Brad Goreski runs into Taylor at Barneys and Other News by NoMoreDrama

Brad Goreski runs in to Taylor at Barneys.  That’s right, the two former assistants to Rachel Zoe ran into each other, and Brad snapped a picture.  Brad explains on his blog that Taylor hasn’t changed a bit.  Every piece of her clothes had leather on it, and her trademark choppy hair was still in her face.  Wouldn’t it be great to see TayTay on Brad’s show?

In last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump was embarrassed when co-stars used the word vagina in their conversation.  Last night she poked a little fun at herself on twitter, retweeting some of the other – less direct – names people came up with for their private area.  But in the end she grew serious, tweeting this: “Words don’t offend me as much as betrayal. Actions speak much louder.”  Perhaps that was in response to the preview for next week, that showed Camille Grammer exercised about Lisa’s “ownership” in the restaurant featured on Vanderpump Rules.  Lisa confirmed (on twitter) that she is an owner of SUR- 51 percent share – compared to the Maloof Family’s 2 percent share in the Palms hotel.

Brandi Glanville also had a funny tweet last night “Dont tell A.M but i am gonna nap! Didnt sleep well last night cuz of nerves for this am and tonight! Kids home in 2 hrs so im gonna chilax” This  was in response to Adrienne Maloof’s accusation that Brandi naps all day.  Brandi is trying to sell her book – Drinking and Tweeting.  She has promised to stop talking about LeAnn Rimes once she’s finished promoting the book.

Lisa Hochstein Explains Why she’s Suing over a Blog Comment. It turns out the person Lisa Hochstein (from Real Housewives of Miami) is suing over a defamatory blog comment was someone Lisa knew and who had been in Lisa’s home.  That explains why Lisa choose to address the defamatory remark rather than ignore it.  We’ll see how this one plays out.  You can read the story here.

Once again, a housewife is calling out RadarOnline for a false story.  This time it’s Bethenny Frankel, who denied (on twitter) that she was writing a book about being a single mom.  This is getting annoying.  I think I’ll stop recapping stories from unnamed sources because more often than not they turn out to be untrue.  That said – RadarOnline has a story out that Jason is refusing to let Bethenny take Bryn on a business trip to Australia and her lawyers are trying to fight it.  But it’s from an unnamed source, so …

“As smart as you all are, you get a lot of info from gossip rags. Know your sources. Perpetuating false nonsense is how they make a living.”

Bethenny Frankel tweet – not sure who she’s talking to but I’ll  take her advice to heart – NMD.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “Stars and Strips” by BB

RHOBH 36At Yolanda’s house, she greets her friend Suzanne Somers, whom she’s known for about six years.  Lisa and Kyle arrive together and meet Suzanne. The food Yolanda prepared looks yummy. Suzanne has written books on health and they discuss how to live longer and have a great sex life.  They try to get Lisa to spill about her sex life, but all Lisa will say is it works and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

RHOBH 37Brandi was asked to host Brandi’s night school for girls in Vegas so she goes to a studio beforehand to learn some moves for the class she’ll be participating in with actual professional pole and burlesque dancers.  I recognize Shelia Kelly, the owner/instructor from somewhere.  Let me go google.  Yep, she was an actress on L.A. Law and Sisters.  I watched both of those shows.  I remember her on L.A. Law, but not Sisters.  That was fun to watch and Brandi seems like a natural.  Take note, Kyle, Brandi can also do the splits.

RHOBH 31Speaking of Kyle, her daughter Sophia is graduating from the sixth grade and they have invited friends and family to celebrate.  Funny, I don’t remember throwing a big party for either of my kids when they graduated from sixth grade.  I remember attending a little to do at their school and maybe going out for pizza or something afterwards.  Faye is there and so are Adrienne and Paul.  Kim is  not there because apparently Chad, her grown son, is sick and Kathy isn’t there because of a hurt tooth or something.  This party doesn’t seem like it’s for Sophia at first.  It seems like it’s so Adrienne and Paul can give Faye a big ole pat on the back for taking Brandi down at Kyle’s dinner.  After the Debbie-downers leave (Paul and Adrienne), things seem to go back to the purpose of the party, which is Sophia’s graduation.  Her grandmother makes a touching speech.  Kyle gets emotional because her mom isn’t there with them, but she says she is there in spirit. Kyle didn’t mention her dad.  Did she grow up knowing him?  Is he still living I wonder?

Kim is hanging pictures of her kids in her house. She’s decided she’s going to get a nose job. More on that later.

RHOBH 35 (1)Brandi’s friend Adrienne (not THAT Adrienne) is helping Brandi pick out clothes for her trip to Vegas.  Brandi says her fashion sense hasn’t change since she was 19.  OK, I’m going to be nasty here, but does Marisa’s mom look like someone who should be giving out fashion advice?  That’s all I’m going to say about the conversation between Marisa and her mom.  Meanwhile Ken is enjoying watching Lisa pack for the trip.  Lisa says she doesn’t want to wrap her legs around a Chipmunk or a pole.  Do you think Lisa means a Chippendale?  Lisa’s not sure what the trip is all about but her suitcase has lots of pink in it, surprise, surprise.

RHOBH 33It’s Vegas time.  Along for the trip are Brandi, Lisa, Camille, Kyle, Marisa and Brandi’s friend Jennifer.  They are staying at the Palms.  Just seeing if you were paying attention.  They are staying at the Four Seasons.

RHOBH 40Back at Yolanda’s, she’s making yet another scrumptious meal.  She’s puts it bluntly that men love beautiful women and beautiful women love rich men and that some women will “do” your husband for a Chanel bag.  However, when you find your true love, it should be easy.  She loves catering to her husband’s needs and he is the King of her house.  Her chocolate soufflé didn’t turn out very well, but the rest of the dinner looks delicious and the atmosphere is great.  I agree with her that men are pretty simple beings and sex and food pretty much keeps them happy.  If that’s not feminist sounding enough, oh well. It’s pretty much true.

RHOBH 34 (1)The Vegas ladies go out for dinner.  Kyle tells them all about her store.  Kyle will be inviting everyone to her party for her store opening.  Yolanda will be arriving to Vegas the next day (because she’s busy pleasing her man).  Marisa is asked if she misses her man and she says no, she misses her babies.  Brandi tells Marisa that what she said about her husband not being her type at the previous dinner made her feel sorry for Dean. Marisa says they have a banter that people read wrong and that she knows how lucky she is to have her husband.  Brandi doesn’t want her to forget that and doesn’t want her to screw it up.  They talk about what Brandi has been going through with her divorce, Kelsey and Camille’s sex life or lack thereof, Kyle not being able to go on if it happened to her, Leanne’s desperation to be like Brandi, etc. etc. etc.  They also talk about lady parts, but I’m like Lisa, too much information.  Looks like this dinner was a big success and a good time was had by all.  Brandi tells Lisa she WILL be pole dancing tomorrow.

RHOBH 42Back to Kim and her nose.  What’s wrong with Kim’s old nose?  She just wants to have a change for the sake of changing.  She says she likes her face and even the doctor doesn’t see that much that needs to be changed on her nose.  Talk about unnecessary surgery.

