Housewife News by NoMoreDrama
Melissa Gorga has signed a book deal to tell us how to keep our marriages as hot and steamy as her marriage with Joe.
If you haven’t vomited yet, feel free to keep reading. Yes. Someone has decided that there is a market for Melissa Gorga to give us advice on marriages. According to TheCelebrityCafe, “She revealed the book will give readers “practical strategies on how to strengthen their marriage, amp up the passion, and the secrets that make my marriage as sexy and hot as it is warm and loving.” I think some publishers just made a huge mistake on this one. No one wants to know more about Joey’s poison. I think all of the ladies of Real Housewives of New Jersey have already shared way way way too much about that aspect of their lives.
Catching up with Real Housewives of Vancouver
The three returning Real Housewives of Vancouver sat down for an interview with the Huffington Post – Canada. We learn that things haven’t changed much since the reunion. Ronnie and Jody are still friends, and Mary is on the outs with both of them. Unfortunately for Mary, her main allies from last year – Christina and Reiko took a pass on Season Two, so we can only hope that some of the new girls bond with her so that she’s not on her own against Jody and Ronnie – who are more vicious than any Housewife on a US Franchise. Jody had just opened a new store – Jody Fine Foods – in West Vancouver, along with her Glass House Boutique. I am hoping to swing by her stores and review them for the blog on my next trip over the border. They are next to some sort of mall – way outside of downtown – so it’ll be a special trip that I’ll have to trick hubs into making on our way to Whistler next week. Wish me luck. He’s not really into anything housewives.
According to Jody’s twitter feed, they are still filming. Asked if she’d be in her shop, this was her response:
Q: hey ! R u going to be around the shop tomorrow?”
Jody: Filming in the morning, shop in the afternoon! Plz come by!
Linda Thomson – “‘Not only did Yolanda take my husband, she also took my show!’
Linda Thomson is another of Kyle Richards friends who is a wannabe housewife. Like Faye Resnick, Linda appeared on Season one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Like Faye, Linda wanted a larger role this year according to NYDailyNews. Linda Thomson was once married to Bruce Jenner – and his now wife Kris is the matriarch of a Reality Show Family. One of her sons with Bruce – Brody – was on the Hills. Before she was married to Jenner, Thomson was a girlfriend of Elvis. Linda was also married to David Foster for 14 years, and together with Foster and her sons (with Jenner) stared in a short lived reality show – “The Princes of Malibu.” They divorced as the show premiered, and Foster is now married to Yolanda Foster, a recent addition to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Now a source is telling the DailyNews that Linda is miffed – despite doing everything she could to get a role on housewives this year, she’s remained in the background at parties – and she blames Yolanda for that. She’s telling people “‘Not only did Yolanda take my husband, she also took my show!’ and claims that once Yolanda joined housewives she told producers she didn’t want Linda around.
“Not so” say the producers of the show – in fact Linda will appear on the show. And for clarification – Yolanda didn’t marry David Foster until he had been divorced from Linda for six years. My two cents. Linda just isn’t that interesting – otherwise she’d be on the show.
RadarOnline Reports that LeAnn Rimes is Obsessed with Brandi Glanville.
What has happened to RadarOnline? They are finally writing something that doesn’t slam Brandi Glanville. Sure this story is old news. Lynn Hudson wrote a blog about how obsessed LeAnn was with Brandi in December 2011 – over a year ago. You can read it here. Who can forget LeAnn copying Brandi – even down to her bathing suit? Well now RadarOnline has picked up on a Star report quoting an insider as saying, ““It’s out of control, the way LeAnn stalks Brandi. Even LeAnn’s friends think it’s weird, but she can’t seem to help herself.” The article even picks up on the swimsuit incident. One paragraph in the article talks about how Brandi knows LeAnn is stalking her. “Someone is obviously stalking my facebook & copies my every move, even my bikini pics!!” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills beauty tweeted last year after LeAnn kept putting up suspiciously similar pics to the ones she was posting. “Creepy! I said it once I will say it again STALKER!!”
