Rachel Zoe Project / It’s a Brad Brad World / Survivor Caramoan – Revenge of the Nerd

A big thank you to Amy and Johanna for blogging Fashion Night by Bravo – it was a short season, but a fun one

Rachel Zoe Project by Amy

Well it’s the season finale, seems like it really just flew by. We open on Rachel and Rodger in bed with Rodger bothering her again about having another baby. He uses the “you’re not getting any younger” argument. (Seriously!) At the office everyone talks about Rachel’s new book. To prep for her cover photoshoot, some of the ladies are looking through Rachel’s archives for outfits. Rachel talks again about how she is uncomfortable being out front and visible. She wears the dress that William brought from London and really wants it to be the cover dress but feels that it’s too structured. They try to get Rachel in color but she is not a fan, especially when it’s pink. They get in her in the pink dress and she immediately has to change her nail polish. She feels like Barbie.

William arrives with caviar and Rachel says “caviar and couture” make a perfect day. (Personally, I find caviar disgusting but that could be due to my unfortunate memories of raising trout from eggs in my ecology class. I’ve been told the proper way to eat it is on buttered bread though.) The assistants move one of Rachel’s rugs and hope she won’t notice and freak out. Rachel changes into a gold lamé dress. She mentions that she wore gold lamé for her Bat Mitzvah and says ‘it was the 80s!” (My only experience with it was the pair of velcro gold lamé sneakers my grandmother used to wear.)

Rachel talks about how she has changed in the last few years. William talks about glamoflage, choosing an outfit to display a character.  Skyler appears and Rachel is so excited. They want to have a family portrait done for the book. They dress Skyler in Gucci (of course). She and Rodger reminisce about when Rachel started styling and how far they have come as a couple.

Rachel is working on her lookbook. Rodger goes shopping a children’s clothing store because he is tired of Skyler wearing designer. He wants Skyler to look cool and have fun things to play in, instead of cashmere. Michael comes back to LA to work on the lookbook but first Rachel must show him her closet. She says she still loves getting lost in her closet, like she did in her mom’s closet when she was little. She calls her mom the “Jewish Elizabeth Taylor”. She talks about how she had to wait this long to have a child because she “had to be an adult first” and talks about how much she loves Skyler.

After her closet adventures, Rodger comes in with Skyler in his new clothes. Rachel can’t believe the clothes that Rodger has bought. She tells Skyler he can wear them for sporting and on Sundays with the boys. But admits that he looks cute in a Grateful Dead t-shirt. The commercial interlude is Rachel and Rodger talking about their childhood in Skyler’s play kitchen.

The day of the lookbook shoot and they want it to be contemporary. Rachel wants to be thought of as a fashion designer and stylist. She wants people to buy her clothes because they love them, not because they are her clothes. She wants her style to be a little tougher looking. Rachel says that it’s unbelievable to her when she is styling her clothes on a model. They hit upon a look that no one can agree on. They finally switch out a sweater for a jacket and suddenly everything works. Rachel says she loves being a designer and she wants to keep trying. This season was definitely focused on the two newest parts of Rachel’s life, Skyler and her collection. While I’m not sure most people are interested in those, I think Rachel and Rodger’s personalities work well enough to keep the show engaging. It’s been fun blogging for everyone thank you for reading!

It’s a Brad, Brad World by Johanna

Season finale time!! The episode starts in Brad’s office. They are preparing to fit Stacy Kiebler. Brad has been working with her for about a year. They will be fitting her for the American Music Awards. She will be presenting and Brad will also be doing some hosting on the red carpet for the event. Brad says that they will have to be pulling locally in California because Hurricane Sandy had just hit New York a week prior. He says he’s never seen the studio so empty but he believes if they are aggressive they will be able to find what they need. Thomas and Brad are go to a showroom and start pulling. There are a bunch of GORGEOUS Jenny Packem dresses. They look at a red Georges Chakra dress, and a few others by the designer. In Brad’s voice over he says that as a presenter you need to make a splash, so you need sparkle, splash and glam!

Back at Brad and Gary’s house, they are preparing for their parents to see the house for the first time. Brad’s sister and mother arrive along with Gary’s parents. Their mom’s will be preparing a dinner for family and friends at some point during their stay. Brad and Gary show everyone the house. Gary jokes that a running theme for them is anytime they hold a dinner party someone always comes and cooks it for them, Gary says he recommends it! Brad shows them “his part of the house” where they see all his clothes and shoes displayed. Damn, Brad has a lot of shoes!! Love it!!

At the office Brad and Thomas are going over a bunch of clothes they have pulled for Stacy. Brad comments that fittings with Stacey are like a “never ending fist pump”. He’s excited to see what she picks because everything they have pulled is super strong. Stacy arrives..Brad says he’s stressed because this is the last time he gets to see her before she goes away prior to the AMA’s and he only has a fraction of the dresses he needs. He is hoping that there will be at least three strong looks they can put together for her.

Side note, I love all Brad’s Old Navy Commercials..

Back to the fitting, Brad asks Stacy if she’s ever presented before and she says she has not! Their first look is a black Pucci dress, they all love it of course. She really does look super glam! The next look is a black Lassiege (spelling?) It’s very fringe-y. They all agree that although it would be great for a photo shoot because of the movement of the dress, it doesn’t work for the AMA’s. Next look is a silver sparkley Collette Dinnigan dress. It’s a contender. Next is a Monique Lhullier, beautiful, and last is a Jenny Packham black with gold sparkles gown. It’s maj to use a Zoe-ism. Brad says it’s a fresh approach to a peekaboo. The next look is another Monique Lhullier that appears to be red leather. Brad says that it’s edgy and sophisticated but they don’t love it. There are three looks they love (exactly what Brad was hoping for!). He says she may not choose the dress until the day of the event so he is going to make sure everything is tailored and ready for her to choose from.

At B and G’s house, the mother’s are preparing dinner as other friends and family show up for their first dinner party at the new house! Brad and Gary are both excited. It’s so cute. Thomas, Hanna and Lindsay are all there. There’s so much food, it’s making me hungry..Gary says he loves how his mother is bonding with Brad’s mother. They have only known each other for about a year and they are good girlfriends now. Gary is going to be moving to London for two and a half months for his new show and Brad says he now has to be for Gary what Gary has been for him the past two years- a really good wife 🙂 Everyone digs into the food (yeah, I need a snack! Wish it could be what is one their table!). Brad sits with his employees outside and thanks them for all of their hard work and how they conduct themselves because all the clients love them! They do a hands in and say “We all deserve it” as the camera pans out to a shot of the house… How sweet.

This RHONJ promo is too much, seriously…

In the office, they are looking at pictures from the AMA’s. She picked the Collete Dinnigan mini dress. It had the right amount of pop but it was elegant and still sexy (I quoted Brad verbatim). They raised the hem on her dress six inches. He says they were on trend- Taylor Swift and Heidi Klum were both wearing short sparkley dresses.

Brad does a talking head talking about all they have accomplished in such a short amount of time… “What more could you ask for?”

Come Over To The Dark Side

sur1Welcome back Castaways. Last week in what I thought was one of the most beautiful Survivor moves Ever, Pinky was squeezed out by the new group known as The Three Amigos. Back at camp everyone is slapping them on the back for taking out ‘the specialist’. Reynold says it was worth three idols to get rid of him. Hold that thought Reynold. Malcolm knows this is a tight group and he’s hoping that now that the leader is gone, it may fracture the group. Sooner or later, it’s going to have to happen. TH Erik notes that now he can talk to the people that he was previously forbidden to talk to. Now he can choose which option is better for him. The Three Amigos or the remaining favorites, and Sherri. Now, the three amigos will have to keep winning challenges or get some of the others to come to their side in order to keep going. They believe they have Erik and approach Sherri to join them. Guys, I’ve said it before and I’m surprised you couldn’t hear me, Never trust a smiling cat.

