Message from Kristen Johnson / Real Housewives of Vancouver Recap / Mob Wives Recap

Message from Kristen Johnson (KJo)

Hi Lynn-lebrities!

I haven’t been on this in so long, what a brilliant blog! It looks fantastic. Lynn would be SO excited & happy you guys are still together, still talking about those crazy housewives, all things Bravo, as well as life.

(Personally, I wish Million Dollar Decorators could play in my house on a loop.)

So I’m saying hi to y’all, and check in. Someone yesterday told me I should post you guys about The Shorty Awards, and I thought it was a brilliant idea!

The Shorty awards are like the oscars for twitter (???), and all I know is it would bring great exposure to GUTS, which just came out in paperback.

This is NOT about selling books. I was paid a year ago, and that’s all the money I will ever see from GUTS.

This is about it reaching the people who need it.

They still won’t carry the book in Kmart, Walmart, or any airport bookstore.

I even redesigned the cover so it didn’t have a cigarette!

So that leaves me with only one possible conclusion….they don’t want GUTS because of the subject matter. (Which is addiction. Though I personally think the book’s about a lot more than that…)

But winning a Shorty would help SO much!

If you could take a brief second and vote, it would mean a great deal to me.

Voting shuts down on Monday. Here’s the link:

So PLEASE. If you liked GUTS, or if you like me, or if my tweets have ever amused you, or if you love to hate me, whatever the reason…..I ask of you PLEASE.

Take 2 seconds and vote for me to help GUTS get to the people who need it.

I think of Lynn all the time. What a lady she was.

Love you all….

And thank you in advance!!!

Kristen Johnston (aka KJo)

PS. Only one vote per email address counts. Also, it seems to work MUCH better & faster on a computer as opposed to a phone.

Real Housewives of Vancouver – Season 2 Episode 2 –  Drag Queens and Drama Queens by NoMoreDrama

Mary and Robin – screen shot

We start this week’s episode with Robin – the Texan transplant.  Robin has taken to sweetheart Mary, and invited her to lunch.  They start off the lunch gossiping about Jody and her store.  Mary bites her tongue.  Good for her.  Robin then tells Mary she’s going to audition to be the singer for the National Anthem for a show jumping event – the Grand Prix.  Apparently she can’t sing.  Robin is going to audition to sing the US National Anthem – and asks Mary to audition to sing the Canadian National Anthem.  Mary is a little miffed about the audition part, since she’s actually a singer.

Amanda invites Jody over to taste her

Kambucha tea.  She brews it at home.  Jody explains that Kambucha doesn’t taste very nice (I’ll agree).  She explains it as citrusy with a slight hint of vinegar.  She tells Amanda that her tea is delicious.  Now Amanda shows Jody a bowl with a placenta.  Apparently it is used in making the tea.  I’d have wanted to know that before I tasted it.  Then they gossip about Iouia – and say they are suspicious about her.

Now we have a scene with Ioulia and her husband.  Ioulia tells us that her step kids are coming over (they are old enough to drink) and she will be making breakfast.  Her husband is scared.  He doesn’t need to be scared because she goes downstairs to a restaurant and buys some amazing waffles and coffee.  Her husband tells her he’s taking off to London and Australia and will be gone for three weeks.  She says that’s the first she’s heard about it, but doesn’t care because she wants some time to herself.

Amanda has a Seattle-based boyfriend.  They met in treatment.  She presents him with clothes – which is strange because things are much more expensive in Vancouver than Seattle.  He starts to change – we get a close up of his nipple rings.  She dresses him in bright shirts and wants him to wear a sweater vest.  He says he feels like a very large peacock and then sweeps her off to the bedroom.  Never mind the cameras.

Robin meets Ronnie at the Carrington shop.  It’s a tuck shop full of horse things.  I wonder if Robin has more horses than Yolanda.  Ronnie gossips about the Jody and Mary drama from last year.  She says that Mary wanting Ronnie to have her back against Jody’s attacks last year was very high school.  She can be friends with everyone.  Ronnie then explains that she and Mary have had rough spots, and she’s very forgiving, but she doesn’t forget.  Why do people always say that?  That really means they don’t forgive.  Robin tells Ronnie about the National Anthem, and Ronnie is bummed that Robin and Mary are going to record together.  How high school of her to be jealous that Robin and Mary are getting along?

Mia - ugh - screen shot

Mia – ugh – screen shot

Back to Amanda.  Amanda and Mia (Jody’s daughter) are friends and used to party together until Amanda stopped drinking.  They talk about a drag party (related to the Gay Pride Parade) Jody has invited them to.  Amanda’s daughter asks what a drag party is.  Mia explains it’s when men like to look just as fabulous as women, and Amanda’s daughter is very confused.  Then Mia interviews that she loves her gays, and calls herself “Queen F*g Hag”.  Ugh.

Now Amanda takes the change to slam Robin.  She explains that she was in Jody’s store, and Jody had set aside a green sequined dress for her.  Robin told her not to try on the dress because she was wearing the same one and Amanda shouldn’t copy her.  Amanda thinks that Robin was mean to say that – which I don’t understand.  Why wouldn’t she warn her and why did Amanda buy the dress?

Mary is happy to show off her singing, even if it means listening to Robin - screen shot

Robin and Mary head to the studio to lay down their audition tracks for the Grand Prix.  After establishing that Robin has no training, Mary goes first.  Mary knocks it out of the park.  Robin is channeling Kim Zolciak.  Both Mary and Robin explain that the US National Anthem is really difficult to sing.  Mary’s dog starts to whine as Robin misses the high notes.  But in the end it turns out Robin can sing.  I didn’t see that coming.

Ioulia is oblivious that Amanda didn't get a good first impression - screen shot

Amanda meets Ioulia for coffee.  Amanda didn’t think she’d like Ioulia, but Ioulia is so sweet she turns it around.  Within minutes Amanda is talking about being an alcoholic, and having a friend who just killed herself, and bawling.  Ioulia is very comforting.  They’ve bonded.

Pedicures at Ronnie's - screen shot

Pedicures at Ronnie’s – screen shot

Amanda and Ioulia head over to Ronnie’s for pedicures.  Ronnie is glad she doesn’t have to hang out with Jody and Mary.  Ioulia explains that she’s been hanging out with Mary and Ronnie uses it as an opportunity to talk smack about Mary’s finances.  Robin’s name comes up and Amanda takes the opportunity to slam her.  She tells Ronnie about Robin’s comments that you have to be strong and just stop drinking, and how it offended her.  Amanda and Ronnie talk about their  problems with alcohol, although Ronnie says she’s not an alcoholic – she just doesn’t have an off switch when it comes to drinking.  She hates the label.  She says it’s like calling a midget a midget instead of a small person.  Second totally inappropriate comment of the show. Oh goodness, Amanda has brought over the Kambucha and Ronnie pretends it’s good, but tells us it tastes awful.  Ioulia says she’d rather hang out with Mary and drink.

Now Robin is with her mother explaining that she’s going to a drag queen party.  They both claim they have lots of gay friends, but they seem uncomfortable with the whole idea.  Robin shows her a black sparkly dress that she bought at Jody’s boutique (the same one Amanda has in blue) and tells her mom she’s going to wear it.  Can we say set up drama!

