Is Vicki’s Love Tank Empty Again? / Survivor Recap / Top Chef Recap

Let’s Talk about Vicki Gunvalson’s Love Tank and Other Gossip by NoMoreDrama

With Real Housewives of Orange County set to air April 1 (no joke), the ladies are starting to make the tabloids with some pre-show leaks to stir up interest.  First up is Vicki Gunvalson.  The Examiner is reporting that her boo – Brooks Ayers – is a cheater cheater – and is carrying on with other women while wooing Vicki.  Rumors are he’s juggling up to three other women, and he’s still married.  But don’t worry about Vickster.  She claims they were never serious anyway and are taking a break.  I very much hope she’s telling the truth because she deserves better.  No.  I really mean that.

Meanwhile Tamra Barney had yet another Bachelorette party in New York and JillnonotthatJill’s sister  went.  Jill filled us in on the event in yesterday’s comments.  I was sort of under the impression that Tamra’s “boyfriend” Eddie was just a showmance  – but she seems determined to go through with the marriage so maybe it’s real.  Good luck Eddie.  She can be a little mean.

UhOh, someone’s jelly.  Maybe a whole lot of someone’s according to RadarOnline.  Of course we’ve got to consider the source – but the magazine is reporting that Heather Dubrow and Gretchen Rossi also lobbied to get on Dancing with the Stars and are upset that Lisa Vanderpump broke the housewife ceiling and made it on the show.  The ladies are saying that’s not true.  If Kim and Kyle Richards could go on that horrendous diving show, I’m sure all of the ladies are shopping around for other gigs to extend their fifteen minutes. If anything, they should be glad Lisa has broken through – which should make it easier for other housewives.  I’m not sure what the big deal is.  No one knows half the people on Dancing with the *cough* stars anyway at the beginning of the season.

Welcome back Castaways. Week three of the broadcast. Here we go.. Last week, Allie, one of the P4 was sent packing leaving that particular alliance down one girl and re-dubbed the P3 (here). Shamar was invited to join Sherri’s alliance to remain safe. Matt the beard went with Sherri’s side to get rid of Allie even though he swore he was voting for Shamar. Reynold Told Shamar how he would be voting, then he found the immunity idol. THEN the dumbass showed it at tribal council. I wondered why Sherri or anyone else for that matter would want to keep that obnoxious asshole around but it was pointed out to me, that it may be good game play to take the one everyone hates the most, to the end. Sherri said that Shamar was her ‘Phillip’, meaning, Pinky in his original season. All caught up?

sur1Back at camp… You guessed it, Shamar is being a major dick, barking at everyone about how they voted. His feelings are hurt it seems (my impression) and he’s trying to buffalo everyone into never writing his name again (sure fire way to make Me write it but I’m not there). The following day, Reynold and Eddie (P3) are talking, got their heads chopped off at council.. Blindsided. They thought everyone was on board for sending Shamar home, I guess that plan backfired. Sherri is coaching Shamar on how to deal with these two telling him they are going to try and annoy him in every way possible. I don’t think they have to work that hard at it. He is both annoying and easily annoyed. TH Sherri says she owns several franchises and just about everyone who works for her is under 24. So, she’s use to dealing with snotty teenaged brat attitude and that is what she likens Shamar to with his attitude. She believes that is the mindset he comes from. TH Shamar is questioning how willing he is going to be to put up with everyone coming at him and if the million is worth it. It almost sounds as if he’s considering quitting because he knows he’s not welcome (I doubt that will happen though). Has anyone ever quit survivor?

Over at the Bikal camp, Pinky, who has found his swim trunks, is talking about how well in shape he is at 54. He then tells us about his basketball skills (as if anyone gives a shit) playing guys half his age and twice his height.. Whatever… At the cooking pot, TH Corrine is talking about alliances, Pinky and Andrea have teamed up, Cochran and Dawn have teamed up, She and Malcom have teamed up. Next thing we see is the two of them looking for the hidden idol. Well, guess what kiddies… They really should do a better job of hiding these things, Malcom finds it again, and once again, someone knows about it from the start. He says he would have preferred to find it alone but I’m sure he’s thinking back to the trust that he and Denise had through most of the game. Back at camp, Pinky has some sort of dome on his head that he says traps the air and circulates it around and cools the him off. Sort of makes sense, I guess.. He invites Cochran “The Specialist” to try it, he does.. TH Cochran says that back home, every Wednesday at 8 o’clock, he could turn on Survivor and enjoy the show. On the show, every day is like Wednesday a 8 because not only is he watching it, he’s playing the game. He then mentions the Freudian picnic of the beautiful women running around in their underwear..

Corrine is talking to Malcom about the idol (separated from the rest of the camp chatting is never a good thing and both of them should know this).. This doesn’t go unnoticed by the others of course. I think this Idol pact with her is going to end badly. One thing Denise never did, is talk about him having an idol. It was Lisa who outed him on that. Andrea and Cochran are talking, she wants to get rid of Corrine. She approaches Pinky about it tells him she thinks she can get Brandon on board. She then talks to Brandon (with Cochran), he Seems on board. TH Brandon says he still has the voice in his head telling him to trust no one because he’s been done like this before. Until now, he knows he’s the odd man out and lowest on the totem pole. I think he’s been coached by his uncle who thought he played a piss poor game last time around. He further says he’ll give it his all in the game but if it isn’t good enough for them and they vote him out (or something like that), there will be hell to pay in camp.

Over at Gota camp, Shamar and some others are in the shelter and he’s telling them losing his happiness isn’t worth the million. Laura tries to be nice (maybe she really is, though she’s one who wants him gone), tell him she would be sad to see him go. He brushes that off as BS and then goes into his Iraq experiences. Says he saw things, did things, that basically messed him up for a long time and it took a long time for him to like himself again (I am writing this as I watch and I’m not going to bust his balls about this.. I’ve never been in that situation and can’t imagine what it must have been like for him or any of the rest.. I respect their efforts, thank them for it but at the same time, am glad I didn’t have to endure that. I wish none of them did either. So, if he stays in the game, his game play is fair for snark and bashing but not his military experience. I don’t know at this point what he’s going to do). Sherri and a couple others try to convince him that if he quits, he will regret it. Not only that but if he does and they lose the immunity challenge, they will be down two, not just one. He says he appreciates their loyalty to him and agrees to stick it out a few more days to help them out.. Reynold says he had his hopes up for a couple minutes (who should be worried about his own dumb ass) but alas, Shamar is still there. He believes Shamar just played them with the loyalty card. We’ll see…

Immunity / Reward Challenge

sur2 sur4 sur3Day 7.. The object of this game is for the teams to race out into the water to the bamboo cages. Climb over and into them where they will find a heavy trunk. They will have to untie the door to the cage (under water) and then drag the trunk back to the beach. Once there they have to use a rope with a ring to grab a hook on those planks and pull them together to make one long slide. After that’s done, they have to slide the trunk along the slide to the finish line. First one to do that, wins immunity and reward. They are playing for comfort. Chairs, pillows, tarp, that sort of stuff.

Ready Set Go! All contestants are playing here. There are some people who are strong swimmers, and people who are not. Laura and Cochran among the latter group. They cannot start on the knots or dragging the chest until ALL team members are inside the cage. I hope a couple of the stronger ones stay on the outside to help the weaker ones get up and over the top of the cage wall.. Reynold goes back to help drag Laura to the cage. Faves are all inside first followed quickly by the Fans. The Fans get through their door first and begin dragging the chest.. This is some deep water kids.. As the fans begin moving their chest, the faves finally get the door open. Somebody has contacts, and needs the goggles (I think that was Pinky who said that earlier).. The fans are working well together dragging (or rather floating) the chest back to the beach. Faves struggle a bit but catch up once the fans reach the beach. Now they have to get it to and up on the track so they can slide it along. Both teams get it done about the same time and now it’s time to slide the track pieces in place.

sur5They must pull 3 sections of track into place and it takes most of the team members to pull them once the hook is hooked. First are Malcom and Reynold. Renold gets his first and Pinky takes over for Malcom and gets the first one. They then go to the second one, Eddie vs Malcom again.. Malcom hooks it first and they move on to the third section.. Shamar is round 2 and gets the hook hooked and they pull their second section into place. On the third section, Brandon and Eddie.. After several attempts, Brandon hooks the third piece first. Eddie is too nervous for this I think.. As he is still attempting a ringer, Faves push the crate to the end and lift it up on to the finish platform to win immunity and reward (I guess Corrine is safe tonight and so is Brandon.. He won’t be peeing in the rice and burning the shelter, tonight).

Let the backstabbing begin. Which of the faves is going home tonight? Will the P3 become the P2? Let’s find out… I was wrong about the contacts / goggles thing, it was Shamar.. Reynold starts talking to him about it (they are all in a group talking about the challenge at this point), Shamar in so many words tells him to go to hell, just like last week. Reynold and Eddie are talking about how immature Shamar is and how he has got to go but not everyone may be on board for that. Then we see Laura throwing herself under the bus for not being able to swim out to the cage. She had to be helped. I’m going to note here, that it was Eddie who couldn’t hook the hook. Just sayin. Laura is of course still gunning for the P3 and says in her TH, that Hope needs to go next (the other woman on that alliance). Right now, they need Reynold and Eddie around to win challenges. Really? I guess one of them helps but as noted, the other failed miserably on this day. Matt the beard seems to agree. The plan the three of them (Sherri is one of them), is to split the vote to flush out the idol. 3 for Hope, 3 for Eddie.. Sherri tells Shamar this plan, boys vote for Eddie, girls vote for Hope.. Shamar then says that leaves 3 votes for him. 3 way tie. That’s what he thinks… I’m thinking they are trying to force a rock vote (I hope this happens), by forcing Reynold to play the idol for one of his P3 alliance or even himself. Then if it is a 3 way tie, the vote is who to get rid of from the remaining two. I’m not quite sure how this will ensure that Hope goes home, I think they should just give her the boot if that’s what they want to have happen. (I do a lot of thinking, don’t I? I’m usually wrong too). Sherri just hopes that Shamar keeps his mouth shut.

What do we see next? Shamar and Hope talking at the beach as he’s joking about her being in the same spot he’s been in, likely to be voted out. He would rather get rid of Reynold but he has that necklace. TH Hope agrees, she’s concerned for her spot…. He even tells her that He is not going to vote for her which, according to the plan, is true. His game with telling her all this, is to throw  a wrench into the main plan by suggesting that Hope vote for one of the P3, Eddie. Now, Hope tells Julie what just happened, Julie tells Sherri (the one who hoped Shamar could keep his mouth shut). Laura, still worried about her poor performance, is convinced if it isn’t Hope, then it’s her. Since Shamar cannot be trusted, she approaches Reynold and tell him that P3 plus her and Julia, boom, Shamar is gone. He’s on board with that idea. Got all that? I wonder what’s going to happen to Sherri’s game if she loses her Phillip?

