Atlanta Reunion Tweets and Other Gossip by NoMoreDrama
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion filmed on Wednesday, and for the first time since I can remember, Andy Cohen didn’t tweet before, during, after, about the shoes, about the food, or even about a bird attacking his head. Nothing, nada, zip. Things that make you go hmmmm.
Kenya Moore tweeted: “
#RHOA reunion show is a must see. Don’t come for me unless I send for you!”
As for Kim Zolciak, she’s all but confirmed that her appearance on the reunion show is the last we’ll see of her on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She tweeted: “It was sad to say goodbye tonight I have such good memories these last 5 yrs but I’m so excited about my future! I will be forever grateful!”
Kim also had A LOT to say about former cast mate Kandi Burruss filing a lawsuit against her for the song “Tardy for the Party.” Kim is claiming that the lawsuit is a publicity stunt, and that she has paid – even overpaid Kandi. She also claims that Kandi tried to get the song pulled from itunes in December, but Kim had the paperwork to prove that the song was hers to distribute.
Here are some of the tweets: “I don’t owe kandi a dime in fact I overpaid her!
#fact #gotthedocstoproveit“ and “If I owed her money why did she do another song! #GTFOH” and “Kandi tried to pull the song down in Dec on iTunes but after I showed documents and proved points song was immediately put back up”. Asked why she didn’t let it go, or at least keep it off twitter, she replied, “no ma am! Not when you file a lawsuit publicly and it’s full of lies and malicious!.”
Walter Jackson, Kenya’s
fake boyfriend on the show, expressed frustration that he wasn’t invited to slam Kenya tell his side of the story. Walter does not seem to understand that viewers don’t really care. His tweets before the reunion: “Yeah I think TV meaning (Br_) is scared of me, they can’t control me and they can’t tell me what to say, So that’s y they WON’T INVITE me,” and “I don’t think they want YOU to hear the truth about a certain person now that THEY KNOW the truth, but they will let her make up lies on air” and “Notice I’ve been real quiet for a while. But they keep on letting “you know who” lie and jab at me on air and want me to keep quiet!! WOW.” I wonder if Walter knows Bryan (Bulldog)?
As for the other on-going feud on Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore’s been tweeting that her workout video is a top seller on amazon.com – outpacing Phaedra Parks video. Phaedra has set the record straight on twitter, explaining that her video is selling well, but has been out much longer which is why it’s not as high on the best selling list. I remember looking at Phaedra’s video a while back and it was around 15th on the list. Kenya’s was 19th when I looked at it today. I’m going to call it even. Part of me is shocked that Kenya actually went through with it – but maybe people will buy both videos as a comparison. It could actually be a good marketing tactic.
Project Runway “Take It All Off!” by BB
Note: I’m only providing one photo from this episode because the designs were so bad, they don’t deserve the time or effort of my downloading pictures of them from the website.
Last episode Tu and Kate were eliminated. The 8 remaining designers are: Samantha (1 Win), Stanley (1 win), Layana (1 Win), Daniel (2 Wins), Amanda, (1 Win), Patricia, Richard (1 Win), and Michelle (1 Win). Patricia is the only remaining designer who hasn’t won a challenge.
Host and Judge: Heidi Klum; Judges: Zac Posen and Nina Garcia; Mentor: Tim Gunn; Guest Judge: actress Emmy Rossum
Heidi and Tim come out to the runway and switch up the team selection process. The judges have decided who is going to be on two teams of four. The two new teams are Daniel, Patricia, Michelle and Stanley (Team Shades of Grey) versus Richard, Layana, Samantha and Amanda (Team Slick and Hip). Heidi announces that it’s time to have some fun! Tim and the designers will be taking a field trip the next day.