Wow – they even called Brandi a Beauty. What is going on at RadarOnline, have they had a change in writers?

Real Housewives of Miami Cast Blogs Blogged by IDon’tBelieveinUnicorns
Before I begin this week’s blog, I want to acknowledge the horrible tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, and I pray they get through the holidays. I can’t imagine what the victims’ families must be going through.
Such an incredible tragedy. The suffering caused is unfathomable. No words can express my sorrow for all those effected… there are so many victims even beyond those so cruelly taken and their families.
At breakfast Lea was clearly annoyed that Karent did not defend herself the night before. We all hoped that Karent would have defended her relationship to the other women. The truth is that it is Karent’s life not ours and it’s none of our business. We can only give her advice but cannot push her. If I were Karent I would have immediately investigated until I got to the bottom of it, but that’s me. I probably would have cursed everyone for making a mockery out of me.
Sadly I believe that in her heart, Karent knew that there was no defending her relationship. She just wanted the discussion ended. She realized that if she looked at the article or “investigated until she got to the bottom of it” there would be no denying it. I like Lisa, however, she should have told the firing squad, “not here, not now.” She could have taken the article (I’m sure Alexia made plenty of copies) and assured them she would take care of it at a more appropriate time and place.
Anticipating a chic lunch spot, most of us decided to get all dolled unaware we were going to a simple conch stand. I decided I would be the designated driver and give the ladies a thrill ride. Sure, it was dangerous driving the golf carts the way I did but I was bored, LOL! Although it looked like a hole in the wall restaurant, it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The women tried to get me to eat the conch pissel because it’s supposedly and aphrodisiac. The only pissel I will touch is my husbands, and he wasn’t there anyway, so why would I need a passion potion?
This was the most fun we saw these housewives have in Bimini. Golf cart racing seems like good therapy for them. Just what the doctor ordered after a night of drinking and drama. Lisa and Yolanda should have a tournament… with these dare devils, I’m not sure whether they would consider the first one to flip it as being a loser or a winner.
Ana’s dinner was delicious and the drinks were so strong they literally knocked your socks off. The night started off pleasantly, but then the conversation at the dinner table turned into argument about Lisa Pliner, Elaine, Karent, Alexia’s husband, and then Lea and Marysol went at it! I could not keep up! Holy ADD! Someone throw these women an Adderall stat. At this point I tuned out, because like most, I wasn’t following since I had not been there and quite frankly was over it. For this reason I suggested that there are bigger things to fight over and really hoped these two could just move on already. Finally they had an awkward hug moment so we could move on.
Good Lord don’t give these women Adderall! I think what they needed was a Xanex or Valium. Actually, let’s skip the drugs altogether considering the amount of drinking that goes on. Really nothing new here… typical for Real Housewives, strong drinks and dinner served with a side or two of squabble.
I had high hopes and expectations that all the girls would bond and get along, but boy was I wrong. I should have known better, but I was definitely relieved I was sharing a house with my friends Lea, Lisa, and Karent. If I was stuck in the other house, I probably would have been miserable, except of course for Ana. I wouldn’t have minded her sharing the house with us as I am on good terms with her also.
C’mon… Joanna had to know what she was signing up for. All of them bonding and getting along is not in their contracts.
I felt really bad for Karent, because it seems since the moment some of the girls have met her they were obsessed about Rodolfo. They should know that Miami especially is filled with people that just love to speak nonsense and start rumors. I have heard so many things about me and Romain that we just laugh it off and feel bad for the ones starting the rumors. We know who we are and know that people would love to break us up and see us miserable and not successful, but the more they try, the worse it is for them. It gives us the drive to work harder and become more successful.!
Actually Alexia was friends with Rodolfo prior to knowing Karent so it makes one wonder why she’s throwing him under the bus. Regardless, if Karent actually had thought this was one of “those rumors,” she should have looked at the article and showed the girls how ridiculous it was. I stated my thoughts on this in Lisa’s blog (Karent was afraid this would prove to not be just one of those rumors.)
