Kandi Burruss Sues Kim Zolciak and Other Gossip by NoMoreDrama
Well – it finally happened. One housewife is suing another. I’m not talking about a cease and desist letter. This is for real and over real money. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. I thought Kandi Burruss was over Kim Zolciak not paying her for Tardy for the Party. But I guess once their friendship fell apart, there was nothing stopping Kandi from trying to get what she thought was owed to her. They discussed it at two reunions and Kim made some sort of vague promises to pay. Anyway – the Courthouse News is reporting that Kandi is suing Kim for illegally licensing and distributing a song Kandi co-wrote. Kandi’s lawyer – Phaedra Parks.
Kim’s response (on twitter) was deflection: “actually my daughter
@BrielleZolciak was the original songwriter!” And then: “People will do anything for publicity! So funny yet so sad!”
Kandi: “the original version of that song was a joke. Not what people bought. The only thing that’s the same is the title.”
The timing couldn’t be worse with the reunion shooting yesterday. This was Kandi’s tweet from Tuesday: “Well, we’re shooting the
#RHOA reunion on weds. Im NOT looking 4ward 2 it. I can already c its gonna b DRAMA. Arguing makes my stomach turn.”
Kim seemed upbeat as she headed to the reunion, “On my way to shut it down!!! Looking fab much thanks to my amazing stylist.”
Kim’s lawyer says it is a publicity stunt because there isn’t enough money to make a lawsuit worthwhile (according to toofab). Perhaps it is a publicity stunt with both ladies having their spin off shows returning to Bravo soon.
Meanwhile, Andy Cohen has spoken to E! News about Adrienne Maloof skipping the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion. “She stiffed me. I was not pleased. Also, I feel it was bad for her because, why let six women have the last word on an entire season? I think she should have been there to speak her mind, and she may be surprised with some of the directions the conversations took. ” (updated – sorry I cut and paste the quote and included some text that wasn’t actually a quote the first time around NMD).
And finally, reports are surfacing that Kim Richards was out of it at her niece Paris Hilton’s birthday party in Vegas. According to an eyewitness account in Star Magazine, “she arrived at Paris’ birthday party at Harrah’s Peek nightclub in Lake Tahoe looking loopy, with a very unnatural smile plastered across her face. She was gyrating with a shirtless go-go dancer, stuffing dollars in his pants and dancing wildly on stage. It was inappropriate at a family event!”
Rachel Zoe Project by Amy
The episode opens with Rachel and Rodger reading reviews on their terrace. The reviews are good, one calls her collection “easy breezy and not just for boho girls anymore”. Rodger brings up immediately that he hopes that they can sell their collection. Mandana is at the Nordstrom meeting and is happy that they feel that there is an improvement with the line.
Rachel arrives with Skyler, who immediately starts having fun. Rachel doesn’t like going to the meetings because she worries that she intimidates the buyers. Rachel asks how they feel about long dresses and they think “hit or miss”, not everyone wants maxi skirts. Rachel takes this in stride and then decides to leave. She wants them to pick what they think will sell, not what she says, she feels rude being there telling them what to buy. They are into the leather shorts, as that is big for spring. Mandana says that this meeting was “ok” and that she hopes they are convinced to sell Rachel’s products.
The businesswoman part of Rachel wants to have her hand in every part of her ventures. She and Rodger arrive at their new salon, Dreamdry, and it still needs a lot of renovating. Rachel loves that in the drawing they have a Louis Vuitton bag on the floor. Rachel and her partner Robin discuss how they want the opening to be perfect. Back at Rachel’s office in LA she arrives with Skyler. Her business has expanded. She has 32 employees and 5 divisions. Eileen is the newest member. Skyler is unhappy and is vocally letting everyone know. Rachel has a media group who handle all of her social media. Rachel tries to give Skyler to Rodger but the little man is not having it. Rachel tells Rodger that when Skyler is 3 he will love him.
Rachel and Mandana haven’t slept well. Rachel is leaving next week for Paris fashion week. Rachel is confused by her bang and is overwhelmed. Eileen comes from a New York fashion background and Rachel feels that that makes her one step ahead. They have to style a band named Karmin in Coach fashion for a music video. Rachel remarks that she started out styling for music videos. Smaller boutiques are shopping from Rachel’s collection with Lauren, the collection manager. The owners love some looks but none of the maxi items seem to be selling.
Rodger and Rachel “Silbs” the assistant are unpacking boxes for Rodger to move into his office. They talk about his and Rachel’s dog, who is staying with her mom permanently. Silbs talks about how she needs to be a good listener and let him vent.