Off to council we go.. Let the probsting begin… He first asks Reynold about any ‘fallout’ from the last council. He says there was a lot of it with Shamar bellowing at everyone and could be heard from a kilometer away. Shamar says it wasn’t a km because he was right next to him and Reynold was upset that his plan (to get rid of Shamar) failed. Shamar is the scapegoat for everyone. Okay.. Those of us who have watched have seen Shamar, since he stepped off the boat, being as lazy as possible, doing next to nothing (I don’t know if that is editing or not), barking at everyone, all the while saying to the cameras, he doesn’t want to be the angry black man.. He says he wants to get along with everyone but no one wants to get along with him. Nothing he does is wrong, in his mind. Well, I disagree with him. Is it a game with him or is he really that much of a dick? The bottom line with this guy, as I see it, is he doesn’t see or doesn’t want to recognize how he comes across to others. I’ve had to learn that lesson myself and I still sometimes forget it. Probsting continues and it’s still about Shamar… Sherri says she gets why he’s the way he is with people. Once they cross him there is no coming back. Reynold and Eddie aren’t allowed to talk to him. Let’s not forget what Probst said last week about working together to get to the end, Shamar.. Time to vote… Eddie and Shamar vote for each other.. naturally.. All votes in, Probst asks for the idol. Reynold does not play it for Hope or himself and Eddie for that matter. Whose plan is the one implemented? Let’s see.

Holy Shitballs! I’ve always wanted to see this.. 3 way tie. Hope, Shamar, Eddie (looks like they all stuck to Sherri’s plan but the idol didn’t get played).. I always heard the term rock vote.. Maybe that was from some other show, I don’t know. The drill is, Re-vote. They can only vote for one of the three and those three have no vote. So now it comes down to 6 votes rather than 9.

sur6Alas, in the end, Hope should have listened to Shamar because she wound up with the losing end of the stick. The P3 becomes P2. I wonder if they will cuddle and play grab ass as the P4 did.. Sherri couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Sans the idol being played, exactly as she predicted it would happen. Frankly, I’m disappointed..

See you next week..

Top Chef Seattle Finale by SugarMagnolia

bravotv.com

bravotv.com

Two Chefs remain. One challenge stands between them and the prize. Only one will go home as the winner of Top Chef. Will it be Brooke or Kristen?

Padma is introducing them in a very “Iron Chef” environment. She is gorgeous, as always, but the light is shining on our chefs. We know the prizes at hand. It is time for 2 women to battle for the title. Tom appears, gives the ladies 3 hours, their teams, and time….starts….NOW.

It’s time to throw down. Each have to prove themselves. First course,

Round 1

Kristen

Chicken liver mouse with friesee, mustard. prune, hazelnuts and pumpernickel

Brooke–

Crispy pig ear and chicory salad, six minute egg, apricot egg and candied kumquots.

Judges votes.-Hugh/ Kristen, Gail/Kristen, Emeril/Kristen And Kristen wins Round 1!.

Kristen and Brooke. I have mad love for Brooke–she has given up so much for her little and she is a BEAST in the kitchen. I also have mad love for Kristen. She is classicly trained, and puts everything, heart and soul, on a plate

The judges are gathered, and Gail asks Stephanie Izzard to pass on her tiara. Steph is ready, and feels it’s about time.

Brooke did an amazing dish, but Kristen’s was better. 2 more rounds for these talented ladies to take it. Back to the kitchen. We meet Brooke’s mother, who said that instead of watching cartoons, she watched the “Galopping Gourmet”. ***That is so true to my life, because my middle daughter wants to be a chef. She loves to cook, bake, chop mis en place, even understands the process of tempering eggs…***In the audience, lots of former cheftestants. Michael Voltaggio is a guest, and his is chomping at the bit to be down there with them. He is still hot!

Round 2

Brooke–seared scallop with salt cod puree, speck, black currants and mustard seed vinaigrette (judges and former TC winners loved it. She did a great job of balancing her flavors, as usual, and the scallop was perfectly cooked)

Kristen-Citrus and lavender cured scallop with bitter orange, meyer lemon and apple (Tom expected nothing less from her, and she nailed it. Flavors were simple and not complicated, and she executed it perfectly.)

***after 2 dishes of scallops, I keep hearing Fabio in my head saying “this is top chef, not top scallop!” But, I digress…****

results for Round 2–Gail/Brooke, Emeril/Brooke, Tom/Kristen , Hugh/Brooke. And Brooke takes round 2!!!

It’s now 1-1. The playing field is leveled with a win for both ladies.

If we thought we had a throw down in the beginning, it’s on a whole new level now.

Kristen knows that Brooke has taken round 2, and she wants to highlight flavor profiles. She’s got Sheldon as her sous, and he layers flavor on top of flavors. Brooke wants to redeem herself from the fried chicken challenge, so she is going that direction. Her sous is CJ, **one of my favorites, and whose food I have had the pleasure of tasting.***

They give us a breakdown of the season, and Brooke knew that Kristen would be the one to beat. From challenge to challenge, these ladies owned this season. We get to see more of Kristen’s life. She is Korean, and was adopted by a caucasion family when she was 4 months old. She desires to see a reflection of herself and her heritage. She puts it on a plate. That kinda throws me for a loop, because she mostly does French classical. Her drive, her ambition, and dedication is what makes me, and the viewing audience root for her.

And now, they have one more plate to serve that will win them the title of TC. The pressure of serving a $125k plate must be mind blowing. However, these ladies are cool cucumbers; they work in kitchens on the daily, and run them. Pressure is not a new concept, and they are more than prepared. ***I want them both to win! I am writing as I watch, so I don’t know who has won yet. Mad love and respect to both of them!*** We meet Kristen’s family, and they are over the moon happy for her. Seeing her PYKAG was tough, but, they knew she would redeem herself, as she did, in the LCK. Brooke is confident in her flavors.

Round 3

Brooke–vaduvan fried chicken with sumac yogurt tahini and pickled kohlrab fattoush (excellent. Why chicken wings? Brooke wanted to redeem herself with chicken on the bone. Tom loves it, but didn’t understand her salad)

Kristen-celery root puree with bone marrow, mushrooms, bitter greens and radishes (Emeril loves it. Tom is curious why she stewed the mushrooms. Kristen said she wanted the bone marrow to be the star and her choice was by design.)

Padma, you are even and now it is time to see who wins R3.

Emeril/Kristen Tom/Kristen Padma/Kristen And Kristen wins round 3!

Past Winners in the House to Celebrate from bravotv.com

Past Winners in the House to Celebrate from bravotv.com

TH’s from past winners. Voltaggio was speechless! Izzard said,”try and make a dish that doesn’t suck.” Advice, TC style!

Red Snapper is on the menu. **totes not my favorite, but let’s see what the ladies do with it.** One more vignette of the last 9 season winners. Good times! The previous 9 winners have gone on to open restaurants, win James Beard awards, honored by Food and Wine magazine, etc…TC has opened many doors for them.

Round 4

Brooke-braised pork cheek and red snapper with collard green slaw and sorrel puree (fish is cooked perfectly. pork cheek was a fantastic compliment. Sorrels were a great touch)

Kristen–red snapper with leeks, little gem lettuce, tarragon, uni and shellfish nage (snapper perfectly cooked, the gem was wonderful, and the texture was spot-on. The leeks were a bit stringey in Gails opinion. Hugh disagreed)

They each get one last word with the judges. Kristen feels like she never left, because she has been competing since PYKAG. Brooke always knew it would be between she and Kristen. Another commercial break before we get our winner….

Gail/Kristen Emeril/Kristen Tom?????–you are the deciding vote. His vote will determine our new Top Chef. And Tom votes Kristen!

Kristen, you are the new TOP CHEF!!! Yay!!! Brooke was not asked to PYKAG..maybe foreshadowing? We shall see!

bravotv.com

bravotv.com

And there you have it, Kristen is our second lady chef winner! It has been my pleasure to write these recaps every week. Seeing the Great Pacific Northwest showcased came in a close second. Such talented Chefs, a gorgeous environment, and passion. It’s the passion of these talented men and women that have made us tune in for 10 seasons. We root for them, we get attached to them, and we want them to succeed through this process, win or lose. Congratulations Kristen AND Brooke. Both of you have cooked your asses off this season, and you are both winners. Thanks for reading Lynnfam! I will see you for S11! mwah!

Good morning everyone. It’s Friday eve. Gosh I’m happy about that.

I was happy to see DJPrincess on yesterday. DJP I hope you find your Hello Kitty mouse & mouse pad today. 🙂

I still have my fingers crossed for our DDs Diva & Detox w/getting those jobs.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning, dahling!!! Friday eve, indeed!!! I love it! payday, too. I love February, feels like I JUST got paid and here it is payday again. Monday will be a long month.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Thank you for those crossed fingers, Powell!

    • djprincessc says:

You’re so sweet Powell! Thank you for the kind words! I was so happy to chat with everyone again! And yes I got my Hello Kitty mouse and mousepad! I’m excited! 🙂

  2. TexasTart says:

Good Morning! An action packed blog today, enjoyed Top Chef last night and look forward to reading about Survivor…thanks to all our bloggers!

I see while I was gone that Ice was asking the same question I was…dying to know what Kim R. is on, ha! Interesting replies and experience noted….I tend to think there has been a myriad of prescription pills for a very long time (and never for one second believed alcohol alone!) but when Nancy referenced opiates, I think that is the most likely how she was orbiting (thanks for that description VV!) in Paris. Well, whatever it is, I want to be that happy! 😉 Allegedly…I am not a user, ha ha. By the way, I bow to you, PrincessPindy. 😀

Congrats to Diva for finding something that suits her much better, sounds like you will enjoy this job….it’s kinda like BB said, how you needed to get a job (hotel) to get another job! And good luck to Detox in her job hunt and will keep your uncle in prayer. I have to run, y’all have a good day.

  3. Powell says:

Wow Kristen won. Congrats to her. I wonder how her roommate feels about it?

    • I wonder how Brook feels considering Kristen was eliminated and came back. This is the first time I can remember that happening in any reality show (Survivor, BB, etc) I have mixed feelings, but I’m really happy for Kristen.

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Kristen and Brook were on WWHL last night and Brook didn’t have a problem with Kristen coming back-it’s not like Last Chance was a surprise she said. They seemed to be very nice with each other!!!

