Dina Manzo Stressed Out? / Real Housewives of Miami Blogs Blogged / Walking Dead Review

Housewife News by NoMoreDrama

What is going on with Dina Manzo?  Dina Manzo has never been the most – um – stable of the Laurita offspring.  At times she’s shown downright strange behavior on twitter – and has been the subject of numerous blogs over the years.  Beginning about a year ago she declared public support for Team Teresa and we learned that she no longer spoke to sister Caroline Manzo.   Both Caroline and sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita have expressed frustration that Dina filmed with Teresa and supported her on camera – and has continued to support her off-camera by attending various events for Teresa such as Adriana’s birthday party.  In all fairness, Adriana is Dina’s god-daughter – so she may not be attending events to mess with Caroline – she might actually be going to support the little girl.  Anyway, whether it’s the drama in Jersey that’s getting to her – or something else – she seems a little stressed out.  She’s tweeted a few strange things over the last few days.

This first tweet was after her brother Anthony joined twitter, and asked all of his family to follow him.  Dina and Jaime were the last to hit that follow button.  Reading through Anthony’s tweets – I think he may have just meant everyone else had already clicked that follow button when he said “everyone else is on board”.  He struck me as pretty excited about being on twitter – that’s all.  Dina’s response was a little strange.

Then a little later she expressed more frustration.

And then a few days later these ones ….

I’m sensing that we’ll be hearing about what’s bugging her soon.

Ana Quincoces took to twitter today to retweet this tweet that was sent to her by her daughters.  It appears to be an attempt to show that she couldn’t possibly be interested in Karent’s boyfriend since she’s got a man of her own.   “Unemployed telenovela star vs. Former US Attorney?”  I find it strange that she thinks we believe she’d be after Karent’s fake boyfriend.  Either he’s a player or he’s an actor playing a part on the show – but it would be hard to believe that Ana would chase after him.

Meanwhile Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Lisa Hochstein were at the Guria Swimwear fashion show chatting in the front row.  After the show they were photographed with Milliondollar Matchmaker Patti Stranger, who made an unfortunate fashion choice for the event.

After the swimwear show, Adriana and Lisa walked the catwalk for the Red Dress Campaign.

See more photos here  in the daily mail.

Dance Moms Fans?  Maddie and Chloe have a new charm bracelet product line.  Those of you with young Dance Moms fans in your house might want to look into this.  With little charms like Team Maddie, Team Chloe, LOL, OMG – it could be a cute gift for a young girl.  See the jewelry line at glitzy girl here: http://www.theglitzygirl.com/  OMG they have  adult sizes too! LOL

Is Melissa’s new single “I Just Wanna” inspired by Teresa.  Yes probably according to a rumorfix article by Real Mr. Housewife.  Read it here

Lisa Hochstein

This episode opens with Romain and Marta having a heart to heart at the scene of the crime after being encouraged by Joanna, who just wants peace between the people she loves most. Romain explains that he only wants the best for Marta, but expresses his frustration that her work ethic and initiative is not meeting his expectations. I get the feeling that he may view Marta as a third heel and wants Joanna to himself.

Well Romain very well may be a heel but I think Marta is sweet.

Next up Rodolfo seems irritated about Karent’s concern with the other ladies’ disapproval of her and her behavior. I think he would prefer if Karent didn’t let it bother her, but I think her innocent nature finds it hard to comprehend why anyone would think she was being malicious or annoying in any way.

Malicious?… maybe not.  Annoying?… you bet your sweet bippy.

I invited all the ladies to the annual Hearts and Stars Gala at George Walner’s home to benefit The Little Lighthouse Foundation…

It was a really fun night for me, but I can’t say the same for the rest of the ladies. Everyone’s feathers were ruffled by Karent’s interaction with Thomas Kramer, who happens to be a dear friend of me and Lenny. It almost seemed like a competition over who was better acquainted with Thomas. I personally did not see the big deal or find it inappropriate that Karent was inserting herself into the irritated clique that clearly did not appreciate her keen interest in her dear friend.

It must be a love is blind kinda thing because I thought Karent’s behavior was ridiculous and made her appear desperate and insecure.

Everyone was formally introduced to the other loves of my life Puff (boxer) and Leo (Pomeranian). Currently these are my children. They do everything with me and Lenny, including sleeping in our bed. Some people may find that gross, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They are groomed weekly, and if they can’t get an appointment, Daysy and I get down and dirty. Can’t have smelly dogs sleeping in the bed!

Tell that to some of the RHoNJ housewives.

Then Karent get called out as a wanna be and annoying, which I completely disagree with. She is a successful business woman and doctor, who is just being herself, and in my opinion she’s very likeable. I immediately connected with Karent from the moment I met her. I thought she was genuine and I was impressed by how successful she was on her own.

Just because she’s a successful business woman and doctor doesn’t mean she’s not annoying as hell.  As sickeningly nice as she comes across at times spells p-h-o-n-y.

Lastly, I found it very unnecessary that Ana and Alexia were poking fun at Karent’s name and suggesting she drop the “T”. I mean, that’s her name for heaven’s sake! Maybe Joanna, Alexia, Lea, Adriana, Ana, and I should drop the “A” and Marysol the “sol”?

Isn’t Lisa the one that’s always worrying about others taking things too seriously?

Marysol Patton

It’s really quite simple.  She’s glad everyone saw Mama Elsa’s moves… She’s sick of Lea spewing lies… She thinks Karent is annoying… Adriana cracks her up.

Joanna Krupa

When Marta told me she wanted to move out, it made me emotional because we have lived together since we were little. When Romain came into this relationship, he also adopted a family. My mom and sister both live with me in Los Angeles and Marta stays with us whenever she wants when I am in Miami. He never really had the option to have a problem with it, because I never asked him, but that is what I love about him; he has never had any issues with my family living with us and me being so close to them. To be honest, if it was the other way around and his mom and brother lived with us, I don’t know if I would be OK with it haha! But let’s just thank god that’s not the situation.

It’s interesting to see such a different family dynamic in Miami.

I don’t have to worry about that, but I do worry about Marta and Romain finding peace with each other eventually. Marta moving out will give us the space we need to work on our own relationship and move forward from here and be happy like we used to be. Marta has good intuition, so I am hoping she is right about this decision.

I’d worry more about you and Romain finding peace with each other.

Poor, poor Karent! How did she become a “wannabe?” I’m confused as to why Adriana said that. If anyone is a wannabe here, it’s Adriana. Posing topless in a pool for a gallery shoot which never got used anyway and was the smallest photo in the gallery? Come on. Karent is a wonderful dentist and has celebrity friends, so why not have a publicist to help her network and meet new people for her business? I think Adriana and some of the other girls are just jealous of her success and beauty –- not to mention she did this all on her own without a man’s help. The others just can’t get over it. There is a reason why Karent is successful and has what she has. People need to stop hating, because they only look bad in the process. They should respect that she had so much success as a gorgeous woman and leave her and her relationship alone. If she wants to find out if he’s cheating or not, she will do the digging herself and eventually the truth will come out. But some of these women are not her true friends, and it’s getting a bit old talking about it over and over again. Karent seems to be happy with the way her relationship is going, and it’s her decision what she wants to do and no one else’s.  I just wish Karent would put these women in their place and stand up for herself, because otherwise I will have to stand up for my friend soon!

Why does a beautiful, successful woman get to behave poorly and have it excused away as others being jealous?  It’s obvious Adriana recommended her for the show… why would she have done that if she was jealous of her?

And why are the girls fighting over who should be invited to Thomas Kramer’s like he’s Obama or something? Obviously some of these women are not busy enough in their everyday life and find the pettiest things to argue about rather than focusing on the real reason we are at the Hearts and Stars Gala — CHARITY!

I didn’t see anyone fighting over an invitation but I did see Karent as rude and childish.  Or am I just jealous?

Lea Black

Up until now I’ve heard for weeks on the show and seen in the blogs that Lisa has made several comments about how I snub and disregard her continually. But I have never had or said anything against her, so I am not sure where this is coming from. I hugged her the first time I met her at Smith and Wollensky and the second time I met her at my home. The charity has about thirty volunteers, so I don’t always get to call them all personally for every meeting, but she should also know that I don’t just invite anyone into my home, so the fact that I invited her says a lot. I had no idea how important that personal phone call was to Lisa. Or that a quick hello and a hug to someone I met for the first time in a crowd of 500 plus people would become “snubgate.” I adore you, Lisa. End of story.

