The Amazing Race – The End

The Amazing Race – The End – by MelTheHound

TARlogo

Welcome back, race fans. This is it. The end of the line.. almost anyway. First we have to dump one of those pesky teams to get the final four down to three. So, they are heading from Edinburgh to Belfast, Northern Ireland. In case you’ve forgotten who ‘they’ are:

  • Newlyweds – Max and Katie
  • Hockey Brothers – Bates and Anthony
  • Country Singers  – Caroline and Jennifer
  • Derby Moms -Mona and Beth

That is the order they finished the previous leg in (if you want to see the rest of the cast, check one of the other reviews for the list). Last week, YouTube – Meghan and Joey were eliminated. I was a bit disappointed by that because I kind of grew to like them. My pick to win has been Derby moms all along but at this point, anybody but those pain in the ass newlyweds would suit me just fine. Let’s see how this all played out.

To get to Belfast, they have to take a train out of Edinburgh to get to the ferry that will take them across to Belfast. It doesn’t matter when they left their hotel, they will all be on the same boat, equalized for the next leg of the race. As the teams all stagger into the ferry terminal, dickhead Max asks the Derby moms how they liked finding only two cars at the airport in the last leg when they got to Scotland. This guy has proven himself to be a major tool in every episode and at this point, I really wanted to punch him in the throat. Anyway, they take the boat ride across the water and when they get there, they have to find the warehouse where their transportation is located. Four Ford Fiestas. With those, they have to drive to Belfast.

tar1

I didn’t catch the name of the park but the location they are going to will be for a roadblock.. Bog Snorkeling. Sounds fun, doesn’t it? What they have to do, is get dressed up in a wet suit, cannonball into this muddy water (with flippers, mask, snorkel, wet suit) and complete a lap swimming around a 100 yard course. They have to do this in under 4 minutes or they have to start over. Sounds simple, Right? Swim a hundred yards in some muddy (cold) water, in less than 4 minutes.. Katie, Jennifer, Mona, and Anthony do the road block. Let’s make this short and sweet. Katie can’t swim so it takes her forever. Mona gets through it pretty quick, well under the 4 minute mark, Jennifer nearly quits and in fact, is half way out of her wet suit before Caroline convinces her to go try again (she can’t swim either and has to do it at least twice), and Anthony pretty much powers through it.

Screen grab from google images

The next clue tells them to drive back to Belfast and find ‘The Thing With The Ring’ aka The Beacon Of Hope to get their Next clue. The clue is a detour, “Tray it or Spray it”. Spray it requires teams to go to a local skate park where a graffiti artist has begun a painting that the team will finish. He provides them with a simple outline and a picture of what it has to look like. Once they’ve done that to the artist’s satisfaction, they get their next clue. Tray it, requires teams to serve a five course meal to a bunch of stuffed shirts sitting in a tent at the bottom of the dry dock where the Titanic was built. See the tent in the bottom of the picture? See the stairs to get down there? Yeah.. This is a hard one folks and these people are tired and pissed at each other by the end of it.

tar3Hockey, Derby, and Newlyweds do this one. See that little white spec at the left of the picture? That’s where the food is kept. Each team draws a seating chart and the same menu is shown at the door. The teams must load their trays with the proper dishes and shlep them down those 4 flights of stairs, find their customers, serve them, and hope they got it right. What every single team failed to spot for some reason was the actual menu at the entrance to the food hut. Each course was listed starting with the horsedivers. It took some longer than others to figure that out though. The object was to get the head waiter to say “Bon Apitit” (sorry, I can’t speak or spell French). Once he says that, they can go get the next course. Derby moms failed to get the first course correct at least 10 times. Newlyweds, got it right within 2 or 3. Hockey Brothers had to make 6 or 7 trips themselves before getting it right. Another error they all made is in the color of the desert..  Chartreuse which, is a greenish color. So they all have to make at least two trips for that 5th course. You people who work out with a stair master, have nothing on these people after they completed this challenge. Max, Bates, and I think, Mona were the servers and their partners had to fill the trays. At one point, Anthony tripped over a railroad track and spilled his tray. Newlyweds, Hockey, and Derby get out of there in that order.

tar4

Now, all of them had to ask for directions to The Thing With The Ring. Including Country when they finally finished the bog challenge. Only problem is, Country asked the one guy in Belfast who, either didn’t know, or was a practical joker. Because, they wound up in some field that was in fact ring like (circular large patch of grass) but I doubt it had anything to do with the beacon of hope. They finally get proper directions, find the detour clue and chose ‘Spray it’. You can see the image they had to complete the right side of the picture.

tar5

tar6

The next clue takes them to the pit stop.. Ulster Hall. A concert type venue that was probably once something else entirely different. Doesn’t matter. Newlywed and Hockey race for first place as they arrive there about the same time but that is the order they finish. They take spots one and two of the final three and Newlyweds win a trip to the Dominican Republic (Snooki’s home town, and the location of a certain brawl that the NJ crew has become famouse for). Derby moms finish third to take that final spot and knock out the Country singers who finish last. Had they not been directed to the wrong place, the result may have been different. If one of the first three had chosen Spray instead of Tray, they may have taken first and even knocked out the Newlyweds. That’s the way it crumbles though. One bad move cost the Country girls, Caroline and Jennifer, the race. Not following instructions nearly cost the Derby moms the race. Everything counts here, as we’ll see.

