What New Jersey Housewives Should have Learned

by NoMoreDrama

The housewives franchises aren’t in their infancy any more.  NY is in their 5th season, NJ their fourth, and OC is in their whopping 7th season.  You would think the housewives knew how to play the game by now – but they make the same mistakes.  Again and again.

10.  Don’t ask viewers to pick sides; they may not pick your side

Jill Zarin played this game and lost – remember Team Jill versus Team Ramona?  Team Jill versus Team Bethenny?  You would think that Caroline Manzo would have figured out that no one wins when lines are drawn in the sand.  Perhaps her early success alienating Danielle Staub led her to think she could turn viewers against Teresa.  It’s one thing to get the other cast members to pick sides – and a very different thing to get viewers on your side.

9.  Don’t hold cast mates to higher standards than you hold yourself

Countess LuAnn is a prime example of this – always lecturing her cast mates on how they should behave while oblivious to her own behavior.  Caroline Manzo has fallen into the same trap.  What is it about wanting to give advice no one has asked for?  Caroline has plenty to say about Jacqueline’s daughter Ashlee – but thinks her three children walk on water.  She throws Teresa’s family problems in her face – but has huge issues getting along with her own siblings.  Viewers aren’t stupid, and they know Caroline is being a hypocrite.

8a.  Don’t spill cast mates secrets’

No one likes a snitch.  LuAnn is considered one of the biggest snakes in housewife history because of the way she is continually throwing her cast mates under the bus.  Take St. Barths for example.  When Ramona and Sonja were trying to dodge Aviva’s questions about whether Reid was welcome or not – LuAnn made things worse by telling Aviva what had been said the night before.   Caroline Manzo is falling into the same trap with Teresa – telling Melissa and Kathy all the nasty things Teresa has said about them over the years.  Snitches never come across well, and Caroline should have know that she wouldn’t win viewer support by outing Teresa’s venting.

8b.  Don’t spread stories in the press about your cast mates

One of the many reasons viewers turned on Jill Zarin was that she’d run to the Huff Post or Page Six to annihilate her cast mates.  Bravo even made it part of the story line in Season Two.  Adrienne Maloof accused Lisa Vanderpump of the same thing – only without proof her accusations fell flat and Lisa turned it around by accusing Adrienne of doing the same thing – through the help of her chef – Bernie.  Brandi took this to a new level by outing Adrienne every time she tried it during the filming of BH this year.  Teresa did the same thing to her cast mates – and they were furious.  For Teresa it was all about money – or that’s how Joe Giudice made it sound when he told Chris Laurita that Jacqueline should have taken the $50,000 offered to her to tell Teresa’s secrets.  But it’s not cool.

7.  If you make a mistake – own it

Ramona Singer sets the example for this one.  Sometimes it seems like Ramona busts into a room and offends everyone.  But just as you start to get frustrated with her – she recognizes what she’s doing and makes it better.  Brandi Glamville is another one who can make it work by owning her mistakes.  There is very little “owning it” with the New Jersey crew.  They are all finger pointers and seemingly oblivious to their own shortcomings.  Teresa is probably the biggest example of this, and surrounds herself with people that tell her what she wants to hear.

6.  Don’t let your jealousy show

Many of the franchises have a break out star.  Bethenny Frankel, Lisa Vanderpump, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak, Teresa Guidice.  Some people have the “it” factor – and others don’t.  You can’t force it, and if you try to hard you come off looking like a fool.  NeNe and Kim have found a way to co-exist on Atlanta – with both bringing home huge paychecks.  Adrienne Maloof tried to bring Lisa Vanderpump down, and only ended up bringing herself down.  Melissa Gorga is rumored to have joined New Jersey because she wanted to be a bigger star than her sister-in-law Teresa.  She needs to stop worrying about Teresa and concentrate on herself.  The scenes where all she talks about is Teresa are getting old.

5.  Don’t ask people to read between the lines or tell them they’d understand if they knew all the details

Be honest with viewers.  Don’t make up lies about why you’re mad.  Jill Zarin was seething that Bethenny got a spin off and left her behind – but she blamed Bethenny for not being a good enough friend when Bobby went through his cancer surgery.  It didn’t add up for viewers.  Aviva’s reaction to Ramonja in St. Barths was over the top.  Jacqueline feeling like Teresa should confide in her more didn’t explain the end of their friendship.  The comments in Teresa’s cookbook couldn’t have been the cause of Caroline’s anger.  Jacqueline writes long rambling blogs that say nothing.  Caroline tells us to read between the lines – but no cares enough to do that.  Just tell us why you’re so mad – and maybe we’ll understand. If we don’t get it the first time, don’t try to explain it again.  Chances are we don’t care.

4.  Viewers have short memories.  Don’t expect them to hold your grudge

Grudges are never good in the housewife world.  Viewers like it when people make up and alliances shift.  In New York it was clear that things had to be shaken up because the alliances weren’t shifting – which led to a massive cast replacement.  NeNe and Kim have figured it out in Atlanta – and give viewer a little hope that they might be friends again – at some point in time.  Caroline is probably the best at holding a grudge of any of the housewives – and it seems like when she says she’s done – she’s done.  That leaves very little room for things to change – which means the producers may have to shake up New Jersey.  At the end of the day you’ve been hired to do a job and entertain viewers.  Drama is okay – but toxicity isn’t.  You have to be ready to move on and pretend you don’t care.

3.  Don’t be a mean girl

Watch what you say in the blogs, on twitter, and in your talking head interviews – because no one likes a mean girl.  Hire a ghost writer to pen your blogs.  Ghost writers won’t have the emotional attachment to the situation, and will be able to get the points across succinctly.  Teresa wins big points for this.  Twitter meltdown are never good.  Lauren Manzo, Melissa Gorga, Ashlee Holmes, and Jacqueline Laurita have problems with this and should stay off twitter.     LuAnn manages to keep her tweets and blogs high level and light – which helps buffer her snake like personality.

2.   Snark – use humor to get your point across

Bethenny and Carol have this down to an art.  Snarky one liners and observations work well in the housewife world because while no one likes a mean girl, a Pollyanna is boring.  You can snark in your talking heads – but you should do it selectively.  Both Bethenny and Carol use LuAnn as their target – building off viewers frustrations with the Countess.  None of the New Jersey crew know how to snark.  They come off as whiny and humorless.

1.  Viewers gravitate toward the underdog.  If you ever find yourself the underdog.  Embrace it.  Don’t fight back too hard

Bethenny knows this better than anyone. Bethenny Frankel fell into the underdog role during Season 3 of New York.  Her father’s death, high risk pregnancy, and all out attack from Jill Zarin caused cast mates Ramona Singer and Alex McCord and viewers to form a protective circle around her.   Alex McCord was also the underdog – but decided to fight back rather than embrace underdog status.  It wasn’t a good fit – and made viewers uncomfortable.  Lisa Vanderpump was forewarned by Brandi Glamville that an attack was coming at her reunion.  She allowed her cast mates to get in their digs before shutting it down.  Teresa went into the NJ reunion the underdog.  It will be curious to see how she played her hand.

New Jersey worked this season – because it was all about shifting alliances.  Now that viewers know the cast members have been in a stalemate for the last year, it’s hard to see where it will go from here.  The reunion could have been an opportunity to mend fences and move forward.  It doesn’t sound like that happened.  You think they would have learned after New York – but it doesn’t seem like it.