The next day, the Vegas ladies are sitting around the pool drinking more alcohol.  Yolanda shows up and they have a lovely breakfast.  Yolanda has some kind of green spinach drink that looks gross.  Later they all go to the studio to do some pole dancing and some burlesque.  RHOBH 41Lisa makes a crack by asking Brandi why she’s not supporting Adrienne by pole dancing at the Palms.  Kyle tells Brandi she’s going to act like a difficult disgruntled student, to which Brandi implies it probably wouldn’t be “acting.”  Brandi is nervous doing her presentation in front of her friends.  She struggles a little, but they give her suggestions on what she needs to say.  It was nice of them to support her.  Next week we’ll see who pole dances and who doesn’t.

Watch What Happens Live by BB

Yolanda Foster and Callie Thorne (Necessary Roughness) are the guests tonight.  Yolanda’s hair looks a little more blonde blonde than the white blonde shade she had on the housewives, and it’s pulled back into a pony tail.  There are lemons all over the studio.

Yolanda loves Hermes belts and wears them all the time.  Andy is obsessed with Yolanda’s fridge and it has its own twitter account – Yolanda’s Fridge.  Yolanda’s daughter GiGi looks just like Yolanda when she was young as they show pictures of Yolanda when she used to be a model.

David and Yolanda invite all their exes for Christmas and they get along with all of them fine.  She’s still wearing a port for her antibiotic treatments she’s still taking for her Lyme disease.  She realized her brain wasn’t working properly during the shooting of RHOBH.  She said something really bad to Taylor and that’s not how she normally spoke, so she knew something was not right.

At least Callie knows all about the housewives and can participate in the conversation.  If she were to invite any of them to dinner it would be Lisa, Brandi, Kyle and Yolanda of course.

Yolanda and Carole Radziwell are friends and were before the show.  Yolanda’s garden is about five acres and she planted everything in the garden herself.  Yolanda admits she’s old fashion and she loves catering to her husband.  It makes her more powerful and stronger as a woman.

Game.  Does Yolanda know these famous people?  Andy shows a famous person’s picture.  Callie guesses if Yolanda knows them.  Liza Minelli?  Callie says yes and Yolanda says no.  John Mayer?  Callie says no, Yolanda says yes.  Angelina Jolie? Callie says no.  Yolanda says no.  Diana Ross?  Callie says yes.  Yolanda says yes.  Snoop Lion (Snoop Dog)?  Callie says no.  Yolanda says no.  Jay-Z and Beyonce?  Callie says she knows Jay-Z, but not Beyonce.  Yolands says she knows neither.  Michelle Obama?  Callie says no. Yolanda says no.  Andy says he purposely tried not to include just music people since she knows so many of them.

No poll tonight.

One tweeter wants to know if Yolanda will send her some lemons for her wedding in Idaho in September because she’s a bride on a budget. Yolanda promises she will definitely do it.

Yolanda was fun and not serious at all.  I’m liking her more and more.

Good morning everyone. It’s so much warmer. High 60s tomorrow. A little reprieve from the cold is good.

Did anyone follow The Following last night? It was so good. I was tweeting The Following asking them to stick a needle in Carroll’s eye. He is so evil.

    Well have a great day.

  5. Good Morning!

Thanks for the blog NMD & BB! I enjoyed last night’s BH episode. It was lighter, fun and….Addy (mostly) and Taylor free! It was good to see the ladies in LV having good dinner and conversation.

Hope you all have delightful Tuesday!

New post, “Tuesday Affirmations”, is up at my place. Enjoy!

  6. Contessa says:

    Hi All,

My comments on last nights episode it was just okay…I enjoyed most of it, but the whole Kim redoing her nose was crazy. She needs to do a brow/eye lift before her brows fall into her eyes.
She apparently has the money/connections for this and can have this done without it being super
stretched with the right surgeon. I don’t see anything wrong with her nose???? Kyle should talk, she told her she needs her nose done, but vile has warts on her face or some sort of growths that she can have removed very easily. How is Kim going to take pain medication after her nose surgery? Being an alcoholic/drug addict will make it very difficult and nose surgery is painful as I have had friends who had this done.

I liked that the women brought up slimey leann who copies every move of Brandi’s. Slimey is so transparent and stupid and cannot see what kind of a copycat she is? Doesn’t she have any friends that will tell her to stop as she is making an a$$ of herself. Still don’t like vile kyle and when I saw the preview of Camille attacking Lisa about not owning Sur, what was that about – Lisa owns controlling interest in Sur 51% – and it’s been all over the web since this previewed last night.
What I want to know is will Ad sue all the ladies for going to the 4 Seasons instead of the Palms?
The 4 Seasons is much classier than the Palms could ever be.

    • melthehound says:

More importantly will she sue Ken for asking Lisa if that’s where they were going? I looked while they were driving around LV, I didn’t even See the Palms. So will she sue Bravo for not even showing it?

WTF is with Kim and these ‘organization’ scenes? Last season we had the dresser drawers with the maid, this time, the pictures. She’s back to not participating it seems too.

      • T-Rex says:

Kim has zero storyline yet again because frankly, her kids don’t really want to be on the show, she doesn’t seem to have any friends outside her family, this may be why she is an alcoholic, she seems to be still medicated on “something” just not alcohol. She is living in some other world, not reality at all, IMO. This fake “set up” nose job scene was just plain stupid, I guess now that she has gone from contemplating her navel, then her boobs, I guess nose was the next item on the agenda, maybe the advertising for the Plastic Surgeon is how Kim and VileKyle are paying for all of their botox. Bravo why is Kim on the show, she is nothing more than a prop, I think it’s time to weed out Kim, ShannaTaylorNotFordLyingGrifterHusbandStealingHoBagLypsMcgee and the HoofMaloof! You know some of us like the show when there isn’t all this DRAMA and just watch some fabulous folks go about their fabulous lives, again JMO

        • L.A. Chica says:

Does Kim need the income she earns from the show? If not, maybe she just needs something to keep her sort of busy? It’s a mystery to me.

T-Rex, I so agree with you about just wanting to watch the ladies have fun, I don’t like the negative drama. There’s enough BS we have to deal with in real life, whether personally or via the news. Here’s to escapism! (lifting glass of spinach-fruit smoothie in toast)

        • melthehound says:

Didn’t she actually have the nose job though? I saw someone last night mention she is a ‘dry drunk’ meaning, I guess, that even though she may not be on something, her brain is still pickled from the past several years of self abuse. On Celeb Rehab, with Dennis Rodman, Dr Drew showed that that amount of abuse actually kills parts of the brain. I don’t remember him mentioning if it ever comes back though. I suspect, that is what Kim has done to herself and she may never return to Normal. Somehow I doubt she even knows what ‘normal’ looked like for herself.

I enjoyed the show sans Lips McGee. I can’t even stand to listen to her voice especially when she gets that on the verge of crying sound to it. It isn’t that I don’t like so see or hear a woman cry (I don’t) but that from her I truly believe it is fake. Once the show got past the hoof kissing the fayker’s ass, the show was fun to watch. I thought I was going to puke when Kyle was talking about how great Big Kathy was during that graduation party.

      • Kansas Girl says:

They did show it! And I laughed that they drove past.

        • melthehound says:

Did they? Must have been a fleeting moment because I missed it. Just like the Martyr has missed many opportune moments to promote herself in a positive light.

      • contessa says:

I think she is either drinking or heavily tranquilized/medicated. She is embarassing to watch and I hope she is not driving. Jeff and Mel you are both right (notice I write ot the dog as I believe he can read and understand) she is not participating and I also have a feeling some of the wives just don’t want to deal with her. She is rather pathetic and needs to off this show for good.