The next day, Tim introduces members of the male dance review Thunder from Down Under to the designers. They come out dressed in their stage costumes and start taking it off. They are all Australian and very easy on the eyes. They need a new costume for their opening routine. They must be able to remove their clothes very quickly. The designers have a double challenge; make menswear and make it tear-away. Each team will be designing three full looks and they must be cohesive. The dancers will be the clients and the models. They have 30 minutes to caucus, consult with their clients, and sketch. They will get $750 and only have one day to complete the challenge.
Michelle comes up with an idea about bike messengers, but Stanley thinks it’s too costumey. She eventually defers to the others on her team and agrees to stay with the business suit attire idea. The other team listens to their clients and gets some good tips; but Samantha thinks Richard’s ideas are gaudy and will end up being too drag. Richard doesn’t think his team is very receptive to his ideas and he can already see the lines being drawn.
At Mood, none of the women on Slick and Hip like Richard’s aesthetic and none of the other team like Michelle’s aesthetic. Tim smells chaos and bedlam at Mood. He tells them they have a very ambitious challenge and some of the worst work in the past on Project Runway has been menswear. He tells them they must not disappoint Thunder from Down Under.
The teams divvy up the work amongst themselves. Team Shades of Grey seems to get off to a good start by each designer working off of their strengths. Team Slick and Hip are having a harder time coming up with their style. Richard is trying to stay positive but he’s frustrated because he doesn’t feel like he’s expressing himself as a designer. He takes a break by skyping with one of his friends. While talking to her, he has a little breakdown. Being isolated from his friends and family has been hard, but he is resolved to make it happen as best he can.
Some of the designers are having problems fitting the muscular frames of their clients. They are used to skinny little male and female models. Michelle points out that Patricia is doing less work than the others on her team, but she’s still moving slower than her teammates on her one shirt.
Tim comes in to check on the teams. He starts with Team Slick and Hip. He wants to make sure Amanda and Samantha are talking to each other about the pants they are each making. He cautions the team to not feminize the men. There seems to be a disconnect amongst the team. Tim is concerned and it’s not good. He tells them they couldn’t seem to sort things out at Mood and it seems they still haven’t sorted them out. Panic time for Team Slick and Hip.
Over at Team Shades of Grey, Tim responds a little more positively. He questions the buttons on Michelle’s vest and tells her it looks better without them. Tim tells Patricia she has a lot of work left to do as usual. He tells them they should be pleased but they need to ramp it up.
The designers have until 1 a.m; Layana asks Stanley (from the other team) for advice because she doesn’t think Richard has helped her much with the menswear construction. The models (dancers) show up for their fittings and some of the designers feel a little awkward around such buff men. Amanda thinks her group has a bunch of bad listeners. Michelle is a little concerned about Patricia and her one shirt getting finished, but her team is not too worried when they look at the other team and see they have almost nothing accomplished.
It’s the day of the runway show and there is still a lot of work left to do for some of the designers. Michelle says if their team is on the bottom, Patricia is going because she has done the least amount of work on her team. Patricia feels bad because she can’t help out her teammates. She’s still working on her darned shirt. The models come in. Daniel is concerned about Michelle’s vest looking like it belongs in the Lollipop Guild. Layana is having fitting problems so she’s in trouble but she finds time to flirt with one of the guys. Richard is in a total panic while sewing collars on at the last minute. Tim announces 10 minutes left and most of the designers aren’t satisfied with their finished looks. Michelle messes up Stanley’s shirt by trying to use hot glue instead of Velcro. Samantha’s final look pants are too tight and too short. Nobody is happy when they go off to the runway. It’s not looking good for a few if not most of them. In all fairness, I think this was a pretty difficult challenge.
Most of the costumes are going to be business suit type looks so I’m not going to go into too much detail about them while they are walking the runway. I think the winners and losers will come down to the construction, fit, and how well they “tear off” the models. Here goes. Team Slick and Hip is up first. Richard and Samantha’s look is first. Samantha thinks it looks like clown wear. Richard and Amanda’s look comes next and Richard calls it unsalvageable. Their third look is ridiculous and Layana can’t help but laugh at it. After the three models walk the runway, they do a dance routine. They have no problems shedding their clothes and the tear-away pants come off easily. The judges get really distracted for a minute.
