Part Two of the Season Five Atlanta Housewives Reunion

Round 2 is on. Let’s get ready to rumble!  Andy pointed at that Nene has been on the show the longest and she has sat back & enjoyed the other women fighting this season.  Nene was glad she wasn’t part of the fighting and a few times she wanted to pull Kenya back to let her see reason.  She wished someone did that with her but instead people pushed her.  Andy asks why she welcomed Porsha and Kenya immediately to the show but she didn’t do that with Kandi or the lawyer.  Nene told Cynthia to keep it real and figure it out for herself.  When Kandi came on the show, Kim did not have any friends on the show so she grabbed onto Kandi and Nene felt Kandi chose Kim’s side.   Kandi thinks it is all in Nene’s head that people chooses sides.  This season Kim and Sheree are not on the show so she welcomed the new girls with open arms.

Andy points out that Nene got her happy back. Last season she divorced Gregg and was not happy.  What a difference a year makes.  We see flashbacks of Gregg and Nene putting a cradle together for their “glam-baby,” Gregg’s poems and the proposal.  Nene tells Andy that Gregg was always the provider and because of Nene’s success, the shoe was on the other foot.  After the divorce, Gregg realized that the grass was not always greener so he started to pursue Nene.  Nene also felt the negative comments and made up stories from “other sources” meaning the lawyer, also put a strain on their relationship.  Nene accused the lawyer of seeking out Marlo to be on the show because there may be a possible issue with Nene allegedly dating Marlo’s ex Charles Grant.  Nene took issue with the other ladies gossiping about Nene flirting and having a thing with Peter which bothered Cynthia.  Andy said it seemed to him that Nene had a playful above board relationship with Peter and Nene said it wasn’t a fun thing to be accused of something with Peter. I think it was hard for Nene to bring her point home that the lawyer was taking her harmless fun flirtation with Peter and making it out to be something nasty without sounding like it was all in her head. Nene pointed out the lawyer being mad at Kenya and Apollo for flirting in Anguilla.  Kenya says she thinks the lawyer is the queen of low down dirty and the lawyer calls Kenya an obsessed fan.  Then Kenya says “mirror mirror on the wall, who is the shadiest of them all” and whips out her fan.

The lawyer is up next showing scenes of tongue kissing Apollo and Andy asks if she was overcompensating because there was news in the gossip blogs that Apollo and the lawyer were getting a divorce.  The lawyer says her husband likes to kiss that way.  Andy asks if one of the perils of having a donkey booty is butt-dialing people.  He is referring to the conversation that Cynthia caught on her cell phone about the lawyer being mad at Cynthia not coming to Aidan’s party.  The lawyer said she had a party for her son and it didn’t matter if anyone came to her party.  The important thing was for her and Apollo to show up.  Cynthia felt she was a little hurt because the ladies don’t always support each other at each other’s events so she didn’t mind nailing her to the cross with the taped conversation.  Andy pointed out the hypocrisy that the lawyer calls herself a southern belle yet curses.  The lawyer says she has a broad vocabulary but she feels that if people push her, such as the lovely Miss Kenya, she will use some curse words. She then throws shade at Kenya that people will not ask for an interview with Kenya unless she talks about the lawyer.  Andy then asks the lawyer why she throws so much shade behind everyone’s back but when she is confronted by it she pussyfoots around the issue.  The lawyer asks who she throws shade at and Kenya volunteers happily.  The lawyer repeats that Kenya is obsessive.  Andy then turns to Nene and asks if she feels the lawyer has thrown shade and she said yes she is low down and dirty.  Nene accused the lawyer of sitting with her half sisters to dig up dirt on her and invited them to Aidan’s first birthday party.  The lawyer said Nene’s brother dated the lawyer’s cousin.  Nene felt there was no real reason for her to do that but to bring her down.  Nene’s half sister came to her with that information and the lawyer denied she did anything.

Andy asks the lawyer if there was intent to harm Nene.  The lawyer said she wasn’t hanging out with Nene’s half sisters but she did know them. Nene said that wasn’t true so the lawyer said call them up and Nene said ok.  Now Kim with her big ass wig was also involved because she was at the birthday party.  The lawyer accused Nene that it was all in her head that everyone is conniving against her.  The lawyer admitted that Nene’s half sisters were at the first birthday party and they came to the lawyer. Nene accused the lawyer of trying to put a bug in their ears to come on the show and the sisters came to Nene to tell her what the lawyer said.  Kenya says “she’s in my dressing room now.” I don’t know who “she” is.  Then the lawyer said to Twirl that she is not in this conversation and that she owes her a back end because the only way she gets interviews was to talk about the lawyer.  The thing with Nene’s sisters happened two years ago.  The lawyer said she knew Nene from Athens and was hurt by her when Nene said she didn’t know her.  Nene said they met at a Christmas party but never contacted each other ever since.  Andy thinks the definition of the word “know” is coming into question.  The lawyer said she sufficiently apologized two years ago then she apologized again.  Nene asked her for an apology, she got it and now they can move on.