        • melthehound says:

I think they ask where she is to be polite. I certainly don’t think she should be on a show that at every turn encourages drinking. I don’t think she’s strong enough for the temptation. In contrast, Brandi’s friend Jennifer seems a lot better equipped to deal with the temptation of being around it.

Sometimes I wonder about the dog and what he understands. 😉

      • VV says:

Jeff, they did show The Palms for a microsecond. They were showing shots different hotels very rapidly and Charo’s 2% property was shown.

    • lizzle says:

From the previews… it looks like Season 1 Camille is back. I like her as the villainess who makes out with her married friend and tells Kelsey to fire Mo as their real estate agent… as opposed to the Camille that hides in the bathroom when the going gets tough. I am interested to see what prompted Season 1 Camille’s anger.

      • princesspindy says:

When Camille said, “But you don’t own SUR.”, it sounded just like the Tea Party when she was talking to Taylor and I just hope that she stands up and drops her napkin and says, “And that’s not cool.” and walks off, cuz that was the best ever! My daughter and I still quote that line, lol.

        • T-Rex says:

Everyone thinks Camille is “smart” she isn’t, she purports herself to be, but again she isn’t. She is a z-list former actress that made her money doing softcoreporn until she married Kelsey Grammar, and let’s face it until he cheated on her and left her, she thought he was all that and a bag o’money, you don’t accuse someone of not owning a restaurant, especially in LisaVpumps circle of friends, unless you know the truth. Hmmmm maybe that’s the reason she was relegated to “friend” of the Housewives. You know what, LisaVpump could have sued her for that, it could affect her business, but she wouldn’t dare why, she has class and tact, something Camille and the HoofMaloofs lack. Money cannot buy you class, and those two idiots are clear examples. I have not liked Camille from day one, and still don’t, never bought her “act” last season. She cheated on her husband just like he cheated on her(allegedly).

          • rabblerouser2010R says:

I don’t think Camille having a less of a role on HW has anything to do bumping heads with Lisa. From what I recall, Camille had chosen not to come back this season because she wanted to focus on her person issues and her children and didn’t want to obligate herself to all the demands of filming…but in the end Bravo had negotiated with her and let just turn up when she was available.

I’m not a lawyer but I am not sure what Camille said would be cause for a law suit. I am pretty sure for a cause of action, you have to show you had actual damages and it seems like this thing was nipped in the bud pretty quickly.

I also don’t think Lisa and or Ken would be above suing someone if they had grounds or a reason to. Filing a lawsuit against someone doesn’t mean you are necessary classless (although we all know that the system does get abused A LOT).

            • Cartwheels says:

All this time I have thought that the reason why Camille didn’t want to do the RHBH full time was because of her boyfriend.
Does anybody remembers the scandal last year between Camille and her ex-BF baby momma? I know there was a tape released and there was a very messy situation. I think that the only way that Camille had to effectively block the negative leaks about her BF was to downsize her participation on the show. JMO

              • rabblerouser2010R says:

I remember all that drama too but I think the decision came before that story broke…but either way it seems like she wanted to keep a low profile as opposed to having a fall out with Lisa or Brandi.

        • Powell says:

LOL. I think thats one of the best HW lines.

    • Powell says:

Contessa I was on Twitter last night & someone asked Camille “how does it feel that Lisa follows everyone except her”. Camille responded “How do you think I should feel?”. So I guess Lisa not following Camille, therefore is not friendly w/Camille is what that stems from. Camille saw just like we did Lisa, Ken & their partners talking about the SUR partnership so I don’t understand Camille.

Don’t the Maloofs own a very, very small percentage of The Palms now? I would imagine they really have no say in operations. The partners just needed their money. Adrienne would have a lot of nerve if she even brought up The Palms to the group.

      • melthehound says:

The number I keep seeing tossed around is 2%

        • Powell says:

Dang. Can you have your stay comped w/2% ownership? They have to pay to stay in their own hotel don’t they? No more owner suites.

      • VV says:

Powell, Camille gets asked on Twitter that same question every so often. Why isn’t Lisa following her? Her reply a few weeks ago was that she didn’t know but that her dog follows her ( meaning Giggy) 😆
Camille has never been a fan of Lisa. It goes back to S1, continued on S2 and is manifesting on S3. Camille is clearly Team Charo. However, not sure if it’s convenience or true friendship.

    • Catseye says:

Ha-ha, that was so funny about the warts/growths Kyle has on her face. True, you can go to a dermatologist and get those removed very easily. Gretchen has a lot, too.

  7. L.A. Chica says:

Good morning! Last night I was interrupted in my RHOBH viewing so I’ll need to finish watching on the DVR today.

I was just finishing reading everyone’s comments from yesterday’s blog and must say something about a comment made about people who choose not to have a drink, whether occasionally or ever, regardless of reason. Here’s what I said over there (but I’m cleaning up my typos this time!):

People who are old enough to drink are grown ups and can make up their own minds when and if they want to drink. They don’t owe anyone an explanation. If someone turned down dessert would you badger them about it or think they had an eating disorder?

Yolanda does drink on the show, she just doesn’t drink at every opportunity and she doesn’t get drunk. As for being judgmental, Yo does dislike drunken behavior. I have to side with her there, people tend to act stupid when they’re drunk. Where she loses me is when she says there’s nothing uglier than a drunk *woman.* IMHO I’d not limit that description to women.

    • Powell says:

I agree w/you LA Chica. I think drunkeness doesn’t look good on anyone either but especially a woman.

    • trudie says:

      Hear hear!

    • L.A. Chica says:

      Thanks, Powell and Trudie! 🙂

After re-reading what I said, I realize posting it here was too out of context. The discussion was about Andy Cohen teasing Yolanda on WWHL becsuse she declined to join him in having a drink. I was replying to someone who (if I understood her correctly) has admitted to questioning someone when they turn down the offer of an alcoholic beverage. At least on reality TV she feels that some sort of subtle explanation is in order, but I disagree. I don’t think any explanation is necessary, whether on reality TV or in our real lives. I think questioning or teasing or whatever makes a bigger deal out of that person’s choice than is necessary, and it’s really no one’s business.

I have lots of friends who don’t drink. Some are recovering alcoholics, one is diabetic, a few simply don’t like the way it tastes or makes them feel. I won’t drink socially if I’ve got a medical appointment the next day or have a long drive home or am trying to lose a little weight, and sometimes I just am not in the mood. Other times I am.

I hope that helps to clarify what and why I posted that.

      • chismosa says:

Hi Chica i responded a bit on the older blog- i see what you mean but i find that people are SO quick nowadays to label someone an ‘alcoholic’ because they enjoy drinking liquor. I don’t know if it’s because i come from a Mediterranean old-style ~~live till your 100 years old~~mentality of a bit of wine every day is good for you, whatever– but on a reality show i think it’s such bull $hit. Like, you come into a show well into it’s whatever season, you know people readily drink on this show, you should not come in as a prima donna. I think it makes it run more smoothly, i should have said, if some sort of mild explanation is put out.

I don’t drink often at all, but i’m very ‘happy drunk’ so i’m happy to be blessed with that, i guess, i have friends in AA, i have an uncle who was a functioning/ secret alcoholic who we never knew about until after his autopsy. You can’t be around this world and not know someone who has had a problem. Plus, i have many Irish and English friends (just kidding ;), but…. they tell me it’s not really a joke because many times it’s sadly, true. Just look at the problems England has with their pubs. Unbelievable.)

