Demand for Retraction – Don’t say I was Married to Asa from Shahs – It Hurts My Business – Gossip by NoMoreDrama
Wow. Boston sent me a link to an article that implied that Asa from Shahs was – or used to be – married to a man named Shaahin Cheyene. This is the article that talks about Asa Soltan Rahmati and her art and her filmmaker husband. It also references another article in the LA Times that talks about the couple’s home renovation. I found that one here. It was from 2007 – but covers the couple’s four year journey to remodel their Venice Beach bungalow. In 2012 the LA Times printed a retraction stating that the couple was mis-identified as being married – but they were never married. It seems that once Asa appeared on Shahs of Sunset, the backlash through the American Iranian community was so strong that Shaahin needed to distance himself from her. So much so that his lawyers have been asking that any articles referencing that the couple was ever married be retracted. You can read the letter asking for the retraction here. In the letter it states:
“Mr. xxxxx, apparently working on your behalf, published a piece online in the Lansing Journal entitled “TV gets Persian Reality Check in ‘Shahs of Sunset.’ In that piece Mr. Cheyene is described as having been married to Ms. Asa Soltan Rhamti(currently starring in said sHe is not now, nor has he ever been married to Ms. Rahamti. This is an outright falsehood and one which is causing Mr. Cheyene a serious measure of distress and potentially costing him business. He brought this to your attention in the aforementioned correspondence as well. In spite of that correspondence your company has taken no action and offered no response. While this may be a small issue to you the fact is that this particular show, according to Mr. Cheyene, is not being well received in the Iranian community. From my own experience, the Iranian community in Los Angeles is very intertwined and in the social circles in which Mr. Cheyene travels this incorrect association could very well damage his reputation and hurt his business interests. We believe this matter requires a modicum of cultural sensitivity and deference to Mr. Cheyene’s knowledge of his own community. Your perception of whether or not this is damaging is not relevant; what is relevant is that this is false, published, and causing legal injury to Mr. Cheyene for which your company may be liable.”
Wow. You know it’s bad when your ex takes such strong measures to distance himself from you. Is it worth it?
Teresa Giudice’s Milania Hair Cair Launch Party was filmed for Bravo. The camera’s were enough to scare Dina Manzo away, but she tweeted her support: “Sorry I’m missing
@Teresa_Giudice launch of @MilaniaHairCare tonight. I’m a little camera shy ; ) I actually use & LOVE the products! #truth” Teresa and Dina have been tweeting support for each other ever since Dina announced that she is separated from husband Tommy.
Meanwhile, both Jennifer Dalton, Priscilla DiStasio, and Melissa Gorga, were at the event. No sign of the Laurita/Manzo group.
Dance Moms – You’ve been Unfriended – By: adelaidesmommy
Welcome back to Pittsburgh! The moms/kids arrive at Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) – including Christi and Chloe. Kelly hasn’t heard anything from Christi in a week. Christi apologizes to Abby Lee Miller (ALM), but ALM doesn’t speak back to her. Christi ignores her and walks into the dressing room. ALM is upset. Christi notices that Kelly isn’t excited to see her.
Time for pyramid. ALM is upset about losing to the Apples. Here’s how the pyramid breaks down (starting from the bottom, Chloe will not be on the pyramid):
- Paige – got thrown under bus with duet
- Kendall – solo didn’t make top ten
- Mackenzie – did a good job in the group
- Brooke – officially back on the team, her dancing was excellent, needs her to be more of a role model
- Maddie – hasn’t had solo for weeks, but got first
The girls are attending In10sity dance in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Everyone is in the group dance – it’s contemporary and titled “Money is the route of all evil.” Although ALM misquotes the bible, Christi totally misses the reference and doesn’t understand why money is evil. The girls will be wearing green by wearing real money. Maddie gets a solo. Brooke gets a solo. The moms head upstairs while the girls stretch.
In the balcony, Christi says she feels like an outsider. Holly debriefs her on what happened during the last competition. Kelly asks Christi why she didn’t answer her phone calls/texts. Christi said she didn’t get her texts and missed her call and she didn’t call back because she was having a bad week. She leaves and Kelly is pissed and thinks it’s an excuse. Christi walks back in and tells Christi her feelings were hurt because she didn’t call. Kelly swears she called several times. It goes back and forth for a bit.