Andy feels they’ve beaten this donkey bootie to death so now it is time for Kim’s entrance. Kim is wearing her real hair so Andy has to rip up the cards with wig questions for her.  The last time Kim spoke to anyone was at the brunch before the Anguilla trip.  Andy brings up the lawsuit, how she was served with papers that morning and how awkward it must be.  Now they show scenes of Kim leaving early, giving her excuses why she can’t show up and leaving early again at the brunch.  Kim said she never confirmed Anguilla and Andy brings up that production did confirm the dates and Nene said she confirmed the dates.  Kim said she was 28 weeks and didn’t want to deliver her son in another country but the US in an emergency.  Nene said she always has her moment arguing with Kim and the rest of the girls should talk.  Andy felt that Kim had no interest in shooting with these women.  Kim’s excuses were her problem pregnancy, Kroy and moving back to the townhouse.  Cynthia felt she was not being respected when they changed their dates to accommodate Kim.  The lawyer points out that she worked every day when she was pregnant, not just on the show but as a lawyer and the cameras went with her to the hospital.  Andy said Kroy was outside of the restaurant waiting to drive Kim away at the brunch.  They show Kroy standing off stage at the reunion.  Kandi mentions that Kim kept complaining that she had to leave early while everyone stayed to film.  Kim accused Kandi of being late many times and Kandi threw it back at her.  Kim then says no one is raising her babies but her and Kandi is incredulous because she knows Kim has a nanny.  Kandi felt everyone was held to a different standard than Kim.  Kim then points out the issue that Nene was able to fly to Vegas and everyone else had to take the bus.  Kandi feels that Kim should not relate the two things because everyone knew Nene had to work that morning and the bus was taking too long stuck in traffic.

Andy said Kim looks like season one Kim and looking younger.  Andy wanted to touch Kim’s hair and thanked her for wearing her real hair.  What a treat for Andy!  I think Kim should wear her real hair more often.  She looks ridiculous with a wig.

Andy says after Kim exited during the brunch, the ladies came together and they show scenes of ripping on Kim with Nene making up a “no excuses” song.  Nene felt Kim was gone from the show once she walked out on the brunch.  Cynthia said she felt relief because Kim didn’t want to be there so she walked out and got her priorities in order.  Now the scenes of Kim having problems with buying the house and moving out of the house are being shown.  Who else can make this much drama about moving out of the house but Kim.  Kim says she is currently building a house and they will move in this summer.  Okay we’ll see.  Kim said Sweetie was telling her that the neighborhood Kandi moved to was really bad and to lock her car doors.  Kandi was wondering after watching the scene if she should be offended.  Andy then turns to Nene and asks about the times Nene felt Kim was racist.  Nene says it is either racist or ignorance because she says things that she knows nothing about.  Kim feels that being on the show with African American women that certain things she says can be magnified a million times and she doesn’t see color.  Now Andy wants to address Kim naming her baby Kash after Kandi mentioned it.  Kim tells Kandi that the name was going to be Kash from the beginning.  The beginning of what?  Her pregnancy? Kandi felt Kim after being told that she wanted to name her baby Kash would say she was going to name her baby Kash too.  Andy said Kroy was like a bailiff as he walks up to Kim to hand her paperwork so Kim can show that she put Kash’s name on April 14th into an LLC and an email on March 22nd telling the decorator how she wants to decorate Kash’s wall.  Kandi felt it was one heck of a coincidence.  Kim says when she left she had no friends left on the show.  Kim felt her friendship with Kandi dissolved and Kim isn’t a good communicator.  Kandi felt she never worked out the business between them which led to the dissolution of the friendship.

Then Andy asks Kim if she could redo anything what would she redo.  Kim said she would redo her communication with everyone.  She felt she was swept up in the mayhem doing the show and it was a great ride.  Andy asks if Nene and Kim would ever be friends again.  Nene says they were in two different places in their lives.  Kim agrees and feels that she would definitely sit down and have a glass of wine with Nene.  They both give each other a hug.  I think they are genuinely happy for each other and where they are in their lives.  Kim then leaves the stage on a good note.

Married to Medicine – Bad Bad Acting by NoMoreDama

Bravo have you done lost your bloody mind?  Married to Medicine could be the end of the housewife-type franchises.  It’s over the top, bad bad acting wasn’t even worth finishing the show – and I had the blog almost written.  Seriously by Sunday night I’m so brain dead I could probably watch static on the TV without having the energy to change the channel.  But it was so awful I leapt out of my chair and finished my weekend chores.  Who in their right mind approved this garbage?

My apologizes to Dr. Jackie who seems sincere and determined to send positive messages to women.  Dr. Jackie was on call most of the episode (good excuse Dr. Jackie – I’d have missed it too.)

As for the rest of them.  The set up was that Mariah’s sister and mom just happened to be in a beauty salon and heard that Toya had been talking crap about Mariah and her little girl.  Oh no – not the children.  And can you believe it – it was the night of the big birthday party.  Do you think there might be some conflict at the party?????

Meanwhile Kari is upset because she’s throwing a joint party with Mariah, but Mariah hasn’t shown up yet and isn’t answering her phone.  Oh no – do you think there might be some conflict there.