Alexia should know better, since everyone knows Miami is filled with rumors. She shouldn’t even bother with Karent and Rodolfo, since it’s obvious that Karent doesn’t care what she has to say, but her obsession makes her keep talking about it. It was extremely obvious that Alexia was happy to show Karent the article about Rodolfo with some other woman. You can see it in her eyes when she told her about it. If she cared even a little about Karent, she would have left it behind in Miami and found a better time to bring it up — not on a trip that I have planned for everyone so that we can have a fun time and try to become closer. She could at least respect that and wait to bring it up to Karent without ruining the trip.
I think most agree this was not the time to bring up this article with Karent. As I previously mentioned, Lisa had the opportunity and could have and should have nipped it in the bud. It may or may not have stopped Alexia, but at least if Lisa took the article to tell her at a later time, she would have been taking away Alexia’s ammo on this trip… that is as long as Alexia had left her other copies in Miami.
Alexia shouldn’t be upset about with me about the rumor relating to her husband. She can dish it out, but she can’t take it? I was just making a point. Plus I love gays. Tons of my friends are gay, so what’s the big deal?
In all fairness, Alexia DID ask Joanna to show her the proof. That’s all Alexis wanted Karent to do… was look at the proof. So essentially, Alexia was willing to take it… there was simply nothing to back it up.
Assumptions and presumptions are dangerous things. Last week I received quite a bit of criticism for the title of my blog. I think it read: “Rodolfo is not good enough for Karent” or the other way around. While I mentioned in my blog that “I am happy for Karent” (I would be happy for any woman that excised a malignant tumor from her life) I would not go so far as to presume what is or is not “good enough” for her. Only she knows that and frankly it’s her issue and I really don’t care.
Being part of a show like this requires that we comment on each other’s lives and sometimes titles are created in an effort to lure the reader as well as summarize the general sentiment. Without such commentary there would be little interaction between us and the show would cease to exist.
So for those who went on a tirade about the title, this is just another reminder of the danger of assumptions. There are plenty of things that I am guilty of and am happy to be lectured on or berated about; the title of last week’s blog, however, is not one of them.
Why doesn’t she just come right out and say that Bravo titles the blogs?
The second part of our Bimini trip was a roller coaster of emotion for many of us. Visiting the conch stand together was a lot of fun, but cooking with Chef Ed and creating an amazing meal for the girls was the highlight of my trip. I am happiest in the kitchen. There is something very special about creating something that will nourish another person. Feeding someone is a privilege that I respect and cherish.
Wow… I’m the happiest having a pizza delivered.
But for the Lea/Marysol confrontation, it was a lovely dinner. I suppose it was a long time coming. Ultimately, I don’t believe there was resolution, but it was clear from the interaction that Marysol had been yearning for a friendship with Lea. I think since that time Marysol has come to the realization that some people are incapable of true friendship.
What I think Marysol was yearning for was a storyline that didn’t include Mama Elsa.
I think Lea’s credibility has been tested over and over again this season. She changes friends more often than she changes her turbans. Her new-found friendship with Karent, after all she did was bad mouth and mock her, is suspect. She also treated Lisa like a second class citizen and belittled her philanthropic efforts. On a side note: did anyone else hear Lea loudly exclaim in response to Marysol “the charity paid you!” Hmm… Finally, her tirade about how she would handle Roy cheating on her was very telling. We all know that (in Lea’s case in particular), the truth is always said in jest.
Let’s be fair here, housewives do change alliances more often than they get bottom. That’s not even worth commenting on. And I think we’ve yet to meet a real housewife who doesn’t talk about the other housewives. As far as Lea’s tirade about how she would handle Roy’s cheating being “telling”, “truth said in jest”… Is Ana suggesting she believes Roy has cheated on Lea? Didn’t Ana start off this blog saying assumptions and presumptions are dangerous things?