Jody always is good for a laugh - screen shot

Jody always is good for a laugh – screen shot

Jody is wearing a “good witch” costume to her party.  It takes two hours to cinch her in.  They get a drive in a hot pink limo.  Mia is just wearing a tank top.  Amanda is wearing her blue sparkly dress.  Mary is also invited by a friend.  Ronnie and Robin ride together – with Robin wearing her sparkly dress.  Ronnie isn’t drinking but she is bartending.  Mia is hiding under her mom’s dress.  ??  Ioulia is there as well.

All of a sudden someone notices that Mary is at the party and runs to tell Jody.  Mary claims that she didn’t know it was Jody’s party and that the owner of the club asked her to come.  Jody asks Mary why she is there.  Mary says she was invited.  Jody asks who invited her.  Then Mary says that it actually isn’t Jody’s party – that she’s having a little party in the back of the club.  Jody says Mary is mentally unstable.  No one knows who to believe so they carry on.

Okay – the dress thing was a red herring.  Everyone is wearing sparkly dresses, and Robin’s is a one-shoulder black dress while Amanda’s is blue and cut completely differently.  Everyone is having a great time so Amanda decides to confront Robin or “set her straight”.  Robin starts going off about alcoholics and how they should have enough self control to put their drinks down.  Finally Amanda gets her to STFU by telling her that she is an alcoholic.  Robin interviews that when she thinks of alcoholics she doesn’t think of people like Amanda – alcoholics reek of alcohol and have red faces.  Inappropriate comment three.  Robin finally seems to understand how offensive her words are.  Ya think?  She apologizes to Amanda.

Amanda voices over that she said she wasn’t going to make a scene – and she didn’t – YET.

BRAVO – why aren’t you getting the rights to air this show in the US????

“Mob Wives” By Detox

Welcome back to “Mob Wives”!

This week, we see several things happen. Ramona and Drita kiss and make up. Renee acts like a bull-in-a-china-shop while in rehab. Neil does his best to get out of the doghouse and back into Big Ang’s house. Karen tries to sweeten the pot in the hopes that her daughter, Karina, will change her mind about moving to Staten Island to live with Karen. Joe finally asks Carla for a divorce. Neil breaks up a Senior Citizens’ brawl at “The Drunken Monkey.” Ramona throws a joint birthday party for 2 of her daughters. Karen makes use of her new investment in a music studio. Ramona reveals a surprise. And the women prepare to face Hurricane Sandy.

Let’s get started, shall we?

It Looks Like Another Sit-Down Is Coming Up

The episode starts off with an interview clip of Ramona. She says that her children have had a really rough year because their father dropped out of their life, and her boyfriend, to whom her children are very close, went to jail. In an effort to lift her family’s spirits, she wants to throw 2 of her daughters an extravagant joint birthday party. Her daughters Melina and Anissa are only 1 year and 4 months apart. Melina is turning 12, and Anissa is turning 13. However, there is a catch: Ramona’s daughter Melina wants to invite Drita’s daughter, Aleeyah, to the party. This, of course, puts Ramona in an awkward position because there is no love lost between her and Drita.

Ramona arrives at a clothing store to meet up with Big Ang and Karen. While there, Ramona tells Big Ang and Karen about the fact that Melina wants to invite Drita’s daughter to her birthday party. Big Ang looks excited about this. Karen, on the other hand, looks skeptical. She interviews that the last time she, Ramona and Drita were together at a party, Drita ended up with a black eye, and Ramona ended up with a fat lip. She sarcastically says, “So, let’s all get together at a KIDS’ party! This should be FUN!!”

Ramona interviews that she does not want to hang out with Drita, but because her daughter really wants Drita’s daughter at her party, she is going to bite the bullet and do what she needs to do to see if she can make her daughter’s wish come true (That’s a good “Mommy move,” Ramona!).

Renee’s Rehab Version of “How To Win Friends”

Renee is still in rehab, and she is participating in another support group session. The support group leader tells the group that they are going to discuss the topic of anger. She tells the group that addicts often do not know any other emotion but anger.

Renee participates, and she says that she has a hard time forgiving people. She also admits that she flips out easily (That’s an understatement. I love you, Renee, but you DO have a tendency to flip out, your big heart notwithstanding). A fellow group member identifies with what Renee says and admits that, like Renee, she often carries grudges too.

Another group member speaks up and addresses Renee directly. She tells Renee that she’s holding on “to stuff from 16 years ago!” Renee instantly gives this woman a look that says, “Ummm…EXCUSE me, B*tch!! And just who in the EFF are YOU!!” (And all I can do is cackle in front of my t.v. screen for some reason because I just find it hilarious). After giving this woman “the look of DEATH,” Renee goes off and “reads” the woman by loudly telling her, “Listen here! I heard that you have been talking behind my back. On top of that, you do NOT even KNOW me, and you have NO right to speak on me!!” (Even though this makes me giggle, I must tell the truth: She DOES have a right to speak on you, Renee! She’s a member of your support group where you guys have to openly share your opinions and feelings about yourselves and about each other. This is not a Mob sit-down! It is REHAB!! Deal with it, Sister!!).

The support group leader takes control of the situation and tells Renee that placing her emotions on other people is irrational. She tells Renee, “This is not really about the OTHER person. It is about YOU!” Renee shuts up, but she has a look on her face like she wants to spit nails.

Neil Wants Out Of The Dog House And Back Into Ang’s House

Big Ang is working at the “Drunken Monkey” when her estranged husband, Neil, drops by to visit her. She interviews that she threw Neil out again because he abandoned her at the hospital when he dropped her off for surgery. She also says that he does nothing around the house. She says, “He’s a SLOB, and I’m over it!!”

Neil sidles up to the bar, takes his seat, and gives Big Ang a sly, sh*t-eating grin. Big Ang looks at him with a stone face before she tells him that she’s sick of throwing him out of the house. Neil tells her that he is sick of being THROWN out of the house and follows this statement up with a “smooth operator” grin. Big Ang looks like her eyes are going to roll out of her head when he says this (and appears totally immune to the charm offensive he is launching in her direction).

Neil asks Big Ang what she wants from him. She tells him that he “don’t do NUTHIN’ around the house!! You don’t take care of the pets. You don’t take care of any of the household chores. All you do is drink Diet Coke!!” (Well, at least it is a non-alcoholic beverage, Ang, but I feel you. He can sip on his soda while he’s pushing a mop and doing laundry at least!).

Neil then offers to help out around the bar. Big Ang rolls her eyes at him, but she looks like she MIGHT be considering his offer. She interviews, “What part don’t you f*ckin’ GET??!! I threw you OUT!!”

Ramona Invites Drita To Tea (This is a LIE!!)

Ramona places a call to Drita while she is riding in her vehicle. Drita picks up her phone and looks like she is going to have a heart attack when she hears Ramona’s voice on the other end of the line.

Ramona tells Drita that she is having a birthday party for 2 of her daughters, and 1 of her daughters wants Aleeyah to be there. Drita interviews that her kids and Ramona’s kids met, bonded and grew to really like each other. She notes that this is unusual for Aleeyah because she does not bond that easily with other children. She also says that the fact that Ramona’s daughter is familiar with their lifestyle helps Aleeyah feel less isolated than some of her other peers who do not come from that type of background.