Sure enough they have Mariah stroll in late and with the worst overacting I’ve seen in my life pretend to act like a Diva but then sort of act normal when she didn’t think the cameras were on her.  Take an acting class Mariah and stay in character!  Her mom was worse, and don’t get me started on Toya.  At some pre-arranged point Mariah and Toya moved to the side and pitifully started their physical altercation.  I don’t know what was worse, the bad acting or the idea that they thought the girl-on-girl action would make good TV.  Mariah’s mom managed to slap Toya a few times in the head with her purse.  Kari burst into tears.  We don’t act like this, she whimpers.  There might have been more but this is the point where I switched the channel in disgust.

I really wanted to like this show and give you an upbeat blog because I enjoy chatting on Sunday nights – but it was a total joke.

  1. When the chat blog posts at 7:30 eastern (4:30 blog time) can someone please post the link to it at the bottom of this blog. Thanks!! and Good Morning

  2. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. Its rainy & I have a migraine. Ugh. I hope its sunny where you are & you have a great day.

    • HuskerHuny says:

Hey Powell – take two of your favorite pain reliever (I usually take three), go back to bed and sleep it off. Hope you feel better! No sun here. Highs in the 40s for most of the week.

The reunion part 2 was really quite boring. Kenya tries so hard to put herself into situations that have absolutely nothing to do with her. How ugly was Kim’s dress? I liked the color though. She has no idea on what looks good much less appropriate. I feel so sorry for her daughters. They are either so embarrassed or not smart enough that they should be embarrassed. All of the things that these two girls have been exposed to, I don’t have much hope for them unfortunately!

Merry Monday to all and feel better soon Powell!

      • LaineyLainey says:

Hi HuskerHuny: I would be embarrassed if that were my mom. Her girls don’t seem to be. They are just used to her, I guess. They seem really sweet and well-adjusted and they both seem to worship their momma. They will be feisty, for sure, but I think they will be fine. They seem to have a very loving relationship with their mom and Kroy from what I can tell.

      • Powell says:

Husker I went to bed last night w/it and took my meds and I felt better but in the way to work it started again. I took my meds when u got to work. I’m feeling better. Thks

Part II was boring except for when NeNe read Phaedra & Kim came on making excuses for the excuses.

    • TexasTart says:

Hope you feel better soon, Powell. 🙂

    • LaineyLainey says:

Sorry, Powellypoo – I hope you can have some relief today!

    • AZGirl says:

      Hope you feel better!

    • Sending you Sunny Thoughts and Healing Energy Powell!

  3. jezzibel says:

I vote we strike Married to Medicine from the recap/blog.

  4. Lulu says:

Good Morning!!! I missed the RHOA reunion yesterday. Comcast was having “issues” yet again *sigh!* All I feel like doing this morning is VENTING!!! So I’ll sum it up in one sentence: oil change $40 turned into $600 repair their fault my wallet, Termites! Termites and termites! Ugh!

    • Lulu says:

One more vent while I wrote the previous comment. My sweet sweet sweet DS got ahold of a pen and decided to draw on our black leather ottoman. At least it’s black so it’s not that visible! Another fun day from a REAL housewife!! If only Bravo would get their head’s out of their uknowhats! Film REAL moms!!! not the privileged spoiled creates drama out of boredom one that they ram down our throats! I’d like to see a momma who’s at the end of her rope with a screaming toddler! One that is non-stop running from one place to another, battling unforeseen bills/repairs etc. That is what launched Jon and Kate plus 8 well before the “big bucks” came their way. I don’t care about clothing brands i.e Louis Vuitton? Coach etc. My money is better spent on other things then 1500 on a hand bag?!?!?! I’ll never understand why they just don’t get the hint and create a show about REAL women.

BTW this REAL momma wears target, old navy and new york lerner! No makeup lucky to brush her teeth and comb her hair.

    • Powell says:

I’m sorry Lulu. I hate when $19.95 oil changes turn into $600. I’ve been there. Termites. Ugh is right. I hope the exterminator gets that under control fast. I hope your day gets better and hope you’re feeling good. You’re getting closer. 🙂

    • Lulu says:

I think today is just one of those bad days. My new neighbor being “neighborly” or nosy dropped off a small pan of lasagna. Really sweet of her plan on baking her a pie. But the slice of lasagna turned into INTENSE heartburn. I have a very specific diet due to issues with GERD. I avoid lots of food i.e fried, processed (silent killer) or greasy. Thanks but no thanks! Please don’t bring me food! I just threw out an entire pan of lasagna and feel horrible. Is there a sign I can put on my lawn that says that 😉

Mardrag love the ideas! Maybe we all should band together and put a series of short videos. Show them “fake” housewives what a real housewife is! 🙂 Eat my dust Bravo!

  5. Iowagirl says:

I actually like married to medicine. I don’t think the fight was fake, those girls were going at it big time. I feel sorry for the husbands, my husband would have some papers for me to sign if I acted like that.

    • It reminded me of Jerry Springer – the entire set up to the fight.

    • kit9 says:

Yeah, no way that fight was fake. It was brutal. At one point 3 or 4 grown men couldn’t separate them. For once, the preview didn’t come close to doing it justice. Those women are INsane. Mariah’s mother is a piece of work. Just disgusting.