Ana then takes a page out of Lisa V’s book and includes a comment from a viewer. She also includes a recipe for red velvet cake if anyone is interested. I LOVE red velvet cake but it’s a short drive to the bakery in town so…
About our trip to the Bahamas. Well, I got criticized for over packing, but later in the trip I was feeling like the only one that could comfortably stay on the island for a few more days with no shortage of clean clothes! I’m a believer in being prepared for any situation. Hence, the over packing became (or should have been called) “preparation for the unexpected.” I had choices for during the changing weather for the many days, in case we got stuck there. I heard many of the girls complaining about not having brought enough clothes and being cold when the weather suddenly changed and we were under heavy winds and rain. When we drove our golf carts to the conch stand, I was the only one feeling warm. Also, I really enjoy fashion and have even designed my favorite pair of sunglasses, The Adri-O, which are available for sale at Selima Optique in Soho in NYC. With the rain pouring hard on us and not much to do, the girls were enjoying coming over to my room to check out my outfits and sunglasses!
I got nothin’.
This episode starts off with the ladies in the other house having breakfast the next day after Karent finds out that her “boyfriend” was cheating on her. I want to reiterate that I did not do this to hurt her in any way. I did not think she would be truly hurt because I’ve always believed that their relationship was for cameras. I was telling the truth, and if that makes me mean, then I am an honest mean person. Even Lea is so surprised by Karent’s reaction that she continues to give Karent a hard time. And Karent as usual doesn’t acknowledge anything and acts like it’s a conspiracy against her, continuing to act like the victim. Karent’s whole thing is that we are mean and want to hurt her, when she knows we busted her in her lie. She must have known that Rodolfo was in a relationship with another woman and couldn’t have been so bothered. She is not affected, joking about it and continuing to blame us while not addressing the issue.
I almost want to rewatch the episodes before I comment on this. (Operative word being almost.) If I recall correctly, Alexia acted as if the reason she wanted to bring up this information was out of “concern” for Karent and to open her eyes to who Rodolfo truly is. She felt that Karent should be made aware that Rodolfo is a cheater so she won’t waste any more time with him since she wants to marry and have children. Am I wrong? (It surely wouldn’t be the first time.) I don’t recall her saying that she wanted to approach Karent with this information to “catch her in a lie.” I would buy her intentions if she had been upfront with them, but she wasn’t. Sorry Alexia, you can’t have it both ways.
Joanna and Karent are always bragging about being so fabulous, self-made, and perfect, yet they can’t even keep a man for 5 minutes! Maybe one day you will be blessed with having a great man like I do and having the greatest gift of all, children! That is indeed what you are both lacking in your life, ladies!
So women who are not married with children are lacking in their lives? Rather presumptuous and kinda mean.
I had a feeling that Lea would finally explode about Marysol on this trip, and of course thanks to Joanna (again) all of it started in the dinner table. When I said I liked all the ladies at the dinner table, I meant it at that time from the bottom of my heart. Of course at that time I hadn’t seen any of the episodes. (Remember I filmed very little and didn’t engage much with the new girls.) I think we all feel a little different about each other after watching all of this.
For filming so little, Alexia sure brought the drama.
So this trip to Bimini that was supposed to be a fun, spiritual, and healing has been anything but that…
Please… viewers know better than to expect that from a “cast trip” by now and we also know that the housewives don’t expect that either.
As far as Karent’s relationship with Rodolfo, I don’t know them on a personal level and I don’t stick my nose in other people’s relationships. While we were in Bimini, Mom asked me to call her every day to fill her in on what was happening. I can never predict how my mother is going to react, but she was right about Karent’s personal life not being anyone’s business, and I couldn’t agree more. I know everyone felt uncomfortable having the article laying around so Alexia decided to rip it up and flush it down the toilet and it was never brought up again.
Too little, too late.