        • plainviewsue says:

I was really torn between both women. The only problem with how they did the finale is once you saw how much time was left in the episode you knew that Kristen was the winner. Even tho it was exciting, in hindsight, I think it’s better to do the finale the old way.

          • dch60 says:

Right… because there were actually a potential five rounds… the fifth being dessert. Tom’s vote only potentially named the winner… as it turned out it did. Had he have picked Brooke… they would have gone on to round five. Bet Kristen was relieved it didn’t come down to that. I recorded it so I wasn’t really paying attention to the time but you’re right… I guess it did kinda give it away.

I know I’m nitpicking here but Stephanie was not asked to “pass the tiera”… she was told she would be “sharing” it. Sorry, but someone else had worded it that way prior to the episode and it struck me as so not correct. Passing it sounds like Stephanie has to give up her title of Top Chef and she doesn’t. That’s something none of the winners will ever lose. Yes, I’m being anal here… sorry… great job on the blog!

      • realhousewifeva says:

I think they all knew Kristen did not deserve to leave over Josie for Restaurant Wars.

    • trudie says:

SugarMagnolia, thanks for the recaps. You did a great job!

I would have been happy if either chef won. I think Brooke’s mistake was making the chicken wings – this was the finale, and they were supposed to prepare their best dishes. I know that she wanted to redeem herself from the fried chicken fiasco, but she should have put that behind her and made a more complex dish.

Had quite the dilemma last night – Top Chef or season premier of Duck Dynasty? I really needed the laughs, so I went with DD and I was not disappointed. That family is one big laugh factory. I will pick up TC on reruns. Both chefs were deserving of winning, so I really didn’t favor one over the other.

Happy last day of February to all – will March come in like a lion? Doesn’t matter to me; spring is three weeks away (at least on the calendar!). Bye bye winter!

    • LaineyLainey says:

I don’t know how she felt, but I know she didn’t feel attracted to Kristen. ‘Cause they’re not gay. She made a point of saying that.

    • Happy to see Kristen win! Tho both ladies are wonderful chefs. Brooke will go far with the exposure of the show. Kristen just seemed such an elevated chef in every way. She deserved it.

I can’t help considering that the show angled her in LCK to draw out the drama betting that she would end up in the finale. it was a good season tho. Thanks SugarMagnolia for a great recap!!

  4. Powell says:

Haha. The big deal about Lisa V doing DWTS is that clearly the producers see who is more popular. Maybe Heather & Gretchen said it or not but based on those 2 lady’s personalities I believe they are jealous they haven’t been picked.

    • iceNfire says:

Heather has made guest appearances on a couple shows lately so it only makes sense that she would be jelly, her agent must be working hard for her And she made clear to us that she is an actress And she does get mad easily…She Ate The Bow!

      • Powell says:

        LOL. How’s your son doing?

        • iceNfire says:

Hi Powell – He Thinks he is all better, returning to work Saturday when he will learn that he is Not all better….It’s Very hard for me to keep my mouth shut so I think I just wont talk to him anymore. hahahaha

          • Powell says:

Nah. Just let him go to work, come home & tell you how much pain he’s in. Then you can say “I told ya so”. Lol

      • Catseye says:

Speaking of Heather, am I the only one who finds it strange that she and her husband recently sold their home for 16 MILLION DOLLARS and Leeanne Rimes bought one that only cost 3 million?? (I wonder if the Dubrow’s actually owned that house–or did they have some silent partners?)

        • Powell says:

I believe they owned it. The house is very custom & has incredible views so I can see thatit would be worth $16 mill or more.

          • iceNfire says:

Hi Catseye – thanks for suggesting a fold up for my son to bring to work, Good Idea! Did you see pictures of Leanns house? It really doesn’t compare to Heathers.

            • Powell says:

Oh no. LeAnn’s is A starter house compared to Heather’s. Now that’s a mansion. My mom loves the parking garage with the elevator. Such a great idea.

            • princesspindy says:

We don’t know how much they owed on it either…. So who knows if they had any equity…. I know it seems strange that they could have gotten a loan for that much but who knows……

              • rabblerouser2010R says:

I read an article that said the land was bought for 3.3 mil and a bit over 7 was spent to build it, so it seems like they must have made a nice profit off it.

                • princesspindy says:

wow, 7 years is a long time….I wonder how much the building costs were…but that does sound like a excellent profit!

            • Catseye says:

(Glad to help out ice, I ordered a Jose Silva book from Amazon. I’m excited to get it.)
What I mean about the Dubrow’s is, HOW MUCH money can a plastic surgeon and a relatively unknown actress ACTUALLY MAKE (vs. a somewhat famous Country Western Singer) that they could afford such a huge mansion? I know they bought a vacant lot and had it custom built it and all, but it just seems somewhat suspicious to me.

        • djprincessc says:

Catseye I’m a realtor here in CA and I could check and see if they truly owned it if I had their address!! I’ll try and look them up by name and see if that works too. lol.

To the blog powers that be, or NMD may I ask what in the world happened to the side-bar Recent Comments? You do not owe me an answer, as I am a slave to the blog 😛

I very much miss it!! After I have read the blog, and come back later with a little time to spare, it’s handy to get to comments quickly or join an active conversation. It spoiled me on a cell phone in particular, it takes 10x more navigation without that side-bar. I kind of feel guilty mentioning this…you know how much I appreciate the blog. Thank you.

  6. Powell says:

    Padma’s brassier is showing.

  7. Exit4 says:

Did any of you ladies (and Mel ;)) see the wildly entertaining yet completely sad Teitter war happening?

A few if the “sources” and NJ “experts” have gone full on nuclear with each other of Season 5’s “storyline”. The usual insanity of exposed identities and information. At the center is Johnny The Greek, who apparently is going to anyone and everyone to get attention for himself and his wife.

I am no MeHo fan, but it’s just ridiculous at this point. I actually wondered if Lynn were alive, if she would have spoken to the Greeks and set them straight. They really put themselves in a shit storm. On one hand, I wonder what Melissa could have done to bring this on. There are ALOT of housewives but she is the ONLY one that I can think of whose past has come out like this. Sure, things that have occurred in the past come out, especially negative, but no one had exes and ex friends and so on hammering them like Mel does. I have a few ideas why, but who knows?

I think Melissa may be right (ack!) that people who beg and plead and run their mouths (ala Greeks) don’t get on the show. The name Melissa Gorga didn’t pass people’s lips until she was basically signed, sealed and delivered.

Obvs, the conspiracy theorists think Andy is involved. That he is setting up twitter wars to promote the show. The number of people who follow this is so small compared to the viewers overall. If anything these people make the fans look like lunatics. Even though we are wise enough to know the show itself is manipulated, this outside stuff is just that. Stuff if crazy minds and people who seriously need a hobby. If anything, it probably annoys him since they are always tweeting him with their garbage. I almost wish he’d say something . If it turns ugly or uglier and someone gets hurt or there’s lawsuits, it makes the franchise look seedy and normal people don’t like crazy IRL.

I’ve almost had it with these shows in general, and the crazy around it makes me wonder what kind of company I am in! This place excluded, because thankfully the people here, writers and commenters are normal. Hopefully the crazy element will stay away from here. Hence why I didn’t include names. Those that follow twitter and some other blogs (which is many of you) will know them.

Is anyone else disturbed by the insanity surrounding jersey? And does anyone else think Andy Cohen should open his mouth and school people on the way it really works? It’s not going to ruin anything and maybe it will put people on their place. It does feel like its hitting a line between fandom and insanity.

    • Powell says:

Exit they can start a new Trojan War on Twitter as far as I’m concerned. They do more fighting on Twitter than any other franchise. They’re all a bunch of idiots.

      • Exit4 says:

It’s insane isn’t it? If it was the actual cast it would be one thing….but these are wannabes. Whether its wannabe cast or wannabe writers or sources or gossip columnists or whatever the heck they’re trying to do….it’s. nuts!

The cast (wellinus Mel’s sisters to some degree) completely ignore this. I don’t know why they do it. The people they are defending could not care less, Andy Cohen has called one of them out as a nut. I don’t get it Powell! I just don’t!:)

      • iceNfire says:

Hi Exit – I unfollowed all of RHONJ can’t stand any of them but maybe if I spend a little time watching their twitter war I be completely over this show. Glad your having fun with with it, I love twitter wars, RHONJ not so much 🙂

    • melthehound says:

Thank you for the mention, Exit4 🙂 I don’t do twitter at all so I count on these blogs to keep me up to date on all the goings on with these wars. Even watching them third party here, I liken them to a bunch of 7th grade girls having it out in the hallway between classes about who said what to whom (I guess these days, the 7th grade boys may be doing the same thing via this social media). What should be between two people, quickly becomes a mob scene until the bell rings. I don’t really know what Dandy Andy knows, says, or does but I Believe that he gets off on all these people fighting and isn’t likely to do anything (like tell the truth) to stop it any time soon. It is free advertisement. I’ve had my own feuds with people here, typically about NJ, and had to ask my self (I’ve mentioned this before), why do I care so much about these people? Answer: I don’t. In fact, I’m sick of all of them especially, little Joe and his wife. We are what, three months from the premier of the season? Already I’m saying shit or get off the pot with these storylines. Put up or shut up. Do they get along or don’t they? Is someone gunning for a spot on the show or not and what will they do to get it? They are all successful at one thing. Making themselves look like complete assholes. I’ve still had my opinions about this NJ crew and for those of you who know what they are, nothing has changed. Of course, I’ll watch just because, I know from past history, it’s going to be a train wreck but I’m already looking forward to it being over with.

    • realhousewifeva says:

I haven’t paid much attention b/c I’m so over the NJ drama. They need something new. I just looked now a bit and they are all writing novels about who is lying, who isn’t…it’s very confusing to follow.

But I disagree on one point. Melissa made it her mission to get on the show and did her own version of ‘begging, pleading and running her mouth”. There’s no reason Bravo even looked at her until she and her sisters made it their mission to publicize her fighting with Teresa.
So she really should be careful of Karma because it’s a bitch.

      • realhousewifeva says:

Oh and I also want to say “WHY ARE THESE CRAZY TWITTER PEOPLE SO INVESTED?” What do they have to gain? I honestly don’t care about ANY of their past lives. If they were strippers, hookers, cheaters…who gives a crap? Especially why do people that don’t even know them care? I am no Melissa fan, but I still don’t understand why people want to break up her marriage and destroy her life. That’s so nuts to me.

Also, Nene was a stripper and is loud and proud about it, and it hasn’t hurt her.