      • Iowagirl says:

Apple, tree anyone? The mother beating her with her purse, priceless. The fact that four grown men can’t separate those two, CRAZY. It makes drunk Joanna look sane. Can you imagine what Roman would have done to Joanna?

    • Powell says:

I didn’t see it but it reminds me of Big Rich Atlanta on the Style Network. Di you all watch? I was looking at it yesterday. The ladies went to a design house. One of the ladies is an interior designer and thus rival male designer was calling he names, taunting her & one of the other ladies is friends w/the guy. She was condoning what he was doing & one of the other ladies asked her what was her problem, fingers started wagging in faces then the one that asked what her problem was got up in the other lady’s face, the lady called her a “B”, then the lady that got up in the other lady’s face slapped her. The lady that slapped her is a Pastor. It was a hard slap too. These ladies on reality tv can go to far.

      • kendo says:

I actually like watching this show, but I thought that slap was brutal! No way that was fake!
That’s the 2nd assault on this show! I’m surprised they didn’t cut the 1st out with Ashlee having her hair ripped out of her head! Wonder if she will follow thru with the assault charges she filled?

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

Actually the woman called her more than a bitch. She was calling a black woman ‘GIRL’ several times. That angered the pastor lady as the reference was considered racist. She went on to tell her to get her ‘fat ass’ away from her and ended it with BITCH. I don’t think i’ve ever enjoyed a slap as much as that one. Katie, the racist southern belle, thought she could act as disgusting as her gay male counterpart and was surprised when her jaw was almost dislocated. You can ‘ACT’ a fool with many people but it takes just one person to stop you in your tracks. The slap didn’t please the pastor as she was embarassed by her behavior and could be facing charges. BTW notice how DonaldDaFop didn’t dare ‘read’ or attack the pastor? He know who to mess with and knew he’d be wearing his balls for earrings messing with PastorQuikHands. LOL

Also the WivesOnMedicine brawl was VERY REAL! All started by the mother who eendedit with a purse smackdown akin to the Gramde Ruth Buzzie. 😉

        • Powell says:

Hey Amber. Yeah you remember it exactly. I don’t know their names but I kind of like the show. Katie is another fake Southern Belle saying she’s a 4th generation Atlanta girl. When she was talking to the Pastor in the restaurant about the inner city kids getting free tuition at the gymnastics center, talking about them like they were so low class that they didn’t deserve it I just couldn’t believe she said that. She seems to think she’s better than most people. The male decorator was disgusting.

  6. TexasTart says:

    Good Morning all!
BB – miss you around here, surely you have family keeping you busy. How is your mother and how often do you get to see Jack?

  7. TexasTart says:

Get your taxes taken care of?! I did and broke the piggy bank. 😦

    • Catseye says:

I did mine last Thursday. I was a nervous wreck that I’d have to pay, so I was in a serious saving $$ mode. Then, after I did them I found out I am actually getting a refund from the IRS (not the state)! What a relief!!

    • LaineyLainey says:

Due to my husband’s “layoff” last year and his subsequent job search – we’re getting money back. Our son is taxed at the highest income bracket, but because he’s a freelancer, he got a lot of it back!!! His main employer witholds from his check which is good even though he’s a consultant. Our daughter made about $10,000 last year while being a fulltime student and teaching dance. She had to pay $800 because her modeling is contract work (no witholding). I keep telling her to save up for the tax man. Why should they listen to me? I can’t save beans.

      • ladebra says:

Hi Laney, just a thought. Your daughter should probably consult a tax guy, cause if she had to pay this year, and she is doing contract work again this year — she might want to pay some quarterly estimated tax payments. There’s a chance if she has to pay next year also, she might get hit with penalties. Not for sure (tax law is so confusing), but she just might want to check to see if she should. I’d hate to see her get hit with penalties.

        • LaineyLainey says:

Oh my gosh, you’re right!!! I meant to talk with her about filing quarterly. I’ll tell her to talk with her agent. That’s would suck…to have penalties.

      • She also might want to check if she can deduct any of her expenses as work related (like gas to & from auditions, portion of housing, etc.) and bring that amount down…if she hasn’t done that already. 🙂

  8. realhousewifeva says:

I don’t think that fight was fake at all! That was some crazy stuff, and it was totally real, IMO. The husbands look mortified, as well as the guests.

    • Iowagirl says:

I agree. Those husbands wanted to crawl away. Can you imagine having to fish out your purse from the bottom of the pool? My husband have walked out and left me.

      • TexasTart says:

I find it hard to believe a person didn’t end up in the pool. Don’t they know that’s how a fight poolside is supposed to end?!

        • realhousewifeva says:

It was very, very close at one point!

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I’m amazedno one was I the pool…they skirted around the edge lots of times!! That fight was gross-who does that? I have not seen a “girl” fight since I was in high school!!!

            • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Typing on my iPad is a horror show!!!!

              • realhousewifeva says:

LMAO! I hate using my ipad

                • Powell says:

JNNTJ & realhousewifeva why is it hard to type on the iPad? Just curious. I’ve already decided I’m getting a Kindle HD when I save up the dough. 🙂

                  • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

It not hard you just have to pay attention-typing on a real keyboard is easier-even my phone is easier b/c I’m so used to texting-I have to get used to the keypad and then it will be great!!!