I think people are very type-A and afraid to lose a sense of control and to me, alcohol is the last acceptable, and in many ways healthful in a way— (like i said above, in many cultures alcohol does actually lead to longer lives — not binging though!)— it is enjoyable and anything that has been around since my ancestors in a cave is acceptable to me. I’m pretty ‘paleo’ in that sense.

There ain’t nothing wrong with NOT drinking but i think in the context of a reality show it lends something to your character when you shun it a lot and/or start making judgements of those around you who choose to drink. Jesus drank. I’m sure Gandhi, Mohammed, the Buddha, etc. drank.
But i did not know YoYo did actually drink—- i don’t watch the show, so you corrected me i was wrong.
I just love the fact she finally says what i wish someone would always say ‘learn f-ing English if you want to live and work in this country’. I come from two immigrant parents and we don’t stand for speaking non-English in this country. Someone speaks automatically to my mother in Spanish, she answers in English. So i do love Yo for that.

Wondering if those were extensions in her hair though– very bumby at the scalp area, or was that intentional? Her hair is so long. She seems ok to me. Again, i don’t watch BH.

        ok, just wanted to clarify

        • Beckygrey says:

I have to admit that I have done it. I was trying to get to know a gentleman and I said I would like to go to a wine tasting. He told me that he didn’t drink but he would go with me. I questioned why he didn’t drink asking if he had an issue with alcohol. My thinking was if he had an issue with alcohol then our opportunity to further our relationship was over. The second thing was, if we were to remain “just friends” and he was alcoholic I would make sure that I never involve him in plans that involved alcohol.
Turns out that his religious background was a major factor.
So I have to rethink when people say they don’t drink. I didn’t drink until I was 27. I drink socially (maybe once every 6 months).Thank you for opening my eyes.

          • chismosa says:

Yeah I only drink socially and it’s really not that often. I’d like to drink a glass of wine or so more often, for the benefits. I think also growing up in a house where alcohol is not this huge forbidden thing also helped me. Once you take away the big deal of something, it’s not so Big anymore. And you don’t want it as much 🍷🍸🍻

            • L.A. Chica says:

Geez, I’m a lush compared to you two! 😉 Really, I have a glass or two of wine at LEAST once a week.

Chismosa, I grew up in a similar household where drinking wine or beer was the norm and no fusses were made. What I’m trying to say, and maybe I’m saying it badly, is that by teasing someone about their choice to NOT drink, a big deal and a fuss IS being made about alcohol.

When I said “question” I meant in a challenging way. I personally don’t see anything wrong with asking honestly out of curiosity, but if the person answers that they simply don’t drink then I think it’s rude to push for an explanation beyond that. They don’t owe anyone an explanation why they don’t drink, it’s an adult making a personal decision that affects no one but themselves.

I’ve seen some people badger others over it, as if someone declining to drink is going to make the drinker look bad or they assume they’ll be judged. Why are they being so defensive about their *own* choice, is what it makes me wonder. Just let it go, enjoy yourself and let everyone else enjoy themselves in their own way. Live and let live.

Btw, we believe Jesus imbibed, yes, but I’m sure Mohammed did NOT. Drinking alcohol is banned in the religion of Islam. Ghandi and Buddha? Maybe, but there’s no historical basis for assuming they did.

I see the use of language similarly to alcohol. Chismosa, you’d hate living in L.A. if you dislike hearing other languages spoken! It’s all here: Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, Farsi – you name it. I’ve heard my Vietnamese neighbor (who speaks perfect English) meander in conversations with family, going from English to French to Vietnamese and back again. Maybe it’s because I grew up hearing foreign languages, but it doesn’t bother me at all – in fact I like the sound and would love to learn how to converse in them.

That’s not to say I don’t think people should make best efforts to learn English when they move to the U.S., of course they should. But I don’t believe that means they should *never* be allowed to speak in their native tongue. Sometimes I think we’re as bad as the French when it comes to our attitude towards language! LOL

              • chismosa says:

Hi Chica, in case you see this–i know what your main point was and i’m sorry i did go off-topic mostly! I see what you mean and you are right, there should be no badgering about this but i’m afraid i’d fall victim to really wondering why someone was not drinking. Especially in the environments on these shows. The best example, really, is Lilly of Shahs of Sunset, if she saw any of season 1 she would have seen that all they seem to do is party, party, party! So she should know she would come off as such a Downer. But of course i respect others’ choices and should not force anyone to explain anything. Then again, after a few drinks, you know some, especially i, would be like ‘so why aren’t you drinking!’ in a funny way, hopefully not maliciously.
Oh and when i was mentioning Mohammed, i was thinking- damn this man should not have drank because in true Islam they don’t drink, but who knows? So i’m sure you’re right. Just like real muslims would fast for ramadan and would not drink, all of which i believe there are Muslims who don’t follow that. Just like most of the Catholics i know who were ‘against’ pre-marital sex but did not ‘practice’ that. (the SNL skit of Joe Biden being Roman Catholic demonstrates that and i think it’s the most part true of most Catholics i know, but not ALL of course!) I mean i personally feel Jesus most probably had sex with women but that is just chosen to not be mentioned biblically, or released if there is evidence of that, so for some reason certain sects of Christianity feel celibacy is a must for the priests. See, another tangent i went off on! omg,….. i am the same with my girlfriends it’s terrible! 😉

The language thing is the same here in NY, mostly in the city,Manhattan but also in the most culturally diverse county i believe of the country- Queens. Oh i was right– from Wiki: “Queens is the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world.”
So, we see it, i don’t mind ‘hearing it’ but in one’s own home, not in front of others who clearly don’t understand you. But then again, i’m following in my mother’s footsteps unfortunately in feeling that we shouldn’t really hear it. But it’s tricky in this country as it’s a country of foreigners. But….. many countries in Europe are falling prey to this problem (northern Europe and central Europe having a large Muslim/ Arab/ Turkish popluation), and i don’t want to label it a ‘problem’ but when it comes to nationality in countries not as diverse as ours, it’s an ‘issue’ for them that is very new.
Just like whenever i go to other countries, it’s rude if i try not to speak in their language, key word ‘try’…. lol.

But i got your point, & i apologize for going off on a tangent!
Best to you on the west coast, i love LA!

She’s also on a lot of medication. She can’t drink right now.

  8. RealHousewifeVA says:

Camille tweeted that she regrets her comment about SUR since she was misinformed.

Lisa never said she was 100% owner, and even on the opening of VR, she said she has a partner. In the preview clip for next week she doesn’t even blink when she responds to Camille’s claim that she doesn’t own SUR. “Yes I do. I own 51%. I invested that money into it”. These ladies should really stop trying so hard to discredit Lisa. 51% is a big difference from Maloof Hoof’s 2% in the Palms.
IMO, these ladies HATED that Lisa got the coveted spin-off show.

    • Pghemtchick says:

I just wonder who misinformed her… Is this where her and Brandi officially fall out? I know there is animosity for the big secret, but Camille is being all 2 faced sweet ATM. Does this dig at Lisa cause a bigger rift?

      • melthehound says:

Or is Bravo showing stuff out of the actual context that it really happens. Remember what we are dealing with here my friends.

      • VV says:

I’ll put my money on a bernie the cook and Cedric combo.

      • Beckygrey says:

I think so. Camille said she and Brandi were very close for awhile. She then said they are not as close. I believe maybe Camille siding with A had left a bad taste in Brandi and Lisa ‘s mouth. Camille coming for Lisa would never sit well w Brandi.