Dina Manzo Updates and Dina’s Party – Season 2 Episode 3 – Dina Manzo throws a whimsical Anniversary Party by NoMoreDrama

This is Season 2 of Dina’s Party – the show Dina landed after she left/was fired from Bravo’s housewives.  Rumors are swirling that Dina will be back on Housewives of New Jersey next year now that she’s in a feud with sister Caroline Manzo.  Bravo even has a tribute to Dina on their website – 10 reasons to love Dina Manzo. This has Andy’s fingerprints all over it.  Some of the reasons they chose:

No. 9 – She Can Pull Off an Afro

Dina thinks a great fundraiser involves wearing wigs, and we couldn’t agree more.

No. 4 – Her Boobs are Too Big for Tennis

That’s our kind of athlete.

? Really ?

No. 3 – Her Demanding Expectations

Qualifications for being Dina’s Personal Assistant:

1. Must love cats
2. Willing to buy tampons
3. Happy to receive payment in the form of hugs

Lawsuit anyone?

No. 2 – Her Great One Liners

“I don’t know if she wants to be me, or skin me and wear me like last year’s Versace.”

No. 1 – She’s Giggy’s Mother-in-Law

Dina brought together two of the most powerful Housewives families through the union of Giggy and Grandma Wrinkles– the Vanderpumps and the Manzos. Get this woman a Nobel Peace Prize!

I find this ode to Dina pretty strange.  If feels like Bravo is wooing her back.                        _________________________________

Dina’s Party is a much better fit for Dina – who claims to be zen.  The show typically has gentle drama – will the furniture arrive on time sort of thing – but nothing toxic.

This episode Dina is asked to throw a 15th Anniversary party for Ileana and Angelo Cascio.  It’s never clear on this show who pays for the party – the producers or the clients.  I suspect the producers, because Dina always gives the client a big surprise that they can keep after the party decorations are taken down.  This time it is a new bedroom inspired by a hotel room – so that they can have a get-away in their house.  Dina tells us not to skimp on the bed and bedding – because we spend much of our lives in the bedroom – recharging – among other things (said with a wink).

Much of the show is like a giant craft project, as Dina’s crew strings together fake flowers, frames pictures the clients have taken (Dina claims this is instant art), and over decorates the living/dining  rooms in yellow roses, and more yellow roses.  Outside they create a giant tent inspired by Twilight complete with wisteria and moss and chandeliers.

The show must pay for all of this as the client is always happy.  This couple is no exception, as they break down in tears and can barely get through their vows.  Dina’s final surprise for them  – a giant yellow chicken.  I kid you not.  Dina had noticed a chicken in their wedding photos – and decided it must be important to the couple.  The show ends with everyone dancing with the chicken.  You can’t make this stuff up.

Tacky, over the top, but drama free.  Would Dina give this up to be a housewife again?

On Thursday Dina tweeted this message: “Can’t wait to see my little muffin goddaughter for her Birthday today @teresa_giudice it’s been too long!”

And then yesterday, “Look at her belly… Happy birthday little princess!” with the picture of little Audriana.

I think this is a clear message to her family that she’s on Team Teresa and she doesn’t care if the world knows it. I wonder when they’ll be signing contracts for S5 of RHONJ.  Should be interesting.

Real Housewives of Miami Cast Blogs by I Don’t Believe in Unicorns

Lea Black

Lea Black’s blog was the first one I read and I was a bit nervous seeing the seven pages as to what I might be in for.  Luckily most of the housewives didn’t have much to say.  Lea is kinda sorta like Carole with her blogging.  Very creative and almost poetic at times.  I’ll attempt to do it justice but I must say out of all of them, it is worth the read if you dare to visit the Bravo site.

After watching the first episode of the new and improved Real Housewives of Miami, I just had to wonder — are we all that different really? Do we all view the world that differently, or is it just more comfortable to talk in clichés? Are we more used to criticizing than complimenting? Are we in the habit of looking for what’s wrong or looking for what’s right in the world we live in?

After reading all of the other ladies blogs, I thought the same about all the cliches used.  I can tell you what’s wrong with my world right now in one word… Bravo.  May even be an epidemic.

Miami was showcased in all of its grandeur — the sexiest city on earth and magnificent beyond description — or was that just the visual I saw? So while listening to some of the girls describe it as “full of jealous people” (sometimes true), “people will walk all over you” (stilettos and all) ,”the rich are always trying to undo you” ( I guess when they’re not counting their money or polishing their diamonds,) “it’s smoke and mirrors” (hidden amongst the white beaches, the blue skies, and the skyline of over-the-top architectural buildings), and, of course, “everyone’s a recovering alcoholic” (or chilled out on Xanax — Xanax is the new booze). And is that the “old Miami” that should just shrivel up and cry, or “move over?”  After all, the old Miami is now the new Miami, I hear.  It just made me think maybe I do live in a state of non-reality reality. Oh never mind, that would be a Housewives show?

You heard it from a real housewife herself, Lea Black!

Obviously we will all disagree on everything all of time — so when in doubt, just believe me. As you know by now, I can deal with a lot, but “I can’t deal with stupid.”

Good thing she’s not on RHoNJ.

If you aren’t confused by now, don’t worry, you will be within the next few weeks. I’m still trying to figure it all out. I guess when you mix all those different cultures, add in love and romance, and did someone say “jealousy” when describing Miami? Well seems like the perfect storm could become a hurricane? Wonder who this hurricane will be named after? I think we are up to the “I”s now, as in Hurricane Isaac that hit a couple of weeks ago — doesn’t K and R (as in Rodolfo, mystery man who?) come after “I”? Some people are just unlucky with the alphabet I guess. Gotta blame it on something, because everyone’s right in this scenario, or so I’ve been told… It’s complicated.

Sounds downright ominous.

Lea then has several paragraphs with her own cute, little description of each housewife.  I don’t think I’ll include any of them.  I don’t want to be accused of snubbing anyone and it’s way too soon for me to show favoritism… I don’t know them well enough and we all know we can’t get a good impression from one measly episode.  And I slept through most of season one… yawn.

And we have seen some Emmy-award-winning crocodile-tear moments. Oh, the sagas of the real life housewife — or not really housewife but maybe someday a housewife? Does it matter? It’s all so fun to watch, housewife, non-housewife, does anyone really care? Translation: the new housewife is any woman with a house (apartment, car, garage, a beach or a party) filled with drama. And if you’re hot and sexy, well that makes you a super housewife. Then there’s the super-duper housewives (I’ll just let you think about that one).

I have a few guesses about who she’s referring to as the super-duper housewives.

Hope you liked Episode 1. And if I left anyone out — I’ve been known to snub you know — don’t take it personally. Enjoy the calm, it doesn’t last for long. They don’t refer to the Miami heat just because of the weather, the hurricanes which don’t always include rain, and the mosquitoes really bite, those pesky little mosquitoes, I have names for a few of them. (Just kidding.  Not.)

I had to go back and count, but Lea didn’t snub anyone.  Not in this blog anyway.  Although she may have dropped a few hints on who she thinks those pesky little mosquitoes are… you know, if you read between the lines.

Ana Quincoces

So I hoisted myself off the recliner and moseyed on over to the computer room at the retirement village to write this, my first RHOM blog. I am happy to report that I did not break a hip in the process. Now, let’s put this “older woman” jab into perspective shall we? First, let me say that the age disparity between Karent and I can hardly be described as a generation gap, regardless (or in Karent-speak “irregardless”) of what anyone says.

