Kandi’s Show is About to Tape

Kandi had a very short spin-off on Bravo last year – Kandi Factory.  It was on about the same time as Kim’s – but only had one – maybe two – episodes last year. It must have done well because Bravo picked it up – and Kandi just tweeted that they’ve picked the talent.

@livnlifefree@Kandi kandi what happened to your singing show?”we’re about to tape #KandiFactory‘s full season. Just picked all the talent.

This was the writeup from last spring:  “Bravo Media’s new special, “The Kandi Factory,” stars multi-platinum songwriter and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Kandi Burruss. Ever since Burruss turned Kim Zolciak’s single “Tardy for the Party” into a digital download phenomenon, she has been sought out by thousands of aspiring artists desperate for her musical touch. Burruss believes that if someone has the right combination of raw musical talent and drive, her team at The Kandi Factory can give them a shot at their dream.

In this special Burruss will give two protégés, with no music industry experience, the opportunity to come to Atlanta where she will write an original song for each based on their personal stories. The amateurs will then have the chance to work with her team of experts – comprised of a producer, choreographer and stylist – to master the key elements that make a pop star. Burruss has identified three factors that have to fit together to create a pop sensation: the song, the look and the performance. The hopeful who makes a lasting impression will score the opportunity of a lifetime – a song released and a music video produced by The Kandi Factory. ”

Ding Dong, Boogie’s Gone

Boycott if off.  Boogie’s gone.  And what an exit.  In a week full of Boogie smugness, he was outwitted and outplayed by Dan, Brit, and Ian.  Ian, whose claim to fame is that he can kick himself in the head and probably would have been evicted week one for being a creeper if Boogie hadn’t protected him – outwitted Boogie.  How will Boogie recover from that!

Ian outwitted Boogie

The show starts with Boogie sitting on the couch eating a sucker slouched in a chair.  Boogie – close your legs and sit up! (As Jerry Seinfeld told Andy on WWHL.)

Mike Boogie

When Ian whispers in Boogie’s ear “You’re not going to like some of the things you see,”  Boogie reacted quickly enough to tip Frank off that Ian has gone to the other side.  It looked like Ian realized his mistake immediately.

Meanwhile with the Chenbot – Boogie is sitting with a stiff smile on his face.

Britney’s goodbye message “Ring Ring, what is this telephone doing in the DR? Hello? Oh, hey, Janelle! No, Mike Boogie’s actually not here! But I was just leaving a message for him. Is there anything you’d like to say. Pointing at the camera Brit says, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.” (Priceless – thank you Ian for tipping everyone off about Foogie’s diary room sessions).

Ian:  “I’ve watched you on this show since I was ten and I have nothing but admiration and respect for how you play this game. Now for the hard part.  Since the reset, I’ve been in an alliance called Quack Pack with Dan, Danielle, Britney and Shane. I’m the one who told Britney and Shane you were coming after them. I masterminded your demise. I learned from one of the best, and that is why you are sitting with Julie right now.”

Boogie takes it as a compliment, starts to smile – oh well – he’s gone.

HOH – Ian wins HOH and within seconds has to do nominations.  Knowing Frank will be coming after him, he nominates Frank and Ashley.  That’s 5 nominations for Frank – he broke the record with 4 last week – and has been nominated every week except when he’s HOH.

Frank turns it around and wins the veto .  Obviously, Frank uses the veto.  Ian puts Joe on the block.  Just like that, Joe Ashley is gone.  I’ve got to admit that surprised me.  I guess it’s because she’s buddies with Frank.  That’s the problem with showmances.   So now the house stands with the Quack Pack Alliance – Brit, Shane, Dan, Danielle, and Ian,  what is left of Frank’s alliance – Frank, a mini-alliance between Shane and Joe, a few other mini alliances, and Jenn hanging in there.  I can’t imagine the Quack Pack will last much longer.

Project Runway by BB

The description for this episode starts off “Real women need clothes too.”  First of all, what is Project Runway’s definition of a “real woman?”  Don’t the runway models and Heidi and Nina consider themselves “real women?”  Or maybe they are “fake women.”  I’m so confused.  I could be wrong, but I have a feeling this is not going to be one of my favorite episodes.  I’ve never liked the episodes where the designers are complaining because they’ve never designed for a woman who doesn’t look like a toothpick.  I wonder which designer will be complaining the most.

Heidi introduces some “regular” people to the designers. They have friends in desperate need of a makeover.  Heidi asks the designers if they want to help them out.  Dimitri asks if they have a choice.  Heidi wishes the designers lots of luck.  Wow, Heidi makes it sound as though these clients are hideous trolls or something.  The designers meet Tim and Johnny Lovoy, the Loreal Paris hair stylist in the work room and talk about the makeovers.  They designers have been randomly assigned their clients.  They have one day for the challenge.

The friends and “friends in need” are sent in.  They are in all shapes and sizes and each designer meets with their clients and their friend to find out something about them and what kind of look they are going for.  Ven is the one who is going to make me mad tonight, I can tell already.  He’s trying to be nice to the ladies, but in his talking head is not nice.  On the other end of the spectrum, Gunnar is very excited. He thinks this will be a fun challenge and he says he makes clothing for “regular” women who want to look great.

After going to Mood and getting back to Parsons, each designer talks about what they will be making for their clients.  Nathan is going to try to meet all his client’s demands, which are many.  That might be a mistake. Each client and designer meets with the hair stylists to decide what their look is going to be.

Ven is upset he got a “plus size” woman and some of the others didn’t.  That’s not fair, he says.  Hey, Ven, take a look in the mirror.  You’re not exactly runway material yourself.  Tim comes in to check on the progress of the designers.  He tells Nathan he shouldn’t do everything his client wants because she will look hookerish.  He thinks Christopher is on the right track.  He questions Elena’s decision to make a high-waisted outfit for her client.  Tim tells Gunnar to make sure his dress doesn’t look like a piñata.  Tim doesn’t want Fabio’s dress to look too matronly.  Sonjia’s is trying to design her dress to be figure flattering, but Tim tells her the dress has to look great, too.  Ven is trash talking his client’s shape and comments on her lack of style.  The other designers are not happy about the way Ven is talking about her.  I’m not either.

Tim tells Ven he needs to give his client an epiphany about how she can look.  That’s his challenge.   The other designers think Dimitry’s dress may be a little too plain.  The clients come in for their fittings and the designers compliment them on their new hairstyles.  Elena is being nice to her client and Dimitry says it’s the first time she’s been nice to anyone.  Alicia has made a pink dress for her client, which is way out of her realm.  The other designers think she may be in trouble.  Nathan needs to tell his client he can’t do everything she wants but he still wants to please her.  Gunnar wants his dress to look as good on his plus size model as it would on a size six model.  Ven tells his client her hair looks great.  When he shows her the outfit he made, it’s mostly black and he tells her black is very slimming.  He tries his client’s outfit on her and tells her he will need to get her a bigger belt.  You can tell she’s not happy with the treatment she’s getting from Ven.

Vicious Ven

On the second day, the designers have three hours to finish up and have their clients go to the hair and make-up room. Ven’s client tells him his outfit is nice, but it’s not something she would normally wear.  She tells Ven he’s embarrassing her by telling her they don’t have a belt that would fit her.  Christopher is telling the other designers that Ven is treating his client like crap.  She is tearing up a little and visibly upset.  Ven’s client’s friend tells Ven he didn’t make what they talked about the day before.  The dress he made has no color and looks like something she would wear to a funeral. He tells his client and her friend not to worry, she will look beautiful.

It’s time for the runway and Tim finally rounds everyone up and they are on their way.  The guest judge is Alice Temperly, a British designer.  Nathan’s client models first and her dress looks hoochie.  Elena made her client a skirt and top and it looks ok.  She seems happy with it.  I like the dress Melissa made for her client, but she has this huge scarf that’s hiding the dress.

I love Gunnar’s dress!  It’s fun and flirty and his client is strutting her stuff. You can tell she loves it too.  Alicia’s client has a little pink cocktail dress.  It’s something she usually doesn’t make, but it actually looks nice.  Christopher is upset his client ripped off the jacket he made and carried it in a ball, considering it took him 8 hours to make.  His dress looks nice, though.  Dimitry’s dress is simple and I’m not sure what I think of it.  Fabio’s dress is cute in several shades of gray.  You can tell his client is not used to wearing a dress.  She was the one who was dressed the most masculine in the client consultations.  Wow, Sonjia’s dress is a little too short for her client and not the right style for her petite client.

I’m a little underwhelmed with the results of this challenge.  I think some of the designers really missed the mark with their clients and could use a little course on how to design for different shaped bodies.

Elena, Alicia, Melissa and Christopher are safe and leave the runway. Dimitry, Fabio and Gunnar have the highest scores.  Ven, Sanjai and Nathan have the lowest scores.  Ven tells the others he’s not shocked because he had a more difficult task.

Heidi tells Dimitry’s client she looked confident coming down the runway.  Nina said she looked edgy and Michael liked the fabric choice.  Fabio’s client tells the judges she never wears dresses, but she likes this one because she can still be edgy and show her guns.  Nina loves the dress and the attitude and tells her she looks like a professional with an edge.  Michael tells Fabio it’s a transformation, but it’s still his client.  Gunnar’s client was the best model according to Heidi.  Michael loves the flirty movement of the dress and it brought out her personality.  Nina thinks her dress could be cut a little lower.  Why not show them if you have them?

The low scoring designers will be getting their critiques next.  First is Sonjai’s dress.  Heidi doesn’t like the knot in the front of the dress and it’s too short.  Alice thinks the proportions are off.  Michael thinks it’s too much of a change for her client’s personal style and it’s too much fabric for such a short person.  Ven’s client tells the judges she is not happy with his design.  Her friend agrees.  When Ven tells the judges it’s the first time he’s designed for a real woman, Heidi asks Ven if he’s ever designed for someone who was not real.  Michael tells Ven he didn’t do his client any favors.  Ven’s client’s friend gets upset and tells them Ven didn’t ask enough questions at the consultation.  Heidi tells Ven she likes his client, but not his outfit.  Heidi thinks Nathan’s client’s dress is cheap looking even though she didn’t know it was meant for the stage until he told her.  Nina tells Nathan the dress is a mess.  Michael says his client ended up with a costume, not a look. He says no human being should ever wear tight satin.

The judges talk about Ven not caring anything about his client, but only caring about himself.  Nathan had the easiest client to design for and she should have looked great walking down the runway.  Heidi said she had maternity dresses that looked like Sonjai’s design. They liked the way Fabio made his client go from student to artist.  They think Gunnar gave his client a new lease on life.  Dimitry made his client look hot.

Heidi brings them all out to the runway and tells them one will be the winner and one or maybe more will be out.  Fabio is the winner of the challenge.  I think his client had the biggest transformation.  He has immunity for the next challenge. That means Gunnar and Dimitry are in and leave the runway.  She tells Nathan he is out. Aww, I like Nathan.  Sanjai is in and can leave the runway.  Ven gets a little lecture from Heidi, but she tells him he’s in.  I wish he had gone home.  He comes into the room and tells the others he’s safe, but he doesn’t think he should have been the last one standing.  What a tool.

Next week, the women seem to self-destruct and Ven informs us that men are usually stronger designers.  There’s always one in every bunch, isn’t there?

A Swansong of the Media Whores –  From @QueenzOfMedia’s Twitlongers:

A Few Real Housewives Of New Jersey fans are aware of of the goings on in the twittersphere concerning Johnny and Penny Karagiorgis , most have never heard of them.

Unfortunately these two pieces of trash do play a somewhat pivotal role in the behind the scenes drama that lead to a very dramatic conclusion of #RHONJ this season.

Penny and Johnny are so desperate for fame, they concocted a scheme with Teresa Giudice and a drug addicted FIRED manager of a Gogo Bar (not a strip club)claiming that Melissa Gorga was a stripper at this club. Turns out..she was a bartender (proven by pay stubs and by the actual owner of the club), and the club is not a strip club, in fact it would be illegal for any “stripping” to take place in this club at all. Let’s cut to the chase… Penny and Her husband made claims they had already signed a contract to join the cast of Real Housewives Of New Jersey…turns out they only signed a release to allow bravo to film in their salon.

