Go Seahawks, Gia’s Birthday Party and Other News by NoMoreDrama
Go Seahawks! The Seattle Seahawks take on the Atlanta Falcons this morning. The tie-in with the blog? Kim Zolciak of the Real Housewives of Atlanta is married to Kroy Biermann, who plays for the Falcons. Needless to say Kim and I will be rooting for different teams this morning.
In other housewife news (like anything else matters this morning), rumors are beginning to swirl that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy‘s divorce is all about publicity. More than one article popped up in my search on this, but you can read more here. They are just rumors as far as I can tell – probably stemming from someone speculating. Here’s a bit of the quote: “It wouldn’t surprise anyone at all if ….” The insider then goes on to talk about Gregg and NeNe getting back together (as an example of a relationship publicity stunt) and Jason still wearing his wedding ring. Here are my thoughts. The insider had no insider knowledge. I could share my thoughts on an issue and someone could call me an insider but that means nothing. Yes there are many fake breakup, boyfriends, and relationships on these reality shows. I see how it would help their ratings. I’m not sure about a talk show that isn’t even taping yet. And finally, Jason’s ring. To me that’s a sign he’s not ready to take it off yet and that’s about it.
Gia Giudice’s Birthday Party. Rumors are also swirling that the feud between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga is over. Apparently Melissa was invited to, and showed up for, Gia Giudice’s birthday party. We have photographic evidence (from Elvira’s twitter feed) that Milania was there!! Gia is twelve (shocking isn’t it – I thought she’d be 16 or so by now). Radaronline has a whole bunch of photos. Apparently Gia and her dance friends put on a show for the crowd that was “glow in the dark” and amazeballs. (Go Gia!). I know I’m excited to see that next year on the show!! Also in attendance were Jennifer Dalton, Kim DePaula, and Elvira the Party Planner (who put on the event). This sounds like a housewife party and not a family birthday party IMHO but who’s judging. I think we now know why Melissa was getting her hair done on the 11th. Meanwhile Teresa tweeted about Joey, “My poor brother with this horrible flu. Everyone, please, get your flu shot!” Maybe things are getting better for the family.
Today: Teresa’s dad was in the hospital again, but is on his way home. She just tweeted “Going to get my dad out of the hospital. Happy to be bringing him home on a Sunday!” Best wishes on a speedy recovery Teresa’s dad!!

Hey everyone, I have to apologize to you all but it’s not entirely all my fault. When I read our site each day, I see how other series’ blog recaps come soon after the show. With RHOA, the reviews always come on a Sunday…Saturday if you are lucky. Well, that being said…the ladies started the season in full swing blogging long blogs and the like. It took time to convey thoughts, etc. There were also quite a few. Well, throughout the season I started getting faster and knocking them out…then the ladies go silent for the most part. I look for a blog on Monday’s at lunch and nothing…Tuesday, nothing…Wednesday or Thursday one or two may pop up. Ok, I like to pace and I do the review as they come in…but where’s the cut off you know? On Friday nights, I go out…Saturdays, I spend time with family and friends, clean, cook…life. That being said on Friday’s if their blogs aren’t in by 1PM ET, I don’t think about them until late Saturday and then I freak…oh crap, I have to do these reviews. I just only wish these ladies would inundate me again so I could just knock them out in one fell swoop. I just wanted to clarify why it seems like the blogs have been lacking and late…it’s not all my fault…these ladies aren’t that involved in blogging expeditiously (or even at all like the past few weeks) like the other franchises, this is why you see some cast members missing, & by Sunday AM I’m sending to NoMoreDrama, & I have waited and waited as long as I can…nonetheless, I try. I hope you guys are still enjoying the reviews. Have a wonderful week! HilDogATL.
Cynthia begins her blog stating the obvious that it’s been some time since she has last blogged and she hopes we all had a Happy Holiday season. She then beats the Anguilla subject for the last time, I pray. She reiterates that she totally loves Anguilla and she believes it was a wonderful trip for all.
“NeNe and Kandi – The Talk!
Let me be the first to say how happy I was for NeNe and Kandi to sit down like grown women and discuss their issues with each other. I have spent time with both of these ladies, and I really never understood exactly why they had an issue with each other. I wasn’t trying to be messy by telling NeNe how Kandi felt. I wanted her to know, because I hoped it would actually prompt NeNe to sit down with Kandi and talk it out. That’s exactly what happened! I was clear with NeNe that Kandi did not say any of this in a mean spirited way, but these were Kandi’s feelings. I thought their conversation was fun, to the point, and productive. I was excited to see them squash it and move on!” I have say that it was a productive meeting and I hope these ladies can move forward and past any negativity from the past. Hate is not a pretty trait.