Funny.  I must admit however that I missed the comment or somehow blocked it out.  I’m sensitive to those “older woman” comments.

In my tender years I have managed to become a lawyer, an author, a chef, build a successful practice, enjoy a 20-plus year marriage, and, most importantly, be a mom to two extraordinary young women. If every smile or every tear I shed in the process contributed to an unfilled, un-botoxed line here or there, then I welcome them. They are badges of honor earned throughout a very fulfilling lifetime. I would say Karent has some catching up to do, wouldn’t you?

Normally such boasting would make me ill but I get she said it to make a point.  I can only approximate Ana’s age but I think she looks great. I read some of the comments and many say that she actually looks younger than Karent.  I agree.

There have been numerous questions about my “unorthodox” relationship with Robert. I suppose for those who have suffered through an ugly divorce, our situation is not the norm. The truth is that our separation was a very mutual and well thought out decision. It was not triggered or caused by any third party or scandal. It was a sad decision fueled by the realization that while we loved each very much, the relationship had evolved into a strong friendship — the kind of affection you have for a sibling. We decided that we were both too young to hang it up in the love and passion department – so here we are, still struggling with the aftermath of our decision but continuing to forge ahead in a positive and caring manner for the sake of Kati and Beba, who are everything to us.

It’s a shame her relationship with Robert is referred to as “unorthodox.”  Personally, I think more divorced couples, especially those with children, should aspire to maintain a respectful, caring relationship.  We often hear “for the sake of the children” yet many obviously don’t know what that means or even worse, don’t care.  Even if their children are older, they didn’t stop being parents.  There isn’t an age when you should stop setting a good example for your children.

Ana promises drama, intrigue and surprises.  I don’t think this season of Miami is going to be boring.  That’s a good thing, right?

Adriana De Moura

Welcome back to Miami! I’m so thrilled to be able to say that to all the viewers out there!

Adriana really said nothing in her blog… Here’s a sample.

What is there but a dream? This season we dared to dream, and we dreamt big and fierce. In fact, we did more than dream, we actually realized our dreams of showing the city we love and live in as it should be shown. In this season Miami becomes the main character in which we all work hard, play harder, fall in love, break up, fight, and make up.

She thanked the fans and Bravo and promised that this season is much more exciting, i.e. better scripted perhaps or masterfully edited?  What are the chances Bravo got it right this time?  I’m holding out hope… at least it CAN’T be worse than Jersey… can it?  NAH

I really can’t wait to show you all that went on, but also would like to say that I’m filled with gratitude towards all the fans and who believed in us and for Bravo who had the vision to see that inside the cocoon was a beautiful butterfly — Miami! And I promise you that this new season of Miami will not disappoint!

She also spoke about a roller coaster of emotions and drama, and to hold tight and buckle up… and let me add cross your fingers.

Marysol Patton

I’m so excited to be back again participating in the second season of The Real Housewives of Miami.

Mama and I have so much fun filming together, and it is such a wonderful bonding experience.

Really?  A bonding experience?  Hear that TeJoGu and MeJoGo?  I’m waiting… waiting… didn’t think so.

If you were a viewer last season, by now you know my husband Philippe and I have separated.

This has been a very difficult and painful period in my life, which will unfold as the season progresses.

This seems to be a real housewives mantra.  I do feel badly for her, but she was very unsure about getting married if I recall correctly

You have now met our sweet little dog Napoleon, who we adopted from the Humane Society. Napoleon is very mischievous and loves the rattle of a bottle of pills so much so that he intoxicated himself and fell asleep in the closet.

Huh?  First, it’s weird that this would put a dog to sleep but what I want to know is who is sitting there rattling bottles of pills enough to unknowingly put a dog to sleep?

In the final scene of the show, you all see Mama Elsa collapse at an event. Mother was overwhelmed with the crowd and the heat. She had spent several days not eating, because she was so upset about Napoleon being missing.

Me thinks Mama Elsa may have been the one “rattling” the bottles of pills.  I’m just glad to hear she’s okay.

Joanne Krupa

Haha let’s begin with the Ocean Drive shoot. I agreed to the shoot, because I was told it was a cover. If I was offered an editorial, I probably still would have agreed to do it (as I have done numerous editorials over the years and have nothing against them), but the fact that I was tricked into it made it unacceptable, and I wasn’t going to just sit there and go on with the shoot pretending everything is great and dandy.

I can’t say I know much about the modeling world, okay, I don’t know anything about the modeling world.  While Joanna acted like quite the diva I can understand her being angry about not getting what she was promised.  I believe she is the first housewife who really is the supermodel she claims to be so she’s used to getting things done HER way… however…

That being said, I love Ocean Drive, and both the covers I did with them are some of my favorites. I am very grateful to Ocean Drive, because if it wasn’t for my first cover, I might have never met my fiancé, Romain Zago, as he is the one that organized my cover party at Mynt, and that was the night we fell in love.

…she has a strange way of showing that she’s grateful.  How much can she really love her fiance?  My first impression was that she wasn’t capable of loving anyone but herself.  She doesn’t need him anyway.  There are men lining up to be with her.  I am just getting to know these ladies, so could I be wrong about this seemingly selfish woman?

For those that haven’t followed my career over the last 10 years and are meeting me for the first time on the show, I am a huge animal lover/activist. I am always rooting for the underdog, especially when they are defenseless and voiceless. Animals need humans to protect them, since they can’t fend for themselves... …My dream is to have my own animal sanctuary together with a therapy center for underprivileged and sick kids, where the kids and animals can heal each other and be away from reality for a few hours every day and be happy.

Then the clouds parted and the angels sang.  I surprisingly discovered I LOVE Joanna Krupa!  After all, she doesn’t put up with nonsense because she had to work the hard way to get where she is… as she said, she doesn’t have a sex tape, or a rich daddy, or a wealthy husband to tend to her every whim.  She explains how her protests got the Kardashian’s store in Calabasas closed down for lying and selling fur.  I will bet that THIS “supermodel” won’t change her mind tomorrow and decide it’s okay to wear fur yet still claim that she supports PETA.

Always remember: treat others as you want to be treated…

I’m just hoping she practices what she preaches.

Karent Sierra

After watching this first episode, I felt excited to see what the fans think and who they will gravitate towards. Perception is reality, and this is reality TV!

Wow, that’s deep.  And it’s about as deep as she gets in her two short paragraphs blog.

I am so pleased that my family life came through on the screen, as my family (my parents especially) are extremely important to me.

Is she talking about the scene where she and her boyfriend (or is he her fiance?) was talking inappropriately while eating breakfast with her parents?

I want fans to see me as a real person who stands for many causes. That’s why I agreed to be a part of The Real Housewives of Miami.

Blah blah blah – that’s what they all say.

As far as my castmates, I have formed some wonderful friendships and, well, didn’t with a few others. But that’s life and reality.

Here she is talking about reality again… is she trying to convince us?

This has been a crazy, wild ride and some of it was bumpy, while some of it was very exhilarating. From my personal life and relationship to my social and professional life, all limits were tested. All I hope is that this first episode gives viewers a peak into my life. I hope they stay along with me through the entire season!