Day 29, Brenda is starving and her entire game has been blown out of the water. I guess she was hoping on somebody being there at the end for everyone to hate so she can win. I’m sure that’s what a few of the others were hoping for too. There’s tree mail, with cash.. It reads “Yep, 500 bucks in cash… Do you really need a little poem?”. Love they get to the point of it. Survivor watchers know what that means. The food auction. TH Malcolm notes that he has to conserve his money for the advantage that always gets offered. As hungry as he is, he hates the thought of not bidding for food, but he needs all the help he can get.

Probst ushers in the bidders and lays out the rules. No sharing of money, no sharing of prizes. Bids have to be in $20 increments and the auction can end at any time. There is always at least one item offered up that is an advantage of some sort.  Probst sets a bottle of beer and a bowl of nuts on the table and starts to say that the first 20 takes it. Malcolm doesn’t let him finish saying that and takes it. Added bonus, 2 more cold beers and a bowl of pretzels. In auction terms, probably the bargain of the night. Next is a blind item. Reynold takes it after a bidding war between the others for $180. However, before he’s allowed to see his prize, he is presented with two more options. He can switch if he likes. Cochran suggests that he switches because it’s always a better item. Let’s make a deal. Reynold says he doesn’t trust Cochran so he’s going to stay with the item he bought. What did he pay $180 for? A slice of pizza. Looked rather greasy and gross to me… Like I said, Malcolm got the food bargain of the day. Under cover number 3, a rotten coconut. Under cover number 2? The rest of the pizza his slice came from. Reynold takes his slice and before Probst can say another word, Sherri offers $500 for the rest of the pizza. Probst accepts her offer, she’s out of the auction. The next item is a full roasted chicken. Dawn immediately plunks down her $500 for it. She too is out of the auction now but she has the most expensive chicken I’ve ever seen. The next item, is information about the game. Malcolm coughs up his remaining $480 for it. Only a $500 bid can beat him, none of the others offer it up. It is a clue and description of where another hidden idol is buried. He has 60 seconds to read a memorize it.

Next is a blind item. Brenda opens for $100, Andrea jumps in with $200, Erik $260, Andrea wins it for $280. Brenda is askeered she’s going to end up with something bad so she doesn’t challenge any of these bids. The prize, spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and wine. Except for the wine, it looked pretty good to me. Before she can touch it though, she’s given the option of trading it for a bag of rice and a bag of beans. She takes the trade for the entire group. Nice.. Next item, an advantage in the next immunity challenge. Reynold opens at $300, Brenda ups it to $320, Cochran takes it for $340. Next is a blind item. Eddie starts to make a bid but Brenda jumps in with $300 and wins. Probst notes that her whole dilemma in this game has been getting stuck with the boobie prize. Know what she bought? Pig Brains. Guess what folks, She doesn’t eat pork. She remembers this after she takes a spoonful and wonders if it good for you. Probst has no idea. This girl must Really be hungry. Next item, letters from home. No bid needed, they cost $20 each. Only those with remaining cash will get them and that means Malcolm, Sherri, and Dawn, will get none. Dawn notes that she is crazy paying $500 for a chicken when she could have had letters for $20… (Dawn, you have played before. I don’t think you made it to the auction but I’m betting you have watched. Let’s not see any tears about missing out on this prize. Just enjoy your chicken). One last item.. A blind item with a twist. Brenda bids her remaining $180 and Eddie takes it for $200. It is a huge bowl of peanut butter. This is to be shared right there for the next 60 seconds. Whatever is on their hands, on their face, or in their mouth, can go back to camp with them. Whatever is in the bowl, stays behind. Have fun kiddies.

Back at camp after they all read their letters Malcolm and Reynold are courting Sherri. Promising her a final 5 guarantee. With her and Erik, they want to take out Cochran. That’s Reynold’s thinking anyway. TH Sherri says why not join them? Whatever it takes to get to the end for her. That night, Malcolm breaks away from the camp to try and find that idol. This doesn’t go unnoticed as Andrea and Cochran join him at the site where he’s digging. She just sits there and won’t leave, Malcolm won’t dig while she’s there, they both go back to camp. She’s like the little sister he can’t get rid of. She’s getting on my last nerve too. (I have a niece with that same name and she annoys the hell out of me as well).

Let’s get to an immunity challenge.

Here is the object of the game. Each player has to hold these poles with one hand by the rope tied to the tops of them. At 5 minute intervals, they have to extend the lead on the rope by moving to the next knot closest to the end of the rope. For those who make it to the final part of this, it will be just rope, no knots. At the first knot these posts are the equivalent of one third of their body weight when they started. The more the pole leans, the more weight they are holding up. If the pole drops, they are out of the game. Cochran had a game advantage that he bought in the auction. That advantage is that at any time, he can go back up as many as two knots. That is, he can go 10 minutes for two knots, and then go back to the beginning while the others must continue on. TH Eddie still doesn’t think Cochran is a physical threat in this game. Hold that thought Eddie. I don’t think Cochran made it to the second knot before he used that advantage. (He did – he used it just as they moved to the second knot  – NMD)  I would have waited at least two but he went back to the beginning anyway. By the way, they cannot switch hands either. In the end, it comes down to Cochran and Eddie who, has no more knots to keep the rope from slipping while Cochran does. Cochran wins immunity. He struts over to Probst to collect his prize, the immunity necklace and we will note for the record, this makes him the most winning individual immunity challenge winner in this particular game. Sometimes, brains wins over brawn. I’ll note that in a purely brawn challenge, Cochran may not stand a chance against the others, if they are still there.

Back at camp in the backstabbing part of the show, Malcolm still can’t shake Andrea. She’s on him like stink on pooh so he can’t find that idol in peace. Of course she’s still offended that her name has been mentioned and even written down. I mean, how dare they, vote for Queen Andrea to go home? Don’t they know this is her game to win? Sheesh.. The nerve. So, Malcolm decides to just convince everyone he’s found an idol, again. He and Sherri make a pinky swear to vote out Andrea. Reynold and Eddie will do the same with the knowledge, that Andrea loves a split vote. So, if all goes well for him, Malcolm won’t need an idol because the count will be 4 for Andrea, 3 for him or one of the other amigos, and 2 for another one. If it goes as he plans. Cochran floats the idea of all of them just voting for one person then, it won’t matter what the three amigos do. Erik is running back and fourth between groups trying to figure out what his play is going to be. He’s convinced he is the deciding vote. Sherri is convinced that she holds all the power here. Let’s see what really happens because we know, that regardless of intentions or promises, nothing ever goes as planned (as we are shown in the edits).

Tribal council

Sorry folks. This one isn’t as exciting as last weeks’. It would be hard to top that one. There is some Probsting but not a whole lot. Andrea through most of it has an evil grin on her face, that I want to scrub off with a brillo pad and so does Sherri. The Amigos are feeling confident in their plan and I’m sure everyone else is. The tribe votes. It’s 3:3:3 for Andrea, Malcolm, and Reynold. Re-vote, the three of them can’t vote and all votes must be for one of them. I guess Sherri’s pinky swear doesn’t mean a damn thing. As I’ve said with this one, Never trust a smiling cat (Cheshire cat that is). The votes come back in, and again, the hidden idol is asked for. None is played, the votes are read, Malcolm is gone. Cochran, BTW, took great joy in voting for Malcolm, both times. Malcolm says it didn’t matter if he found the idol or not, he would not have played it anyway. He thought he had the numbers to get rid of Andrea. I wish he had.