I didn’t think it was a snub either.  Lisa’s being a bit too sensitive about it.

Up to this point in the show, the only person I have said anything negative about is Karent, where I have joked about her nonstop chatter. (And the hilarious joke about why she’s a dentist — you have to admit that was harmless humor!) If you notice, I don’t chime in with any of the group chatter about Karent; you know where the people that don’t like to gossip gossip? You will see how my relationship with Karent plays out later, and I think you will be surprised. Before now, have I ever said negative things about people in my blogs? Go back and read them. You will see that it’s been in response to things said about me.

We know, Lea’s jealous of Karent.  I wonder if Lea knows that.

Have I made a few jokes? Yes. Speaking of bad jokes, I have always known Felipe did not need a green card. The first time I met him, he told me he had a catering company in the U.S. for fourteen years. If I thought he really needed a green card, I obviously wouldn’t have called attention to it. We have laughed about it since many times.  It’s sort of a Miami joke. Marysol acknowledged on the reunion show last year that she knew it was just my sense of humor. Even though I prefaced it as “this is a joke, I hope you will laugh,” it didn’t work out that way. So if this joke or any of my other jokes ever offend anyone, just know they aren’t meant to. I’ve made plenty of jokes about myself and poked fun at myself along the way too.  This season alone I’ve been poked fun at, shot down, mocked, ridiculed, criticized, backstabbed, gossip fodder for the gossip addicted, and falsely and wrongly accused ad nauseum — you don’t see me acting like a victim. But you do see me laughing a lot! I even think my laugh is funny, hahahahaha!

IT WAS A JOKE!  Get it?  Honestly, I’ve had enough of some people not being able to take a damn, friggin’ joke.

Things to think about this week:

Powerful people never give their power away, they own it. They aren’t “poor me.”
You can make something out of nothing if you talk about it enough.
Backstabbing is embarrassing.
Sneaky is not becoming.
Two-faced always shows its ugly face.
A sense of humor should be a goal.
Laughing at yourself can be fun.
Put your energy into good and truth.
There can only be one Switzerland.
You can’t be everything to everybody all the time.
Let the facts, not your agenda, define the truth.
And don’t deal with stupid!

I’ll let this speak for itself.

Adriana DeMoura

This week we are really feeling the rush of Miami and the drama that comes with it! Joanna loves to stir the pot! As usual she misses the point and never seems to understand the issues.

I’ll save everyone the pain: Issue One… Joanna shouldn’t blame Adriana for what’s wrong in her relationship.  Issue Two… Joanna stirred the pot by calling Karent and warning her about Adriana’s intentions of talking to her at the party.  Issue Three… Joanna treats her sister, Marta, like a maid.  She feels sorry for Marta.

Overall, just another night in Miami. And amidst quarrels and the many karats of rubies and emeralds, I still managed to have fun dancing with the girls!

Adriana had fun… that’s all that matters.

Ana Quincoces

“The boredom occasioned by too much restraint is always preferable to that produced by uncontrolled enthusiasm.” -Osbert Lancaster

The real housewives motto… hahahaha

So what have we learned after this fifth week in reality land? That drama and restraint make strange bedfellows. That reality begets drama and that much of the real conflict, perceived conflict, and impending conflict could be avoided by exercising a little, you guessed it, restraint. But if we all exercised anything but unbridled enthusiasm, would you still tune in?

Probably not which is why it’s actually not a good motto for the real housewives.

I have never been one to defend my words or actions.  I am quite comfortable with how things have played out so far because “at the end of the day” it’s reality: mine, theirs, and yes, even yours. And as I have painfully discovered, the camera does not lie. If you choose to spend any part of your Thursday nights with me, know that you are sharing it with the most authentic version of me. I don’t play up or “down play” any particular situation. My reactions are as uncensored and unfiltered as they are in my everyday life, and just like in my everyday life, if I deem that my behavior requires that I apologize for it, I will.

I wonder if the housewives get a bonus for insisting what we’re seeing is actually unbridled reality.

The Hearts and Stars Gala was a great event, and I am glad that Lisa is doing her part for this charitable organization as well as others. Lisa is a very generous person, and I am happy to see her giving back to the community. To call what Lisa is doing “cute” is to give it less credence than it deserves, but that’s just me. Lea has the uncanny ability to make an “innocent comment” sound like a dig. Even when she claims something is a “joke” it is always so gratuitously hurtful (i.e. greencard) that it is impossible to join in her borderline sinister/hysterical laughter. The sheer number of insults disguised as jokes that she follows with “uproarious laughter” as someone recently commented, is off putting in every way. If you study Lea closely, you will see that at one point or another she mocks and belittles everyone (even those who she has now decided are weak enough to be allies).  She plays all sides against the middle, and she does it rather brilliantly — I’ll give her that. As the season progresses you will see that her relationships are in a constant state of evolution; note that I am not one of the pawns in her elaborate socialite chess game.  I am merely a mildly amused observer. Checkmate.

Was it a passive aggressive remark or a joke?  That’s the question (and always seems to be the question).

I was noticeably uneasy at the gala. The Rodolfo/Karent situation has escalated far beyond what is necessary and having to partake in an evening with them was quite uncomfortable. Because of this, I made every effort to avoid eye contact, physical proximity, and ultimately conflict with either one of them. It is unfortunate that Karent behaves in such an overzealous manner.  Be it in her personal life with Rodolfo and the reptilian PDA with which she convinces everyone that they are a couple, or with friends like Thomas Kramer, who despite Karent’s personal claim, acknowledges that he has been friends with the other ladies for decades. Her behavior always seems desperate and exaggerated, not unlike that of the protagonist in a real life telenovela.  Frankly, I don’t know this TK guy from a hole in the wall, and I can’t say I care to; but apparently it is imperative to Karent that we all know that they are “dear friends,” that he “wishes he could date her,” and that there is a lot of photographic evidence regarding the same. OK, noted.  LOUD AND CLEAR.

There was NOTHING wrong with Karent’s behavior!! Ana must be jealous.

“Facebook stalking” with my girls was all in good fun, but just for the record: I disagree with the “one boob bigger” comment. In fact, Karent’s boobs look pretty normal to me.  I always tell my girls that they DO NOT need to express every single random thought they have out loud. I especially have a problem with discussing physical characteristics or flaws because A) no one is perfect (especially me) and B) it is tacky. But it is hard to encourage girls to be independent thinkers and then attempt to sensor what they say. So like every other mom on the planet, I have accepted that there is no instruction manual for parenting and I continue to do the best I can with the experience I’ve acquired. My current plan is to convince them that restraint is the new black.

While I hate to end this blog with something as trivial as the symmetry of breasts, I have learned to recognize when a healthy dose of restraint is in order.

There are some that would say that symmetrical breasts are not boring but IMO restraining them is probably a good idea.

Karent Sierra

Rodolfo arrives from one of his many trips. He always likes to act like a clown, but I must admit that he had a valid point — I have always been a people pleaser and I have tried to go out of my way to be nice to everyone. I need to realize that people will love you or hate you just because. I need to not let it affect me and just be true to myself. I am so grateful for the wonderful friends that I have, and as for those who just want to criticize or bring negative energy, well, then they can turn around and leave the same way they came in. I have maintained some of my closest friendships for more than 25 years, and I also have made some amazing new ones recently. This must mean I am doing something right. Doesn’t it?

Well if you have to ask…

Marysol seems to want to have a competition as to who knows Thomas Kramer the longest. How old is she now, really? I have been Thomas’ friend for over 15 years and that is the reason I decided to host a dinner for all the ladies at his house. His home is very large and definitely never boring! And since he offered his house, I said why not?

I don’t know how old Marysol is but I do know she’s known Thomas Kramer longer.  This Thomas Kramer person must be really important.

I have many patients that come to my office because they want to, not necessarily because they have to. Cosmetic dentistry is similar to plastic surgery in that people willingly come see you, because they want to improve their appearance and at the same time their self-esteem. I love what I do, not only because I am able to improve their oral health, but because seeing my patients smile for the first time after I have completed their smile makeover and hearing their appreciation and positive comments makes me happy that I was able to help in some way. We became friends after I worked on his mouth. I specialize in cosmetic dentistry, and I had done full-mouth porcelain veneers on him. He obviously loves his teeth, because he can’t stop smiling!

You ARE special.  I never WANT to see my dentist and I never became his friend either.

My mom couldn’t attend the event that night, and since she is also friends with Thomas, she had asked me to take a picture with him and send it to her, so I did.

Sure she did.