        • iceNfire says:

Crazy twitter people? I Resemble that remark! Just not with RHONJ 🙂

        • Exit4 says:

For VA and Mel-that’s what I don’t get either, why such a major investment from regular folks in the lives of these people? It’s weird. With the Melissa thing, whatever happened behind the scenes, we can only guess, but until that season 2 reunion, when the nephew came up, no one heard of Melissa. Publicly anyway. On Bravos end sure, but outside of that no. People didn’t even put stuff together until after season 2 and into season 3. She was anonymous. These Greeks, they’ve been slinking around for 2 years, teasing stuff. The Gorgas didn’t do that. If they had, I’m not sure she’s have ended up on the show. They did it sneaky. The Greeks are practically begging. Believe me, I’m NOT a Mel fan, but they did have a better public approach.

I’m with you on destroying the marriage. What’s the payoff there? 3 little kids hurt? That’s what it comes down too. I don’t think Andy loves the outsider aspect at this level of crazy. It does make everything surrounding the show look bad.

I do have to say though, if bravo can do an entire show about people who caption kitty cat pictures for the Internet, a show about show bloggers would probably be fascinating. Until one if them killed the other-which given the level of crazy could happen. Ugh! I don’t get it…

          • Powell says:

All of this is the main reason why the whole cast needs to be fired & they need a new cast w/people that have no relationships whatsoever to any of these people. Go to another part of Jersey Bravo.

            • Exit4 says:

Right? I liked the family aspect of jersey initially-until everyone went to war. That killed it. There are so many good Italian families in NJ that fight, but not like this. But they can’t acknowledge on the show that the show is to blame for a lot of it.

Bravo did come to my area for a family show and we got the god awful “meet the marinos”. Of all the normal people in SJ that’s who they pick!

          • realhousewifeva says:

OMG a show about the bloggers would be insane, but you are right, some of them are downright scary.

Penny and Johnny the Greek have been so wrapped up with this drama and are even’t actual castmembers. Why the desperation to be on the show so much?

One of the twitlongers I read (she ain’t kidding about the LONGER part) from someone named Stark something…said she spoke to someone from the Giudice camp and they are saying the rumors about Melissa cheating with Brian (bulldog?) are not true.

            • Exit4 says:

Except for the green texts which appear real, I kinda think her other sources are the voices in her head. 😉

          • It’s been ages since I’ve had a chance to read all Housewives related blogs, much less comment. I used to often & still do on a couple blogs I read when I have a chance.

Exit! I’m with you! I’m on Twitter and reading the nuttiness surrounding the Greek Tragedy and all these loons would make a fascinating tv show! Yesterday’s events was major entertainment! #AsTheTwitterWorldTurns as I call it 😀

          • dch60 says:

“Believe me, I’m NOT a Mel fan, but they did have a better public approach.” Her “better public approach” may have served her well but it shows just how devious and calculating she is. It’s actually a heck of a lot worse for the few that do know and it sure as sh!t didn’t protect her from karma… quite the contrary… will make it knock all the harder.

    • Pghemtchick says:

I think it’s interesting texts have been released (see over at tv fishbowl) w/the Greek admitting he gave out storyline. Hope he doesnt have a contract w/ Bravo due to the nondisclosure. Oh heck, who am I kidding. I would love Bravo to nail him.

    • pat says:

I stopped watching NJ a couple of seasons ago. It’s too dark. And the fact that these are family members tearing each other apart, I just can’t.

    • Agree, Exit – RHONJ has always had an insanity sort of edge to it, that is a strong turn off for me. These outsiders scrabbling for public attention by attacking cast members are trash – I tracked it for a few days last season when the whole accusing Melissa of being a stripper stuff came out, but I couldn’t stand it. They are too seedy for me.

    • plainviewsue says:

I am aware of the twitter war, & it’s really so sad, cos I follow both tweeters & they were at one time very close. I’m not picking a side, but it does seem like one of them, who has even been repremanded by Andy, is going too far.

I think that the reason there is so much insanity and hatred towards Melissa is because of the fact that she has gotten the pure as the driven snow edit & Teresa is always made out to be the evil queen. Nobody is perfect, but it is not fair that one of the HW’s gets drilled on everything & the others get passes.

      • Exit4 says:

I agree with you on that aspect-and even though it super frustrating its not something anyone can control. They edit things however they want and to take it so personally and so seriously that people like that seems such a waste if energy.

I know people desire to expose other cast mates but bravo really s doesn’t seem to want to listen and to me, it’s crossed the line to where someone could get in trouble. It probably won’t happen, but I can say for myself that I would never put myself in a position to damage myself and by extension my family, for any housewife. Mostly because its not like they’re going to thank you-they could honestly give a crap really, as long as they get their check!

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

I know I’m sick of RHONJ right about now. I was sick of the way last season played out, and I’m sick of all of these conflicting stories coming out:

First we hear that Teresa is behind all of the negative stories coming out about Melissa, including the story of her affair during her marriage with Bryan Bowen (Never mind that Bryan was outed without his consent and changed his number 3 times over the course of the seasons to avoid getting involved in this mess. Never mind that Bryan says he has never even MET Teresa).

Then, we hear that Teresa is behind outing the fact that Albert had an affair on Caroline (SHOCKER!!).

      Then, we hear that Teresa and Joey have made up, followed by pix of the Gorga’s and the Giudices cheesing for the cameras with their arms locked around each other (Joe Giudice looked like he would rather have been sticking NEEDLES in his eyes. Teresa was grinning widely. Melissa had a super-forced smile, that looked like she was thinking, “I HATE having to do this right now!!” And Joey…I don’t think he could work up a real smile either, like Joe Giudice);

      Almost the next damned day, Joey Gorga gives and interview to “Rumor Fix” saying that they have NOT made up and it was all for the cameras and that he’ll be waiting for when Teresa is ready to come crawling to him to apologize and beg for forgiveness (*Eye Roll*);

Next, we hear that Teresa had to call Caroline Manzo (What the EFF??!! CAROLINE??!!) in to mediate between her and her family during a family trip because the arguing got so bad. I think the Joe’s supposedly got into a fistfight during this family trip.

Then, we hear that Melissa, Teresa and Caroline (Again, what in the EFF is Caroline doing in that damned therapy session) are all in THERAPY together (Where was Jac? Oh yeah, I know, in the words of Brandi, probably “Drinking and Tweeting”).

Now, we hear that Jac and Teresa are now BESTIES again and even went on a double date with their husbands (probably so that Teresa and Jac could discuss taking turns driving to see BOTH of their men in the SLAMMER in the future).

I just can’t keep up with all of this b*llsh*t. The next thing you know, Teresa and Joe and Melissa and Joey will do a joint wedding vow renewal ceremony and Teresa and Melissa will also give each OTHER rings and vow to forever be B.F.F.’s and the best Sisters-In-Law in the world to one another. Caroline will officiate (since she knows every damned thing). Jac will live-tweet the entire ceremony and reception. The Manzo’s will serve Blackwater. Cathy will serve those damned cannolis. Rosie will roll up in the joint with 2 Playmates, one on each arm because she’s a “pimp” like that….Gia will perform a dance routine. Gabriella is nowhere to be found. Audriana will be…oh hell, she’ll be somewhere dressed in a million ruffles and bows, probably all leopard print.

      I could go on. But I won’t.

The only one I see standing up and screaming, “This is ALL BULLSH*T!!” is MILANIA (who I am starting to believe has more sense than all those fools combined).

I have to take a break to watch “American Idol.”

      Be back later. 😉

      • plainviewsue says:

I think the girls have it over the guys when it comes to “Idol” this year too.

Thanks for the compliments about the post. All of this stuff I’m hearing about RHONJ gives me heartburn and makes my a*s ITCH (TMI, I know). That’s just how much it all irritates me, though!

I might just have to go back to that old African saying when it comes to EVERY…SINGLE…ONE…OF….THEM……

          F*CK ‘EM!!!

So far, not happy with Survivor at all. These are super fans????? First, the four cool & good liking contestants pair up. Makes them instant targets.

Second, Shamar (please explain how he even passed the psychological testing to get on the show) is ready to quit. I agree with Reynolds. There are thousands of super fans that are dyingn to play and u get someone who is ready to quit?

I love Cochran. He is a true fan. Talking about watching the show every Wednesday at 8:00 and now he’s part of it. That’s what the new fans should be saying.

Don’t get why they don’t vote out Shamar. They’d still have the numbers. Also the bearded guy & his ally are fighting with him as well.

I hope the fans lose every challenge.

    • iceNfire says:

I think they ( mostly the girls) feel bad about voting out a Veteran and he seems to be working this angle as he’s mentioned it several times. I Love Cochran too!

    • melthehound says:

I don’t think Shamar has or had any intention of quitting. I think he put that idea out there to see if anyone cared if he left. I don’t think he got the exact answer he wanted but it was good enough. He nearly bit his lip off when his name was first read at council.

      • Exit4 says:

I know this is random, but I went to the same HS as gervase from season 1. He graduated before my freshman year, but his siter was a year ahead of me. I played field hockey with her for 3 years. I knew him through her, and we were all friendly outside of school. So he would be around a lot, they were close. He was a real nice guy. I was so shocked to see him on survivor! I think He still lives around here, but haven’t seen him in years. Another girl who did the show Stephanie La grossa is my SILs cousin, never met her, she’s married to Kyle Kendrick who played for the phillies. She owned a restaurant in Philly, not sure if she still does.

  9. iceNfire says:

For the 1st time in EVER we have 2 Popes! Reminds me of Buffy having two slayers

    • iceNfire says:

ooops 1st time in 600 years.

    • Exit4 says:

Did they pick a new one already? I didn’t think they started that process yet.

      • iceNfire says:

I don’t know if they picked a new one, the whole thing with the white smoke, black smoke. This is all very weird to me. But for The 1st time EVER the Pope is vacating via helicopter! …i just had the get the 1st time EVER in.

      • Powell says:

Not yet. They haven’t started just yet.

    • Powell says:

I know. I’m not Catholic but would love have been in Italy to see Pope Benedict on his 1st & last day as Pope. Now the Conclave begins. I find it all so fascinating.

      • AZGirl says:

One of the reasons for Benedict to step down was that the report on the Vatican is going to be released and it is not going to be good. The Vatican has been completely disfunctional and fighting among different offices has resulted in nothing getting done. Along with that disfunctional offices there (of course) has been sexual abuse allegations among the priest and cardinals working at the Vatican. In addition to all of the forementioned the Pope’s butler leaked information regarding money laundering and fraud.
I was born catholic and raised among many family members active in the church. I left 7 years ago when the priest at my parish was found molesting young boys and our Bishop new about him and did nothing. Many of the priest here were abusing young boys and nothing was about it.
Do I miss the Mass? Yes. But it is time for the Catholic church to clean house.

        • Powell says:

It’s most Definitely time to clean house & to make changes w/the current century.