Christi asks about Melissa’s relationship with ALM – saying she noticed it’s improved. Melissa tries to make some excuse and Kelly interjects and says it’s because Sophia decided to quit, so ALM is stuck with Maddie. Melissa agrees to some extent. Downstairs, ALM refers to Chloe as “girl” or “that girl”. She refuses to use her name until Chloe makes her remember it. Obviously, this upsets Chloe and she cries to her mom. Chloe says she doesn’t feel like a person. Christi tells her to not get upset and give ALM the power.
Melissa asks Kelly to help her in the closet. Melissa tries to find out what’s going on between Kelly and Christi. Kelly fills her in. Melissa tells Kelly that she did all she could and it’s time to move on.
Brooke’s lyrical solo is called “Care Less.” ALM gives her a pep talk about not being mediocre – and asks her to care more. She is trying to motivate Brooke. Nia tells Paige she is going to ask ALM if they can do the duet. After she asks, ALM is impressed and thinks Nia is very mature. She tells her it’s exactly what she wanted to see from her. She tells Nia that she will think about it – but that she’s not saying no.
Melissa and Christi go out for drinks. Why am I not surprised? Melissa is so two-faced. First, she pulls Kelly aside and says Christi needs to get over it. Now, she is gossiping about Kelly to Christi. UGH! She tells Christi that Kelly is stubborn. Christi thanks Melissa for reaching out to her.
Maddie is doing a lyrical solo called “You don’t know me.” Seriously, a slow dance again? ALM calls Paige and Nia together to go over the duet. Because they learned it two weeks ago, she says it should look twice as good as the solo routines that Maddie and Brooke just learned. After they dance, ALM calls down Holly and Kelly. ALM agrees to let them do the duet. She tells the moms that she wants to move forward and their behavior last week would not be tolerated. The moms/kids are happy.
In the balcony, Jill asks Christi about the situation with Kelly. Christi says she’s upset because when Kelly was kicked out, she called her every day, but Kelly didn’t do that for her. In TH, Christi said all the moms except Kelly called her. What? She admitted earlier that Kelly did call once. I’m so confused. Christi starts to cry. She doesn’t think anyone missed her and Chloe. Ironic as Kelly was the only one who said she missed them last week.
During group rehearsal, ALM refers to Chloe as blondie. Christi gets upset and tells ALM that her daughter has a name. ALM says “so do you and it starts with a b.”
At the competition, ALM reminds the kids that dance is part of the culture in Florida. Melissa gossips with Kelly about Christi. She says she did call Christi, but Christi never called her back. Melissa said that Christi doesn’t answer her calls either. She tells Kelly that she didn’t do anything wrong. At this point, I wish my TV was an Etch-a-Sketch and I could shake Melissa off of it. I’m hoping Christi and Kelly catch on and become unified against her.
Maddie’s solo is up first. ALM thinks it will be very different than all the others she’s done. Fail. To me, it looked identical to everything she’s done. ALM led us to think it would be dark and mysterious…. I didn’t get that. It was the usual Maddie dance with all the same moves, but she frowned a lot. However, she danced it beautifully. ALM said technically – it was superb.
Brooke is next. ALM says she’s nailing the routine – and it’s like the old Brooke is back. I really enjoyed watching Brooke. It’s been so long since we’ve seen her do a solo and she is obviously more advanced than any other girl on the team.
Next, Paige and Nia perform the duet. It’s very cute – and finally, we get to see an upbeat and fun number. I smiled the entire dance. In TH, ALM says there were things they could have done better, but that’s not what the piece was about. It was musical theater – and they did it perfectly. She is very happy with the duet.
In the dressing room, ALM compliments everyone and gives hugs all around. It’s so nice to see this for a change. The moms are pleased. ALM gives a little talk to Nia about what happened last week and why she pulled the duet. It’s her way of telling Nia it wasn’t her fault. ALM confuses me – she’s horrible one week and then awesome the next.
Finally – the group routine. Chloe is nervous because it’s been two weeks since she’s been on stage. I LOVE the costumes. I’m not a fan of the dollar bills – but the sparkling green is a nice change and channels the Emerald City. ALM is happy because it’s different than what they’ve seen today.
Time for awards. First up is Elite Junior Duo/Trios. Nia and Paige receive 4th place. ALM thinks they were lucky to make the top five. For Teen Solo, Brooke gets 5th place. ALM says although she didn’t get 1st, Brooke danced well and showed her she cares. I think her category must be tough as Brooke’s dance was amazing. For Elite Junior Solo, Maddie gets 1st place. For Elite Junior Small Groups, the girls get 1st place. ALM is ecstatic – she give congrats all around in the dressing room and leaves.