Alexia Echevarria

I would like to start my blog this first episode by thanking all of the fans of the show for your prayers, love, and support this past year. Your love and support made it easier for me to make the decision to come back, along with the fact that God blessed us with Frankie’s miraculous recovery. My reality and my life this time around is very different from Season 1, and for that matter very different from the other ladies’ lives in Season 2. I couldn’t see the girls as much, because my day-to-day routine is filled with, first and foremost, Frankie’s therapies — physical, occupational, and speech in the mornings; aqua therapy and music therapy in the afternoons; all while trying to integrate myself back into the magazine and my life at home with Peter and Herman. I had been totally withdrawn and consumed for six months while at the hospital with Frankie and at the rehabilitation facility in Atlanta.

I’m glad Alexia came back.  For one reason, I liked her last season and it also means that her son is doing well.  It sounds like she had a rough six months plus but hopefully things are getting back to normal for her.

I was excited to see the new girls and the “original” ones as well. I had kept in touch with and seen Marysol, Ana, Lea, and Adriana. I knew Karent socially and was very surprised with her cold greeting, but was even more surprised that she showed up with Rodolfo and that Rodolfo didn’t know Ana.

Sounds like Karent might be the quintessential villain, or at least one of them.  Bets anyone?

Lisa Hochstein

It’s the beginning of a new journey and beautiful friendships! (Or not?) One of my favorite things in life is meeting new and interesting people and experiencing new things, so being introduced to a new social circle of so many talented, strong, beautiful women was exciting for me. (Although I already knew Adriana and Joanna, who are both fabulous.)

I do believe that Miami RHs have more beautiful and successful women than all the other franchises.  Ironically, it’s Lisa herself who is the only one who’s only claim to fame that I know of is being married to an apparently successful plastic surgeon.

We are definitely spoiled living in Miami; the weather is beautiful, the people are sexy, and there is no shortage of fabulous things to do and see. I of course am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband in my life, who also happened to be my best friend.

I wonder if he would be her best friend if he wasn’t a wealthy successful plastic surgeon.  After all, she did admit that that’s exactly what she wanted to do with her life… marry a plastic surgeon.  I doubt he was her best friend before he was a wealthy plastic surgeon.

My husband brought me the great news about our Star Island home, and I was super excited. Many people asked why we wanted to move, since our home was already so beautiful.

I love decorating and my husband’s second passion besides his career as a plastic surgeon is the building and the construction process.

Isn’t that what he does as a plastic surgeon?  Build and construct?

My housekeeper/assistant, Daysy, is very dear to me. Not only does she work for me, we have become friends. She is truly an amazing, loyal, and genuine person, who really cares about me and my husband. It’s rare to meet people in life who are so selfless and want the best for others…  …Daysy had expressed to me she was very unhappy with how she looked, and didn’t feel comfortable with her body. I discussed this with my husband and decided that he would do her surgery for her. All we asked is that she became healthier before surgery and tried to lose some of the weight on her own. Diet and exercise coupled with surgery is ideal if you want to truly get the best results. Being the fitness and health enthusiast that I am, I volunteered to help her do that. Needless to say she’s ecstatic and excited for her new body.

Diet and exercise is for disciplined, hard working, ambitious people who like to read.  Guess not everyone can just prove they’re lazy and depressed, get a lap band and call it a day.

So much happened that night at the Smith and Wollensky event with Elsa fainting (thankfully she’s OK!), tension between the other women, and Marta crying. I quickly came to the conclusion that I would never be bored in this group.

“Tension,” crying,” “I would never be bored in this group.”  All sound like warnings to me.

Housewife News – BB and NoMoreDrama

Caroline Manzo spoke to US Weekly about season four of Real Housewives of New Jersey.  “I feel really good — so unburdened,” she said after taping a heated reunion special. “This was a very ugly season for me; every week I watched and got more and more upset because I didn’t like who I was, but I had to say what I needed to say.”  It’s good to hear Caroline say she didn’t like who she was on Season Four -because many viewers found it difficult to watch as she got more and more bitter.  Hopefully she’s in a better place now and can move on.

Looks like Bethenny Frankel isn’t the only (former) housewife) with her sights set on a talk show.  NeNe Leakes wants everyone to know that she’d like one too.  Could NeNe Leakes Be The Second Housewife to Score a Talk Show?

In a September 11th Q and A with the New York Post, NeNe says, “Whatever the topic is, I feel I could talk about anything. Politics, men, money, shoes . . . anything. I wouldn’t want to do a ‘Maury Povich’ show. Baby daddy! Who’s your daddy? Who’s your mama? I wouldn’t want to do that kind of show.”  She went on to say she caught Bethenny Frankel’s talk show and thought she did a wonderful job.  When asked if they did an all-star “Housewives” edition, who would she like to see on it, she answered “I would probably do me, Bethenny, I like Jill Zarin even though she’s not there. I think she is everything of New York City. Her accent and everything is just great. I would probably grab Gretchen [Rossi] from “Orange County,” Teresa from “New Jersey,” and we could work it out.”  For more of the interview:  Click here

OC Housewives News

Vicki Gunvalson.  WetPaint.com interviewed the OC housewife on September 6, where she talks about how excited she is about becoming a grandma in a few weeks and her current relationships with castemates and current boyfriend.  She’s not sure what her relationship is with Gretchen and Slade, but calls Tamra a hateful person.  She says her relationship with Brooks Ayers was damaged by the all the negativity, but they are still dating and she’s happy and not going to worry about what people think anymore.  She is also launching a new business venture, Vicki’s Vodka (just what the public needs, another brand of Vodka).  At the time of the interview, she was still in talks about coming back for Season 8 of the Real Housewives of the OC.  For more of the interview:  Click here

Gretchen Rossi.  On September 11, Gretchen told WetPaint.com she has been asked back for Season 8, she hopes she’ll be back, and they’re still in the middle of negotiations.  Gretchen also heard Bravo will be adding a new housewife next season.  She doesn’t talk to Alexis Bellino at all and she and Vicki Gunvalson are just whatever.  She’s still close to Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow. I guess nothing’s changed since the season 7 reunion.  For more on what’s going on with Gretchen and Slade:  Click here

On the WWHL aftershow – Andy Cohen talks about why they made the decision to renew Miami – and starts to talk about DC but gets cut off by a viewer. Watch it here

The Posche Fashion Showdown – Who’s Responsible?

In the next two episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we finally get to see what goes down during the Posche Fashion Show from a year ago when Angelo Vrohidis, former manager of Lookers, a gentlemen’s club, makes an appearance and supposedly all hell breaks loose.  Back on November 16, 2011, in an exclusive interview with allabouttrh, Mr. Vrohidis alleges Melissa Gorga was a dancer at Lookers for less than a year, despite her claim that she only bartended there.  Mr. Vrohidis further states he did not know Teresa Guidice prior to meeting her in a hair salon and telling her he used to work with her sister-in-law.  He claims Teresa was very shocked and defensive of Melissa saying “Listen, don’t talk about my family like that.”  To read the entire interview: click here

    Your Sunday Song..

    • Diva, how bout you, me, Lego Man, & Cap’n Morgan tonite?

      • Dame…LOL LOL LOL
I actually had a dream about you me and LEGO MAN last night….thats why I posted the Sunday Lego Song..It was my morning ear worm when I woke up EARLY…thanks to my neighbors dog who is CAGED ALL THE TIME and throws his metal bowl around…Time for another call to Animal Control.. I feel so bad for this poor pup… Outside ALL the time..
Some people should NOT have animals..or even kids…

        • Powell says:

Diva I had to do the same thing last summer. A next door neighbor tied up their puppy everyday in over 100 degree weather. Called animal control twice. The husband said he didn’t want the dog, it’s his family’s. The dog did his biz on the side of my house & tore my newspaper. I had a talk w/a household member. They got rid of the dog.