Once again Ana can’t seem to find anything important in her own life, so she continuously focuses on mine. I must say, I am flattered that I am so important in her life. Just because I am friends with some celebrities, doesn’t make me a “celebrity stalker,” like she calls it. Ana’s jealousy truly gets the best of her, and she can only criticize and say negative comments. I believe in “The Laws of Attraction” discussed in the book, The Secret. It talks about the energy you emit is what you will attract in your life. What a great birthday or Christmas present for Ana, don’t you think?

There’s that J word again.

As I was watching Lea’s tasting at the Fontainebleau, I realized that Marysol needs to own up to her mistakes and deficiencies. Lea’s event is for a wonderful charitable cause, and if she made a mistake, then own up to it. Hey, we are all human and allowed to err, but just recognize and rectify, don’t pass the buck.

I really appreciate Joanna’s friendship and that she tried to clarify things with Adriana, but it seems that Adriana’s negativity will only allow her to see things the way she wants to.

As for Lisa, I so enjoy seeing her interact with Daysy and her dogs. What can I tell you about her besides that I love her!?

And the teams have been formed.

Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 Review by Bluesky1forever

Walking Dead Season I

Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes and his partner Shane are called over their police radio to aid in the capture of a speeding vehicle. They place a spike strip on the highway. Here comes the speeding vehicle with some bad dudes looking to outrun the law. As their muscle car tires hit the nails, the vehicle spins out of control, rolling over and finally landing on its side. Rick & Shane are at the scene, approaching the wreck with guns drawn. Two other cop cars in pursuit screech to a halt, the cops inside exiting with guns drawn, taking cover behind their car doors. Rick recklessly approaches the crashed car, shouting at the driver who is crawling out of the window.  Suddenly he fires his gun….Rick is hit but his Kevlar vest protects him. The other officers start firing, killing the driver. Rick thinks it’s okay to keep approaching….but another badass dude crawls out of the crashed up car, on the other side, and he starts firing his weapon, hitting Rick in the side. Shane screams at the other cops to call an ambulance.  Shane runs to aid Rick, who has lost consciousness.

Rick is now in a coma in the hospital. In just a few days, all hell will break loose while Rick is still lying in his hospital bed. The flowers on the table next to the bed have completely dried out. As Rick suddenly awakens, he is in a panic, pulling out the tubes in his arm and chest. He calls for Shane, but there is a foreboding silence in the room. Rick falls out of the hospital bed, dizzy and off balance. He struggles to the door, which he has trouble opening. As he pushes a gurney out of the way, we see a corridor littered with hospital equipment, overturned and in disarray, a dead nurse on the floor. Rick stumbles towards a door. There is blood spattered on the wall. He hears growling and scratching sounds from another double door that is padlocked. Wisely, but with a horrified look, he goes in the opposite direction. Rick makes his way to a staircase, stumbles down a couple of flights, and then opens a door to a horrific scene outside. Hundreds of dead bodies are piled up in neat rows, with white sheets covering them. As the camera pans away, we see a crashed helicopter,  dead soldiers in green fatigues crumpled at their posts, and off in the distance, a woman with her lower body gone crawls in the grass. It is a scene that Rick cannot comprehend. He knows something terrible has happened, but what?

This is how “Walking Dead” begins. The first episode is as good as a movie, you will not be disappointed if you watch it. Rick now has to find out what has happened to his wife and young son. He must dodge the “walkers” as they try to attack him. He doesn’t know what has happened. He finds his house deserted. While he is outside, a young boy hits him with a shovel. Rick falls to the ground as the boys father shouts at him, realizing that Rick is not a walker. The man saves Rick from another walker, then takes him to his barricaded house. Here Rick finds out about the horror the world has become. He thinks his wife & son have survived, and he plans on looking for them.

The next episodes show what happens to Rick as he searches for his family, finds other survivors and tries to make sense out of a world that has lost all reason. It is a fight to survive, to find food, to find a safe place from the walkers. Netflix has the first season, or you may be able to get it at your local library.  I don’t want to give too much away, it’s a well done show and worth watching. Season 3 will be starting on AMC October 14. You can find more information here

You can watch on netflix.com or get a free trial on huluplus & catch up:

Walking Dead Short Summary of Season II

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that wants to catch up on Season I & II, so this will just be a quick synopsis.

Season I left off with Rick, his wife, son and the other survivors in Atlanta. They have discovered that the Center for Disease Control can’t help them. You will be on the edge of your seat watching what happens at the CDC, so enough said about that.

Back on the road again outside Atlanta, our brave survivors are taking one day at a time. The little girl in the group gets lost in the woods. Always a bad idea…she is on her own.  Then Rick’s son gets shot. There’s a man in the woods hunting deer, and by accident shoots him. Panic abounds….so now Rick is running in desperation, carrying his son, following the hunter to a farm. The farm is owned by a vet, and there is a small group of survivors on the farm. They have been getting provisions from a nearby town. Now the vet needs antibiotics and other things from the town, to save Rick’s son. Shane volunteers to go to town with the hunter to bring back the supplies. You must watch what happens, as this is gripping. Will the little girl ever be found?  A lot of things happen on the farm. It almost is a happy time, but there is always a walker (or survivors with bad intentions) lurking around, making survival so hard for Rick’s group & the Vet’s family & friends. You will not be disappointed if you watch Season I & II. But you don’t have to have seen any of the previous episodes to enjoy this show. Go ahead and watch or dvr Sunday night, you will not be sorry.

Season III will begin as our group of survivors have left the farm, and find themselves truly in a dangerous position. But they see a prison. Will the prison offer them safety? Isn’t it ironic that the prison, meant to keep us safe from the “bad guys” is now a place where our survivors might find safety.   A helicoptor flies over head. Who is out there to help our brave survivors? Check out the teaser film for episode 1, Season III here

And watch “After Dead” the talk show that examines what is going on in the show. They have actors, writers, etc. talking about the series. Walking Dead is a very well done show, it’s well worth your time to watch!

i dont care what Ana wants us to believe or not i find her to be the most obnoxious new housewife of all time that one time she was on wwhl she was horriable ,disgusting ripping her cast mates apart and teh way her daughters talk on the show makes me wanna gag

  2. djloopsfruit says:

lisa’s funny she has no idea how annoying she is LOL

  3. djloopsfruit says:

Joanna is the only on i actually like now

    • I like Marysol still. I sort of feel sorry for her though.

      • djloopsfruit says:

i do but something tells me she isnt telling the truth about Leas last event that she worked on Love Mama Elsa more though

      • Powell says:

Marysol doesn’t like drama and sticks up for herself. I like her a lot.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I like Marysol a lot too, and I, of course, LOVE Mama Elsa!

          • LaineyLainey says:

Me too!! Marysol, so far, seems very classy to me. Mama Elsa’s spirit…no words. It’s rare to sense someone’s spirit before you assess the physical. I’m not saying she’s some kind of holy being, but she does have an otherwordly quality imo.

            • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Yes! “Otherworldly” is a PERFECT way to describe Mama Elsa (and it has nothing to do with her jacked-up plastic surgery. I feel so sorry for her when it comes to that. She was once a very beautiful woman).

              • LaineyLainey says:

But I think the reason she is so likeable why her spirit touches others, is that she doesn’t exude self-pity. She says (loosely quoting): ” I was pretty when I needed to be beautiful and now I’m almost 80 and it doesn’t matter what I look like…”

    • Powell says:

Joanna is a drama queen model.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I’m on the fence with Joanna. I have not decided if I like or do NOT like her yet. So, I’m neutral at this point.

She does strike me as a bit of a drama queen. Her meltdown at Mynt and her subsequent conversation with Romain on the beach discussing that and her other alcohol-induced meltdowns/scene-causing behavior indicate that she may have a problem with alcohol.

I do think she is very beautiful, and I like that she is so protective over Marta.

        • LaineyLainey says:

She IS so beautiful. Her relationship with her sister is very old school. You don’t see a lot of that nowadays. It makes me wonder what they went through together to make them so close, to make Joanna so protective. A little separate time would do them both some good. Marta could grow up and feel more competent without the aid of her sis and Joanna might stop leaning so much on Marta and maybe lean more on the gorgeous and sexy Romain to establish more non-sexual intimacy between them.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Remember Our Man Flynn from a year ago?

Because of the adoption of the Gregorian calendar, this day does not exist in 1582 .
    But it does in 2011!

The following are events that share your special day:

1973 – In Bangkok, Thailand, the democracy movement gained the blessing of the King for a transition to full democracy.

2011 – Pam Wilkey’s son, John Cayden Flynn, congratulated the monarch of Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, for his 65 year reign. In Thai, of course.

After the event, Pam served Thai spring rolls while wearing a Chanel suit at $5000, a Hermes Burkin bag at $32,000, a Pandora bracelet at $3000, Louboutin shoes at $2000….

1884 – The American inventor, George Eastman, receives a U.S. Government patent on his new paper-strip photographic film.

2011 – Shares of Eastman Kodak stock plummet 54 percent amid strong speculation of bankruptcy.

2011 – Jill Zarin tweets Antonio M. Perez, Chairman and CEO of Kodak, “Tony DM me I can help get company on right track!”

  7. Good Morning Darling Peeps!
I have not been feeling well this weekend, so I am going back to bed for a bit and will be back later to catch up.

Just wanted you to know there is a new post, etc. today.

Love to you all…see you later! 🙂

Dina tweet, is that the Anthony that would not let Caroline come to his sons funeral.

    • Powell says:

Dang is Caroline burning all her bridges? Not even invited to the funeral! Wow.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

No, that brother’s name was Joseph. oseph is the one who was partners with Chris. He and his wife don’t speak to Caroline. It’s so weird because if you read the obit, they didn’t even mention the paternal (Laurita) grandparents, just the maternal ones. Also, they only mention 2 or 3 of the Laurita siblings (Jaime, Anthony and one of the sisters, I think). Seems like Joseph is on the outs with a lot of his family.

That whole family has so much drama, family members not speaking, internal rifts, that it’s amazing to me how judgemental Caroline has the nerve to be regarding Teresa and Joe Gorga!

      • RealHousewifeVA says:

I just looked up more info and apparently Dina and Caroline, as well as other family members, have not been on speaking terms with Joseph or his wife for over a decade.

        • Birdwoman says:

Wow, that is sad. 😦 Though, my friend’s Grandmother did not talk to her brother for over 50 years and died never reconciling.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

This is going to sound odd, but my maternal grandmother was disowned by her father for marrying my maternal grandfather because he was “too dark-skinned.” Never mind that, according to LA law and everybody in the surrounding area’s knowledge, my maternal great-grandfather was still considered “Black.” His father was German, and his mother was a Black woman that looked white. So, he looked like a White man (Blonde hair. Blue Eyes.).

My maternal grandfather had ice blue eyes, but he was very brown-skinned. This was totally unacceptable to my maternal great-grandfather, and he forbade the marriage. He told my grandmother that if she married my grandfather, he would NEVER speak to her again.

My maternal grandmother married my grandfather ANYWAY and told her father to “shove it” (I think her telling him this may ALSO have had something to do with the fact that he left his wife, my maternal great-grandmother, while she was dying with leukemia, and ran off to California [so he could “pass” and live fully as a White man] with, not only my great-grandmother’s next-door neighbor, but her good friend. He left her with 13 kids, many of whom, because my maternal grandmother was the oldest, ended up raising after he mother’s death).

She never spoke to her father again for YEARS (I think it was something like 25-30 years) until she received word that he was back in Louisiana and dying. She had had all 7 of her children (his grandchildren) by that time. So, she went to him when he was on his deathbed to see him. My Aunt says she remembers my grandmother walking each of her children in to see him, one-by-one-, so she could introduce each of them to him. He supposedly apologized to my grandmother and asked for her forgiveness (I guess because he was scared he might go to Hell if he did not), which she gave to him.

Then he died. Isn’t that a sad story on HIS part? He may have been a drop-dead gorgeous (according to ALL older relatives on my Mom’s side. They say he looked like a blonde, blue-eyed Errol Flynn) man on the outside, but he was a horrible person on the inside.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I need some money. Maybe I’ll do a screenplay and send it off to Hollywood (although I’m sure it’s a story that’s been told before).

I’ve got LOTS more. One of them involves this same grandmother. There is a PPG Plant here in Lake Charles, LA. Several of my grandmother’s siblings (brothers AND sisters) were hired to work there. All of them made excellent employees, according to PPG, and each of them was getting promotions and moving up the ranks. They were never asked what their race was when they were hired. They did look White. So, I guess the PPG interviewers thought they were. Well, one day, someone called PPG and said, “Do you realize you have a bunch of N-words working at your plant?” This person then gave all of their names to PPG. They were then all fired for “lying” to PPG. Their response was, “We did not LIE about anything. You never ASKED us what race we were. We cannot help how we look.”

They were so FED UP with the B.S., that the entire group of them decided they wanted a better life, and they were no longer going to put up with being discriminated against and being paid lower wages.

So, they moved to California and “passed” into the White world. A couple of them started a boilermaker company that made them very wealthy. Another one of my uncles had some type of clothing manufacturing company that made him wealthy enough to have a private plane, a beautiful, blonde, socialite wife (I wonder what she would have done if she knew “the truth”), a beautiful home in CA and a beautiful home in the Hamptons.

They kept in touch with my grandmother and her siblings that chose to remain in LA mainly via letters and phone calls, but their visits back to see them were few and far between because they did not want their children (who they NEVER told the truth about their classified race) to find out the truth.

Eventually, some of their children, when they got to be adults, came down to LA and found their family anyway because they wanted to meet them. They were VERY nice (I met them). It was a little awkward and funny after one of my uncles and his wife left, though. This uncle married a dark-skinned Black woman, and they’d been married about 25-30 years by the time these “CA cousins” came to visit. After this uncle and his wife left, the “CA cousins” talked about how WONDERFUL it was that an interracial couple in the South managed to remain married so long. They also talked about the COURAGE it must have taken for them to marry each other. They were VERY LIBERAL and totally against racism because their parents has raised them to be (Well, I should HOPE so!!).

The room just got very quiet and nobody said anything because the LA faction of the family decided that they would not judge the older CA faction for their decision to “pass.” They also did not reveal “the secret” out of loyalty to the older CA faction because they understood their reasons for wanting a better life.

                • LaineyLainey says:

What makes your experience unique – in the movies/stories – is the Louisiana perspective. You’ve talked before about how the light-skinned women came to be in Louisiana and how that population became it’s own social group,…etc. It’s very interesting, Detox. Carole Radzi says it’s like having a baby – writing a book – but first putting the idea down is such a hurdle. I’ve wanted to write down my recipes for my kids and it’s easier than it sounds.

you’re lucky to have those family stories and they’re fascinating.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Lainey, here are a couple of links to stories about one of my cousins on my FATHER’s side that made national headlines and went all the way up to the LA Supreme Court. I do not have the same last name as this cousin, but my father’s family is one of the descendants of the 4 children of a slave by the name of Marguerite (also called “Margarita” in the Court Case connected to her because LA had been transferred from French to Spanish Rule. The Spanish Courts chose to call her by the Spanish version of her name. She had NO last name because, uh DUHHHH, she was a slave) and a White man by the name of Joseph Gregoire-Guillory.

He was married to a White woman and had 8 children with her. After her death, he had 4 children with his slave, Marguerite. He had a document drawn up declaring that, upon his death, she and their 4 children would become free. Well, after he died, his White children disputed the document and went to Court to have Marguerite and her 4 children (Their 4 1/2-siblings) placed back into slavery.

Marguerite, even though she could not even read and write, FOUGHT the case all the way up the highest court for LA, which was in Cuba at that time (due to Spanish rule of LA. This was all before LA was purchased by the U.S.).

She WON, and she and her 4 children (and all of their descendants) were declared FREE. Her descendants ended up becoming wealthy landholders who owned large portions of land from Opelousas, LA all the way up to the State of Texas.

My cousin, Susie Guillory-Phipps, when she went with her (White) husband to get her passport, CLAIMED that it was the FIRST time she realized she was considered “Colored/Black” (LIE, Susie knew. In connection to the Court case, attorneys went to the area where she grew up and questioned the townfolk about Susie and her family. They said that Susie and her family had always been considered and were known to be “Black.”). So, she fought to have her race changed from “Black” to “White” and challenged the 1/32 drop (of Black blood) law in LA.

She lost. Many of my family members claim that Susie went to all this trouble because she had NEGLECTED to tell her husband (who, in pictures, looks like he would be QUITE comfortable at a KKK rally) the truth. Many of them also went around saying, “Susie is SUCH a DUMMY!! She went to ALL that trouble to try to hide the truth, and now EVERYBODY across the nation knows she’s Black! That’s what she GETS!! How DARE she not be proud of and claim Marguerite!!”

                  • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I just might. I’ve got so many. My much-older cousin went from being a truck driver to the first African-American head of the Teamsters’ Union in New Orleans. I had no idea what that meant until I moved there and visited with him. I met him at his office, and he took me to N.O. City Hall and other N.O. landmarks. People damned near genuflected and kissed his ring. He told me he could take me for a ride on his plane, but I declined (b/c I don’t “do” what I call “crop dusters”).

I asked my Dad, “Daddy, how did Cousin [BLANK] go from being a simple truck driver the first Black President of the N.O. Teamsters? My Dad said, “Because he has what our family possesses in abundance?” I said, “What’s that?” He said, “A lotta g*dd*mned NERVE!!”

Once I went to some bar/club owned by people with an Italian last name. One of the owners told me I looked like I could be related to (cousin/head of the Teamsters). I told him I was. Well, he damned near kissed my ring and gave me a list of Italian-owned places to go to in N.O. He told me to make sure to tell them who my cousin was, and I’d always get 1st class treatment.

                    So, I did.

How the hell was I supposed to know that many of these places were run by the LA/N.O. faction of “The Mob”? They loved my cousin (who was like an uncle), and they treated ME very well. I didn’t find that out until MUCH later.

He’s retired now and moved back to Opelousas (the “country”) to fulfill his retirement dream of breeding racehorses.

Sorry I did but I didn’t link it b/c I always have bad luck posting links. lol. You google “Frankie Laurita obit” and then stoopidhousewives had the info of Dina and Caroline being on the outs with him for a decade.

            • rabblerouser2010R says:

I always wonder what the deal is in these types of things…..I think that Teresa is friends with Dina and seems to care about Nettie is the only reason she isn’t talking about the deal with that. Not to mention Joe would probably tell her to ‘shut up and mind her business.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

You just know Joe WOULD! At the beginning of the season, Albert and Chris — in much nicer ways, of course — were both telling Caroline and Jac to mind their own business too. Somehow, as the season went on, it’s like that changed (Albert didn’t tell Caroline to shut up in NAPA. Chris didn’t stop much of Jac’s foolishness as the season went on either).

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Considering that background of family strife, Caroline’s judgment of Teresa and her situation with Joey is incredibly hypocritical. I think the excuse Caroline has mentioned before is something like, “Well, there are 11 of us. So, of course, it is more likely that we will have disagreements, etc.” I think that is B.S. She should consider that, since Teresa and Joey only have each other as siblings, it would be best for her to refrain from inserting herself into their turmoil and to refrain from, at times, making it even worse.

Can’t wait to find out what is making Dina Manzo crazy. Maybe after the Part 3 of the reunion she will spill the beans.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I’m wondering about what is going on with Dina too. Who is bullying her?

      • Called A Princess... says:

Caroline Manzo wants to control her sister by any means. She would probably use any number of people to do it. Caroline is a backroom dumpster diver that only reveals herself after the poison has taken affect and her audience is properly seated. Dina has had to deal with this behavior most of her life. She is probably really sick of it. For Caroline it is like a spider playing with the prey caught in her web. The web being the extended Laurita/Manzo super fambly. JMHO.

Blue I have seen the promos of The Walking Dead. They are so good! You’re right. Another exciting Sunday night for TV. 🙂

  16. NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

Here’s a question for you all maybe in the know: Recently I was reading something about the Jersey reunion and it was mentioned that due to commenter research, the basic reason for the Dina/Caroline feud has to do with the fact that the Ladybug charity was actually started by all the Laurita sisters, but when the Jersey housewife show started, Dina took the credit for it, which set Caroline off. Then when Jacqueline took Caroline’s side, that caused bad feelings between Jac and Dina as well.

Does any of this sound plausible? Anyone else heard this as well?

    • Powell says:

I hadn’t heard this but it wouldn’t surprise me. If it’s true why wouldn’t the sisters just fight it out on the show? I listen to a radio show. A lady called in for advice on her sisters starting a foundation together. The radio said it’s not a good idea cause there would be to many hands stirring the pot. Caroline always likes to think she’s “the Don” as many call her & Dina is very strong. Are there any of the other sisters that are stronger willed than Caroline?

    • Lady Chatterley says:

I recall that there was conflict surrounding the Ladybug charity, but don’t recall what it was.

Looking @Dina’s tweets – I just don’t think there is any particular reason for her acting twitter crazy – this seems to be the norm for her. She attacks and then deletes and posts love and peace messages. I don’t care for her – she rubs me the wrong way – disingenuous.

      • Called A Princess... says:

Dina is temperamental, not a big deal in the reality world. She seems prone to fits of anger in an explosive environment, (the Manzo/Laurita family saga) but she does acknowledge the issue, and retracts which is better then Jax and her tweeter diatribes.

What I have read from more then one source about the Ladybug charity is the Jax was mad at Dina for some reason and spread rumors using the LynnNChicago blog. This caused major problems for Dina at a time when the charity was just taking off. Also it would seem that Caroline uses the unstable issues the Jax has to do her dirty work. Caroline is a coward and a prevaricator and decided to direct Jax to go after her baby sister. All Caroline seems to do on the show is poke Teresa about family, when in truth, she has no room to talk.

I am not sure about the issues surrounding the Ladybug fraud scandal, itself, but I am sure that Jax is a unstable gossip, that should rarely be trusted because she has proven to be troublesome and untrustworthy in her attempts to sully Teresa on a national level. Dina was the best friend of the women Chris was to marry before Jax became with child. Jax has no credibility. To say she is treacherous and deranged would be somewhat polite. Her game seems to be about causing great damage, to the lives of others. IMO.

        • LaineyLainey says:

In complete agreement with this comment, CAP. And, I learned a new word: prevaricator. I thank you!

          • Called A Princess... says:

You are very welcome, Lainey. Heard the word first on Law & Order SVU, a few years ago.

          • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

Thanks so much for the additional info. From watching Jac, I totally believe she has major issues. She is a very vindicted lady and I can now see where some of Ashley’s issues came from. She has this sweet demeanor but really can do a person dirty when she feels she has been crossed. Now, I am NO fan of Theresa and think she has done her own damage regarding her family issues but I cringe when Jac goes off. I really hope that Caroline and Jac leave the show. It is getting ridiculous at this point.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

ITA, CAP. Here a couple of links to articles I read this morning, having to do with Jac’s ALLEGED mental instability:

Here’s another one from a blogger who also speaks poorly about Teresa (So it’s not like she’s taking Tre’s side over Jac’s):

          • LaineyLainey says:

The Tamaratattles link…wow, she did not sugar coat it, did she? She said what so many people are thinking. What so many are tiptoeing around.

          • LaineyLainey says:

The other article about having Jac declared mentally incompetent…Oh my gosh, could this be why she has amped up the crazy? Why she remains on twitter?

            • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I’m not sure if she is putting on an act. I think she is SERIOUSLY mentally unstable now.

If she’s not, they need to move to Hollywood because she’s a hell of an actress.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I’ve read this a few places. I’m sure it’s plausible. If Dina took credit for it during Season 1, why couldn’t Caroline have done the same in one of her talking heads (e.g., “Dina spends the majority of her time working with the charity, but I am also a founding member, along with one of our other sisters). Problem solved. I mean, did Dina tell Caroline she was going to shoot her or never speak to her again if she mentioned being a co-founder? Something sounds “off” with that story, IMO.

      • Called A Princess... says:

Detox, I think it comes down to Caroline wanting the show to be about her and her boys and the fambly and their road to success. I have said it before, to be a star in pop culture, it helps if people either 1) perceive you as the underdog, or 2) like you. Caroline has neither of these two things going for her at this time because of her completely blind selfishness and negative persona. JMHO.

      • Powell says:

Detox that’s why I asked the question. It doesn’t make sense not to address it on the show. But Caroline wanted to make like their family was perfect, united S1.

      • Rebecca says:

When the show first started, I looked up Caroline’s website. She had no mention of Project Ladybug. It said she was a real estate investor, there was some page devoted to a clothing line, and something else. If she had anything to do with the charity, there would have been a mention of it.

I hope not! I wish there was more surviving then “drama!” I seriously can care less about who screwed who/who’s hooking up with who etc. I think if there was a situation of constant survival my last thoughts would be hooking up with someone. Other than that I thought the show was good. I will watch tonight’s episode.

      • Powell says:

But Lulu think about it. They are surviving. They don’t know if they will see the next day, they don’t know how they are going to survive. All they have is each other until the next disaster.

        • Part of what is on that video for season 3 (posted below….) is about how the survivors aren’t “human” anymore. They’ve been thru so much, lost all (or most of ) their loved ones, that it’s hard to have any feelings left. They have become like a “special forces” unit, fighting for their lives.

Season 3 is going to be really good. The actors talked about how they didn’t think the writers could keep coming up with episodes that top the previous ones, but they did!

I like Andrea, she was lost in the woods at the end of Season 2 but badass Michonne saves her. Detox, I think Michonne reminds me of you! haha! jk. From what I’ve seen so far in the clip below. Just kidding, but if you had those ninja sword skills, you would be pretty awesome!

I don’t get this last moment to be together thing. Being realistic (TMI!!) Could you make love while knowing at any moment a zombie could kill you?!?!?! 🙂

          • LaineyLainey says:

Is there an Evian bottle involved, then yes. 🙂

          • That reminded me of something awful I saw on Oprah. This woman had survived a big boat full of people sinking (Indonesia? few years back) and most of the people couln’t swim so they drowned. Here she is, trying to keep alive in the water, and some guy (I think she was British or American & the guy was Indonesian) swims up to her, sexually assaults her, and then swims off. Weird right? That that’s all he could think about, getting his rocks off with some poor woman barely surviving in the ocean. Some people are sex obsessed!

            • LaineyLainey says:

OMG, really? I hope the POS that did this to her drowned and is now burning in hell. That rat ba$tard.

      • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

I didn’t really think of it in terms of sex hookups, more the sweet aspect of 2 coming together, like something to live for, hope for, giving Daryl a softer nature and Carole some kind of happiness that she seems to have been missing in a life with a wife abuser and a lost zombie daughter. I just hvae liked their scenes together. In that last zombie attack when the farmhouse was lost, Daryl automatically finds and picks up carole when everything was in chaos.

        • Powell says:

Right NMHousewife. You said it perfectly. 🙂

        • LaineyLainey says:

Yes, that was cool when he pretty much rescues Carole.

        • Lulu says:

NMhousewife My mind is in the gutter 🙂 In a few months there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind what my husband and I did. Now that is on my brain I guess!

I just hope more surviving less pillow talk.

    • Powell says:

******Spoiler Alert******* I don’t think what I’m going to say is a spoiler but I’m going to say it is just in case someone doesn’t want to know this. I thought it last season & yesterday & today watching the marathon that they are going to get together. On the marathon the have talked to the actors, director and behind the scenes people. The actor that plays Darryl said the reason “Darryl” is determined to find Sophia is because he was abused as a kid and felt he had to rescue Sophia.

    • your welcome NMhousewife. My fave is Daryl – the “swamp woodsman.” Remember when he did in a female walker, telling her “oooh you are disgusting aren’t you? I’ll bet you were a skank in your real life too.” Hilarious! Carol is Daryl’s sister-in-law. They have a lot of backstory. Watch this clip from the AMC website, about the cast on season 3….Michonne is badass!

      • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

What? I’ve watched from the beginning and how did I miss the fact that Carole’s abusive husband was also a brother to Daryl and Merle, or is there a different family connection? I just looked up on IMDB and it lists Daryl and Merl’s last name as Dixon and Carole and her hubbie as Ed Peletier. Any help understanding this?

        • Powell says:

From what I understand there were many kids in Darryl & Merle’s family. I believe Darryl was the youngest.

          • princesspindy says:

It’s Darryl, Darryl and his other brother Darryl (Bob Newhart)

            • LaineyLainey says:

ah hahaha!! When my hubby and I lived in Orange County we went to a taping of the Newhart show (the one with Mary Hart). I even found a script and brought it home…but I don’t know what I did with it. I tend to throw stuff away during my weirdo purges.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I used to laugh my head off at that show. I vaguely remember watching his original show, but I do remember watching his 2nd “Newhart Show”. He was so DEADPAN with things, and that was part of what made you laugh.

I remember in one episode, he was interviewing this man wearing a cowboy hats and cowboy boots who was sitting down with this miniature horse/pony.

Bob says: “So, Sir, I see you’ve got here what you call ‘The WORLD’S smallest horse’. That’s pretty amazing. How do you know that he is the WORLD’S smallest?”

The Cowboy says (in a LOUD, very heavy Southern accent): “How do I KNOW? Well, just LOOK at him!!! Doesn’t he look like the world’s smallest horse to you?!”

(I and the audience was dying laughing at this).

Bob just kept this DEADPAN look on his face and said, “You mean, you’ve had no experts to determine this?”

The Cowboy said, “Why in the HEEEEELLLLLLL would I need an expert? All you gotta do is look at the little feller and just TELL he’s the World’s smallest.”

Bob just remained silent and looked dead at the camera with that deadpan expression (as I laughed my head off!).

                • LaineyLainey says:

You have a great memory…and of course I LOL’d while reading this.

                • Powell says:

I watched both the Newhart shows. Last yr The Bob Newhart Show was on The Hallmark channel. I had them on DVR and watched.

        • You are correct NMhousewife! I confused Daryl’s brother with Carole’s abusive husband. The husband gets exactly what he deserves, and Daryl’s brother, well all we know for sure is that his severed hand was found on top of that building. Hmmmm wondering if we will see him again?

          • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

Phew, i felt like i had missed something. I think Merle will show up again, at least I hope cause I’d like to see how Daryl deals with him, not just the hallucinating version.

      • Powell says:

  21. Lulu says:

Thank you for the blogs today NMD and Idon’tbelieveinunicorns! Bluesky1forever great WD recap! Will you be recapping tonight’s episode?

    • Yes, I can’t wait to watch it. Since there’s so many tv shows, I’ll give my recap to NMD later tomorrow. So she can post it after Monday’s “explosive” 😉 NJ episode. Ugghh. Sick of those NJ broads…..and I live in NJ!!

      • ramonacoaster says:

This season from hell seemed to go on forever.

      • Lulu says:

It’s refreshing to jump from “screaming divas” to “flesh eating zombies!” Don’t worry the only NJ’rs that I can’t stand to see Jersey shore, that stupid salon and most of the cast of NJ.

BTW I have to mention this my dinner today was: ALL FRIED 🙂 Fish and chips, calamari and mushrooms. Once in the while besides it’s what the baby wants!!!
        I hate cravings!!!

        • LaineyLainey says:

OK, you mentioned cravings…with my first I craved sour dough bread and apple juice. I gained very little weight. What little I gained, I lost quickly!! With my second, I craved SONIC!!! I limited myself to going to sonic once a week, but when I wasn’t at sonic I was thinking about it, craving it. Oh my gosh, a Sonic commercial is playing now.

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

With my first pregnancy I craved ketchup…and since you need something to go with the ketchup I ate mounds of french fries…MOUNDS!!!! And every night for dessert I had a pint of Haagen Dazs Vanilla ice cream…every night for about 6 month!! I gained nearly 70 lbs and was 197 lbs when I finally had the baby-she was 10 days late! 10 extra pints of ice cream and ten extra mounds of french fries!!! With the second pregnancy I had no cravings and gained about 25 lbs…so much easier to lose 25 compared to 70!!!!!

          • Lulu says:

LOL!!! With my first I craved Mcdonald’s orange juice and coleslaw gained 32. But the last month I was rapidly losing 1 to 2 lbs a week scary but normal. Lost it all in about 6 months.

This one is kimchi and ramen noodles (with I usually despise no idea why I’m craving it now?!?!)

            • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Watch yourself with the ramen noodles-loaded with salt. You do want to be all puffy!!!!! Drink lots of water when you eat them!!!!

  22. princesspindy says:

Even though JOHN FLYNN is a shy one, JOHN FLYNN wants you to know that JOHN FLYNN has not forgotten this blog!!! JOHN FLYNN is thrilled to know that JOHN FLYNN has not been forgotten!!!! JOHN FLYNN is a happy man today!!! JOHN FLYNN ROCKS!!!!!

  23. Powell says:

I’m a big Alfred Hitchcock fan and a big fan of Tippie Hedron. I just saw that Sat. 10/20 @ 9pm est The Girl is coming on. It looks like it’s about Hitchcock’s obsession Tippie. It shows the filming of The Birds, Marty & other films and how he was obsessed w/every aspect of her surrounding the films. I gotta watch that.

  24. Powell says:

An extended trailer of the new WD season is coming up next.

  25. Powell says:

Oh gosh!!! It’s gonna be GOOD!. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

  26. Nancy says:

Good afternoon all. GO 49ers! 🙂

  27. Princess C says:

I’m probably the only one, but I am excited for NJ reunion tonite…I can’t wait to see why Teresa is screaming and Jaq flip over her being a stripper. lol.

(I changed your name because I wasn’t sure you wanted your full name on the blog – NMD)

  28. Happy Birthday thedesigndiva, Shiny & DJ! May your day be everything you want it to be!
Great posts and info today. As I said above, I am under the weather so taking it easy. I will see you all later. Have a grand day everyone!

  29. Glad to see we’re JohnFlynning again 😉
Anyone watching Once Upon a Time?

  30. amalfi says:

Dina’s was a little full of herself Season 1 and I despised how they ALL (T, Caroline and Dina) attacked that crackpot Danielle. You didn’t have to like Danielle to realize how ugly the rest of them were. In fact, Caroline earned goodwill for encouraging the rest to leave her alone. Dina and T — especially T — went after her full force, and it was vile.

Now T is getting the full on outsider treatment and Caroline is even more disgusting that Teresa ever was. On some level does T deserve this? YES. But probably not at this high a level.

You’ll get yours too, Caro. For all the family love you proclaim, I think it will be you who will die alone — nice job projecting your fears onto Teresa. It is what scared and lonely people do.

    • Rebecca says:

Dina didn’t go after her. She tried to avoid her all season. Jacqueline however, kept bringing her around.

  31. LaineyLainey says:

Did Dana aka Pam ever marry JOHN FLYNN? Remember the castle wedding and all that?

    • Nancy says:

No they broke up. Big surprise.

    • Powell says:

She supposedly has another wealthy BF/fiance.

    • Powell says:

I guess she’ll get this one down the isle in a castle somewhere.

      • LaineyLainey says:

Wow, she sure did brag a lot about that wedding, didn’t she? life lesson. Don’t count your chickens…

        • Called A Princess says:

The chickens were never real. I always felt that Dana was/is another prevaricator. She had a rather narrative stand on the show to move or connect story plot lines with no real connection. She seemed very fake to me, with a total lack of glamorous appeal. JMHO.

          • LaineyLainey says:

As Adriana from Miami says “SHE (pam) is a wanna-BE” (i like the way she says that…instead of WANNA be…she says wanna BE.)

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I think her new beau is some wealthy dude from Ireland. That’s probably how she is able to make some upcoming appearances on “The Real Housewives of Ireland” (I’m not quite sure if that’s the show’s official name). I read about it somewhere. So, maybe she will get the following wishes: 1) a wealthy husband; 2) married in a castle; and 3) to be a Real Housewife (even though it’s in another country)!

    • no wedding, but she did try to out-Flynn him with the baby. Hah! Pam/Dana actually did get the old Flynn Flam heave ho.

      • LaineyLainey says:

baby? she had his bay-beeee!? “Jerry, Elaine, come look at the BAYYYYY-BEEEE!!”

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Yep. The “genius” baby, according to Dana, who could already speak different languages, including Thai and English. His Nanny was Thai. So, it was NOT a stretch to think he’d pick up some Thai words after being around her for a while. Lots of babies/toddlers do that when they have nannies that mainly speak another language. This made him a GENIUS according to Dana, though.

  32. Powell says:

4:14:29 until The Walking Dead. 😀

    • Nancy says:

What is that show about if you don’t mind answering that?

      • LaineyLainey says:

Hey, Nancy I’m being a buttinsky, but BB wrote a great recap of seasons 1 and 2. It’s basically about a zombie apocalypse.

        • Powell says:

          Good description Lainey.

        • Nancy says:

Thanks. I just can’t get hooked on another tv show but it seems like a lot of you like it.
I might have to check it out.

        • Powell says:

On WD twitter feed they have a YouTube link to some sneak peeks and the cast. The cast says the fans are nit going to believe this season. I’m not going to give anything away except to say the actress that plays Maggie sound British

        • BB says:

Lainey I’d like to take the credit, but Bluesky wrote the reviews for seasons 1 and 2. But I am a BIG FAN!

          • LaineyLainey says:

I KNEW THAT!!!!! sorry (((Bluesky))) making lots of mistakes today. why my brain so foggy???

  33. Powell says:

The WD just showed Rick and Shane’s stunt coordinators. They dress just like them & show them how to do a fight sequence & the actor duplicates it. They only have 8 days to shoot 1 episode.

    • In 8 days they make a spectacular tv episode. The RH’s shoot for months, fabricate fake drama or blow up what really is in their lives, and it’s still sh*tty tv. Give me a well acted, directed, quality filmed written show any day. My Bravo days are dwindling fast….thank you dear God in heaven.

      • Powell says:

      • LaineyLainey says:

Agreed. Plus WD is a visual treat. Some of those shots are breathtaking…like when he was in the tank…and the camera shot from the sky…wow!! What happened to the CDC..that was cool. The end of Barn scene – don’t want to spoil – but you know what I’m saying. I love the concept, the story, the acting, but some of those shots are such a treat. You feel respected as a viewer, like someone is thinking of you as an intelligent person with an appreciation for the work and creativity it takes to create some of these great scenes.

  34. boston02127 says:

I’m ready spaghetti! Let the crazy begin. 🙂

    • Nancy says:

      hi boston,
Do you have to wait until 10pm to watch it out there?

    • djprincessc says:

      I can’t wait!! 🙂

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

It’s weird. My analogy for how I feel about tonight’s episode of RHONJ is as follows: It’s like I feel a mixture of being excited that I am going to the doctor to get him to relieve some pain I am feeling. I know I’m going to have to deal with the pain of getting a shot and other kinds of treatment. But, when it’s all over, I will feel so much better because I will no longer be in pain.

That’s how I feel about the entire season of RHONJ and tonight’s final Reunion episode.

      • LaineyLainey says:

you’ve just described root canal. Except for the excitement part. But def the looking for relief part.

        • lol Detox & Lainey, you both just reminded me of what it was like to get a colonoscopy!!! Yes, to me the entire season of RHONJ was exactly that procedure…ahhh yes, the preparation starts the night before, it is draining (never mind, won’t tell you where you spend a couple of hours after downing the evacuation medicine) and then off to the doctor’s office. When you wake up, there is a queasy feeling, you know something was done, but you’re so glad it’s over!

          • Nancy says:

            HI blue,
I had my first one last year. My sister made me as she runs a GI lad here in LA.
I agree it wasn’t a lot of fun but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Everyone over 50 should get one!

            • ITA Nancy, it wasn’t so bad. The gas afterwards was painful for me, but my husband had me lay on my side, then pushed my knees up towards my stomach, and sort of squeezed the gas out. It was painful until that released it! Glad to report that my colon is in tip top shape. 🙂 However the rest of me is falling apart!

          • LaineyLainey says:

It’s my time. I need to do it.

            • BB says:

Please do Lainey. My brother died at the age of 54 of colon cancer. The doctor said he had had had it for years, so he had it way before the age of 50 (and we had never had a family history of it). I had my first colonoscopy (because of him) at 48 and had a precancerous polyp removed at that time. Then I had one three years later, then 5 years later, etc. I’m going to make an appointment tomorrow for one. It’s a lifesafving procedure and if anyone in your family has ever colon cancer, get one asap. If not and you’re 50 or over, get one. It’s not that bad. Just the prep. The actual procedure is nothing. And when you’re in the recovery room farting along with everyone else, it’s kind of funny. Sorry, but it’s true. Note to all: Schedule it for the first thing in the morning. You can’t eat after midnight and if you have to wait too long, you’ll be starving.

              • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

BB is right, Lainey. My maternal grandmother (actually the one I commented on above) had colon cancer. She did not die from it, but she did have to have a surgery and wear a colostomy bag afterward. NOT FUN!!!

              • NJBev says:

Sorry to hear about your brother, BB.

              • LaineyLainey says:

wow, NJBev so sorry for your loss. How heartbreaking! No history of it in our fam,…but still…it’s time. thanks for the nudge.

              • Sorry about your brother, and your mom Lava Lady. It’s really not that bad, in fact I enjoyed the anesthesia part! Especially if you have a blood relative that got colon cancer, it’s no joke. So important to eat your veggies & lots of fruit, too to prevent diverticulosis.

            • LavaLady says:

I do too. Every 5 years. My mom died of colon cancer.

      • Nancy says:

You should be feeling better by now. 😦

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I know, Nancy. Maybe it’s the stress of being around my parents. I love them DEARLY, but I’m a “lone wolf” at times. I like my space and my quiet, alone time to just have DEEP thoughts or to decompress or to just contemplate my damned NAVEL if I feel like it. *Shrug*

All this family “togetherness” can be stressful to one who is used to living alone. LOL 😉

          • Nancy says:

I hear you. Taking care of family can be really stressful. Remember I’m the one that
ALWAYS goes up to Canada if ANY of my relatives get sick.

Take care of yourself though. 🙂

    • OMG Boston you just reminded me of Honey Boo Boo’s favorite family spaghetti. Ready for the recipe? It’s only 3 ingredientses. Spaghetti, butter, and ketchup. Enjoy!

      • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

Dont forget an important part of Sketti, microwaving it in a plastic container!

        • cusi77 says:

Lol to the comparison of root canal with RHONJ! I have had less painful root canal done and mostly… in lesser time! Considering the time of suffering of this “self inflicted” pain by this RHONJ Season 4,.. I’d rather have a Root canal,,a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy than to watch the reruns of this Season!!! *Whispering* Ouch… but still watching tonight’s Reunion!

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

OMG. That has GOT to be one of (if not THE #1) GROSSEST recipes of which I have ever heard!!!

      • Kansas Girl says:

When I was a kid, we had spaghetti, butter and that parmesan cheese from the green can. I could never understand what people saw in spaghetti, seemed so dry to me. Then I went to college. I was so excited at the red sauce and MEATBALLS! I called my mom to tell her.

        • KG you were so deprived! I don’t know how, but one of my mom’s better meals is her spaghetti & meatballs. She even makes the meatballs from scratch. And no, we are not Italian, altho my dad’s best buddy was, so maybe that’s where she learned how to make this meal, from the Italian connection.

        • ah yes, the “green can” – remember it well. Now that I am lucky enough to belong to Costco in NJ (there’s only 1 Costco in the state my lives in, and it’s at least 200 miles from where she lives!) I buy the pecorino romano. It’s so good!

  35. Powell says:

Have you all seen Heather Dubrows Bravo/Secret Deodorant commercial?

    • Nancy says:

I saw it earlier. I just don’t like that woman as I think she’s a mean girl.

      • Powell says:

I don’t like her either Nancy.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I know I probably should NOT feel this way, but I don’t find Heather to be all that bad. *Shrug, then DUCKS from stones coming my way*

        • Nancy says:

I’m calling my attorney in the morning to take you out of the will.
I was going to leave you George. LOL

        • BB says:

I forgive you, but just this once. I cannot stand that woman or her husband.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Thank you, BB, for being so gracious; however, I no longer need my forgiveness because I HATE Heather now (Please see my above response to Nancy).

I’ve had some time to think about it, and I agree with you guys (I also want my inheritance from Nancy).

  36. Powell says:

I’m watching Miami for a few minutes. Why did Lisa wash the dogs in the bathtub and shower? It’s Miami. It’s nice outside. Wash them in the backyard. When I had dogs growing up we washed them in the backyard in a tub.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

That’s a good question that I never even thought of while watching the episode.

    • Powell, it may be the size of the dog. I would wash a little dog in the bathtub, or shower, maybe even the sink – because I could keep them in there (maybe). My big dogs? OMG no way. If they escaped, then I’d have a big huge dog running around wet in the house! So we wash them in the driveway, on the leash in the summer. They love it! It’s not easy, so I take them to a groomer. Plus it’s so frustrating when they are all cleaned up, then they go running around the yard, rolling in the grass. Especially the female dog. She loves to roll in the grass! They take forever to dry, with all that hair. Taking care of dogs is a lot of work. Wish I could trim their dog gone nails. That’s a real trick, getting a big dog to let you trim his nails. I wonder if the groomer straps them up so they are immobilized….that’s the only way the big guy would ever let you trim his nails. He’s such a baby! He even cries. The vet even had to tell him “German shepherds don’t cry” last time we saw him, it was so funny. Oh yeah, all 110 pounds of him. Believe me, he’d weigh 50 pounds more, if I didn’t police the trash & keep him from eating the female’s food. He lives to eat! Good thing I love my dogs…..they do provide so much companionship & amusement. Hmmmm does the trouble outweigh the good…..so far!

  37. Powell says:

Well kids the last epi of S2 WD is on. I hope you’re getting ready. 😀

  38. djprincessc says:

Someone on Facebook just showed me this link about Chris and Albie Manzo and Chris Laurita stealing the BLK Water idea. Its hard for me to keep up with all these lawsuits the Lauritas/Manzos are involved in! lol. Thoughts?????

    • NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

I remember hearing about that before…wasn’t it some lady or co or group in Canada?

    • Powell says:

Yeah djp I think someone mentioned it before. No we can’t keep up w/all their lawsuits. NJ has had the most lawsuits and bankruptcies than any other HW city I think.

      • djprincessc says:

I think so, I never read this before so I had no idea. I don’t like the Lauritas/Manzos but this doesn’t seem that legit to me, this happens all the time. One person comes out with a product then someone sues because allegedly it was “THEIR” idea first. Just wasn’t sure if anyone else had any knowledge of this.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I could be wrong, but I thought they settled THAT one. There’s just so many people being sued on RHONJ that I cannot keep up.

      • djprincessc says:

Powell I agree, I think Orange County is after NJ. Didn’t Jeana have financial problems? And Lynn and even though I loved Alexis I know there was some drama with her husband and his businesses.

    • VV says:

I just find it hilarious that of all the ideas they could’ve stolen for a business, they went with Black Water. BLACK WATER!!! Because nothing quench your thirst like a big tall glass of murky water 🙄

  39. NMhousewife (@KEGlovesNorway) says:

I must watch Amazing Race with my daughter so will have to wait for the second airing right after…like I said before too many good shows on at the same time.

  40. BB says:

My one post for tonight about sports. Yay Redskins! Sorry about the 49er’s Nancy. Yay Tigers (2-0)! That’s it.

I watched some old HWNJ reruns, the one with the Tre/Table flip. I think that is when Jaq was still normal (maybe not drinking a lot). She went after Dina and Caro about the Danielle book. Caro was saying she was the one that was spreading it around, and Jaq called them both saying they were lying (which I think is true). If I found out a friend had a lurid past as a young woman I would let her know quietly, and not judge her. I would never out her on TV. In this case Caro and Dina were both guilty. Tre was just following the girls at that point. But she got miffed because she felt that Danielle dissed her intelligence…I can understand that, bu tnot flipping the table. However in other old segments, Caro and Jaq were going on and on about how wonderful Tre is and how funny she is and what a good marriage she has. This is simply about jealousy and the fact that Tre got published and Caro’s idea about a book didn’t go anywhere. Actually I read online that Caro made fun of Tre’s book idea…I guess Tre is laughing all the way to the bank. It all goes to jealousy on the part of Caro and her puppet drinking Jaq. All these years Tre has not slammed them on twitter or anywhere else, until she was slammed last year and this year. I guess that Karma has come home to roost with Caro and Jaq, as they have nothing to show for profit from the show like Tre. Also the issue with Albert and the Governor of NJ is much bigger in the state, as well as the bankruptcy of Chris and his company. They are way to judgmental on this issue and it will not be pretty. They had so many cars leased to the business it was ridiculous (that is where Ashlee’s two cars came from, I’m sure). Also interesting Caro was much much heavier in the first season, I would bet she had lap band surgery as well. If you have the money, you will find a doctor to do the procedure even if you are not morbidly obese.

This happens on every HW franchise almost. One or two of them get the biggest fanbase or success from the show, and the rest are bitter and convince themselves they are upset for OTHER reasons. We’ve seen Kim/Nene frienship break up b/c of this. Bethenny/Jill. Lisa/Adrienne. The difference here is that Andy hates Teresa while he loves all the others that have found success. I will give him credit, though, at least he gave it to the other ladies a bit on this reunion. I loved him telling Kathy to stop with the plastic surgery. Or calling Caroline a bitter ginger with lemon face and then the camera cut to her looking like a bitter sourpuss.

To me, it’s also different with these ladies because they knew Teresa for over a decade, and talked about how funny and wonderful she was for the first 2 years of the show and then suddenly BOOM, she’s the devil. It’s not like they just met her when the show started. I can understand if they say Teresa is narcissistic or airheaded, but I just don’t think it makes her the devil. I think T knows A LOT about the Laurita family that she could share, but her loyalty to Dina and her respect for their mom, has kept her quiet.

I also think that Jac/Caro KNOW that production played a big role in the PFS ‘set up’, but they also know that T can’t say that.