Christi and Kelly decide to talk in private. The other moms listen through the door. It’s back and forth about Kelly and the calls. Christi said she should have driven to Christi’s house if she wasn’t answering. Then – they start saying “f… you” to each other. Super classy, ladies. It ends without a resolution.
That’s it, folks! Next week, Broadway Baby passes away, we cross paths with the Black Patsy, and Melissa dedicates Maddie’s solo to the dog – to spite the other moms.
(Dance Moms Miami Lucas was at this competition and was a runner up to Maddie – he had a small cameo but we didn’t see him dance 😦 NMD)
Revenge “Sacrifice” by SugarMagnolia
“Sacrifice, by its strictest definition takes something for the appeasement of a higher power. An abiding devotion to a cause that cannot be satisfied by a simple promise. Because an oath, no matter how solemn, asks nothing in return. While true sacrifice demands unspeakable loss.”
Setting the scene–deep underwater in the Atlantic, somewhere between Montauk and Nantucket, we see the rescue dive team swimming around the remains of the Amanda. I must warn all of my fellow revenge fans that this is an emotional episode. We have been waiting for this since fall, and now we finally find out what happens. *self disclosure–I have fallen for the suspension of disbelief on this show and have gotten quite attached to its characters. I hope you are with me on this! I cried some real tears.*
Below deck, Jack and Fauxmanda are enjoying their honeymoon. Romance abounds, and they decide to take it above deck where it is cooler. As they go up, we see Felon Ryan is still hiding, ready to make his next move.
The Pool House
The Graysons are still in the midst of hiding the demise of Helen. Her driver is getting impatient in the driveway and some action must be taken. The Queen, as always, has a plan. The carpet is unrolled long enough for Victoria to snatch Helen’s signature scarf and sunglasses, along with her phone, and enter her waiting car. Problem solved ala Grayson. “The bitch had it coming.”
All of the evidence has been disposed of and the Queen has called back the staff. Daniel is not quite as seasoned in the murder business as his parents, and is finding the normality very odd. But, it’s business as usual for Conrad and Victoria. Now that he knows about the Inititave, he needs to shoulder some of the responsibility. And, the Queen has a Labor Day party to plan. Pinning Helen’s murder on Fauxmanda is the soup du jour, regardless of the fact that she is Charlottes sister. Get over it Daniel, you are a Grayson, and Grayson’s don’t like to get their hands dirty. Because of her theft of Emily’s laptop, and the compelling video, they are pretty certain that Faux has been behind all of the revengenda. The Queen is going to feed her to the Ininiatave, period. She reveals to Daniel that there is live video feed in his office (which we know is in the clock) and is going to use that to her advantage. Meet me in my car. Enter Honey Boo Boo, aka Ashley, who has been summoned by Conrad. She is curious what pressing matters require her PR/Fixer skills so early. Conrad has decided to announce his Gubernatorial candidacy at the Queens party that very evening. Ashley strongly advises against this choice, especially since she witnessed Fauxmanda blackmailing him with the laptop. She isn’t privvy to why, but she knows something is rotten in Denmark. In a nutshell, he tells her to serve her purpose and do her job.
Nolan is on tablet with Emily and Aiden, in an “unhackable” meeting room. Nolan always gets the best lines; he asks Aiden where he is. “What’s your 20 Mr. Bean.” The discussion, as usual, is centering around the Graysons and the Initiative. Then Padma gets thrown into the mix. Nolan does not want her involved or harmed, and still trusts her. *I don’t* She’s “off limits”. Emily convinces him that Aiden is the best person to counsel her if she is, in fact, being blackmailed by the Iniitiative. Emily has to end the conversation as Honey Boo Boo is at the cottage door. (IMHO, Ashley is pretty lucky to be alive. She stole a 4th degree black belts boyfriend. Emily could mop up the cottage with her but does not. Girl, do not darken MY doorstep!). Ems is cordial to Ashley, but definitely gets the cold shoulder. As she listens to HBB, she finally learns about her missing laptop. She does her best to hide her emotions, scoots Ashley out, then runs to her hiding spot. Infinity box is there, the laptop is not. “Amanda, what did you do….?” Trouble in Revenge City.
