America Loves a Brawl between Rich Women but I Don’t / Dancing with the Stars Elimination

America Loves a Brawl between Rich Women but I Don’t – so Long Bravo by NoMoreDrama

The rating have spoken, and I seem to be standing alone on my dislike of Married to Medicine.  With a strong lead-in from the Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers, it’s bringing in ratings that are better than Real Housewives of Orange County and around those of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  What I don’t understand – what I will never understand – is why the violence is allowed.  In shows like Big Brother cast members are pulled off the show the second they act unstable and are a threat to their castmates.  Yet on Bravo they are rewarded for that sort of behavior.    Little by little it’s escalated.   Ashlee pulling Danielle’s hair, Sheree pulling Kim’s wig, Teresa shoving Andy at the reuinion.  Then the Gorga-Giudice brawl at the christening,  the Adriana-Joanna slap down at Lisa Hochstein’s house,  Toya and Mariah’s brawl on Sunday’s show, and Jersey Brawl just a little over a week ago.   And those are the ones that are captured on camera.

Preparing a blog each morning takes a lot of time, and I have been wondering for quite a while now how much longer I’m willing to give to this when I’m starting to despise the entire franchise.  I think I’ve reached the end.  For the time begin I’ll keep posting show recaps, but no longer recruit for bloggers for new shows.  If I have no new content to post, I won’t post a blog.  I’m open to suggestions on how to make this easy on all of you, handing over this blog to someone else isn’t really an option in this litigious world where I am ultimately responsible for whatever is written here.

I guess I’m just one in a long line of people that have given up on these shows.  I could write a long blog about why, but I think Priscilla Wasilla summed it up better than I ever could when she stopped blogging, with this open letter to Andy Cohen.  Andy – what she said.

Dancing with the Stars Results Show by Lisette

Welcome back to the ballroom!  The show starts off with a dance that is out of this world…literally the theme is a space dance.  It was really cool and Tron-like and was choreographed by Derek and Mark.  First round of safe/not safe…Kellie & Derek are safe and Ingo & Kym are in jeopardy.  Back from commercial and filler video of the stars commenting on the side-by-side challenge.  Onto the encore dance and Jacoby wins it!  Woo hoo!  He got his nines and his encore.  Jacoby is having the best week ever!  So are the viewers as it is a repeat Maks performance too 😉  Sometimes the encores are so much better than the first time.  The audience agrees as they are so loud Tom can’t make himself be heard.  Next round of safe/not safe…Zendaya & Val are safe and Victor & Lindsay are in jeopardy.  Back from break and we have a performance from The Band Perry with dancing by Tristan and Whitney.  Filler in the form of a video from Len called “A Pep Talk”.  I’m sure this is mimicking something but I don’t know what.  Next round of safe/not safe…Jacoby & Karina and Alexandra & Mark are safe.  Next week is Stevie Wonder week and time for group dances.  The two highest scorers, Kellie and Zendaya, will be the team captains and the dances will be the Paso Doble and Samba.  Now a Macy’s Stars of Dance performance with music performed by Kerli.  Next up a lip synching performance from Selena Gomez.  She seems to be singing along to her backing track but the track is so loud you don’t really hear her live voice.  Next round of safe/not safe…Sean & Peta and Andy & Sharna are safe.  DL & Cheryl are in jeopardy.  Tom announced that Sean and Katherine will be married in August to be televised on ABC of course.  Sean looked either confused or pissed that Tom was letting this information out.  Now for the final safe/not safe of the night…Ingo & Kym are safe so that means DL & Victor are this week’s bottom two.  Victor & Lindsay are safe so the couple going home tonight is DL & Cheryl.  DL goes out on a gracious and funny note.  Remember, next week is Stevie Wonder week and group dances.

Good Morning. My post about NYC mama is on the previous blog and I would encourage those who appreciated her contributions to read back. Thank you NMD for spelling it out.

    • LaineyLainey says:

Hi TT – well birds of a feather!! My post to NYC Mama is in the previous blog, too!!

  2. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. It’s hump day. I hope you’ve made it thru. Have a great day.

  3. Donna says:

    Good Morning

  4. TexasTart says:

NMD, just read your post and would like to say that I respect and support any decision you make regarding the content you chose to have on your blog! It’s only logical to take a stand against violence and fake reality. I have drawn a line with NJ and not even drawn to MTM, as an example, but I am still a HW nut, ha. I figure with you being the original Housewife Addict, that if the franchise comes up with a good one or cleans up their act that you would take note! Thanks for your tireless efforts here and all the bloggers!
    Thank you Lisette for DWTS!

NMD I 100% agree. The fun of watching RH shows is long gone. Even if she was a bit dull to watch at times Yolanda at home tending her Lemon trees was fun to watch. Seeing Alexis with her kids, the NJ gang in the pool with kids all those things that families do is fun because most of us can relate to it. None of us are brawling with our friends or family members.
Andy BRING the fun back to RH or you’ll lose your whole audience.

    • Beckygrey says:

Ditto. I wrote something to the same affect on another blog. It came on the heels of the fight on MTM. As a women, women of color, USA citizen and a member of the human race…(have I gone too far?) , it was something that made me embarrassed and I turned off the TV.

  5. butterisafruit says:

NMD, thank you for keeping all of us, and the blog going for so long. I know a lot of us
can understand how tired you can become. Especially blogging shows with no substantial value.
Please know your work, is appreciated and you are highly valued. No one can blame
you for easing up on a lot of the posts. I must say, I am amazed that you do so many as it is.

  6. Tracy Shea says:

I am at this same point. I am not watching Jersey when it airs. I don’t care about theses women anymore. They are all disgusting! And the other shows are also close to being dropped from my weekly viewing. Who in “real life” acts like they do? I cannot relate to any of them at any level. It used to be they were just rich people with the same problems as you and I. Remember one of the first shows from OC I watched. It was Lauri and Vicki talking about Lauri’s marriage that feel apart and her struggles to creat a new life for herself and her children. It was such a honest moment. I was hooked. Now? Over scripted moments are the norm. Being mean and jealous is par for the course. And I wonder if they all get a bonus each time the bleep out the F bomb.

  7. Orson says:

It’s all Kenya’s, Brandi’s, Melissa’s, Jill’s, Karent’s, or Tamra’s fault. You only get to blame one. But yeah, there seem to be far too many Kims in Andy’s Bravoverse. Maybe every franchise will be getting one?

    • LaineyLainey says:

hmmmmm? You forgot the real culprit. Tre. Isn’t it always Teresa, when it’s all said and done. Teresa the all powerful.

      • Orson says:

Well, considering all the Tre-huggers here, I punted. But sure, it could be Tre’s fault too. I think the important thing is to get the franchises confused when you’re playing the blame game. I’ll probably blame Heather or Tamra for all the crap that goes down in New Jersey. I’ll blame Tre for Miami or OC, I haven’t decided yet.

        • Powell says:

I feel you ALL are right. As I’ve said before we most definitely can blame Bravo & Andy but we can’t put all the blame on the. The HWs let Bravo Production take them down dark roads for a buck 1st, family, friends & community last.

  8. I understand how Bravo feels the need to cater to the “Jerry Springer” demographic. Even the blogs about housewives are now mostly slick pieces of work that just regurgitate the same old gossip over and over in hopes of grabbing advertising dollars. Sure there are still a few crazies out there that blog for the fun of it – but most of the first round of bloggers have disappeared.

  9. Stars99 says:

So wait… am I a “crazy” that blogs for the fun of it? Why yes, I think I am… dagnabit… [sigh] Wanders around aimlessly to try to find a new blogging home… bumping into things… I’m sorry that the quality of the shows has pushed you to this NMD… thanks for all the work you’ve done and for being willing to allow this newbie to test her wings on your blog.

    • Interesting question. I actually didn’t mean I thought we were crazy just for blogging for the fun of it – I meant that there were a few blogs out there run by crazy people. But are we crazy, just blogging for the fun of it?

Starrs – If you want to set up your own blog (and you have so much talent you really should) I can walk you through the wordpress side of things.

      • Stars99 says:

Thanks so much and what a kind offer, NMD… I have no idea what I’m doing at this point… but how kewl is it that you offered to help me out…. It just shows what a classy person you are – which unfortunately cannot be said of most of the objects of our blogs… = )

    • Me in TN says:

Stars99, I love your recaps and will follow you anywhere!

      • Stars99 says:

Awww… so kind, MiTN… I’m going to continue to blog RHOC here until I’m not able to do so… = )

  10. T-Rex says:

Very Sad about the blogging, but totally can COMPLETELY understand NMD! You were a champion to take over the blog and keep it going as long as you did. As you all know I gave up on most of the shows a LONG time ago. I only watch NY(sans TheLunatic) and only came back to BHills this past season. I will not watch MTM, NJ, OC or AT due to the antics of the casts of these shows. This year I even vowed not to put my two cents on the NJ blog days as I have completely decided that I won’t read the blog on those days, those fiends aren’t even worth that any longer, IMO. I do like the other blogs about other shows, like Duck Dynasty, Top Chef(all variations), Project Runway, Tabitha, but I can say I can easily be pretty much done as well with all the HW franchises. If it’s not going to be blogged here any longer I will probably give up on watching them

  11. CC says:

Amen. Your quality of life is more important than the trash some franchise have become. I’d rather watch Dynasty reruns. Waiting for talented actors in scripted shows to return to TV.

  12. butterisafruit says:

Actually it’s Andy that killed the HW’s for me. He’s the most disrespectful, vulgar person on TV.
And obviously he promotes all this carnage.

    • Catseye says:

I think so too. He must really HATE women to want to present them in the very worst light possible. Annoying.

      • butterisafruit says:

I believe you’re right. He doesn’t shock me, he disgusts me.

      • Powell says:

I don’t think Andy hates women. Andyoves his job & he and his bosses love the ratings therefore the viewers feelings are secondary. No one up there has the balls to stand up and say “we’ve let it go to far & enough is enough. We have to make serious changes or the entire network could be jeopardized by a few shows”, but I don’t think anyone has taken that stand.

    • He is the face of the problem, but there are other executives at Bravo that have influence.

NeNe Leakes has said numerous times that you have to be smart to know how to bring what the producers want each season. I think she knows more than anyone how the expectations have changed. I want to go back to the good old days when we were outraged that LuAnn wanted the Bethenny’s driver to call her Countess. It was those subtle moments that made you feel like you knew the women. Now it’s hard to figure out who they are under all the acting/yelling/fighting.

      • butterisafruit says:

YES, That made it enjoyable and puzzling all at the same time. Thinking everyone was a commoner but herself. And the nerve to have Alex as part of the group.