    • disgrazia4 says:

Thank you Diva! You make me laugh!! 😀

  5. Thanks NoMoreDrama; from your mouth to the housewives ears!
I haven’t watched RHNJ this season but will tonite, since Drop Dead Diva is over. Perfect timing! Have a great day – see you tonite for the fireworks!

    • Good morning Dame… DDD finale was really good !!!! I wonder what happens NEXT ???
Found your mail FINALLY !!! LOL
      Boss returns today..Should be interesting.
Went for an interview after work yesterday. A cafe called Nutmegs. Opening in two weeks. Like a Panera bread place BUT she wants to have high tea on Saturdays..Hmm.Not sure the “cowgals” here in town even know what a tea room is …Interior design is along the lines of shabby chic…I can see myself working there with her…. Now it’s a waiting game..Maybe this time around my ” age ” may be beneficial to
      this business..We shall see…winks
      GO STEELERS !!!!!!

  6. Lulu says:

Good Morning! Great job on the blogs NMD, Lea Black and BB! You would think the HW’s would learn by now but they can’t help themselves. Caroline reminds me of that thing that shouldn’t be named. Who can forget the “I changed” speech. Once you lose viewers your dead in the water. I think the reunion will cinch the deal as to her return depending how she behaves.

I hope that bravo pays attention to these blogs and gets rid of the Manzo’s all of them. Lauren, Chris, Albie are ANNOYING! On the plus side when their segments come up it’s my cue to wash the dishes, fold laundry and random tasks. 🙂

As far as Melissa this season I like her better but the last one I didn’t. She had two agendas Bash Tre and push her pitch perfect singing career. That left a bad taste in my mouth let us get to know you first before you push your agenda! I think she wised up enough to realize that continuously bashing Tre was not going into her favor. Last thought in the last episode anyone catch the “raccoon” eyes when she was talking to Jaq. Gee I wonder where Juicy got that idea from.

    • Powell says:

LuLu if there are no mre Lauritas/Manzos then it will be T w/her family and new ladies, I guess a friend of Ts and a friend of a friend. Interesting. 🙂

I’m going to check out “New World” to see what you were talking about. Did you get your 8 minutes back?? 🙂

    • mrs peabody says:

Because of how these last 2 seasons were filmed one right after the other I am wondering if toward the end of this season we aren’t seeing a bit of a change in Melissa and Kathy’s treatment of Teresa happening because of the negative feedback they were getting for their actions in their first season on the show. THink about it, they were filming as season 3 was showing and they were getting horrible comments on the blogs (not bravo logs as that was when only the positive things were getting through). I have noticed a change in Richie the last few episodes, you don’t hear as much negative things coming out of his mouth, it’s almost like he shut up or maybe the producer had been fired by this time in the editing. You see Melissa trying harder to be nicer (still not buying it), almost like she saw how she came across and is trying to correct her imagine. You don’t hear her god awful sisters saying all the crap they said. You see Joey G covering up his actions better. It seems they changed their tactics in trying to bring Teresa down more and Caroline upped hers.

      • Lisa Renee says:

Mrs. P, I have seen the same & guessed it was becaue of the feedback they were getting from last season, going into this season blind. By end of this season I lost count of how many times DonC cut her eyes to the peanut gallery if someone was talking/making fun of/not PC kinda stuff. The funniest most obvious to me was when T pinched JoGu on the arm when he called her a retard during “the call”. She knew that could be a reunion question. The Wakile Gorga bunch learned & caught up quick, too bad most of their second season was already in the can lol, Lisa

      • Lulu says:

Very true! I think the learned a lesson from that which never should be named. Caught on to that too.

  7. JustDee says:

Thanks for biting the bullet with the HW blogs IDBIU. It takes a strong person to plow through all that crap, lol. I try to read ’em and my eyes roll back in my head. 🙄

  8. cusi77 says:

Thank you for great Blogs Ladies, great HW’s news and polls! You make me smile!

Happy Birthday Disgrazia! Enjoy your day, my best wishes for you!

  9. ATLnNYC09 says:

Drama, your blog is on FIRE! It is awesome! I love the polls, especially the question about taking advice from Caroline. Could we get a HELL NO option? That would definitely be my choice.

I also like the 10 tips for Bravo housewives. I have to say 5 is especially true. Jacqueline utilizes this so much. She always writes on twitter or in her Bravo blog, “if you look closely enough, if you watch close enough, etc.” Im always thinking, what the hell are you talking about? Bravo only gives us what they want to see. Everything else is spilled info or speculation. Nobody really knows what goes on with these shows except these women, the producers and the behind the scenes people. Jac is crazy if she thinks we can just see through what is visually edited for spin. If she has something she needs to say about what goes on, she needs to come on out and spill the beans. Other than that, STOP talking about reading between the lines. We may never really know what truly goes on.

    • VV says:

There are (2) number “7”. I disagree a little with both. I think, yes Teresa is stubborn but for example she has apologize in every possible way to Caroline and her brother and even Kathy numerous times. So, she has owned it.
The other #7, she gets paid for magazine covers and answering question in paper to the gossip magazine. I think Joe exaggerating to impressed the other
men when he mentioned that outrageous amount that no gossip magazine will pay for an interview. All season long, we hear all the other men say how Joe Giu exagerates a lot about everything he does. So, the minute he talks about rag magazine. Everybody says he was being truthful, no exaggeration there….

      • VV – I think she’s apologized enough for the cookbook – but Tree never seems to understand that it takes 2 people to fight – and she has a role in it. There were a couple of scenes this year with friends basically telling her she was 100 percent right that were eye opening.

      • PJ says:

I agree. I think Teresa did own her actions and it isn’t her fault if others won’t accept that. I agree about Joe Guidice (sp?) too, people believe what they want to believe. In this case it is convenient for the others to believe him..

Jac reminds me of a relative that used to always say “you read me” or “they read me” no one ever knew what the world he was talking about and in reality he wasn’t talking about anything and neither is Jac.

  10. Powell says:

Good morning. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

NMD I hope you had a fantastic vacation. Welcome home. 🙂

  11. JustDee says:

Don’t forget to check out the Book Chat Page Y’all!

  12. Powell says:

“Which HW makes you change the channel?”. I picked Caroline but you’ve put
“Alll of the above” for me. 😉

  13. Powell says:

Good Fellas is on AMC. I haven’t seen it in a long time. Good movie.

    • Powell.. Mr ford watches it EVERY time it airs…that , and MY COUSIN VINNIE…LOL LOL
I am more in the mood today to watch the full unedited version of THE JERK for some reason…hahaha
off to get ready for work… Sun is shining for now..Rain coming later.. UGH… We still havent dried out from when Hurricane Isaac dumped all that rain on us… Our County has YET to clean the ditches and culverts out so the water is not flowing… Folks are getting PEEEE OD…..now it’s the attack of the skeeters at night we have to contend with.. along with LOVE BUGS during the day…cant catch a break I swear….
      Hugs and Peace

      • Powell says:

I hope Mr. Ford is well and enjoying Good Fellas. 🙂

It’s terrible you all are still dealing w/the aftermath of the hurricane.

        You have a good day.

  14. VV says:

Looks like it will be up to Cat O. when she goes on WWHL to mention something about Lynn. I hope she does.