Mandana meets with Lauren to talk about how marketing went. They discuss that the editorial pieces don’t feel practical for consumers. Maxi’s don’t do well despite the fact that they are Rachel’s favorite part. They talk about one of her dresses that is really only a red carpet look. Mandana says that people need to stop protecting Rachel from bad news.
Eileen arrives at the Coach store to gather items for the music video. The video is supposed to be wintery chic. Eileen wants to pick out some fun and poppy choices. Eileen picks out a ton of things to make sure there are lots of choices at the shoot.
Lauren talks to Rachel. She dreads this meeting because some of Rachel’s favorite pieces are not well received by the retailers. The leopard print is liked by many of the retailers. She tells Rachel that the maxis are not being well received. Rachel is wearing one and doesn’t understand why people don’t want them. She calls it “fashion bullshit” and doesn’t understand why they won’t sell. She feels that they are elegant and easier to wear than short dresses. Rachel is trying to decide what to do about her love of maxi dresses. She puts on a fur hat to help herself think. Rachel admits that she is new(ish) at this and she will modify but still put out these sort of pieces.
The Coach pieces are delivered and there are lots of boxes. Eileen hopes that Rachel is happy with what she’s chosen. Silbs delivers photographs to Rodger that are the most recent look of the salon. It looks as though nothing has changed since Rachel and he visited. Robin promised that the floor and walls would be done immediately. The salon is opening in 60 days. He calls her to discuss the progress. She doesn’t know when building will happen. The budget is apparently an issue. Robin says that some of Rachel’s choices are outside of their budget. Rodger says she shouldn’t have been presented with options outside of the budget and that they can’t bring this back to her.
Rachel finds a vintage Chanel bag in her closet and decides to use it for her computer. Rodger tells her that Dreamdry will not be ready on time. He tells her that some design elements can’t be afforded. Rachel says they cannot get rid of the chevron floor. Rachel wants him to bring her good news. Rachels talks about how she would run them into the ground financially if Rodger wasn’t taking care of it. Rachel decides that they should have their pow wows in her closet because she likes being there.
They day before the Karmin shoot and the musicians, Nick and Amy, have arrived for their fitting. Eileen is nervous. Coach will be taking stills for their website. Rachel begins picking pieces. She is very happy with how Eileen did. Rachel says that she forgets how fun styling is. She asks Nick and Amy to sing and rap, which they do and it’s tight and awesome. Rachel is doing a 60’s mod take on “snuggly holiday”.
The day of the video shoot arrives and the styling space is very small. Eileen is worried because they are missing a cardigan. The shoot continues as they frantically search for the missing sweater. The commercial interlude involves Rachel styling Rodger and them bickering about her choices. They’ve been together 21 years and still seem to have fun. Veronica the intern is still searching for the cardigan. Rachel stops the shooting to fix the clothing. Eileen is worried because they could call for a wardrobe change at any time and they are still missing the sweater. Veronica finds that the sweater had fallen on the hanger. Rachel does not end up using the sweater anyways. Rachel and Skyler dance to the music playback. Rachel feels like it wasn’t really a work day because she had so much fun. Next week she and Rodger are off to Paris!

Welcome back Castaways. Last week, we said goodbye to two players. Shamar was taken out of the game by a grain of sand in his eye. He seemed to be a pain in the ass thorn in everyone’s side so I don’t think most were disappointed to see him go. The fans then lost at the immunity challenge so they then had to vote out another player and that was Laura. Just as well, I think.. If she was going to be an asset at all in the challenges, her opportunity hadn’t arrived yet and it was costing them challenges to keep her around. Back at camp, it’s the usual banter. Nothing special comes of it except they all seem to think, that the immunity idol gets put back into play. You know, Reynold played his, he says, so he could tell the rest what he was really thinking and they couldn’t do anything about it, then. You superfans would know, Does the hidden idol ever get put back into play? I can’t say I’ve ever seen it happen but most are smart enough to hold on to them until actually needed. Not like what this dumbass Reynold did.
In a rare bit of footage, over at the Bikal (rare because they weren’t at council and didn’t vote anyone out) camp, we see Brandon talking to the rest. He tells them it was selfish for him to leave his family to run off and play this game. He asks them, at first opportunity, to vote him off. He assures them that if they do, he won’t pee in the food and burn the camp as he has previously promised to do. Only a few hours later, he’s changed his mind. He wants to stay, for his family. He’s now excited to feel back in the game and is even giddy about it. Make up your mind, Brandon..