        • iceNfire says:

I left the church many years ago and for different reasons. IMO it’s about money, it’s always about money. In studying the history, I found the reason Priests are not allowed to marry is cuz the church didn’t want Priests handing down items to their sons. They wanted everything to belong to the church.

          • Powell says:

That’s what I learned also. IMO I think that’s one thing that needs to change. Priests should be allowed to marry. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I think.

          • pat says:

Interesting. I was raised in Catholic faith, but left as a young adult, for several reasons. Priests not being allowed to marry has definitely contributed to a culture of sexual abuses and secrecy.

          • Kansas Girl says:

But would they be allowed to marry a man? (Just sayin)

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Oops, sorry, Ice. I made the same comment below (I made it before I read yours).

            Great minds think alike! 😉

        • Exit4 says:

I grew up in the church, went through catholic school, even stated at catholic college (but transferred). Still go to mass occasionally. Kids are baptized etc, but the church is disappointing in many ways and needs to change. I don’t hold it against God though- men are imperfect.

I saw the pope (JP 2) in 1979 as a kid in Philadelphia. He waved to me as he drove down the street. Well me and the thousand others that were there! I still have my little pope flag and back then, he rode in the pope mobile, but it was open. This was before he got shot and they closed it up. They drove very slow so the people could see him. It was pretty cool-I was only 6 at the time, but I remember it well.

        • Catseye says:

Wasn’t there a Nostradamus prediction about some HUGE scandal broiling in the Catholic Church?

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

No, but there are the predictions about 112 (I think that’s the number) of Popes from St. Malachy, who I believe was also the first Irish Saint.

He predicted that the next Pope would be known as the “Black Pope,” and he would be the VERY LAST Pope before the Vatican was destroyed (I think). I think I also read somewhere that the “Black Pope” would be a sign of the End Times and a sign that both the False Prophet and the Antichrist are now walking the Earth.

Who knows if it’s true? His descriptions of some of the Popes have been eerily accurate. For instance, with Pope John Paul II (who I still think of as my Pope in a way for some strange reason), I think he predicted that this would be the pope where eclipses would mark him in some way. There was an eclipse on the day Pope John Paul the II was born and there was an eclipse on the day he was entombed.

It’s quite interesting reading if you’re into that kind of stuff.

          • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Wait, let me correct myself Catseye. Nostradamus has some predictions about the Catholic Church and the Popes that seem to align themselves with the predictions of St. Malachy.

            Sorry for the earlier error.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

It is also time for the Catholic Church to let priests GET MARRIED!! The Vatican only made up that rule (and claimed it came from God) so they would not lose any of their wealth due to the inheritance of the children possibly born during the marriage of a priest.

    • Rebecca says:

We’ve had two popes before – the great schism.

I’m sad for Pope Benedict. He was handed a mess he’s not strong enough to handle. I’m one that does not blame th organization. I blame the individual wrong doers. People need to be accountable for their own crimes ( and sins). The church is its people, not just the priests. There are two billion Catholics and they aren’t all bad. If you don’t like your priest, you can join another parish. I did. And the new Phoenix bishop came from the Wichita diosese. He is a great man who they really loved there.

      • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

        I agree too.

I’ve slipped away from the church and kinda do my own thing with my novenas and my rosary beads and patron saints and attending Church on holidays. I’ve had a LOT of disappointment and disagreement over and with things that have gone on in the Catholic Church, but , for some VERY strange reason, I just cannot see myself being anything OTHER THAN Catholic. I have respect for ALL religions, and I do admittedly have some mistrust of ALL organized religions (not just the Catholic Church), but because of my family and the way I grew up, I think being Catholic is just “ingrained” in my being somehow (even though I believe in birth control; believe that Priest should be allowed to get married; don’t think that people should never, ever get divorced, etc.).

I guess I am a lapsed and rebel Catholic…but a Catholic, just the same.

    • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Wait!! We have 2 Popes now???!!

In between handling all of my business and only taking time out to get back to my power walk (which became VERY inconsistent due to all the running back and forth from my old house to my parents’) and read and play on blogs about “Housewives,” in between watching reality shows and that Jodi Arias chick….

I completely missed this. After I finish reading these comments, I am going to force myself to read some REAL news.

  10. Powell says:

The Popes helicopter just touched down. The Pope’s residence doors will be locked at 8pm and he will officially be the former Pope.

  11. LA_Debra says:

Thank you NMD for all the scoops, and Sugar Magnolia for the season of Top Chef (I would have been happy with either finalist to win, and you are right, wonder why they didn’t say PYKAG to Brooke?), and Jeff! for the Survivor low down (I really tried to watch last night and made it to the Shamar melt down, but reading your POV is better than watching!).

I finally watched the RHOBH Paris show yesterday, and it made me want to visit Paris soooo much. I didn’t get the same impression of Warren’s wife. I think her comments were more that dry English humor and not meant to be shade. She made most of them right in front of Lisa. The only one I caught that was sort of under her breath was the “it’s been exhausting” at the end. And I think it would be exhausting with the cameras and the crew and the way they would have to make allowances for shooting, etc etc. Anyway, I just got the impression she was being British, and sarcastic. (sort of synonymous).

I don’t get Kim. One minute she is carrying on an adult conversation, then the next she is a 12 y/o making no sense (no offense to 12 y/o). There’s something just not right. allegedly.

I really think I’m skipping OC and NJ forever and EVER. Amen. I don’t enjoy the mean girls or the fighting on either of those scripted-out-the-wassu franchises.

Alrighty then, hope everyone is safe and warm, and all your hopes and dreams are coming true 🙂

    • Powell says:

LA Debra I gave up NJ last season. OC I want to see why Alexis is back & who’s her friend cause her supposed BFF Gretchen turned on her, Tamra hates her guts, Heather thinks she’s stupid & Vicki is so so w/her. So I’ll see.

    • melthehound says:

Glad you enjoy the recaps LA_Debra 😀

    • TexasTart says:

No offense to 12 year olds — LOL!!!!

    • dch60 says:

Padma has never said PYKAG when it comes down to the two finalists. That’s why Richard said he was one of the allstars that never heard those words.

  12. Orson says:

They’re showing first season episodes of RHOOC now. Sheesh, Vicki is so annoying. Asking her adult (well, legal adult, at least ) children “Are you going to miss me?” as she’s out the door for a trip to New Orleans strikes me as incredibly needy. And her son Mike is just a spoiled rich kid. It’s nice seeing Slade clean shaven. And Jo seems to have the brains of a hinge pin. And Jeana and husband is trying to get older son into a junior college where he can play baseball. They’re not interested in academics at all. Just baseball. Oh, and does Lauri have ONE top that doesn’t reveal a couple inches of cleavage?

    • Powell says:

ITA w/Jeanna’s sons & school. I think it was Jeanna’s last season that Shane got hurt & couldn’t play for a while & I could be wrong but I don’t think he was major league good.
Vicki, Vicki, Vicki. I’ve always said I don’t know what happened when she was growing up but the few times her mom was on she always needed validation from her mom that she loved her & she’s the same way w/her kids.
I liked Slade & Jo. Slade had a career back then. I don’t know what changed for him where he no longer wanted to work to take care of himself. And the excuse that the mortgage industry changed wasn’t a valid excuse.
I like Laurie but her top boobage is kinda like Kim’s side boobage. 🙂

      • realhousewifeva says:

His son got sick and he didn’t want to be responsible for the bills. Allegedly.

      • Orson says:

He was a Junior Vice President of something or other. When the RE bubble burst JVPs were probably expendible. Or maybe he got the Reality TV star bug and quit. Remember that “Date My Ex” show he had with Jo? Or it was a combination of the two.

        • Catseye says:

I think it was the notion that he had become “famous” and was now a “celebrity,” so he no longer needed to work in his previous field.
Of anyone that they would bring back, I wish it was Jo. (It’d sure p!ss Gretchen off!)

  13. california35 says:

Good morning i am here lol about the blog title “is Vicky’ love tank empty again” LOL

i hope eveyone has their love tank full today 😛

  14. AZGirl says:

Dear God I am so not ready for another season of Vicki’s love tank and Tamara and Eddie’s fake relationship. When I started thinking that Gretchen and Slade were looking normal I stopped watching 🙂

    • iceNfire says:

Any word on Adri showing or not showing? From what i’ve seen of her Tweets she doesn’t even mention HW’s anymore

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Wondering if Adrienne will pull a no show like Wacky Jacky did…at this point there is too much evidence of Adrienne’s manipulations to be ignored, plus how could Dr Paul be included now that he is her ex husband? I have no problem if she doesn’t show but for drama sake – she is necessary.

      • AZGirl says:

What if Paul showed up and Adrienne didn’t? That would be interesting. He could tell us all about how Bernie played a role in trying to bring down Brandi.

    • dch60 says:

Heard Camille will not go. Said she didn’t feel like she was around enough… that she didn’t feel as though she was part of the season.

  17. Iowagirl says:

The OC will be my first official boycott. I will not watch Tammy’s mean behavior again for even one second.

    • iceNfire says:

I will catch it on rerun if I see it mentioned here that icky gets mad.Her screaming face makes me laugh

    • princesspindy says:

Oh Iowagirl, it gets easier… I started with not watching RHOM, then I stopped with NJ, I didn’t watch OC last time….I will admit to watching some scenes in reruns….but then I realize what I am watching and change the channel… Your immunity gets stronger the longer you don’t watch, lol.

    • Orson says:

I’ll probably watch it to enjoy Vicki going BLC* every time she doesn’t get her own way or someone dares to disagree with her.

      * Bat Luann Crazy

      • iceNfire says:

That fight with Brianna in B’s kitchen last season!!! I must have watched it 25 times and 50 times in slomo…then I accidently deleted it 😦

        • Powell says:

IT was sad to watch. Unfortunately B made good points and Vicki has broken up w/him multple times so some of it must be registering w/Vicki.

The Pope has left the building.

  19. sugar magnolia says:

Thanks all! I was thankful, once again, that I just blog and not judge. Both ladies are winners IMHO! Kristen should not have left before Josie, but she came back and won it! Yay!

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

Your blog was a great read! I could feel the excitement while I was reading 🙂

    • WindyCityWondering says:

You did the show justice – your style is wonderful too! Thank you and I wish there could have been two Top Chefs this season.

  20. Powell says:

I forgot I have Adrienne on my FB. She took her dogs Cookie & Cupcake to be spayed. What happened to Jackpot? I suppose Paul has the German Shepherd since she really didn’t like him.

    • california35 says:

Poor Jackpot 😦 he was so cute, hopefully he is in a home where he is loved and taken care of 🙂

      • Catseye says:

I agree. Hopefully the new dogs are housetrained, too. I know from experience small dogs have accidents, but poor Jackpot didn’t even seem like they had tried.