Aft Deck on the Amanda
The honeymooners are waking up with lots of love and smiles. They have been anchored during the night. Faux is going to make breakfast while Jack gets the sails going. He finds a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, and is wondering who has been smoking on the boat. He begins to head down the galley, and he finds his bride at gunpoint with the Felon Ryan.
Jack is trying to get the felon to put down his gun. However, he is not, due to his recent experience with the Grayson’s. They convince him to get Conrad on the phone to sort out the mess. No one is getting a signal, but Felon is going to try his cell. He probably shouldn’t have cut the ship-to-shore line. Sailing 101. Faux, knowing the revegenda and equipped with juvie experience, knows that he is going to kill them unless they kill him first. This is not her first time at the rodeo, but it is Jack’s. Faux is as cool as a cucumber while Jack convinces the Felon that if they get closer to shore, he will get cell service. Felon decides to sail while Jack is locked up and he has Faux at the end of the barrel of his gun.
Charlotte is sitting for baby Carl, uploading wedding pictures, when Emily stops by. In one of the photos, Emily’s keen eye sees the Felon in one of the windows and realizes that Jack and Faux are in trouble. She snaps a photo and takes it to Nolan. He does his computer magic, finds the Felon. “We need a boat.” And they are off to look for our favorite newlyweds.
Daniel has embraced the deception that defines his family, brought his assistant biscotti, and is faking Helen’s no-show to breakfast. The Queen enters, does her best Meryl Streep, and Daniel is doing his best performance ever. All for the Iniatives camera in the clock. Helen has been missing for over 8 hours now and they must keep those Grayson hands clean. For the first time, Mother and Son are on the same page.
Enter Padma. She is looking for Nolan, who is already on a speedboat with Emily. But Aiden is there. He hands her his phone, with Nolan on the line, warning/counseling her on how to proceed. Trust Aiden, because his sister was taken by the same people who have her father. * For the record, I still don’t trust Padma.*
The Felon calls Conrad, and is informed that Faux is the one holding the cards, aka the incriminating laptop. Happy Wife, Happy Life. “That’s because the wife is the source of the issue, leaving the husband blissfully ignorant.” Connie fills the Felon in on “the laptop.” He compels Faux to retrieve it, but she doesn’t. Instead, she pulls out her glock, which Felon has emptied of bullets. Foiled again. She pretends that she is Emily and tells Felon about her revenge plans. Jack is still below deck and finds Declans laptop. He heard every word she said. Faux is a good liar and convinced the Felon that the laptop is still in Montauk. Meanwhile, Jack just got online and Nolan has found them. *I must say, the boat scenes were a little campy “Charlies Angel’s” style.*
Char is still watching baby Carl, and the Queen arrives. Char is now a Clarke, no longer a Grayson by name, but the Queen convinces her to show up to the Labor Day party for Conrad’s gubernatorial announcement. One more publicity stunt. As soon as her daughter turns her back, she dumps Helen’s scarf, sunglasses, and phone under Faux’s bed. She never loses focus and still plans to set up Faux for the most recent murder.
Aiden and Padma. He is telling her about his sister’s abduction and trying to help her with her father. *still don’t believe it!* He hands her her cellphone and asks her to find Helen. Neither of them know she is wrapped in carpet sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic. She makes a call to the deceased, telling her she will deliver the Carrion program in it’s completion once she knows her father is still alive.
Jack and Faux are tricking the Felon. For a criminal, he sure falls for lies easily. Nate is below deck looking for the laptop while Jack and Faux “pretend fight” and set up the escape boat. She reveals the laptop and waits for Jacks’s signal. He says “GO”, and she locks the Felon below. Nate starts shooting the locks and lands a bullet in Jack. Faux puts him in the escape boat and sets him out to sail for safety. His heart is breaking because she lets him go to save him. Faux is ready to fight the great fight. For him. For Carl. For Emily. It’s come to a head, and the plan must be followed through. It’s a proverbial shootout, and only the strong will survive. Faux wakes up with a head wound, and finds her next plan. She cracks a pipe to start filling the boat with water which will eventually sink it. Emily and Nolan are watching and racing to get to her.
Back and forth between the Queen and King. Big Labor Day party, and Conrad is announcing his bid for governor. Enter Mr. Trask–the newest representation for the Initiiave. He’s looking for Helen. This is where things get tricky. The Queen tries to say that she traded evidence for Daniel’s safety, but Trask knows that Helen would not negotiate. They put Fauxmanda on the chopping block once again–the laptop, the videos….Everything. The Queen excuses Mr. Trask by telling him to get the hell out of her house.