Ramona asks Drita if they can meet to talk and come to an understanding before the party. Drita hesitantly agrees. She interviews that the last time she saw Ramona she “wanted to put her head through a f*ckin’ window!! I don’t trust that mother*cker!!” She says that she only agreed to meet with Ramona for their daughters’ sakes.

Karen Works On Building Her Empire

Karen is walking into a music studio with some man who turns out to be a friend of hers who goes by the name, “Stormy.” She interviews that, ever since her meeting with a financial planner, she has been considering different investments so she can diversify her portfolio. To that end, she is visiting the music studio at the invitation of Stormy so that she can decide whether or not she wants to make this studio one of her investments.

Karen tells Stormy that she recently found out that her daughter, Karina, can sing. So, she is thinking of investing in this music studio because it will also be an investment in nurturing her daughter’s singing talent. She interviews that she is considering this investment for 2 reasons: to make money; and to provide another incentive for Karina to stay with her in New York.

Ramona and Drita Become B.F.F.’s

It’s finally time for the big sit-down between Ramona and Drita. Ramona arrives and is seated in the restaurant waiting for Drita to join her. She interviews that if Drita thinks she’s “going to f*ck with me, she’s got another thing coming!” She says that her grandfather was “Lefty 2 Guns,” and she fears nobody but God!

Drita interviews that she’s still in shock that Ramona called her. She makes it clear that she is very wary of this meeting. She says that she hopes this is not a set-up. When Drita arrives, she is stone-faced as she takes her seat at the table with Ramona.

Ramona opens the conversation and says that she hopes that they can talk like grown women and mothers with children instead of like people from the street. She maturely admits that she may have handled some things wrong in the past.

Drita says that she feels like people in their circle antagonized the situation between them and did not really want the 2 of them to get along. She also admits that she wrongfully entertained people and listened to a lot of “he say/she say” when it came to Ramona instead of directly talking to Ramona about what she was hearing.

They then discuss the knock-down, drag-out fight that took place between them (and Karen) at Renee’s party last season. Drita tells Ramona that people warned her beforehand that Ramona was going to attack her at the party. Ramona says that she never had any such plans.

Ramona then says, “Well, we can choose to be animals or choose to be ladies in the future.” They both agree that acting like animals is not a good look for women that are mothers.

Ramona then declares that she and Drita “are good.” (Thank God! I’m glad these two worked it out). They both shake hands and make up. Drita interviews that Ramona is looking more like “a mom” to her, as opposed to “Lucifer” (Drita’s old nickname for Ramona). She says that this “is nice.”

Ramona and Drita then chat and laugh like 2 girlfriends. They also discuss how their daughters have a lot in common and have bonded as a result.

Drita Tells Carla About Her Sit-Down With Ramona

Drita and Carla meet up at a gym to work out. While they are working out, Drita tells Carla that she met up with Ramona. Carla interviews that Drita must be joking.

Drita tells Carla how everything when down between her and Ramona, and how they are now no longer mortal enemies. Carla looks skeptical (and a little unhappy). She tells Drita that Ramona only called Drita “because she knows she did wrong, but she was too stubborn to admit it.”

Drita tells Carla that she wants peace (and I’m glad. I think being calmer and nicer and doing her best to refrain from fighting is really working for Drita). Carla interviews that she understands why Drita wants to put the past behind her when it comes to Ramona, but she still does not trust Ramona.

Carla tells Drita that she is “good with everybody right now” (Ummm…in WHOSE world, Carla? You are NOT good with everybody right now! Clueless Carla strikes again!).

I Want A Divorce!

Carla is in her kitchen puttering around and waiting for Joe, who asked if they could talk, to arrive. She interviews that she does not know what Joe’s urgency is about talking to her. She then snidely remarks, “Maybe things are different now that he’s been living with is little girlfriend,” indicating that she thinks that living with Raquel is starting to make Joe re-think his relationship with Raquel and his decision to allow her to move in with him (Boy, does Joe have a surprise for you, Carla!!).

Once Joe and Carla are seated at her kitchen table, Joe tells Carla that he went to see a divorce attorney. Carla’s eyes widen a bit when he says this. He continues and says that he thinks that it is best if he and Carla just part ways.

Carla tells him that what he just said is “cold.” He responds that he feels like his past was filled with negativity, and he likens their marriage to a bad business arrangement (Damn, Joe! Now that IS cold!). He says he wants to close the door on all of that negativity and move on to a more positive future. One big step which will allow him to do that is getting divorced from Carla.

Carla (even though she looks like she is doing her best to maintain a façade of calmness), who looks like she is reeling just a little bit, tells Joe that she went through a lot with him being in jail and having to take care of their kids and everything else by herself while he was in jail. Joe just looks at her like, “Yeah…and…? Yada, yada, yada! Give me my divorce so I can wash my hands of you and move on with my Sweet Thang, Racquel!”

Joe tells Carla that she needs to retain counsel “to get this done expeditiously.” Carla tells Joe that she thinks a divorce is “just a technicality” (Umm…WHAT?!). Joe disagrees and says, “It’s NOT a technicality.”

Carla then relents and says that she will get an attorney. Joe tells her that once everything is in writing and on paper, she must abide by it. He explains that this means she must be “stable and on an even keel.” He further tells her that this means she can’t just decide at the last minute that he cannot see his children because she is all of a sudden angry at him over something. He expresses his frustration over having to deal with her mood swings and volatility and its effect on his ability to see his kids in the past. He makes it clear that, once everything is in writing, she will no longer be able to pull those types of stunts. Carla just looks at him without saying anything.

Joe then tries to get Carla to admit that she is volatile. Carla interviews that she has been a mother on her own for 6 years, and Joe cheated on her. “So, yeah, I can be a little crazy at times.”

Senior Citizens’ Drunken Daytime Brawl At The Drunken Monkey

Big Ang is at “The Drunken Monkey” during the day. Despite the fact that it looks like it is the middle of the day, the bar actually has patrons that are just boozing it up. Many of these patrons are senior citizens who look like they are enjoying their retirement by knockin’ ‘em back at “The Drunken Monkey.”

Big Ang interviews that things are going great with “The Drunken Monkey,” but there have been a few issues with the daytime workers. So, she has decided to be there more during the day to solve those problems.

While Ang is busy just working away in the bar, 2 gentlemen start yelling at each other from across the bar. They then eventually start fighting. Big Ang and others get in the middle of them to break the fight up. Big Ang is screaming at them.

The fight appears to be resolved, but it doesn’t last because some peripheral player in the earlier altercation approaches one of the gentlemen involved and starts talking crap to him. So, of course, a brand new brawl starts.

Then, it’s Big Ang’s husband, Neil to the rescue. Neil comes from out of nowhere and easily uses his brawn to break the fight up (At this point, I realize how HUGE Neil is. I never noticed that before. Maybe it’s because he’s often next to BIG Ang. He actually makes Big Ang look normal-sized as she’s near him trying to calm down the madness! Everybody else around him looks like a little person.).

Big Ang eventually looks on as Neil gets everything calmed down. She has a look in her eyes like she has fallen in love with Neil all over again (I don’t blame her. I kinda got the hots watching Neil in action myself!). She interviews and says, “Well, it’s ABOUT time, Neil!!” (I expect him to be moved back into Ang’s house by nightfall).

Melina and Anissa’s Joint Birthday Party

It’s the day of Ramona’s daughters’ joint birthday party. The party spot is filled with teenagers (and some parents), a DJ, 2 big cakes and presents. Ramona interviews that she always had over-the-top parties growing up in the lifestyle.

Karen arrives at the party with her daughter, Karina. Love also arrives to show her support. Ramona tells Karen and Love that she and Drita met and successfully settled their differences. Love interviews that this shows how much Ramona and Drita love their children because they basically squashed everything for the sake of their own daughters’ happiness. Ramona interviews that last year she, Karen and Drita all wanted to kill each other.

Drita finally arrives with her daughter Aleeyah. She is greeted with warm hugs from Karen, Ramona and Love when she approaches them. She returns their hugs and hugs Ramona’s daughters too. She interviews that she feels like a huge burden has been lifted off her shoulders (I feel like a burden has been lifted off my shoulders too. I was tired of the “Drita Fighting With Ramona and Karen” storyline. I wish these women could go over to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and talk to the Producers of that show. The whole, “Everybody Bashes and Fights With Teresa, Who Is The Mastermind of All That Is Evil In The World” is also super-played-out and makes me want to stab myself with my Crystal Lite glass as I watch!!!).

As Ramona, Drita, Karen and Love stand around and talk at the party, Karen says she wishes that Renee could be there. The other women agree.

At a certain point during the party, Ramona presents her daughters with a brand new puppy that is as cute as a button.

And a good time was had by all. The End.

Carla And Big Ang Shoot The Breeze

Carla and Big Ang are hanging out at some restaurant (or bar. I can’t quite tell). Carla tells Big Ang that Joe asked her for a divorce. Big Ang’s eyes widen, and she asks Carla how she feels about this. Carla interviews that Raquel might be looking at Joe like he’s this perfect man, but “he’s been in jail and he cheated on his wife.” She then says, “Good luck to you!” (Men who cheat on their wives never seemed to bother you before, Carla. Why so moral all of a sudden?).

Carla tells Big Ang that she needs to move on with her life too (You already have. You’ve had a boyfriend for years. I honestly think Carla is actually a little bit sad about the divorce, but she will NEVER admit it. I don’t think she wants Joe back. I just think her ego is bruised.).

Boris The Vocal Coach Puts The Singers Through Their Paces

Karen decides to visit the music studio in which she has invested. She brings her daughter, Karina, Karina’s cousin, Déjà, and Ramona’s daughter, Anissa, with her.

Once inside, she is introduced to a vocal coach by the name of Boris, who agrees to listen to the 3 girls sing and to provide feedback. Karen interviews that she wants Karina to know that, with this music studio, she has something that is “just for her” when she comes to visit.

Karina, Déjà and Anissa get in the booth and sing (They sound alright, I guess. They don’t exactly blow me away with enormous talent, however. Let’s just say that they can carry a tune and do not sound totally awful. So that’s a good start.). The voice coach puts them through their paces, offers constructive criticism and makes them perform the song more than once.

Karen interviews that she is so excited. She says that the experience is all about teaching and learning something new.

Ramona Has A Fiancé’

Ramona and her very young daughter, Gianna, visit her presently-jailed boyfriend’s attorney (Why did Ramona bring this little girl with her to discuss these matters? I think this is entirely inappropriate.). She interviews that she is meeting with the attorney because wants a status update on her boyfriend’s case.

Ramona’s boyfriend’s attorney bluntly tells Ramona that he has no answers for her. He explains that federal cases are notoriously slow and take a very long time (He’s not lying about that. They are.). Ramona interviews that she feels like her life is on hold until her boyfriend’s case is settled one way or the other.

The attorney continues and explains that the Federal Government will do everything it can to make Ramona’s boyfriend’s life and his family’s lives as difficult as possible in order to force him to become a “rat.”

Ramona reminds the attorney that the Feds confiscated jewelry that she had in her boyfriend’s home, and she has no idea when and if she is ever going to get it back. He just looks at her.

Ramona then tells the attorney that she has been secretly engaged to her boyfriend for a while now (Really??!!). She says that the only people who even know she is engaged are her children. She has not even told her friends. She tells the lawyer that she has been too fearful to wear her engagement ring because she is afraid that it will be confiscated by the Feds the same way they confiscated all the other jewelry she had in her boyfriend’s house while she lived there.

The attorney tells her that, as long as Ramona can prove that her boyfriend bought her that ring with legitimate funds, she should have no fear of wearing the ring in public.

Renee Checks In From Rehab

Renee is sitting on her bed in her room at the rehab facility when she makes a call to Drita, who is puttering around in her home. Drita asks Renee how she is holding up, and Renee laughingly tells her that she has been placed in Anger Management. She says, “Can you believe it? ME? In anger management?” She follows this sarcastic question with a big cackle. She also tells Drita that the people at her rehab facility “talk so sweet and nice, and here I am like, ‘WHAT THE F*CK??!!’” She cackles again when she describes her bull in a china shop-type behavior. Drita interviews that she has no idea why a person would need anger management of all things. She then cackles herself (because she knows that she was once the poster child for anger management herself).

Renee then asks Drita how her life is going. Drita tells Renee that she and Lee are working on things. She interviews that she’s “giddy like a jerk-off, and it’s embarrassing!”

Drita then changes the subject and tells Renee that there is a huge storm coming their way. Renee tells Drita that she knows. Drita interviews that she is worried about losing her home. She tells Renee that Lee advised her to stay home, but she does not feel comfortable doing that because her house is in an evacuation zone.

All Of The Women Prepare For Hurricane Sandy

Alternating scenes of all of the cast members show them getting ready to face Hurricane Sandy in their own ways.

During her phone call with Drita, Renee asks Drita to check up on A.J. for her. She interviews that she feels bad that she is not able to be with her son at a time like this. However, she knows that other family members and friends of hers are making sure that A.J. stays safe.

Love is shown lighting candles all around her house. She interviews that she is praying that everyone stays safe.

Karen is shown gathering her luggage and leaving her apartment because it is located in an evacuation zone.

Ramona is over at Big Ang’s house, and they are discussing how they plan to handle the upcoming storm. Ramona interviews that everyone needs to put their differences aside and step up to help each other.

Carla is at home on her couch with her twins watching weather reports regarding the upcoming storm. She interviews that she has never seen anything like this in this area before.

Several scenes of Hurricane Sandy and its devastating effects are shown. Scenes of huge waves and chaotic waters are shown near the shoreline. Mayor Bloomberg is shown instructing citizens about the severity of the storm and the safety precautions that need to be taken. Scenes of several electrical fires and burning and destruction and groups of firemen to the rescue are shown while a voiceover says that Hurricane Sandy is the “most catastrophic hurricane in this city’s history.”

The episode ends with a P.S.A. where each cast member implores people to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Next Week:

The women confront the incredible damage and destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy.

A.J. meets with Renee at the rehab facility. Renee cries hysterically as they talk.

Drita is talking to Big Ang and Carla when she screams, “I open the door and guess who’s standing in front of my f*ckin’ face!!” She has a HUGE grin when she says this. So my guess is that it was someone with a name that rhymes with “Bee.”

  1. Early post – going skiing this morning. Hoping for some sunshine! Have a great day!!

  2. TexasTart says:

    Good Morning!
Thanks NMD and Detox for the blog today! Dextox, miss your colorful commentary on the board. I’ll have to read Mob Wives before I have to leave!

Smart move by KJo asking the LynnFamily for votes, a good message in her book and it could use more exposure. GO KJo!

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone. 😀

  3. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright & sunny Sunday morn. I hope you all had a great Saturday.
I’m so glad Kristen said hello & is talking about the Shorty Awards. DesignerNailsDiana tweeted aboutit a few weeks ago & I forgot to vote. It’s a shame Kmart, Walmart & airport bookstores don’t want to carry Guts. It shows they have no Guts. Pooh pooh them. You keep getting the word out Kristen. Congrats. 🙂
    Have a great day everyone.

    • $25,000 says:

I am puzzled about why the stores won’t carry Kristen’s book? Is it that people don’t buy books on addiction? I don’t get it. I would love to read her book.

      • Sam says:

It’s not “the stores” that won’t carry it; it’s KMart, Walmart, and airport bookstores. All of those make their selling decisions based on content and tend to reject books with strong language, so I’m guessing the “F” word appears in GUTS a lot. (I haven’t read it, though.)

I’m actually more surprised that Kristen got a flat fee for her book, instead of an advance plus royalties. (That’s what she means when she says she’s already earned all the money she’s going to get for the book.) She needs a new agent!

        • BB says:

I believe all the royalties go to her charity. Her charity is geared towards opening high schools strictly for addicts. Her book is one of the best if not the best celebrity autobiographies I’ve ever read.

          • Hi guys….I’m having trouble posting on here, but in response to your questions about payment, I did get a very nice advance. It’s all royalties that go to SLAM (plus a portion of my advance, which I’ve already donated.) But I would have to sell an insane amount of books to begin to start seeing any royalties.

This is what I mean when I personally won’t be seeing any more money from GUTS. That’s not to say I won’t earn any more, it’s just that it won’t be going to me!

I just wanted people to understand I’m not plugging the book to make money. It’s selling really well, just by word of mouth.

But I know there are people it could be of great benefit to that don’t have access to it.

This is why it’s so important to me.

And BB, thank you so much. I honestly wish more “celebrities” took the time to write their books themselves. Even if flawed, it adds a realness & rawness that people really respond to. (Oh, and by the way, Andy Cohen wrote every word of ‘Most Talkative’ himself, too!)

            • Sam says:

Glad to hear you got a royalty deal, KJo, even if you’re not actually going to see any royalties, because it tells me you got a nice advance.

              I’m rooting for you!

(We met once, btw, when you were on 3rd Rock, so I know you’re just as nice in person as you come across here.)

          • Boobah says:

I was actually trying to remember the name of that charity…do you happen to remember, BB?

          • $25,000 says:

That’s interesting about her charity. I ‘ve never heard of a high school just for addicts. It sounds like a good way to help young addicts stay sober.

            • iceNfire says:

Funny – when I 1st heard about it I thought of the movie The Great Escape and how putting all the same ‘apples’ in one prison turned out to be a very bad idea.

        • $25,000 says:

Thank you Sam. I didn’t realize those stores have a policy like that. I’m surprised about the flat fee as well. It seems she would want a percentage as well.

          • Sam says:

You’re welcome! And I guess she did get a royalty deal, but her advance was high enough to ensure that it would be a long time before she (or actually her charity) earned any royalties.

  4. AZGirl says:

Good morning everyone! Have fun NMD! Good Luck KJO! Great blog everyone. I forgot to thank Stars99 yesterday for the recap of the BH blogs.

  5. Boobah says:

Good Morning everyone! Hoping you are all enjoying your long weekend!

Great blog today! Great to see Detox, even though it only in re-cap form. Hope to see her back in action here in the comments soon!

It was also really cool to read the message from Kristen! I tried to vote but I guess you need to have a Twitter account. Dang. My mother, my sister, and I each read her book. We thought it would open the door to communication on a a topic that has touched our family. And we benefited from Kristen’s experiences. We had a mini book club where we discussed the book and how it related to us. It was interesting and really helpful. I am grateful that Kristen put herself out there like that so that people who struggle know they are not alone. It was a great and swift read.

I’m glad Revenge is on tonight! Maybe we will finally find out who went down with the boat!

    • Morning Boo! I am sorry that this topic touched your family….but how great that you, your sis & mom could get together and read and discuss KJo’s book. I am sure that will make her happy as that is fulfilling its purpose. I hope thngs are better now.

And I am excited about Revenge too! Also, Downton Abbey finale tonight (already!). The season went so fast. I wish they would do more epi’s but I guess this is how they do it over the pond. LOL!

Have a great Sunday hon! ;D

      • Boobah says:

Thanks Mardrag! There are good days and bad – like with anything else.

You have been busy this weekend! That’s good! I’m having a nice weekend thus far. I think I need to watch Downton Abbey – everybody raves about it. Just not sure when I’ll get to it. 🙂

    • Powell says:

Boobah that’s great you & your family were helped by Kristen’s book. It’s a shame those stores don’t want to carry it. It seems Kristen has helped a lot of people.

    • california35 says:

hi Boo, i read the book then passed it to my sister and i wish other people i know would read it. great book. i kind of wish there is s sequel.

      • Boobah says:

That was kind of you to pass it on like that! I made my family buy their own copy. Lol! A sequel – good idea! A book about her life now. I’d read it.

    • kjothesmartass says:

I don’t think anything could mean more to me than when GUTS helps people begin to talk about “the elephant in the room”. I wrote it because I was so sick of the shroud of secrecy that surrounds addiction….and what you just wrote makes me so happy.

      Thank you, truly

  6. Good Morning Lovelies!

Thanks NMD for getting us going before you go skiing! We love & appreciate you so much! Hope you have a great day on the slopes….whooooosh! 😉

So good to see Detox too, even if in recap form. Hope you get to come back to play soon!

Congrats to KJo about the Shorty Award. Wish I could vote (no twitter acct), but will put out good energy for success!

I am a little MIA this weekend with busy-ness going on, but its all good! Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.

New post, “Sunday Inspiration”, is up at mt place. Enjoy!

    • iceNfire says:

Hi MarDrag – Idk why some people don’t have twitter, it’s so useful for signing into sites like Bravotv and for voting polls. All you need is an email, you can get one easily at and you don’t have to tweet at all if you choose not to.

  7. jezzibel says:

I think Carla wants to be the one to call time on a relationship, and the fact her estranged husband was the one that made to move to legitimately sever their marriage has thrown her for a loop.

  8. realhousewifeva says:

Brandi wrote in her book about how Pilates is the best form of exercise for her, and today (or yesterday?) Leann tweets about her muscles aching from pilates… LOL

    • Rebecca says:

Is anyone else getting really worried of impending doom? Leann is seriously swf right now. Should (or should I say when) anything happens to her relationship to Eddie, she will find herself justified in taking out revenge on Brandi.

Brandi really needs to cool it from now on. This isn’t funny or cute anymore.

      • iceNfire says:

I noticed this morning that Leann tweeted at 3 a.m. This isn’t a good sign, as Bethenny said on Scary Island “GO TO SLEEP!”

      • $25,000 says:

I agree with you, Rebecca, enough is enough. She is probably going to keep it up for a while though to support her book sales. I wish she hadn’t written the book because I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to put negative things out there about herself, Eddie and LeAnn. That said, I also understand that she needs the money. Since the book is out there she needs to promote it.

      • Powell says:

Rebecca when Eddie leaves her I think the people around her better be prepared for some sort of melt down because she seems to be emotionally immature & won’t be able to handle it.

      • realhousewifeva says:

Brandi didnt do anything, it was something she wrote in her book

    • $25,000 says:

      LeAnn is getting really creepy!

    • Powell says:

      LeAnn continues to be desperate.

  9. LA Debra says:

I found a “vote for your favorite housewife”.
    Hope that link works.

  10. catmom1 says:

Not sure if this has been posted before, but I came across this funny (to me) article about Brandi on the Leno show.

  11. violachica says:

does anyone know of a good place to watch RHOV online from the US? I’ve tried but haven’t found any good places to do so.

    • Powell says:

I haven’t looked but try YouTube. Lynne made friends w/a guy last season that posted the epis on YouTube. I was trying to find his Twitter name for you. I’ll post it if I find it.

      • kidsrfunny says:

He was my hero! I can’t remember his name either. YouTube removed all those videos on his account. I guess sharing those videos wasn’t allowed. I watched them all one weekend, then they disappeared.

        • kidsrfunny says:

IIRC, Jeff’s dog, Mel, found the site, and Jeff posted it for us and we all did a marathon, because somehow Mel’s best friend knew they wouldn’t stay up long — especially after so many of us started hitting them.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

  12. california35 says:

it is nice to read from Kristin, it is also nice to read she is trying to get her book to more stores. i bought two books 🙂

  13. iceNfire says:

I use http://www.project free tv for RHOV
Has anyone used sidereel? I think I maybe able to watch Bravo during it’s East Coast viewing

  14. jezzibel says:

who has the links to watch RHOV

  15. plainviewsue says:

KJo was in a huge twitter war with quite a few people. She had tweeted something to the effect of Why is Dick Cheney still alive? Apparently, as she later explained, she had tweeted that because a friend of hers had just died.

Whatever the reason, and I am a staunch Democrat & still don’t understand why Cheney & Rumsfeld were not on trial for war crimes, I thought that was a terrible terrible tweet as well. Even if she is referring as to why someone who’s had so many heart issues & her friend was younger. A lot of tweeters were very upset about that & another tweet that she put down people who become so involved with the reality shows.

I always was a fan of Kristen’s and love her show The Exes. I esp love how she was so close to our Lynn.

But, IMO, this tweet was terrible. And her response to tweeters who took her to task about it didn’t help matters.

In any case, I think it is nice that she contributed to the blog, even if its to vote for her.

    • melthehound says:

She had tweeted something to the effect of Why is Dick Cheney still alive?

One could ask the same question about her and for the same reason. Being upset and semi famous doesn’t give anyone a free pass. (If she were FAMOUS, then every body would know who she was. Before this blogsite, I had no idea).

    • Rebecca says:

There’s a lot of us that will compare the passing of someone of great importance to to us or genius to a “bad” person staying alive. I’m watching a tribute to Freddie Mercury now – genius musician, deep-down good person. He didn’t do anything wrong – he never hurt anyone. He’s gone…. and a schmuck like woman-beater Chris Brown is still around being praised with people throwing money at him. He didn’t follow his parole but is out running around free AND the woman he beat is boasting about how wonderful he is.

When people don’t have to deal with the consequences of their actions, you question their existence. What’s the point of trying to be a good person while asshole thrive.

Kristin’s friend died – she gets to grieve in her own way. If people didn’t like the tweet they could have moved on. No biggie.

      • iceNfire says:

I love Freddie Mercury! Are you watching the Showtime documentary? If so look close when it’s mentioned that “Michael” got ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ onto u.s. radio. It quickly shows a picture of Michael Jackson.

    • kjothesmartass says:

I’ve addressed this comment, Sue…but it’s waiting moderation. (Dunno why, no swear words or anything…)

      • plainviewsue says:

Kristen, it’s all good. I understand that you were upset. I was just thrown for a loop when I read it!!

On a better note, when is The Exes coming back???

    • Pghemtchick says:

I don’t know if the tweets are still there, but the twitter war was started by WSL asking a few tweet-friends to vote for KJo. One replied she couldn’t because of the Chenney comment to which KJo called her a silly cow and slung insults. Then when called on it, blocked others and called housewife viewers mean people then clarified this was only a section of HW viewers after people called her out on that, then went back on the bully calling train because people disagreed. KJo denied the Chenny comment. Granted her thought in her head was left to mistranslation via the net- it happens everyday. There were people who questioned her sobriety during the war as it was so out there, that was wrong IMO. However, the whole thing would have been a non-issue if KJo wouldn’t have come back with insults and vulgarity and just said “that’s not the context I meant it, but respect your opinion”.
I don’t give passes to famous/semi famous/etc, it’s like Kim & Kanye thinking they can get on a plane w/o going thru a security checkpoint. Nope, you are one of the lowly commoners at that point. Just because someone doesn’t like your opinion doesn’t give the right to sling hurtful insults. Sure hope that tweeter wasn’t dealing with an eating disorder and bring called a cow didn’t push her into kneeling over a toilet or not eating… We as a culture need to be more aware even as smartasses that our words hurt. Just like the sobriety questioning hurt/bothered KJo, being called a cow hurts those with body image issues. How great our world would be if people could just respect others opinions. Kinda like what goes on here, we all have disagreements, but personal attacks are a nogo.

      • iceNfire says:

This blog has evolved greatly since the IHJZ days. I’m embarrassed to say i got caught up in the mud slinging but Lynn set me/us straight by asking that we don’t fight with each other.

        • Pghemtchick says:

I hear ya! Lynn, NMD, and the posters here have really taught me to edit myself by pausing and just thinking before just slinging. I’m so glad that I found the IHJZ blog and stuck around. ❤

      • melthehound says:

I have no idea what this is all about but well said.

      • mygirlsmom says:

I found the Chenney comment to be very distasteful. But I realize that no one is perfect, we all make mistakes famous or not. All we can do is learn from it and move on. What KJo is asking for now, to vote on twitter for “Guts” is for charity and a positive message for those suffering with addiction. My two cents is that we should all put any negative personal feelings aside, if there are any, and vote. KJo is trying to do a good thing here.

  16. LA Debra says:

Nancy — hope you see this. On Inside the Actors Studio – Hugh Jackman, they speak a lot about Les Mis. I think you would get a good feel for the movie from the clips. If you can find on demand or on line, you might check out. I swear I hear the music and the tears start, it’s that powerful.

  17. Boobah says:

The RH Top 20 Reunion Moments in on Bravo right now. They showed Brandi infamous, ‘Hot Minute’ comment about Taylor’s book. Then Taylor launched into a verbal tirade of Dom. Violence stats……when Taylor did that it reminded me of the movie Erin Brockovich (I’m sure I spelled THAT wrong, lol) where Erin (Julia Roberts) sputters off all sorts of numbers in her life when her neighbor asks for her phone number. I really feel like Taylor tried to sound like Julia Roberts from that movie. Annoying. Anyone remember that scene in that movie?

    • pat says:

Yeah I remember that. Taylor’s reply was like, “Excuse me, I’m saving the domestic violence victims of the world, here, with my fictional book about my marriage!”

Thanks for the heads up on the Top 20 reunion moments show. It starts here in 45 minutes. (West coast.)

      • Vegas Chick says:

The previews are showing a phone convo between Taylor, Kyle and Kim. Taylor is drunk again and on her way with whoever she is screwing now and she had no idea that Kennedy was with Kyle. Who does that? I feel so sorry for that little girl. Suicide dad and alcoholic mother. The emotional damage has to be reaching catastrophic levels.

      • Boobah says:

YES! Suddenly she was the expert! That part made me feel crazy!

  18. kjothesmartass says:

    Hi everyone…

What Rebecca said! And I’m not “mean tweeting instead of drinking”. If you read my twitter timeline, you would find it almost exclusively uplifting, joking, talking to fans or supporting people grappling with their addictions. I believe twitter is a fun, enjoyable way for (in my case) me to be able to talk one on one with people, which for 20 years I couldn’t really do.

What happened a few days ago is totally against the norm. I hate drama. But if I feel I’m misquoted or misunderstood, I will defend myself. I’m no victim, so I bit back, which I guess people didn’t like.

Last March, (A YEAR AGO!) my dear friend had just died from Leukemia. A few days later, Cheney had his millionth heart attack. So I tweeted, as a JOKE “Why won’t Cheney die?” Meaning, my young friends 2 babies have no mom, yet this man manages to survive a million heart attacks? WTF????

It was by NO MEANS meant to be taken seriously.

It was. A small group of women were horrified, saying I “wished our VP was dead!” which was NOT what I meant.

So, when it was thrown in my face a full year later that I was this hideous person who wished death upon Cheney, I reacted.

What followed was a full day of being attacked by a group of women, all who I knew to be Housewives fans. The tweets were insane, disparaging my looks, my career, and even questioning my sobriety. “Looks like KJo’s been drinking again!”

    What would you do?

The wisest thing would be to ignore, but I’m not wise.

And I do believe there is a small faction of women (who yes, happen to be housewives fans) who seem to get off on causing drama & ganging up on people.

I’m pretty sure you know what I mean.

I was by NO MEANS referring to every person who watches The Housewives! (My God, that would be all my friends & almost everyone in US!!!!) I was referring to 10 or so women I referred to as “Mean Girls”.

I’m sorry you don’t think I did myself any favors, Sue. But I told my truth.

Thank you all again, for your support.

    • plainviewsue says:

I had no idea that tweet was from a year ago. Someone had retweeted it.

    • iceNfire says:

Hi KJO – Thanks for clarifying mean tweeting vs drinking.
I too sometimes post/tweet things that are not to be taken seriously, but it all works out in the end. 😛

  19. zoekayla says:

    Good morning!
Diva – awesome news about the job. Goes to show that good work can pay off long into the future!
TexasTart – I’ve also been slammed by work for the last year or so…I know how frustruating it is to get behind in reading the blog. One thing that is nice, though, is that you’re always welcomed back whenever you can stop in…
I read yesterday’s blog with real interest. I recently rescued a dog who is chewing a bit on her feet. Not sure, but I think maybe I need to revisit her diet.
I’ve also had some real discomfort since October. I thought it was due to three rounds of antibiotics for a persistent, recurring sinus infection. I took Probiotics to get my gut flora and fauna back in balance, but I have been feeling very uncomfortable ever since. Although I was heavy, I always had a proportional body, but in the last couple of years, my midsection has really gotten big. I am interested to hear about the potential benefits of reducing gluten in the diet. ITA about how today’s grains are not what they used to be…
I gave up red meat about four years ago, and and glad about that. I eat organic and locally sourced foods (I’m a total sushi hound), but I do enjoy carbs (even though I am O-positive).
There is so much good information being shared here, I take it all…I really want to get this abdominal fat under control. With other bone and spinal issues, exercise is problematic, but I could certainly move more…I am also aware that I am under extreme stress caregiving for my mom and working very full-time.
Keep up the lifestyle and wellness convos – they are helping me, and I would guess, others!

    • lillybee says:

A grain free diet really helped my greyhound and stopped her from chewing her hind end.

    • Powell says:

Oh gosh zoe. So sorry you haven’t been feeling well. You haven’t mentioned that you went to your doc. I think your 1st stop is the doc to rule out illnesses. It could be something as simple as you need to clean your system. I hope you feel better.

    • Catseye says:

Hi Zoe, you sound a little like me, with the increasing mid-section and bone/spine probs. I bought an AB Transformer gadget off of home shopping about a month ago and I have been using it along with CLA/Tonalin, which is supposed to help with insulin insensitivity. I admit I haven’t been actually DIETING, like I should, I’m addicited to diet sodas (which I intend to cut out) and have a little candy every day. But I think it’s working and I will let you know how it goes. One side effect I really like is that I am getting more feeling in my right leg from using the AB thing, it was paralyzed after I had a spinal fusion.

      • chismosa says:

Cateseye i hope i can catch you on another blog– is CLA good for you? I always see it as some big seller on GNC and never know what it is for– don’t want to mess with odd stuff to rev up heart rate or metabolism, but if this is just a naturally occurring thing that aids in insulin resistance, i’m interested…
must look into this, thank you

  20. Powell says:

Hello. I’m watching BH tea party II. Ok. I love Lisa. I love her house. I like Villa Rosa on the gate. If I had property like that & could come up w/a name for my property I’d name it too. But I don’t understand “Villa Rosa” at the front door. Splain people. 🙂

    • realhousewifeva says:

That’s too rich for me to understand. It looked like a fancy restaurant or hotel with the name at the door and the glass entrance

    • VV says:

Pink is Lisa’s favorite color. Rosa is pink is Spanish.

    • VV says:

Powell, are you asking for an explanation for the name or an explanation because there is a name at the entrance?

      • Powell says:

Why its at the front door.

        • VV says:

It has to do with Tradition. Prior to numbers or any sort of organization, houses where identified by names. Therefore, each house had their name inscribed, some used cast iron others tiles with letters at the entrance with the mame of the house. It is still a tradition in many European countries and Latin America. Yes, the name was at the main gate of the property but the name belongs to the house itself and it has to be physically attached to it. I hope it makes sense.

          • Powell says:

Ok. That does make sense then. Thks VV & LA Debra. When I get my mansion my family name will be on my gate & house. 🙂

          • chismosa says:

yes one of my closest friend’s husband has a family home on the water out east in long island and they ‘named it’ Bella Vista. They are Italian. But then i got to wondering why the adjective is in front of the noun because in Spanish the adj goes after the noun so i thought in Italian it was the same way… ugghh.
All the houses on that gorgeous block on the Long Island sound have ‘names’

        • LA Debra says:

Old British tradition of naming the manor houses I think.

          • iceNfire says:

Like Dowtown – every time I see that place my first thought is how beautiful it is followed quickly by how the hell do they keep it clean?