    • dch60 says:

She got rid of the German Shepherd not long after she first got him.

  21. lizzle says:

    Hello folks!
I stopped drinking wine at night, so even though I am getting a more restful sleep… I am having trouble going to sleep. So last night I decided to go over to twitter to see what my timeline was doing. And there it was… the great blog war of 2013! and it’s only February. Well… I had a blast reading all about the secret texts and DMs that were never supposed to see the light of day. I am not friends with them, so it’s just another source of entertainment for me. That’s why I have a twitter account. Entertainment. I try not to get involved in anything. And I am definitely not going to judge people that provide me with hours of mindless entertainment. That is like biting the hand that feeds me. Well, enough about how I get my kicks. So… anyone with twitter can go over there and figure out the war with the names that have been mentioned above. I am not going to try and dissect the information as to who is right and who is wrong. So, why am I bringing this up? I actually had a revelation last night about RHONJ. And a good one. Out of all the info that is being spewed out on twitter, I gathered that the Guidices actually support Melissa regarding the Bulldog guy. I also saw an insiders tweet where Teresa/ Joe and Jax/ Chris were on a double date. I think the sunshine might be coming out on RHONJ. Maybe these people have finally put the past behind them and are really moving on. Maybe Melissa and Jax are now seeing who is setting up Melissa… and it ain’t Teresa. So while Melissa and Teresa are creating a new relationship… the players on the sidelines are destroying each other. I am kind of excited about RHONJ now.

  22. Good Morning Lovelies! Home finally after another morning of running around since dawn. Tired and ready for a nap! But not before I read the blog and catch up. Great show recaps to dig into today! And Vickie’s love tank? Hmmm. LOL!

Hope your Thursday is going well!

New post, “Coming To Our Senses”, + all the goodies is up at my place. Enjoy!

    • california35 says:

Why so much running around? Maybe I would know if I came here more often.

      • Oh, just car repairs, household errands and taking care of all those little life distractions that insist on having our attention sometimes! LOL! Nothing bad….just time consuming and exhausting. I prefer to be busy with my work…that GIVES me energy! 😀 Getting ready for an afternoon of it.

        Hope you are well Cali!

  23. iceNfire says:

She forgot to add “Pictures Soon!”

  24. BB says:

Hi, everyone. Been out doing errands all day. Remind me to do all my shopping (BJ’s, grocercy, etc.) the last day of every month . No crowds or lines. Why I didn’t think of that before today I don’t know. Duh. Anyway, I’m normally not a laugh out loud kind of gal when I’m watching TV, but last night’s episodes of Duck Dynasty had me in stitches. It was hilarious!

  25. viki55 says:

I really liked both Top Chef contestents and was glad to see two women going to the final. It was a good season, more cooking, less drama. There is a part of me that thinks there is something not truely fair about the last chance kitchen winner getting to come back so late in the game. I know the last chance kitchen was a lot of pressure but it was all individual effort, they no longer had to deal with team challeneges with all the personalities involved. There was also a lot more cooking going on in the main group of contestents, guick fire and main events. It just seems like it was really two different types of contests going on and someone who doesn’t work well with others could go a lot farther going the last chance kitchen route. They both deserved the win but I don’t think they had to go through the same type of competition to get to the end. I really liked the show back in the beginning when it was really about being Top Chef, running a kitchen and managing people and not just cooking great food.

    • RealHousewifeVA says:

I feel differently about LCK..I LOVE that they brought it in because there is ALWAYS, without fail, every season, a chef who gets unfairly sent home too early. In LCK they can’t rely on being “good enough”…they have to do their #1 effort or go home for good. When it’s more people, you can have a bad day and still pull through (hence, a better chef getting sent home).

      • dch60 says:

Very true. On LCK, it’s always a 50% change you won’t make it… during the season it’s not 50/50 until the finale. Then they still have to beat the chef that made it through… they have no advantage. How many chefs did Kristen have to beat, 50/50, to get to the end? Six or seven? That’s no easy feat.

  26. iceNfire says:

Oh Cynthia, why don’t you just ask us to send you money?

  27. california35 says:

    Hi Ice and Powel,

Not much, just working, and eating, and sleeping, and of course, tv watching 😛

I can write today 🙂 i will be taking full hour of lunch, so here i am 🙂

  28. Nancy says:

Jodi Arias is having a very bad day on the stand. Oh well…

Hi California. Good to see you again.

    • AZGirl says:

I guess when you lie to the jury eventually it will bite you in the butt. This is such a waste of taxpayer money and the judge should just give her life without parole.

      • Nancy says:

        I agree. I think she’s a sociopath.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

I hope they fry the bitch. Since she decided that she would take her chances with a jury and waste time and money and further defile an innocent mans reputation with allegations of abuse and pedophilia , she has it coming.

( I don’t want to start a discussion about capital punishment- at least in this forum because it is a polarizing issue; but given that the death potentiality IS on the table I would like to see her punished to the fullest extent of the law) 😀

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

She is such a fn psycho. I think she really thought she could pull a Casey Anthony and get away with it.

    • california35 says:

I thought of you and all our pet lovers yesterday when talking to a friend. We both know this guy who has a dog, but he does not show emotions or feelings tours the dog when he talks about him. I had figured that not everyone is as expressive or as warm to their pets…but yesterday while talking to someone who knows the guy more than i do, i got the impression that he really doesn’t care much for the dog. I was telling him to get together and rescue the dog from that guy 😛
The guy makes good money, has a big house with big yard And the dog is fine. It all just sounded kind of cold.

      • Nancy says:

        That makes me sad.

        • california35 says:

Right? He is a serious guy, so that is just the way he is.
Once he saw picture of my little dog, he smiled and said nothing, so i asked what kind of dog he has or if he is small like mine. He said with a big smirk that his dog could eat mine for lunch. I was like um umm. I said nothing because he surprised me. He even laughed after he said it. I just thought that dogs would not be part of our conversations any more. I told the other guy yesterday, and he was as bothered as me about that comment, and i felt relieved. I was not being sensitive.
Any ways. My neighborhood has mostly big dogs. I feel like a coward when i avoid them with my little dog, but i have seen the behavior from far to know it is best to walk away.

          • iceNfire says:

Maybe his dog makes him the best he can be and with his dog he would be worse??

          • Nancy says:

            Calif,
That makes me feel better. I think they both are ok.

          • Catseye says:

Oooohhh, I have 3 small dogs too. About a year ago this nasty, badly trained yellow lab got out and attacked 2 of my larger ( by larger they are about 9lbs & 12lbs) luckily the daughter of the owner came and pulled him off. There was no real injuries, other than a few puncture wounds that I nursed myself. But that day, I ordered a rechargeble flashlight/STUN GUN ($10 Amazon) which I carry at ALL times while walking. So funny, (to me) to see how cocky the teenage son acts when his dog charges the fence when we walk in the alley or barks hysterically when he’s out front and sees me with my little dogs now (who bark back now at him and ALL dogs) I always think to myself “C’mon DOWN!!”

            • Powell says:

Those neighbors are a menace & taught their dog to be a menace. They shouldn’t have dogs.

            • california35 says:

That is the attitude i get also. Not all the dog owners, but most of them. That is why i just walk to a different direction. I didnt do that all the time, just after noticing the behavior. I dont want any trouble with the owners or the dogs. I har also seen when dogs are being “reprimanded” if they act aggressive at us, and i also don’t want that. My previous neighborhood was nicer in that case. Weather small or big dogs, they were mellow dogs an owners 🙂

    • Powell says:

I’m loving it today. Finally we get to her killing him. It took 3 days of dragging the truth out of her but finally we get to the day. Patty the body language expert said Travis Didn’t body slam her. Her own body language didn’t show that she was hurt by him like that. She’s such a liar. And such a big mouth. She says Travis did a linebacker stance/move. The prosecutor asks her to describe it. She says I’ll have to show you which I don’t want to. What does the prosecutor say? Show us. Show us. She sits there like a stone. She doesn’t want the jury to see her leg bracelet. That’s what happens when she talks too much.

      • trudie says:

I am so hooked on this trial. Did she ever explain why she put the camera in the washing machine? I mean, I know why she put the camera in the washing machine, but what is her explanation for doing it?

        • Powell says:

No she didn’t. But she’s such a liar. Her “truth” wouldn’t make sense any way.

          • trudie says:

Wow – that ended pretty abruptly. I think the prosecutor did a great job today unraveling her lies. I loved when he said that she was in a fog but still managed to have the presence of mind to collect all the weapons and dispose of them.

      • Nancy says:

The brace won’t let her stand up so that’s why she just sat there looking dumb.
Do you know if her parents are there?

        • Powell says:

Her mom & her mom’s identical twin sis have been there the most. Her dad, bro & sis have been there. I didn’t pay attention who was there today. I.don’t know if they showed her family. They showed Travis’.

          • Pghemtchick says:

The mom and Aunt were there again today. I don’t know what the dad/bro look like. Poor Travis’s siblings there. My heart aches for his gram that raised him since his parents are deceased has to endure this with those kids. You know as shielded as she maybe that this is getting discussed at her bridge club/canasta club/book club/whatever she does with the gals.

      • trudie says:

I can’t get enough of this trial. I watched Nancy Grace; Brian Carr (I think that’s his name) who is a friend of Jodi’s and goes to trial every day and visits her in jail went on some radio show and said that Jodi is convinced she will not be convicted, has a lesbian lover in jail who will be released soon and they want Brian to be their sperm donor so they can have a baby.

        • I Need A Housewives' Detox Program says:

Oh, for the love of God!!!

I’ve heard that some members of the jury now appear to be sympathetic to her because of the Prosecutor’s intense and sometimes rapid-fire manner when questioning her.

I swear that, at certain points, when she is dueling with the Prosecutor, it almost looks like she has to fight back a grin, like she is ENJOYING it. What a true psychopath or sociopath!!

          • trudie says:

One of the shows that I watched had a body language expert on and she agreed with you. They showed a clip where Jodi was crying during the cross-examination and when she removed her glasses, you can catch a fleeting smile on her face. She is enjoying this.

  29. AZGirl says:

OT: Just found God’s twitter account and it is really funny. Check it out.

  30. AZGirl says:

This may have already been discussed. If so, my apologies. I guess Sheree Winfield has filed a lawsuit against Tamara Tattles and her WordPress blog. TT has been keeping track of Sheree’s house being built. Pictures and all and posting a progress blog on WordPress. TT has also been writing about all of Ms. Winfield’s legal problems.

    • iceNfire says:

News of lawsuit was posted but nobody want to discuss it….