Ana decides to cook a lovely dinner and invite the other ladies over to our house. I was really looking forward to a nice meal and pleasant conversation, however the evening’s tone turned very quickly the minute we sat down. Let’s just say, there was no bread to break. First topic of conversation was Lisa Pliner and the big blonde and how he felt that I did not apologize even though I did -– twice. In efforts to eliminate expenses, Lisa texted me that she did not want to use James to host her event if he was going to charge her. Not only did she say it once, but twice in a text message and admitted it on camera to Ana and me -– end of story. She knew she couldn’t lie to me and tell me the story she told everyone else and get away with it, because I had the proof in a text message from her. Why did Lisa and the big blonde go to such great lengths to create all this drama? If I had to guess, it would be a combination of fame hungry sprinkled with the desperate desire to be on TV.
Guess we’ll just have to leave it at he/she said-she said.
Quite often, Lea likes to throw around contentious words like “denial” when she is talking or referring to me. She is right about one thing: I was in denial to ever believe she could have been my friend. She doesn’t know the true meaning of friendship or camaraderie; it seems she doesn’t like other women and thrives on hurting them with nasty insults. Let it be clear that just because someone is louder and more hysterically animated when they speak does not mean they are telling the truth. Just because I am calm and soft spoken by nature, does not mean I am hiding or omitting anything. No one knows what exactly happened at Lea’s gala except for her employees and mine. I know the conversation seemed confusing to the rest of the ladies and probably to the viewers, but that is the language of our business and if you weren’t an intricate part of the daily details, it is difficult to understand this situation.
Again… there is no way for viewers to know who did what to who nor who to believe about who did what to who… I don’t even think they know themselves. I predict no resolution… ever.
On one last note, I would like to say that while I was filming this season I was an emotional mess and there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t break down and cry at least three times. My parent’s health, 50 year marriage, and my marriage were all falling apart and subsequently so was I. I tried very hard to hide my tears and hurt for the cameras, but by the time we got to Bimini and Lea and I argued for what seemed hours, I just cracked. I know it seemed like a touching moment, but at the time Charles Manson could have hugged me and I would have collapsed in tears. I wish I could take back everything I said to Lea when she hugged me. Had I known all the things she had been saying behind my back on camera leading up to that dinner, things would have been quite different.
And this last sentence tells the whole story as to why we see so many relationships destroyed on Real Housewives. These ladies say things in their talking heads that the normal person may only think to themselves. Of course they are prodded by the interviewer. I’m sure there are times when we hear the housewives say something nasty about another in their TH, they were probably just told that “so and so called you a slut whore pig.” They also see things and hear things that are said behind their backs that those of us who don’t have our lives filmed would never be privy to. Let’s face it… ignorance can be bliss.
For me this episode showed the most laughter and the most tears.
I never laughed so hard as when Karent, the girls, and I were in the kitchen during breakfast. Even the chef was amused. When Karent started with the “shopping for diamonds” — really laughed till I cried. Karent: winner of an Emmy. So much fun.
And the tears, Lisa, so felt your pain. My hope for her is she can enjoy the process, because it’s just a matter of time before babies are on the way.
And then Karent’s dad getting sick and going to the hospital while she felt stranded there. Karent is so close to her parents, and she should be admired for how good she is to them and how she cares for them. Thank goodness that this story ended well, and that she was able to get off the island despite the weather and he’s now doing great.
So it was an interesting weekend filled with a little bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing.
And this blog was a whole lot of nothing. What you see here is all there is.
Things to think about this week:
Is it easier to speak to people to their face until everyone feels they’ve been heard? Or easier to speak behind everyone’s back and hope the gossip doesn’t get heard?
What things in life are worth one compromising truth and goodness for? Or if we just speak the truth and spread the goodness, can everyone win?
Is “looking good” so important to us that we would engage in untruthful or disingenuous behavior just to protect something we could perhaps just acknowledge and move forward from?
And gossip is a state of mind — geography doesn’t change it.
Spread the love, keep the peace, and #don’t deal with stupid.
For always saying “don’t deal with stupid,” we’ve sure seen Lea deal with a lot of stupid.