Emily and Nolan have located Jack floating on the Atlantic. They pull him to safety. However, Emily won’t leave Faux, and she gets off the speedboat and into the temp boat to go find her. *this is where I get teary*. Ems ensures that Nolan has the balls to get Jack to a hospital, and goes into the dark night to find her twin.
Back at the Stowaway, Trask is on the hunt for Helen. He finds her scarf and phone under Faux’s bed, listens to the last message from Padma, and arranges for “delivery”. Helen has been compromised. Aiden and Padma are attempting to get proof that her father is alive, and Trask points her to the last delivery she received at Nolcorp. In that box is a finger–Trask encourages her to print it for proof, but Aiden opened the box and is shielding her from the gruesome reality. This is the part that brings tears….*i have 3 children, and a brown belt in karate. I would take no prisoners when it comes to the safety of my husband and littles. I would kick the shinola out of anyone who attempted to put them in danger. Martial arts are not about violence, but self-defense. I would honor my sensei. But still, knock he/she into next Tuesday to keep my family safe.*
On the boat, here comes Emily. A big fight ensues. As Emily and Felon are rolling around below deck, she shouts to Faux to find Felon’s gun. He has Emily’s gun in his hand and shoots the propane. Faux shoots him from above deck and they make their escape. Gas is leaking and Felon has one last word in his aresenal–a lighter. Amanda wants her necklaces that Emily gave her years ago in juvie–they are on the edge of the boat. Emily screams “NO AMANDA!” But, it’s too late. The boat has exploded. Emily found Faux after the explosion, and she was fatally injured. The two of them swimming in the Atlantic, ala Titanic, was heartbreaking. Faux made Emily promise to take care of her family, then passed away. The first tears and sobs from Ms. Thorne came right after. She grieved and then let Faux slip into the night and ocean. After several more tears, hanging onto a raft, she shot an emergency shot into the air to allow Nolan to find her. She has lost soooo much. I hope the Revenge is worth it. Loss.
“Sacrifice demands the surrender of things we cherish above all else. Out of all of the agony, a new resolution can be born. An undying devotion to a cause greater than one’s self, and a moral duty too see the journey through to it’s absolute completion.”
The Walking Dead Episode 9: The Suicide King by BlueSkyForever
Daryl just can’t leave Woodbury without talking to his brother, so he gets caught. The crowd listens to the Gov tell them that Merle is a traitor. The Gov has arranged for Daryl & Merle to fight until one of them dies. Andrea tries to stop the fight to no avail. The Governor pits brother against brother, in a gladiator style fight with walkers. These walkers still have their teeth, unlike previous exhibition fights Merle has done. Merle starts by kicking Daryl to the ground, then while wrestling and strangling each other, Merle tells Daryl “follow my lead brother.” So they stand up, backs against each other, to fight the walkers. It’s looking bad for the brothers, until Maggie & Rick start firing. Rick throws a smoke bomb. Now the brothers have a chance to make a run for it. Why doesn’t Andrea join them? We see a smile on the Governor’s face as he realizes Rick will fight hard to save his friend. And we know how much the Gov likes a good fight, especially when he gets a kill shot.
As they run to find Rick, Daryl grabs a cross bow from one of the Woodbury fighters. They catch up with Maggie & Rick. Rick objects to Merle being with them, but realizes he might be useful escaping the town. After all, no one can kill walkers as well as Merle. As they run from the town, a walker manages to get thru the torn metal barrier into the town. We see Michonne and Glen waiting by a car on the road. When they see Merle, they want to kill him. Merle is a disgusting pos, he almost killed both Glen & Michonne. As they argue about Merle, it’s obvious that he will not be allowed to join Rick’s group.
Back at the prison, Hershel stitches up one of Tyreese’s people. They are surprised but happy to see Rick’s baby. Tyreese wants to stay at the prison, but Hershel tells him it’s not up to him. When Rick gets back he will tell them if they can stay.
In the forest, a discussion about what to do with Merle begins. Rick, Maggie & Glen don’t want him, they think he’s too dangerous. Daryl asks them if they trust Michonne more than Merle. When Daryl realizes Merle is not wanted, he chooses to go with his brother. Rick tries to persuade Daryl to stay with them. Daryl goes to his brother & they walk off into the woods. Merle has a smirk on his face. Rick tells Michonne they will patch up her wounds, but then she has to go. As usual, Michonne’s face is inscrutable.