      • AZGirl says:

Well….there you go! AZGirl a day late and a dollar short 🙂

        • lizzle says:

I heard from one tweet that the TamaraTattles person actually went inside the home as it was being built to obtain info…. from what I gather, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back and got Sheree to take legal action.

          • L.A. Chica says:

Wow, I’d sue, too! What a violation of privacy.

          • Pghemtchick says:

If that’s true, I get the lawsuit. Especially since there were allegedly floor plan pics/diagrams posted. As a now private citizen- that’s a no go. As a “public” figure that’s definitely a no go. She has minor children right? If those were posted online, any crazy/pedo out there could know exactly where her babies lay their heads. All allegedly of course. If it didn’t happen, then I don’t see a case. I took pics of ALDC last year when I was down there, should Abbey Lee Miller get a restraining order? I dunno it’s interesting to say the least.

            • lizzle says:

What I read was that the builders let her in, but I am getting all of this second hand. There was nobody disagreeing with that info.. but people were saying that because the builder let her in… she was invited and had a right to be there. Not everyone agreed that it was OK.. but most on the thread were saying Sheree has no basis for a lawsuit. I don’t know how I feel. I don’t think paparazzis go inside personal property… they just lurk outside… so the law might be on Sheree’s side. But again.. I don’t know. And I don’t even know what really happened because I got all of this off a twitter convo… so just put allegedly in every one of my sentences.

            • L.A. Chica says:

Imho, taking photos of a business – especially one that is featured on TV – is much different than taking photos of someone’s private home, even if it’s only in the process of being built.

      • realhousewifeva says:

I would discuss it but I don’t even know who she is nor do I really care, lol.

  31. Powell says:

Have you all heard Joe Francis-Girls Gone Wild filed for chp 11 bankruptcy. He just doesn’t want to pay Steve Wynn.

Also have you heard that the CEO of Zappos put $350 mill of his own money into revitalization of Downton Vegas? There’s a video on the internet. He helped a lady open her boutique. She said she’s making 5 Xs what she projected. That’s fantastic. I love it when billionaires help communities.

    • iceNfire says:

      Why does he owe Wynn?

      • Powell says:

From racking up a huge gambling debt at Wynn’s hotel & casino. Joe claims he doesn’t owe money. During the trial he claims Wynn threatened to have him killed and had Quincy Jones subpoena as a witness that Wynn threatened him. Q Jones testified that it’s not true that he wasn’t a witness to this threat. Wynn is going to get his money out of Joe.

  32. iceNfire says:

Lisa may be The Queen of The World but Nene is The Brightest The Star

  33. iceNfire says:

Oh! I just remembered something I saw posted to Brandi’s blog:
Mauri went on a ‘girls trip’. Ken was already in London with Lisa and David had no intention of going. Kyle must have felt very insecure without Faye and Adrienne so she dragged Mauri along with the excuse it was a planned vacy for the 2 of them. It was a Bravo paid HW trip!

    • Powell says:

      Interesting.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Didn’t Kyle sy that she and Mauricio were already planning to go to Paris? I know Kyle annoys everyone but its not like she just brought him out of the blue. Should she have told him to stay home when Marissa called her at the airport to say her and her husband were not going? I don’t think Kyle would bring her husband on a girls trip- we have not seen her do that before

      • BB says:

I think it was all set up by Bravo and that it was a “coincidence” that Kyle and Mauricio happened to be going to Paris the same time Yolanda was going. And then Yolanda happened to “invite” the others and they all happened to be available those dates. The only snag came when the Zanucks couldn’t go and it kind of messed up the husband balance a little (although Yolanda, Brandi, and Taylor had she choses to go would have been husbandless). I agree that Kyle wouldn’t have brought Mauricio had it been a “girls only” trip. She would have invited Faye instead – HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  34. AZGirl says:

Behold: @TheTweetOfGod’s definitive newspaper interview about the Pope! http://www.metro.us/newyork/lifestyle/tech/2013/02/28/exclusive-interview-with-god-pope-was-a-iv-out-of-x/

God’s interview regarding the Pope retiring. Very funny.

  35. nyc mama says:

so with the RHBH reunion filming tomorrow it will be interesting to watch Kyle without her wingmen answer questions about her behavior. Camille tweeted she is not invited (she also tweeted that she feels like a step child) and Marissa isn’t going either which probably means Faye will be MIA too, thankfully. With Adrienne a maybe that only leaves Kim and Taylor to pick up the slack but I a, not sure either will back Kyle’s behavior this year.

I also wonder if Paul will apologize to Brandi publicaly in his taped segment but probably won’t address the Bernie situation since he has a lawsuit pending. Bet Paul feels like such a fool but I still don’t feel sorry for him.

Can’t wait to see Lisa, Brandi and Yolanda address the issues and watch Kyle squirm. Maybe she’ll bring Portia in hopes that it will help her image. 😉

    • Nancy says:

As long as her used car salesman doesn’t show up I’ll be ok.

    • iceNfire says:

Why isn’t Marissa going? If Adri doesn’t show up Kyle is left holding the bag. Kim is useless and Taylor already isn’t playing nice with Kyle anymore. Kyle is a sitting duck what will she do? i dunno but can’t wait to see it

      • Nancy says:

Lisa is such a class act I don’t see her going after Kyle.

How was the first day back to work for your son?

        • iceNfire says:

Not yet, first day is Saturday. I just found out he IS going to job interview in Arizona next week. I-Am-Not-Happy

        • nyc mama says:

I don’t think she will necessarily “go after Kyle”. You are right that isn’t her style, but she isn’t going to tip toe around the truth and how she feels. Kyle is now vulnerable without her posse. I doubt she will be using her lines like playing chess with Bobby Fisher this year like she did last.

          • iceNfire says:

And Kyle will ‘be so confused’ she will not understand what happened to her friendship with Lisa, (que croc tears) and she really likes Brandi but she doesn’t want to be stuck in the middle. She supports Kims sobriety (not) and she thinks Taylor is a good mother (that was a communication error)….it’s almost like I already saw the reunion

        • iceNfire says:

Lisa really has no reason to go after Kyle but Brandi sure does. That dinner when Kyle unleashed Fayekr was horrid

          • Powell says:

She won’t go after her but will discuss Kyle’s disaster dinner party, Kyle not having Lisa’s back & FayeK not being invited by Lisa to the tea party.

        • BB says:

Lisa is too smart for that. She won’t initiate it. Someone else will initiate something (Brandi, Andy, Yolanda, etc.) and Lisa will get her pont across that way. Lisa doesn’t normally attack first.

      • BB says:

Taylor is still in Kyle’s corner mostly. She didn’t even blame Kyle for kicking her out of the White Party. Kyle and Taylor are still close friends from all accounts I’ve seen. Although Taylor has become quite the loose cannon of late. Lol.

        • iceNfire says:

          From Taylor’s blog Feb. 18th. I guess I saw it as a stronger statement against Kyle than it really was…my memory is prejudiced that way;
‘This week’s episode makes it look like I wasn’t keeping track of my precious Kennedy. Nothing could be further from the truth. And Kyle knows it.’

          • realhousewifeva says:

Yah but on twitter she seems okay with Kyle and has agreed with Kyle that editing was in place and they can’t control editing, per Kyle’s words.

          • california35 says:

This is what i was thinking. Taylor said something like that – her friends not being her friends. Your lines are clearer 🙂
But then she went around as to not bother Kyle with er statement. So who knows. I think she back paddled because she doesn’t want to lose Kyle, but she had to defend herself.

      • nyc mama says:

Marissa was not invited nor was Camille. I don’t know the reason behind it, I can speculate and think that Camille and Marissa are just friends and if they are invited then Faye is too and perhaps Bravo realized no one wants to see her. Also, what do any of them really have to add. None had a real story line.

        • TexasTart says:

Not invited, ooooh I think you are right about this eliminates the need to invite Faykr! Thank goodness I can not stomach her. Just as well because none of them had enough airtime to sit there and hash out a season.

        • realhousewifeva says:

Wow, I’m surprised Camille is not invited, even if just to make an appearance like Dana and Brandi did last year. I feel like Camille would be important since she’s on Adrienne’s side and the whole SUR issue. Gonna be weird if all the “other side” are not even going to be there. Where’s the fun in that?

    • TexasTart says:

Thank you nyc mama. I wonder why they did not invite Camille, as they had friends of housewives at the reunion before. Interesting there will be no Marisa too…I wonder what is up with that?! Assuming Charo is a no show, these absenses combined will change the dynamic. Especially for Kyle, heh heh.

      • BB says:

I kind of feel like Adrienne owes it to Kyle to at least show up. Kyle had her back most of the season. But I’m not sure Adrienne knows the true meaning of friendship.

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

What exactly does Lisa have to go after Kyle about?… Oh right the fact that she said Lisa holds a grudge…and here’s Lisa a year later still mad that Kyle didn’t stick up for her at the last reunion!!! Lisa has said this about Kyle for the entire season-proving the point that she does in fact hold a grudge- very tightly! I hope they just end the friendship so we never have to hear about it again!!! I know everyone thinks Kyle was in on the “Take down” but I don’t buy it. I think Kyle wanted Lisa to know that she was on to the game that Lisa was playing-lets not act like Lisa didn’t know what she was doing when she became friendly with Brandi.

        • Nancy says:

I think she wants an apology from Kyle for what was done to her at the last reunion.

          • iceNfire says:

Lisa is big on apologies, she even got one out of Adri but Kyle can kiss her friendship with Lisa good bye. Of course it will all be blamed on Brandi because after all Brandi is the common denominator. Why do I feel like I’m tipping Kyle off? You reading this Kyle? “Shame on you”

        • WindyCityWondering says:

Lisa knows when to cut her loses. She can be cordial but that doesn’t mean she has to buy into the bs any longer. She got what she wanted and dismissed Adrienne without involving anyone else. She knows where she stands with Kyle and while they won’t be friends, Lisa will be cordial. Nothing pisses someone off more than being “dismissed”.

        • realhousewifeva says:

“let’s not act” Sorry, but your opinion is not always FACT when it comes to Brandi and Lisa. My goodness.

In Season 1 Kyle knew what she was doing when she was trying to make Lisa jealous of her friendship with Taylor. Holding her hand while the 3 were out together and calling Lisa “Jelly”. Now the tables are turned…BOOHOO Kyle.

          • Nancy says:

            Exactly.

          • nyc mama says:

            Agree!

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Is it just mine-or is everyone’s opinion not fact? “Let’s not act” like all of our opinions are n not FACT-they are in fact our opinions.