  13. Amalfi says:

I came here because like so many, I “hated” Season 3 Jill… and I stayed because I liked Lynn and all of you. I also learned that Lynn was too personally vested in this. She had a gorgeous young son, and a full time job, husband, sisters and friends…. and gave up her life (literally) for this blog.

The stress, the threats of lawsuits, the name calling, the ridiculous amount of hours…was it worth it? I don’t presume to speak for Lynn, but for myself – the answer would be a resounding no.

Thank you, NMD, for all you do. This blog is too much at times, yet it is just what we need at other times. I am glad someone was always here whenever I occasionally poked my head in.

    • Exit4 says:

I know exactly what you mean about lynn being overly invested. I hope no one misunderstands you. To make this thing a success I guess she had to be, but you do wonder if its worth it. I say no as well.

The other bloggers out there are the same way, but rather then doing it (like Lynn did), because she wanted to create a community-these new comers are looking to get famous or expose people they hate. Not create community. They’re looking to get close to the people on the shows or the hangers on. That’s why they bite and claw for the dumbest pieces if hearsay.

      I feel like the party’s over. 😦

  14. Exit4 says:

Sorry to hear this NMD, but I get it. You’re better than I-I’d never be able to carry this or any blog as long as you did. Kudos!

In an interview, Fran Dresher said shed never do a reality show because they appeal to the lowest common denominator. I have to say, in many ways this is true! Look at some of the other blogs or reality TV sites and the poor grammar, bad language and at times lack of basic life knowledge of the posters. Look at the Housewives “fans” on Twitter. The nasty language they use (c-you-next-Tuesday) is a favorite and the horrible things they post to (and about) each other and the woman in the shows. It’s ugly. But like attracts like.

This blog was always a welcome respite from the others out there. Not because of the content necessarily, but because of the people who post here. Smart, compassionate NORMAL people who like the Housewives. And maybe couldn’t tell their friends. Unfortunately now, the Queenz of Medias, Chris Starks and their ilk are taking over with their petty drama, redundant crap and mostly made up gossip.

It would be easy to blame Andy Cohen for where the shows went, but I don’t. It’s the viewers. Whenever there’s a housewife who’s not clinically insane-she’s trashed as “boring”. Like heather and carol from New York were labeled. I, for one, would watch heather and carol all day as opposed to that nut Ramona. But that’s not what people want. In TV you have to give that. Hence more Kenya’s and Brandies and less carols. They still have eyes, but the demographic has changed.

Well, NJ starts soon! I hope some of the regulars visit back. Those NJ discussions were always wild-but in a good way-no one ever tried to hunt another poster down and expose them for liking one housewife over another.

  15. plainviewsue says:

NMD. I completely understand where you are coming from. We are all so greatful for all you have done for keeping Lynn’s blog alive, when we know how much work it is.

I refuse to watch any new Bravo show, so I haven’t experienced Married to Medicine, LA Shrinks or any others. I refused to watch RHOM, because I didn’t want to get caught up in another show of endless drama and fighting.

I will stick with RHOC, RHONY, RHONJ and RHOBH. Yes, they are off the rails sometimes. But with the exception of the OC, I do have at least one or two favorites in the other franchises. The only other Bravo shows that I watch are Tabatha, Top Chef and Top Chef Masters.

When RHOC started, it was a show about women supporting women. Vicki helping Lauri; Vicki and Jeanna’s friendship. Now it’s all so over the top. Very sad.

    • CC says:

I agree. You have taken on a tremendous blog at a moment’s notice. Thank you. Enjoy life. Our family and friend’s are most important.

  16. Exit4 says:

I changed my email and ended up in moderation. Can some one free me from jail! LOL!

  17. NMH says:

I just wanted to add my 2 cents and applaud your decision to stand by your principles and start weaning down the blog. I myself have been uncomfortable with Bravo for awhile and have dropped quite a few of their shows. It’s just not that fun anymore for myself. The one thing I want to say is that if it wasn’t for Bravo, I wouldn’t have found such a great blog with very decent people. I overall was just a casual commenter but always was/am a daily visitor and can appreciate the special group here first thru Lynn and now thru NMD. Thanks NMD for even continuing the blog for as long as you have. Have a great day, everyone!

  18. rabblerouser2010R says:

    Good Morning,
I think it goes without saying NMD that you have our support and understanding. Blogging is a LOT of work and comes at a personal sacrifice. The events of the last couple of days have given us all pause to think about what is really important- and all though it showed the dark side of human nature so soon afterwards the bright side overflowed. So, seeing Bravolebirites to continue to be rewarded or recieve accolades for behaving like….well animals is a bitter spill to swallow.

Thank you again for all that you do. You have my appreciation and respect. xo

  19. lizzle says:

Uhoh… is the blog going bye bye? I understand if you don’t want to do it anymore, NMD… but I never really considered this a Bravo blog. I just see it as a place to congregate and talk… with the television shows being the lead in for convo. I wonder why the ratings are so high on these violent shows. It sounds like VH-1 is taking a stand by cutting the violent tempered Love off of Mob Wives… hopefully, Basketball Wives will follow that lead…. as that is a violent show as well. I will applaud VH-1 if they ignore the ratings and take out the violence, because it is the right thing to do. The president of NBC, Laura Z talked at TED… and she claims they are a reflection of society… but what I say is that leaders of a society always have more responsibility to guide the whole of society in the right direction. Yes, Andy and Laura… you have a social responsibility to cut out the violence in your programming. Many households have both parents working and teens are home alone… they should not be watching “reality” like this, because they will go to school and act the way these women act. Bravo does have a responsibility to change their programming. MTV chose not to air Buckwild after the death of one of the cast members. VH-1 fired Love from Mob Wives. Hopefully, Bravo will follow suit and do the right thing as well…. regardless of the ratings.

And NYC Mama… please come back! You are so, so interesting and I was actually wanting info on the cleanse. I need to make a change in my life and the cleanse seems like a good start towards a healthier lifestyle. My friend does the master cleanse twice a year for ten days. She does it by the book and after the first week… she has so much energy and is walking on clouds. And yes, when you drink the epsom salt/ water mixture… you POOP… you POOP A LOT! POOP, POOP, POOP, POOP!!! And my friend says… “It feels so good to POOP like that”

I love you NYC Mama and everyone else that contributes positivity and light to this blog. You are all that matter on the blog! I am sorry that I don’t say it enough. I guess I take this blog for granted sometimes…. but believe me… I am always sad to see regular posters disappear. And I will be very sad if this blog disappears. But NMD… you gotta do, what you gotta do!

    • Me in TN says:

Isn’t that what cleansing is all about…getting the POOP out? Come back, NYC Mama, I have questions too!!

  20. Exit4 says:

I think we all recognize that NMD took this on to keep a group of people together at a sad time last August. And for that you deserve the most credit. 🙂

  21. Cathy Connor says:

Good Morning All, I must comment here and respect everything NMD had done and said. She has my utmost respect and admiration. I certainly know what a toll this blog can have on anyone writing , putting in time effort blood sweat tears , personal attacks (the worst) . But lets not forget my sister Lynn loved this blog it was her baby her joy her sorrow her friend her enemy . When it was suggested (many times) by many people for her to just give up on this blog She wouldnt hear of it. You were and always will be her friends her Blog Family and the only reason she did this. No money gain No star on the walk of fame ! Thats not to say she would have turned down money it was needed by her just like anyone else but it was not her primary motive.

Must say for the record as well we can not blame her death on this blog. My sister suffered from High blood pressure and diabetes. She did not take care of herself as well as she should have The fact is none of us knew she was sick she seemed well and happy certainly with lifes stressers but well i promise ….Dont forget I spoke to her 3 hours before she passed.

I know you have purchased the wordpress website here NMD which I will be happy pay you for just to not lose the name and all of the archives from both before and after Lynns passing.

I wish I could ease your burden NMD but I for one will respect any decision you make concerning the blog and can never Thank You enough for all you did for this blog and all of us.Please feel free to email me anytime just please let me know what you would like to do as I dont want to lose all of the content here I am here for you now and always Sincerly Cathy

    • Trashy T says:

(((Cathy))) (((NMD))) (((NYCmoma))) Thanks to everyone who contributes here. I’d like to see the blog continue in some way shape or form.

    • Amalfi says:

Thanks for responding. Lynn was very loved, it is clear not just on this blog. It hurt to see her being attacked by weirdos on twitter and facebook as well as other blogs and occasionally on her own blog. I remember everytime I stop here that it is because of a lady named Lynn Hudson.

The blog didn’t kill her, no. She gave a lot of her time to this blog, and while I am grateful her legacy is not merely this blog, but your nephew and Julia and all those she left behind. Thanks for a chance to remember her today.

    • BB says:

Cathy, I know how much joy your sister took from running this blog. It was her passion and not everybody finds their passion in life. Because of her, I have learned a lot about myself, and interacting with the people here has made me look at things from different points of view that I may never have done had it not been for this place. Lynn was appreciated more than she ever knew.

      • Cathy Connor says:

BB you have been around here a long time I know hon, Im glad she helped you to find some of your star qualities She would love that . Lets never lose tough with each other even if we have to make this a chat only blog If nobody wants to write formal blogs i will pay the wordpress fees no prob I think we need each other Just my thoughts will respect the decisions made by the “Board you being a founding member…..

    • lizzle says:

Moments ago, I just learned that a friend from the Marina where I lived for many years has just passed away from a heart attack. He and his wife were living on a boat and spending their winters in tropical paradises like the Bahamas. He did canvas work for boats and loved his life and his work. He was not the healthiest of people, which probably contributed to his death… but he was doing what he loved and living his dream… without much stress and strife. This event… along with the last few days has made me think about my own life. Lynn made a very large positive contribution to many, many lives. She is remembered by so many people in a positive way. She was someone I looked up to… so is my friend, who just passed away. Life is precious and fleeding. Much love to everyone.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

Much love to you too Lizzle. My condolences on the loss of your friend. May he rest in peace.

      • Cathy Connor says:

My condolences to you for your loss Life is so damn short I get reminded everyday of this

Also my sisters son Bobby just broke his wrist in two places yesterday after school He never cried so I didnt either until I left him and realized how much he needed hid Mom at that time . This just sucks !!

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about Bobby’s injury. I know he is such an athletic and active boy, I hope this doesn’t hinder him too much as he heals.

It also makes me sad to think off all the events, especially the good ones that Lynn won’t be there to either help him through or cheer him least physically since I am sure she is there in spirit.