    • pat says:

Re Camille, I just think “someone’s trying to be relevant!” Seemed a silly thing for her to blurt out. She has no dog in this fight.

Is anyone else getting a blank page on Bravo’s blog page for the BH housewives?

    • Powell says:

I totally believe Kyle and Adrienne don’t like that Lisa has her spin-off. They don’t get it. Lisa doesn’t take herself so seriously, she works hard, is funny & is a girly girl. That’s ratings gold to Bravo.

      • Laineylainey says:

They are all jelly. But i think Brandi ‘ain’t.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

I agree that they are probably jealous, although I am not sure if this ‘spin off’ is very helpful to Lisa. From what I have seen it seems like more of a hindrance and it makes me to want to not eat at SUR. I think a Lisa V spin off would have been more interesting if they made it more like “Kitchen Nightmares” where Lisa goes in and ‘fixes’ other restaurants.

  9. L.A. Chica says:

Great recaps, NMD and BB! Now I know what to watch for when catching up on the DVR, and I don’t feel so badly about forgetting to record WWHL, though it would have been fun to see.

BB, at Sophia’s graduation party Kyle did say “my mom and dad.” I believe her father passed away a long time ago, not sure when.

If Bravo insists on foisting Faye on us this season then the least they could do is dub her voice in some obscure language that hardly anyone knows; how many people care what she thinks about the other women?

    • melthehound says:

how many people care what she thinks about the other women?

That would be a no for me. In fact, if she does become a regular HW, even my girl Brandi couldn’t get me to watch.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

Kyle did mention her mom and dad. Her dad , who also died from cancer passed away before her mom. In a book I read about the Hilton’s, Kyle’s dad’s 3 wife (her mom was his 2’d) said that when he was broke and dying from cancer, they had called Rick Hilton and asked for a loan of 10k to help them get by and that Rick didn’t want to give it to them because he needed to buy his girls “party dresses” and how they had to literally beg and plead for it.

Kyle’s dad also had children from his first marrage (Big Kathy had an affair with him and ‘stole’ him from his first wife). I asked Kyle on twitter if she had a relationship with her half siblings and she replied that unfortunately most of them are now deceased. I think they also died from cancer…but I can’t remember.

    • BB says:

Thanks, I didn’t hear her say her Dad.

  10. AZGirl says:

Good Morning everyone. Quick post. Need to get to work. I just want to say how much I dislike Suzanne Sommers. She is so irresponsible in pushing her unsubstantiated program. Anyone who has taken nutrition in college knows that taking as many supplements/vitamins do absolutely nothing beneficial except tax your liver and kidneys. Your body cannot absorb any more than what is allowed so the rest is literally flushed down a toilet.
Suzanne also promotes a hormone supplement which she flushed up her vajajay. There is scientific proof that any of this crap works and may actually be harmful in the long term.
Finally, Suzanne looks like crap not healthy at all. She is bloated. IMHO 🙂

    • L.A. Chica says:

I take a variety of supplements, but not randomly, and some (like D3) are at the direction of my doctor. I don’t know how long ago you took the college course in nutrition but the field is constantly evolving, we are learning new things every day. In my experience, we all have different needs depending on genetic makeup, age, diet, environment, lifestyle, and medical history, and probably a few other factors I’ve forgotten to mention! 🙂

      • Catseye says:

I haven’t posted in a long time, after reading about Lynn’s untimely passing, I wasn’t even sure the blog would continue. I’m so glad it did. And I agree with you 100% L.A. Chica. I am on supplements myself and have my pets taking things too. (And I also agree with you on the subject of drinking alcohol–I’ve never known one person who can say drinking had changed their life for the better.) As far as Suzanne Somers goes, it’s about time that women demanded something better to help them through menopause instead of just pregnant horse urine. *I’m* very thankful for her research.

      • shamrockblonde says:

as I am taking several prescription meds, I once took a bottle of multi vitamins to my doctor to see if I could continue taking them – he threw the bottle away and explained that while some vitamins would be good for me the majority included in the multi would interact adversely with my meds – he then gave me a list of vitamins that I could take that would help me and help the meds – if you are on prescription meds always check with your doc before taking ANYTHING else – you never know how it might affect you – I cannot take aspirin for instance – sounds so harmless – but with what I take it could be very bad for me –

        • Powell says:

Shamrock I did just that years ago when I began iron infusions w/my hematologist & my primary care and was given the ok to take them. Like LA Chica I take a variety of supplements. My mom laughs at me when I catch a cold saying I shouldn’t catch anything w/all that I take. I just started D3 in December on recommendation of my gyno & primary care.

      • AZGirl says:

I have no problem with supplements at all. I also believe that accupuncture is helpful in many cases for chronic pain.

If you read Suzanne’s book or was able to see her appearance on Oprah you will understand my post. Suzanne takes over 50 to 75 pills a day. Along with rubbing progesterone cream on her forearms and injecting progesterone up her vagina. She advocates that this is a prevenative measure for menapause and for deterring cancer. I guess the cancer angle got me a little agitated.

        • shamrockblonde says:

a preventative measure for menopause?? You cannot prevent menopause – what is she thinking? this is what happens when someone who has no background in medicine decides to start advising people on what they should be taking and/or doing – people whose medical histories she has no clue about – unfortunately there are enough people out there desperate enough, or simply gullible enough that will listen to her and follow her lead – menopause comes to all women – as for acupuncture – I HATE needles – I get my blood drawn every three months, and every time, I sit there and say Hail Marys the entire time – no way I am letting anyone stick me any more than I have to – much too stressful –

          • L.A. Chica says:

I hate needles, too, and have to have blood drawn for various checkups on a regular basis. But acupuncture needles are different, and you really don’t feel them much when they’re inserted, and after that I can’t feel them at all. YMMV, of course.

          • AZGirl says:

I should have said preventative measure for menopausal symptoms. I just checked again and she does take 40 pills in the a.m and 20 in the p.m. Injects estirol (sp?) up her vajajay

            • L.A. Chica says:

              Is estriol by Rx only?

Black cohosh (orally, not up the vajayjay) is supposed to help with hot flashes but I can’t take it due to interactions with my blood pressure meds. I’m looking into other alternatives.

          • Powell says:

LOL on the needles Shamrock. Since I’m anemic & have infusions monthly & have my blood drawn it doesn’t bother me. As a matter of fact the way I learned to not be scared or nervous is to watch them do it. When I went last month the nurse got 4 viles of blood. The doc told her she needed to draw 3 more & she was just apologizing. I just took it in stride.

          • Catseye says:

As a matter of fact, you CAN prevent menopause and continue having periods. Some women are on bio-identical hormones and only have one about every 3 months.

        • L.A. Chica says:

I see, AZGirl, thanks for the explanation. I’ve never read any of Sommer’s books and until last night I haven’t seen her on TV since Three’s Company! 😆

As for drug interactions, not only do I run everything I take by my doctor, I also check for drug and supplement interactions with my Medscape app. It has an interaction checker, and I’ve actually been able to update my doc on some interactions he was unaware of!

          • AZGirl says:

Some individuals do get benefits from taking supplements and that is great. But 60 pills a day your body just can’t even assimilate all of it. I should have been clearer in my post. I was in a hurry. 🙂

            • Nancy says:

              Hi AZGirl,
If you eat properly there is no real reason to take all those supplements.