              • nyc mama says:

It gets easier Jill as you said it just takes time and a bit of attention. I am using mine less and less lately and using my laptop more but with the summer coming I will back on it so will have to readjust all over again. It gets ridiculous going from my iphone to my ipad to my laptop to my desktop since they are all a bit different and it drives me crazy so I am trying to stay with one for longer periods of time for my sanity.

                • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I can type like a champ on my IPhone but the key pad on the iPad is bigger and I forget to hit the space bar!!!

                  • nyc mama says:

My iphone is the least of my problem but my previous phone was even easier for texting so the iphone is still not my fav but I text a lot so it has gotten easier. For me it is going from ipad to laptop to desktop with the iphone thrown in.

            • Stars99 says:

Wait… do you mean to tell me there was a perfectly good pool and NO one got pushed into it even though there was a crazy fight going on? Heck… I’ve been known to allegedly… upon occasion… sometimes… perhaps… ummmm… well, you know… to “lovingly nudge” my friends into taking a refreshing dip into a pool a time or two… or three… lolol… and we weren’t even fighting! Well, at least not before they got all wet…

        • Powell says:

That’s how Krystal & Alexis did it in Dynasty. 🙂

          • Stars99 says:

A general rule of thumb to remember if anyone is ever around me and a pool is conveniently there, too – If I ask to see your cell phone… you prolly wanna step away from the edge of the pool… Just sayin’….

    • nyc mama says:

I couldn’t get past the ridiculousness of the first 5 minutes so I didn’t even get to the fight scene.I’m glad. What is even sadder is that some people are loving the show so Bravo will probably have it back. The Russell Armstrong fiasco, the Shah’s reunion and now this. Bravo has little respect for intelligent viewers if this is what they think is good programming.
What self-respecting physician would want themselves or their family showcased like this? The dumbing down of America right before our eyes.

      • Stars99 says:

Yeah, I’m really surprised that doctors are involved in this at all… because it could really have a detrimental affect on their practice… I mean it’s one thing to want to visit a restaurant of one of the “Bravolebrities” it’s a whole nuther Oprah to trust that “Bravolebrity” with your ongoing health.

        • nyc mama says:

We usually aren’t privy to doctors private lives or who they marry but in this case we are and if my doctor showed bad judgement by marrying one of these things then I would question his abiliy to make good decisions about my health. This ship has sailed as far as I’m concerned with this show. I am curious to what their ratings are. I hope low so it is only a one season wonder.

Watching Lisa and Giggy is cute, watching that tart with her two dogs was not and I still can’t get over the fact that she was incapable of saying the word wardrobe. Teresa is one thing but she’s married to Joe and but this one is married to a supposedly intelligent man who is in healthcare. Then reading her blog only confirmed she has little command of the english language.

          • kendo says:

I’m surprised that doctors would marry such ghetto women! Atlanta has become the lead city to film bad realty shows. I used to love to visit Atlanta, but it really is a ruff city – lots of crime. Had a friend car jacked at a convenience store a few years ago. You really have to know the areas to avoid and be aware at all times. It’s been labeled Detroit of the south!

      • Catseye says:

        So true.

  9. Cathy Connor says:

I wasted an hour of my life last nite that I will never get back ! Im embarassed to be a angry black woman….oh wait im not black just embarassed to be a woman watching Married to Medicine . Come on, Bravo is punkin us right ??? What is wrong with these women and how many of them have daughters ? Role models really !!! So sorry NMD you had to endure that last nite Im done with it ,that was so wrong on so many levels…Hope everyone has a great week ! Am ready to chat Amazing Race anybody ??

    • Orson says:

This sort of show cannot be good for any of the doctors’ practices.

      • Catseye says:

I caught the final 5 mins of a repeat yesterday afternoon with some upcoming espisode teasers, while waiting for a RHOBH repeat. I could NOT believe these women are actually doctors. Unbelievable.

    • nyc mama says:

There is a petition to cancel the show that was started 2 months ago. So far it has 2660+ supporters.

“Black female physicians only compose 1% of the American workforce of physicians. Due to our small numbers, the depiction of Black female doctors in media, on any scale, highly affects the public’s view on the character of all future and current African American female doctors. Bravo’s “Married to Medicine” not only exploits the 6 lives of its Black female cast members, but, through its advertisements and commercials, heavily associates Black females in medicine with materialism, “cat fights”, and unprofessionalism. In a time when doctors are being held to very high standards by the public and each other, it is unfathomable for such a depiction of medicine and black women to be broadcast on tv where it will be inevitably available for years to come, on the internet and through other media outlets. Additionally, as residency positions are becoming increasingly more competitive (particularly for Black women) and contingent upon social behavior of graduating medical students, this depiction will only hinder black female physicians from attaining competitive residencies. Hence, for the sake of integrity and character of black female physicians, we must ask that Bravo immediately remove and cancel “Married to Medicine” from its channel, website, and any other media.”