It doesn’t matter what anyone has said at this point because it’s reward challenge time and they all have to play nice together in order to win some goodies. Probst ushers in the teams as usual and introduces the game as well as the reveal of the new Fans tribe (Gota). The challenge is pretty simple. Two members from each tribe will hold a rope holding up a net basket while members of the opposing tribe shoot coconuts into the baskets. Last person still holding on, wins reward for the team. (2 baskets each team). Three members of Bikal have to sit out. I know I heard Cochran say he wants to shoot so, Erik, Dawn, and Andrea. I’m thinking two things right now as I watch. One, Fans probably could have used Shamar to hold one of those ropes. Second, remember a couple weeks back, Pinky, was bragging about his B-Ball skills? Let’s see if he can put his coconuts where his mouth is. Well, I guess we aren’t going to find out because he’s holding a net, along with Brandon for the Bikal tribe. On the Gota tribe, it is the two old dudes, Michael and Matt (the beard).
They begin shooting. Reynold has targeted Brandon’s net and is doing a pretty good job of filling it. Sherri on the other hand, every time she throws a coconut at Pinky’s net, he hollars some word or phrase, and she misses. Kunta Kinte, Aye Karumba, other unintelligible things but, it’s working. Probst says, Sherri is worthless in this challenge. Ha! Coconuts are heavy so in addition to the strain of holding the nets up, it also takes strength to throw the coconuts and continue doing so. At this point they are all struggling to hold up the nets and Brandon drops his first. I think Reynold nearly filled the net. Malcolm is going after Matt and succeeds in making it too heavy for him. We are left with Pinky and Michael. In the end, it is Pinky who wins. The faves just went double time on Michael and nearly filled his net to the rim. Once again, Fans are going home empty handed.
At the Gota camp, it appears to have rained and they are trying to start a fire as they are talking about the loss. TH Eddie thought that today would be a turning point. The others are talking about something needing to change. Sherri isn’t saying anything, she was disappointed to get rid of Laura ’cause, she reminded her of her daughter. Isn’t that special? Remember last week, everyone was saying that they aren’t winning with P2 (Reynold and Eddie) on the tribe..
TH Sherri says that she went with the plan to bounce Laura and they still lost. Sourpuss. REALLY? Laura got winded opening locks on a crate. You Honestly believe that she would have had something to add to that challenge? Tell me sourpuss, How many coconuts did YOU sink? Your aim sucked, IF you got the damn nut up high enough to even go in. Pinky beat you with with his one or two word remarks. You really should check yourself because so far, you too suck at this game. It is crystal clear big huge red letter obvious to me at this point, that you expect the others to push you through to the end. I don’t know about everyone else, but at this point, you are My choice for next to leave the islands. If that idol is back in play, she better find it, quick, fast, and in a hurry and make sure everyone else knows she has it. I will be flabbergasted if these dumbasses continue to follow her lead, right down the toilet. Okay.. enough rant (for now)..
Well well, what do we see next? The entire tribe looking for that hidden idol. I guess my question has been answered because it does exist and guess who found it…. Reynold. For now, the Survivor Gods are definitely smiling on this guy. Let’s see if he’s stupid enough to reveal it again. All the others were looking as well, and in similar places, one (Michael) even said, that he hopes Reynold doesn’t find it, again. Reynold says that if he’s going to keep finding it he may keep playing it (joke).. He says that there is a direct correlation between opening your big fat mouth and the idol having to get played. Which is true. It happens every time. Oh, Brother… Back at the shelter, we see Eddie lying there. Doesn’t look like he made any effort whatsoever to find the idol. We see Julie preparing the cook pot for whatever slop they will be dining on that evening as Reynold confirms the P2 alliance with Eddie and tells him, he has the idol. Really? I mean, I knew this guy was a dumbass but come on… After he Just said something about opening one’s big fat mouth. Just, stunning. TH Eddie is laughing his ass off at Sourpuss Sherri combing the woods and the beach looking for the idol. I’ll admit, so am I.