          • Cathy Connor says:

Thanks RR you certainly know about him he had already started baseball practices on two teams and was signed up for Lacross (Kristen KJO ) had bought him a goalie stick he was very excited to use. Its just times like that your right ,good and bad that you really miss her . He will heal quickly Im sure kids usually do..Just wanted to keep friends informed Her spirit is always with us all I Thank God for that..

        • CC says:

          It really does suck.

        • Powell says:

Cathy I hope Bobby heals as quick as possible. I’m sure it must suck.

      • thedesigndiva2 says:

((((( HUGS ))))lizzle….. I have always said to do what make you happy , not what makes you money… I applaud your friend for living his dream..
I know that when I pass on to the other side I will do so with a light heart knowing that I did what made me happy and never knowingly hurting someone in the process of doing so… may we all achieve “inner peace” in our lifetime…

        hugs and peace

      • BB says:

Sorry to hear about your friend Lizzle. I’ve been reminded a lot lately about how short life can be and am trying to make personal changes myself to make the most of it.

      • TexasTart says:

(((Lizzle))), Sorry to hear you lost a friend.

      • Powell says:

Lizzle I’m so sorry about your friend. God bless his family, friends and everyone he touched. I’m sorry for your loss. 😦

    • Cathy Connor says:

Please do not misunderstand I know this is not a money issue You did not make it one and its not my intension to either. Mean no harm by that NMD Just want to be sure the name doesnt go away simply that and nothing more . It can maybe be a blog for the people by the people and just chit chat away and enjoy our friendships care and concern for each other ?? You can relax and enjoy feeling no pressure to put anything together deadlines anything but stopping here and blabbin away like the rest of us….thoughts ?? suggestions ?? Can that work ??

      • Hi Cathy! So good to see you! I do not know a suggestion that would work that is different from what everyone else mentioned…..but just posting a chat blog everyday would still bring us together. In whatever way is best for NMD and all, I pray it will work out. 🙂

        • Cathy Connor says:

Yes sweet lady we can just wait to see what NMD decides and support 100% well said as always !!

    • plainviewsue says:

Cathy, your sister touched so many and brought so many of us together. I still have Lynn’s final blog saved in my favorites & will never delete it.

      • Cathy Connor says:

Hi my friend, oh yes me too I just would love us to stay together to find such special people like yourself and everybody here is very rare . Im holdin on kickin and screaming lol

  22. joymama says:

I found Lynn and you all because I couldn’t watch the shows anymore. I read Lynn’s recaps and your comments and now all the bloggers’ recaps because, like so many of you stated, they are crazy, outrageous, and violent. I find it hard to sit thru an entire episode.

I still have a curiosity about the families and such on these shows since that’s how it started for me. and they’ve all turned into a clusterf^%k.

I do thank each and everyone of the bloggers and commentors. I don’t comment much but I’ve always felt welcome to.

Thanks NMD for all your hard work and giving us a place to hang our hats in cyberspace after Lynn passed. This blog was unique because there are intelligent, sweet and caring people on this blog and I always enjoy reading people’s opinions and snark. Most of them mirror my own. Wish I had more time to post on the blog more often. I support whatever you decide to do, NMD.

  24. NMD…. I know that your daily devotion to the blog has taken a mental toll on you…for that I am sorry… know that I , like others , greatly appreciate the sacrifices you have made in order to maintain this gathering of people…THANK YOU…
maybe it’s time for all the players in the game…( hws ) to JUST SAY NO to dandyandy and 30 rock and tell them they will no longer be supporting the notion of bad behavior and degrading of family and friends values any longer… the show can’t go on if the players dont give them what they the producers want…… let the chips fall where they may……

    hugs and peace

  26. NMD, i thank you for all you have done and understand the frustration felt with bravo. i like the recaps of all the other shows ie revenge, race, dwts, etc. i love hearing about the ppl on the blog even if i can’t read or comment everyday. getting on the computer and staying on for more than an hour is part of my physical therapy now lol and i hope we can continue to meet like this regardless of bravo or nasty andy. i am still trying to figure out the convo about laney’s daughter and face off. it’s a show i watch all the time but i wasn’t on the computer when ya’ll were talking about it. sorry for rambling but i found that you can find ppl to love on the internet and that is what lynn and everyone on here have taught me. i have such a smile when i hear from butterisafruit, mel, nancy, rabble, diva and so many more. lynn lives in many hearts.

  27. BB says:

NMD – You stepped up to keep the Lynn Fam together with no hesitation and for that I thank you. You know you have my 100% support whatever you decide to do. I have personally found myself becoming more and more disenchanted with reality tv in general and the Bravo brand in particular. Nowadays, I mainly check in to see how everyone is doing and what’s going on with the posters here rather than comment on any of the shows.

    • trudie says:

BB, speaking of checking in to see how everyone is doing, how is your mom? Did you bring her home?

      • BB says:

Yes, Trudie. After two days of harrassing and making a spectacle of myself, I finally sprung her from the hospital yesterday evening. She is sooooo happy to be in her own bed and house. And although she is very weak and moving slowly, she is doing better as far as getting up and being able to get around (with a walker) than I thought she would be. The only problem I’m having now is getting her medicines straight and they also want her to do some breathing treatments with a nebulizer and anything like that intimidates me. But we’re plugging along so thanks for asking. Her next big challenge is getting a shower and she’s working herself up for it. Lol!

        • TexasTart says:

Good to hear you worked it out and wishing your Mother will continue to improve and your patience will hold steady, ha. Your mother is fortunate to be under your watch, not everyone can or will do as much for their loved ones.

        • LaineyLainey says:

Yay!!! Mom’s home…peace of mind for BB.

        • trudie says:

I am so glad to hear you took the bull by the horns and brought her home. She will heal so much more quickly surrounded by her own things and in her own place.

Don’t be afraid of the nebulizer. It really is a piece of cake once you get the hang of it. You can do – you are fabulous!

Your mom is lucky to have you and you are lucky to have her.

        • butterisafruit says:

I’m so glad she’s home BB. I know how hard it is for you. If you can’t get a visiting nurse..often the Dr will write a script for one. Find a local Medical Pharmacy, they carry equipment such as a chair for the shower, and if she doesn’t have an extend hose installed, you can do that easily. I know you both have a long way to go, still It’s great
          she’s in her own home.

          • BB says:

Thanks. Before we left the hospital we were told we would be getting some home nursing help. Still waiting for that call. If the home nursing people are as slow as the hospital itself, then my mom will be completely recovered before they show up. Lol! I’m not sweating it. I’m gonna do my best and that’s all I can do. I’ve already proven the saying “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

        • AZGirl says:

Good that you fought that fight and got your mom home. Nebulizers are not hard. I have one and the vials are easy to use. Your mom will get shaky and hyped up from the breathing treatments. They do help.

Hello everyone! I don’t come here and comment as often as I wish anymore as the Face book group takes so so much time. But I stiil have so much love for you all! I can certainly hear what you’re saying NMD and I appreciate all that you have done to continue on with this blog and the community that Lynn created. You are awesome and you totally rock!!

I too question at times what the heck I am doing spending so much time dealing with inane reality TV viewing. Bravo has lowered the bar considerably and insulted me by insinuating that this is what I want to see. Lizzle is sooooo right and I agree totally with what she says regarding the rsponsibility of entertainment industry and the quality of the product they produce. BravoAndy, the contempt and cynicism you must feel for your becomes apparent in your content choices.

    • disgrazia4 says:

Bravo Andy, your viewers is what I meant above, you schmuck. LOL!! Anyway, NMD, I would like to know how you will wean yourself away from the blog. Please keep us updated. I dgree with Cathy, it would be a shame to lose the community space and the content of the archives. I know some of you are in the group and I want to remind you all that you are so very welcome to join, friends ofLynnNChicago. Facebook group. Hey disgrazia.

  29. Rebecca says:

Well, for all its worth, here’s a mini-recap of last night’s Deadliest Catch – a REAL reality show.

As usual, we begin the season showing the preparation for the upcoming season by captains and crews.

On the Northwestern, the Hanson brothers argue about Edgar being unprepared to fish blue crabs. Sig is screaming at him that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and hasn’t asked him for any information and advice. Edgar screams back that Sig isn’t informing him of what he needs to know. They ten set off for the crabbing grounds with third Hanson brother Norman continuing the tradition of biting the head off a herring, much to the crew’s disgust.

On the Time Bandit, Andy and Jonathan let us know multiple times that they spent $1 million fixing their boat in the off-season. They replaced the engines, the mechanical parts and a large piece of the hull. As they fire up the engines and retighten all the hoses and bolts, Andy smashes his finger and Mike Fourtner to the rescue with the obligatory gory first aid. He sterilizes a needle with a blow torch to poke a hole in Andy’s nail to release the blood clotting underneath. Jonathan convinces him to do it two more times to his younger brother’s discomfort. It’s the same old, same old with these party boys.

Re-joining the crew this season is Josh Harris who is noticeably upset that he is working this boat instead of running his last father’s Cornelia Marie. We hear him explain that he had a plan worked out to take the boat out this season but was shot down by the boat’s partner and namesake. Brother Jake will not be fishing this year as he is still battling his own demons with drugs back home. Josh realizes only Jake can fix Jake now.

On the Wizard, Captain Keith and his solid crew get ready to fish blue crabs again as the quota for red King crab has been slashed again. They plan on loading the boat one time with blue before heading off the red crab grounds. Without any fighting amongst he and his brother Monty, or “Mouse,” they didn’t get a lot of airtime as they headed out to sea – first again, of course.

On the Seabrooke, Junior prepares to head to the blue crab grounds and stuff. Again, no fighting with your bro means no air time.

Wild Bill found himself a new boat for red crabs this year. He and his son Zach, have a crew aboard the Cape Caution. While smaller than Kodiak, he seems very happy with the boat, the owners and the new crew. The Cape Caution’s normal skipper Kerby stepped aside and remains onboard as the boat’s engineer and crane operator, with his son Mikey working as greenhorn. During the first string, Mikey was cautioned repeatedly to keep his back food down when releasing his buoys only to have the rope catch that foot and almost drag him overboard to the crew’s horror.

Missing from the docks at the start of departure was Elliott Neese and the Ramblin Rose. After fighting with everyone last year including his baby mama who took out a restraining order, his crew who abandoned him upon docking, and the owner who fired him, Elliott went out and bought himself a new boat. Adding his father to the crew of the Saga, one of the boats from Season One, it remains to be seen if Elliott is mature enough to handle all aspects of running the boat while keeping a happy and well-paid crew.