            • nyc mama says:

But some of our opinons are based on fact – taken from what the players have themselves said. I don’t think Lisa has stated why she and Brandi became friends and remain close to this day so that would just be speculation. She has clearly stated why her relationship with Kyle changed over the last 2 seasons. Lisa’s actions always back her words, and visa versa, something that can’t be said for a few others like Kyle and Adrienne.

              • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Of course some opinions are based on fact…and some are based on the fact that person being discussed is not liked or is liked.

                • iceNfire says:

Agree – my opinion IS swayed by whether or not I like the person in question. Then the next season rolls around and I do a 180 and want to forget everything I had previously stated so strongly about about My Fav who is now the most hated person I’ve ever seen and vice verse

                • nyc mama says:

Absolutely. I have changed my opinion of people based on the circumtances and my opinions are certainly swayed by my feelings after being somewhat manipulated by Bravo but after a while (a few seasons) you do get a sense of someone’s character even through the lens of Bravo and their agenda.

                • L.A. Chica says:

My opinions are based on fact. But when facts show a person I dislike in a positive light I don’t deny it, because the truth is the truth regardless of my personal feelings.

For instance, I can’t stand Taylor, yet I believe her version of what happened with the Kennedy switch off. If I were solely basing my opinion on my bias then I’d say I didn’t believe her because she’s such an awful person, but that would be wrong.

              • Rebecca says:

Lisa stated why she became friends with Brandi in the first episode. She loved her playfulness and sense of humor. Brando doesn’t take digs at her or try to put her down in her place like Kyle does to her.

                • L.A. Chica says:

That’s right. On the show she said that initially she didn’t like Brandi because she’d believed Kyle’s version of events and was standing up for her friend. Then she got to know her on her own terms while they were in Hawaii and realized she liked her.

THEN, on her blog she wrote that her reassessment of Brandi was reinforced by watching the show and realizing that Kyle’s version of Game Night was badly distorted.

              • kit9 says:

Not exactly. At the reunion when Kyle said Lisa had said something critical of her on a radio show in retaliation, Lisa flatly denied it. Then Kyle said she had it on tape and Lisa shut her mouth immediately. And, if you go back and look at when Adrienne first confronted Lisa about the bachel. party. Lisa said she didn’t ask Ad about the Palms because she didn’t want to impose by asking such a favor. And, Ad said that Lisa never had a problem asking for biz favors before and Lisa, again, flatly and forcefully denied ever asking Ad for favors in the past. Well, they go back and forth and Adrienne says that Lisa asked Ad to stock Lisa’s wine in her hotels. And, Lisa says, ‘oh, yeah, well’, conceding she had in fact asked Ad for favors in the past. I like Lisa but she ain’t no angel and not above lying.

        • kit9 says:

The ‘take down’ was bs. I went back a while ago and read all the statements, tweets, etc. Brandi started out claiming all the women-except Camille- had a meeting about going after Lisa. Then she had to backtrack and said she didn’t actually know if Kyle was there or not after Kyle pushed back hard, saying not only that a meeting never took place but that there was never any talk about a meeting to take down Lisa So, that leaves just Taylor and Adrienne to attend the dread takedown meeting. But, wait, Taylor didn’t say a word against Lisa at the reunion..

Then Brandi admitted that she never actually heard Adrienne say anything about a Lisa ambush but that she heard it from some business partner of Adrienne’s. Here’s what I think happened, I think that he ‘biz partner’ in question is the very same friend of Brandi’s that Adrienne’s been referring to this season. I’m guessing Adrienne said something about how she was po over some things and she wanted to confront Lisa about at the reunion(the purpose of a reunion, btw)and the former partner of Adrienne went and blabbed to Brandi. And, Brandi, exaggerated it and blew it up into a ‘takedown’. One very interesting tidbit I caught is that Brandi was still Tweeting pleasantly to Adrienne after this all went public..something about the two of them going to lunch and sorting it all out. Yet, now, this is some horrible thing Adrienne did to Brandi that she won’t shut up about this season.

          • nyc mama says:

Perhaps, there are conflicting stories about the takedown but the facts that are no bs are:
            1) Adrienne/Bernie planted stories about Brandi’s mothering skils, alleged abuse of drugs and alcohol, and other things that could have detrimentally affected her custody arrangements.
            2) Adrienne went after Lisa, falsely accusing her of several things at the reunion including planting/selling stories.
            3) Adrienne tried to have Brandi not hired/fired from RHBH which would have affected her llivlihood.
            4) Adrienne sent Brandi a C/D letter to intimidate her.
            5) There was an intended confrontation against Lisa at last years tea party that turned into outing Russells alleged abuse.

The purpose of a reunion is to discuss what happened during the season, pleasant and unpleasant, but it was intended to facilitate the takedown of one person by the rest of the cast as we are now seeing happening again on Shah’s this year.

            • iceNfire says:

wait – what was # 5? was it that Taylor thought Lisa was mean to her? The sobs of ‘if you can’t be my friend plz dont be my enemy’?

              • TexasTart says:

Remember when The Grifter was outside at the gate talking to Paul? She told him they were going to confront Lisa, but Camille turned the tables on the topic!

              • nyc mama says:

Yes, but if you remember the intention also was to confront Lisa. Taylor was telling Paul about it at the gate.

                • nyc mama says:

oops, just saw a typo above. Should read..
The purpose of a reunion is to discuss what happened during the season, pleasant and unpleasant, but it was NOT intended to facilitate the takedown of one person by the rest of the cast as we are now seeing happening again on Shah’s this year.

            • Vegas Chick says:

              6) Kyle needs a makeover and so does her sister. Long hair, parted in the middle is so Morticia Addams, lol.
              http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=mortica&qpvt=mortica&FORM=IGRE

            • L.A. Chica says:

Number five is particularly irksome to me. I don’t care if it’s a Bravo-created event for the cameras, I just think it’s the height of rude behavior to attack someone in their own home. If you can’t be a well mannered guest then STFU and LEAVE.

  36. nyc mama says:

Grudge or simply just a reason that their relationship has evolved to where it currently is.

I think Nancy hit the nail on the head. She wants an apology and without one trust cannot be rebuilt. Lisa is understandably hurt from the reunion and Kyle’s continued behavior behind Lisa/s back and she is honest when asked why she isn’t as close to Kyle as she once was.. That is different than a grudge. That is opening your eyes to reality and moving forward with the facts. It’s not hard to understand why Lisa wouldn’t trust her after watching Kyle’s behavior.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Interesting how Kyle, Kim and Mauricio always talk in terms of “grudges”….who does that? Sorry but if you act like an asshat then saying someone has a grudge against you is just another way of not taking responsibility for your own actions or non actions.

      • iceNfire says:

The friendship is polluted and when Kyle says she wants to move forward what she means is she wants Lisa trust again but she doesn’t want to address the mess she made.

        • L.A. Chica says:

Yep. “Moving on” is Kyle’s way of conveniently avoided taking responsibility for her behavior. She avoids all forms of self-examination. “But you’re not perfect, either!” Deflect, deflect, deflect.

      • L.A. Chica says:

        Exactly!

    • california35 says:

I thought the friendship was over if not before, for sure after the reunion. Kyle was not helpful AT ALL tours Lisa. That’s fine if you are done, but dont expect Lisa to move on and feel and act as if they are friends. Kyle sea silly now telling Lisa that Lisa is not the same with her, or even worst to say she hold a grudge.

Seriously Kyle!! And Lisa can be friendly but not friends with her any more. Kyle is feeling bad, but i don’t think she feels bad about how she acted she feels bad for not being the friend popular friend any more. Reminds me of someone. That when people didn’t turn on Lisa, now Kyle wants to be her fiend again.

  37. realhousewifeva says:

Jodi Arias should have pleaded insanity and not self defense, because bitch is definitely INSANE

    • jezzibel says:

No kidding…she’s a crap liar and a even worse actress. His poor family, having to sit there and listen to her lie and act like she is auditioning for some twisted serial killer version of american idol.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Now this is something we totally agree on rh!!! I wasn’t watching the trial before but I read the comments posted here and decided to take a look…then I started reading a bunch of articles and watched that 48 Hours interview….she is beyond nuts!!!!

  38. BB says:

OT. You guys remember Tina Yothers from the show Family Ties? She’s going to be on What Not to Wear tonight on TLC. She’s aged pretty well considering I think she went through a rough period after the show was over.

  39. djprincessc says:

I haven’t read the comments for today besides Powell’s first one so IDK if anyone has mentioned it already, but did anyone see the Real Housewives of OC on earlier today?!?! It was like the 1st or 2nd season I think, I watched like one episode before I was leaving to run some errands and I was sooooooo shocked at how much the show has changed!! There was no fighting or bitchiness at all! I forgot how stuffy the show originally was and I liked it! It was interesting seeing them and their families are jewelry shopping. How can we get the series back to the original format?!?!?! lol.

    • california35 says:

It has changed :-/ i guess drama does sell more.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I was watching today too….what a difference!!! They were all so nice to each other and there really was no drama between the ladies. What the hell happened?????

      • djprincessc says:

I know!! It was soooo refreshing! Andy Cohen has really ruined it, I don’t think it was for better ratings bc I remember when OC debuted the ratings were through the roof :/

  40. nyc mama says:

Now it looks like Reza and MJ are working on their friendship again. Several tweets about them meeting today with Mike. I am suspect about his sincereity since I think he saw how reviled he became and is trying to stop the backlash is is about to get when reunion 2 airs on sunday.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Poor MJ-I feel bad for her having to even sit in the same room as Reza. Last season I loved her and Reza together…what a difference a season makes in reality TV land!!!

      • nyc mama says:

I so agree. Their friendship was endearing to watch
As I said above I am suspect about Reza’s motives. He is scheduled to be on WWHL on Sunday and I think he is using this as a pr ploy to regain at least some of the many fans that have turned on him this year after watching his vile behavior and hypocrisy towards MJ.

I hope he is sincere but I am skeptical as to his motives and don’t trust him it after how sleazy he, Asa and Lilly were to her all season.

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I dont understand Lilly at all. She is so odd. Asa is too full of herself and so self-promoting it is really just too much. I think Reza and Asa started to believe that they were REALLY stars!!!!!
I miss Reza and MJ being funny and playful…this fighting and back stabbing crap get old so quick!!!!

  41. djprincessc says:

Ooooooo everyone look what I just found!!! I hope its true Karma for Tamra…FINALLY!! lol.

Is anyone watch BH first look??? Kim is a holy mess!!!!

  45. djprincessc says:

Nancy, if you’re here I’m gonna be switching back and forth between the Lakers and AI, so I’ll prob miss some things!

  46. Nancy says:

OMG Kim is a mess!!!! Those darn pain meds.

  47. Nancy says:
