Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Finale by BB
This is it. The final episode of RHOBH Season 3. I have my box of Kleenex at the ready. We resume where we left off last week, at Lisa and Ken’s housewarming and vow renewal party.
David has to make an early exit after he greets his ex-wife Linda at Yolanda’s encouraging. Kyle and Kim are trying to figure out what’s going on with the big heart of flowers (a wedding?), while Pandy and Jason are having a romantic moment looking at the view.
Brandi informs Lisa about Faye accusing her of ruining Adrienne and Paul’s marriage. Jennifer pulls Marissa over to finish her conversation with Brandi. Yolanda and Lisa are also there. Brandi says she wasn’t joking with the hall pass comment and admits she doesn’t give the best advice, but she was really getting tired of Marissa throwing her husband under the bus and saying he wasn’t her type and she lusted after other men. Brandi figured maybe a break would do them good and make her appreciate what she has. Lisa doesn’t want to hear that crap at her party. Again, Marissa says she only says what a lot of other people are thinking. That line is getting really old. Yolanda tells her not to throw her friends under the bus if she wants to keep their trust. Marissa tells them what Faye said about Brandi sleeping with any married man.
The women notice Fay and Lisa having a conversation. Faye accuses Lisa of using Brandi to get even with people and getting her all worked up. Lisa tells Fay Brandi has her own issues with Adrienne. Lisa tells Faye she’s insulted by saying she gets Brandi to speak for her. Faye says she’s not insulting Lisa. Well, if Lisa feels insulted, then Fay IS insulting her. The bathroom incident comes up and Lisa tells Faye Brandi was only kissing the guy. Faye mentions chess playing and Lisa realizes Fay and Kyle have been talking. She knows where all this is coming from now, Kyle and Adrienne. Checkmate bitch. If she wasn’t Kyle’s friend she would be kicked out of the party. Lisa accuses Faye of being Kyle’s mouthpiece plenty of times.
Yolanda, Brandi, Marissa and Jennifer go over. In usual Kyle fashion, she doesn’t want to get involved because we all know she innocent in all of this. Lisa tells the others that Faye is accusing her of using Brandi to fight her battles. Yolanda tells Faye she fights everyone’s battles, Adrienne and Kyle, so what’s her point? Faye brings up Brandi and the guy in the bathroom at the White party thing again. Yolanda tells Faye she didn’t see it herself and she’s only going on hearsay. Fay tells Brandi what she did in Portia’s bathroom was inappropriate and she’s a mom and whatever. Brandi says it was 1:00 a.m. and Portia was asleep. The Morally Corrupt Faye is suddenly chief of the morality police. How ironic.
All of a sudden Faye says she is being attacked by everyone and she is bored with the whole thing. Kyle tries to intervene between Brandi and Faye and Lisa interrupts Kyle to tell her she’s also been insulted by Faye. Kyle brushes Lisa off and only wants to talk about Brandi and Faye not getting along. Brandi tells Faye she doesn’t know her and wonders why Faye is obsessed with her. Finally, Faye leaves the group. Yolanda tells Kyle that everything Faye has said that night has been extremely uncalled for and below the belt. Kyle starts to try to justify Faye’s actions.
Brandi asks Kyle whose battles Faye’s been fighting. Like why does Faye keep bringing up game night when she wasn’t even there? Brandi tells Kyle Faye must think about her a lot since she seems to know all about her. Brandi tells the Richard sisters she’s OK with them and she has no issues with any of them, even Taylor. Brandi just has a problem with Faye (and Adrienne of course).
While Kyle is trying to explain Faye’s actions to Dwight, Kim starts going off about how she was hurt FIRST by Brandi, not Adrienne and Kyle is not giving that enough weight. Kyle tries to explain to Kim that she’s talking about Faye and Adrienne right now, in addition to what Brandi did to Kim. Kim’s takes offense at the fact that Kyle calls what Brandi did to her “in addition to” like what she did to Adrienne is more important. Kim has a big, big problem that’s not going to be fixed by being on a reality show. Kim is having another meltdown about game night. Brandi destroyed Kim’s life? It almost killed her? Could this party get any worse?
Well, it does. Adrienne arrives with a red nose and eyes. You would think it’s the end of Kyle and Kim’s marriages the way they are carrying on about it. Oh my, the waterworks. For some reason, I’m not reaching for the Kleenex. Here comes Mauricio, Camille and Wendy to join in consoling Adrienne. Mo sees a real estate commission in the future and wants to make sure he’s in Adrienne’s corner.
Adrienne seems to be more worried about being separated from her children than Paul. Paul is the one who served the separation papers. Ken is shocked that Adrienne showed up to the party and didn’t even acknowledge the hosts or apologize for arriving so late. She just went to a separate room so she could be consoled by everyone.
Yolanda and Marissa have a side discussion about how Adrienne has been on her high horse and how she would rally around her if she didn’t try to instigate fights. Marissa takes up for Adrienne a little because of what happened between her and Brandi. Yolanda says that’s her and Brandi, not the entire group. Yolanda thinks it’s a little late to show up after three months of separating herself from the group. It’s not appropriate for her to show up at a party the day she becomes separated from her husband.
Adrienne asks Kyle to explain to Lisa why she had to leave. Adrienne thinks it’s cold of Lisa not to come over to tell her how sorry she is about what happened. Adrienne leaves the party and gets walked out by her little support group (Mauricio, Kim, Camille, Wendy, and Kyle).
Kyle comes over to tell Lisa Adrienne wanted to support her but she’s too upset to participate. Lisa tells Kyle she didn’t want to interrupt their conversation. They talk about what filing for legal separation in California means. Yolanda thinks that the day you’re served with separation papers is a good day to stay home and do some reflection. Adrienne has done what she set out to do, put a real damper on what should have been a happy day for Lisa and Ken. Whether it was a Bravo production move or not, that is one order I would not have followed had I been Adrienne. She seems to not have had any problem telling Bravo no at other times. She’s a conniving person.
The group discusses Adrienne and Paul and pre-nups and who would get what and how long they’ve been married. Taylor thinks maybe Paul has lost his mind since the last time she saw him he was a tree. Someone asks what Adrienne was and Lisa says she was a bush and laughs. Kyle doesn’t think it’s funny but Kim thinks it’s hilarious.
Brandi finds Lisa alone in her bedroom. Lisa’s not happy about how her party has turned into a crying and screaming fest and doesn’t feel right renewing her vows after what’s happened. Brandi tells Lisa it’s a beautiful party and it’s about her and Ken. She tells Lisa if she doesn’t do it she will. She tells Lisa she’s going to go down there and make out with her boyfriend and reminds Lisa how lucky she is to have Ken. She tells Lisa to do it because she can’t. She kids with Lisa that Ken is going to die soon so she needs to go down there and do it for him. Brandi tells Lisa she loves her. Lisa says “I love you too, but don’t tell Kyle.”
Father Greg shows up and asks Lisa and Ken to join him on the platform. Ken is holding Giggy. Father Greg makes a nice moving speech about their 30 years together. Ken tells Lisa what is in his heart. He says what he said 30 years ago still stands. He will obey her. He passes Giggy to Lisa and reads a prepared speech. What he says makes me go for the Kleenex box. Lisa also reads some heartfelt words she wrote for Ken. Lisa and Ken then ask Brandi if she also wants to say I do. She says she’s too busy crying. They then thank all the party attendees for coming. Time to cut the cake.
Lisa – After renewing her wedding vows … Lisa has replaced Ken with a man who has a better hip: Gleb, her partner on DWTS.
Taylor – Taylor is “madly in love” with her attorney friend . . . who isn’t quite divorced yet.
Kyle – Kyle’s store is thriving. Though it’s right down the street from Lisa restaurant . . . they don’t do lunch.
Brandi – Brandi had a big 40th birthday party at SUR. Paul was welcomed . . . Adrienne was not invited.
Kim – Kim and Kyle appeared in a celebrity diving show. It brought them closer than they’ve been in years. As a team, they came in last.
Yolanda – Yolanda is receiving treatment and getting stronger after being diagnosed with Lyme disease. It did not come from her lemon trees.