Team Shades of Grey is up next. The first model is wearing Daniel’s trench coat with Patricia’s shirt underneath which you can’t even see. Stanley’s not totally happy with his look, but at least it’s better than the other team. Michelle thinks her vest is too short, but again, she thinks it’s better than the other teams’ clothes. The three models do their routine and one of the guys can’t get his shirt off. One of the other models can’t get his pants off. The dance routine is a disaster.
So one team has better looks (barely), but their clothes aren’t tear-away. One team’s clothes look terrible, but at least they tear-away correctly.
Heidi says she’s very disappointed in them all and calls them “bad designers” for this challenge. She thinks they should wrap the show early and they should all be out. Slick and Hip is declared the losing team. That means Shades of Grey is the winning team by default.
Heidi asks Shades of Gray for an explanation. They needed to make more interesting clothes. Heidi thinks Patricia’s shirt looks like a pot holder. Nina wants to know why they weren’t more creative. Zac says it’s the weirdest office look he’s ever seen. Nina thinks the trench coat looks like a beauty smock and she doesn’t want to say more. Nina thinks Michelle’s is the most palatable of the three. The client likes it too and would use the hanky Michelle added to it. Stanley’s client likes how flexible the pants fit him because they are easy to work in. Emily thinks Michelle’s client looks like he works at a gas station. Zac thinks Stanley’s shirt is terrifying. Heidi says she really couldn’t wait until the guys took their clothes off because they are so bad. The only positive Heidi can give Shades of Grey is that the other team is worse than they are.
Now it’s time for Slick and Hip. Zac asks Samantha what’s wrong and she tells them it was really hard doing menswear. Even Richard hasn’t done menswear before. The judges gasp when they find out Layana made the horrible fitting jacket. Nina cannot stop laughing hysterically. The models aren’t really embarrassed because they think the designers were really rushed. Heidi thinks Samantha’s outfit is the best of the three. Emmy likes Samantha’s model’s look the best. Heidi tells the three dancers she feels bad that they had to wear those horrible clothes. Heidi asks each designer who from their team should go. Samantha says Amanda. Richard says Amanda. Amanda says Richard and when she tries to explain that Richard wouldn’t listen, Richard says it’s bullshit because he didn’t get support from Layana or Amanda. Layana takes up for herself and says Richard is way over the top and they needed to reel him in some. Richard and Layana get into it and she says Richard is just making excuses.
Richard lays into Amanda after they leave the stage and she starts crying and apologizes to him. He tells her it’s OK and that she had to defend herself on the runway. While the judges discuss Slick and Hip, Nina says she even hates the name of the team. They hated Layana’s jacket and the way it fit. They didn’t like the length of any of Richard’s shirts. Nina says she thinks all the women ganged up on Richard and expected him to be able to tailor when none of them could. I think it’s either going to be Richard or Amanda going home. Heidi thinks maybe both of them should go.
As for Shades of Grey, Michelle’s didn’t fit into the office theme, but Emmy liked the way she made her look. Daniel’s overcoat looked like a flasher and Nina said it was “hiding the thunder” while laughing. The question is should any of them be declared a winner for this challenge? If they have one, I think it may be Michelle or Daniel because Zac said the trench coat would have been OK with a belt.
The judges’ decision is a Project Runway first. They declare there is no winner for this challenge. As for the losing team, Samantha and Layana are safe. That leaves Richard and Amanda. Heidi tells them both it was a very hard decision about who to send home. Amanda is out. Heidi tells Richard he’s in, but very, very barely.
I’m feel the same as Heidi, totally let down. What should have been a fun and exciting challenge turned out to be so blah and very disappointing. Next week the tempers start to fly.