    • rebecca….I also enjoyed last nights adventures at sea…also the pre view show..the bait was also good… mr ford and I have made the viewing of the DEADLIEST CATCH our past time for years……lots riding on this crab season for sure……

      • Rebecca says:

The Bait replaces After the Catch. I enjoyed that a lot.

Are you looking for “opelios” when yo go to the grocery store too? I just wonder which boat they were caught on when I toss them in my wok.

        • lol rebecca…. I always give the side eye to the king crab at the seafood counter and wonder whose boat they came off of…hehehehehhee…. I much prefer THE BAIT than after the catch….it was more upbeat and at times funny…..
off to the laundry mat…grocery shopping and…PICKING UP THE PAYCHECK….WHOOT WHOOT…. big one this week and sssoooooooo well deserved…..I am still beat

      • Powell says:

Oh sugar I forgot to watch! Thks Rebecca. 🙂

  30. cocfarm says:

Nmd, welcome to the club. I think that in a world where we have people trying to blow up people who have just run 26 miles, sitting down to watch privileged women behave horribly to one another, adds insults to injury. For those who enjoy it and can detach themselves emotionally from it, more power to you. But it isn’t me. I stopped watching long ago but loved reading the chatter here. I loved the sense of “family”.

What about blogging shows other than bravo? I watched the Rancic hosted dating show last night and was surprised to find that I enjoyed it. Maybe others who want to watch bravo can write those blogs. I hate to see the family get divorced.

I read the letter you posted about and my fav line is here: ” ….got it into your little noodles that the audience loves all of the “explosive drama” ….”. I love the ‘little noodles’ reference. We have some high functioning ‘noodles’ here on this blog. We can figure this out.

    Hugs to all….

  31. Butters'Mom says:

I too have appreciated NMD taking things over and giving the blog and us a home. I was devasted by Lynn’s passing and found comfort that everyone was still together in cyber space. I don’t comment often but I do read the blog and about 1/2 the comments. (This is how I spend lunch hour so I miss the later comments). I don’t know what I’ll do without it but I understand the need for a life and NMD deserves to have one. When I complain or express shock or surprise about a HW to Butters’Dad about any of the HW shows he always responds well what do the “blog ladies” say about it. Thank you to all the “blog ladies” and the few blog dudes. It has been fun.

  32. jenneelee says:

I have been a lurker first on IHJZ and now on lynnfam. I have never left a comment but have read faithfully almost everyday. I love hearing everybodies stories and opinions. It has been a great escape for me when I have a lot on my mind. I appreciate the hardwork that goes into keeping this going, NMD and BB. I will miss it tremendously if it goes away. We are moving soon to CO from AZ and I know that I until I make new friends to keep me busy when I come here that I have Lainey and Mel to keep me laughing. I love reading Diva’s adventures. I love that Lynn’s sister, Cathy keeps in touch. AND everyones’ take that happened on each show. I can always find someone who makes me think differently or somebody who agrees with my opinion. If there is a way to keep a place for us to stay in touch or me to lurk, please let me know. Thank you NMD and BB!

  33. lizzle says:

they found the bomber. I’m listening to NPR. he is on video surveillance. I’m not sure if anyone has posted this

    • cocfarm says:

Heard it too. Holding out cheering until its confirmed. Too much jumping the gun in the media.

  34. Contessa says:

    Hi All,

First of all I am kind of confused as what NMD plans on doing…is the blog getting closed down? I understand all that goes into this, as I believe it is a full time job+ filled with aggravation and joy. I love that you did this for us NMD and you a hero to all of us here.

With regard to what happened last night with NY and Putchka, MYMAMA – so sorry you had to deal with that, it was totally uncalled for…not nice. In a time of horror the best thing we can do is be supportive of one another, and not call someone out for posting their thoughts, disagreeing is okay but calling someone out – not nice. I understand having a bad day and living through all the horrors we have been dealt in the last 10-15 years, but it has touched all of us one way or another, plus personal tragedies as well. I agree with NMD an apology is owed. NY – I hope you come back.
To all on here, if I have every been disagreeable or what is considered nasty please accept my apology, as I know I can certainly have some strong opinions. The shows are nothing, but give us a great place to congregate and share the joys of life and the travails of same, plus exchanging ideas opinions etc…I for one will be more cautious with my words going forward as I believe everything is a learning experience. I am grateful for all that everyone has input into this blog. XXOO

  35. Nancy says:

An arrest has been made in the Marathon bombing.

    • cocfarm says:

I’m waiting for a press conference before I believe it but hope hope hope its true.

      • Amalfi says:

The briefing is at 5pm ET today

      • cocfarm says:

News conference about arrest at 4pm, I assume est. hope it’s a done deal.

        • Nancy says:

I wonder if he also place the first bomb? So much hate in the world right now.

          • cocfarm says:

The ‘fingerprint’ or style of bomb is the same or so I thought, so I just assume it is the same person. Our news said the video from the store plus those from people at the event (video and photo) show the person placing it.

            • Nancy says:

Thanks. I wonder why he did it? Too bad the second bomb didn’t go off while he
              was placing it.

              • cocfarm says:

The reason doesn’t matter IMO. There is no explanation that makes it reasonable action. He will be nuts, angry, a zealot or all the above. To me, what matters is that he can never do it again.

                • Nancy says:

I agree but I do like to examine human behavior as it does help down the line.
Maybe he did show behavior before the fact that someone should have caught.

    • cocfarm says:

It is so annoying that you can’t trust anything the media reports as news. UGH. Here’s hoping there can actually be an arrest soon.

  36. not THAT Jill says:

Getting the News the second things happen is not always so great. I wish they would wait till everything is confirmed before rushing to air all this info.

    • Amalfi says:

CNN has now devoted more than five minutes to urging themselves to be cautious in jumping the gun…

Seriously, wait for confirmation rather than speculation.

  37. Good Morning! I just got home and fired up the blog and I see there is a lot going on.

First, I want to say that so much admiration, appreciation, respect and honor go to you NMD for taking over this blog at such a sad time so that we would all have a place to go and not get lost. I know how much effort and time go into keeping it going and I completely respect your need to reclaim some of that time and effort for your life and your family. It would feel strange not to have this community to come to every day anymore…but life is about change and we will be ok. Do what you need to do for yourself.

I, personally, have voiced that I hardly watch Bravo at all anymore. I can not stomach the nonsense, and like someone said upthread, in the face of things like Boston happening, these shows are such a waste. I DO come here for the community….to hear what is happening in all your lives, and to offer support and hugs when they are needed. This is such a great group of people and I feel so familiar with all of you. This blog is like a comfortable blanket we wrap ourselves in every day, and I cherish that and all of you.

Having said that…this is a powerful moment in time we are faced with. I woke up early this morning thinking about it and wrote about it over at my place.

Stop by and read today’s post, “In The Aftermath ~ Shine”. I believe it is important. And I hope it inspires you. Enjoy!

    • P.S. I also meant to mention how grateful I am for Lynn starting this blog…and then NMD taking over…because my own blog was launched because of this one. I started doing the Inspiration Page after dear Lynn passed….which led me to start my blog….so I feel a particular Love and Connection to this place and to Lynn and to you NMD. My heart overflows with Gratitude and Love.

      • Cathy Connor says:

For all the reasons you did start I am so grateful to you . Your words are a true inspiration and you are a gifted writer never stop writing ! I never want to see it end and hope that it never does..Evolve sure but stop no I hope not !! Love to you MarDrag

    • Powell says:

“This blog is like a comfortable blanket.”. I MarDrag I love everything you’ve said. But basically this line just sums up the feeling I get everyday when I come here. Those words are a tribute to Lynn & NMD. I give you a standing ovation. 🙂 ❤

  38. Lulu says:

Good afternoon all!!! today was a better day that’s for sure. I hope everyone is having a great uneventful day.

NMD I respect what you wrote about the HW’s brand. In the lot majority of them are unrelatable. The worst brand is Jersey on this. How about we make a fresh start and start blogging interesting shows. Like Midwives, Abbey, Big C (when it airs) Mad men. Like you I feel that the “HW’s” brand ran it’s course and now they are picking at straws. It just reminds me of Jon and Kate plus 8 when they were humble they were endearing to watch. Once big bucks enters it’s no longer enjoyable. I’d love to start blogging again but for the time being it’s very difficult for me. Down the road I plan on blogging again.

Why not for us really put ourselves out there and do daily “life” video’s. Each of us film a snap shot of our life, collaborate and use this blog to view it. No idea how to do this. I don’t own a camcorder? So much advice needed here! This way move over Bravo hello the “Real ladies and gentlemen of Lynn’s Family.”

  39. butterisafruit says:

O O, conflicting reports. Our local FOX is saying one report says there is an arrest another says there is not an arrest.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

Weird..I heard that the young Saudi national who was being questioned in the hospital has been cleared.
I also know that two people were taken off a plane leaving Boston..but it wasn’t said as to why.

      • butterisafruit says:

right, that story died right out. They were acting suspicious, taken off. The big problem was a piece of luggage that was unchecked and on the plane. They then put them back on the plane.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

I think after things like this happen everyone is on such high alert that even minor infractions tend to get cause flags to raised.

I am hoping that whatever group or individual who did this makes themselves known (I don’t expect they will turn themselves in…but they might write a letter) so avoid the ‘witch hunt’. I still remember what Richard Jewell being put through the ringer when he actually was/is a hero.

  40. Quick post then I’ll try to finish reading all the blogs I missed.
Jamaica was GORGEOUS and HOT, HUMID as well as unfriendly. I enjoyed my 10 days, but almost died thanks to some bug that bit me while we were painting rocks on Thursday. I brought my epi pen for some odd reason (Thank You Lynn I think you whispered in my ear that day while I packed). If not for the epi pen I would have been in dire need of epinephrine by the time the hotel’s nurse got to me. We went back 50 yrs going to her office to await the Doctors arrival. He okayed the nurse to give me 2 shots and some prescriptions. $350.00 later I left his office hyped up on epinephrine, cortisone and antihistamine.
I wrenched my right knee (the same leg I had foot surgery on in August) also my neck got kinked when I turned suddenly.
I do have to laugh because it was a bit like a walking disaster by the time we flew out Sunday.
I arrived home to 4 inches of snow on the driveway and we are supposed to get more tonight. hahahahaha
I’ve retained my sense of humor and tried watching Don’t Be Tardy last night. UGH This has got to be a show of semi acting and semi reality because there is no freakin way this is reality for them!
    Ok back to reading.

    • Nancy says:

(((Diana))) Thank God you have your epi-pen with you. Sorry to hear about your leg.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

Oh dear…I am so happy you brought your epipen.