Over at the Bikal camp, they are enjoying their reward. Steaks, sausage, and other fixins’ for a barbque. Things go south though, real fast. The tribe is talking it up about how well everyone did on the challenge. Then Pinky chimes in about how well he did on the challenge, as if he won it all by his lonesome once again spewing some BS about his basketball skills. This annoys the hell out of Brandon (admittedly, me too) and in TH, he tells us so and what a joke he thinks this alliance is. He’s tired of hearing Pinky run his mouth, (admittedly, me too). A little later in this scene, it’s raining and one of the women asks if something should be replaced, I guess it was leaking. Pinky says he isn’t worried about things like that but is more focused on winning challenges. In other words, in my view, Shamar 2.0. Brandon takes him to task telling him that he acts like a dictator around the camp (he does) and he isn’t going to let Pinky off of the hook on this. The others, privately, feel that Brandon is a loose cannon. Helloooooooooo… Have any of you Watched this show? Some of you Played with him before. Pinky is pissed and sulking on the beach about what has just happened. How Dare anyone challenge The Specialist on his leadership (because that is what has just happened). I personally would like to see Pinky win one of these challenges, single handed, as he seems to want us to believe he does. Anyway, Brandon makes some sort of an apology to Pinky and to his face, Pinky accepts it. Behind the back though, Brandon is ‘Persona Non Grata’ and come next opportunity, he’s gone. He told Brandon, “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you”… (Remember that).
Over at Gota, It’s monsoon season (as it is at Bikal) and has been raining for 48 hours and they are all huddled in the shelter. Matt’s feet look like shriveled prunes, Eddie has a cold, everything is wet and no hope of being dry anytime soon. They’ve been getting their asses kicked in the challenges, and Matt just wishes something good would happen to their tribe. Back over at Bikal, They at least have a dry shelter. Brandon is starting a fire with the flint and then, in TH, he says, “Between Philip and Brandon, Who starts the fire? Brandon”. He goes on to say that he doesn’t need some 54 year old punk bitch telling him, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. You all know that in Pinky’s soft brain, he believes that he and this ‘stealth r us’ bit are the only reason that tribe exists. The People on the tribe may be part of it but they all think you’re a huge joke, Pinky. So do I. Anyway, Brandon is getting pretty salty at this point. He says “I’m a Hantz… I, feed me” (TH).
Cochran comes in with tree mail that reads “Today the tribes will be ‘boxing’, you’ll fight for your life in the game, No time for a communication breakdown, tonight, another will lose their flame”. We haven’t seen much tree mail this season, there was a point to this scene. TH Pinky says they have to get Brandon out of camp because he isn’t sane. He may hurt somebody (I doubt it). Sometimes you have to do the unthinkable, to make something else possible. I do believe he is talking about throwing the immunity challenge. Careful Pinky, that doesn’t always go as planned. (I will direct your attention to a couple seasons ago when the idiot kickstand carriers gave away Immunity to the women so they could vote out the black guy because the gay bigot didn’t like him. Who won that season?). Let’s see. Pinky tells Andrea (who has been kissing his ass since day one) what he wants to do and she tells Brandon. Brandon confronts Pinky about it reminding him that he thought this issue between them was squashed the previous day. Pinky brings up Stealth R Us reminding him of what his job was in this spy ring… Brandon tells him that is a demeaning joke, no one likes those names (I mean, dominatrix, Really Corrine?). Pinky says well then let them vote me off and runs away to let everyone else deal with the wrath that is coming. This is the part we saw in the preview last week where Brandon dumps the food, tears up a bit of the camp, all the while telling Pinky “Now vote me out, Bitch”. All the while, Dawn is trying to talk some sense in to him. TH Dawn notes that no matter what, throwing away immunity is never a good idea in this game. Brandon may have in fact, snuffed his own torch here. I feel Brandon’s anger here, but I don’t think that was the right way to handle it.
Holy Shit. I don’t know how to recap this except to tell you to watch it for yourself but, I’ll try. This may be survivor history.. The teams get to the challenge site and Probst starts Probsting (he knows something is up). He asks Reynold how it is to be in the spot they are in and he says it’s rough, especially without all the amenities that the faves have. Dry shelter, food, they get along (Ha!), etc. Probst asks Cochran how discourse can affect the tribe to which he answers, it can be rough. Probst then turns his attention to Brandon because he’s kind of making faces (and Jeff knows what is going on at all times) and Brandon addresses the fans. He says they are about to receive a gift and don’t blow it by letting Pinky win (Brandon uses his real name. That’s a lot more respect than I have for the guy). He lets the fans, and Probst know, that it is the faves that will be going to council that night. Corrine pipes in with something, Brandon tells her to STFU, in so many words, because everything out of her mouth is bullshit.