Back at the prison, Tyreese’s group is going about burying their fallen member Donna. One guy wants to kill off the small group in the prison. Tyreese is horrified, does he want to kill the baby too? After Beth and Alex bring them shovels, Tyreese lets his group know they will not be overtaking the prison.
Back on the road, a truck blocks the way. Glenn freaks out killing a walker that lunges out of the truck. He is upset that Rick didn’t kill the Gov. Maggie was sexually assaulted by the Gov, and Glen who can barely walk is mad that he can’t avenge Maggie. Now Daryl, one of their best fighters, is gone. Glen is doubting Rick’s ability to lead the group.
Meanwhile back in Woodbury people are trying to leave. They no longer think Woodbury is safe. Andrea tries to calm them down, but the Gov’s bullies don’t make it easy. Screams come from a block away, as walkers attack some town people. Andrea runs to kill the walkers as they feed on their victim. Finally the Gov makes an appearance, killing the person attacked by the walkers with a shot to the head. Back in house, Andrea tells him she’s shocked that the Gov shot the victim without saying a word to the people. Andrea doesn’t know anything about what the Gov allowed Merle to do to Maggie and Glen. The Gov just tells her that Rick’s group attacked Woodbury when Rick came to get them back. He blames Rick for all the people killed in Woodbury. Milton comes to tell the Gov that the town people are really upset. He wants the Gov to talk to them, but the Gov refuses. Andrea addresses the crowd, calming the people down. She’s becoming a leader.
Carol & Carl Jr. are happy to see Rick return, but Carol is sad that Daryl chose to go with Merle. Hershel tells Rick he has a new problem to handle. Before Rick talks to Tyreese, he wants to hold his baby daughter. Carol and Beth talk about Daryl, how his loss is a big one. Carol tells Beth Daryl has his own code, which dictated that he has to stay with his brother. The baby makes Rick’s group bond over keeping her and themselves alive. They can’t leave the prison it would be too hard with the baby. Hershel thanks Glen for saving Maggie, telling him he is like his own son. Hershel goes to talk to Maggie. He sees that Maggie and Glen are not feeling the love lately. He tries to help Maggie, who is still disturbed by the Gov’s attack on her. It will take Maggie some time to get over that. Although she wasn’t raped, the Gov forced her to strip, then was about to rape her when he forced her onto a table. He stopped, as Maggie listened to Merle beating Glen in the next room. It was a violent confrontation that both Maggie & Glen will need some time to get over.
Hershel is nursing Michonne. He says she has a concussion, needs rest. Then Rick goes to meet Tyreese and the other 3 people in his group. They want to stay, help out Rick’s group any way they can. Hershel asks Rick to let them stay. Rick says he can’t be responsible for any more people. Then he sees Lori, and really flips out. He’s talking to Lori, asking her “why are you here” and “just get out.” Everyone realizes Rick is deranged. Tyreese thinks Rick is telling him to leave, so he & his group exit. In the next episode, we will see more of Rick interacting with Lori’s specter.
The Walking Dead Episode 10: Home by BlueSkyForever
Rick is using binoculars to scan the perimeter. He sees Lori again, in the same long white dress as before. He goes out to where she is, at her grave. Just as he gets to her, she is gone. He looks for her then sees her outside the prison fence. Quickly he unlocks the gates to go out to her. Michonne is there to close the gate as he exits. Rick goes to a small footbridge, as Lori reaches out her hands to embrace his face. He is lost in his vision.
Back in Woodbury, the Gov’s toughs are watching from on top of the wall made out of old army trucks, metal sheets and huge tires. The Gov goes to Andrea’s apartment to tell her she gave a good speech. She asks about the prison. The Gov lies and says there will be no retaliation. Andrea wants to go to the prison. The Gov tells her she should stay in Woodbury and lead the town. Is the Gov manipulating her to stay in Woodbury while he goes on about his nasty business? Yes.
Merle and Daryl are in the woods, on their own now. Merle tells Daryl that the Gov will kill everyone in the prison.