              • L.A. Chica says:

It depends, imho. Eating properly is an imprecise concept and can mean different things to different people, plus there are also all those other factors I’d mentioned earlier.

I know I extended my dog’s life by a couple of years using a clean diet plus certain supplements (and lots of love) when he had cancer. His vet couldn’t believe how long he lived and remained cancer free, until a traumatic incident happened. The cancer came back very suddenly after that, according to his body scans.

              • AZGirl says:

This is why I work out every day and eat properly. Mr. AZGirl and I only eat out once a week. Oatmeal with an apple every morning. No sugar (if I can help it). I cook and grill a lot of chicken and we have a salad every night. Baked chicken tenders tonight with roasted fresh green beans with shallots.
I believe that working out daily is what is keeping me young.

                • Nancy says:

Good for you. Working out daily can add many years to your life. IMHO.

                  • Catseye says:

So true. Even just walking every day can keep your body fit, to a certain extent depending on how far you walk, and your mind sharp.

                • L.A. Chica says:

You are living right, AZGirl! And dinner sounds delicious. I need to be the same way as you about exercise, but it’s something I’m very bad about.

            • shamrockblonde says:

thanks AZGirl – that she is claiming it is for the symptoms of menopause at least makes a bit more sense, but that many pills…..maybe she can trick her mind into thinking that it is working, but her body knows better and just flushes all the excess right out – I did not see her on the show – did not see the show – the last time I saw her on tv was for some exercise contraption that she put between her legs and squeezed – that looked silly then –

L.A. Chica – what does YMMV mean?

            • L.A. Chica says:

I don’t think the number of pills matters, it’s what you’re taking and how much, and why. 🙂

I take about 20 a day. Haven’t officially counted, though.

              • L.A. Chica says:

Mine aren’t all vitamins, though. Some are herbal, plus I take medicinal mushroom capsules (New Chapter brand Life Shield Immunity) as an anti-cancer measure.

Acupuncture has helped me to reduce my pain meds by 75%.

              Me, too.

Many years ago I was in a terrible car accident that left me in great pain. I was seeing an osteopath as part of my treatment and asked him for a referral to an acupuncturist (needed the referral for insurance coverage). He said, “OK, but I don’t know what good it’ll do except maybe help with pain.” 🙄 I had to explain to him that that was precisely why I wanted acupuncture. I didn’t have disability insurance at the time and needed to get back to work, and pain pills make me stupid.

          • chismosa says:

i love Accupuncture! So happy it has worked for you Cats

Suzanne Somers is a quack quack along with her husband. She said on Oprah that she cured her breast cancer with her 50-70 pills daily. The problem is that she never had breast cancer to begin with or what a real doctor would call cancer.
She is about the last person I’d listen to on health topics. She’s interested in shilling her products and that’s it.

          • rabblerouser2010R says:

            She never had breast cancer?

I remember something where she fell ill and they thought the cancer was back (if it was ever there to begin with/) but it turned out the radio list missed read it and the real dx had to do with her having a reaction to drinking some red wine that she said was spoiled. I can’t remember all the details….it went over my head.

          • L.A. Chica says:

I’ve never met Suzanne Somers (Sommers?) but we have a mutual friend, and I remember my friend saying we should meet because we are both breast cancer survivors. It never happened, though, and I’d forgotten all about that until now. But this talk is also reminding me that – iirc — my friend said SS is or was also taking part in some cutting edge research into some sort of new stem cell procedure that may possibly grow back breast tissue in women who’ve had lumpectomies or mastectomies. That would be cool if it works.

Please excuse my foggy head… As I said before, I’ve never read any of her books and haven’t seen her on TV since the old sitcom, but to my knowledge she did have breast cancer.

    • Powell says:

I love Suzanne Somers but I wish she didn’t do some of the “health” stuff that she does. She not only takes dozens of vitamins &/ or pills daily, but she also takes some kind of growth hormone injection(s) daily. I believe the injections is what makes her look blotted. She does some things that I believe are experimental or not FDA approved.

      • Catseye says:

I’m doing some experimental things, as the med I took for Osteoporosis caused more problems than it cured. Everything I am on now is natural and plant based (besides the 2 Vicodins and 1/4 Morphine) and I feel great. I figure I’d rather do my own research and try to keep myself going as naturally and inexpensively as I can.

Is anyone else sick of the Adrienne storyline? It looks like it will be the center of next week’s episode as well. I’m a fan of drama, but I like it more when there are lots of small plots – not one plot that extends the entire season. I feel like we’ve heard all we can about this topic….can we please move on!

  12. L.A. Chica says:

Oh, BB, I so completely agree with you about Marisa’s mom giving fashion advice. LOL

She may be a lovely woman when she’s not being critical of her daughter’s wardrobe, but she really has no place being a fashion critic. I thought I could see Marisa biting her tongue and not wanting to be disrespectful, but even she had to finally tell her that the reason her mom didn’t like Marisa’s outfits is because “you dress like…this!” 😆

  13. rabblerouser2010R says:

I just finished watching last nights show. (I feel asleep midway last night).

This is my take on what little we saw at the dinner conversation…and Ken and Lisa having a discussion about Kyle.

I think before going on the show, Yolanda knew exactly who to aline herself with. To that extent, I beleive Marisa did too but because Kyle is her lead in she needed to still be on friendly terms with her. It has influenced their interactions with the others and what they say in their talking heads.

As much as I hate to say it, I think we (as in the majority of the fans) might have created a monster (monsters) in regards to Lisa and Brandi. It’s as if they beleive they are impervious to any criticism and Lisa is the Queen of the Kingdom and Brandi is her court jester.

What is it that Kyle has done that her loyalty to Lisa is being questioned, that she isn’t getting in the middle of a feud between Lisa and Adrienne, regardless of the fact that Lisa supposedly excepted Adrienne’s apology?

As low down and devious as Adrienne is, the bottom line is that she isn’t original source of the allegation that Lisa was selling stories, nor is she the only cast member to suspect that she was (re; Russell and Taylor). IMO It’s very much like in the story line NJ, and in reality probably all of them or at least most of them either passed on either purposely or not information that was spun to create a tabloid story . As much as I am wanting to give Lisa the benefit of the doubt when it comes to ‘selling a story’ , I can’t say I would I bet my life on it all though but with that being said, even if she did, I feel there are hands that are MUCH dirtier than hers.

I’m really not liking how everyone (on the show) is now expected to kowtow and lick Lisa’s Christian Louboutin’s or ow Brandi thinks it’s her job to give everyone else a little dose of “truth” but then can’t handle the “reality of consequence”.

    • not THAT Jill says:

Im with you RR-I dont know why everyone is so shocked when Lisa gets called out about something-she is not really a QUEEN for heavens sake-she is a REALITY TV personality. She is no better-or worse than lets say…Honey Boo Boo. It amuses me to no end that Lisa and Yolanda are held in such high regard when they are on the same show as Taylor Armstrong, Kyle and Kim Richards and Adrienne Maloof-who according to some are the lowest people on earth.
As for Brandi-well after reading a sneak peek of her book-I’m not sure how the QUEEN will react to a single mother spending $12,000 to rejuvenate her vagina while homeless with 2 children.