As beautiful as last week’s council was, I noted that it wasn’t perfect. Every time a hidden idol was played so far in this game, it wasn’t needed. For their plan to work, all that was needed was for one of the alliance to flip and that was Erik. If they had him on board from the start, that is, pre-planned during last week’s backstabbing sessions, they could have bounced Pinky without playing the hidden idols.  At least one of them could have stayed in play but with Erik’s vote, there weren’t enough votes to send either Malcolm or Eddie home last week. Of course Malcolm knew that he would have a huge target on his back come this week’s council but the fun sponge was gone.

Watch it here  at your leisure. Close ad and watch as free user – Start Video (you may have to press play as well). Download nothing and just close any pop up windows. Some players may ask you to enter a word or phrase to proceed. I’ve tried that, successfully, with no ill-affects that I could see. That is, I’m suggesting it’s safe to do so. Ask if you need help with that. You can also watch at CBS.COM (with the commercials and it is torture because you can’t skip them).

See you next week. Til then,

Peace, MTH aka WTFIJeff

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday eve. 😀 It’s a nice day out today. I hope you all have good weather & hope the water is receding in Illinois & other areas. Have a great day.

    • ladebra says:

It sure got people talking. And she is in great shape.

It doesn’t look comfortable. Maybe none of those red carpet dresses are comfortable.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I think it is as annoying as she is!! She gets on my nerves-but I must admit if that dumb movie Shallow Hal comes on I can’t turn it off…idk why???

    • SoutheastVA says:

I think the dress is ugly & tacky. The only outfit I like of all the pictures was the yello dress on Chelsea Kane (who is she?)and the onsie the sleeping baby is wearing in Tracy Anderson’s arms (who is she?).

      • SoutheastVA says:

yellow not yello (I really need to start proofreading before I click on post comment)

    • LaineyLainey says:

It’s an unfortunate dress. she works out 2 hours a day. wow.

    • lizzle says:

It is frumpy and revealing all at the same time. I’m not a fan of the dress.

    • Kansas Girl says:

I have a story about her and why she’s not all that well thought of around here. There was a picture of her some years ago, wearing a type of Birkenstock sandal that was no longer made. The local Birk place contacted her people, suggesting that through their connections they could get her a new pair of that type, even tho the sandals were out of production. The answer from her people was that Ms. Paltrow does not BUY her shoes, but if the store was offering to GIVE her a pair, she might consider it.

And poof! In one snooty comment, she fell from heaven!

    • Amalfi says:

It is one of those inexplicable things…. I want to like her. She come across as trying too hard to look like she is not trying too hard. You know like the moms who say I am skinny because I chase my kids around all day. What the f – ever.

      Haha…poor girl. She can’t win.

    • kit9 says:

That dress is hideous! Awful. Just awful.

  2. Rachel Zoe’s closet made me feel sorry for all the interns that worked their fingers to the bone for her while she was hoarding designer clothes. Toooo much. It was supposed to impress us, but it made me feel sad for the clothes because most will never be worn.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

She has such a ridiculous amount of clothes that she actually “archives” them…seriously?? I can’t even imagine!! On Dukes of Melrose they show closets of some pretty famous people with a lot of designer clothes but nothing compares to what Rachel has collected over the years.

    • Powell says:

I love that she loves clothes but she’s obsessed.

  3. Cathy Connor says:

Good Morning, Thanks Powell, it is bright and sunny here going to be high 50s here today and looking good the next seven days 70s and nice here in Illinois.People need a whole lot of dry sunny days some entire towns have been declared disaster areas You can see all the belongings on the curb.. But the upside was little to no injuries anywhere here Thank God

NMD you are too cute feelin sorry for Rachels clothes lol Imagine the Dukes of Melrose invading her closet that would be fun to watch !!!

Have a super duper day all !!

  4. ladebra says:

Second week in a row I watched Survivor. Love your POV Mel. I admit I don’t know all the personalities, but If I was Malcolm I would have kept looking for the idol. Hindsight is always 20/20 but that would have been the best use of his time. And the other two amigos should have worked the lady and the man they targeted to flip. But if I’m sitting in the busted alliance, I wouldn’t want the amigos to make it further in the game. They are too strong. And I wouldn’t want to sit next to them at the end either.

Oh well, it will be interesting to see if the remaining amigos can evict some others before they are voted out.

    • melthehound says:

I think he should have as well, LaDebra… The others already knew he likely had a clue of it’s whereabouts. We’ll see who winds up with it now.

      • jules says:

I agree about Malcolm too. I know you find Andrea grating MTH but I though it was hilarious and great gamesmenship (if that’s even a word) that she wouldn’t let him out of her sight. He should have just walked all over the jungle and hope that she got bored and left. Instead he just stayed at the well so she knew the idol was there somewhere.

Honestly, I find most of the contestants annoying this season. Brenda with the whining about the auction nearly put me over the edge. Although I understand her concern, just bite the bullet and bid for Pete’s sake. And I don’t understand how Brenda and Sherri have managed to stay so long. My husband, who doesn’t normally watch Survivor, was watching with me last night. I was telling him this about Sherri and he said maybe she should win the game. If she manages to get that far without doing much, then she deserves it. I suppose that’s true but it makes me crazy when a player who’s just riding on another’s coattails wins. The only one I like even a little is Cochran and that’s because he’s such a student of the game. He appreciates every move made because he understands it so well. Even though he knows what a poor athlete he is, he’s kept himself in the game. I admire that tenacity.

        • melthehound says:

I know they’re all playing a game and for the most part, I don’t take their game personalities as true reality. I won’t say that about all of them I’ve ever seen but, my comments refer specifically to the game itself. Sherri for example, owns fast food franchises. She’s no fool. She has stayed in the game by knowing who to hide behind. She isn’t particularly good at the challenges and in fact, she’s kind of terrible at them. I don’t get why Brenda is still there except the possibility that she too does a good job of hiding. I agree… Found money, and even when she had the chance to bid on something known good, she didn’t. I hope she enjoyed those brains, even though she doesn’t eat pork. Dawn, I’m over her and her weepfests. I also think Cochran is doing a good job. He better be careful how c0cky he becomes though.

    • Boobah says:

That’s exactly what I thought also. Why did Malcolm stop looking for the idol? Who cares if anyone knew he had it. I wonder if he stopped looking because when he started to dig, maybe Andrea would have started to dig/look around around that area as well. And that would have been crazy if she actually found it!

      • melthehound says:

I agree, Malcom should have just kept going.. Would he have played it if he had found it? He says not, I say he would have. It would be the only time it would have actually saved him in the game. Then, either Reynold or Andrea would be gone instead of him.

    • trudie says:

I do not understand why anyone with a desire to win this competition would even buy the food. If they have watched any past seasons, they would know that there is always some kind of game advantage auctioned off. I know they are hungry, but is the food really worth it?

  5. Cathy Connor says:

Cant wait till lunch and can read all the blogs , only had time to skip to comments for now ! This darn job gettin in the way of me enjoying my mornings Why couldnt I have been born rich instead of beautiful like Gweneth lol chat later sweeties

  6. HuskerHuny says:

It’s a GREAT DAY!!! Sunny, warmer and no SNOW!!! I feel great!

I love Rachael Zoe and the show. She has some annoying quirks for sure, but you’ve got to love her all-consuming passion. Ninety percent of her clothes aren’t meant to be worn; they are a part of her collection. Like last night, put something on, take a picture and then put it away. But I sure do enjoy looking at them and having her point out the details of each piece. Yes, the amount of money she has hanging there seems conspicuous and can be put to better use, she’s earned every penny of it. She didn’t marry it, inherit it, steal it – she worked her butt off for it! As long as I don’t see her in bankruptcy or not paying her bills, collect away Rachael!

Her marriage appears to be strong and loving and I can’t see enough of that on TV. They bicker just like any other couple, but it’s not hurtful or nasty. And Skyler can’t be any cuter. I would still like to see him in a Disney or Thomas the Tank Engine t-shirt, but I guess Greatful Dead is a step in that direction.