Adrienne – Adrienne and Paul have both moved on. He’s dating a former Miss Nevada, 27. She’s dating Rod Stewart’s son, 32.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Part 1
The seating arrangements. To Andy’s direct left are Lisa, Kim and then Taylor. To Andy’s direct right are Kyle, Brandi, and then Yolanda. Andy announces that during the season, Adrienne refused to speak directly about the “secret” Brandi spilled and will not be there to tell her side of the story. She also won’t be on the show next season. Her final act is not showing up. Reaction. They are all surprised Adrienne is not there and won’t be back but, at the same time they all seem to agree Adrienne didn’t handle things well.
Kyle thinks it sad and even if they had their differences, it’s sad she’s not coming back because they did have kind of a sisterhood.
Lisa says if you sign up to be on a reality show, you can’t all of a sudden be litigious when things are revealed about your life.
Andy asks if Adrienne will be missed. Brandi says no. Kim says yes but she caused problems for all of them. Kyle says she didn’t handle things properly. Yolanda says if you have a job, you have to show up.
Lisa doesn’t believe Adrienne wanted to quit the show no matter what she says in the tabloids. She made mistakes. Brandi says she looks guilty by now showing up.
Flashback to all of Brandi’s conflicts with Adrienne and Paul. Brandi explains what started it all. When she didn’t get onboard with what Adrienne wanted her to do, they started selling stories to Radar Online about her. Kim never expected Adrienne and Paul to react the way they did when she told them what Brandi had said.
Kim brings up the fact that her situation was similar to Adrienne’s in that she was trying to hide her substance abuse problems. Brandi then says Adrienne should have shut her big fat mouth. Adrienne started it all. Brandi says she will cut a bitch if they start messing with her. Kyle agrees with Brandi that she would probably act the same way if it happened to her. Paul called and apologized to Brandi after Bernie started putting stories out about Paul. He told Brandi he didn’t realize what was going on and Brandi hopes that’s true.
Brandi’s friend Geneva is the one who got the letter from Adrienne’s lawyer. The letter contained Brandi’s name, which prompted Geneva’s lawyer to call Brandi’s lawyer about it. It all resulted in Brandi having to shell out 10K to clear it all up.
A caller asks if it’s possible Brandi’s the problem?
Anything’s possible Andy, says Brandi. They all laugh.
Andy then shows the lighter side of the season where all the women were having fun and getting along. What were their favorite moments? Kyle says the night in Ojai. Kyle literally wet herself she laughed so hard that night. .
A caller wants to know why Yolanda didn’t cut loose at Ojai. Yolanda says that her Dutch background makes her appear cold, but she’s really a softie. Cut to Yolanda in her home and her relationship with David. Yolanda didn’t quite understand the dynamic with the women at first and some of the women thought she was a little snobbish. Yolanda says she really didn’t know anyone at first except for Lisa. Lisa says she didn’t talk much to Yolanda about the women because she didn’t want to poison Yolanda’s mind with her opinions and knew Yolanda would form her own opinions.
Yolanda says the women didn’t really make an effort to get to know her. Kyle says Yolanda didn’t make an effort either. Yolanda points out that she was the outsider, not the women, so they should have made more of an effort to reach out to her off camera. Kyle points out that she was never asked to Yolanda’s other than when they were filming. Brandi was and says maybe there was a reason for that.
Kyle says she definitely made an effort to get to know Yolanda but Yolanda doesn’t remember it that way until towards the end of the season. Kyle says she invited Yolanda to several events at her home but Yolanda couldn’t make it. Yolanda says that couldn’t be helped.
Another caller asks about her daughter GiGi and the lesbian comment Yolanda made about the way she dressed. Yolanda says that came out so silly and so wrong. Whatever their choice is OK with her. Andy says not a choice. Yolanda says that’s debatable and she’ll be glad to discuss that with him another time. They also talk about why she told the foreign workers they needed to learn English. Yolanda says she went through that herself and she made and effort to learn it because it’s the language of where she was living. She and Davis absolutely have a pre-nup. Not everyone can have 30 years together like Ken and Lisa.
Yolanda regrets not watching the show before she was on it. Kim says she was excited to meet Yolanda and got a very good vibe from her. They discuss Kim being a no-show for the master cleanse at Yolanda’s house. Kim swears there were no plans for her to come to her home to discuss it. Yolanda clarifies that they called each other and never connected after Ojai, but that plans were made through the production staff.