      • stellastars21 says:

Yeah I’ll agree that on the show they are guilty of the same shenanigans when it comes to beefing up certain story lines for the sake of “entertainment” but typically people aren’t the same because they are employed by the same people. Otherwise there wouldn’t be the general sticking up for the one ganged up on, as an example the New Jersey ladies and how people generally stick up for Teresa against the others when the people sticking up for her even think she’s not that great mostly. When you compare certain acts against others, like all the charity work that Lisa does and how she is very generous in giving back through her restaurant and what Taylor has done in illegal activity and grifting and lying, I’d have to say that being on the same show doesn’t negate the good behavior that in typical societies should trump bad behavior. I mean at the end of the day they are people too and some have more going for them in the way of good behavior than others. At least that’s how I feel about it. But generally I try not to get too deep or even that upset over a show I choose for entertainment purposes.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

I understand what you are saying but I guess in a way it all comes down to perception as far as the weight of their good deeds vs bad.

I am sure in Taylor’s mind, she really believes she is helping abused women and saving life’s although I think it’s all a crock. I do remember Lisa having an event at Villa Blanca for a burn victim which I am sure was of tremendous help to the beneficiary but at the same time, because if gave BV great publicity it somewhat self serving even if that wasn’t the motive or intent.

I do agree that as a whole there certainly people on the show that I consider the worst of the lot. (Taylor and Adrienne ) but that I just don’t see the top two (Lisa and Brandi) as being infallible or untouchable. But IMO, people who crave to be in the spot light of reality tv and comprise their privacy for money and notoriety are largely narcissistic. It’s sometimes interesting to watch how it manifests and for me, disappointing to see how for some unwavering fan support is going to their heads.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

Was it Bethany who summed it up by saying something to the extent that at the end of the day, they are still fighting it out for the same $1.50

      • Laineylainey says:

Good point, I love Yolanda, Lisa and honey boo boo.

    • Cartwheels says:

      Agree with you 100%
Thanks for saving me the time to type 🙂

I like Lisa’s business sense and I applaud her enterprenupship but I am seeing more and more sides of her that are not quite nice. I still like her enough to wish that she never reveals anything truly personal to Brandi at the risk of being put to the test next year. Friendship on the Bravo HW kingdom do not survive a long time.

  14. Debbie Cooley says:

Hi–I am reposting my post to I hope the right place 🙂 Thanks Kansas for your repsonce and help.

Hi–I always read but I do not post much. I use to always read Lynn’s blogs too. I am posting now because I read your questions regarding Lyme disease. I have yet to watch last night show–I have it taped. Back to Lyme–I live in the woods of WI. and 12 yrs ago I contracted the disease. By the time it was found it had already disseminated through out my body. I can answer any questions anyone may have. That crazy vector (bug) born disease ended up disabling me. It can and does effect facial muscles like having bells palsy. Sometimes steroids are used in treatment and they also cause one to look swollen. The funny thing that happened to me was I looked bloated yet it took 15 pounds off me in under a month. Everyone is different but Lyme is serious especially in children and most folks think it is found primarily in the east coast but in fact it is everywhere and has reached epidemic proportions in the mid-west. Lyme has left me with severe arthritis. It also can cause damage to the heart etc… I will stop now but please ask me any questions you might have. Thanks for listening. Debbie

PS. I wanted to add a bit about Herxheimers or what we commonly call a Herx reaction. Many believe that Herx is caused by toxins released by the “bugs” being killed but in reality it is more often caused by the high dosages of anti-biotics used to kill these bugs. Anti-biotics are in fact a poison and they kill good and bad bacteria. For years and even now there is a debate over long term anti-biotic use to treat Lyme. It is a bit strange that if one finds a deer tic bite within 24 hrs–a single anti-biotic dose is all that is needed. However, once you have it– it is very hard to get rid of. Often the symptoms of herx if they do not go away leaves a person with Fibromyalgia as a secondary insult to the body. Sorry this is so long–If anyone has any questions–I am happy to answer. Thanks Debbie

    • stellastars21 says:

Wow I’m sorry that this is what you are dealing with.

    • Catseye says:

How do you feel about using colloidal silver instead of antibiotics?

    • AZGirl says:

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I cannot even imagine the pain. Lyme disease is spreading even here in northern AZ.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

Thank you for sharing with us and answering some questions. I am sorry to read about what you are going though.

    • Nancy says:

Thank-you so much for your post. I’m glad you brought up the
Antibiotic issue. There is going to be a day when they all stop working
for us and we are going to be the cause of it if we don’t stop abusing them.
Are you now having to deal with Fibromyalgia? I hope not.

    • Powell says:

Hi Debbie. Goodness you have life long effects from Lymes. I hope you are able to cope. Thks for the information. I hope you come hang out w/us more often.

  15. stellastars21 says:

Totally off topic but it is only 9:07 here in Hawaii and I need a nap. Yikes how am I gonna make it till 3:30? And since caffeine makes me sleepy that is definitely out.

    • BB says:

If you work in an office, get up got outside and take a short walk. That always helped me. Also, I sometimes took a “power” nap at lunch. Power naps are great.

    • L.A. Chica says:

      Vaginal rejuvenation?

    • Laineylainey says:

OMG!!!!! Jk…I don’t think that’s such A big deal. I know a woman who went to brazil to have it done. I’ve been hearing about this surgery fOr years. It seems to only recently be discussed more openly. No pun intended. Seriously.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

You always crack me up LL

      • not THAT Jill says:

It is so redic that she was able to use her ex-husbands credit card to rejuvenate her vagina but she couldn’t use it to find an apartment for her boys? Why say that you were living in a 1,200 a month car and spending all that money to perk up you V when you then state you were living in a car? It just seems odd…very odd!!!

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

It makes me question her priorities. I also think that if someone has 12k to blow on cosmetic surgery and they spend it on their cookie, they must be very blessed looks wise. (No doubt Brandi is) . I think she would have been better served on spending that money on a good lawyer.

          • Cartwheels says:

            her cookie?

LMAO, I heard that term used referring to the V for the first time when I watched the movie “Act like a lady, think like a man”
“She who controls the cookie, controls the game”

            • rabblerouser2010R says:

My sister and I have been using that term for about 20 years…but that movie quote is awesome. 🙂

        • Catseye says:

          I completely agree.

        • Sus says:

Well, we all know how immature I am. I’d go for upgrading the V along with the apartment and new car. But that’s just me.

Not really – I’d do kegel exercises before I cut anything. With my luck there would be a horrible complication and my foot or something worse would end up in there.

      • L.A. Chica says:

I feel so sheltered… I’d never heard of that procedure before!

        • melthehound says:

I heard of it years ago. The reason I was given at the time for anyone doing it was to reclaim virginity. Why someone with two kids would do something like that is beyond me but I guess there can be other reasons for doing it too.

