Real Housewives of Atlanta
These ladies have been quieter than some of the other franchises like Beverly Hills and New Jersey, maybe because all they have to do it breathe and they bring in the ratings. Just kidding. They know how to work it on-camera, and don’t need to create fake twitter wars and spread silly gossip stories to keep people interested.
I saw a little preview of this episode, and Cynthia’s assistant ( I think the one I interviewed AGES ago) is completely rude to Porshe. What is it with Cynthia and her assistant and their “I’m too good for you” attitude?
This episode, Porsha is preparing to throw Kordell a 40th birthday party. After Cynthia and Porsha have their troubles over the pageant thing that Cynthia is planning on throwing (why they heck should Porsha help her with her lame idea – what happened to her long-suffering sister Mallory?), Kordell sets them back on track.
Meanwhile Kandi’s producer Don Juan convinces her to go on another bus tour with Kim and NeNe. Kidding. He is worried that she’s losing her focus (ie spending to much time moving, filming for housewives, at her boutique, taping Kandi Koated nights, running her sex-toys business, and hanging out with Todd) on her singing career. You think? That’s one busy lady.
And Kenya discovers two lumps in her breasts. I don’t want to minimize this because with anyone else I’d take it seriously, but has anyone ever read “the boy who cried wolf?”.
Shahs of Sunset
What a short season. Tonight is the finale.
Let’s wrap it up.
GG has been filming by herself all season after attacking Asa in the second episode. We’ve learned that GG is trying her best to control her anger. It’s a lifelong problem for her – it’s been reported that she was kicked out of 10 schools. I feel sorry for her because she just doesn’t get it, but at least she has the support of her dad. Maybe he enables her, but it’s nice to know someone has her back.
Lilly. Lilly started off filming with the others but after Mexico they ditched her as well. She’s annoying. That’s really all she’s got.
Sammi. Sammi was ditched as a regular cast member but has had a ton of screen time. I don’t know if we’ll see him again, but he sure was a good sport all season.
Asa. This persian pop-princess changed the most from season one to two. She sure comes off like a spoiled brat, especially after we learned that her mom was working multiple jobs to support the family, and she never has enough money for rent. Please please please don’t be making you mom work for your rent. Asa billed herself as a pop princess, but it turns out she’s never performed in public before. I find that astonishing. So instead of starting small, she’s throwing a Persian palooza. Great.
Mike. Poor Mike. Tonight he’ll be telling his Persian Jewish parents that he wants to settle down with his Italian Catholic girlfriend. But that’s the least of his worries. His own mom thinks he isn’t good for much. But he does seem to have a large asset and plans on showing it off in the near future (based on what he said on WWHL). But still, it must be tough to know that your own mom thinks you are a little slow on the uptake.
Reza. Reza is just a sneak and I don’t like him anymore. He’s been way too mean to MJ. Apparently he’s going to get serious with his boyfriend. Right.
MJ. Poor MJ is troubled, but she is a good friend to GG. What a hard season for her – being treated like crap by Reza and Asa, and having to deal with Lilly.
I’ll bet their reunion is full of fireworks.