Yolanda and Taylor discuss their differences. Taylor apologizes for her attitude and Yolanda says she gets it when Taylor explains where she was in her life at the time. This discussion segues into Taylor’s alleged problem with drinking. Andy asks if she thinks she was drinking too much during the filming of the show. She says yes but she doesn’t have a drinking problem now. She was completely overwhelmed. Kim starts crying about being scared for Taylor and tells her she’s still frightened for her. She’s upset that Taylor trashed her in her blog. Taylor explains that Lisa talks to her about her drinking off camera. Kim says she does too, but Taylor disagrees. They talk about the mix up with Kennedy’s whereabouts when Taylor left for the weekend with her boyfriend. Brandi chastises Kyle for talking about it in front of everyone at the party.
Taylor announces she’s dating and in love with her married lawyer who is in a protracted divorce. It bothers Brandi because she feels for his wife and kids and thinks you should be divorced before moving on. Yolanda says that’s not quite fair because some divorces can take three or four years and are you not supposed to date during that time? There is a discussion about what point they became involved and whether he was really separated from his wife. Taylor says they had been living apart for several years and nobody disputes it although I don’t think Brandi believes it.
Andy asks Brandi how she reacted to the rumor going around that Leann was joining the show. She says Leann would be a big hypocrite if she did it because she pretty has pretty much dissed the show, but the show has done so much for Brandi, she says bring it on. Andy asks if the women would like to meet Adrienne’s replacement. Their eyes get all big and Andy then says he’s just kidding.
Lisa and Kyle’s relationship is the next topic up for discussion. Flashbacks of their arguments and discussions about their friendship this past season. Andy asks Lisa if part of her issue was Kyle speaking up for Adrienne and this was all of a sudden because she was never close to her before. Lisa tells Kyle her relationship with Adrienne was a business relationship only. Ken and Lisa feel their relationship with them changed after they sold her house and Mauricio was their listing agent. Lisa asks when she ever hears from Kyle. Lisa also asks if Kyle is ever in contact with Adrienne now and she admits that they are not that close. Kyle admits she hasn’t tried to contact Lisa recently. Lisa and Brandi argue but Brandi says she doesn’t talk about Lisa behind her back. Kyle says maybe she’s a bad person but she talks to her friends when she’s upset. Kyle still wishes things could get better. Lisa still feels for Kyle but their friendship needs to be built back slowly and trust is an issue. Kyle says she’s tried hard. Brandi thinks Kyle is jealous of her and Lisa’s relationship.
Yolanda chimes in and says something about Kyle attacking Brandi in the past and using something catty she said about Brandi’s plastic surgery as an example. Kyle jumps in and asks Yolanda to explain what she said about Lisa in Paris. Yolanda doesn’t know what Kyle is talking about. Kyle says Yolanda called Lisa a phony and a fake and she was only pretending to care about Kim and that Lisa is full of shit. Yolanda denies it. Kyle says Yolanda said it at the airport. Yolanda calls Kyle a liar and Kyle calls Yolanda a liar. Kim and Yolanda then get into it. Kim says she remembers that Yolanda told her Lisa was talking about Kim behind her back. Does Lisa believe that Yolanda said Lisa is full of shit? Lisa says she doesn’t believe it.
Dancing with the Stars Week Two by Lisette
Ingo & Kym – Quickstep – Score 20
CAI – 6
LG – 7
BT – 7
Ingo & Kym performed a nice quickstep to get the show going. It was nice and light and a good start to tonight. A few missteps. Carrie Ann doesn’t agree with the other two judges w/regards to Ingo’s frame. Bickering ensues. I love seeing Len get into a tizzy.
Dorothy & Tristan – Jive – Score 15
CAI – 5
LG – 5
BT – 5
Dorothy has an injury so she’s not able to practice as much as she could have. The jive is a little wobbly but a good effort. They have one misstep where it looked like she was almost going to drop but Tristan was able to pick her up. The audience loves her. The judges applaud her effort but admit it was lacking. Len gets first boos of the night. Dorothy chokes up stating she feels she’s letting Tristan down. Everyone awwws.