  10. Good Morning!

Thanks again for the blog NMD! I actually caught ATL reunion last night…and found it very benign! I expected weaves and wigs flyin’! 😛

It sounds like (I won’t watch it!) Married To Medicine is a take off an Bad Girls Club. How embarrassing for professionals to act like that. Disgusting. What a waste of programming and money Bravo. If I were a patient of any of those doctors I would certainly change doctors! Yikes!

Busy domestic morning before clients this afternoon! How come Spring Cleaning doesn’t last all Spring?!

New post, “A Different Monday”, is up at my place. Enjoy!

Really? I looooooved the fact that NeNe called Phaedra out on her two-faced bull-luann. This was the prize fight I was hoping for all season.

  11. T-Rex says:

OMG okay since everyone was talkin about this “green dress” that apparently has the requirement of making an appearance on all the HW franchises and KimZgolddigga should NOT have been the one to wear that egad! First off, her boobs are too ginormous for that dress, in addition the “faux cut outs” are not supposed to be wrinkly, they are supposed to look flawless, and KimZgolddigga did not, you could clearly see the the material, buckling . I don’t watch Atlanta, but just had to see the pics. I did see the pics where LisaH and MeGO wore it and their body type fits that kind of dress, but still they all wore the dress within weeks of each other, FIRE that stylist immediately.

Maybe they came from Kyle’s store?

Happy Monday everyone! Up early every day this week due to work. 4 a.m. rise and shine 🙂
Watched Game of Thrones last night so I missed Kim’s a/k/a Wig’s dress. I will check it out on the Bravo site. Have a great day. BBL

    • AZGirl says:

OMG! Side boobies hanging out along with love handles. What was Kim thinking?

      • T-Rex says:

I know right?? Look KimZgolddigga has a good figure(well she should after all the money she has paid oops her “johns” have paid to get that figure, lypo, boobies, etc.) but whoever told her that dress looked good on her AIN’T her friend.

        • realhousewifeva says:

Her figure, understandably, does not look like it did before she had those 2 babies back to back…and she should dress to fit her new body and not the body she thinks she has.

    • Rebecca says:

OMG – greatest scene of the YEAR was the council meeting. The chair re-arranging was freaking hilarious!

  14. jeang says:

Go to the blog all about the truth(housewives), it has a side photo of kim in that dress with all her backfat hanging out. Dont these people check out all angles in the mirrors?

  15. realhousewifeva says:

At one point when Nene was “reading” Phaedra about her half-sisters, she said something like “I could have talked about Angela” and Kenya said she was in her dressing room…but it never went further. Who is Angela? I’m guessing it’s someone associated with Phaedra’s past?

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Angela Stanton(?) wrote a book about Phaedra-I think I heard Kenya say that she had Angela in her dressing room? Did anyone else hear that???

      • realhousewifeva says:

Oh okay! Yes, that’s why I wanted to know who they were talking about because Kenya mentioned she was with her and Phaedra clearly wanted to end that topic quickly

      • realhousewifeva says:

        Thanks!

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I think NeNe and Kenya are just as shady as Phaedra-or more so b/c they brought Angela up on TV where as Phaedra never let on to the viewers that she was talking with NeNes family…estranged family that probably wanted to get on the show and hurt NeNe.

          • RealhouseWifeva says:

Of course Phaedra never mentioned she was talking to nene’s family… She wanted them to film with her ‘ever so innocently’ and for THEM to expose things’ to make nene look bad. If she had just brought them up herself, she knows she would have looked shady. She’s no dummy. But Andy loves him some nene and was not going to allow that film to air, IMO. Kim tweeted that phaedra called her while nene’s sisters were on the phone with her. Phaedra is always so fake about everything, her demeanor, the way she speaks, etc. Last reunion nene was a little cryptic in the way she told sheree how she chose the wrong team and should have stuck with nene. I think nene has a relationship with Andy unlike the other ladies, and with Andy’s desperation to keep nene on the show, IMO she has a little pull.

            • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I think NeNe said that Kim Sheree and Phaedra all sat down with her sisters. I could see all 3 of them in on it together-When Kim is angry with NeNe she will say and do anything-same thing with NeNe when she is angry with Kim.
I think it’s gross the Phaedra was talking to them but I think they ALL do shady things-so I’m not going to be mad at Phaedra for being a playa…I will just keep hating the game!!

          • kendo says:

Does Nene really need anyone’s help in making herself look bad? She seems to have that area covered. She doesn’t seem to know when to shut up! She’s wanting to be a legitimate actor – she’s got to learn some self control!

  17. ramonacoaster says:

Ok so the gossip rags are reporting that Carole, Heather and Ramona are signed since they were asked to come to the Bravo upfronts. Now Lulu is signed. Oh well (sigh). Typical Sonja, goes to Thailand and leave the details of a negotiation to her lawyer. You gotta take the bull by the horns & handles things yourself or be left out in the cold.

THE ‘HOUSEWIVES’ DEAL HAS TOUGH CLAWS

Looks like the catfights have started before the “Real Housewives of New York” has even started taping. Returning cast member Ramona Singer was the first to sign her contract for this new season, which caused co-star Sonja Morgan to flip her pretty lid. “They had the same lawyer and were negotiating their contracts together. Sonja went on vacation to Thailand and when she came back, Ramona had retained a different attorney and negotiated her own deal,” a source tells us. We’ve also learned Countess LuAnn de Lesseps has just signed on for the new season after much negotiation with Bravo.