      • VV says:

Cat will be there to promote her book. I remember reading that Cat had invited Lynn as her guest to the club house for that appearance. I don’t know the date. Sorry, 😦

    • MamaZ says:

Me too. I’m disappointed that Andy didn’t say anything. Lynn was an actual part of JZ’s storyline at one point. I think that alone earned her a mention. In addition a lot of people watched because of Lynn’s blog. So many times I was sick of the shows but continued to watch because I wanted to see what Lynn and family had to say about what was happening.

      • VV says:

Lynn made an impact on HW no doubt about it. I’m sure Andy, producers and Bravo PR read her blogs daily.

      • mrs peabody says:

I would be seriously surprised if Andy ever says anything. If he were ever to have said something it would have been at the time it happened and he was on vacation then. I think his comment on twitter is the only thing that will ever be said. So sad but true.

      • ATLnNYC09 says:

I am disappointed but not surprised in Andy. My thing about this issue is that Andy gives the Mazel to so many stupid and ridiculous things that I really dont think he could do any justice to Lynn’s memory. Its probably a blessing in disguise.

      • Boobah says:

I completely agree MamaZ. And me too…sometimes I was sick and tired of the drama but watched anyway.

    • Powell says:

      • Called A Princess... says:

Kind of like having a vampire promoting the Blood Bank. IMO.

        • djprincessc says:

I really did not expect at all to hear Andy say anything about Lynn or giving her the mazel. Think about it, we loved her blog bc it was real and she called things out the way they happened (even though there were disagreements at times) I doubt Andy appreciated her exposing the series and her telling it like it was. Andy is delusional and thinks he knows what the viewers truly want, just like any other Head/CEO of a network. If he wasn’t so out of touch with reality he’d see that all of the ganging up/cattiness/fighting is making viewers be over the housewives.

  15. Powell says:

That was great of Stephen Kling doing the walk on behalf of Lynn.

  16. MamaZ says:

NMD – Great list of things Housewives should have learned. Must reading for all current and prospective Housewives!

  17. klmh says:

Since the police won’t get me, Im going to put this on. Its hysterical and has been around, but even at that its worth another look.
This will balance out the sadness we will see this evening. 🙂

    • Powell says:

klmh that’s funny. She didn’t get one thing done. When you think about it though is it funny or sad? Hmm.

      • klmh says:

Oh Powell, Im afraid that’s kind of what happens to me. Its funny, to me because I swear I do these things all the time. Its not forgetting, its just unfocused imo, with lots to do.
        Glad you enjoyed it.

    • lovemamaearth says:

LOL I’m always looking around when I go into a room to do something now. I usually spy what it was I needed Eventually. I now see why my Grandfather paid a bill as soon as it came in. My mom laughed at him for doing that but she had some utiliities turned off a couple years ago because she’d forget to pay them.

    • LOL- too funny and oddly enough is a lot like the day for the mother of a preschooler.

    • looneylucy says:

Thank you klmh! This is my husband! He will start the mower, make two passes in the front yard, shut the mower off and start cleaning out his car. He’ll take something out of his car into the garage and decide to sweep the garage. He’ll see the ladder in the garage and decide to clean the eave troughs on the roof. Meanwhile, the mower is in the middle of the yard, all 4 car doors are open, the ladder and refuse can are also in the yard. While he’s on the ladder, he’ll decide to take the screen off the front window and wash the window. He goes to get windex & paper towel and sees the shop vac, so he brings it out into the driveway to vaccum his car. The front yard looks like Sanford & Son. I attempt to pick things up & get my butt chewed out because he’s “not done”.

Thankfully, with the help of medication, he’s “somewhat” better. Welcome to my world! Now you know why my name is “looney” lucy!

      • LaineyLainey says:

So funny LooneyLucy, and well written. I could “see” the whole picture you painted and could “hear” him fussing at you for picking up behind him. LOL!!!

    • LaineyLainey says:

I thoroughly enjoyed that video klmh – – – definitely some of this is “age activiated” haha!! But like Rabble said, having small children can sometimes make you feel like you’re walking around aimlessly…you start on something and then “mommmmmmmy”!!!

  18. Powell says:

NMD loved the “top 10”. I tweeted Caroline, Ramona, LuAnn, Carol, Mel, T & Jac to read today’s blog. 😉

  19. OT – I’m thinking about buying a kindle. Should I get the one with the keyboard? I want to be able to read outside – so I don’t want the touchscreen type. Any advice?

    • mrs peabody says:

I’m thinking of getting a fire, I want to be able to get on internet when I’m traveling and don’t want to take my laptop. The one I have has the keyboard and I like it fine. It’s the old model.

    • lovemamaearth says:

I don’t have one but I found a overview of it and they show a userreviews section in the menu. Cnet seems to be a fair source from my experience.

      Good luck deciding.

    • klmh says:

      They look really neat.
Since you travel, do you want something to bring with you that’s wi fi or Verizon ATT activated? I bought the IPad and Verizon accessible. You can buy what you think you might use on a monthly basis and its great for traveling. I have a GPS app that we used last month. I think Kindle now has that capacity too. The IPad is nice, but is difficult to see when wearing sun glasses. You might want to try what they have in different lights. The touchscreen is easy to use with my thumbs, but I guess its not what you would like.
Good luck on your search for what you would like…

      • My cell phone doesn’t work outside of the lower 48 – not even in Canada – so I’d love something that can access the net while I travel without wi fi. But I mainly want it for reading.

        • klmh says:

The problem with these devices is that, if you connect with the phones services outside
of the US, they won’t work, but will in a wi fi setting. I used it overseas with wi fi services provided by the hotels or coffee shops, and it worked well. For me, the knowledge that I could connect with a phone service in the US was pretty high on my want list, because we will be traveling more here. You can find so many things, restaurants, gas stations, you name it, you can find it, whenever you like, and you don’t need to be tied to simple wifi where provided.
Problem with mine though is, if I use it for reading, it will need to be charged probably daily. With my Nook, I don’t have to charge it for a month even while reading several books. Im not sure what the life charge on the Kindle is though. It looks like a great device, and I probably would have gone with it had I not purchased this 2 months ago. I do love it though.

        • klmh says:

It will work in Hawaii. 🙂

        • looneylucy says:

NMD – for reading only on the Kindle, once you have purchased a book, it is in your “library”. No wi-fi needed while reading.

      • Powell says:

The new one will allow you to pay the Verizon fee for the yr instead of monthly.

        • klmh says:

You can also get the IPad set up this way as well, but I forgot to mention I can’t get phone or internet service thru V. because of no service, so for me, because I use satellite for my computer, I just buy when a trip is approaching (for the pad).
          Good point Powell.

    • Powell says:

I’m thinking about it too. The knew one. $499 ouch! Priced better than the iPad.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

I have a Kindle and got a Kindle Fire. Besides the internet access, Amazon has the best selection of books – get Amazon Prime membership for great savings. I like that you don’t have viewing compromised by the sunshine. Good luck with your decision.

    • Orson says:

One thing that made me decide on a Nook was I could go to a store to look at one and have questions answered by a real person before and after I bought it. And I like the “e Ink”, so I can read in sunlight. I basically just need the same amount of light I’d need to read a paper book. YOu can look at nooks at any Barnes & Noble and I guess they’re also available at Best Buys. You can get kindles at BB too, but when I went shopping, you could only get Kindles directly from Amazon.