Glen is trying to figure out how to make the prison safer. The front is breached & the walkers are able to get in. They cannot get to the part of the prison secured by Rick’s group, but they can’t get out that way either. So now they are trapped, walkers at the front of the prison and the Gov coming to attack them from their side where the fence and yard are. Glen wants to go back to the town and kill the Gov. He is over ruled by the others. Hershel wants to leave, but Glen says the baby will cry and attract walkers. So for now they decide to make a stand in the prison. With Rick gone crazy, no one is watching outside.
Andrea is looking for the Gov. Milton won’t tell her where he’s gone. The guards on the wall won’t tell her. Milton tells her the Gov is out on a run, for supplies maybe. We’ll see about that.
Hershel is worried about the coming attack. Glen decides to take a truck to see what is going on outside the prison fence. He checks on Maggie, but she doesn’t want to talk to him. Other than to describe the Gov’s attack on her in nasty detail. Glen doesn’t know how to talk to her about it. Maggie won’t let Glen touch her. Trouble in paradise.
Carol and Alec are fortifying the prison defenses. He tells her why he’s in prison – for robbing a store with a toy gun. Carol shows him how to load a hand gun.
The boyscouts Merle & Daryl are walking through the woods. Daryl hears a baby. They see a group under attack on a bridge, fighting off walkers. Daryl goes to help them, Merle wants to just ignore them & keep going. Daryl starts killing walkers and saving people, just in the knick of time. The woman with the baby is trapped in her vehicle. No worries, Daryl pulls out a walker from the back and slams the cargo door on its head. They just keep thinking of more ingenious ways to off a walker don’t they. This group doesn’t speak English. Merle pulls his gun on the leader, he’s looking for supplies in the car with the baby. Daryl aims his crossbow at Merle, tells him to get out of the vehicle, and tells the group to leave. Daryl has seen Merle at his worst, and now wants to go back to his real friends, Rick’s group. Merle is arguing with Daryl as they walk back through the woods. It’s killing Merle that Daryl likes Rick more than him. Merle reminds him that they were planning on robbing Rick’s camp back in Atlanta, before Merle got handcuffed to the pipe on the rooftop. A lot has happened to Daryl since then, he’s become a better person after getting away form his pos brother. Then Merle rips Daryl’s shirt, sees the scars on his back. At that moment he realizes that their father beat Daryl too. Merle left, not protecting Daryl from their father. Merle says he can’t go to the prison but Daryl doesn’t want to hear it. Rather than stay alone, Merle runs after Daryl.
Things are not going well back at the prison. Hershel hobbles on his crutches after Glen. He wants to make sure Glen isn’t going back to Woodbury by himself. Hershel reasons with Glen, telling him he trusts him with Maggie’s life. Glen says with Rick in crazy town, now he’s in charge. Glen drives off in a truck. Meanwhile Rick is still wondering around outside the prison. Beth is trying to get her sister Maggie to help her feed the baby. Maybe it will help dull Maggie’s pain.
Rick hears shouting, it’s Hershel from inside the fence yelling at him. Rick wonders over to see what he wants. Hershel tells Rick that Glenn can’t fill his boots, they need him back. Hershel wants to know what Rick is doing. Rick is “doing stuff.” Like chasing Lori’s specter? Rick tells Hershel about seeing Lori. Rick says he knows it’s not really her, but it must mean something. He tells Hershel he heard Lori & Shane on the telephone, in the prison….Rick knows it doesn’t make sense. Hershel asks him to come back inside, get some rest. But Rick can’t come back inside the fence just yet. Michonne is watching with a worried look. Carol and the last survivor from the prison are standing outside, watching the gate. Alec tells her about his brother, then gets hit by a bullet. The Gov is standing outside the prison as the attack begins.
Bullets are flying everywhere. One of the Gov’s men has made it to a watch tower. Rick, Michonne, Carol and Hershel are pinned down. The Gov is enjoying himself immensely. Maggie comes running with guns, but they are unable to make headway against the attackers. An engine roars, here comes a big van crashing through the gate. The back door opens, walkers come tumbling out. Nice surprise, now they have to battle them too. Hershel is in danger he doesn’t have much of a chance if the walkers get to him. Uh oh, Rick is out of ammo and the walkers have him against the fence. Too late, Glen comes back in his truck as the Gov and his men make a fast get away. As Rick battles walkers at the fence, an arrow pierces one of them in the head. Daryl to the rescue! Merle is doing his best to fight off the walkers too. So Daryl & Merle save Rick. Looks like Rick is realizing he needs more people to help him in his battle with the evil Gov. Go to AMC.com to see coming attractions for the next episode.