    • Kat From Ohio says:

unpopular opinion: luann does not bother me, especially now that jill is gone. also, the best thing for sonja is to leave the negotiations to her lawyer. she is clueless about business and would probably demand an absurd amount of money and shoot herself in the foot. the lawyer will be able to bargain for a REASONABLE salary.

anyway, i graduate in less than two weeks now. you will be seeing more of me, as i turned in my thesis today! still trying to figure out plans for the summer… i feel like dustin hoffman

    • T-Rex says:

So my take on Ramonacoaster and SonjaWhoresAlot conversation. SonjaWhoresaLot we have a meeting on tuesday 9am, be there and ON TIME. Cut to Tuesday 9:30am SonjaWhoresalot where are you you are supposed to be at the meeting, oh, I forgot and got a last minute invitation to Thailand whoops forgot to tell anyone. Then Ramonacoaster saying fine I will do this on my own and walks out of the meeting. As far as CountlessLuMan I am sure those negotiations were not to “her” benefit I am pretty sure she had to make a boatload of concessions and probably a pay cut to get her spot back on the show.

  18. djprincessc says:

Love how Phaedra didn’t deny anything that Nene said. Its obviously true, sucks bc I actually used to LIKE Phaedra, but this season and her behavior has made me not like her. All I can think now is fake, gimmicky, and liar when I see her. Kim’s face did look better than before, but she def does NOT look 33, Idk I still thats how she is. I’m gonna be 28 in June and that makes her what about 5 years older than me? Thats not a lot!!! People think I’m still 21!!. She did look ridiculous in that dress.

    • djprincessc says:

I stil don’t think thats how old she is!!! Geez typos galore! lol.

    • Nancy says:

      dj,
How is your boy friend Kobe doing today? Have you heard? That’s a BAD injury
to come back from but it can be done. The Gold medal pair skaters came back from the same injury when everyone thought they were DONE!!

      • Nancy says:

Here’s the Gold Medal program. I was so happy for them.

      • djprincessc says:

Hiiiiiii Nancy!! Kobe put on Instagram a pic of him in bed with his leg elevated and he has to be like that for 2 weeks! He said he gets antsy in 5 min so he’s not too excited about that! lol. But he says he’ll be back better than ever, I hope so cus I am not prepared for him leaving now or this way!! lol. If anyone can do it, its Kobe though. How are you today, this weather is weird!

        • Nancy says:

          Hi dj,
He’ll need to stay off of it (for real) and that’s going to be torture for him. Hopefully
he will return. I’m doing ok thanks. I’m watching this stupid trial and I want it to be over already! She’s guilty…Off with her head. lol

  19. rabblerouser2010R says:

My opinion of part one was Porscha 1- Kenya 0, Round two was Phaedra 1 – Kenya 0.

While Kenya brings the craZy that is IMO all she brings. She’s not quick witted enough to dance with some of these ladies off of the cuff…and when it come to the things she plans…they also fall flat. e.g. showing up dressed like Phaedra at someones event…she just looked like a mentally deranged person who snuck her way in; then with her party when she tried to get Porsha to dress like Babs but Porsha shut in down…then she tried to chuck her out of the part…and it ended in a walk out of the entire cast…where she had be the one to APOLOGIZE

    • realhousewifeva says:

I totally agree. For all her big talk “Don’t come for me unless I call for you” (which, by the way, makes no sense) she really disappointed at the reunion. That’s why she needed that fan. She is awful in off the cuff witty retorts. You have to check out the Bravotv.com exclusive clip about Kenya being ashy. At the end she’s all like “I want to ask an important question, Porsha, do I look ashy to you today?” You know she thought she was looking all smooth and shiny, and Porsha’s like “Yes, you do. I actually noticed the cracks in your feet earlier. You do.” and Kenya has no response. LOL!

Like last night, while I’ve never been a big Phaedra fan, she really puts Kenya in her place. Saying she should get back end from Kenya’s interviews, haha

      • realhousewifeva says:

But I want to add, looks like she gets in her digs next week by showing text messages from Apollo. I can’t wait to see what goes on then.

    • HuskerHuny says:

      Real Housewives of Atlanta Scorecard
Nene – in a primetime network TV show
Cynthia – business owner and former model; still quite beautiful
Kandi – Grammy award winning songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, has her own show
Phaedra – attorney at law and from what I read, quite a good one and will soon have her own show
Porsha – member of a famous Atlanta family with deep roots in civil rights
Kenya – former Miss USA and . . . crickets

I think she thought that everyone (us viewers) would fall in love with her and her antics. I have looked on the website where she says it shows her multi-million dollar movies and I didn’t recognize any of them other than Waiting to Exhale and I still don’t know what she had to do with that.

There’s one of two things going on here – 1) she is playing a character, a bad one, but a character none the less; or 2) she really is the person we see on the TV screen. I don’t like her either way. She’s a meany!

      • Nancy says:

I kind of feel sorry for her because she is a mess. Therapy is calling her name.