Tonight is the season finale for Project Runway. I think Michelle is on a hot streak right now and might be hard to top. But Stanley and Patricia might have a card they haven’t played yet.

Once again I must say how much I enjoy coming here and reading and exchanging opinions with all of you. This ‘community’ is filled with people who make my days a lot more interesting. Love the differing opinions and being able to share my own. And it’s done in a respectful and kind manner. You guys ROCK!!!

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Rachel is quirky and she annoys me with her style of speech but I don’t care-I love seeing the clothes!!!!

      • Powell says:

        Ba-na-nas. 🙂

        • LaineyLainey says:

I love her too. Even her strange speaking style. she’s a trendsetter, even in weird stuff, like the way she talks. 🙂

      • chismosa says:

i read somewhere that Eva Mendes and now Kate Hudson have dropped her, due to her exorbitant prices. Cameron Diaz dropped her, Demi dropped her (did she officially go to Brad?)- i think she only has Jennifer Lawrence (?? who i figured would go with someone new and hipper, more cutting edge – jmo)— and her loyal Anne Hathahater and Jennifer Garner.
But i get it– she’s working on becoming a Victoria Beckham/ Jessica Simpson type. I get it. She’s got to focus on what brings her her ‘bliss’.

    • Trashy T says:

I’ve really become a Rachel fan this season. She may have her faults but she is doing something she is really passionate about. And who knew, she would turn out to be such an involved mom. Even her interactions with Rodger seem so real. I’m not into fashion but watching the Louis Vuitton/Marc Jacobs fashion show in Paris finally gave me an inkling of how exciting that world can be. I may be in the minority but I hope the show returns for another season. I’ve also enjoyed Brad ‘s show and hope it gets brewed. Thanks for recapping ladies!

Side note… I loathe the ever smug Gwynneth… yuck.

    • lizzle says:

I am with you concerning Rachel Zoe. I love, love, love her show. It is truly about fashion. She is passionate about what she does and she is a collector of fashion. Some people collect stamps… she collects couture. It seems like they treat their employees well. Rodger is always talking about how they have to succeed because they have a lot of mouths to feed with all their employees. I see their employees hanging out in the office having fun and goofing off a lot… I think now, more than in seasons past… they have the right amount of employees (or maybe more than they need). Anyways, I hope her show gets renewed. If it doesn’t, IMO… it is another example of how a lack of drama is not interesting to the majority of Bravo viewers (not us, but the millions of others). Or maybe Rachel doesn’t want to be in the spotlight anymore and wants to try and work on that other baby. Anyways, I find Rachel to be inspirational and I love gold lame’ as well. I have a gold lame’ dress and pants. Can’t go wrong with the disco era.

I also love It’s a Brad, Brad World and Dukes of Melrose as well. I watch them all!

      • Powell says:

They seem to treat the staff like extended family. They work hard & laugh all the time. It looks like a fun place to work. The NYC offices are fantastic. And I love the blow dry bar.

        • chismosa says:

Powell there was a comparison rating of the ‘drybars’ in manhattan the other day in a local paper and Rachel’s actually got the best review. 40$ just like the original – Drybar- but the women who were ranking how long the blowouts stayed, how they looked overall, etc.—- gave Rachel’s the best review.

          • Powell says:

The Dry Bar that was started by the women that was doing hair in her home in LA I believe and has them in NYC & everywhere has one here in MD. I read the reviews of which there was only 1 & the lady said it wasn’t worth it. Her hair didn’t last. I think it’s a fantastic concept. The one that is here probably doesn’t have all heavily qualified staff.

            • chismosa says:

Wow I didn’t know Drybar was started by someone who used to do hair from her home. Here in ny it’s inside an upscale hotel
              So cool

    • Powell says:

No snow! Woo hoo Husker. Spring has sprung in your neck of the woods. 🙂
You are right that Rachel has earned every piece of vintage clothing in her closet. It’s just so much of it & I L O V E clothes. My closet is busting but I think I would not be able to handle what she has. My mind is swirling thinking about it.

      • HuskerHuny says:

My closet is also busting but everything I own either has a Husker or YMCA logo on it! I can never turn down a free shirt!

      • I love to see her vintage clothing too Powell. Such cool stuff!

My closet bulges as well…but it’s because I have an array of clothes and sizes as I used to fluctuate more so I never got rid of anything because I was afraid I would need it again! LOL 😛 Now I also have a huge closet up here in the loft that I store all the clothes I don’t wear in…and then there is my wardrobe from my corporate career days, suits and blouses and such that I don’t wear but can’t part with (I can dress a bit more casual in my current work now). So what I am getting at is…YUP…I am a pack rat when it comes to clothes!! 😆

        • Catseye says:

Me too! I have a lot of stuff packed in Space Bags and even in plastic containers stuck under my bed. Not a good idea, as I forget what I have. But I cannot resist buying new clothes. I don’t feel it’s wasted money though, as I do wear a lot of old and new combined.

        • Powell says:

          Packrat MarDrag. 🙂

    • chismosa says:

      Hi Husker, lovely comment.
As much as Rachel annoys the beejesus out of me at times— her marriage is good. The men in her family all need haircuts (there was some article on Radar online i think that her son was called a girl recently?) But her show is good. They were re-running the old seasons, old Rachel face, with my FAVORITE- Taylor on—- and those were the best episodes. I like her marriage.
I have not seen the finale. If anything i think she will have a child via surrogate, if she even really wants to try for another. I don’t think her mini body can handle that again.

Can’t wait for PR tonight! No spoilers please!!!!! I respectfully request. Much thanks!
I’m going for anyone but Michelle.

    • pat says:

I DO love the clothes, too. And I find that 70s, Stevie Nicks era of fashion so enchanting. It’s how I would dress if I could get away with it.

    • lizzle says:

Who do you guys think is the most beautiful woman? I think Mila Kunis is gorgeous when she is dressed to impress.

      • iceNfire says:

I’ve always thot JLo a beauty ,,,then and now

        • realhousewifeva says:

I think JLo was their number 1 last year or the year before

          • chismosa says:

Yes the person from People who was on Wendy yesterday said that about J-Lo ….. it was so obvious Wendy was unimpressed with the choice and the People rep seemed a little miffed. It made good tv. ha!

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Milan is very pretty-I’m going to think on this one for a few minutes though-

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

WTH is Milan?? I will smash this iPad one day!!! MILA

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

My pick would be Charlize Theron-she is just stunning.
My all time most beautiful actress pick will always be Natalie Wood-

            • chismosa says:

If i literally could look like anyone it would be Charlize Theron. She is so graceful and has a dancer’s posture and grace and is just GORGEOUS, naturally.

Angelina J. to me is beyond beautiful too- but she had a nosejob so i don’t count her in because she’s not ‘as au natural’ to me. Plus girl needs like 10-15 lbs. on her. Still think she’s gorgeous too. I appreciate the work she does too for the UN

          • Powell says:

JNNTJ I am laughing out loud so hard at you. That was funny. 😀

        • chismosa says:

Milan is Shakira’s baby’s name too btw! i love Shakira and her watching her baby daddy play!

          • lizzle says:

I almost said Shakira as the most beautiful woman candidate. She has gotten more beautiful with age.

            • chismosa says:

i LOVE her. I love Latin/ Lebanese– like Salma Hayek as well– so gorgeous! But she has GOT to stop with the blonde wigs. (Wendy confirmed she found out it’s lace front wigs she wears on the Voice).
I love her brunette but it seems she refuses to go back to that.

          • pat says:

Love Shakira. We’ve watched every season of The Voice and this current one is my fave because of her.

      • realhousewifeva says:

Most beautiful, just in physical appearance? Megan Fox, Jessica Alba, JLo, Beyonce, Adriana Lima

        • Orson says:

I wouldn’t say Ms Paltrow is the most beautiful woman in the world, but to be completely honest, if after she took me out for a nice dinner and bought me a couple of drinks, she asked me if I wanted to make some sweaty snugglebunnies with her, I probably would not turn her down.

      • pat says:

        Angelina Jolie

      • chismosa says:

What i love about Mila is you can tell there is no rhinoplasty or other work or fillers on her face. She is the same as she was years ago. I really truly respect that. Especially in Lala land.

      • Donna says:

The most beautiful to me is the late Elizabeth Taylor

    • Rebecca says:

None of the women on The Talk agreed with People because Gwyneth isn’t exactly beautiful on the inside. As Sharon Osborne said, Gwyneth has the best publicist. Why do you never hear of any good charity work this woman is doing? It’s all about her shopping, her radical diets, her phony ailments causing her to diets, etc. Elitist narcissist if there ever was one…

      • LaineyLainey says:

I didn’t know that was part of the criteria for Most Beautiful. Never heard that before now. Sharon Osbourne has room to talk, I guess if you’re gonna talk, Sharon is quite active in her charities and very generous. Maybe she should be most beautiful. I wouldn’t mind having someone from our age group on that cover!!!

        • chismosa says:

Lainey you bring up a good point- i remember Wendy saying weeks ago that it was amazing to see Tina Turner looking so glamorous and gorgeous on (of course) a European Vogue cover! That would NEVER happen here in the US. She is gorgeous.
I would welcome someone older than say, 45… (since 45 is the new 35, 55 the new 45, etc.)

Rebecca ^^^^ CAN I GET AN ‘AMEN’ to your comment.

          • LaineyLainey says:

Yeah, Tina Turner is foxy, foxy…and Sophia Loren is exquisite looking STILL. Well at least the last photo I saw.

            • chismosa says:

              Agree agree agree.
Have to give props to Jane Fonda too. Every event i see her on tv she is amazingly dressed. I heard she is in the People issue, highlighted. She looks fab for her age, and is very open about any work she has had done, which is commendable.

  7. AZGirl says:

Gwyneth……whaaa…..I have to workout 2 hours a day….whaa……my budget for clothes is $25,000 per month…whaa…….I don’t eat dairy, wheat, meat or fish….I just drink water to survive…..
Her mom is so cool. What the hell happened?

  8. iceNfire says:

I can’t read the faces of the former Presidents or first ladies…anyone?

  9. BB says:

Good morning. Not a Grimmeth fan. She really too full of her fabulous self. In other news, I’M HOME! So glad to be home even if it’s only for a few days.

  12. AZGirl says:

    Off to work….crap….BBL

    • iceNfire says:

@AZGirl – How is Son doing with new job? Did you see my comment about sous chef vs head line cook?

      • AZGirl says:

Yes I did see your comments. Thank you. He has not started yet and is nervous because his gaming license has not been processed yet. Everyone who works on tribal land need a gaming license. Casino is due to open in late May and he is really anxious. They have started advertising on tv. It is called Twin Sticks Casino. Keep your fingers crossed that he gets it soon.

  13. iceNfire says:

i think i’m here all by my lonesome self…are you guys having a secret meeting w/out me?

        • pat says:

OT, catseye, I finished the master cleanse yesterday. Woohoo!!! Easing back in today with oj & soup.

      • chismosa says:

Very good call Ice, I noticed that too the other day. She had the good mind to apply eyeliner and mascara but there were no tears.

      • AZGirl says:

She is nuts and the FBI should keep a eye on her. Really…US did something to her son’s to make them blow people up?

    • chismosa says:

Ice i’m on my computer for once so no faces… i’m KEEPIN’ IT REAL.

I hope you got my answer to you yesterday that i get what the nail-issue is– you are not cutting your fingers, i get it. I hope you have come to a better, more comfortable way to get that taken care of! (as i sit here cutting yet more nails that don’t stop growing on me…. ughhhhh)

  14. Good Morning! Today was my day to get up early and get all my shopping done. Love the stores in the early AM when they are relatively empty!

Thanks for the blog today NMD! And MTH, Amy & Johanna for the recaps. You guys rock!

Amy….loved your comment about the gold lame with velcro sneakers your grandma had. What…doesn’t every one have a pair of those? LOL! 😮

Gwyneth’s dress is awful IMHO. I don’t understand how these gals can sit down and be at all comfortable in those kinds of dresses. And….the top of it looks like something Kyle Richards would wear! 😉

Wishing everyone a great Friday Eve! Love to you all!

New post, “Thursday ~ Thought For The Day”, is up at my place. Great ending! Enjoy!

  15. Nancy says:

boston…This is a very pretty piece for the processional.

  16. realhousewifeva says:

Does anyone watch Dont be tardy or Kandi Factory? Looks like both ratings are pretty crappy this season. I dont think housewives have what it takes to carry a show alone for more than 1 season. I know Bethenny did 3 seasons, but I think her ratings slumped each season as well. However, I read somewhere that Andy says he and Bethenny talk all the time about her working with Bravo again…if her talk show fails, Im sure shell be back in some capacity.

P.S. My apostrophe button is broke 😦 I swear I know how to type.

    • chismosa says:

Hi ‘twinsie’— what my burning question is—- if Kandi wins this court issue about the song DBTto the P— will BRAVO then stop playing it on Kim Trash’s show? I keep hearing it on the commercials so i guess there is no pressure to stop playing the song.

Then again, i’m sure this show will end long long before the legal battle for the song is ever in court or is finalized.

    • ladebra says:

I really don’t enjoy watching Kim …. But I caught the beginning of one of the shows, and that little boy is just so cute … But I just can’t.

      • chismosa says:

Her older son has red hair, right? My bff is a redhead (Irish lass)— and we always talk about this- whether it’s a genetic fluke or it’s INHERITED.
We don’t get it… i don’t think after knowing this friend and her family for about 20 years have we come to a good conclusion.

So does red hair run in Kim and Kroy’s family? Or is it a combo of genes of brown and lighter hair ? Hmmmmm
I love genetic stuff, so pardon my little ‘hobby!’

    • lillybee says:

I will not be watching those programs, I really only watched the first season of Bethanney’s show.

  17. chismosa says:

Thank you for the recaps — -above—-

I asked a few weeks ago- but does anyone here watch Brad’s show but also is an animal lover? I wanted to know what happened to Brad’s schnauzer-type dog ( i believe he was gray-ish)- that they had in the old house last year. Did he pass away?

Also, does Gary still write for Family Guy? Or did he leave that to do a show in the UK? or both?

  18. chismosa says:

i hope this link works, i was getting a kick at all the Gwyneth comments on People– and saw this—-
for you dog lovers. I am so happy and i look forward to doing this too one day, adopting an older dog!

ps– why oh why did she and Ethan break up??? it pains me so much.:( i loved them together.

    • kit9 says:

      dead link

      • chismosa says:

Sorry –and i did this on a PC, not my phone — why do people links never seem to work anywhere ?

It’s Jenna Morasca from Survivor (I used to watch back then)- talking about adopting an older shelter dog rather than “going for the puppies”
I hate that she and Ethan are not together anymore.
He was so good on Survivor

  19. Before I read the blog I need to ask you all to keep my Father in your thoughts tomorrow.
He’s 81 and lost an eye in 1965 when I was 5 yrs old. He’s lived for 48 yrs with just one eye and has done fine. In recent years he’s started to show signs of Alzheimer’s. My Husband and I have noticed he’s using a flashlight and magnifying glass to read the paper. Yesterday he said he can’t wait 7 more weeks to see his eye doctor because the lighted magnifier I bought him Tuesday isn’t helping at all. I found the number and he got an app’t within the hour. Well, he has lost more vision in his only eye. 20/100 versus 20/50 last check up which was within the last 8 months.
He’s going to see a Retna specialist tomorrow at 1 p.m. (cst). I’m taking him and his Dr called to chat with me about his concerns. I called the Veterans Affairs office for caregivers and got so much information on how he can be helped and I can get assistance as a caregiver.
I’m so scared for him to be blind and lose all his autonomy. I know it’s speculation on my part, but the “What If’s” just keep flooding my mind. I’m an only child so it’s me and my hubby who will be handling all this, well, mainly me because of his crazy work schedule.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow.
    Thank You,

    • chismosa says:

Prayers for you Diana, all the way. I’m sorry you are going through this, and sorry for your dad. But he’s lucky to have you and your hubby. Stay calm in taking care of him, and remember to take care of yourself too.

    • ladebra says:

I will definitely keep your Dad in my thoughts, Diana. They have come a long way in the treatment for eye problems, so hopefully whatever the problem is, there will be a treatment to mitigate the condition.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I will be praying Diana!! Good thoughts for Dad!!!

    • Sending prayers stat! ladebra is right, they have come a long way in eye treatments, so i wish and hope that there is a great solution! Hugs!

    • BB says:

Keeping you in my prayers, Diana. Hopefully it will be something that can be corrected.

Hugs Diana. My mom is going through something similar but not as severe as your dad. Loosing eyesight, having car keys taken away, loosing freedom one little step at a time is a horrible thing to go through…and someday it will be us. You are in my thoughts. Hope his eyesight can be saved. Xo.

    • Jules says:

sending good vibes and strength to you.
You are amazing how quick you are on top of this and that IS going to make the difference.

    • lizzle says:

I am sorry you are going through this… and the VA is a great resource. My grandfather used the VA for a home nurse. The only negative thing about the VA is that you have to constantly stay on top of them to get the resources your father is entitled to have. The VA lost the paperwork my mom sent in for my grandfather, so they had to refile. You will have to constantly call to make sure things are flowing along with the VA. My boyfriend also uses the VA for his primary medical care and it is the same way. Again… they have amazing resources including someone that will come to your father’s house to care for him (which allowed my grandfather to stay in his home until he died in his own bed). I will send my prayers out to your family and hopefully your father will be comfortable and will not lose his sight.

    • SoutheastVA says:

Your dad is in my prayers!

  20. shamrockblonde says:

thanks for the recaps!! Jeff – so glad that Malcom is gone – what I don’t get is why Sherri is still there – I was laughing myself silly listening to her go on about how she has all of the power!!! – ahahahahahaha!!!! – love how know-it-all Reynold ignored Cochran’s advice, did not switch and ended up wishing he had – so full of himself that boy – hoping to see Sherri gone next and Cochran for the win!!!!!!
I don’t like Ms. Paltrow – and as for most beautiful – after my Mom, I would have to say Sophia Loren – absolutely timeless, classy, sensual, and smart – now that is true beauty –

I am going on vacation starting tomorrow and won’t be back until May 7 – going to Disney with my daughter, her husband and the two little shamrocks, 6 and 3 – and Mr. Shamrock of course!!! so looking forward to it – this is the first time we will be staying in the park itself, so that should be great fun – be good to each other, laugh and have fun and I will fill you all in on our adventures at the house of Mouse when I get back!!!! –

    *hugs entire board really hard*

    • BB says:

Have a great vacation and see you when you get back!

    • melthehound says:

I figured you would be glad he was gone.. Some of the best comments from these people are the delusional ones. A swing vote always holds power but only if they are known for switching..

I’ve never liked this newer crop of Hollyweirdos and barely know who this gwimmith person is.

Have a great time on your trip 😀

      • realhousewifeva says:

Is Gwyneth considered part of the newer crop of Hollywood? Many of her acclaimed movie roles were in the 90s..I think she is in her 40s..

        • melthehound says:

That shows how long it’s been since I paid any real attention to any of those assholes.

      • shamrockblonde says:

I liked Malcom ok the first time around, but this season – not so much – but Sherri – seriously? the one with the power? – no no – she is the one who is failing at challenges – hope she is gone next – and while I think of it – do any of you – especially you Jeff – think that Eric looks a bit like George Harrison? something about his hair and beard….

give Mel a treat for me –

    • Nancy says:

Have fun! The weather has been beautiful out here.

    • Catseye says:

Hope you have a great trip, sounds like a LOT of fun! Are you going to the one in Florida or California?

    • AZGirl says:

Wheeeeeeeeeee tea cups! Have a great time. Weather should be fantastic.

Have a great time Shamrock. I always discuss with my friends what is a good age that kids are “ready” for Disney… Meaning not too scared yet.

Sending strength and prayers for both you, your husband and father. I bet you are stronger than you give yourself credit for. Use that strength and don’t be afraid to lean on others if they offer. That’s what friends are for!

    • Catseye says:

That was SO irresponsible if it’s true. Although I sort of think it was Kim’s idea to begin with, so she would have a legitimate reason to take pills.

  22. HuskerHuny says:

Just curious – is anyone else as excited as myself about All My Children coming back on Monday? It’s like welcoming back a part of my family. Can’t wait!

    • chismosa says:

Susan Lucci lives like 10 minutes away from me (if she’s still there and not in California now?)– and she used to come to the shopping center I used to work at as a teenager. She is so TINY Her daughter was always with her.
      Very gracious

    • lillybee says:

Where will it be viewable? Hulu?

      • HuskerHuny says:

I believe Hulu will be airing it free of charge but you will have to sign up or something like that. I plan on doing that this weekend. If you already have Hulu Plus you’re good to go!

That’s cool about LaLucci. She seems like a very nice lady albeit small. I hope she comes back to Pine Valley very soon!

    • lillybee says:

I am starting to dislike her.

    • Nancy says:

This could really backfire on her. Silly woman.

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

But really-it’s Radaronline-made up fake sources!!

        • pat says:

        • Cartwheels says:

Isn’t Radar Online the first one to make public the terms of the divorce request and I thought it was clear both had requested primary custody not sole custody. They can’t keep up with their own lies.

        • chismosa says:

I mean I get it- however some people (see: mob wives, below) do go directly to R.O.

Whatever —what other site is good? Tmz is so wonky to work. People is just too blech sometimes

I remember years ago having my good solid sites to go to. Perez when he was nasty not the G-rated way he is now, and this other site my co-workers and I loved called Bricks and Stones or something like that. But that is gone now.

Besides I wouldn’t put it past Bethenny on this anyway. Doesn’t sound so far-fetched based on how everything has ever gone down with her ! Jmho 💀

          • Cartwheels says:

But Bethenny has not requested sole custody and neither has Jason , so either ROL doesn’t doublke check their sources and the information they print themselves or they have just made up this “source” altogether.

            • chismosa says:

Apologies Cartwheels I don’t know the legal mumbo jumbo despite me watching Jack McCoy pretty much everyday

I honestly don’t know one term from another.
I’m sure we’ll get the final gist at the end. The true gist !

I did mean that B runs things her way and that’s that. We can all try and try to not repeat what we were raised in or like –but it never wins out sometimes. 😦

To clarify: our desire to undo the cycle does not win out most of the time.

              • Cartwheels says:

I understand, it is confusing, especially when ROL is purposedly misleading ansd equates sole custody with primary custody which is what Bethenny and Jason has requested.
According to NY laws there is two kinds of custody, legal and physical.
Both parents can have legal custody which means that they have to agree on all major decisions involving the child such medical, religion, school.
As far as physical custody, both parents can share physical custody 50%-50% but when one parent has a little bit more time than the other (it can be 51-49%) that parent is consider the primary custodial parent , this doesn’t mean the other parents doesn’t have a say or visitations, it just means that for tax purposes (claim as dependant) and legal residence (school purposes) the primary parent can claim that.
Bethenny and Jason both have requested primary custody and this is why I said the article is total BS because it is trying to make Bethenny like a bitch that wants to separate her daughter from her father and that is not what she is requesting at all.

    • BB says:

If this is true, what in the heck is Bethenny thinking? Why would she want to deny Jason equal time with his daughter? She’s the self-proclaimed “damaged” one with the unorthodox upbringing, not Jason. Seems like Jason is trying to do what’s best for Brynn and Bethenny is only thinking of what Bethenny wants. IF this is true. Seems like Ramona was correct about her prediction walking on the bridge with Bethenny that day. Reminds me of the Halle Berry child custody situation a little. Very sad.

    • kit9 says:

I don’t believe this for a second. It doesn’t even make sense. Bethenny is not going to punish her daughter by depriving her of an involved loving father. And, she has no chance of denying him joint custody even if she did.

      • Nancy says:

        You’re kidding right?

        • BB says:

Bethenny hired the same lawyer that got Katie Holmes sole custody of Suri Cruise. I guess she can’t believe he’s not doing the same for her. Trouble is, Tom Cruise has lots of secrets he doesn’t want revealed. Jason has nothing to hide.

          • Nancy says:

I read that as well. IMHO I’d rather be raised by Jason if I had to choose.
            Bethenny has some serious issues.

            • pat says:

I think Jason has his own set of issues. There’s a public Jason, presents himself has Mr. Nice Guy. But behind closed doors, he can be a total prick. That’s my opinion from watching him on the shows.

              • Cartwheels says:

Don’t even get me started on that. Jason is certainly very good at the game of playing a public image and he is using it to his convenience in this case.

          • kit9 says:

            Jason ain’t Tom Cruise. lol.

          • ladebra says:

            I love ❤ your little picture 🙂 ( I know, it's a gravatar, I like little picture better).

        • kit9 says:

No, not remotely. Bethenny, whether you like her or not, isn’t insane, which you’d have to be to be vindictive enough to try and punish your ex, and your kid, by limiting his access to his child And, as I said, no way she’d get full custody anyway. Jason probably works less hours. Certainly travels long distance less. Is a very involved father.

      • Cartwheels says:

Bethenny has never requested for sole custody and neither has Jason, they both have requested primary custody which is a totally different matter.

Based on that alone I would say this article is complete BS, ROL is purposedly misleading making primary and sole custody equal so I have no doubt that they can also make up a “source” in a heartbeat.

  23. chismosa says:

Carla strikes me as very Adrienne Mahoof-esque.
Sneaky little sly one. Drita was a monster too and they talked it out but of course Doberman pincher or whatever she is called, wouldn’t. I don’t get why she’s on the show. Drita can have Big Ang to talk to

    • nyc mama says:

Well, if ROL is reporting it must be true. (not).

My friend at one of the production companies said that it was a business decision and their legal department advised that she be let go sooner rather than later and they all agreed. She was uncontrollable unlike the other women even with their violence they wer never as out there as love..

Karen has a grudge against Carla and has for some time and has been engaged in an ongoing war with her that has ramped up in recent weeks on twitter. She is accusing Carla of being racist but there is no proof except what Karen and her wingman Ramona are saying. This never came out before, only now since the reunion. Karen isn’t exactly known for her glowing reputation and honesty so I am not sure how true this is. Both Karen and ROL need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Love showed that she was unstable, even more so than the others, all season and we saw her go after others besides Carla. Even Renee said she never liked her and never associated with her in the past and Big Ang also gave a negative opinion when she was asked at the reunion.

Based on what we saw on the show if Carla did indeed threaten to sue, and I wouldn’t blame her (and there was evidence that aired that she was indeed a threat to Carla and her intent all season was to get her) that was just another factor but it was made clear to me that she was not loved by those by the suits incharge and it was a business decision.

Looks like they are setting up season 4 imo. I guess we will watch the season unfold with Karen and Ramona against Carla and perhaps the final party will be Ramona’s wedding sans groom. They may as well save money and not get a wedding cake since they never get to it.

      • chismosa says:

I are what you’re saying, that’s interesting to me that they made this decision early on when Love was in the last frames of the finale of the show. But I guess, editing?

I just love how the entire cast has had problems with Carla and they refuse to acknowledge that. Such the Downer, so insecure– masking as full-of-herself (“all these girls are jealous of me”) lol!
She’s so cold and just camera-unfriendly. She can make her underhanded remarks and sly little attitude to everyone but god forbid anyone gets all Drita –physical/psycho on her.

But hey, there are Drita fans out there so what the hell do I know!?!? 😝

I didn’t mind Love, she made for good tv- I wouldn’t probably be her friend irl- but at least she had a medical condition to account for her issues (most likely) ? Can’t say the same for the other one.
Any enemy of Carla and/or Drita is ok with me

Lordy how on earth will I put up with Jersey after this crap? Lol💩💩

        • chismosa says:

Ughhhh should say “I SEE what you are saying”

        • nyc mama says:

LOL. I understand but I see it differently.

The only one’s who had/have problems with Carla are Love, Renee and Karen (Ramona is only Karen’s wingman so what ever Karen is upset with she just inserts herself in as we have seen for 2 seasons) but Drita and Ang like her and are friends with her. Renee and Carla are now cool so it is only Karen and her minime that are enemies with her now that Love is gone.

Love had problems long before her accident so perhaps it made her worse but she has been a psychopath since she was young so I am not buying her excuses. She also had no other storyline except going after Carla.

I find Karen the worst. She seems to think that her father, who is known to have killed 19 people but probably more, is some kind of hero which I find vile and he is so disrespected in their community for being a rat he doesn’t even have that for her to be proud of yet she thinks everyone should “respect” her. Why? No one demands respect, they command it and she has done nothing to command any imo, There is nothing interesting about her nor admirable so whatever she says I take with a grain of salt. The only thing she is known for is being the son of a mobster turned rat, killer and drug dealer and we are supposed to respect her because of who her father was? I will change my mind if/when he finds the cure for cancer or if she does something that warrants it but otherwise – meh.

Ramona is a hypocrite. She was his mistress before she she married her first husband so her criticism is laughable and if she didn’t help fight Karen’s battles, first with Drita and now with Carla, and she wasn’t planning a wedding without a groom just to have a party, she would have no storyline. But hey like I said before they need a venue for the season 4 finale fight so I guess that will be it otherwise it will have to be someone’s birthday party or maybe the anniversary party for Renee’s sobriety. Unless there is something interesting next season, and not another psychopath or more of the same, Karen/Ramona vs. Carla then I am done with that show too. It looks like I am quickly running out of reality shows.

After Love the NJ ladies seem like angels imo but I still don’t have an intention of watching that trainwreck this year. lol BTW, Ramona is apparently friends with the wife of Johnny the Greek so there’s that connection and that makes it even worse for me.

I went over to ROL and the comments there are interesting…disturbing but interesting. . Lots of hate for Love, Karen and Ramona but not as much for the rest of the cast.

sigh…I hope the travel or cooking channels comes up with something good or else next winter I’m screwed. Based on Bravo’s upcoming shows the only thing left for me there is BH and if this is what I can expect from mobwives then that is over for me too.

I will have to look forward to the recaps.

Just wanted to pop in and say HI!!! to everyone, I’m mad at myself bc for the past month I’ve been eating horribly and I’ve gained 6 pounds! Why does food have to be soooooo good!!??

    • Powell says:

Hi DJP. I know how you feel. 🙂 During the week I eat pretty healthy & try to drink a lot of water. But it’s on on the weekend. I don’t go overboard but I love FOOD. One of my fav foods is Italian. I’m so glad that I don’t make it or buy it as often as I would like because I would be gaining 6lbs a week to. Your just going to have to cut back. I know, I know. It’s hard. We have to have willpower. 🙂

      • djprincessc says:

Hi Powell!! My problem is def not the water since thats all I drink lol, but when I’m stressed I over eat a lot and only want foods that are bad and make me feel better. Of course they only make you feel better in that moment though. I had been doing soooo good and lost about 20 pounds since September but like I said the past month and stress has NOT been my friend. You’re right though we HAVE to have willpower, thanks for those words!! xo! 🙂

I started out doing the Master Cleanse (for 3 days) about 3 wks ago and morphed it into the Warrior Diet (1 meal a day). I’ve lost almost 3″ on my waist and my pants are now loose. I’ll find out Monday how much weight I lost. For me, this has been the easiest (& cheapest) way to lose weight and still eat whatever I want for 1 hr a day, then back to the lemon/lime drink with an occasional swig of hot pepper mixed in.

          • pat says:

Good for you!! There are so many different cleanses out there to choose from. Whatever works! 🙂

          • djprincessc says:

Thats so cool Catseye!! Different things work for everyone! I’m not big on cleanses because long term theres no way a person can sustain it but how do you feel?? How long do you do this for??

            • Nancy says:

I can give you the “Ice Capades” diet if you want.

              • djprincessc says:

Lol. Is this a serious diet?? I’m not big on diets either way Nancy bc once you get off of stop following a diet all the weight comes back.

            • Catseye says:

I felt so good for the 3 days I fasted–mental clarity, aches and pains melted away, a sense of “inner peace.” And I feel good now too, I have a lot more energy than I used to. I only feel a little hungry in the afternoons. Any time between 3 and 5pm I eat one big meal, (or whatever I want really) for 1hr only and it’s surprising how quickly I feel full.
I’ve also researched a little and found that semi-fasting for 2 days a week, then eating normal for 5 is supposed to be very effective for weight loss too. I might morph into that after I lose a little more weight. But I want to keep this up another 2 weeks at least. Or maybe just stick to this way of eating forever. I don’t feel at all deprived. And I’m saving a lot of money too, my grocery bill has been cut in half.

              • Nancy says:

Being in ketosis (which happens during a fast) makes one feel that way.

              • chismosa says:

Seriously I want to hear so much more about this —- I feel weird bringing it up on like chat blogs about shows here — I am ducking out right now but I hope to be able to “talk” again

So interested in the intermittent fasting thing, I feel like there is a book out there right now on this
Technically I should fast next week as it’s my Holy Week!

Hello everyone! 😀 I have not read comments today. Great blog today, NMD, thank you!

I enjoyed the Rachel and Brad season so much more than last year and I wonder if they were made to be a (disappointingly) short season so Bravo can parade out all this crap programing that I have yet to identify or even try to look at?! 🙄

AMY, thank you for your blogs on The Rachel Zoe Project! I agree that Rachel and Rodgers personalities work well enough to keep the show engaging. I think if people miss the aspect of her being a stylist, well then you have Brad’s show following and it more than fills the void!

JOHANNA, thank you for all your blogs of It’s a Brad, Brad World! I enjoyed this season a great deal now that he has his confidence and has built a fantastic team. I liked that they showed how he thanked them and how he said he liked how they “conducted themselves”. He learned how to treat….er, NOT to treat employees from Rachel and he’s done a fabulous job assembling at true team. He will get much more in return, he just should not stretch himself to thin as his gotta have Brad value increases. So funny that you mentioned the very strange RHOHNJ promo in the middle of your recap, lol.

MTH, thanks for the Survivor recap! I was laughing at your issue with the Andrea on TV and the one in real life, ha ha, and I was laughing out loud over “she’s on him like stink on pooh….” Not sure why that thing in particular got to my funny bone, but okay, I have admitted to it now. 😉

    • Powell says:

TexasTart or anyone. I’ve missed so many epis if Brad’s show and have to catch up. Did Brad’s partner get a new job out of the country?

      • TexasTart says:

In the finale it was said that Gary was about to leave for a.2-1/2 months on London. I don’t know what the job is–or was. It’s likey that was done and Gary’s already back. It seems the show ended in conjunction with the time of the American Music awards..fyi. Catch up on them if you can it was 10x better than his first season…at least for me.

  27. Nancy says:

Where are Justin Bieber’s parents? Manager? He’s obviously having “issues”. Sad.

    • djprincessc says:

They aren’t together, and actually look really young. I don’t think they care what he does really as long as he brings in all that money. Makes me sad, I was rooting for him because he is very talented but its another example of too much money too young. I think he’d be fine if he stopped hanging out with Lil Twist and friends like that, Lil Twist is signed to Young Money which is Lil Waynes label and was signed when he was a teenager. Those guys in Young Money have zero morals or boundaries (and I actually like their music excluding Nicki Minaj) there’s a video of Lil Wayne joking around telling everyone about how Baby(Lil Wayne’s father/mentor) sent women to Wayne when he was a kid to have sex with him and jokes how he was “Raped” Lil Twist is in that video btw and Lil Wayne asks him how old he was when he lost his virginity to which he responds 15. Fast forward to now and Justin Bieber and Lil Twist are best friends, definitely not a good influence.

      • Nancy says:

So sorry to hear that. So many child “stars” end up imploding.
Personally I don’t know what people see in him as I don’t find him
        talented at all.

        • Catseye says:

I thought he was cute when he started out, now he looks and has started acting, like a little jerk.

          • djprincessc says:

He is starting to behave like a little jerk Catseye!! I agree!! I hope someone snaps him outta it!!

        • djprincessc says:

What’s funny is that when he was a kid, when he first came out I couldn’t stand him and thought he was super annoying!! But as he’s gotten older I like his music now. He’s actually a really good dancer and plays the guitar and I’m not sure if the piano too, he sings well bc I’ve seen videos of him a’capella although I think his biggest talent is dancing. And he is beyond charming!! My gfs and I joke that we’d totally sleep with him because he’s sooo damn charming we wouldn’t stand a chance! haha!!

I agree Lainey! Thats what I was saying!

          • Orson says:

He’s well rehearsed. I didn’t mean he’s losing his chops, but considering all the tabloid fodder he’s providing recently, I think he’s losing his balance.

            • djprincessc says:

I don’t think it matters, he has a new song out with Will I am right now and its crazy popular. I think if anything its making him more famous, just not in a little kid way anymore, and I am in no way agreeing with his behavior right now.

Very interesting. I’m going to show this to our “doc” friends.

      • Catseye says:

Nancy, do you think there could be a link between diseases like Alzheimer’s, Osteoporosis, maybe even certain cancers and the overgrowth of Candida in someone’s system?

        • Nancy says:

I don’t think so Catseye. If one has an overgrowth of Candida they probably don’t have
enough “good” bacteria in their system. Why do you ask?

          • Catseye says:

I’ve been reading up on it, after my short stint with the Master Cleanse and learning all I can about detoxifying my system. Good morning all! It’s a nice sunny, if cool, morning here in good ole Virginia. Observation. I have’t been watcing OC, but it seems to me OC’s Wretchen is always having to use her blogs to explain her actions on the prior episode. If you constantly have to defend your behavior or explain yourself, then perhaps you should take a good look inward to fugure out why that’s so.

    • pat says:

Love this post. LOVE your gravatar, too! 😉

I agree… she feels guilty about something and is trying to reason her actions. And why are her teeth so white!?! I get making your teeth look naturally white… but she whitens them so much that it looks ugly! I have been wanting to say that for a while.

      • LaineyLainey says:

I kinda don’t think she understands that feeling of guilt. I think she gets angry or feels that she’s being misjudged when viewers react to what SHE SAYS AND DOES ON THE SHOW. She doesn’t come from a humble place, iirc, she is like the kids who will not accept responsibility and instead point outward for the source of why they themselves behaved so horribly. Abusers do that. “Well, look what you did. You made me hit you. You made me insult you. “

I use that term loosely when referring to the DM.