  21. Powell says:

Ok. The tea party. Why does Adrienne lie so much?? She knows Bernie did just what Brandi said he did & A knows her lawyer sent some type of correspondence to Brandi’s lawyer. A client knows when their lawyer is doing something on their behalf. All of those billable hours add up. A knows what her lawyer did. And you know how else you can tell she lies? She never answers a question straight. Every time Brandi asked her a question A just answered the question w/the same question & uses that tone & says stuff like “oh, that isn’t nice.”. Makes you want to go thru the tv & slap her. And Taylor. She thru hints. What did Lisa say to her. “I know what you’re doing Taylor”. She asked Taylor to stop w/the hints. What does Taylor do? She skips her ass to her seat & BAMM. “Brandi you said you received a letter.” Wasn’t that just 5seconds ago that Lisa tells her to stop it. And Kyle. “I don’t want to be in the middle of it.”, “I want them to work it out themselves.” Then you can see on her face that she wants just one person to bring it up. Then “I don’t understand”. Another slap thru my tv is called for. When Brandi said on her TH that she wants to print out what the lawyer sent, I was like please just go use Lisa’s computer & pull it from your email & print it out like its wallpaper & pass it around that table to shut up A, Camille, Kyle & FayeK. Brandi needs to show all the proof she has about everything and show A as the liar she is. I hope she brings her “folder” to the reunion.

    • iceNfire says:

Yes – Brandi would say something like “I got a letter” and Adri responded with ” You sent a tweet” …..And Kyle geez, she almost had a heart attack trying to keep Lisa from leaving the table with Brandi and Taylor in tow. That was funny

      • Powell says:

Adrienne really gets on my nerves.
Yeah Kyle wanted it to start & not for Lisa to tell Taylor & Brandi to not talk about it.

  22. VV says:

To can say what you want about KJo. She contributed to the Func for Lynn. I don’t think ANY of the Housewives of ANY franchise ever did. If I am mistaken, please somebody let me know. I doubt Bethenny gave a single penny…

    • Pghemtchick says:

One outburst doesn’t define a person, but gives a glimpse of their character. We all have horrible days and we have great days. I don’t think anyone is overly judging, just pointing out a disagreement cause this big war. I’m guessing it was a bad day. We all have them, and need to own them. No one is perfect.

As for housewives, I’m not sure. It did seem as though the DC housewives were most effected. It wouldn’t surprise me if Lynda and Cat donated. They were truely grieving right there with us on twitter/FB/etc.

    • chismosa says:

      You said it all VV

  23. VV says:

Func=Fund…meaning the Fund for Lynn’s son.

  24. princesspindy says:

Adrienne says “I” never did “whatever” to Brandi, maybe that is because it was PAUL who talked to the lawyer and it was PAUL’S lawyer that did it…..that way Adrienne can have deniability…..just a thought that has been rattling around, lonely, in my head….

    • mrspeabody says:

could be, could be……I guess she can’t be lying if Paul is the one that did it and she didn’t but then again he did it on their behave so I call lier.

    • Powell says:

Nah PrincessP & Mrs Peabody. Adrienne would take charge of that. She never showed she gave Paul much credit for doing things.

      • princesspindy says:

True, but he was pretty pissed at that party….but she really did have his balls in a jar.

        • iceNfire says:

I wonder if they were legally separated at this time meaning that his/her money would be separate. I also wonder if they ever jointly held anything seeing how Adri is such a strong business woman and would want to protect her Maloof money which was quite a large amount at the time. Still wondering about their prenupt which was probably set up to protect the now diminished Maloof money. Remember when Jessica Simpson married Nick Lachey and he had more money than her so her father/manager insisted that no prenupt was needed. LoL that certainly came back to bite!

          • princesspindy says:

who would have thought JS would become a billionaire…. I don’t know, but I would think there was a prenup..

            • mrspeabody says:

I remember that and it is true there was no prenup at her dad’s insistance and it did come back to bite them

    • princesspindy says:

I didn’t realize it was that bad…..that’s is just sick, allegedly..

    • pat says:

It’s just chilling, to scroll through and see the evolution of her attempted morph into Brandi. I don’t see this ending well for someone, if LR doesn’t get diagnosed and treated (if she can be treated) stat.

I was reading this month’s Essence Mag at the hair salon. That’s the only way I read mags these days. Subscriptions are ridiculous & just add to much clutter that I don’t need. Anyway, Kandi was in there. She’s estimated to be worth $35 mill. She’s co-owner of 2 stores we see on HW’s, writes, sings, sex toy line & has rental income. She said she’s always lived below her means & sets a monthly allowance for herself. The best advice she received about finances was from LL Cool J. He told her make sure you own 1 house & 1 car. Every time you get a check take a portion of it & put it on the principal of your house. He gave her great advice. She should have given that advice to Sheree.

    • chismosa says:

wow i thought she’d be valued more than that– not that that’s low by any means. Good for Kandi. She’s such a Taurus – very money practical. (then again Kim Zolci-trash is a Taurus too, hmmm)

LL Cool J used to live in my town, he’d drive around in his black fancy car and i think once i was near him on the street but his windows were too tinted. He moved to LA after. And now, of course…. like a lot of rappers- moved to acting.

    Hello everybody!

I like this site and I love reading the recaps and articles y’all do. Do posters post here while they watch the shows? If I wanted to post during the Atlanta show tonight, where would I find other members posting?

    Thank you!

Everybody knows that Tre has to win so I’m sure she has everyone and their uncle voting. Take her out of equation and Lisa wins

Nancy are you here? Can you give me a guesstimate of how long it will be ’til Kid is up and about? Surgery was Thursday afternoon and It still very painful when he takes a very short trip to the bathroom.

    • Nancy says:

      Hi iceNfire,
I was afraid that was going to happen as he stopped taking his pain meds. It’s a VERY
painful post-op period. I would get some non diet coke and have him try the meds again. Also take it with some food as well. I’m not sure what kind of brace he is in but
ice could help as well and of course keeping it elevated.

    • Nancy says:

Sorry I didn’t answer your question. I really have no idea when he will be able to get up
to join his normal life again. One of my skating friends had the surgery and it took him a long time to be able to skate again. What did the doctor say?

    • Lisa Renee says:

Ice, saw your post yesterday. I was surprised to learn he can put no weight on it, my understanding to certain breaks is up & at em as soon as possible post op. It complicates his after care a bit. A few things I hope will help. I suggest starting him on stool softners, even if he isnt taking pain meds or barely moving around he is tense from pain some people seize up & that is a belly ache he doesn’t want. Better safe than sorry. If pain meds make him nauseous try something else like Lortab/Vicodin type. Maybe just Tylenol 3. I wonder if something like Flexarill (muscle relaxer) would be more productive than codeine. Suppositories are a great option for nausea(fenergen) when you cant keep pills down, as I just experienced. Also, I could not keep down any meds & reached back to my juvenile delinquent ways & crushed dizzy med & nausea med & mixed it with applesauce. Some stayed down, more than whole pills coming back. I melted the valium in water & got it down that way. Meds are absorbed differently/quicker when crushed. Please please please check with his doctor. My big thing for post op people is to avoid constipation. These are just suggestions & please, if it doesn’t apply, let it fly. Sending you healing thoughts, Lisa

      • Nancy says:

Lisa it’s not a broken bone he ruptured his tendon so no weight bearing for a while.

      • iceNfire says:

Hi Lisa – Thank you for helping. I think he will be calling the doctor 1st thing in the morning, he’s starting to realize that surgery is a serious thing. It was a ruptured achilles and not a broken bone, we are both going stir crazy here but surgery did go well and he is on the mend.