      • LaineyLainey says:

So basically Porsha’s big accomplishment according to this list is that she was born? Kenya’s accomplishments may not be impressive to you or me or anyone, but whatever she HAS accoomplished, she did it on her own. That’s better than “being born into a famous family.” At least, in my opinion, it’s better…ok, better may not be the right word. I can respect Kenya’s unimpressive accomplishments more than just being born. Does that make sense?

        • HuskerHuny says:

I totally get what you’re saying. Porsha’s only claim to fame is being born into a prominent family and marrying (and divorcing) an NFL quarterback. Doesn’t take any talent to do that. Being Miss USA 19whatever just doesn’t impress me. Take that away and I don’t find her particularly pretty, talented, funny, witty, nice, etc. I just find her mean and I think she has a tendency to overstate a few things. Wait a minute, so do the other ladies! Never mind.

          • LaineyLainey says:

bwhahahaha!!!! It’s ok, Husker…you’re not likin’ Kenya. I get it. No prob. I don’t love her, but she makes me laugh and all the things she’s done…well, I could never have done it, so that’s why I admire it. All that stuff may not take a ton of intelligence or talent but it takes tenacity,a certain amount of confidence and loads of chutzpah.

            • HuskerHuny says:

She’s got the last three things you mentioned in spades. I don’t mean to be so Debbie Downer on her, but she makes me crazy! Breathe, breathe, ahhhhhhh . . . Thanks for talking me down! You rule Lainey2!

Any updates will be appreciated as I have a group of kids here and will not be able to check the news till later.

          • realhousewifeva says:

I know! And it seems like these explosions were in trash cans or something. On the news they are saying it appears to be IEDs

          • kit9 says:

That was my thought. HOW the ef could this happen at a major sporting event at the finish line, no less? Did they do no pre race sweeps? We’re looking at multiple devices now, 2 that went off, one at the JFK library and reports of 2 more. What the ef is going on in Boston? Who’s running that city!? Inexcusable.

            • melthehound says:

They say the explosion/fire at the library is unrelated. I won’t comment on who is running the city.

            • nyc mama says:

It is impossible to completely secure any public area especially in a crowd of this size so this could happen anywhere, even with garbage cans removed, manhole covers secured and hundreds of police in the area. It is just impossible.

Everyone needs to be vigilant and if you see something, say something even if you think it is nothing and even if you think you will be embarassed – like an unaccompanied bag on the subway or a bus, etc.. It is very important and something I learned when living overseas in the Middle East.

              • kit9 says:

Of course every public place can’t be secured. Of course that can’t be done. But what can be done is securing obvious targets, gatherings of large amounts of people at known places and times. This was a major sporting event in a major city, just a couple of hours from the two targets of the biggest attacks in this country’s history. The two bombs that exploded were RIGHT on the race route at the finish line where the concentration of people were the highest-where there were erected grandstands. And, this isn’t one bomb, it’s two, directly on the race route! There’s no excuse for this. I’m just furious. These weren’t suicide bombers, checking every person going in and out is nearly impossible. These were planted bombs, reports are in trash cans or packages. Literally terrorism check list 101.

                • kit9 says:

And, notice they immediately found at least 2 other devices in the aftermath. That means they could have found them before the two bombs exploded had they been looking/thorough before hand. This wasn’t at some random spot along the race route-of course that whole route couldn’t be secured. But, where the 2 bombs exploded are EXACTLY where every security measure should have been taken and clearly were not. If they were only going to secure one area, it would be where the bombs exploded.

    • realhousewifeva says:

They are saying 2 dead, 23 injured.

This is a very sad day and my heart goes out to the wounded and the people of Boston for what they have to endure and the uneasy feeling they are living with right now. I remember it well and it came back in spades today.

        • nyc mama says:

And the anniversaries of Columbine, OK City and Hitler’s birthday and I heard a few other things spoken about , are this week, dates the looney fringe like to commemorate. They may have just seized the opportunity today because they had the marathon, the crowds and the world watching, things that they like. Iiwish the media wouldn’t give them the attention they love but I understand why they feel the need to report it. A double edge sword.

          • melthehound says:

I’m sure they are happy watching their chaos on teevee. There is no perfect crime though, someone will make a mistake, or already did, and they’ll be caught. Charged with double murder, and several counts of attempted murder..

  28. melthehound says:

2 other bombs were found un-detinated and apparently are being or have been dismantled. They have a ‘person of interest’ in custody at the hospital, I read.

I also heard there are at least 9 children with serious injuries . 😦

I read an article that said Lydia felt like Heather was the most welcoming of all of them. That surprised me until it hit me that Lydia’s family owns a television network in Canada. I imagine Heather would love to get some acting gigs via that connection.

OK my inner cynic is showing again.

I’m glad you’ll be with us tonight. My prayers go out to you and everyone who is hurting as a result of the bombing. I’m hoping the silly OC gals will provide us all with a needed distraction from our sadness.

Even though I doubt many post here I feel the need to post this. Once again, thank you first responders – every day citizens, police and fire personnel, EMS and everyone who helped those who needed them even when it would have been easier to run away. The photos and film shows so many of them and I just wanted to say THANK YOU and recognize their heroism which so often gets overlooked in the chaos.