  17. thedesigndiva2 says:

Well kiddos..back from my second interview..I knew before I left the house and my ” inners” told me that I would not be meeting with Larry again..and yeps..I was right…met with the owner..nice guy… he had me read 5 pages of job description , BTW.. it’s for ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, then he had a few pages of interview questions to ask me… SO FORMAL… winks
First question , what is to date my biggest accomplishment that I am most proud of.. told him being married to my husband for 30 plus years..his eyes got real big at that he sais that is awesome.. but then I told him my proudest achievement was starting a business in the construction industry and sticking with it in spite of all the ” heckling” from men..he also liked that answer.
Most of the questions were really good .. guess he wanted insight as to my character ??? I was very relaxed with him and it was like chatting with an old friend.. he likes my organizational skills and he posed a few worse case scenerios to which I quickly answered.. told me NOT to worry about the quickbooks part of things…said I would catch on quickly to that in no time..
so , all in all , I felt it was a good interview and he said that he will be talking to Larry one more time before they make a decision… and YES.. I wore a nice black and white sun dress with white flip flops..fingers crossed they will pick ME !!!!
and FWIW.. home depot called me and wants an interview on 2-7 @ 11 a/m.. hopefully I will be able to call them and thank them , but it’s not needed…whoot whoot….
off to take a nap… I am sleepy today… must be the weather….

watched THE FOLLOWING ,,,, such an awesome show…then ( 2) 1 hr episodes of the new Dallas.. I wonder if Larry Hagman knew how sick he was during the filming and how will they work his untimely death into the story line… certain times last night I noticed he did not look well at all…..

    hugs and peace

MTH – I just found this 😎 Thank You!

re: ownership of SUR – maybe Camille just doesn’t understand. We have owned 100% of restaurants in the past but have friends that buy restaurant together. Having 51% is a huge deal no matter how many people have a share. When disagreements about the restaurant the party holding the largest share has final decision but the others are still “owners”

re: Kim’s nose that didn’t need fixing…maybe she wanted the meds that come with a nose job and thought surgery was worth it.

    re: something-else-i-forgot-already

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

From the sneak peek they have on Lisa’s blog, it looks like the reason it got brought up is that Brandi was cracking off about how the Maloof’s only owning 2% of the Palms.

Brandi needs to start taking her own advise and STFU from time to time.

    • melthehound says:

      You’re welcome.

  19. stellastars21 says:

You know what, that thought about her wanting the meds did cross my mind when I was reading the recap.

Diva!!! that’s great news!! they would be fools not to hire you!

    • thedesigndiva2 says:

shamrock..too funny ..I said the same thing to mr ford when I got home… hell I’d hire me !!!! now..if I get the job , have to get used to EARLY MORNINGS.. I am not an a/m person… will take me some time to get in the starts at 8 !!!!!!!! luckily it’s only 4.88 miles to the office and no major highway to drive on..found the back way there..whoot whoot

      • trudie says:

        Fingers crossed and candles lit!

      • AZGirl says:

8 a.m? Diva you would never survive AZ. We get up early out of habit due to the heat in the summers. People who have lived in AZ for a while realize that getting up at 4 a.m. in the summer months is the coolest part of the day. That is when everything gets done outside around the house. Bed early around 9 p.m.

    • L.A. Chica says:

IKR! Diva, still sending all good vibes your way. 😀

  21. iceNfire says:

Lisa writes in her blog, “The only thing I know about how to make a hormone is not to pay her.” and in comments many laugh at her joke…it’s over my head. Someone explain plz?

  22. Kat from Ohio says:

Last night I wound up watching RuPaul’s Drag Race ( I LOVE RUPAUL!) and Camille was the guest judge, and I don’t know you guys, I really do like Camille a LOT. And she is smart. She went to college and has a degree in English, and she has an excellent vocabulary. Andy belittled her for using long words at the season 1 reunion, but guess what? she was using them correctly! The best thing she could have ever done is exactly what she’s doing–phasing herself out so she can quietly enjoy her children and new boyfriend.

  23. iceNfire says:

I’m trying to watch this video but it tells to to watch it from video centre, cant find video centre…
    Anyone have a link plz?

    • melthehound says:

I get the same message. It says that the video cannot be embedded and it may be that we lowly Americans aren’t allowed to view it.

  24. mygirlsmom says:

I just read that Stassi was on a reality show called “Queen Bees”, which is a about six rich spoiled 18 – 20 year old girls thrown together in a house to compete to stay in the house. And also, someone posted she was in “Amazing Race”. Why am I not surprised?

  25. rabblerouser2010R says:

Is anyone else here watching RipperStreet. I caught the first episode and really liked it. I haven’t got to watch the second yet as with all the things that are recording on my dvr on Sunday and Monday I barely make it through one show before falling asleep.

    • iceNfire says:

Yes – I watched the 2nd episode, not Loving the show but I do like it. Loved the Doctor Who 50 year special.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

Speaking of Dr.Who…my hubby has started watching TorchWood. I am not sure how I feel about the show, there was something cheesy about it that seemed like circa 80’s Canadian programming (eg Degrassi Jr High) then saw that for some reason the show is in conjunction with the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)

        • iceNfire says:

LoL – Talk about cheesy the 1st Doctor Who had a toothache and the TARDIS took him to Tombstone where Doc Holiday was the dentist. Then they had a sing-along in a saloon.

    • Powell says:

RR I caught some of the 1st epi. I need to DVR it. BBC America has some good original programming. I started watching Copper but didn’t keep up after the first three epis.

    Also, Closet Freak;’s BH recap

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

I got a minute into the IA thing then had to turn back before I yaked…
I will check out CF tho but not right now because the kids are still up and she ‘keeps it a little too real’ to be heard in front of my kids 😉

    • VV says:

I saw it earlier. They’ve been advertising this for days now. I wonder who’s footing the bill for this?

      • melthehound says:

I don’t know who’s paying for it. I hadn’t heard of it until I watched CFs recap.

        • VV says:

It was mentioned a lot on that circle of twitterers. It was supposed to come out a few days ago. I guess it was delayed until Today. I’ve heard of Will bevause he is a big Tre supporter, CF is hilarious, Roxi’s blog is meh.

Abby Lee Miller should be turned into CPS and I’m not kidding.

    • Sus says:

Actually, it’s the parents that should be turned in because they are the ones signing the consent form for their kids to be around that woman. The moms see the abuse and bring their girls back the next day for more.

      • Nancy says:

        It’s disgusting isn’t it?

        • Sus says:

I don’t get it because there seems to be no point in it all. How many professional dancers support themselves by dancing? There aren’t that many jobs compared to how many kids are in dance school. Ridiculous!

Obviously, dance school can be wonderful for kids. It teaches them lots of different things besides dance. But to pretend that all dance students will move on to Broadway is stupid. Even if they were going to move on to Broadway, abuse from the teacher should not be allowed.

      • LaineyLainey says:

The lure of fame is quite consuming. This show is proof of that. They just want their kids to be on T.V. I hate to say it, but this show will open doors for them if they play it right.

        • Sus says:

You are right. Rock of Love Dancer Style is in their futures. I have zero desire for fame so hard to understand. Also, I’d probably kill myself if I had to hang out with the moms from my kids activities. Mother-of-dooms* are not my cup of tea.

Years ago I worked in a building with 60 floors. A transformer blew and smoke filled the building. They evacuated us and closed the building. When I got outside a local reporter put a mic in front of my face and asked how it was inside. I snarled at her that I did not want to be TV. My boss was behind me. He asked if I was wanted by the FBI because I was so averse to being on camera.

*Mother-of-dooms – women whose only interests are her special snowflake children – read this on a blog years ago and have used it since because it’s perfect

          • LaineyLainey says:

i like it. i also like your almost brush with fame!! haha!! I’ll bet most people would have loved to speak into the mic for the nice reporter. hahahaha!!! that’s how we get gems like “ain’t nobody got time for that”

          • melthehound says:

I would have had some fun with that perhaps worthy of the blooper reels..

          • Orson says:

I had a near brush with fame with the local news. I used the “three profanities in every sentence” approach to make certain whatever they got wasn’t aired. I also complemented the reporter on her breast size on tape too.