    • looneylucy says:

NMD – Go to Kindleboards.com. A fantastic website that covers everything you ever wanted to know about Kindles. Its a forum for all Kindle users.

    • mrs peabody says:

Wonder what Reid thinks of his sister Fran’s and her added weight, after all she isn’t that skinny young woman she was on the Nanny, she’s added a bunch of weight to her body. Maybe before he makes those comments about Sonja and Ramona (and all the rest of us women of that age) she should be looking at his own family members not just his wife and her skinny body.

      • That was so rude of him. Seriously. What was he thinking?

        • MamaZ says:

Calling a woman fat is an insult that is guaranteed to wound even the fittest woman. When it comes from a man it is even more painful.

Aviva is very slender. I would guess that’s at least in part due to genetics. And part to diet and exercise. She is probably proud of her body and rightfully so. But she strikes me as the kind of woman who may point out the flaws of others to her husband as a way of calling attention to her own better figure. We know she is insecure and probably needs constant assurance that she is attractive and desirable. Reid knew exactly what Aviva wanted and needed to hear.

People come in all shapes and sizes. Weight is not necessarily an indication of fitness and health. I have known very skinny women who exist on diet soda and cigarettes. Not very healthy, lol. My daughter has a good friend who is a bigger girl but she is all muscle. One of the fittest teens I have ever seen. She is beautiful, strong and solid. But she is not a cookie cutter teen. Fortunately she is also very secure and happy with the way she looks and feels.

          • Powell says:

Wouldn’t it be boring if us women looked the same, like stepford wives?

            • Called A Princess... says:

Reid said it about women he felt had been rude to him and his wife. He may have immature and wrong, but nobody on these shows should have to always be perfect. He said one thing and now he is public enemy number one to women all over the planet. Not. IMO.

              • PJ says:

What Reid said was uncalled for, nasty and demeaning. It gets to the heart of who he is, apparently he and Adiva are very much of the same mind set. They are arrogant and think they are better than others.

      • amalfi says:

Fran Drescher is a cousin, not his sister.

He’s still kind of a douchebag for that statement.

  20. AZGirl says:

Good morning everyone! Catching up. Cleaned house this morning and now I can relax and read the blog.
When Lisa on Miami was working out with Daisy the housekeeper I was literally screaming at the tv. Lisa is not certified and none of the exercises Daisy was doing were done correctly. Even her ab crunches were wrong. If you want to tone up and lose weight hire a professional trainer with a ACE or AFAA certification. How you do the workout is 99% good form. Ahhhhh!!! Drives me crazy!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. GO NOTRE DAME!!! Sorry for ASU’s loss to Mizzou last night.

    • I’m enjoying watching a local boy, Bennett Jackson play defense for Notre Dame. What is up with the “Big 10”? Penn St. is a mess, so is Ohio State. Even if they win the Big 10 they can’t go to a bowl game, or get the title. Penn St. is being penalized for what the coaches & administration did, while Ohio St. is a mess because the football players took goodies (cars & other stuff, then a few players did some other bad things) from fans….Ohio St. is being penalized for several years. So it’s going to be Wisconsin, Michigan St. or Michigan winning the title, unless Nebraska blindsides them. Can’t wait to see how the Cornhuskers do now that they are in the Big Ten.

What’s great about Notre Dame is over 90 % of their football players actually graduate from college. Now that is something!

      • WindyCityWondering says:

You mean the two big 10s? Leaders and Legends – what is up with that?

        • The “Big 10” has 12 teams now, so they divided them up into leaders & legends…makes no sense. They don’t all play each other every season either. So it’s complicated, and now with Nebraska in there, it’s quite a mix.
Ohio St, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Penn St….the last 2 are the add ons to the Original Big Ten. Penn St. thought when they joined the conference that they would soon be winning the conference Title. Nope. Iowa has more wins against Penn St., it’s quite a rivalry.

  21. Great blog NMD, enjoyed your 10 tips for the housewives, now if they would only listen! Andy is so in love with Dina, he is “wooing” her back to be on RHONJ. I.would.love.it. if Dina came back, & Caroline stayed on too! Now that would be payback for Caroline, if Dina took Teresa’s side & spoke openly about how she REALLY feels about Caroline. Is Dina’s daughter 18 yet? I always loved her daughter Lexi.

Unicorns, you did a great job with the Miami blogs. Fighting over that guy, the Spanish soap opera star? Ughh no, thanks. While he was having breakfast with Karen(t) (what kind of name is that anyway?) her parents were looking daggers at him. And he was crude, talking about having fun with blondes right in front of her & her parents. Ana would be smart to stay away from him. He’s a playa.

Thank you for a fun read on a gorgeous Sunday! Lynn would be so proud 🙂

  22. WindyCityWondering says:

Thanks you for the Sunday brunch of a blog today!

  23. Kat from Ohio says:

I can’t see how they can possibly move forward with another season of RHONJ without a major cast shake-up. Things are at a total deadlock. Tre won’t ever be friends with Jacqueline again. Caroline won’t let things go. She and Melissa will never make up for more than two episodes. Kathy might not bash Teresa, but she’s not doing much to defend her. Getting rid of Teresa like producers did Danielle would be a quick fix, but doesn’t make sense. For one, none of the ladies have much in common other than Teresa (other than Jaq and Caroline who are obviously related). Two, Teresa is still very, VERY popular with viewers, unlike Danielle. Getting rid of Caroline and Jacqueline would be a questionable choice too, as both of those women still have a large following among viewers too. So what can be done? A whole new cast? I tend to doubt it, since Teresa, Jacqueline, and Caroline are so popular. Usually when a big showdown like this happens, the fans swarm to one side and one of the wives is left without fans (bethenny and jill). But that didn’t happen this time because people are SO polarized.

It’s just interesting. I think bringing on Dina would be a very interesting move. I’ve said before that I’d even watch a season with Danielle again. Bringing on a KIM is out of the question. What nasty women…

Sorry for rambling. Just thinking ahead to the next season, but i really don’t think there could be a next season without casting changes. Guess we’ll have to “watch what happens….”

    • Powell says:

kat frankly a whole new cast would be my wish, I’ve tweeted that to Bravo & Andy a few times but I’m sure that won’t happen. I can’t see them ditching Tre cause she’s Bravo’s cash cow since they supposedly get a piece of anything she does outside of HWs. No one else on NJ is making cash like T which if the rest of those idiots would stop being made at or trying to bring T down they would all be doing. You said Caroline & Jac are popular so get rid of Ts family then? LuLu said get rid of the Manzos. Like you said they’ve got to make a cast shake-up.

      • kit9 says:

I know Andy has said that Bravo gets nothing from the ladies outside ventures. Has that changed?

        • Orson says:

Bravo may not get anything from print, personal appearances, products, but I expect they can’t appear on any television programs without Bravo’s approval and maybe they get a cut.

      • mrs peabody says:

I’d like to see Caroline and Melissa go. They’d both be so p*ssed, esp Joey G and the wicked sisters. Can you imagine what would happen if Melissa wasn’t asked back and Kathy was (even though Kathy adds nothing to the show). I’d like to see Dina and Jacq on without Caroline and her group of do nothing kids. I think it would be fun to have Teresa, Dina and Jacq together again. On 2nd thought dump Kathy too and bring in 2 new ladies, maybe a friend for Teresa and a different sister for Dina and Jacq, then have them do fun things.

Bravo is in an interesting dilemma – who should go? Take out one family and stop the 4 on 1 takedown that didn’t work.