For months now, Penny and Johnny have been trying to prove their closeness to The Giudice Family, Pete Giudice even joined in on some of their twitter antics …..However…so much for that… as of Today Johnny and Penny have been exposed as complete frauds…The “friendship” with the Giudice Family is over.. Pete has even publicly called him a “cry baby talking smack”…. apparently Johnny and wife were busted talking a great deal of shit about the Giudices… They are trying to claim that someone “altered documents,” and that they never said anything about anyone, because you know, Johnny and Penny don’t gossip or start rumors or cultivate friendships in an effort to get on a show, or manipulate and use people to achieve an iota of fame, they are Saints after all. *blank stare*

Well, LOL, I didn’t think it could get any better, but guess what,,, It Does! Yesterday (according to my sources) a phone call took place with Penny and Bravo Producers….Johnny could be heard in the background screaming and yelling “Tell Bravo To Go Fuck Themselves” (direct quote) Penny was informed by Bravo she is to STOP claiming she has joined the cast..she has no contract, has not been offered a contract, and will not be offered a contract! Bravo also has very damaging footage of Penny and Johnny they are CONSIDERING airing just to expose them because of the extensive headaches they have caused Bravo. This footage involves potentially illegal activities.

My Sources also informed me that Teresa, as we all know, gets paid for her magazine interviews… Bravo is supposed to get a cut of all monies earned from doing these interviews… To avoid giving Bravo their cut, Teresa would get the payments made to Joe…and guess to who else? …yes Penny..through the salon..just to avoid paying bravo their fair share….let’s just say, Bravo is not happy, not happy at all, to the point of not taking or returning calls from Teresa…. a call made by penny to a bravo staffer this morning was also not taken or returned.

Teresa is beyond livid, because it has become beyond obvious that Johnny and Penny were using her to get on the show..and then doing very shady things against her behind her back…anything they could to increase their chances. I actually feel sorry for Teresa, because it was obvious to everyone else what Penny and Johnny were up to, and it took her almost a year to realize it.

The train has fallen off the track for Johnny and Penny, before it even left the station….It was fun while it lasted, but alas it’s over, poor dears.

Next One …

Breaking Real Housewives Of New Jersey News… and this is big! #RHONJ

According to my source Caroline Manzo has decided not to return for season 5! She is done with the show for good and has no interest in being apart of it any more… Jacqueline Laurita Will be returning………

And, I personally may have a little egg on my face… It appears that congratulations MAY be in order for *drum rolls* Priscilla DiStasio , Teresa Giudice’s make up artist. There is a big internal struggle going on at Bravo at the moment over who to add to the cast… Priscilla is the leading contender by far….
As i stated on Saturday.. Penny aka @pdkhair is completely out of the running… no way…no how…no penny.

And the third one …

#RHONJ SOURCE (i tweeted the earlier tweet too soon lol)

On This week’s episode there will be a huge blow up between Tre and Caroline at the vineyard in the house they are staying at and there may be some interesting potential conflict that begins between Jac and Caroline… My source said It appears that Jac will take up for Tre during the conflict and that may lead to some further tension between the two…but source said it will be resolved in a future episode…I already tweeted that Joe Giudice is caught admitting that they have been paid for all magazine interviews..(no real news there any more, since we all knew this already, just further verification)

My source also told me that Dina Manzo’s show will not get picked up for another season (not sure if that has been reported publicly or not) but because of this Bravo has been HEAVILY courting Dina to rejoin the cast…This is probably a big reason Caroline decided not to Return. (side note, source told me last week The Manzo’s are considering a big move to California, could this be an indication that there is something big on the horizon for Caroline, similar to Bethenny?? makes you go hmmmmmmm)

As for any new information about next season’s cast…Bravo ,as I reported earlier, is for sure adding one new cast member, but is considering adding two …the top 2 people bravo is courting (to fill other position), are former cast members..I already mentioned Dina…so that means ….*sips her tea* …Nothing is final as to who the other person will be yet… (have been told that all former cast members are very hesitant about returning)

Tomorrow I will (hopefully) have information for you about this Sunday’s much anticipated return of WWHL featuring a showdown between Caroline and Jac…

That’s all for now..i will report that Tre has been trying to make amends with bravo to repair their relationship….appears to be working..although still very shaky.

(Note from Nomoredrama – I want to be very clear that these are from

Skylar& Grace Alexis (@QueenzOfMedia) – and when she talks about the source it is her source)

Happy Birthday Shamrock! Hope you have a great day today.

  4. BB says:

Oops! I see a mistake in my Project Runway blog. I named the three lowest scorers as Sonjai, Ven and Fabio. Should be Nathan instead of Fabio. Fabio won and Nathan went home. Sorry about that.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

Great blog, BB. I agree with you, I’m so tired of these designers being afraid of “real” women (hate that term, too!) Who are they planning to design for if they ever make it in the industry? Supermodels only?

      • Contessa says:

BB- awesome blog! I hate those comments of VEN,what a POS. Like you said are skinny women not real. Heck half the designers for Plus size just make us look more hideous. I wish I was a better artists so I could come up with some designs- LOL. I wanted to smack VEN, and if I had been the customer I would have embarrassed him big time on the runway. Once again great reporting, very right on!

    • disgrazia4 says:

BB that was a great blog. Ven is on my poo list now. He could have done a much better job with his clients outfit. I remember the white suit he designed was lovely and certainly something a woman in her 40’s would enjoy. Go here to see to see extended videos Project Runway including, Bad Budhu and his and all contestants extended judging and Tim Gunn’s extended judging as well. And designer’s dish.

Bad Budhu,I no longer care for him.

      • kendo says:

He was a total ass! The way the judges were giving it to him, I thought for sure he’s gone!
I don’t think he’ll last much longer. He has no personalty! This season has been bla bla!
This show seems to be on it’s last leg!

        • LaineyLainey says:

I figured they wouldn’t get rid of him (vEN). Bullies seem to come out on top a lot of the time. That’s why they don’t stop bullying people, it works for them. The guy they cut was so sweet and did exactly what his silly client asked. She wanted something that would look sexy and flashy onstage and that’s what he gave her. He was so upset because he tried so hard to please her – – – AND HE DID!!!!

        • disgrazia4 says:

I am not to pleased with the crew they have this year. I used to love this show and still want to.

          • LaineyLainey says:

do you mean you don’t like the contestants? I still love this show. There have been seasons when I did not, I have to say.

            • trudie says:

The contestants this season are so serious. There is no joking or laughing in the workroom like in past seasons. Even Tim has commented on it. I know that they are all competing, but have some fun while you are competing.

              • Called A Princess... says:

This season has a lot of negative characters. Their seems to be a lot of naked ambition. Ven had one reasonable point, ALL the models should have been plus sized to give the game a more even hand. ChriStopher needs to stop with the finger pointing drama. He has some talent but it will get lost in his need to rat other people out for his own personal gain. After his behavior towards Andrea he has no room to talk about manners and integrity. After watching all the seasons of Project Runway, Jeffrey Sebelia treatment of Angela’s mother and Christian Siriano’s treatment of the AA prom girl client were far worst then Ven’s grime apathy and pure thoughtlessness. Siriano and Sebelia still won the season with the glow of their barbaric behavior still on the minds of the viewer. Fashion is filled with the emotional and physical anorexic of any given generation. The shock is not so much Ven’s unwillingness to adapt, but Heidi Klum’s need to pretend that she did not know what he meant by the “Real Woman” statement. She is the emotional anorexic! We will see first hand, next week, when she stares down the crying female contestant. She is only cold when the females cry. She looks like female tears are a foreign apparition. LOL. JMHO.

      • obx1 says:

Thanks dizgrazia. I’ll check it out.

  5. FlowerPower says:

    Happy Birthday, Shamrockblonde!

Loved the Project Runway recap, BB. The “real women” challenge always makes me spitting mad. I liked Ven until this episode.

    • COCfarm says:

What did you think of Suits & Burn Notice Flowerpower? I’m confused anymore with Burn. I’m sort of ‘burning’ out on it. I thought suits was great except the end w mike and the old girlfriend made no sense to me. The bromance w mike and Harvey was pure magic!! My husband and I were laughing at the two of them. I read that the actors were hired separately and did not meet until they started shooting. Lucky they had such great chemistry.

      • trudie says:

Suits: It bothered me that Harvey didn’t go to Grammy’s services. It seemed like something he would do.

        • COCfarm says:

          Yep. That was wrong too.
I’m going to miss harmon. There is something about his voice that was mesmerizing. It sounds comforting yet dangerous at the same time.

          • trudie says:

I agree. He has a hypnotizing voice. But, he vowed that “this” wasn’t over, so you know he will be back.

            • COCfarm says:

Yeah, I liked that he might be back. What a creepy thing for him to do with the doctored doc. Poor Donna and all she had to go through.

I liken his voice to what a snake would sound like it if had a human voice. Brings you in close so he can nab you.

      • Eastbayca says:

I enjoyed Suits and look forward to when it comes back.
I love Harvey and Mike’s relationship. Luis (sp) face goes with his character.
You are right the thing with the ex-girlfriend is not the best or it is building anticipation to when Mike and Rachel get together.

        • COCfarm says:

The guy who plays Louis is a commedian. I think last weeks episode where he’s doing his John travolta strut in the office must have been a hoot for him to shoot! I laughed so hard at that. I’m sure people on set could not keep a straight face.

        • lovemamaearth says:

I wish they wouldn’t show men as tramping whores and then the women forgive them.

Mostly I like Suits too. And Common Law. I like the strong lady head of the firm.

          • Powell says:

I like Suits also. Didn’t get into it to much though. I’ll watch next season. Common Law-I love Michael Ely and Warren Cole. Warren Cole didn’t get on Twitter until the last few episodes. It was funny cause Michael and the producer kept telling him to start tweeting.

        • COCFarm says:

Thanks so much for posting this Trudie. I enjoyed the article. I think overall, the episode went too fast. So much more to explore but loved the twists….except Tess.

  6. SharonsKyKitchen says:

I just wrote a check, put it in envelope (remembered the stamp, long story) and I never felt prouder yet sad in a way to doit.

    RIP Lynn

    • BB says:

🙂 and 😦 Happy we can do something and sad for the reason we’re doing it.

    • xy&z says:

Me too Sharon… really grateful about the fund set up for her Lynn’s son. I think it’s such great way to honor Lynn. Wow just wow. (Quoting someone I saw here recently). Loss for words lately, but so wonderful to have the familiar to read in morning, and the all posts after… greatful for all the volunteer writers and all the hard work to keep the blog! I had to re-registered to get here?? Not a problem.. but in the process changed the Bee Hive moniker (which was ref. to a honey bee malady I had read about). It was a post haste make-do when I did first post in June. It’s too heavy an analogy then and especially now.

      Also Happy Birthday Shamrock!

  7. trudie says:

Happy, happy day Shamrockblonde! May it be fabulous from beginning to end.

Re Project Runway: I despise Ven. Every season they do a “real” woman challenge and every season the designers are surprised. Ven was just rude and dismissive to his “model.” I am plus-sized and can sooo identify with his model. I hate shopping. It is depressing and frustrating. Ven had the opportunity to make his model feel better about herself and instead he shattered her confidence even more. A pox on his house.

    • Zoey says:

I agree. Suddenly he’s getting the bad edit, but he totally said what he said! I thought he might be a contender to win, but they are showing his ugly side, so I doubt he wins. What is with these guys? Remember the little odd guy last season who hated when women had boobies? And Ven or Van, whatever his name is, he’s had a few good meals himself to be complaining about someone being pudgy!

He was supposed to make her feel special; what a mean guy. He’s chubby and bald, he needs to shut up, lol!

      • kendo says:

Tim Gun should have taken him to the side and told him what an ass he was being!

        • disgrazia4 says:

I think that would have been too instructional. He is not supposed to tell the designers how to do a challenge. As it was, Tim offered Ven some wise advice that Ven was too self absorbed to hear. Tim is a class act. When he addressed Victor before escorting him to the workroom, he commented him on his courtesy and character. That was another clue for Ven. Wonder if he heard it?

  8. butterisafruit says:

Happy Birthday Shamrockblonde, have a beautiful day.

Thank you everyone for the blogs. It’s not easy work, I do appreciate it.

I’m so glad Boogie/Mike is gone. He’s the biggest pig to ever play the game and they keep
bringing him BACK. He uses the “N” word constantly, one of the co producers is his mentor,
and said he was going to Michigan to sleep with Dan’s wife.(and he didn’t say it like THAT) Julie Chen should take a Hazmat shower after talking to him.
MY next wish is to get rid of Danielle. What a liar.

  11. COCfarm says:

What is going on in ny? So sad…again.

    • Powell says:

      The Empire State Bldg??

      • COCfarm says:

        • Powell says:

10 people shot. I wish this senseless violence would STOP! I pray for the victims and their families. 😦

          • It’s being reported that a man with a sawed off shotgun ran after another man, then shot him in the head. A security guard from the Empire State bldg then ran down the shooter….he didn’t even have a gun, so brave. Police were already in the area (Empire State bldg always has police protection) so within minutes, the gunman was shot to death. Sadly a woman who was an innocent bystander was also killed by a stray bullet. The person originally shot is apparently alive, but condition unknown. Many people had wounds because the shotgun shoots a lot of pellets plus getting caught in the crossfire with the police shooting, so that’s why so many people got injured. No terroism threat, but still unknown why the shooter shot the 1st victim.

This is a very crowded area of NYC, 34th st & 5th Ave. Many tourists waiting to get into the Empire State Bldg (it fronts 5th Ave) and many people on their way to work.

NYC police are being commended for quickly stopping the shooter, and the quick response of ambulences & emergency staff.

Mayor is now addressing the crowd….

            • LaineyLainey says:

this makes me sick. got to check on my son now

            • Mayor Bloomberg is saying the shooter had been fired from his job a year ago & was upset. Terrible tragedy, keep the victims, police officers & EMTs in your prayers. Commish Kelly says the shooter killed a coworker. A construction worker followed the shooter, the shooter actually had a pistol & fired on police that were trying to stop him, police fired back & killed him. Very sad….

          • Now there’s hope that the innocent bystander shot, a woman, is alive, thank God. Plus not a shotgun, but a hand gun was the only weapon the shooter used. The shooter tried to shoot the pursuing officers, they shot him. So many bystanders shot from stray bullets….at least 9 taken to local hospitals.

            • If the construction worker who saw the murder hadn’t told the police, the shooter might have gotten away. The victim was 41, the shooter targeted only him. People were running for cover, it was the “wild west” as described by witnesses. Good news, all 9 taken to the hospital will survive. One was a tourist from N. Carolina

              • LaineyLainey says:

Thanks be to God, my son is A-ok. I sent him a text right away, I was on my way to an appointment. He finally replied “Shooting was in mid-town, I’m at Union Square. Lots of cops everywhere. Police helicopters flying over Manhattan earlier today. Kind of creepy.” and no, y’all my son is not a KKB fan. This REALLY is creepy. A man arguing with a woman is not creepy, Kelly BeenSomeone. Weird how I made this about KKB. you might say its…. creeeeeepy.

                • Boobah says:

Lainey, I was worried you thought I was being insenstive. I am glad u at least got a small giggle. I understand, believe me. My best friend worked near the trade center on 911, i was very worried even tho its not the same as a child. Luckily and by the grace of God, she had called in sick that day. But i didnt know that for hours because the phone systems were shutting down.
I am very relieved for you.

                  • LaineyLainey says:

thanks again for blogs everyone 🙂

glad to know Lisa’s show was taped, i had wondered abput it. as i said before, i will watch it.

  13. Lulu says:

Good Morning!!! Thank you bb for another great blog!

I happened to watch the project runway marathon yesterday here and there that is. I watched the latest one and all I have to say is Ven is a complete jerk! That poor hard working mamma needed lots and lots and lots of TLC!! Not to be ridiculed! I really hope that project runway did something special for her.

Anyone catch The week women went away? What a great show!!

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

      Hi Lulu,

I haven’t gotten a chance to catch “The Week the Women Went Away,” but my Mom has. She said it is a very good show. Now, I’m trying to find a way I can catch a repeat of the 1st and 2nd episodes so I can get all caught up.

  14. LuvMyGals says:

    Happy Birthday ShamrockBlonde!
Thanks BB for the Project Runway recap. One more week until my oldest goes back to school, then I have a greater possibility of getting to a TV when I want. Love Project Runway, especially Tim Gunn. “Don’t let that dress look like a pinata.” Mwwwaaah Tim – love his fashion advice. Hey, where has Michelle our fashion expert been?

  15. jules says:

Great recap BB. I so wanted to reach through the television and SMACK Ven in the head! Where does he come off criticizing someone for her weight? He did everything to that poor woman except actually call her fat to her face. What an a-hole! This is what drives me crazy about Project Runway and “designers” in general. When he told Tim that she was a plus size and Tim asked what size, he said “at least a 14” like he meant 114. 80% of the female population looks like that woman. How are the rest of us supposed to dress if they only “design” for stick figures. I was so glad to see the other designers were just as disgusted with Ven. I had my fingers and toes crossed that he would auf’d. I was so disappointed that it wasn’t him. His outfit was awful. Even though Nathan’s outfit wasn’t great, at least he listened to his client. You’re right BB, Ven is a tool.

  16. Three Blessed says:

    Happy Birthday Shamrock! Cheers!

  17. Fly says:

Hi y’all. Great job with the blogs. I have a problem, when Lynn would post a new blog she would tweet the link on twitter, that’s the only way I seem to be able to get to the blog including the chat. I know I’m doing something wrong could someone help? Now I’m having to go to the aug 18th blog and scroll down each day to the new link. Thank you guys in advance for the help!

    • BB says:

Fly. I’m on a laptop and I always look at the Recent Posts, click on the top one, and save it as a favorite (replacing the former post). That way at least I have the most recent blog for that day. Not sure what device you’re using, so this may not be of any help. I would tweet it to you, but I don’t do twitter.

    • klmh says:

Im not an expert, but put this address in and bookmark it. It will bring you to the newest page:

    • I’m sorry Fly – I don’t use twitter so I can’t send out the link that way. I think the directions KLMH gave will work though. That’s what I do.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

I just have mine saved in bookmarks. I use Google Chrome, so when I start typing lynn, it automatically directs me to Even on my phone it does that on safari.

      • Lady Chatterley says:

That’s what I do – I type in lynnf… and then it autocompletes. The newest blog is always on top.

    • Fly- follow me @MomMarti, since I am on twitter I will make sure to post the link to the new bogs.

    • Winston says:

Not sure if this helps but you can click on “Home” in the lynn and chicago banner and that will take you to the newest blog, once there, look to the right and you will see “recent posts” if you click on the most recent post it will reload that day’s blog with all the comments at the bottom. The other way is once you read the blog for the day, click on the comments at the very bottom and that will open the comments for the blog, too.

      • Winston says:

Also, to the right is “recent comments” if you click on a particular name it will take you to that comment in the blog and get you into the comments section.

  18. Post updated with New Jersey Gossip!

    • LavaLady says:

      Wow! Lots of NJ gossip

    • plainviewsue says:

I had read those stories on twitter. From what I understand, Queenz of Media is firmly in the Gorga camp & despises Teresa. So take it for what it’s worth.

      • she also had it out for Lynn

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Now that you say that Blue, I seem to remember some rumblings about that. Was she saying nasty things about Lynn or did they get into some type of fight or something? I don’t recall the exact story.

          • long time ago, with the mm situation….Queenz went after Lynn & KJo too. Then the disputed blog got taken down….things went quiet again. We needed to know what happened with mm, queenz thought a young man was being crucified. Now things are better, mm is back on twitter & he is very sorry about what he did. So things are what they are.

            • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Oh, I see. Thanks for explaining.

            • Carwtheels says:

Thanks for the explantion. I thought the post was extremely bias against Teresa.

            • Hannah says:

Okay, I’m a lurker and I plan to stay that way, BUT I’ve been wondering about MM. I’ve been reading Lynn’s blog since the Hub Pages, but then I stopped coming by for a while, the last I left, MM was blogging about his exploits in NY. When I returned he’s no longer blogging. Can anyone fill me in about this? What did he do?

              RIP Lynn! Missing you!

              • Called A Princess... says:

Sorry Hannah, he turned out to be dishonorable and no one here ever wants to write about him again. JMHO.

                • I Need A Life! says:

OH..I’m with Hannah. I want the details. Draw the curtains, pour the coffee, pull up a chair, and share.

              • mrs peabody says:

in a nutshell I think he was telling one story to lynn and another story to wsl and a different one to kristen and who knows how many others, anyway I think they finally figured out he wasn’t being truthful in what he was telling each of them (like negative things about the other person) and wasn’t truthful in his background and i don’t know what else was going on but that ended the relationships with them. If any thing else happened I don’t know about it.

                • I Need A Life! says:

I’m not on Twitter. This kid sounded so stupid, that I didn’t really want to read the blog. I never understood why he was here and what he was adding to the discussion. I gave Lynn the benefit of the doubt, because I assumed she was helping him get a start..with whatever.

                  • LavaLady says:

He did post once after Lynn’s death to offer sympathy to all of us here

                  • LaineyLainey says:

Dear I Need a Life: it was an awkward time. I felt that it was best to measure my words more than usual during his glory days here. But it’s over and many of us wish him well, hope he uses that time as a life lesson.

  20. VV says:

WOW NMD! The Blog keeps getting better and better. Love the way you formatted everything Today. You learned from the best and are carrying that torch proud. A big thank you to all your contributors and people helping behind the scene as well!!!

I have never seen Big Brother but gotta say that pic of Ian is priceless. Anyone outwitted by him has got to feel a bit dim!

Great blogs. Thanks to everyone who came together to keep Lynn’s blog alive.

And thanks to BB, Princess, MelTheHound and everyone else who tried to help me with my technical difficulties yesterday. Thank you. I will just let my avatar remain a quilt when on the iPad! Don’t want to start the problem all over again!

  22. Orson says:

I can’t see ALL the Manzos moving to CA. That would mean they’d have to give up The Brownstone. Or not, come to think of it. Isn’t it jointly owned by Albert and his brother? Yeah, it’s a family business. But still, Albert would want some sort of job besides being a Bravolebrity.

    • LuvMyGals says:

I don’t think the Manzo’s have any ownership in the Brownstone any longer. Hurray! No Carolyn and not having to see her pathetic children any longer – what a great relief that would be. I can’t believe Carolyn would actually move to California (a place where she’d have to reestablish herself or work hard.) I would guess they’re going to retire (please!)

    • kendo says:

I don’t think there’s any way she would live the show, unless her whole family is getting a gig. What would her kids do if she wasn’t on the show? This has to be an easy pay check for all of them. I’m surprised they brought her back after last year!

      • Winston says:

That’s exactly what I thought…what would her kids do for work and Greggy and Vito and what about her book? I don’t see it being a success anyway but more so without the RHNJ.

  23. LaineyLainey says:

Hey BB, loving the PR blog. Esp this Hey, “Ven, take a look in the mirror. You’re not exactly runway material yourself.”^^^^ I wish his sweet client had said that to him. Especially when he kept repeating out loud “this belt is too small. this belt is too small. this belt isn’t big enough….” he was insufferable and mean. I used to like him.

  24. Amanda says:

Re Ven – it just seems as if there is something “off” with him. I noticed this from the first episode. His interactions with people are very flat. Even when he leaves the runway his “thank you” is so forced and robotic sounding. Even during his talking heads he has little inflection to his voice. The fact that he saw absolutely nothing wrong with how he spoke to his client, his inability to take her feelings into account… It may be a stretch but for any of you that have watched “Parenthood” on NBC Ven reminds me of Max Braverman. Max has Asperger’s and has to be taught the proper way to respond to compliments and criticism. Normally, I would never suggest something like this as I know we only see snippets of what is going on and the editing, etc but like I said before I thought this about Ven from the very first episode and runway show.

    • Zoey says:

He’s definitely different. At the very least he has a huge ego. Even when the judges made a point of leaving him on the stage after the eliminated one left, which you don’t usually see, he just didn’t take it to heart or show any humility. Heidi specifically told him, ‘You are the problem, not your client!’, and still no emotion from him.

      • Called A Princess... says:

Ven may come from a closed community. He seems very Indian (from India or that part of the world) to me. I do not know how long he has been in the United States, but he does have, at least a dialect. I guess he arrived here when he was 4. I think it is scary that Heidi Klum is giving people advice on how to treat other people. She should stick to concepts like cheap and where the designers clothing places the “boobs”! Maybe leave the self improvement to a doctor. I love Project Runway, it has always been my favorite Reality show, but the personnel at the top of the food change seem no more evolved and less shallow then the ones, that one might think, one would find, at the bottom. Likable at a glance, but don’t look too close because things can look pretty ugly, pretty fast. JMHO.

  25. VV says:

With all due respect to Quincy, she used to be neutral on Teresa (almost tilting on the supporting side) Now, she is clearly not. Interesting read. However, I’m taking it with 1/4 of a grain of salt!

  26. RealHousewifeVA says:

Regarding the NJ gossip, I take anything QueenzofMedia says with a HUGE grain of salt. They are obsessed with Caroline.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

The Queenzof Media are also firmly in Melissa and her witchy sisters’ (who have — Lysa in particular — tweeted the nastiest things about Teresa and her family) and her evil makeup artist’s (who has also tweeted the most disgusting and vile things about Teresa and Joe) camp.

So, I’m not quite sure how much of this QueenzofMedia gossip I believe.

      • BB says:

Sorry guys. I have no clue about who this person is. I just thought it might be an interesting read. I won’t make that mistake again. Lol.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

No problem, BB. I see no problem with putting it in there, as long as the other side/perspective is also included.

        • RealHousewifeVA says:

LOL no I totally don’t mind it being in the blog, I like to read all gossip 🙂 Just saying that since I know how much they are anti-Teresa, it’s not always the most reliable when it comes to her. Queenz doesn’t know anymore about the Posche finale than what both sides are saying. Melissa says it was a setup that Teresa was part of while Teresa claims that she had no part in the setup. We’ll have to see how it plays out.

I swear, seeing how much Caroline hates Teresa and wants to make sure everyone hates her, I would not be surprised if SHE sent that guy to the salon that day to set up Melissa and make it look like Teresa.

        • The Tin Man says:

BB: It was an interesting read. I enjoyed it, and I appreciate your efforts. I hope you won’t get discouraged. You cited the source, so people can decide for themselves how credible it is. I don’t believe you owe anybody another source that balances out anything. You are doing a fine job, and you have nothing to feel sorry about, nor any mistake to acknowledge. Thank you for what you are doing.

        • Lady Chatterley says:

Don’t be – it was interesting. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out…

        • lovemamaearth says:

Please accept this in the spirit in which it is intended:
“No panties were bunched during the formation of this comment.” 🙂

        • LaineyLainey says:

no apologies necessary, BB. It’s out there, it’s hw related, it pertains. And..”.the dude abides”… (from one of my favorite movies “The Big Lebowski”)

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

If we have gossip from an anti-Giudice source like the Queenz, it would be nice of it could be balanced with a source that is also anti-gang-up-on-the-Giudices-with-no-mention-or-focus-on-the-dirt-of-the-other-cast-members. I say this very respectfully, and I mean no offense. JMHO

        • klmh says:

          I NAHDP,
Do you want a balanced source for just the Giudice’s bad press or are you talking about a balanced source from all housewives gossip? I think that might be an impossible task, n’est pas? Just wondering…

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

            Good Morning, KLMH,

I like balanced sources for all of the housewives gossip whenever possible. I understand that this is not possible all the time.

I apologize sincerely if I offended you and Tin Man with my comments. The Queenz of Media have been incredibly nasty and vicious. That is all I wanted to point out. I think I was reacting more to Queenz than anything else based on the vicious behavior I have seen from them in the past.

That is all. Again, I apologize if I offended both you and Tin Man. I have also expressed my opinion to BB that I do not think she did anything wrong.

            • klmh says:

You didn’t offend me, you have a right to your opinion as I have, and I didn’t mean it to come across that way. I tried to write my thoughts in a non-threatening way, but obviously failed. Again. Its just that sometimes trying to balance a positive with a negative in the same blog would to me, be an impossible task. Something positive will come out in a day or a week, perhaps a month, or in my eyes concerning the Giudice’s, never, 🙂 though.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

LOL. You were not threatening in your post at all. I was reacting to this particular comment and the comments I read below between Tin Man and yourself. I figured I’d kill 2 birds with one stone and offer my sincere apologies to the BOTH of you and explain my position all in one place (which was in response to this particular comment and question of yours).

And, believe me, I get it. I totally understand why people do not like or even hate the Giudices. I am not in love with them either (In fact, last season, I was a very vocal critic of both Teresa and Joe). I just do not like BRAVO and their castmates’ focus on only their wrongdoing without also pointing out the shady and unethical behavior of their castmates. I also do not like the nasty and vicious behavior of Queenz of Media. That’s all.

I come and leave in peace. XOXO 😀

                • klmh says:

I don’t know who Queenz of Media is but it will be fun to see how these posts plays out, won’t it?
I had my head butts with Lynn as well as a lot of other bloggers and posters though, and mean or criticizing statements were made from both sides of the aisle, to be fair.
Im going now to see if I can find out who Queenz is though…

              • Contessa says:

I agree KLMH about the balance, sometime it will come out later. It’s kind of like balancing the news…some day’s it’s good some day bad. I think we just have to follow the stories as they come out and see what is true and what is false. I think reporting this was a good thing, and we can judge for ourselves and see where this will go. I believe Lynn would have reported anything new or gossipy as well.

    • plainviewsue says:

RHV and Detox. I posted above the same! Should have read through all the posts!

      • RealHousewifeVA says:

lol no prob, I’m always guilty of not reading all the way through, especially when I’m crunched for time

  27. plainviewsue says:

BB, please don’t think u did anything wrong!!!!! We all like to read what is out there, and everyone can choose to believe or not believe what is written!!!

    • Amanda says:

ITA ^^^^^ I don’t have the twitter and I usually read LynnFam and 2 other sites at work (so I have to briefly skim) I appreciate all the views. I personally have NO SIDE in this whole debate – especially because I now longer have Bravo as a channel – so I like to see what everyone is saying!

      • KatLG says:

I am just happy to be able to come her, I will read everything and enjoy it for what it is to me, an escape, my guitly pleasure.
I simply don’t have the words to express my gratitude to everyone for keeping “The Family” together.

        • LaineyLainey says:

Hi KatLG – it is great isn’t it? It’s almost miraculous that we were able to stay together thanks to a handful of talented, generous and hardworking individuals. Keep posting when you can! It is really fun.

  28. plainviewsue says:

So, I must truly have Teresa on the brain, cos I actually had a dream about her last night!

I dreamed I was watching tv and Teresa was starring in a sitcom! I remember thinking to myself in the dream good for her!!!!

So I caught a little bit of the rerun of the season 3 NJ reunion last night. I have to be honest; I couldn’t watch it all. I could not watch Caroline’s lemon sucking face anymore. Anytime Melissa or Kathy spoke, that is when she would grin. Do you remember that Caroline said Teresa called Melissa an asshole? I didn’t. I’d say that isn’t quite as bad as Caroline calling her own daughter one.

Andy was so firmly on the other’s side; I don’t know how Teresa sat there. If it was me, I would have picked myself up and left. Melissa and Kathy did not get asked one tough question. Melissa gets asked about her singing. One little question on Danielle. Every tough question was directed towards Teresa, and that was just in the 20 minutes I watched. It made me sick.

Andy has to drill and I mean DRILL Melissa on her contact with Danielle. No glossing over. Melissa said she contacted Danielle because she HATED Teresa. Go there Andy. Ask Caro & Jacqueline why they have absolutely no issues with Danielle being contacted by Melissa. Danielle, who Caro had a sit down with, to stay out of their lives. Andy needs to ask after knowing all of this, can you maybe understand why Teresa was so wary of her sister in law.

Time to start the day. Love to all.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

I agree, yesterday I changed the channel when the reunion came on. I really would love if Danielle provided the actual emails to Teresa/Andy and then let Melissa explain it. It was a total gang up on Teresa and I’m truly hoping she skips the reunion this year and tells them to screw themselves after what they’ve done to her these past 2 seasons.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I would also love to see the Gorga audition tape where they promise to take Teresa down.

    • MelTheHound says:

All I remember about Andy from that reunion was his sick shit eating grin as they were all piling on Teresa. That’s why I’ve dubbed him the 4th Hyena in that particular reunion show. I’m sure he’ll be the 5th if Jac consents to participating in the S4 reunion.

  29. BB says:

I guess I should have known better than to post any NJ gossip (and that’s what it is, pure gossip)from any source. I don’t have all the inside info on the NJ people nor have any real knowledge about who is right and who is wrong or who is pro this camp or who is pro that camp or who is biased or whatever. To me most of it’s guessing and speculation anyway. I’m not on twitter and don’t follow any of these housewives or their sisters or their brothers or their mothers, or their kids, or their roommates. IAgain, sorry about that. Lesson learned.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

No need to apologize, BB. Please don’t feel bad. My hat is off to you for all of the blogs and everything else that you do for this blog.

Lynn used to provide information about the housewives from all over the web and from her inside sources. All you were trying to do was the same thing. There is no harm in that. So do NOT beat yourself up.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

BB I commented above, but please don’t apologize! I don’t always get on twitter and stuff, so I love to see all the gossip and speculation, regardless. I was just pointing out that someone like Queenz is sooo pro one side so it’s hard to take what they say too seriously. But still, I love to read it! Please don’t stop posting what you find!

    • VV says:

      BB, No big deal really!
I’m on Team Lynn 😉 which includes everybody here!

    • The Tin Man says:

As far as I’m concerned, it’s the people who were criticizing your efforts that should be apologizing to you.

      • klmh says:

Yes, indeed. I appreciate your efforts to bring us interesting information about these characters. I’ll make up my own mind from reading several sources, and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if the Giudice’s tried to rip off Bravo. They tried it with the US gov’t.

        • LaineyLainey says:

You make a good point, KLMH – on both things. Today’s report (w/sources cited) and the Guidice’s modus operendi.

          • klmh says:

Tx. There is a list at few times a year of the dumbest thieves and crooks published but I haven’t been able to find their names yet. Maybe they’re using aliases?

      • RealHousewifeVA says:

No one criticized BB (at least not that I saw). I personally criticized QueenzofMedia who I think is very nasty. Are we now not allowed to comment on the sources of rumors just because they are posted on the blog? I’m confused.

They also went after Lynn once, and that pissed me off, then, too.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Thank You, RVA. It is Queenz of Media with whom I have a problem — definitely NOT BB (and I expressed that to her).

        • The Tin Man says:

Is someone saying that you are not allowed to comment on the sources of rumors? I certainly didn’t say that, so I’m not following the reason for your confusion. It’s good that the source is outed as biased if that is the case. I don’t know so I’m glad for the information.

    • Contessa says:

You did a GOOD thing reporting, that is part of this blog, reporting what is going on. I would rather read the gossip here than go look for it. Don’t stop reporting this kind of stuff because it gives some essence to the HW stories. Lynn would have reported anything new that she found as well. With regard to the source, I don’t know the backstory with Lynn, but let’s all SUPPORT BB here, as this was simple reporting and relaying news to us. We all know it’s gossip and will figure it all out in due time. Give yourself a pat on the back because you are doing a phenomenal job and I like that you included this gossipy item. It makes me want to do a bit of research on this for fun!

      • BB says:

Thanks, everybody. No harm, no foul. Everything’s good. I don’t want to cause any casinos! 😀 Especially since there are so other things going on, like those poor people involved in the Empire State Bldg. shooting and Isaac heading towards the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Poor Haiti. Those people have been through so much already.

        • Winston says:

I sometimes wish islands like Haiti/DR came with an anchor they could just pull up and a tug boat could attach and pull them out of harms way until the storm blows over. Disaster averted and lives saved.

          • PrincessPindy says:

It’s not a funny situation but that comment made me picture it as a cartoon, chugging away, lol.

        • Orson says:

To reiterate what others have said, you done good! Okay, I paraphrased it too. You reported what was being said and you pointed out WHO SAID IT. You’re not responsible for other people’s biases. Please, keep up the good reporting.

    • TrashyT says:

Lynn’s blog (both old and new) is my one stop shop for all Bravo gossip so I appreciate reading all the stuff that is out there. So please continue to post these items and then the Lynn family can chime in with their own viewpoints and we will get a more balanced picture. Again, a big thank you for providing this site.

      • Zoey says:

I agree, THANK YOU BB for your blogging of anything and everything you get info on! Who cares if it doesn’t balance out between good guys and bad guys, that’s certainly how life works. We’re all adults and can judge for ourselves what we choose to read, to believe, or to research further. Sorry you felt bad, please know you’re appreciated and you caused NO casinos!

        • Winston says:

          *New Disclaimer*
No Casino’s were caused during the production of this blog. Should a casino arise after reading the blog, please note, it was not the intent of the blog producers to cause said casino. Amen!

          • ms molly says:

I also thank you BB and everyone else that blogs for Lynnfam. I love reading anything and everything housewives and because of you, I still have my (guilty) pleasure.

          • Zoey says:

            Too funny Winston!

          • Lady Chatterley says:

            Awesome, Winston! 🙂

We should post this as a disclaimer leading into our daily blog…

  30. Melanie says:

It would be much easier to contribute (and Lynn’s family would get more money) if someone set up a paypal account. 🙂

I just read there was a shooting in NYC in front of the Empire State building?! I hope everyone is okay…

  33. MelTheHound says:

    Happy Birthday Shamrockblonde ! 😀 😀 😀 😀

  34. keida says:

BB, NMD, and everyone else responsible for the blogs: way to go!!!! You’re doing a great job!!! I’ve been reading everyday, just too busy to comment as I have lunch duty. BB don’t apologize for the rumors, you cited your source. That’s enough for ppl to see where the info came from and make their own decisions. Anyways, NJ always gets everyone too heated. Maybe we all feel like we’re a part of their family and getting angry when others are bashing our family member.

    • Chicago Diane says:

I agree- BB, you are doing everything you can- we do get heated becasue we feel Teresa is being piled on- but you cited the fact that they have a bias- that is all you can do. I too don’t have time to read many other sources, and appreciate that you bring it together. You have all done a phenomenal job which, I for one VERY MUCH APPRECIATE -all you have dropped- each ofyou- to make this a priority and keep us in touch with each other.
I am sure noone meant to be critical- it was just a normal, moving conversation about moving on with our thougths, by saying it always helps to have balance, which noone would disagree with, I am sure.

      • Chicago Diane says:

I think for a few minutes as we get into the conversaiotns we are blessed with being able to get back to the normal busines of thinking critically about the RH, and we know the only difference is each of you kind bloggers-of-new just don’t have the history Lynn did – or all the other sources. We can’t and don’t expect you to be Lynn- or to have all the sources . I am grateful you are sharing what you see/hear/find, and am sure we will hear the other side soon enough. Thanks very much to each one here in the Lynnfamily- everyone is doing their best, I am sure to keep it going and to get back to a new normal, which will evolve, without dear Lynn- hard as that is. Nooone is at fault.

    Tim Gunn: Official Page

“By the way, a Size 14 is just on the cusp of plus size. And a motivated designer can make a Size 28 look fabulous. Think of the opera divas!”

Above from Timm Gunn’s Facebook this a.m. – I love that man!

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

      Good for him!

    • BB says:

Tim Gunn always has a way of making everyone feel good about themselves. He even makes the eliminated designers feel good about themselves right after they get the boot from Heidi.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I love Tim Gunn. I don’t watch “Project Runway,” but I’d seen him on various interviews. I liked the way he came across. So, checked his book “Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making it Work” out of the library. It was really good. He also had a story in there about how rude and nasty LuAnn was over something she wanted to put in her book about him without his approval. I especially loved that part. The rest of the book is equally as good too!

        • BB says:

Sigh. Another title to put on my reading list. So many books, so little time.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I feel ya. My list is presently 179 books long. I don’t know when I’m going to be able to find the time to read 179 books. And, the thing is, I keep adding to it.

            • LaineyLainey says:

I have started to make lists of books I want to/should read and then the list looks so daunting and then when I get motivated to read, well, then I can’t locate one of the 4 or 5 reading glasses that I need when I need them and then when i do find them, they’re smudgy and I don’t feel like getting up to use the proper cleaning accoutrement and then the laptop is RIGHT THERE… so if you give a mouse a cookie…

              • MamaZ says:

I love to read and am always looking for suggestions so share the lists people!
I have just started The Technologists by Matthew Pearl. I loved The Dante Club by him.

Just read Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohajilian (sp?) Great book, but dark and a little depressing

                Ex-actly!! I hear you!

        • lovemamaearth says:

Ohhhhh my… “He also had a story in there about how rude and nasty LuAnn was over something she wanted to put in her book about him without his approval.”

          • ProstitutionTroll says:

I am going to have to go find that….I don’t care for LuAnn at all and this type of behavior doesn’t surprise me at all – she is such a classless so-and-so!

            • LaineyLainey says:

Dear Prostitution Troll, have I told you lately that I love your name? Well, I do.

              • ProstitutionTroll says:

awww…thank you 🙂 – I haven’t posted in a real long time…just lurked. But I have decided to comment more

                • LaineyLainey says:

Dear Prostitution Troll: You’re welcome. I not only like reading your name, I think you can probably tell that I also like typing it. When else will I have the chance to do that? Keep posting!!

        • Zoey says:

Oh, I like that juicy tidbit about Lumann! How come we never hear the opposite about her, ever? It’s all negative. She’s just a shallow, boot-wearing, egomaniac!

    • ProstitutionTroll says:

I just LOVE Tim Gunn – he is a kind, gentle soul! Thank you for sharing this!

    • PrincessPindy says:

I love Tim Gunn too. I think the funniest saying, to me, that he ever said was “The slobification of America.” It still cracks me up.

    • Powell says:

That’s why I love Tim Gunn.

  36. PrincessPindy says:

I love to read all the gossip! I am no longer on twitter, since it showed me how mean I can be, so I cancelled my acct. Breaking the hearts of all my 15 followers, lol.

BB~~ OMG, I wanted to kick Ven’s butt!! What a jerk!! Someone said they thought he might have Asperger’s, I don’t think he has Asperger’s, I think he is just an ASS. He thinks he is too good for this competition and that he is the best! He’s narcissistic. He was rude, and vile and downright mean. I wish the client had told them what he had done but I think she was mortified. What an ASS!!
Now the one that made me completely change my mind was Gunnar. Couldn’t stand him, but last night he was so wonderful and sweet. I just saw a whole other side to him and really, really liked him…
    all of this ~~imho

    • BB says:

I’ve changed my mind about Gunnar too. He was super nice to his client and she looked so happy coming down the runway in that flirty dress he made for her.

      • LaineyLainey says:

yay… I’ve always liked him. Something about him (aside from his talent) just got to me from day 1. Now I love the kid Rooting for him.

    • ProstitutionTroll says:

I agree – I really didn’t like Gunner, but he really changed my thinking last night. He was so sweet and really wanted her to feel and look beatiful – I think he did a great job!

    • LaineyLainey says:

As a not skinny person, I can say from personal experience, that sometimes you think you deserve the abuse (for not being thin) and you don’t speak up when you should. It’s not right, but it happens.

  37. BB says:

Thanks, everybody for your comments about Project Runway. I wasn’t sure how many people here watched it. Glad I decided to blog it. Of course, I can’t put the fashion sense spin on it like Michelle could. .

    • ProstitutionTroll says:

You are doing a great job, BB! I love that show – the creativity and artistic ability is amazing to me…I just wish I could sew a straight line 🙂

    • MamaZ says:

      Good afternoon everyone!

      Great PR blog BB.

I also don’t think Ven has Asperger’s. I think he’s just rude, insensitive and thoughtless. He didn’t want to design for his client and he didn’t care if she knew he wasn’t pleased. How about when he told her he couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked after her haircut? I thought she resembled Mare Winningham and he should have been able to make her look and feel fabulous. Designers like Ven are the reason some women hate to shop and feel bad about themselves. Boooooo Ven!

Her friend looked really familiar. Is she an actress or something?

Gunnar -I thought the same thing, we were seeing a whole different side of him! I loved when he told the hair stylist to treat his client like a queen. I wish PR would have him do something for Ven’s client now.

    • lovemamaearth says:

Where is MichelleNY? Good job BB.

hello my lovies!! thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes!! and thanks too for the great blogs! – BB – you are doing an amazing job and I for one, love reading any and all gossip out there regarding our housewives – I figure we all know that it is gossip and not proven fact, so we can all choose to take it with a grain aof salt or believe it entirely – it’s up to us to make of it what we will – for me it’s a great read and it puts a smile on my face, so keep it coming!!

if you have a minute, please say a prayer for those people that were involved in that shooting this morning – thank God for the NYPD and the bystander that helped identify the gunman – as soon as the report came across the live feed, I called my brother – he works in the city – to make sure he was ok – not the first time I have had to make that call either – he was, thankfully nowhere near the site at the time –

Ven was horrible – this is not the first time that the designers have had issues with “normal” people and their reactions are soo arrogant – as if they do not wish to be bothered dressing anyone who is not model built – no class at all – if I was that woman I would have walked – I giver her a lot of credit –

going out to dinner with my family tonight but I get to start my Birthday here with all of you and surround myself with the sounds of laughter, joking, babble and yes, gossip – can’t think of a better way to start my day on any day, but especially on my Birthday –

*hugs the entire board really hard*

Hi Cusi: So good to hear from you. Glad you made it safe and sound. I wanted to tell you a funny story. At work, we have an online schedule/calender where we all record any pre-planned absences, etc. It’s called “Cozi Calendar” The other day, mine wasn’t working properly and I kept saying “My Cusi is not working.” I kept getting blank looks or frowny confused faces, until someone said, “are you trying to say Cozi – why do you keep calling it CUSI, what does that even mean???” I thought that was so funny! Oh and by the way, my cozi calendar is working just fine now.

  45. I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Did you guys hear that there is talk of NBC having a reality show focused on Adrienne Maloof and her brothers?

I read about it on “All About TRH” and “Crazy Days and Nights.” The “Crazy Days and Nights” post about it made me laugh because it said the following:

“I wonder if the executives over at NBC smoke a lot of crack or just think they live in some insulated world where they think this is the glory days of MustSeeTV and that no matter what they put on the air after ‘Friends,’ they will get huge ratings….[NBC] has decided they want to give Adrienne Maloof her own reality show. Adrienne, who is quite possibly the most boring person on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is not the right person to give a network show to. Plus, it’s going to be a reality show. You know, following her around while she does nothing and is as vanilla as she has always been.”

    • klmh says:

No, I hadn’t heard about that. I have never cared for A. Maloof so I wouldn’t watch it. She to me, is tough to look at but it might be because of all the botox in her face. But more importantly, I hated the way she treated Lisa, who is my fav. (Showing my bias, bad me)
I just read your last paragraph and couldn’t agree more!

    • LaineyLainey says:

and her voice grates on my nerves.

    • BB says:

That’s funny. I’m wondering what the people at NBC and it’s subsidiaries (Bravo) are smoking too.

    • Powell says:

No I hadn’t heard. I just read your comments to my mom and she said she wonders if what’s going on w/her and Paul has something to do with her getting the show. Remember it’s been written that she said Paul’s after her money.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Adrienne cannot honestly believe Paul is/was after her money after all this time. She’s delusional.

With the nasty and dismissive way she treated him, she SHOULD pay him for having to endure being married to her.

  46. klmh says:

Does anyone here have an opinion about Lance Armstrong’s life ban and the probable loss of his 7 Tour de France wins? Is it right to you? Just wondered…

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I heard about it, but, in all honesty, I don’t quite know how to feel about it because the whole story is a bit confusing to me. Did he dope or not?

      • klmh says:

He has been thru so many trials about this and has been found innocent, but isn’t our court of law based on” innocent until proven guilty”? I don’t know if its true or not either, but apparently he’s getting a lot of support including Nike, who will be standing beside him.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Well, then, I think he should be allowed to keep all of his wins/titles. If he’s been through all of that and found innocent, what more do they want from the man?

    • Powell says:

I feel bad for him. I really don’t think he was doping. I think it’s a witch hunt. Before Lance Greg Lemand was the greatest. Then Lance. It was so great to watch him.

    • BB says:

I would like to think he won it all on his own talent, hard work and athleticism. I do feel for him that he’s had to fight this battle for so long. If the organization running this had indisputable evidence, then of course he should lose his titles. But the doping agency itself seems to have a questionable reputation. I guess it all comes down to who you believe – Lance or his former teammates who say he’s guilty. It’s all been a big murky mess and I think he’s just over it.

      • klmh says:

        His statement:
“I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999,” Armstrong said. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a two-year federal criminal investigation followed by Travis Tygart’s
unconstitutional witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today — finished with this nonsense.”

        • MamaZ says:

I don’t believe he was doping. He was tested on a regular basis. The trace amounts were attributed to the steroid creams they were all allowed to use for sores.

If he was tested, and he was hundreds of times, and they didn’t like the results why wasn’t he called on it then? If they had evidence he was doping and they did nothing about it the only reason could be that it was because he was good for the sport. Many people watched him race in person and on TV. He brought a lot of attention and advertising dollars to the sport of cycling. If they thought he was doping and let it slide then they are as culpable as him.

This is a deterrent to honest athletes who may reconsider putting in the effort it takes to compete when your titles can be stripped from on the basis of hearsay evidence. Why would you put yourself through the years of training, the grueling work outs and injuries if you can lose it all because other people claim you were doing what they got caught doing. I’m talking to you Floyd Landis!

          • Chicago Diane says:

Don’t you think anyone who was caught would say that at this point? If I had my life’s work and reputation on the line, I would continue to defend myself and lay out the issues/my view one more time- and push the accusers to the wall- why isn’t he? It may well be that he didn’t do it- but walking away from the fight just doesn’t look good, with so much at stake.

            • MamaZ says:

Have you read Lance’s letter explaining why he is stopping his fight? His reasons are very clear and in no way an admission of guilt. He is quitting because the process is one sided. Some highlights
1- There is zero physical evidence to support the USADA’s claims.
2- There are hundreds of tests that he passed and the USADA will not stand behind these.
3- The USADA has an 8 year limit but are lodging charges against him going back 17 years.
4- The USADA has no jurisdiction to even bring these charges and have been ordered to stop by the governing bodies who do. They have no power to strip him of his titles because the Tour is a professional, international sport.
5- The USADA has made deals with other cyclists who can continue to race as long as they testify against Armstrong.

It seems to me to be pretty much of a witch hunt, although I really don’t understand their motivation.

    • AZGirl says:

I glad you brought this up. I read an interview he did right before his divorce from his first wife. I spoke about how he and his family would be sitting down for breakfast and someone from the drug testing company would show up to test him. He said they would come sometimes 2 times a day. Never knowing when they would show up and it cause a great deal of stress on his marriage. They divorce shortly after that. He basically says in the interview if he did not love the sport no one would put up with all the hassels of testing.

      • Orson says:

It’s a witch hunt, nothing more. There is NO evidence. Just testimony that’s either sour grapes or suborned.

        • MamaZ says:

Orson – ITA, I don’t understand what the USADA’s motivation is though. Any theories?

          • Called A Princess... says:

Somebody somewhere wants to hurt Lance.

            From Wikipedia,

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is a non-profit, private organization not subject to governmental oversight…with no apparent authority or legitimacy. It has somehow unilaterally assumed the role of the national anti-doping organization (NADO) for the United States. The organization is charged with managing the anti-doping program for U.S. Olympic, Paralympic, Pan-American and ParaPan American sport. Its work includes in-competition and out-of-competition testing, the results management and adjudication process, the provision of drug reference resources, the therapeutic-use exemption process, various scientific research initiatives, and athlete and outreach education.

US District Court Judge Sam Sparks has stated that the USADA pursues investigations into sports figures “… acting according to less noble motives.” [5] One victim is Lance Armstrong, seven-time champion of the Tour de France. Although retired from the sport with a history of hundreds of passed drug tests, Armstrong is now subject to an investigation by the USADA lacking due process where the USADA refuses to disclose the names of Armstrong’s accusers and hides from accountability in federal court. [6] The USADA has insisted that Armstrong participate in an arbitration process created and run exclusively by the USADA. Armstrong has refused to participate in the USADA process stating “If I thought for one moment that by participating in USADA’s process, I could confront these allegations in a fair setting and — once and for all — put these charges to rest, I would jump at the chance,” Armstrong said. “But I refuse to participate in a process that is so one-sided and unfair.” [7] By contrast, United States Attorney AndrDe Birotte Jr. announced in a press release that his office “is closing an investigation into allegations of federal criminal conduct by members and associates of a professional bicycle racing team owned in part by Lance Armstrong.”

  47. Powell says:

    Hey Cali. Have missed you.

  48. Winston says:

I hadn’t heard that. Every time you turn around someone else is getting a reality show.
Did you watch HE this week? I just watched it last night and I have to vent for moment…..
I have come to the conclusion that Sheree is really an actress that just plays a preacher’s wife on TV. I could not believe she does not want to live full-time with her husband nor be a preachers wife. She wants her own identity. Wow! Talk about self-absorbed.
And when she went to Fred Segal and pulled out that ridiculous looking Whoop Ash. OMG, I was so embarrassed for her. Did she really think she could sell that in a high end dept store. WHAT.A.FOOL.

    • Winston says:

I don’t know what happened but my comment was in response to Detox’s about Adrienne and fam getting reality show upthread.

    • Powell says:

Well Winston I’ve seen several celebs on Twitter saying how good the product is. I’m gonna check it out on the website(I guess there’s one).

      • Winston says:

Well that’s the sad part of it, it could be the best product out there but the name and label on it make it a joke.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I watched. I really hope somebody blogs it if it gets a 2nd season.

I didn’t quite know how to feel about Sheree’s confession/speech about not wanting to lose her identity either. She says she does not want to go back to being “the wife of,” but I think she was only married to Will Smith for 2 or 3 years, right? And wasn’t that like 55 years ago? And wasn’t she married to him when he was not really all that big of a star yet? (I mean he definitely was NOT A-List when she was married to him, more like C or D).

So, where does all of this angst about having no identity because she was the “wife of a star” come in?

I personally think she likes being able to say she’s married; she likes having a man; but she does not really want a full-time marriage. She wants a commuter marriage, which works for MANY people. For instance, because I have been single for so long, I would LOVE a commuter marriage or one of those marriages where the guy works offshore 2-4 weeks on and 2-4 weeks off. That way, I can have my usual “just me/single” time and also have the “married with my hubby” time.

The problem is that I think this is what Sheree really wants, but it is NOT what her husband wants. I don’t think she is being honest with herself or with him about it, though.

With regard to her pulling that damned “Whoop-Ash” container out and trying to get that sold at Fred Segal……GUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRLLLLLL…..I laughed out loud and thought, “Girl, you did NOT just try to ask that man to sell that product with that ghetto-ass name in high-end Fred Segal??!!?? WTF are you thinking?” And I say this as an African-American woman. Shereee should have known better than that. Who the hell is her business advisor? He/She should be fired if she discussed that with him/her beforehand, and he allowed herself to walk into that meeting and make a fool of herself with that mess (on camera, no less).

      • Winston says:

LMAO! Detox you crack me up!
I was envisioning what the real conversation between the Fred Segal executives was after she left and the camera’s were off. The label for her product was something you might put on a comic book lotion for kids but not grown women!

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I mean, REALLY??!!?? Whoop-Ash? Can you see high society ladies discussing how much they love what Whoop-Ash does for their skin while they are sipping their tea and eating their cucumber sandwiches? Sheree has been around money long enough to know better than that mess!!

For instance, in the hood in New Orleans, sweet drinks frozen in a cup are known as “huck-a-bucks” or “cold cups.” If I wanted to sell that to Fred Segal’s restaurant section (if they had one), I would market it as “Ice Cold Refreshers” — not frozen Kool-Aid!!

JEEZ, Sheree!!! Get it together, Girl! Call Will & Jada for some tips.

          • Powell says:

Detox you are a mess. LOL 😀 You are right about going into FS with that name. She knows what her product does, she needs the name and packaging to go w/it at FS, Saks, Barney’s and other high end stores. I don’t know how much it currently sells for but it’s gotta have $100 name and packaging for high-end.

      • Winston says:

I noticed when they were putting the gift bags together for Nicole’s party that they were putting Whoop Ash in there.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Oh, I missed that. I’m glad they did. I like the way the women are so supportive of each other.

Did you hear that Nicole’s fiance’, Michael Strahan, is now going to be Kelly Ripa’s permanent co-host?

          • Powell says:

Well Live isn’t saying yet. I tweeted Michael, Kelly & Nicole saying Congrats. Nicole usually tweets me back but didn’t this time. I think they are waiting for Live to make it official.

          • Winston says:

I did not hear that. I am not real familiar with who he is but I love Nicole so I am so happy for them both. I wonder how that will work with her in LA and him in NY but like you said above, lots of people have bi-coastal or weekend relationships, as long as both parties are consenting that is for them to decide.
I stopped watching Regis and Kelly years ago, I just didn’t have time but will have to catch it on DVR just to check out who he is.

            • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

He was a professional football player for a few years (I’m clueless about sports, so….), and I think he is now a sports commentator on some show. I haven’t watched Kelly’s show in quite a while. I’d been reading in the papers that she and Michael Strahan have very good chemistry together, though.

              • MamaZ says:

I’m a sucker for a gap tooth smile!

                • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

LOL. And he definitely has that. David Letterman has one too. Now, I’m going to try to think of all of the other celebrities with gaps.

                  • MamaZ says:

                    Lauren Hutton!

                  • BeckyGrey says:

I really find Sheree offensive. She is a fake in the worst kind of way. The commuter marriage does work for some people, but not for Terrell and Sheree. he wants his wife with him, in San Diego. She doesn’t even want him in LA too long.
Identity? You married the Pastor to be One, remember those darn vows. You want to be married but in name only…She has her own identity…The Hollier than Thou, secret spilling, off camera hard liquor drinking, boring, Who’s cooking these Greens, whoop ash making, delusional , jealous of Nicole and Jessica, riding on your exe husbands dime, no real talent , evil one from the Hollywood Exes. Isn’t that enough of an identity?

  49. 123 says:

So-leave one post here and then good to go?

  50. Contessa says:

I was just reading NY housewives blogs and have to comment here…I think Sonja and Ramona are a bit ridiculous with their over the top behavior. I know we women can get together and laugh till it hurts, but getting turned on by someones backside while they are on a doctor’s table – WEIRD. Also their little games at the cocktail party were so childish…Sonja was supposed to be this big time society wife, I don’t think she was “acting” like that. It doesn’t matter which part of society, as I don’t believe in levels (it’s all semantics) bad manners are simply nasty. Ramona is getting on my last nerve with this screaming and running away. It’s done you didn’t go to London, forget it. Heather doesn’t like you and you don’t like her – fact of life. Looking back I would not have invited Ramona either, if it included business. She can be scary, also if someone told me I talked too much, when they first met me as a guest, I would have been pissed off.

Next up is Aviva, I understand people having issues, but her issues are a bit out of control. She is an educated woman – see a therapist and get some help. She is going to pass on these fears to her children big time if she doesn’t watch herself. I hate heights, and I hate flying in small airplanes, but it hasn’t stopped me from going to the top of the John Hancock building, nor has it stopped me from getting on a 4 seater plane (didn’t work out well we had to turn back as I almost turned to stone-but it is nothing I have to deal with in real life on an everyday basis). I think Aviva is two faced as well, and I think she is out for Sonja because of Harry. It seems her invite to her event was not very clear as Luann thought she was simply exercising. Aviva also does not understand peoples attachment to their animals. I’ve been to the emergency vet in the middle of the night with a diabetic cat, crying my eyes out and praying this was not the last trip. When someone has a sick pet, you do not send another person in your place to the vet…end of discussion. However Sonja droned on and on, which made it a bit worse. I would have simply said this was an emergency, he is like my child, and I do not let other people take him to the vet when he is that ill. I guess I am not liking Aviva very much, because it seems to me she whines every so often. I can handle Heather much better, Sonja and Ramona are getting clownish and Carole I simply love, Luann – seems a bit better this season, except for the pregnancy made up story.

    • PrincessPindy says:

Luann thought she was simply exercising.
LOL, so she says!! Like she would give up $$ for anything!!

      • Powell says:

Mmm mmm. That Countess title has totally gone to her head not thinking she has to pay for things from a cup of coffee to a dress.

    • BB says:

I agree with you pretty much, Contessa. Sonja and Ramona (who I have always loved) are getting on my last nerve. Aviva strikes me as “odd.” I like Heather and Carole and I can even tolerate Luann better now that the rest of her “posse” is gone.

    • Powell says:

Contessa I’ve wondered if Sonja acted the same as a “Morgan”.
I am so tired of hearing about London. Yes Heather should not have excluded anyone. I wouldn’t have. The trip is over, let’s move on and not talk about it again. Heather and Ramona have already figured out they don’t like each other. Now you just be cordial and respectful. That’s how adults act.

    • LaineyLainey says:

Great post Contessa. I’m only going to take issue with one thing. The “levels” of high society are not just a matter of semantics in my opinion. It is an active form of elitism and for lack of a better illustration; you’re either in or you’re out. It can open doors if you’re in. It can close doors if you’re out. The opportunities afforded those who are in are very real and not just a matter of how one utilizes certain words. With that said, I believe that regardless of your class and in the U.S. that means old money or just “money” you can still work EXTRA hard and make something of yourself. It just feels like we have to work a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT HARDER than the haves. But that’s ok, maybe I’m taking it too personally because my super educated and well-mannered husband is unemployed right now. Perhaps your point was more about MANNERS. I agree 100% with you on that. Bad manners are bad manners regardless if it’s the girl behind the counter at the Wal-mart or if it’s the former lady of the manor, “Mistress Morgan.”

I agree, Aviva is not altogether well. Hopefully, she is seeing a therapist. I hope this show hasn’t set her back.

      • Powell says:

Oh Lainey I totally get you. I am highly educated, fairly smart, intuiative and well mannered and was laid off in 2009 and unemployed for a year. So I took it personally too. Tell your husband to hang in there. 🙂

        • LaineyLainey says:

Thanks Powell. You understood my “moment” – – -I started to realize I was projecting a bit, that’s why I mentioned it. I’m glad things eventually turned around for you. You are very strong. He’s trying and working so hard…something’s gotta happen. Thanks again.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I was laid off from a full-time position with benefits at the end of 2010 (after having given blood, sweat and tears to my firm for over 7 years. State client business drastically decreased, a founding partner [whose section I was under] of the firm was diagnosed with and died of cancer within 6 months, and 3 people had to go. Unfortunately, I was one of them). I’ve been picking up contract jobs here and there ever since (all the while looking for something full-time with benefits).

So, I feel you and your husband’s pain, believe me (I’m also considering a COMPLETE career change/reinvention, which is kinda like starting all over again at 41 years of age. Not easy.).

Please tell your husband he is NOT alone.

            • LaineyLainey says:

Thanks Detox – I appreciate your understanding and encouragement. I admire your own tenacity. My husband has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. – he has a strong background in strategic sales and marketing. unfortunately he’s finding that programmers are in super high demand right now… we’re like… oh well…. (yeah, I said “like” haha). Keep praying, Keep believing… what else is there, RIGHT???? thanks again.

            • BeckyGrey says:

Detox, and Lainey (and all that apply), I wish you the best in these uncertain times. Keep your head up!

    • Powell says:

I feel Aviva needs a therapist also. I understand her trauma and she probably used to go to therapy but she needs to go back.

    • klmh says:

Agree with you, but for some reason, I always thought of Sonja as swinging both ways. I have no reason or basis for this brainstorm or brainfart, though.
I still like Aviva. She is a hot mess with her phobias, and as others have said here and we witnessed on the last show, she is projecting these fears to her kids. What 2 or 3 year old is worried about his penis when we rides a carousel horse?
I also don’t think she knows how to deal with the chaos around her and sees it as bad manners from these ladies, which I admit I agree with most of the time, but these ladies don’t want an etiquette class on manners from her. They want TV time.

      • LaineyLainey says:

ooooh, good points again KLMH. I even liked your brainfart.

        • klmh says:

Im having a lot of them lately. Tx, I love your points above too. I read them after I wrote mine, and thought, well crap, I didn’t need to write mine, she already said it better than I could have done. 🙂

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I think Sonja swings both ways as well.

        • klmh says:

          Then Im in good company.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Yes. She strikes me as the type who is looking for love, and she will take it wherever (and from whomever) she can find it, no matter the gender.

        • Contessa says:

Lainey, you are right about the class thing, it was that I refuse to see class at the point in my life, but I’ve worked for wealthy people that are in “society” and you are absolutely right …it is much easier as each layer is very cliquish. I have seen people, that had few credentials get the top jobs etc….I should have worded it differently. I just wanted to point out I am past getting impressed with that kind of thing and really don’t give a rat’s a$$. I am so tired of Sonja crying poor…poor is when you are not working and are losing your home, jobs are few and far between and going to the youngsters or someone who know’s someone, worrying about putting gas in your car to get to interviews, worrying about paying the utility bills and putting food on the table.

I am so sorry about what you are going through, been there last year, and I was absolutely terrified. Sending hugs and positive energy your way!

          • LaineyLainey says:

I love it that you don’t give a Rats A$$, Contessa. That’s the way it should be. Good point about Sonja crying “poor me” – girlfriend doesn’t know poor. Sounds like you came out of the unemployment thing, I’m glad that worked out for you. This is the third time in his career… so I’m not exactly terrified, but we’re older and maybe I have a tendency to get kind of “sour grape-y” but I try to be self-aware and when I catch it (my sour grape-y self), I try to acknowledge it and tell myself… “everything’s ok right now, chill, be thankful.”

  51. BB says:

Guys, Cycle 19 of America’s Next Top Model College Edition starts tonight with a new cast, including judge Kelly Kutrone (remember her from “The Hills” and “Kell on Earth?” Is anyone going to be watching?

    • LaineyLainey says:

I’d like to, but I’ll be out with my sister (yippee!!! yay!!!). But thanks for the heads up; gonna record it for my daughter.

    • Powell says:

Yeah I saw them on GMA this AM. A male model is also a judge. Kelly cleaned up for GMA. She always looked like she just roled out of bed.

    • PrincessPindy says:

I’m not home on Friday night and it doesn’t repeat until Monday at 9 which is when the RHNY is on. I might DVR it. But I thought there was another network that showed it at a different time but can’t find it…

      • MamaZ says:

I might watch. I used to really like ANTM but Tyra has become so annoying with her bad accents and stupid skits based on her ridiculous sounding book! Plus I don’t like how she got rid of Nigel, and the Jays.

        • MelTheHound says:

Tyra jumped the shark seasons ago. I use to watch for the photoshoots but even they suck anymore.

          • MamaZ says:

Exactly MTH. I love fashion mags so I used to really enjoy watching a little bit of the process. But it has gotten so gimmicky. Is that a word?

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I don’t watch ANTM, but I used to watch her talk show.

I do not like Tyra. I find her supremely self-absorbed and irritating.

I cannot believe what I have missed in the past few weeks. My heart goes out to Lynn’s family at this time. There is a wonderful spirit to this group of people that Lynn brought together. Only Lynn could have created an atmosphere of love out of a foundation based on a mutual dislike of a superficial reality character. Lynn was a testament to what voice can mean to many. Her spirit lives on in all those of us she touched.

  53. AZGirl says:

OT. Just got back from Macy’s. They have the jeans I like on sale. Of course none are available in my size :(. I thought I would pick up some short sleeve summer tops on sale. Nope. They have all the winter stuff out! ummmmm it is ARIZONA GANG and it is100 degrees outside and it is not cooling down til the end of October. I did find 2 tank tops for 4.95 each. For heaven sakes.

    • MamaZ says:

Look online AZGirl. They may have the same jeans in the size you want.

    • klmh says:

AZ Girl, Im not sure of your age, but the last time I looked Chico’s was having like a 70% sale on many of their clothes. In my experience, they are well made and easy to order and wear, most of the time. Shipping costs are inexpensive, and sending stuff back is free, at least it was in my case. They will send you a self-addressed sticker and you just take it to the post office and they ship it.

    • MelTheHound says:

Not quite ready for a parka yet, AZGirl?

    • Zoey says:

Gurl, I know exactly what you mean! We often wear shorts at Christmas time here in the south, and yes we get a touch of winter, but you’d swear that if the sweaters and coats don’t get put out in August someone might freeze to death! I hate it. Can’t find shorts anywhere until next spring. I do not get it. Maybe I should open a store with summer clothes year round!

    • Powell says:

AZGirl i am not ready for Fall clothes in the stores cause that means it’s gonna be cold soon enough. I know you can’t wait for it to cool down though. I have to admit I have already bought a few clothes and a pair of boots at Nordstrom during the anniversary sale though. But I’m a clothes horse. I do want to get some summer sales for clothes to wear next spring/summer.

Okay folks. Just wanted to give you all a copy of my little blog post on Facebook today. Also Baabee loves Kitties sends her love and wants everyone to know that her arthritis is flaring up and she is not writing that much here because of it. When seasons change is always bad for mine so I understand. She loves you all and wants you to know she’s reading and enjoying and agrees with my little blurb. I love youse guys alot! If tiny boxes appear next to names, they represent stars that didn’t transfer from FB, except in the case of Mardrag, who got hearts.

Our Blog writers at have been doing an extraordinary job this past week of keeping us all informed and connected. ✰No More Drama has been the great organizer as well as a writer. ✰BB has taken over the main bulk of recaps including the crown jewels, the RHW’s episodes. That is fitting as BB was Lynn’s right hand, assisting with many of the shows we all love to read about with each morning as part of our daily routine. Now we have more writers, all of them great commenters who have made the blog their home and entertained us with thoughtful insights and sharp wit. ✰Ramonacoaster blew me away with her re-cap of cast blogs and witty snark! ✰Detox is covering Chicago Mob Wives superbly, IMO. ✰Michagan Sue is covering my beloved Dance Moms. ✰And many others are contributing, all known and loved from the Blog who can write and snark with the best of us! I’m posting a list below.
I also want to mention ♥ Mardrag ♥ who has organized a Lynn’s Place Inspirational Page and is writing beautiful thoughts to share, a place where comfort can be found. Lynn would be so proud! Also LynnNChicago Hope, Prayer and Advice Page is still a part of the Blog and holds some of Lynn’s thoughts and inspirations. Lynn added this page as she observed the tight bonds her readers shared and realized that the Blog was growing beyond HW observations. The new page was her pleasure and she was clearly pleased with the direction the Blog was taking.

Our writers intent may have been to ‘fill’ in for Lynn but anyone can see that there is quality writing going on. Perhaps this has been inspired by a love for a great woman with opinions and a humorous way with words or, perhaps these people, these friends, have been inspired by Lynn’s own spirit of sharing and desire to communicate and listen to others ideas and opinions as well. I think it is all of the above and it shows. I think that this Blog can continue to be a force in Reality, an authority on the subject of all things HW’s, a must read, go to source for the last word on the subject.

So, if any of you haven’t been to Lynn’s Place yet please have a look and don’t forget to drop a comment or just and say Hi. Speak your mind and connect with other people. ♥ Lynn’s Place ♥

With facebook, the blog, twitter, and our real names, I am getting confused myself. Zoey was my first dog so I use her name a lot.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Wonderful, Disgrazia! Thanks for bringing this over.

    • Hi I know I’ve been MIA, but I just heard the devastating news and found you all. I would love to continue blogging fashion recaps if that’s ok with you all. Do I send it to nomoredrama?

    • klmh says:

      Ex-cell-ent Digrazia4!

      • MamaZ says:

        Kadooz to everyone involved!

      • Powell says:

        Disgrazia you’re a star. 😀

      • Lisa Renee says:

Standing ovation Disgrazia 🙂 a beautiful articulate accurate & loving tribute to everyone running this blog. You were my voice as mine has been at a loss trying to give thanks & gratitude. Enjoying all the types of posts & POV’s. Remember when Lynn added tweets & those not on twitter were enjoying them. Same for me with FB, anytime someone posts something from FB, I appreciate it since I am not a FB’er. I will read anything about any topic from anyone. The comfort of being able to see all your names & celebrating Lynn is wonderful. Special S/O to QBB picking up the tab for the Chat room. You rock! I can’t thank you all enough for your efforts. Keeping good thoughts for all, Lisa

        • disgrazia4 says:

Thanks Lisa. As far as I’m concerned we are affilliated and sharing. In fact, my main concern is that everyone knows where everyone is.