It’s another reminder how things can just change in a instant and to always try and be prepaired.

    • Rebecca says:

Diana, my friend, it’s time for a little talk.
First off – no housework on vacation. Seriously. Hire someone else to paint rocks.
Second – you better have made a trophy out of the bug that bit you. A nice pendant or something to show him who’s boss.
Next – S-tr-etch it out before you go running around. (Seriously, if this was an injury sustained by wearing “hiking sandals” I swear I’ll lecture you like I did my aunt in Hawaii.)
Lastly – where’s our rum cake???

      • Cathy Connor says:

OMG you are crackin me up Thanks I surely needed that I told Diana she should have bit that dang bug right baclk lol…..Rebecca another gifted writer here wow am impressed with the talent here !! And jelly as well

        • Rebecca says:

Thanks! You contribute as much as anyone Cathy. You have such a great attitude for this. I know you are smiling 90% of the time you are typing.

    • Powell says:

Whew Diana! Good thinking taking you pen. I’m glad you’re,alright. You & your husband did get to enjoy some though. Welcome home. And maybe you’re safer at home. 🙂

  41. SoutheastVA says:

NMD – You were a godsend keeping this site going after Lynn’s untimely passing (miss her so much). I understand your position on the shows. They have gotten out of hand. I have missed many episodes and most of the reunion shows because my nerves can’t take the negativity anymore. My husband asked if I wanted to a glass of wine to watch the RHOA reunion show. I said no. I don’t drink often at all. I’ll be damned if they make me into a drinker all of the sudden. I love coming here mostly to see what you all are up to. I find it comforting to check in on/in with you all. We come from such varied places, age groups, backgrounds, etc but seem to have struck a cord. I know more about some of you guys than some people in my office. I actually care more about what you all go through than some of the people in my office. (I know that’s sad) If nothing else, I hope we can find a way to pop into a central location to just say hi.

    • Nancy says:

Co-Sign. NMD (and Lynn) will always have a place in my heart. We have to come up
with plan B to keep this blog going.

  42. shamrockblonde says:

*hugs NMD really hard* – we, all of us here, love and respect you -you kept us all together when our hearts were breaking over the loss of our friend Lynn – you opened your heart, gave us your time, and never once did you complain – I believe in angels – and I believe that they move among us, coming in and out of our lives, to strengthen us, comfort us, protect us and fill us with light and goodness – you are the angel in our midst – what you have given to all of us, individually and as a family, cannot be measured, nor is it meant to – it is meant to be an example of how others should participate in life, in all of the good and the bad – you shine, NMD, and as you did when we first lost Lynn, you continue to light our way – whatever your path, please know that we all stand with you – not just because we love you, but because you love us – with much love and respect – Shamrock –

I have been searching for words to address the tragedy in Boston – as a New Yorker, having lost my cousin to an act of terrorism on 9-11, I, and all of NY, can relate first hand to what the people of Boston are experiencing right now – please remember – no matter what evil comes at us – all of us – the good will always out-number it – always – we will not let evil win – WE WILL NOT – we stand with you Boston – I don’t like Stephen Colbert but he said it best, and I agree with him – here are his comments – *hugs all of Boston really hard* *hugs entire board really hard*

Whoever did this obviously didn’t know shit about the people of Boston. Cause nothing these terrorist do can shake them… for pete’s sake Boston was founded by the pilgrims, a people so tough they had to buckle their god damn hats on. It is the Cradle of the American Revolution, a city that with stood an 86 year losing streak. a city that made it through, through the big dig a construction project that backed up traffic for 16 years -I mean there are commuters that are just getting home now! Even their bands are tough its the home town of aerosmith who in their 5th decade are still going strong. even, even steven tyler looks fantastic (for a 73 year old woman)

But here is what these cowards really don’t get, they attacked the boston marathon -an event celebrating people who run 26 miles on their day off until their nipples are raw for fun. And they have been holding it in Boston since 1897. and do you know how tough you have to be to run in a whalebone corset? And when those bombs went off there were runners who after finishing the marathon kept running for another 2 miles to the hospital to donate blood.

So, heres what I know, these maniac may have tried to make life bad for the people of Boston, but all they can ever do is show just how good those people are

            • butterisafruit says:

phoned in threat. This building is always getting threats. On top of that, Obama is due to come tomorrow.

I stopped watching all but RHOBH and really only for the fun times that Brandi and Lisa and Yolanda seemed to have. Haven’t really watched the other Housewives or a new bravo show in years. Even stopped watching Top Chef seasons ago because they were casting personality over skill to fill out a plot for that show.

I came to Lynn from the mention on RHoNY (never thought their were bloggers about the show until then – big thank you to Jill Z and her husband BZarin for bring it up to Simon. google it and found Lynn) and lynnfam to read the recaps and read how everyones lives are going.

have cried some and laughed a good bit reading updates about all y’all (yep South Carolina Girl here) and your daily happenings and will miss that if this dissolves.

    • Rebecca says:

Remember when JillZ was watchable? Jill dressed like Cher showing Bethenny apartments for her and Jason 1.

Remember when Atlanta was fun? Nene and Kim trying on outfits and getting their mani-pedis on.

Remember when NJ was fun? The ladies goofing around with their kids at outdoor parties. Hell – any scene with toddler Milania put a smile on your face.

Remember when OC was fun? Jeanna, Laurie, Jo, Vicki, and Kimberly. Did you need to live in Coto de Cazo to be on this show?

We want to see these ladies laugh, not scream. It’s just all so mean now.

  45. Dana says:

All of Bravo shows are DOCU-DRAMA’s
t to be confused with docufiction.
A docudrama is documentary-style genre of radio and television programming and staged theatre that features dramatized re-enactments of actual historical events. A docudrama may be filmed or written.
In the core elements of its story a docudrama strives to adhere to known historical facts, while allowing a greater or lesser degree of dramatic license in peripheral details, and where there are gaps in the historical record. Docudrama producers sometimes choose to film their reconstructed events in the actual locations in which the historical events occurred. Dialogue may include the actual words of real-life persons, as recorded in historical documents.
As a neologism, the term docudrama is often confused with docufiction. However, unlike docufiction – which is essentially a documentary filmed in real time, incorporating some fictional elements – docudrama is filmed at a time subsequent to the events it portrays. Docudrama is also called documentary drama or it can be called Documentary Theatre.

  47. Dana says:

If you went through GoDaddy you can do what is a domain transfer. Email Support@GoDaddy if that is the place you purchased your domain.
If someone else decided to open a new blog and you want them to have your posts; you can give them access to your files to do a transfer.

People like that need to stay FAR FAR FAR away from me. lol. I understand that we all have bad days and the weirdest things can set us off at times, but I’ve seen that poster have several outbursts before over other ridiculous things or arguing for nothing… in honor of yesterday :

    Sorry I couldn’t resist lol 🙂 🙂 🙂

Please nyc mama if you are reading this come back to us as I loved your posts.

    • Rebecca says:

I haven’t had my daily POOP yet – and I’m not posting when I do.

    • TexasTart says:

Thanks for the POOP, djprincess!!! 😀 And thank you for confirming the point I made at the end of yesterdays’ blog! This person is a repeat offender and still there are some here, who encourage as much by excusing such behavior as having a bad day.

I have become very attached to the family here and appreciate everyone that shares and chats on any topic with respect to others on the board. So regardless of what is blogged here, or topics discussed, I find this to be a fabulous mix of people to shoot the breeze with. I hate to admit, but often times far more funny and interesting than people I deal with in daily life….sshhh don’t let them know I said that! 😉

      • Nancy says:

Isn’t that the truth. I have grown very close to the people here and it will break my
heart if this blog ends. Most of the people here are keepers.

      • not THAT Jill says:

Well TT-I guess you are talking about me since I’m the one who said maybe she had a bad day. I was in no way encouraging “such behavior” I was simply saying that maybe she was having a bad day! It happens. I get that it happened before-once- and she apologized and asked for forgiveness . People screw up and say dumb shit-we all do. I was just trying to be compassionate to someone who has stated that her life has not been easy. I love reading comments from nyc just as much as everyone else and I wish she would come back and post again. I just think a little compassion goes a long way sometimes. If you don’t like what was said then its your right to speak up but it’s not right to say I’m encouraging anyone to be rude in their postings. I was not doing that. I would never do that…even if I were having a bad day.

        • djprincessc says:

I wish I were as compassionate as you Jill! I’m such a hard ass, my compassion skills need to be worked on, that and my impatience. lol. Idk I have seen Putchka be argumentative for no reason several times, I get your point though.

        • TexasTart says:

Jill, of course I do not think you are encouraging anyone to be rude! You would never do that! Maybe I perceive people who address such a poster with compassion as an invite for them to return….and that’s what I mean by encouraging.

          • not THAT Jill says:

A lot of times posters say things in a comment that come off rude, condescending , passive/aggressive and just plain dumb but I don’t think anyone should be discouraged from returning. It’s not my place to decide who should or shouldn’t comment here. If I don’t want to read comments from certain posters-I don’t. That doesn’t mean I don’t want them here. If every person who insulted or hurt someone here b/c of what they posted was discouraged from coming back-this blog would be comment free. We all make mistakes and we all say things and do things that maybe we shouldn’t-but we are all still here.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

I think you are great Jill and I appreciate the point you were trying to get across.

I remember once there was a poster…I haven’t seen her post in a while and she wasn’t a regular but for some reason she seemed to take great exception to something I said and made a snippy remark directed at me. Because it did seem to come out of left field , I had a feeling the feeling that she probably wasn’t even really upset with me ..that she was just upset and I asked her if she was having a bad day.

She apologized and admitted that yes, in fact she was and shared with us some of the concerns she was having with one of children’s development. Having gone down that road with my own children (especially the oldest) I shared my experience with her. I can only hope that it gave her some encouragement and helped elevate her fears.

          • Rebecca says:

I once replied to someone about a jerk online giving them a hard time. I replied to her to hold her head up high and not let anyone drag her down or something to that effect. The poster above me responding to the same post then replied to me all up in arms because she thought I was directing my reply to her. I told her I wasn’t and my reply wasn’t “under hers” and I was not speaking about her, I was talking about the person who upset our normal poster. She then went on a tangent on how that was the rudest thing anyone said to her, but poster after poster told her she was wrong and that my post was directed to someone else. The next day she was still going on about how I attacked her and again people tried telling her the post wasn’t directed at her. I think Lynn tried correcting her every time. The FOLLOWING day she said she was leaving because she can’t believe how rude people were on this blog.