    • It feels a little bit more like Atlanta – where NeNe and Kim both have a strong fan base. It got pretty boring when they refused to film with each other. I think bringing back Dina might work. Part of the problem is that they haven’t had to interact in such a long time, there hasn’t been any chance to make up. The other thing is because it’s about family it’s much more emotional than the Kim/NeNe feud – where they are both savvy enough to make up if they know the viewers need to see that.

Is Caroline really popular? If she is why didn’t her cookbook sell. Just asking.

      • BB says:

I think Caroline has a good share of followers. She never had a cookbook to sell (as far as I know). She talked about it, Teresa did it. That’s probably why she’s so PO’d (at least one reason)

        • PJ says:

I thought she wrote a cookbook that didn’t sell. I could be wrong. I still don’t think she is super popular. Caroline has signed a deal to write a sort of tell all book though, filled with Caroline’s demented version of reality and putting Teresa down I’m sure.

          • BB says:

I guess I’m going by polls. Not Bravo polls, but polls on other websites plus even this one. Caroline seems to be holding her own with the fans. I can’t understand it, but I think it’s more Teresa dislike than Caroline like. There are still many people who do not like Teresa.

            • WindyCityWondering says:

Her kids have a lot of free time on their hands – I’ll leave it at that. lol

            • PJ says:

If you go by comments left on blogs, here and other blogs, and even by what is written by bloggers Caroline seems to be pretty unpopular. But I’m sure she does have her supporters.

            • VV says:

BB, after Caroline appeared on Bethenny’s show. Her blogs became more contrive. She appeared on Bethenny mid July I think. Prior to that her blogs were a Teresa bash fest. I think B gave her a few pointers. I don’t know if she changed PR people or not but I started to see Bitter Clown having more of a game plan to deal with backlash and potentially turn her whole situation around. Did anybody notice a twitter follower increase after July?

        • PJ says:

Not if you read the blogs she isn’t.

        • ATLnNYC09 says:

Caroline and Teresa have a similar amount of twitter followers. Teresa has about 550,000 and Caroline has about 480,000. Make of that what you will. Teresa’s followers are definitely more vocal and Caroline doesnt seem to have die hard followers like Teresa.

          • PJ says:

As we’ve learned many of these people buy twitter followers so now I’m not sure how good of an indication twitter followers are as to popularity. Remember JZ and how many Twitter followers she had. JZ also had her supporters but she wasn’t popular. That’s why I go by what comments on blogs more than twitter.

Commented in the wrong spot! Copying from yesterday’s blog….wasn’t paying attention!

If anyone is brave enough to watch, SH has a reader video of Melissas performance at Great Adventure. I won’t spoil it for you.

As far as next years cast, the best move would be to keep everyone but Teresa. Otherwise we will have to watch a third year of the same fight. Then, give Teresa her own show and it’s sink or swim for her. As for hws, let the other ladies who are left eat each other.

As to the set up, sure, strippergate was set up. By bravo, Kim d, penny, Johnny, whoever else slipped out of the woodwork in the hopes of getting tv time and production. Melissa was nervous to show up at the fashion show. She knew something was coming. As far as Teresa is concerned…I don’t believe she’d set up Mel like this. Not because she cares about her, but because she cares about her brother and her parents. She knows she can’t win against Mel without losing joe. Joe trumps all. Or at least it did-Teresa crime, was not warning her or trying to stop it. But, really, could she have stopped it? If Teresa ditched the fashion show, the guy still would have approached Mel. If Mel stayed home, he probably would have approached Teresa or one of the other ladies. This was coming out regardless. These ladies have no power. They are slaves to the network and their storylines.

I will predict that Jac will be painful to watch on WWHL.

    • PJ says:

It looks like all he really did was say hello to Melissa, big set up. If that’s true why did Melissa freak out?

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Melissa is not stupid – she has skeletons in her closet and many enemies made during her quest to get on RHNJ. The fact that her hubby was right next door also speaks volumes.

        • Exit4 says:

I don’t think any of her reaction has to do with working at lookers. Who cares if you bartended there? She probably made food money. I think it has more to do with her past in general. Who she hung out with, who she dated, her attitude (maybe Teresa was onto something with the gold digger stuff), maybe she partied a lot, pissed off the wrong people. Nothing that should matter, but maybe she prefers to have everyone believe the persona she has created for herself now. Nothing wrong there either, lots of people have been there. She chose to put her life on display-sadly that stuff comes with the territory.

I’m guessing she’s going to announce that her talk show has definitely been picked up for syndication. I heard she was going to try to stay in NY if is was.

Got my Vanity Fair yesterday in the mail. Just finished the Tom Cruise “Find a Wife” article. I very informed about Scientology and their cult practices but this article just blows me away. All the sources are well known upper level Scientologist that have left the cult over the past 5 years. Tom Cruise is a small brainless toy of David Masgcavic. He is totally controlled by the cult and abusive to those who do not tow the line for Scientology.
Remember, first and foremost Scientology disinfranchises families. Bella and Conner were told that Nicole was an SP and they wanted nothing to do with her. Tom wanted the kids to have no contact with Nic whatsoever. As we know now they do not.

Thank heavens for Katie’s dad and the prenup that he put together. They say that is why Tom had no control over Katie leaving or raising Suri in Scientology. Creepy Tom Cruise can take a hike. I will not pay money to view another film he makes.

We used to go to Clearwater, FL for spring training. Scientology has a Hw there. A gorgeous spot on the bay (the new place). Im not sure where the old place was. Anyway, they have a uniform that they wear. Khakis and baby polo shirts. So you know one when you see one out and about! My hubs and I were driving and there were 3 people at the corner in the uniform. My hubs, thinking he’s a funny guy, rolled down the window and yelled out “na nu na nu take me to your leader”. They just looked at us. All I kept thinking was I hope they don’t trace our plates and put us in a camp or something. I also hoped they were actually scientologistsand not normal people in khakis and navy polos!

Years before, when I worked in NYC I met John travolta and his wife and actually got to talk with them. It was all I could do not to ask about Scientology. I didn’t, but for the record, he’s a really super nice guy.

      • LaineyLainey says:

funny story, Exit4!!! Your husband is Mork? LOL!! OMgoodness, what if they were normal people in khakis standing on the corner. LOLOLOL!!!!

I’m watching the last episode of NJ. It’s probably the third time I’ve seen it. Caroline is such a mean and hateful person. She has no problem inserting the proverbial knife into Teresa’s back. I hope on the reunion Teresa lets loose on Caroline. I hope she not only inserts the proverbial knife, but twists it real good. Whatcha wanna bet Caroline spews her favorite line….”it is what it is”? Miserable bitch. To be such a strong woman, she sure has a thin skin if she’s bothered so badly by tabloids.

  31. Let’s move over to the chat blog. Rebecca has done a great recap of Caroline’s thoughts about Teresa over the last four years. http://wp.me/p2FHcY-mA

  32. Putchka says:

NMD, you’re a great writer. Interesting and funny. Anyway, I can’t take Teresa anymore, What a moron. As a matter of fact, I can’t stand any of them. These shows are getting extremely BORING.

  33. cusi77 says:

*Raise your hand who cares if Melissa was a stripper*… Neither do I!

I don’t care if Melissa, Jacqueline, Caroline or Ramona were strippers! I don’t even care if The Pope or Mother Teresa were Strippers!

    What Jacqueline is shouting about?