The fans cannot believe what they are hearing and witnessing. Clearly the faves are uncomfortable with all of this. Probst calls Brandon to neutral ground, next to him, where he can address both tribes and Brandon continues his rant. Talking about the difficulty of coming off of the show last time and all that (I’m thinking boo freaking hoo). Probst then gives Pinky a chance to speak his piece and he begins in on how he always wanted to include Brandon in his Stealth R Us (I think this is the thing that really rubbed Brandon the wrong way, from day one), all the while, Brandon is calling bullshit on every word that comes out of Pinky’s mouth. At one point, Brandon reminded him of how he floated all the way to the end with his lips locked to Boston Rob’s ass and still didn’t win because everyone thought he was an ass kissing joke (I didn’t see it but that’s the only way it could have worked). Boston Rob played him for a complete fool (remember Sherri wanted Shamar as Her Phillip?). I think Pinky is hoping that someone’s lips are locked to his ass. I doubt it. Pinky brings up that Brandon was originally on board to get rid of Andrea and she starts crying. Probst stops Pinky and asks her what’s wrong. It comes down to she’s enjoyed team unity, grown kind of close to Brandon and it hurts her that he and Pinky are at each others’ throats. Pinky chimes in that he’s said nothing wrong to anyone, Brandon says “Phillip Shepard says nothing wrong, to anyone, ever” (I agree).
He further takes Pinky to task about being 100 years old thinking he’s never made a mistake. I’m sorry folks, I know you don’t like Brandon but he’s saying everything I’m thinking. Pinky is a complete joke. Probst tells Brandon that he doesn’t want this to get physical and that’s why he separated him from the rest. Brandon says “I’m doing this for you, Jeff” (not getting physical).. He notes to Brandon that his uncle is one of the most notorious ever to play the game and wonders if it’s in the genes.. Then, Pinky, who can’t keep that big mouth shut, pulls the biggest Bitch move I’ve seen yet. He brings up the finale of Brandon’s season where he was ‘disrespectful’ to his uncle and probably to his aunt too, who is ‘taking care of his kids’. Brandon had a natural reaction to that and I think Probst had to hold him back a bit. *I* wanted to cave in Pinky’s skull at that point. I’ll also note that Pinky is hiding behind the women. That’s where he’s been standing all along but I’m sure he feels safe there talking his shit knowing Brandon probably won’t go through the women to get to him. That’s just my take on that. Corrine says something, Probst tells her to shut it, he doesn’t need any input from the peanut gallery adding fuel to this fire. Dawn is visibly upset as are the others but she looks like she’s going to hyperventilate. There were other things said, this isn’t a full play by play and some of it may even be out of time order.
In the end, The faves hand over the immunity idol to the fans and tribal council is held right there. Brandon votes for Pinky, everyone else votes for Brandon, verbal vote. Probst asks Brandon if he’s okay with that, Brandon says he is. Probst tells Brandon to exit stage left behind the challenge area, he does and on his way, tells the fans to kick their asses and his parting shot, “Philip is a bitch”. I agree but, He’s still there, and Brandon is not.
I’ll close this episode by giving huge props to Probst for keeping a lid on this steam kettle. If it had gone physical, I doubt we would have seen it, it isn’t that type of reality show.
Next week kids, Corrine is planning to take out Pinky, Pinky is planning to take out Corrine. But wait, Although both tribes are feeling good, it looks like they are about to merge. We’ll see then how that all plays out. In case you are wondering, Yes, I did write this as I was watching it unfold, the first time around.
Watch it here at your leisure. With a warning. I know some of you are adverse to what happened on tonight’s episode, so you may want to choose to avoid it. Close ad and watch as free user – Start Video (you may have to press play as well). Download nothing and just close any pop up windows. Ask if you need help with that. You can also watch at CBS.COM (with the commercials and it is torture because you can’t skip them).
See you next week. Til then,
Peace, MTH aka WTFIJeff
I’m going to PS this recap with a question that I will answer for myself… Answer if you like or don’t… Which is more Toxic? Brandon? Or Pinky? I say Pinky. Brandon reacted honestly (I believe) and Pinky stood there and lied about his own part in it all. Let me explain a second why I say that. Everything Brandon said to Pinky was about him and directed right to his face and he didn’t stray to other members of Pinky’s family. In addition, it was about Pinky’s game play, underhanded as Brandon saw it. Pinky on the other hand has done nothing but talk shit behind Brandon’s back and when his own back was against the wall, made the bitch move of bringing up Brandon’s family and specifically, his kids. Not a man in my opinion and the name Pinky fits her quite nicely. I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with a number of Pinky’s both in the workplace and in my personal life. He is nothing but a backstabbing loser, I’ve known people like her nearly all my life. In case you’re all wondering if I just hate him on the show, the answer is no, I would hate him in real life too. There are no redeeming qualities in his type from what I can see and have experienced.
