Housewife News by NoMoreDrama
What is going on with Dina Manzo? Dina Manzo has never been the most – um – stable of the Laurita offspring. At times she’s shown downright strange behavior on twitter – and has been the subject of numerous blogs over the years. Beginning about a year ago she declared public support for Team Teresa and we learned that she no longer spoke to sister Caroline Manzo. Both Caroline and sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita have expressed frustration that Dina filmed with Teresa and supported her on camera – and has continued to support her off-camera by attending various events for Teresa such as Adriana’s birthday party. In all fairness, Adriana is Dina’s god-daughter – so she may not be attending events to mess with Caroline – she might actually be going to support the little girl. Anyway, whether it’s the drama in Jersey that’s getting to her – or something else – she seems a little stressed out. She’s tweeted a few strange things over the last few days.
This first tweet was after her brother Anthony joined twitter, and asked all of his family to follow him. Dina and Jaime were the last to hit that follow button. Reading through Anthony’s tweets – I think he may have just meant everyone else had already clicked that follow button when he said “everyone else is on board”. He struck me as pretty excited about being on twitter – that’s all. Dina’s response was a little strange.
Then a little later she expressed more frustration.
And then a few days later these ones ….
I’m sensing that we’ll be hearing about what’s bugging her soon.
Ana Quincoces took to twitter today to retweet this tweet that was sent to her by her daughters. It appears to be an attempt to show that she couldn’t possibly be interested in Karent’s boyfriend since she’s got a man of her own. “Unemployed telenovela star vs. Former US Attorney?” I find it strange that she thinks we believe she’d be after Karent’s fake boyfriend. Either he’s a player or he’s an actor playing a part on the show – but it would be hard to believe that Ana would chase after him.
Meanwhile Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Lisa Hochstein were at the Guria Swimwear fashion show chatting in the front row. After the show they were photographed with Milliondollar Matchmaker Patti Stranger, who made an unfortunate fashion choice for the event.
After the swimwear show, Adriana and Lisa walked the catwalk for the Red Dress Campaign.

Real Housewives of Miami Blogs Blogged by IDon’tBelieveinUnicorns
This episode opens with Romain and Marta having a heart to heart at the scene of the crime after being encouraged by Joanna, who just wants peace between the people she loves most. Romain explains that he only wants the best for Marta, but expresses his frustration that her work ethic and initiative is not meeting his expectations. I get the feeling that he may view Marta as a third heel and wants Joanna to himself.
Well Romain very well may be a heel but I think Marta is sweet.
Next up Rodolfo seems irritated about Karent’s concern with the other ladies’ disapproval of her and her behavior. I think he would prefer if Karent didn’t let it bother her, but I think her innocent nature finds it hard to comprehend why anyone would think she was being malicious or annoying in any way.
Malicious?… maybe not. Annoying?… you bet your sweet bippy.
I invited all the ladies to the annual Hearts and Stars Gala at George Walner’s home to benefit The Little Lighthouse Foundation…
It was a really fun night for me, but I can’t say the same for the rest of the ladies. Everyone’s feathers were ruffled by Karent’s interaction with Thomas Kramer, who happens to be a dear friend of me and Lenny. It almost seemed like a competition over who was better acquainted with Thomas. I personally did not see the big deal or find it inappropriate that Karent was inserting herself into the irritated clique that clearly did not appreciate her keen interest in her dear friend.
It must be a love is blind kinda thing because I thought Karent’s behavior was ridiculous and made her appear desperate and insecure.
Everyone was formally introduced to the other loves of my life Puff (boxer) and Leo (Pomeranian). Currently these are my children. They do everything with me and Lenny, including sleeping in our bed. Some people may find that gross, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They are groomed weekly, and if they can’t get an appointment, Daysy and I get down and dirty. Can’t have smelly dogs sleeping in the bed!
Tell that to some of the RHoNJ housewives.
Then Karent get called out as a wanna be and annoying, which I completely disagree with. She is a successful business woman and doctor, who is just being herself, and in my opinion she’s very likeable. I immediately connected with Karent from the moment I met her. I thought she was genuine and I was impressed by how successful she was on her own.
Just because she’s a successful business woman and doctor doesn’t mean she’s not annoying as hell. As sickeningly nice as she comes across at times spells p-h-o-n-y.
Lastly, I found it very unnecessary that Ana and Alexia were poking fun at Karent’s name and suggesting she drop the “T”. I mean, that’s her name for heaven’s sake! Maybe Joanna, Alexia, Lea, Adriana, Ana, and I should drop the “A” and Marysol the “sol”?
Isn’t Lisa the one that’s always worrying about others taking things too seriously?
It’s really quite simple. She’s glad everyone saw Mama Elsa’s moves… She’s sick of Lea spewing lies… She thinks Karent is annoying… Adriana cracks her up.
When Marta told me she wanted to move out, it made me emotional because we have lived together since we were little. When Romain came into this relationship, he also adopted a family. My mom and sister both live with me in Los Angeles and Marta stays with us whenever she wants when I am in Miami. He never really had the option to have a problem with it, because I never asked him, but that is what I love about him; he has never had any issues with my family living with us and me being so close to them. To be honest, if it was the other way around and his mom and brother lived with us, I don’t know if I would be OK with it haha! But let’s just thank god that’s not the situation.
It’s interesting to see such a different family dynamic in Miami.
I don’t have to worry about that, but I do worry about Marta and Romain finding peace with each other eventually. Marta moving out will give us the space we need to work on our own relationship and move forward from here and be happy like we used to be. Marta has good intuition, so I am hoping she is right about this decision.
I’d worry more about you and Romain finding peace with each other.
Poor, poor Karent! How did she become a “wannabe?” I’m confused as to why Adriana said that. If anyone is a wannabe here, it’s Adriana. Posing topless in a pool for a gallery shoot which never got used anyway and was the smallest photo in the gallery? Come on. Karent is a wonderful dentist and has celebrity friends, so why not have a publicist to help her network and meet new people for her business? I think Adriana and some of the other girls are just jealous of her success and beauty –- not to mention she did this all on her own without a man’s help. The others just can’t get over it. There is a reason why Karent is successful and has what she has. People need to stop hating, because they only look bad in the process. They should respect that she had so much success as a gorgeous woman and leave her and her relationship alone. If she wants to find out if he’s cheating or not, she will do the digging herself and eventually the truth will come out. But some of these women are not her true friends, and it’s getting a bit old talking about it over and over again. Karent seems to be happy with the way her relationship is going, and it’s her decision what she wants to do and no one else’s. I just wish Karent would put these women in their place and stand up for herself, because otherwise I will have to stand up for my friend soon!
Why does a beautiful, successful woman get to behave poorly and have it excused away as others being jealous? It’s obvious Adriana recommended her for the show… why would she have done that if she was jealous of her?
And why are the girls fighting over who should be invited to Thomas Kramer’s like he’s Obama or something? Obviously some of these women are not busy enough in their everyday life and find the pettiest things to argue about rather than focusing on the real reason we are at the Hearts and Stars Gala — CHARITY!
I didn’t see anyone fighting over an invitation but I did see Karent as rude and childish. Or am I just jealous?
Up until now I’ve heard for weeks on the show and seen in the blogs that Lisa has made several comments about how I snub and disregard her continually. But I have never had or said anything against her, so I am not sure where this is coming from. I hugged her the first time I met her at Smith and Wollensky and the second time I met her at my home. The charity has about thirty volunteers, so I don’t always get to call them all personally for every meeting, but she should also know that I don’t just invite anyone into my home, so the fact that I invited her says a lot. I had no idea how important that personal phone call was to Lisa. Or that a quick hello and a hug to someone I met for the first time in a crowd of 500 plus people would become “snubgate.” I adore you, Lisa. End of story.
I didn’t think it was a snub either. Lisa’s being a bit too sensitive about it.
Up to this point in the show, the only person I have said anything negative about is Karent, where I have joked about her nonstop chatter. (And the hilarious joke about why she’s a dentist — you have to admit that was harmless humor!) If you notice, I don’t chime in with any of the group chatter about Karent; you know where the people that don’t like to gossip gossip? You will see how my relationship with Karent plays out later, and I think you will be surprised. Before now, have I ever said negative things about people in my blogs? Go back and read them. You will see that it’s been in response to things said about me.
We know, Lea’s jealous of Karent. I wonder if Lea knows that.
Have I made a few jokes? Yes. Speaking of bad jokes, I have always known Felipe did not need a green card. The first time I met him, he told me he had a catering company in the U.S. for fourteen years. If I thought he really needed a green card, I obviously wouldn’t have called attention to it. We have laughed about it since many times. It’s sort of a Miami joke. Marysol acknowledged on the reunion show last year that she knew it was just my sense of humor. Even though I prefaced it as “this is a joke, I hope you will laugh,” it didn’t work out that way. So if this joke or any of my other jokes ever offend anyone, just know they aren’t meant to. I’ve made plenty of jokes about myself and poked fun at myself along the way too. This season alone I’ve been poked fun at, shot down, mocked, ridiculed, criticized, backstabbed, gossip fodder for the gossip addicted, and falsely and wrongly accused ad nauseum — you don’t see me acting like a victim. But you do see me laughing a lot! I even think my laugh is funny, hahahahaha!
IT WAS A JOKE! Get it? Honestly, I’ve had enough of some people not being able to take a damn, friggin’ joke.
Things to think about this week:
Powerful people never give their power away, they own it. They aren’t “poor me.”
You can make something out of nothing if you talk about it enough.
Backstabbing is embarrassing.
Sneaky is not becoming.
Two-faced always shows its ugly face.
A sense of humor should be a goal.
Laughing at yourself can be fun.
Put your energy into good and truth.
There can only be one Switzerland.
You can’t be everything to everybody all the time.
Let the facts, not your agenda, define the truth.
And don’t deal with stupid!
I’ll let this speak for itself.
This week we are really feeling the rush of Miami and the drama that comes with it! Joanna loves to stir the pot! As usual she misses the point and never seems to understand the issues.
I’ll save everyone the pain: Issue One… Joanna shouldn’t blame Adriana for what’s wrong in her relationship. Issue Two… Joanna stirred the pot by calling Karent and warning her about Adriana’s intentions of talking to her at the party. Issue Three… Joanna treats her sister, Marta, like a maid. She feels sorry for Marta.
Overall, just another night in Miami. And amidst quarrels and the many karats of rubies and emeralds, I still managed to have fun dancing with the girls!
Adriana had fun… that’s all that matters.
“The boredom occasioned by too much restraint is always preferable to that produced by uncontrolled enthusiasm.” -Osbert Lancaster
The real housewives motto… hahahaha
So what have we learned after this fifth week in reality land? That drama and restraint make strange bedfellows. That reality begets drama and that much of the real conflict, perceived conflict, and impending conflict could be avoided by exercising a little, you guessed it, restraint. But if we all exercised anything but unbridled enthusiasm, would you still tune in?
Probably not which is why it’s actually not a good motto for the real housewives.
I have never been one to defend my words or actions. I am quite comfortable with how things have played out so far because “at the end of the day” it’s reality: mine, theirs, and yes, even yours. And as I have painfully discovered, the camera does not lie. If you choose to spend any part of your Thursday nights with me, know that you are sharing it with the most authentic version of me. I don’t play up or “down play” any particular situation. My reactions are as uncensored and unfiltered as they are in my everyday life, and just like in my everyday life, if I deem that my behavior requires that I apologize for it, I will.
I wonder if the housewives get a bonus for insisting what we’re seeing is actually unbridled reality.
The Hearts and Stars Gala was a great event, and I am glad that Lisa is doing her part for this charitable organization as well as others. Lisa is a very generous person, and I am happy to see her giving back to the community. To call what Lisa is doing “cute” is to give it less credence than it deserves, but that’s just me. Lea has the uncanny ability to make an “innocent comment” sound like a dig. Even when she claims something is a “joke” it is always so gratuitously hurtful (i.e. greencard) that it is impossible to join in her borderline sinister/hysterical laughter. The sheer number of insults disguised as jokes that she follows with “uproarious laughter” as someone recently commented, is off putting in every way. If you study Lea closely, you will see that at one point or another she mocks and belittles everyone (even those who she has now decided are weak enough to be allies). She plays all sides against the middle, and she does it rather brilliantly — I’ll give her that. As the season progresses you will see that her relationships are in a constant state of evolution; note that I am not one of the pawns in her elaborate socialite chess game. I am merely a mildly amused observer. Checkmate.
Was it a passive aggressive remark or a joke? That’s the question (and always seems to be the question).
I was noticeably uneasy at the gala. The Rodolfo/Karent situation has escalated far beyond what is necessary and having to partake in an evening with them was quite uncomfortable. Because of this, I made every effort to avoid eye contact, physical proximity, and ultimately conflict with either one of them. It is unfortunate that Karent behaves in such an overzealous manner. Be it in her personal life with Rodolfo and the reptilian PDA with which she convinces everyone that they are a couple, or with friends like Thomas Kramer, who despite Karent’s personal claim, acknowledges that he has been friends with the other ladies for decades. Her behavior always seems desperate and exaggerated, not unlike that of the protagonist in a real life telenovela. Frankly, I don’t know this TK guy from a hole in the wall, and I can’t say I care to; but apparently it is imperative to Karent that we all know that they are “dear friends,” that he “wishes he could date her,” and that there is a lot of photographic evidence regarding the same. OK, noted. LOUD AND CLEAR.
There was NOTHING wrong with Karent’s behavior!! Ana must be jealous.
“Facebook stalking” with my girls was all in good fun, but just for the record: I disagree with the “one boob bigger” comment. In fact, Karent’s boobs look pretty normal to me. I always tell my girls that they DO NOT need to express every single random thought they have out loud. I especially have a problem with discussing physical characteristics or flaws because A) no one is perfect (especially me) and B) it is tacky. But it is hard to encourage girls to be independent thinkers and then attempt to sensor what they say. So like every other mom on the planet, I have accepted that there is no instruction manual for parenting and I continue to do the best I can with the experience I’ve acquired. My current plan is to convince them that restraint is the new black.
While I hate to end this blog with something as trivial as the symmetry of breasts, I have learned to recognize when a healthy dose of restraint is in order.
There are some that would say that symmetrical breasts are not boring but IMO restraining them is probably a good idea.
Rodolfo arrives from one of his many trips. He always likes to act like a clown, but I must admit that he had a valid point — I have always been a people pleaser and I have tried to go out of my way to be nice to everyone. I need to realize that people will love you or hate you just because. I need to not let it affect me and just be true to myself. I am so grateful for the wonderful friends that I have, and as for those who just want to criticize or bring negative energy, well, then they can turn around and leave the same way they came in. I have maintained some of my closest friendships for more than 25 years, and I also have made some amazing new ones recently. This must mean I am doing something right. Doesn’t it?
Well if you have to ask…
Marysol seems to want to have a competition as to who knows Thomas Kramer the longest. How old is she now, really? I have been Thomas’ friend for over 15 years and that is the reason I decided to host a dinner for all the ladies at his house. His home is very large and definitely never boring! And since he offered his house, I said why not?
I don’t know how old Marysol is but I do know she’s known Thomas Kramer longer. This Thomas Kramer person must be really important.
I have many patients that come to my office because they want to, not necessarily because they have to. Cosmetic dentistry is similar to plastic surgery in that people willingly come see you, because they want to improve their appearance and at the same time their self-esteem. I love what I do, not only because I am able to improve their oral health, but because seeing my patients smile for the first time after I have completed their smile makeover and hearing their appreciation and positive comments makes me happy that I was able to help in some way. We became friends after I worked on his mouth. I specialize in cosmetic dentistry, and I had done full-mouth porcelain veneers on him. He obviously loves his teeth, because he can’t stop smiling!
You ARE special. I never WANT to see my dentist and I never became his friend either.
My mom couldn’t attend the event that night, and since she is also friends with Thomas, she had asked me to take a picture with him and send it to her, so I did.
Sure she did.
Once again Ana can’t seem to find anything important in her own life, so she continuously focuses on mine. I must say, I am flattered that I am so important in her life. Just because I am friends with some celebrities, doesn’t make me a “celebrity stalker,” like she calls it. Ana’s jealousy truly gets the best of her, and she can only criticize and say negative comments. I believe in “The Laws of Attraction” discussed in the book, The Secret. It talks about the energy you emit is what you will attract in your life. What a great birthday or Christmas present for Ana, don’t you think?
There’s that J word again.
As I was watching Lea’s tasting at the Fontainebleau, I realized that Marysol needs to own up to her mistakes and deficiencies. Lea’s event is for a wonderful charitable cause, and if she made a mistake, then own up to it. Hey, we are all human and allowed to err, but just recognize and rectify, don’t pass the buck.
I really appreciate Joanna’s friendship and that she tried to clarify things with Adriana, but it seems that Adriana’s negativity will only allow her to see things the way she wants to.
As for Lisa, I so enjoy seeing her interact with Daysy and her dogs. What can I tell you about her besides that I love her!?
And the teams have been formed.
Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 Review by Bluesky1forever
Walking Dead Season I
Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes and his partner Shane are called over their police radio to aid in the capture of a speeding vehicle. They place a spike strip on the highway. Here comes the speeding vehicle with some bad dudes looking to outrun the law. As their muscle car tires hit the nails, the vehicle spins out of control, rolling over and finally landing on its side. Rick & Shane are at the scene, approaching the wreck with guns drawn. Two other cop cars in pursuit screech to a halt, the cops inside exiting with guns drawn, taking cover behind their car doors. Rick recklessly approaches the crashed car, shouting at the driver who is crawling out of the window. Suddenly he fires his gun….Rick is hit but his Kevlar vest protects him. The other officers start firing, killing the driver. Rick thinks it’s okay to keep approaching….but another badass dude crawls out of the crashed up car, on the other side, and he starts firing his weapon, hitting Rick in the side. Shane screams at the other cops to call an ambulance. Shane runs to aid Rick, who has lost consciousness.
Rick is now in a coma in the hospital. In just a few days, all hell will break loose while Rick is still lying in his hospital bed. The flowers on the table next to the bed have completely dried out. As Rick suddenly awakens, he is in a panic, pulling out the tubes in his arm and chest. He calls for Shane, but there is a foreboding silence in the room. Rick falls out of the hospital bed, dizzy and off balance. He struggles to the door, which he has trouble opening. As he pushes a gurney out of the way, we see a corridor littered with hospital equipment, overturned and in disarray, a dead nurse on the floor. Rick stumbles towards a door. There is blood spattered on the wall. He hears growling and scratching sounds from another double door that is padlocked. Wisely, but with a horrified look, he goes in the opposite direction. Rick makes his way to a staircase, stumbles down a couple of flights, and then opens a door to a horrific scene outside. Hundreds of dead bodies are piled up in neat rows, with white sheets covering them. As the camera pans away, we see a crashed helicopter, dead soldiers in green fatigues crumpled at their posts, and off in the distance, a woman with her lower body gone crawls in the grass. It is a scene that Rick cannot comprehend. He knows something terrible has happened, but what?
This is how “Walking Dead” begins. The first episode is as good as a movie, you will not be disappointed if you watch it. Rick now has to find out what has happened to his wife and young son. He must dodge the “walkers” as they try to attack him. He doesn’t know what has happened. He finds his house deserted. While he is outside, a young boy hits him with a shovel. Rick falls to the ground as the boys father shouts at him, realizing that Rick is not a walker. The man saves Rick from another walker, then takes him to his barricaded house. Here Rick finds out about the horror the world has become. He thinks his wife & son have survived, and he plans on looking for them.
The next episodes show what happens to Rick as he searches for his family, finds other survivors and tries to make sense out of a world that has lost all reason. It is a fight to survive, to find food, to find a safe place from the walkers. Netflix has the first season, or you may be able to get it at your local library. I don’t want to give too much away, it’s a well done show and worth watching. Season 3 will be starting on AMC October 14. You can find more information here
You can watch on netflix.com or get a free trial on huluplus & catch up:
Walking Dead Short Summary of Season II
I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that wants to catch up on Season I & II, so this will just be a quick synopsis.
Season I left off with Rick, his wife, son and the other survivors in Atlanta. They have discovered that the Center for Disease Control can’t help them. You will be on the edge of your seat watching what happens at the CDC, so enough said about that.
Back on the road again outside Atlanta, our brave survivors are taking one day at a time. The little girl in the group gets lost in the woods. Always a bad idea…she is on her own. Then Rick’s son gets shot. There’s a man in the woods hunting deer, and by accident shoots him. Panic abounds….so now Rick is running in desperation, carrying his son, following the hunter to a farm. The farm is owned by a vet, and there is a small group of survivors on the farm. They have been getting provisions from a nearby town. Now the vet needs antibiotics and other things from the town, to save Rick’s son. Shane volunteers to go to town with the hunter to bring back the supplies. You must watch what happens, as this is gripping. Will the little girl ever be found? A lot of things happen on the farm. It almost is a happy time, but there is always a walker (or survivors with bad intentions) lurking around, making survival so hard for Rick’s group & the Vet’s family & friends. You will not be disappointed if you watch Season I & II. But you don’t have to have seen any of the previous episodes to enjoy this show. Go ahead and watch or dvr Sunday night, you will not be sorry.
Season III will begin as our group of survivors have left the farm, and find themselves truly in a dangerous position. But they see a prison. Will the prison offer them safety? Isn’t it ironic that the prison, meant to keep us safe from the “bad guys” is now a place where our survivors might find safety. A helicoptor flies over head. Who is out there to help our brave survivors? Check out the teaser film for episode 1, Season III here
And watch “After Dead” the talk show that examines what is going on in the show. They have actors, writers, etc. talking about the series. Walking Dead is a very well done show, it’s well worth your time to watch!