Cynthia then touches on the past with her and Kenya and that while she was not a Kenya fan in the beginning she recognizes that the other ladies befriended her and while they were def not ever going to be besties, they could at least be civil and courteous and able to interact with one another. “When Kenya gave me the book by Vanessa Williams at the beach, I was a little surprised! I was still on cloud nine after the vow renewal and honestly thought that we were in a good place at this point. BFFs no, cool yes! As soon as Kenya gave me my book/gift, I knew immediately that it was not with kind intentions. It was basically an attempt to “read” me and embarrass me in front of everyone, because of the Miss America comment I made at the Let Your Success Flow party. Here’s the good news: I love books and always consider them to be great gifts. I live for a good read! However, since I had already chatted with Vanessa Williams personally about my upcoming pageant, the book did not prove to be very useful. I guess even in this situation, it’s the thought that counts! Now the bad news: no one at the table really cared or entertained Kenya’s “mean girl moment,” and once again she failed get the attention she seems to so desperately want.
BTW “Beyonce,” had I known that you were going to gift me a book on the trip, I would have returned the favor. Have you ever read He’s Just Not That into You?”
Aww, Cynthia made a funny! No, on a serious note, I saw right through Kenya’s fake rear end. She knew what she was doing and it was tacky and classless once again. Who in their right mind gives a woman a book as a dig when she has just renewed her vows. I agree with Cynthia that Kenya tried so hard to make the day all about her and she wasn’t happy that she wasn’t the center of attention and all eyes on her. I have to say, if Kenya gets asked if she is Beyonce, I get hounded every time I go to the airport because I look like Kiera Knightly. Cynthia ends her blog by singing NeNe’s praises once again and that she is very happy that she has made it to Hollywood. She knows that NeNe will shine and that be very successful.
Well she starts her blog with none other than her announcement that she is engaged again to Gregg and that she loves him with all her heart. Ugh, we all know that this divorce was a farce. Sure, people separate and all but I really and truly feel like so many others that this was all for Bravo cameras and in hopes of a spin off but I digress. She then goes on to give thanks to all the ladies for supporting her in sending her off to Hollywood.
Nene then tells us about her ‘glambaby’. I’m sorry, you guys may think it’s cute and all (the name) but I can’t stand it. What is so wrong about being a grandmother? I had when “Hollywood” comes up with these stupid acronyms and putting names together. UGH. Ok, I’m done. On a more serious note, the baby is beautiful. I hope that the mother has some sense to keep this lil one grounded.
“Porsha says she doesn’t believe in a pre-nup — that’s easy for someone to say that hasn’t worked their butt off for their career. A pre-nup in my opinion is a smart way to protect what you’ve worked for or to make sure that things are split equally in case the relationship goes downhill.”
I must agree with Nene. Yes, it is a little different in the real world but when there are millions involved and wealth, you must protect yourself. Sadly, I think we all know someone in our lives who has been torn apart by divorce and been left penniless. I feel for all of those people.
“Walter and Kenya Fishing
They acted out that scene well! It was almost believable.”
Heck yeah NeNe, bloop, bloop! Classic. It was so scripted it was sick. That was a pond in the back of a neighborhood and who in the hell goes fishing with Gucci sneakers on? Dope! NeNe then ends her blog thanking us for watching and reminds us that the show time has changed to 8.
Ok guys, you may be upset with me for this one but I really have no words for this woman and her lies. She has 5 pages of explanations and lies on top of lies. It’s all a shame and Walter went on national radio to call her out on it because he was looking like the idiot and didn’t appreciate it. Well, you guys signed up for this act and you have made your bed. I suppose I have a few words to say but here is Kenya’s own words. Blech.
“This has been an incredible year for me! I wanted to make a drastic change in my life and that I did. I stepped outside of my comfort zone in order to achieve my personal goals. Adjusting to a new city, new friends, a new job, and a serious relationship hasn’t been easy to say the least.”
She then goes onto saying that NeNe’s grandchild is precious and she is very happy for her. She believes the straight talk she is giving Bryson is needed. How does she know? She has no kids or ever been married…bloop, bloop! She then talks about the scene with Kandi and Riley and how being a single mom can’t be easy.
Ooh Lawwhd. Here we go again:
“It’s amazing to me how one’s ENTIRE existence on the show revolves around me. In her every scene I’m being negatively talked about, demeaned, and berated with insults to anyone who will listen to her recreate the truth i.e. when Kordell stated in the prior episode that she has apologized four times, NOT TRUE. The truth is I immediately apologized to her in Anguilla and I have NEVER received an apology. The character assassinations on my personhood continue despite my desire to put it all behind me.
You can’t force a friendship but there is no need to fight or continue conflict. It’s just wasted time and energy. The insults she made in Anguilla were so hurtful that only time can heal those wounds. In the meantime, I’ve moved on and have been pleasant and cordial, and I hope that she can too without all the gratuitous nastiness.”