Jacoby & Karina – Jazz – Score 23
CAI – 8
LG – 7
BT – 8
In the week recap Jacoby goofs around too much so Karina brings in a team of little dancer girls to help it out. Really cute. The Jazz was a highlight. I had a smile on my face for the whole dance. Jacoby is a character and Karina choreographed some amazing steps to play up his strengths. For a tall man he has some moves. And there were lifts. Always a crowd pleaser. The audience was on their feet for most of the dance. Carrie Ann tells us what the judges will look for in a jazz and then she breaks out the praise for Jacoby. Len loved it and calls it great entertainment. Bruno is Bruno.
Victor & Lindsay – Jive – Score 18
CAI – 6
LG – 6
BT – 6
In the week recap Victor is already showing fatigue but Lindsay reels that in. I like her. She’s feisty! Unfortunately, the dance is a bit of a hot mess. Victor has the energy but he is missing a lot of the steps and his steps are visibly off. Len called it scruffy. Boos again…LOL! Bruno compared it to a Zumba dance and mentioned the bum, of course. Carrie Ann liked the energy but admits his footwork was off. The audience lightly booed the scores.
Wynona & Tony – Quickstep – Score 18
CAI – 6
LG – 6
BT – 6
A very good effort from Wynona. Most inventive costumes of the night, sparkly mall cops! She was a little stiff in the beginning but then seemed to start enjoying herself. The quickstep is a very hard dance. Carrie Ann wants her to take some risks, Bruno said she started great but then slowed down and Len was not impressed with the dance technicality itself but thought it was entertaining. He must love getting booed cause he’s getting it all night!
(Jacoby is in the lead for the twitter encore dance)
Zendaya & Val – Jive – Score 26
CAI – 9
LG – 8
BT – 9
Ah-ma-zing! This girl is the definite ringer this season! She’s great! Hands down best dance of the night! Everyone is on their feet. Carrie Ann almost falls out of her chair, Len is predicting no elimination for her and Bruno out of his chair trying to curtail the sexual innuendos for the underage teenager. Tom had to cut Bruno off. I love Tom, he really keeps things moving so smoothly.
Andy & Sharna – Jazz – Score 20
CAI – 7
LG – 6
BT – 7
Andy is showing a really nice and quirky personality. Its a nice departure from Trainwreck Andy. Uh oh, its an Alice in Wonderland Jazz set to Poker Face by Lady Gaga. Very interesting. I’m not sure it was jazz per se. Andy was good dancing whatever it was! The judges are cracking up! Len said it was fun to watch, Bruno loved it (no surprise there!) and Carrie Ann said it was wacko demented and he nailed it. This is why I’m not a judge. I didn’t see jazz at all…LOL!
Sean & Peta – Jive – Score 20
CAI – 7
LG – 6
BT – 7
(Confession, I don’t like the bachelor series and this guy gives me the skeevies) Bruno loves Sean and he’s out of his chair again. It was a lifeguard themed jive and Bruno wants Sean to save him! He said it was a bit more lindy hop than jive. Carrie Ann likes it but he needs to work on musicality. Len didn’t see a jive and is not here to judge musical theater. Audience member yelled out why are you so cranky Len! LOL!
(Pan out to audience members from Splash, Louie Anderson and Katherine Webb. Two things come to mind, 1. Why is Splash a thing?, 2. Why is Katherine Webb a thing? She’s giving the camera her best Gina Gershon and well Gina does it better)
Alexandra & Mark – Quickstep – Score 24
CAI – 8
LG – 8
BT – 8
It was a good quickstep. Carrie Ann says best of the night. I liked Jacoby’s better (don’t kill me). Len had a few criticisms but said it was terrific. Ah Bruno! He liked it and also had some technical comments. I like Aly (excuse me Alexandra). I know she will be much improved when she just lets herself go with it and have fun. Mark will for sure lead her to the final three at least. Her parents weren’t in the audience, or they didn’t pan to them. They showed so much enthusiasm during the Olympics its missed in the DWTS audience.