Some people are simply not sophisticated enough for online chatter. I don’t mean “classy” I mean they can’t figure out how things work. Everyone gets an opinion. Respect other poster’s feelings. Don’t tell people what to say.

When I see people fly off the rails, I’m inclined to put them on permanent ignore or tell them to leave. They will come back with the same crap, that their feelings are the only ones that matter, and I’d just prefer if they stayed away. This is supposed to be our entertainment isn’t it?

            • TexasTart says:

              Agree. Excellent examples and responses.

            • rabblerouser2010R says:

I think that is part what the potential issues are with on line discussions as ones face to face. It can be come easy to misinterpret something that is said or even who it was said too.

I used to post on a site that the topic was Jon and Kate Gosselin and looking back it was shocking how contentious it became. I know myself I had been guilty of reading something one way….and how I was feeling at the time shaped ,my interpretation of what was said…but then if I went back and read it will a clear looked totally different. I have learn since then to try and read things in mono tone instead of trying to inject one.

              • LaineyLainey says:

  51. realhousewifeva says:

NMD I totally get it…will you be closing this blog down? I’ll be sad to see it go.

I read an interview that Andy did with and he, IMO, pretty much admits that they set stuff up. Take a look at his answer to this question:

“Speaking of Kim, was there any anger over her leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”?
Well, no. It was mutual. It was something that we all did together. I mean the natural evolution was it was time for her to go and we figured out how to make it work for everybody.”

So while the viewers had a grand time discussing how Kim just stormed out, questioned how she got a spinoff after that, etc…this was all a set-up and they were probably all in on it. Makes sense why Kroy was still there and why he was allowed to threaten the cameramen.

What a joke these ‘reality’ shows have become.

  52. realhousewifeva says:

I wish the media would stop jumping the gun with the “news”. All day they said someone was arrested and now CNN is reporting no arrest has been made??
The other day it was being reported about the saudi arabian guy that was detained and questioned, and his home searched. I read tons of comments on lots of seperate articles and people pretty much had convicted this guy in their minds, they were practically lighting their torches ready to stampede, only to find out yesterday that he was just an injured innocent bystander.

    • Annie Okie says:

Similar things happened in Oklahoma in 1995 after the bombing of the federal building. There was a rush to judgment that it was the work of Arab terrorists while the domestic terrorist, Timothy McVeigh, was already in jail over a minor traffic violation. The “news” organizations that reported the so called arrest in this bombing are no more credible than Bravo’s “reality.” All should be soundly rejected and discarded for what they are, fake poop spewers.

  53. trudie says:

I don’t know if anyone is watching the Jodi Arias trial today, but I really like this witness. She is holding her own on cross-examination and comes off as well educated and well informed. She doesn’t get ruffled.

    • Nancy says:

      HI trudie,
I’m still watching it and going to CNN during the breaks, I like her too but if you aren’t
a licensed therapist that part of her professional life doesn’t count so she has only been
      practicing a few years.

    • kit9 says:

She’s great. Very credible. And, she’s not playing games like Laviolette, refusing to answer simply yes, no. Wilmont is driving me crazy, btw.

      • trudie says:

Speaking of LaViolette, she was supposed to be back in court yesterday. Do we know why? I didn’t see anything about her yesterday.

    • realhousewifeva says:

She is good. But I remember during Casey Anthony trial the prosecution witnesses were amazing while lots of the defense witnesses were a big joke…and look how that turned out.

    • kit9 says:

      “You’re confusing terms again.” Rofl!

      • Nancy says:

        Hi kit,
Do you think she’ll get the death penalty?

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

          I hope she does….

        • kit9 says:

I think they have a case that proves 1st degree murder but will they give it to her? Honestly, I don’t think they will. For no other reason than she was on the stand for soooo long that they got to see her as a human being-no matter how detestable- and that fact alone will make it hard to give her lethal injection, I think. I put myself in their shoes during her endless testimony and I found it hard imagining giving her the DP despite the fact I think she’s a cold blooded murderer who is guilty of premeditating killing Travis. And, if I found myself having trouble imagining giving her death, I think it’s likely at least one person on the jury would, too. I hope I’m wrong. Really really hope I’m wrong..but I think she’ll get life in prison.

          • Nancy says:

Personally I would rather get the DP over spending my life in a cage so either way
            I’ll be ok with it.

            • kit9 says:

I’ve seen cases where prisoners live a pretty decent life in prison as lifers. She would have interaction with other inmates, be able to do her art, work on her manifesto. It’ll drive me nuts knowing Jodi is living even a semblance of a life.

    • Powell says:

Trudie I just laughed watching last night because Jennifer called so many sidebars yesterday. This doc is good. She knows her stuff. She basically Saud that Alyce & the other doc spent too much time w/Jodi, giving Jodi books was inappropriate & they should not have had feelings of sympathy for,Jodi because it clouds their findings. Jennifer is trying so hard to say this doc is not experienced enough. After this doc finished school she decided not to take the exam to get het license right away so that she could get more hands on experience. Jennifer tried to make it seem like something else was going on that she would not get her license right away. Jennifer, Nerny & Jodi are scared. They see this doc is discrediting the defense docs. Now Jodi got “sick” this afternoon. She’s been at the defense table drawing all day.

Anyhoo, I’m on day 3 of the master cleanse (following along with yolanda) and I feel great today. Btw, for the edification of anyone interested, the cleanse isn’t so much about poop. After day one, that’s been dealt with. It’s the body purging toxins, by way of the poop shoot. 🙂
Been thinking about what l’ll eat first when done. Maybe go for Chinese and order the pupu platter? Hehehe. Crack myself up.

  57. melthehound says:

Good afternoon people.. After reading everything here I was a little confused honestly about the intent. The impression I was left with, NMD, is that you don’t want to commit to anymore Bravo shows or other Jerry Springer type drama here on the blog. I can’t say I blame you one bit. I know, first hand, what a chore it can be to write some of these recaps, especially when you’re not interested in the show itself. For every hour of program, it takes me about three to write about it (when I include pictures). Sometimes less, most times not. I don’t mind doing it though but I do apologize for flooding you with pics to upload and link each week. I know that isn’t what your issue is here but I do sometimes still feel a bit guilty lumping that extra work on you. I’m not watching many Bravo shows anymore so from my own perspective, I would be happy and very supportive of a new direction, if you see fit to continue, NMD.

Like many others, I came here in the IHJZ days when at a party, someone mentioned a hate blog on the show. I lurked for a couple months, casually posted once in awhile, and before I knew it, I was one of those prolific posters, spending 8-12 hours a day here (I’m self employed and work is sometimes pretty scarce). I can assure you of one thing though. I was not sucked in by all the bravo drama but the fun of talking about it with all of you. When Lynn died, I wrote that she had given me a great gift. The two of us didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things but the gift was no less valuable to me. Well, you all know the rest of the story because you’ve all been here longer than I have..

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

    • TexasTart says:

MTH I was wondering when you would chime in. 😉 The message was a little confusing, I was just hoping it would not be the beginning to the end….for.self-serving purposes, of course! Ha ha.

I am a bit confused by your last sentence, as I know I have not been around longer….so was this a general consensus to the fact people chatting here today are true testament to the people that Lynn brought together?

      • melthehound says:

Sorry TexasT (I can’t bring myself to call you a Tart 😉 ). I’ll fill in the blanks of My story here.

After I discovered the IHJZ (Lynn’s) Blog, 6 months or so before it became LynnNChicago, I lurked with the understanding this was primarily a group of women. Yes, a bit twisted for me to lurk, I know but I was interested in what people had to say about these shows I was watching. Then, I started posting but at the time, didn’t tell anyone who I really was. More importantly, What, I really was… a straight man. One day however, I did let the hound out of the house so to speak and told everyone who and what, I was. Fact is, until a couple months ago, no one that I know in real life knew I watched these shows so at the time, I welcomed finding a group of people interested in them too. Anyway, one day, I announced my exit because I didn’t feel I belonged here, and did leave and yes, I was serious about it, for half a day. I didn’t hissy fit stomp out of here mad, I just said my piece and quietly left. I came back (the narcissist in me) later to see if anyone cared. My typical response to a swansong post, is ‘so long sporty’ or ‘don’t let the doorknob hit you… ‘. Turns out, they did care. Many of them do not post here anymore and that actually saddens me a bit. However, I decided to stick around and see where it took me. I have to admit, it’s been a wild ride of funny stories, feuds, hurt feelings, good times, and even some bad. I’ve watched as a couple were diagnosed with cancer (the disease that took my mother) and Beat it. I cheered for them for it. Some haven’t been as lucky of course. I’ve said my share of horrible things to a few of the people here (and for that, I apologize…. Yes, Nancy, to you too). I’ve found common ground with many as well. Been able to find something of mutual interest to talk about even if it wasn’t HW related. I’ve learned a few things that have forced me to re-evaluate my own opinions on certain subjects. I’ll say it again, I’ve made some great friends here too. For the most part, this is a family type environment with usually friendly debate (please don’t start me on politics though).

The ‘Gift’ I refer to is not the blog about HWs. It is the same gift every person here has received. That is a place to meet and discuss with one another just about anything under the sun. People can pick and choose their topics, and always have from what I’ve seen. Without that ‘hate blog’ comment from BZarin, I never would have found that gift. When Lynn died, suddenly (and I don’t mind admitting, I was glad to see my 49th birthday pass by), NMD picked up that ball and ran with it. I think she scored the winning basket, touchdown, hit a bases loaded home run, and a hole in one in doing so. I say, mother phucker bravo andy and the rest of them. This blog, is not about Housewives and the rest of their bullshit, it is about the people who gather here to chat it up every day. The HWs are just something to talk about and, THAT, is the ‘Gift’ this blog has given to me. That clear it up?

For those who are addicted to reality TV and sick of all the nastiness, there is The Little Couple.
They are the sweetest people and their show will return sometime in April.

    • Nancy says:

      Hi lillybee,
I love that show. Nurse Jackie is fun too.

      • TexasTart says:

Oh, I have watched all the Nurse Jackie shows but I got rid of premium channels — so it must be back?! I’ll have to see if there’s another way to view it.

        • Nancy says:

Yes it started this week. I love the show as I’m an ER nurse. They really do it well.

          • TexasTart says:

Yes, I knew you are Nurse Nancy! Good to know the show is back, I thought it was realistic, yet I have no experience in that field. I’ll see if it’s on Hula or Online.

Lillybee the show will start April 30th at 10 pm EST.

  59. Contessa says:

NMD, can you keep the blog and let others take over the shows or we just have gab sessions here based on the shows we want to talk about? Would that work? I am tired of the physical garbage on the shows, as we have enough violence in real life, but I am sorry to say I still watch all the HW shows, we’ll see about NJ because that one got to me, but the others don’t bother me as much as that one did. I could practically feel the violence erupting from Joey Marco the most, plus the family stuff and Jaq’s craziness. These shows are my escape, plus I have a few mysteries I enjoy – Bones and NCIS,plus Mad Men. I have not watched the new show from Atlanta about the Doctors/wives as from reports these women got physical – BAD BAD message to send out for our the younger audience. Anyway these are just some of my thoughts and I would hate hate hate to lose this group, as I think all of you are extraordinarily special, considerate and I have learned a great deal from all of you and also about myself. XXOO

    • Nancy says:

Back at you. I remember the day you first posted. You have come so far. 🙂
We’ll have to figure out a way to keep this blog going.

    • TexasTart says:

Hi Contessa, how is your knee recovering?

    • melthehound says:

Married To Medicine is just plain trash. I think that was one of the final straws here. A bunch of women walking around with huge poles up their butts looking down their noses at each other, and now, getting into fist fights over gawd knows what… LA Shrinks is another new Bravo masterpiece. A bunch of people complaining to over priced ear pieces about their vaginas and peckers and what to do with them and paying these so called doctors for the privilege. 🙄

    • I Need A Life! says:

Yes, Contessa. That’s what I was thinking as well. A simple, “gab fest.” No formally presented and written blog.

I can’t find my wallet. DH has helped me look around the house, the car…I have no idea where it is. I have called the last place I remember pulling it out, the grocery store but they don’t have it.

Fortunately, so far I don’t see any unauthorized charges on any of my cards so I don’t think it was stolen..or lost then found by a dishonest person.

How many days would you wait until canceling your cards and getting your ID replaced before you gave up hope it would be found or returned.

To make matters worse, I had some lottery tickets in there..(that i didn’t sign) and I am one of those people who expects every time they check their ticket that they have found out they won. So if I don’t find the wallet and the tickets…I will have convinced myself…I lost millions of dollars. Arrg.

    • thedesigndiva2 says:

rr,,,,close your eyes and imagine the wallet…then go check the girls toybox….

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

LOL. I will actually try that..I am not kidding.

I asked the kids if they had anything to do with it but they are denying it. The youngest has admitted to going into my purse to get my phone to play with then putting it back…but that is as far as they will go. LD

    • melthehound says:

Grocery store.. Hmmm, How about the freezer or refrigerator? Maybe the pantry? Did anything distract you when you got home? Where were you at that time? Maybe one if the girlies is flushing your cash down the toilet?

How many Days? If I were concerned my credit cards were gone, it would be how fast can I get the number and get to the phone? How about a Debt card? Did you misplace one of those?

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

I will go check those areas now. Too many things to list probably distracted me when I got home,, Fortunately, the wallet was too big for them to try and swallow it…or flush down the toilet.

My debt card and all of my credit cards were in my wallet…as well as my DL. but thankfully the only purchases I can see (as I am checking on line) were ones I made.

Fortunately my green card and my SSN were not…or I would seriously be shitting myself.

        • not THAT Jill says:

Best to go ahead and cancel everything RR-it’s a pain in the ass to have to get everything reissued but the alternative can be disastrous!!!

          • rabblerouser2010R says:

Yeah…I am, just afraid the second I do that…the kids will pull it out of somewhere…

            • rr… on the off chance the girls MAY have the wallet..make it a game… tell they need to pay you for dinner and ask them to go get the money out of the wallet… we did this ONCE with PITA… he had mr fords wallet… he wanted to be a big man like dad…. lol
never touched the wallet ever again…..
              sending positive vibes your way…
              hugs and peace

I tried to make a contest and say whoever found it would win $5…they looked in their room for less then a minute then demanded cookies as a consolidation prize 🙂

        • Nancy says:

          Hi RR,
I feel your pain as I lost mine a few years ago and it had my “green card” in it.
Hopefully yours will show up soon.

          • rabblerouser2010R says:

Oh man, that must have sucked. I am getting ready to do my citizenship so that would be a big deal for me. Was your identity compromised at all?

        • Catseye says:

RR, did you stick it in a pocket maybe? Have you looked under the seats in your car? And underneath the furniture in your house? I misplace my car keys (and remote control) all the time. I’m sure it’ll show up.

          • rabblerouser2010R says:

Hi, no…it was one of those really long and super flat wallets that need to be carried in a purse. We check under the car seats…and in the glove box..which would be unlikely but no avail.

It wasn’t under the couch either but I did find the twin girl to my kids Fishprice Loving Family dollhouse and a sock…so it wasn’t a complete waste.

            • thedesigndiva2 says:

and make sure to check the grocery bags…I found my wallet in one…

              • rabblerouser2010R says:

                I will do that :0

Thanks for all the tips everyone.

Rabble, the last time this happened to me, my bank offered the option of putting a 24 hr hold on my cards(I had a debit card and a credit card with them) so nobody could charge on them but it wouldn’t cancel them. Your bank may do that, too. Worth a shot.

                  • rabblerouser2010R says:

Hi Kit, the last time I couldn’t find a card we asked them that…but they said it wasn’t an option. 😦

    • AZGirl says:

Whenever I lose my wallet I look in the space between the driver’s seat and the floor. Each time it was there. Fallen out while putting my purse in the car.

      • LavaLady says:

I would also call the grocery store again. Sometimes shifts change and the employees don’t talk to each other. Saw this happen just recently at my gym. One worker said a lost item was not there, and another worker said “It’s right here”.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

when I called to day they said they keep stuff like that in the safe…and he went to the office to check it out. but you may be right. I know when I was in the industry, sometimes things got put in a drawer at customer service until someone had a chance to bring it to the cash office.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

I guess it’s worth a shot to check again…it was a pretty thin wallet so it might have found a hiding spot. The car would have been my first guess too but I did’t see it. I even check the back of the car since I put the groceries back there.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

  61. EVENING ALL… back from all my errands and had quite an exciting afternoon…. I now have a new mindset for the evening…… OH YEA…
and here’s your giggle for the evening…just had to share…
    btw….. I never thought to use the old..I HAVE A DAUGHTER WHO’S INTO GLITTER…lol
    I just use glitter…. lol

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week.Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor’s office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn’t have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn’t going to be able to make the full effort.

So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.
I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I’m sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.
I was a little surprised when the doctor said, “My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven’t we?” I didn’t respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal .. Some shopping, cleaning, cooking. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, “Mommy, where’s my washcloth?”

I told her to get another one from the cupboard.

She replied, “No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.”

Never going back to that doctor again……….. never.

Recapping is a ton of work. I’ve practiced hoping to volunteer but it takes me hours to get anything presentable to publish. I’d be happy with a new blog every day and have it be a free for all for topics. I’ll follow along with whatever happens as long as we still have a place to congregate.

        • rabblerouser2010R says:

Well, I guess I would rather them be conservative with their updates on the progress of their investigation than to run perhaps some innocent person (or persons) name through the mud unless an arrest is imminent.

          • Nancy says:

I agree. At least they have arested the person responsible for the Ricin.

            • rabblerouser2010R says:

They did? I haven’t read about that arrest.

I heard today that initial exposure to it is mistaken as the flu, I hope as the days go on that no one has been infected.

              • Nancy says:

You would be among the lucky ones if you only got the flu symptoms. If enough

                • rabblerouser2010R says:

Oh that’s not what I meant. I meant that in the days before you die from it…people think you just have the flu..

Everything I have read about it, suggests that it is a nasty, nasty, nasty way go and even if they figure out that is the cause, there isn’t much they can do for you 😦

The President & Senatots never see all the letters they get.if people aren’t happy living here or don’t like us they need to go somewhere else.

  72. nyc mama says:

Wow. Thank you everyone for your lovely words and support. Again, I was directed to come here to read what was said and I am truly humbled.

I apologize for my reactionthe other night but I was angry…really angry. Not only at the inappropriateness of the comments about something we all do and was in context of the conversation but watching someone use their own pity party to attack others and act like they were the only person who was hurting from what happened in Boston earlier this week – we all were and no more than the actual victims and the people of Boston.

I am a compassionate person but I do not accept anyone using the backs of victims – Katrina, Boston, Sandy or 9/11 to justify bad behavior. As for 9/11, everyone in this city and elsewhere experienced the pain in one way or another and is still reeling from it. It was a defining moment in all our lives. As I stated I lost family and friends and have other friends who lost husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters… who would never behave like Putshka did. I am active with the memorial and my close friends and family are on the board. I spent part of yesterday with the friend as I explained who was in Boston on Monday and the other part of the day helping to prepare for the upcoming Family Day/5k Race commemorating 9/11 in support of the Museum and Memorial, taking place this Sunday, as I did again today. Many are wondering if we should do it or not in light of the events this week and many are fearful for our families. So as cold as this may sound to you I found her words not only offensive but again, using 9/11 as a justification for belittling anyone, abhorrent. I have a thick skin and can take a lot but everyone has their breaking point and Putshka pushed that button.

My tolerance for vapid, self-centered women (and men) as we watch on so many of Bravo shows this week is small so that, combined with that post, just lit my fuse and I had enough.

I have come to care for so many of you and enjoy our interaction greatly. You are all so interesting and even when we disagree I usually find something to think about and perhaps change my perspective – sometimes not :). It is a wonderful place to come and have fun, learn, share, snark, even when we disagree, it is taken mostly lightheartedly and is not offensive. Laughing about “the box” the other day was hysterical and had me smiling when I went to sleep that night. I would love to have you all over for tea so I could serve dry brownies and cupcakes and rose wine…well most of you. 😉

NMD a thank you for your words and all you do with this blog, and everyone else who again, said such lovely things to me and about me, too many to name individually and I don’t want to chance leaving anyone out. I have read all your posts and again, am humbled. Know as much as you expressed your appreciation for my participation, I appreciate you and yours. And NMD, I understand that this blog must become a burden at times and kudos to you for putting so much into it. I understand why you are feeling as you do so no matter what you decide to do and whichever way you decide to take this, you are a special person who added to many people’s lives just by opening a door to let people vent about these ridiculous shows and the loss of Lynn, who, although I wasn’t actively posting at the time, felt her loss as well since I had read her blog for so many years and knew her passion for the shows and all of you that participated with her. So thank you.

I am not a drama queen and didn’t post that I was leaving for effect or sympathy or empathy. Again, I was PISSED and I was dead serious and simply didn’t want to deal with selfish, self-centered idiots like I felt the poster who came on to attack me was and again, I was tired and weary when I read it (no excuse but a reason). I am still tired and weary and can’t bear to turn on Bravo right now because I just want to throw a shoe at the TV when I find idiots like Kenya, Faye and the others we all know too well on the screen. So I will breathe, make a decision on whether I will be participating in the walk on Sunday and if I will continue to post and if I do, will hopefully come back a better, calmer person than I was the other night. I don’t need an apology from Putchka, she is the one with anger issues not me. I will just feel sorry for anyone like her who takes nonsense so seriously — and finds poop upsetting. And thank you all for the very funny comments on what we all do naturally. I actually LOL’d. Perspective is a great thing.

Hugs to you all. You are all very special and again THANK YOU!!!!

Bhahahahahha. OMG I am DYING, seriously DYING of laughter from all of this.

And that picture is just too funny.

It reminds me of something that happened at my daughters school a couple of weeks ago. They were working on their performance about community helpers (firemen*,garbage men*, police men* *men/women,ect) . I was helping in the class and in the center I was doing, the kids had to draw a picture of their dad and say what he does for a living..and their moms and what they did for a living. The teacher showed me an example of a kid who said her mom was a teacher and drew a picture but said that her dad didn’t do anything..he just surfs and surfs and surfs (the dad is actually a nurse).

So anyway, I ended up with DD at my table and she draws a picture of DH at a computer and says (I had to write it down for the kids). My dad works all day long to make us money (dh is a software developer).

You want to know what she did for me? Not a picture of me cooking, cleaning, driving her places, or helping out in the class…but a picture of me all at the computer (but she drew me all in pink so I looked naked) and the quote was “My mom plays on the computer all day long and sticks her tongue out at me”

I was so happy to see you post and let it all out. We all want you here and you had every right to be pissed off. I felt the same way when I read the comment. You have gone through enough and the pity party was inexcusable. You were discussing a topic where everyone was interested and it was light hearted and health related. In context to that conversation I will use the words of Yolanda from BH – who in the world is Putchka? As I said upthread and you so eloquently wrote, everyone here has been touched by all the tragedies and horrors that have struck our beloved country and personal tragedies as well. Please please please say here and drop in once you get through this weekend. Sending you lots of XXOO

I want to thank you for posting all the info about the cleanse, I learn SO much from everyone (including a couple of the housewives :D). I went back and read what Putchka wrote and I maybe it’s just me, but I think she’s just overwhelmed with all the horrific news. One thing after another, every couple of months. I’ve had enough of my own personal struggles with disability, job loss, deaths of both my stepfather and stepsister over the past 5 yrs, to know that you can reach overload regardless of how optimistic you try to be. And to everyone, we ALL came from the Universe–just the odds of us even ending up on this planet, as living beings, able to communicate with each other over such vast distances, is daunting. I hope that everyone can be given the benefit of a doubt in how written words might be misunderstood and know that we are more alike than we are different.
And RR, I hope you’ve found that d*mn wallet, by now! Maybe you need to go back to the grocery store and look in some trash cans if you haven’t already!

This is a very interesting theory on what went down with Phaedra and NeNe’s estranged family!!

    • Contessa says:

Jill, thanks for posting this, it was a very interesting read. I always felt that Phaedra knew Nene’s family, but at a distance. Nene version of know/knowing is different than Phaedras, just like the flirting with Peter – she said she didn’t flirt with him and even Andy her biggest supporter called her on it during the reunion. I think it is all about setting up the new shows coming up and Nene said on twitter she is getting ready to film her 3rd show…that must be her wedding??? What did you think of the article?

      • not THAT Jill says:

The article made sense-I mean it’s all speculation but I could get behind this theory-it’s believable…you think so?
I can’t believe Bravo would really air her wedding to her ex husband-but as we can see from Bravo-they will put anything on the TV!! I like NeNe but I think her being on her own show-spinoff-she won’t have the ladies to help her be funny. All of her best lines are said when she is mad at the ladies so who is she going to play off of??

OMG, this is like really important, I just checked my email and this really popular guy from high school wants to be friends with me on facebook, LOLOLOL!!!!! My 16 year old self is dying!!!! I graduated in 1976! This is too funny to me and I thought you would all get a kick out of it, no shit!!!!

    • Powell says:

Hahaha LOL! That’s too funny. 🙂

    • not THAT Jill says:

You are going to be soooo popular now too!!! Did you accept his request? Did you see his picture? Did he age well???

    • AZGirl says:

PP that is so funny..I graduated in 76 and the popular guys are not looking all that great 🙂

    • Catseye says:

That’s really neat! I graduated in ’76, too!

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

Does he still have all his hair? How did he turn out?

    • nyc mama says:

It must be old home week on facebook. Sunday night my exBF friended me. He broke my heart (cheater) after a 3 years relationship.

The universe has a wicked sense of humor…
he was so good looking, great body (athlete), dark curly hair, big blue eyes,…now meh. What little hair is left is white, he’s fat, and his beautiful blue eyes can’t be seen behind his glasses. I sat with my mouth open for a good 2 minutes and then just burst out laughing. I would have walked by him if I met him in the street.

      Sweet revenge.

      • princesspindy says:

That is Karma!! I have to friend him to see his timeline…..I will let him wait till tomorrow, lol.. He looks like a fireman or cop to me… Pretty good hairline, he looks ok but I don’t know how old the picture is, ha!. The guys I saw at my 30th reunion were in really bad shape, lol!

  78. djprincessc says:

I just read this article about the REAL reason why Nene and Phaedra got into the argument on the reunion, and what really happened but I’m kinda confused. Help me out ladies!! lol

    • not THAT Jill says:

dj-I just posted that link above-its interesting!!…what are you confused about-I will try to help you through this made up drama!!!

      • djprincessc says:

Did you?? I’m sorry I didn’t see! lol. I’m not as confused now, I re-read it. So is it true you think?? I mean Phaedra just sat there quiet when Nene went off at the reunion, I guess I’ still confused as to why she didn’t speak up more, so thats what makes me think Nene was telling the truth. IDK, lol.

        • not THAT Jill says:

I think NeNe was telling the truth. I’m sure Phaedra was talking with her family but I think NeNe did know Phaedra back in the day and I can’t figure out why she is lying about it.

          • djprincessc says:

Hmmmm?? Right, I agree with you as I can’t figure out that part either.

            • Contessa says:

I think that Phaedra said the sisters approached her first by coming to her office (probably when she went on the show and they probably all knew one another from a distance), and she then invited them to her son’s b’day party to get back at Nene for being a bit nasty to her. Also I believe there is a lot of dysfunction in Nene’s family as she was raised by her grandmother, but her Mom raised her other sisters. I believe she had Nene very young and than went on to marry and have a family. There are bound to be hard feelings there. Now that Nene is “rich” and successful I have no doubt they are reconciling and going on and on about how Phaedra pumped them…but remember they went to her first. I think Nene was a bit off base to be doing all that screaming and hollering…and she also said she has a 3rd show coming up on her twitter. I believe the 3rd show is a Bravo show about her wedding. Maybe she is making up with her sisters for the wedding??? Who knows, but best not to get involved in family drama, as it definitely comes back to bit you on your pooper (had to use that word – LMAO).

              • not THAT Jill says:

I think it’s true that NeNes family went to Phaedra first then got back together with NeNe and sold out Phaedra-what I would like to know is what role did Sheree and WIG play in this??!!??

This is interesting. Adrienne and Dr Paul didn’t own the house they taped in they were renting it for $20,000/mo. Christine Aguilera just bought it.

  80. Hi Everyone,

First of all thank you for all the kind words.

I want to reassure you that I’m not planning on shutting off the blog. Even if the name expires it will just go back to and stay here forever like RealCityHousewives’s old wordpress blog – so please don’t worry about that.

I just don’t think I have it in me to give it much energy anymore. I think of Daily Blogs like homework – and start to dread them as I go to sleep. But I’ll keep posting what I receive – probably on a random schedule.

    Oh – and poop.

rabblerouser2010R —-Your daughters performance is so cute. TY.

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

      Thanks Boston.

I think one of the sweetest sounds in the world is the sound of children singing and being joyful. BTW my girl was the one second to the left (the viewers left) ..and it looked like she had duck feet 🙂

  82. boston02127 says:

I can’t sleep. My mind won’t shut off. I just watched that show called My Crazy Obsession. One lady owned a squirrel and dressed it up, she had more cloths than I own for the squirrel. Another grown couple had a doll collection and “talked” for the dolls. Had toys & swings for them.

It’s just such a stupid show but all I could think of is, what a way to live. 12 hours a day playing dress up with a squirrel. No worries, all smiles, just happy people.

    • djprincessc says:

The creepiest ones I saw were about the guy who had sex with his car and the guy who was obsessed and had sex with balloons(actually didn’t ever see it, just a preview of it) Oh and a woman who was eating her husbands ashes outta the urn, I think it was her husband, lol I know it was a relative.

      • boston02127 says:

I didn’t see those! The shows I just watched were simpletons. Happy in their own little worlds. I’d probably have a nervous breakdown trying to live like they do. But they seem so happy. (maybe dumb)

        • djprincessc says:

I’ve been kinda traumatized by that show. I always forget what time its on so I never see it anymore. I’ve seen the simpleton ones too and those people are weird just in a different way. lol.

      • melthehound says:

The shit people will do to get on television. Sheesh… Sex with the car huh? Was it the gas fill hole, the oil fill hole, the exhaust pipe (slightly warmed) or was he one of those freaky types that likes the cigarette lighter hole for that Extra charge? Did he use foreplay or did he just walk right up and jam it right in? Sick people (including me who just asked all those questions 😆 ).

    • nyc mama says:

Who’s the fools? 😉 Ponder that.

  83. boston02127 says:

Nancy—i saved this for you. i’ve had it posted on my computer for about a week. people are using this instead of the traditional wedding music processional.

  84. My 2 cents. I might have some insight here, since I am a professional blogger (I get paid!) NMD you can transfer the domain name and the wordpress log in etc to someone else. I’m not an attorney but honestly it’s a sale or hand off like anything else in life and you would not be culpable if you are no longer the head person in charge. Alternatively – I’ve another suggestion. Why not a free forum? A forum has many advantages. First categories can be set up for each show, then anyone who wants to write recaps for that show can post them directly. There is no need to have one person who does all the work. Any comments posted in a forum require someone to be logged into the forum to be able to read them – which means our comments aren’t out here for public display. Additionally multiple moderators can be set up to handle any maintenance burdens that ordinarily fall to one person. If anyone wants me to set up a forum – let me know. (show of hands).