I agree that you can’t force friendships, this is life but seriously, she came off in their first meeting as a holier than thou woman and she tried her hardest to make herself the star of the show. I believe Kenya knew going into this experience that if she wanted airtime she had to bring the drama and sadly, the drama she brings comes across as her being cray-cray. But again, just my opinion. Kenya then touches on how it was nice of Cynthia to throw the party for NeNe and that it was a lovely time although one person tried to rain on the parade. Sorry, if Kenya was my sister, I’d emancipate myself too!
“I’ve always been the noncommittal person in a relationship. I was so eager to break that spell that I was willing to settle for someone who has since proven to be not good enough for me. The mark of a real man is honesty, courage, and strength. Walter said he loves me and he wouldn’t be there if he didn’t. Yet his body language, his nonchalant and often cold tone, and his lack of affection toward me said loud and clear: I DON’T WANT TO MARRY YOU. So why lead me on? Why waste my time? Why humiliate me in front of the world? I was so focused on making the relationship work that I lost the one important counsel that I always give to other women: Look to a man’s actions and not his words. I am embarrassed but I hope that all women can learn from the mistakes I’ve made in love.” OMG-YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED OUT! IT WAS ALL BAD ACTING! If this woman had any sense or a good PR person she would just shut up. You can’t lie with lies. There is no truth in my opinion to anything that comes out of this woman’s mouth. Had she owned up to her lies, maybe I could give her another change but at this point her spin control stinks. She then goes onto say that she is single and it is a blessing because she’d rather be alone than treated poorly. Blah, blah. She also says she appreciates her “fans” for sending words of encouragement, yada, yada. FANS? Who is a fan? Ok, I’m done, thank goodness!
Porsha begins her blog catching us up with her holidays and how Kordelle made their time special. They spend a week at the St. Regis (must be nice) and that she is thankful for the quality time she had with friends and family.
She then touches on how beautiful NeNe’s grandchild is and that she is looking forward to baby sitting soon. She also tells us that she understands Riley’s protectiveness toward’s Kandi since they have always been with one another (much like her mom) and that it is hard to share as a child the person who is your world. She loves that Todd, Riley & Kandi are a little family.
“That brings me to my day shopping for furniture with Kandi. First let me share with you the name of the store, since I received so many questions about it — Mathews’ Furniture Galleries. It is where I purchased the majority of our furnishings. What I love most about the store and the reason I took Kandi there is that for a creative decor lover it is a playground. I chose the majority of the fabrics, wood finishes, and frames for most of the pieces in my house. I guess it’s safe to say I have a thing for home decor. Here’s a thought, maybe soon I’ll do something with that talent…
Well let’s jump right in to when Kandi asked me if I had a pre-nup. I was thrown completely off. I really like her and felt comfortable with her, but here I am about to answer a personal question for the world to see. So I just fly out with a no. In my opinion a marriage is a sacred union between two people coming together as one with love being that foundation — being one in mind, body, and spirit. This means I want to agree with my husband and have like minds, I want to bond with him in the flesh (meaning anything that has to do with the natural things, whether it’s a sexual, monetary, or family issue etc.). I also want to become one spiritually with my husband so that we are equally yoked. We have the same beliefs when it comes to God and how WE have our purpose shown to us by God. So through bonding with him in mind, body, and spirit there is no place for a piece of paper to stand between us. However I totally can see anyone else’s point of view and understand why she or anyone else would choose to have one. For me I see it as a “to each his own” issue.”
Ok guys, I know I have given Porsha a pass this season but it slightly ends here. Yes, I get her point about it being a union between her husband and God and that it is something that they take seriously. I really do get it. I also get the fact that while Porsha’s family is wealthy and well known in Atlanta, Porsha really has lived in the shadows of her family. I really don’t see her making any of her own money before she married Kordelle. That being said, she really doesn’t have much to lose in the monetary side on her own. What she does have to consider is that Kordelle made her a housewife. This is what she knows, this is her life. God forbid something did happen and the marriage went bust. What does she have left? She has nothing promised to her. Sure, she could probably get spousal support but it wouldn’t keep her lifestyle the way it is. Sadly, women put all their trust in a man and sometimes it doesn’t work and they are left with nothing. I hardly doubt Porsha would ever really struggle financially. But nonetheless, like I said earlier, when there is a substantial financial loss or gain prenups, even small one’s are a smart decision.
Porsha finshes her blog by telling us she has to run to the store because she always forgets something and this time it was bread and turkey. Funny, I love her but I totally see her forgetting lots of things. However, something tells me Porsha laughs at her own mistakes! That’s refreshing. And she finishes with a wonderful funny! “Oh I almost forgot, did I tell you all that everyday somebody says I look like Lady Gaga? LMBO! I know you’re thinking what I’m thinking, I totally resemble her more than one of my cast mates looks like Beyonce. Haha!” THAT’S FUNNY!