Lisa & Gleb – Jive – Score 18
CAI – 6
LG – 6
BT – 6
(Confession, Lisa is my fave) Lisa is a fan favorite getting loud cheers before she even dances! Wonder if all of her costumes will be pink? Gleb is hot! The dance was messy but a good effort. Brandi is in the audience! Len called it wooden (I have to agree…sigh) but also neat and precise. Bruno, says she’s not used to commercial flights (theme was air hostess and pilot). Carrie Ann called out lifts as she’s wont to do. And offered some technical quips as well. Brandi is yelling from audience We love you Lisa! And I do too! She’s gets my votes.
D.L. & Cheryl – Quickstep – Score16
CAI – 5
LG – 5
BT – 6
D.L. is having problems during practice. He’s giving Cheryl a very hard time. I hate when they show these types of montages. I don’t like it when the stars take it out on the pros. They make up and audience starts cheering. Audience gets on feet for support! A much improved and enjoyable quickstep! He was not bad. Hopefully no 4 paddles tonight! Bruno said good job. Carrie Ann says he’s on the right track. Len likes that he improved and said that’s what counts. D.L. makes a Whitney & Bobby joke to the BrookBot…so wrong but funny.
Kellie & Derek – Jazz – Score 26
CAI – 9
LG – 8
BT – 9
Kellie is really good in practice. I like her lines. This was a really great dance! Derek explained it as a contempory jazz not broadway jazz and that makes sense. Standing ovation from the audience and Carrie Ann. Carrie Ann is going nuts! Len like it as well. And Bruno is out of his seat! I agree with all he’s saying. It was a really good dance. Best jazz for sure! Kellie is adorable! I love that accent and I have a soft spot for her since she shaved her head in solidarity with a friend going through chemo.
Well that’s all folks! I hope you enjoyed my recap. I never knew how hard it was to do this so big props to NMD and all the other recappers on the blog!
Observations from WWHL by BB
Guests: Dr. V from La Shrinks and Kyle Richards. It’s appropriate she’s wearing all black. She should be in mourning after the way she came off in the BH finale and part one of reunion. The pants are kind of weird with the sparkly stripe going down the front. I’m sure they are from Kyle’s store.
- Andy starts off by saying “Adrienne Mahoof?”
- Nicky Hilton is the bartender. She is there under duress.
- Nicky told Kyle she might want to lose the Chanel gloves she was wearing before the show.
- Kyle was shocked and sad to hear Adrienne was not coming back. You could hear a pin drop when Andy announced the new housewife was there at the reunion and the women thought she was coming out.
- In a preview of next week’s reunion, Brandi says she feels almost as if Kyle wants Kim to fail in her sobriety. I believe this is when Kyle says “That’s the meanest thing you could say.”
- Kyle says she was in a very difficult position at the renewal party. She says the Faye on the show is not the Faye she and her family have known for 20 some years. So why isn’t Faye her true self on the show, I’d like to know?
- Dr. V. says Kyle tries so hard to avoid the conflict that she ends up creating it and it also comes off as a lack of loyalty.
- Kyle was shocked when Lisa took Yolanda’s side at the reunion because she says Lisa knows the truth about what was said behind her back.
- Dr. V. tells Kyle she needs to flat out ask Lisa what needs to be done to repair their relationship. Kyle says she kind of feels like she has, but Dr. V. doesn’t totally agree with her.
- How surreal is for Nicky to watch her aunts. She will not lie and say she was happy for Kim and Kyle to be on the show, but says it’s turned out to be fun.
- It’s so funny that Dr. V is getting more caller questions than Kyle.
- Kyle’s pants are from her store but she doesn’t say who made them. Dr. V. loves Kyle’s store and goes there twice a week.
- Caller wants to know how she can handle Brandi being such a bitch and why don’t they kick her off the show. Kyle has gotten to know Brandi much better and they are getting along very well now. Kyle thinks Brandi is good for the show. Dr. V. needs more information about Brandi before she has an opinion about her. I kind of like Dr. V.
- OMG. Kyle put her bare foot up to her arm to show that your foot size is equal to the distance from your elbow to your wrist.
- Dr. V. offers to do a joint session with Kim and Kyle and Nicky is shaking her head yes.
We’ve got some volunteers for much of the list. Just a few more shows…
- Dance Moms
- Kandi Factory
- Don’t be Tardy
