New Producers for Real Housewives of New Jersey and Other News by NoMoreDrama
Melissa Gorga has given an interview to the HuffingtonPost, where she revealed that the Real Housewives of New Jersey will have new producers this season. Anyone reading the blogs will remember that the previous production team was accused of manipulating the show by becoming friends with the cast – specifically Melissa. I’m holding out a little hope that the upcoming season won’t be as transparently manipulated to cause trouble between the ladies. Last season was so toxic it was difficult to watch.
Jason Hoppy may have felt that Bethenny Frankel was emotionally straying in the last few months of their marriage. According to a source speaking to RadarOnline (and by now we know that half of the stuff they print is untrue) : “Jason doesn’t believe Bethenny cheated on him during the marriage and he would be devastated to find out if she did. However, Jason does think that the talk show host did emotionally stray during the final months of their marriage with one of her Skinnygirl colleagues. Bethenny just stopped communicating with Jason and he saw her just completely withdraw from the relationship. Jason did see Bethenny interact with one of her Skinnygirl colleagues the way she used to with him.”
Meanwhile Jason was again spotted wearing his wedding ring in New York.
Ramona Singer of the Real Housewives of New York gave an interview to TheStir where she dishes about:
- Her cast mates:”I’ll embrace anyone who is coming back.”
- Her reason for doing the show – to promote TrueFaithJewelry.
- Her former castmates – “Jill Zarin? “We talk; I’m fine with her; no one is perfect.” Kelly Bensimon? “We see each other, but you can’t talk to Kelly. You know that.”
- What pisses her off – the talking heads when people talk behind her back (she likes it when they say things directly to her face.)
- And Adiva “”I don’t dislike her.”
Lisa Hochstein seems to get along with all of her castmates on the Real Housewives of Miami, but she was given a seat on the couch beside Joanna Krupa – who is clearly at odds with Adriana de Moura. Lisa has given an interview where she explains that she isn’t on anyone’s team. She refused to choose sides all season, and she’s still neutral. Despite it appearing that she is closer to Joanna, she’s actually not been in touch much with Joanna since the season finished. As for Adriana – they’ve grown even closer as their husbands get along well. You can read more here.
Maloof’s sell the Sacramento Kings. After months of rumors and different scenarios being floated, yahoo is reporting that the Adrienne Maloof’s family’s NBA team – the Sacramento Kings – has been sold for $500 million dollars to a group from Seattle. Fans of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will no longer have to sit through the ladies wasting courtside seats and not having a clue what sport they are watching. The team will be renamed the Sonics. Seattle kept the name when they lost their team in 2008.
Project Runway All Stars “Couture de France” by BB
Tonight the remaining 4 designers (Uli, Emilio, Joshua and Anthony Ryan) travel to Paris to get inspiration from haute couture. They tour the House of Valentino and get invited to their couture show. The next day the designers do some sketching. Emilio is going to do a ball gown. Uli is going to do a dress that’s out there and inspired by Paris. They visit a popular fabric house in Paris and have difficulty deciding on fabrics because there is so much to choose from. Anthony Ryan chooses black, Emilio chooses red, and Joshua choses a floral pattern.
The designers go to the Valentino couture show and afterwards, Joanna tells them to take inspiration from what they’ve seen and get back to New York to make their own dreams. They arrive back in New York tired, but they know they don’t have time for tiredness. Uli’s dress is all these gold and black textures. Anthony Ryan’s dress isn’t working so he’s going to try something else.
Joanna visits Emilio and tells him not to let his appliques overwhelm his dress. Joanna tells Uli her dress may be a little gladiator looking. Joanna can’t quite envision Joshua’s dress as it’s only halfway done. Anthony Ryan is getting off to a slow start with his dress although Joanna loves the fabric he chose.
The models arrive and Uli’s dress is too big again. Emilio wants his model covered up because he thinks it looks regal that way. He’s having trouble with his sleeves. Anthony Ryan admits he’s struggling this week and it scares the crap out of him. They all finish the first day very tired.
The next day Emilio says he’s only about half way done and Joshua tells him he’s not alone in the work they have to do. Uli is worried about the lining of her dress, but it has to have a lining so she can’t really do anything about it. Anthony Ryan ends up being very happy about his dress.
Runway time. Cynthia Rowley is the guest judge. Joshua’s dress is up first and it really clashes from top to bottom. The top is a metallic/black couture look matched with a full floral skirt. I’m not sure I’m liking the fit of it on his model. Anthony Ryan’s dress is a deep black lacy looking dress that has kind of a Victorian look to it. It has a high collar on the sides and fits his model to a tee. It’s see through, but you really can’t see anything. Uli’s dress has a breast plate looking top and a lacy see through bottom. The back of it is a strip of fabric with a black strip in the middle, not sure if it’s a zipper or not. Emilio’s dress is striking because of the rich red fabric he chose. His model looks very regal walking down the runway. It’s demure.
Carolyn announces their gowns were truly spectacular. Two of the judges want to touch Emilio’s dress. Isaac loves the dress and tells Emilio he could have made it shorter so you could see the model’s foot. Georgina thinks it’s beautifully executed and Cynthia thinks it’s strong in its simplicity. Carolyn says she’s in fantasyland looking at the dress.
Georgina thinks Anthony Ryan’s model looks divine and can’t believe he didn’t use a lining. She thinks it’s brilliant because she can’t tell he didn’t use a lining. Isaac calls the side silhouette of the dress precious because it’s controlled and sexy in a very new way. Cynthia calls it beautiful and Carolyn tells him kudos, but she thinks the dress should breathe a little bit more.
Cynthia calls the mix of textures interesting in Uli’s dress, but she and Georgina don’t like the lining under the dress. Carolyn calls it a very Uli dress, but she doesn’t like the blob going up the back of the dress. Isaac thinks it looks great, but it’s not couture. He’s seen it everywhere.
Isaac appreciates the experimentation Joshua attempted, but thinks Joshua’s experiment doesn’t exactly work. Georgina thinks the floral is too small. Cynthia thinks the fit’s not right and Carolyn thinks the skirt’s shape is off to her, but she likes it.
Anthony Ryan is announced the winner and is the first the get a spot in the finale. Emilio is also safe and is in the finale. The judges cannot decide who to eliminate so Carolyn gives both Uli and Joshua one last chance to earn a spot in the finale. They have one hour to deconstruct their couture dresses and remake them into something totally different. They have to do it right there on the runway.
Joshua shortens the floral skirt of his dress and makes it into something more flirty. He reverses his lace top so the back becomes the front. I like it much better than his original dress. Uli uses the leftover lining fabric from her dress and makes a short drapey-looking dress with a lace shrug. Although I’m not a fan of it, Uli managed to come up with something unique. The judges still have a difficult decision and Carolyn asks them to write the name of the person on a card they would like to see move on to the finale. Uli is chosen as the third designer to go to the finale. I would have chosen Joshua only because he’s more creative than Uli and takes more chances, in my opinion.
Next week each designer will have four days to design a mini-collection for the runway and a winner will be announced.