    • BB says:

      That’s great disgrazia!

      • Orson says:

Well done, disgrazia. Hey, isn’t that the name of one of Teresa’s children? And who else would name their little girl “Melanoma”?

        • disgrazia4 says:

(((BB))) Hey Orson, Lemme tella you something about my Lynn fambily, we wipe the floor with disgrazia HW’s!!! LOLOL. Now you made this voice get into my head.

          • LaineyLainey says:

How can it be that I’m JUST NOW seeing/watching this? It’s great!!! Talented young lady. I love how “melissa” copied “Teresa’s” purple hair extension.

    • Lady Chatterley says:

Awesome, Disgrazia and thanks so much for all that you’re doing to keep this community together! I can see how much traffic is coming to the blog from Facebook – your efforts are paying off. 🙂

      • disgrazia4 says:

Thank you Lady C. That is what I wanted to know. The sales woman in me doesn’t want to see anyone drift away, certainly not because they got lost in the shuffle. I already lost a woman who wanted to join the group. Joanne OLeary asked for membership and I clicked her in, FB went glitchy and threw her away into cyberspace and I cannot find her. If you ever read this Joanne PLEASE come back!! It wasn’t snubbery, it was Facebook tech problems. That was early on when we were getting members by the droves. Hopefully she’ll try again or find her way here. Here is the link to the FB group, Friends of LynnNChicago:

    • KTinCT says:

Beautiful post, Disgrazia4!! Thank you to all who are contributing to this site, fb and the chat room! All are beacons in a great storm for us all to gather together 🙂

      • Zoey says:

I misread, I thought you said we were all bacon, lol! I think I have bacon on the mind. I just found out there is a new food truck in town that delivers breakfast! It’s called Wakin Bacon. This might be very dangerous to my health/diet.

  55. Cityside says:

Have any of you seen this? I am not on twitter so I happened across it one day surfing….

    • klmh says:

      That broke my heart.

    • Winston says:

Thanks for sharing City. I had never seen that but it is not surprising at all. IMO, all insurance companies operate with a seriously broken moral compass. You hear so many stories of gravely ill people being denied treatments by insurance.

    • klmh says:

You know what I did? I sent this to all my email connections.

      • MamaZ says:

          • MamaZ says:

Not you sending it to your email contacts! I mean Progressive was disgusting. Sorry about that.

            • Cityside says:

Crazy, right? Progressive’s statement says they were not his lawyer, yet they sure did everything they could so that he got off, making them not liable. So wrong.

            • klmh says:

I thought that’ what you meant, but I was hoping you or your husband didn’t sell Progressive insurance!

              • MamaZ says:

LOL, I have an uncle who sells insurance. I tell him all the time that’s it’s legal organized crime!
But I’m not judging anyone who does that for a living. We are all just doing what we can to keep a roof over our heads and put food on the table. It’s the CEO’s that have a lot to answer for.

                • xy&z says:

Boy do I agree MamaZ!  Haven’t read up thread but… If insurance isn’t as close to a legal shake down – I don’t know what is! (Btw- not to offend… rarely do people get their “choice” where their pay check comes from.)

                • Lisa Renee says:

Mamaz, insurance is straight up robbery with out a gun. Worse than owing a loan shark & can’t make the vig. Break my knee caps instead of denying coverage, raising rates or cancel my policy lol. My 2 cents……I like to get licked before I get futzed. Remember, the agent doesn’t make the rules, they are also at the mercy of the entity they work for, Lisa

    • LaineyLainey says:

Thanks for sharing Cityside. It’s unconscionable. This is a perfect example of lacking moral fiber. Tweet about this, Aviva.

  56. Formerly Addicted to Bravo says:

I just want to thank you all for keeping the family together. It is so heartwarming to “see” everyone and I am grateful to all who are writing all the terrific posts and kudos to you all. I have been on vacation this week and could read the blog but couldn’t see the chat – any ideas about why that might be happening? I have a droid and because I am at my job late most evenings I use the droid to read everything. Thanks and hugs to all!

    • Lady Chatterley says:

Welcome, FAB! Not sure why the comments aren’t transferring to the Droid – glad you’re on the board now. 🙂

  57. Zoey says:

OT sorta kinda. Not to be a Debbie Downer (no offense to all Debbie’s), but I saw something on a news clip that surprised me and really made me stop and think. I tend to get ‘stuck’ on some difficult things in life, and have a hard time moving on. Tell me I’m not the only one? 🙂

Having coping skills before a tragedy occurs is probably a big help to moving past whatever ‘it’ is, or dealing with them as they come along, which I tend to not do.
Remember the Dr whose family was murdered by those two kooks in 2007, they beat and raped his daughters and I think his wife, then set the house on fire. He was beaten but escaped. He lost his whole family. Well he just got remarried! That wowed me.

Yes, it’s 5 yrs ago, but it just amazed me that he had the coping skills and strength to move on! I often get stuck in lesser things-of course it’s all relative-for what seems like forever. I was just amazed and happy for him. Made me want to try harder and say phooey to crap that plays like a broken record in your head! Ok, my head…

I hope Lynn’s family is able to express themselves during this time, and have support around them to deal healthily (zat a word?) with their loss. Maybe even counseling for her son. To bottle it up is not good, and to move on is so important. If effects the rest of your life.

Thanks for listening to my woes guys!

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

No, Zoey, you are not the only one. (((Zoey)))

Good for you for wanting to try harder! I’ll be rooting for you.

    • Powell says:

Zoey I didn’t know he got married. I’m so happy for him. It’s good he’s building a new life. I hope they have kids. I remember he was interviewed by someone, Diane Sawyer maybe, but he talked about being at his parents and he just wanted to die. He’s got great coping skills alright to pull himself up and find love again.

    • Winston says:

I read about that and was so happy to hear that and thought…God Bless the woman who married him and gave him a chance at being happy again.
I saw a picture of Lynn, her son and husband floating around (at least I think it is her son and hubby) and he is an adorable kid. I imagine he will grow up to be quite the handsome young man. Her family seems amazing and I am sure will make sure he gets all that he needs.

      • MamaZ says:

Zooey – You are definately not the only one! I would have curled up into a ball and died.
But I am very happy that he was stronger than I am. He deserves a second chance.

        • Zoey says:

If I lost my child I think that’s what I would do, but people like this go on somehow. It’s amazing, and inspirational.

    • KTinCT says:

Zoey, that tragedy occurred in the next town over from me, literally a 10 minute drive. Yes, Dr. Petit got remarried a few weeks ago (she is a photographer that worked with the foundation he set up for his wife and daughters memory). I am so happy that he is able to move on and maybe have another child (his new wife is only 33).
I’m also glad that CT was able to find jury members that got the job done right and that Komisarjefsky and Hayes are on death row. What they did to this family is too painful for words…..

      • Zoey says:

Wow, that’s really close. How scary to know that those guys were out there so near you. Yes, I’m glad they will never get out of jail, at the very least. I hope he and his new wife are very happy.

        • KTinCT says:

Very close to home, Zoey. My mother works in the Meriden Police Department and the details that weren’t made public about this case are horrific. I, too, am glad that those two will never get out of jail (I really don’t wish death for them or anyone) …..
But I am happy that Dr. Petit can get another chance, he is a wonderful person (I’ve met him) and a possible chance at having another child….If anyone deserves it….

          • Zoey says:

What in the world possesses people?? Good and evil I guess. Bad seeds, I don’t know. Must be hard for your mom to know more than the average person in cases like this. It’s good that we don’t know. Have to focus on the happy ending! Still can’t fathom how he pulled himself together and moved on.

          • Zoey says:

Forgot to say that your gravatar pic is precious!!!

            • KTinCT says:

It is definitely hard for my mom to come home after the horrific events she observes ( she works in the records division) but I will say that it is hard for all the police officers ( whenever a violent action occurs with a young child or an infant or anyone, for that matter, the entire department is affected, there is no happy ending…. Just hopefully, some justice for the victoms’ family.
And thank you, my gravitar is my 3 year old daughter, Maggie! She starts preschool next week, she is my world 🙂

    • LaineyLainey says:

Did you read the comments? This one was irreverent, but highly creative.

“It’s inevitable. Eventually Michael Jackson put Bubbles in a cage and replaced him with cuter, younger chimps.”

  58. FlowerPower says:

COCFarm, I missed your comments this morning! Just getting back online tonight.
The part of the Burn Notice finale I loved most was Sharon Gless!!! I’ll probably keep watching just for her. (My daughter gave up on the show last season…I’m kinda leaning that way, but I’ve been known to stick with a show to the bitter end…well, except for the Housewives. LOL.) Otherwise, the show is getting tiresome…the whole Anson thing has dragged on too long. I enjoyed it more when it was the group helping the client of the week. (And I still love the captions they put on the characters!) I have a soft spot for the star…he hails my from my neck of the woods (went to school with a friend’s sibling).

Suits was wonderful!!! I can’t wait for more. Did you read that the Skype scene Louis did with his parents was done with the actor’s actual parents? They had visited the set and made quite and impression, so the producers asked if they’d do the cameo. The Donna/Harvey relationship is one of my favs on tv right now. Didn’t love the gf coming back…of course there’d be a knock at the door. Sigh. Still, I’m quite happy to overlook the occasional misstep on this show since the rest of it has been so good.

    • COCFarm says:

Hey Flower! Glad you went back up stream to see the convo. Hope it’s okay we discuss USA network here. i like many of the shows but Suits is the best. And NO!!!! I did not know that was the actor Louis’ real parents! I loved it when they said “Oh, is that Harvey? I want to meet him, it’s about time we meet your best friend.” That cracked me up and explains his character. He wants to be on the inside track. I love Donna/Harvey Harvey/Mike Louis/Donna there are so many interesting combos. love that Donna could ‘come back’ from the shamming both literally and figuratively. I can’t believe they skip over the part of telling her she has been exonerated of the missing memo incident. I’d like to see that.

I agree with all you said about Burn. Sharon Rocks and I love Sam and the actor that plays him. I like the actor playing Michael too. Remember when the dad on Fraiser, John Mahoney played “Management” that burned Michael? Around that time, Jeff Donovan was in a play across the street from Steppenwolf in Chicago where John Mahoney was in a play. I heard it was there that they met and then John ended up as Management in the scene where Michael jumps out of the helicopter. I remember coming out of the theater and seeing the names on the marquee and wondering if they had met. Cool that you have a connection to him. Mine is that our plumber looks just like him! Yah, doesn’t really work, but he does look like Jefferey Donovan!

Man. I’m chatty tonight. My husband and I went to the Cubs game had two beers and now I am coming down off the buzz of two beers! I’m so pathetic. I need to go put the chickens to bed and crawl in one myself! But the pups are wound up from being crated. Such is life on the postage stamp farm!

      • Powell says:

COCFarm you’re to funny. I can see the dogs just wanting to play with you and you’re coming down of your beer buzz. “Sorry mom we just wanna play.”

    • Powell says:

Missed you FlowetPower. I hope you’ve been well.

    • Powell says:

I love Burn Notice but hadnt watched and did some catching up. Is Nate really dead?

      • COCFarm says:

Yah. Sad…but really well acted. Almost a little too real for me. Nate caught ‘Anson’ who was the one M had been chasing who had burned him. But again, not really. More layers. Then a sniper killed Anson and Nate in front of Michael.

        • MamaZ says:

Flower! It is so nice to see you here. How is your precious granddaughter?

        • FlowerPower says:

That scene was BRUTAL! And when Michael told his mom–I read that the slap wasn’t scripted, that was all her and they went with it. Love her!

Hi, MamaZ, thanks for asking about the little one. She’s doing okay. She had her fourth surgery in May and recovered well, but is having pain issues still. We go back in September to see all the doctors. Fingers crossed!

      • Burn Notice is one of my DH’s favorite shows. It’s back in Nov which is good, I hate long hiatuses.