Time for part two of this (I really wish that CBS wouldn’t do these two hour finales. It’s a pain in the ass). Okay. Once again, the teams are equalized at London’s Heathrow Airport after they take an 8 hour ferry ride across the Irish Sea. I’ve just figured out what it is about Katie that has been bugging me all along. Not so much bugging me I guess but who she reminds me of… Mr Ed. At any moment, I expect her to winnnie or shout out “Hello Wilbur” (sorry).  We’re going to Washington DC kids. Yay! Back home 😀 .

tar7

Once they land, they have to go to the Lincoln Memorial and stand on the spot where MLK Jr. made his I Had A Dream speech. It’s engraved right there on the steps. When they find the spot, they will be handed their next clue. All three teams get there within seconds or minutes of each other. The Lincoln memorial is a bit hard to miss if you have a good cab driver who knows the sites. Fortunately, they all did.

The next clue tells them to go to 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue where they will meet up with a service agent and they will have their picture taken with the President. Not really kids. Even I didn’t believe that the current occupant would spend time filming for the race for a photo op. This is a tourist trap type thing where the people are carefully posed to be photoshopped into an image making it appear as though they’ve actually met the President. Okay… What is the address of the whitehouse? I think every 4th grade kid (or sooner) knows this. 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Right? Newlyweds and Hockey get to the proper address. My team, The Derby Moms, go to the whitehouse. They just automatically assumed that’s where they were going since they were going to ‘meet the president’. C’mon people, Every tax paying citizen owns that place. They all get their pictures taken and get their next clue which is on the back of the picture. It tells them to find the marked car near the paddle boat dock at The Tidal Basin and knock three times on the window to get their Next clue.

tar10

The next clue is handed to them in a briefcase and it’s a roadblock. Apparently this is what they call a switchback. They’ve done this before or something similar (the Cheese wheels on the sleds in Switzerland was a switchback). There are 50 spies walking around the basin, each has a briefcase. Each team is given a key phrase that they have say to the agents. When the right one is found, they will swap briefcases and the agent will tell them how to open it. Each team has a different phrase because the briefcase they are given has a coded combination. That code can be deciphered by remembering their finishing places in they finished in Indonesia, New Zealand, and Vietnam. In other words, if they finished respectively 1st 5th and 2nd, then the combo to the lock on the case is 152… It could be any one of these 50 guys carrying the case they need. Okay.. Newlyweds get their first, followed by Hockey, and tagging along bringing up the rear, Derby Moms now that they’ve learned where the president lives.  Max, Bates, and I think, Mona (again) do this roadblock. Bates gets lucky and finds his spy pretty quick and even though Newlyweds were there first, Hockey is the first to get the next clue (more on that in a second). While Katie is doing a lot of sideline bitching, Max is circling the basin looking for the right spy. I think even while he is still there trying, long after the Hockey brothers left, Derby even catches up to them and also get lucky pretty early. Not lucky enough to snag second place though but Newlyweds are no longer in first.

tar11

The next clue tells them to go to the home of the Nats (National’s Stadium). What they are to do there, is one will fly across the stadium on a zip line tossing a ball to the other who is on the field, dressed in this ridiculous mascot’s outfit, like a baseball with a hat on. There are enough lines there for all three teams to do this at once but as it turns out, in the order they arrive, they complete the task, one at a time. It takes each several tries to get it but they do get it done.

tar13

tar12 These games always come down to the puzzles. The next clue takes them to a park at Haines Point. There, they will have to jump into a pit of balls that are basically simple globes. The object is, to find the ones with the countries they have visited outlined in red and place them in order to reveal their next clue. The rub is, not every globe is marked so they have to find the ones that are. ChuckE-Cheese all over again says Anthony as he jumps into the ball pit. Newlyweds swap out in finding the balls and I honestly don’t remember which Derby mom did this part of it. At one point though, Newlyweds and Derby were there at the same time. Hockey is long gone and on their way to the next stop. The finish line at Mt Vernon, home of the first President, George Washington. The clue was to go to the home of the first president.

tar14

Here they are folks. Your winners. Bates and Anthony aka Hockey Brothers. Bates earlier said that he missed out on the Stanley Cup and didn’t want to be the first loser (second place) here in the race. Well, they aren’t. That would be the Newlyweds who took second. Remember, this was their honeymoon. They said if this race didn’t kill their marriage, nothing would. Nice for them and we’ll see. I still think Max is a dickhead though. They won a few trips and a pair of cars. Derby Moms, Mona and Beth did finish as well. For them, they say the prize is the race itself. I had high hopes of them winning but I also said earlier, anybody but the Newlyweds.  We heard from Dave and Conner. Dave’s Achilles tendon was blown out and repaired by surgery and he just had the stitches out a few days prior. Country girls, plan on continuing their friendship with the hockey brothers.. I’ll bet they do now that they have the cash.

So. There you have it. Another season of The Amazing Race in the can. I don’t know what I was thinking by volunteering take on another Sunday night show but I’ll see you in less than a month when we begin the storm that is New Jersey. You can watch this episode of TAR here if you like or at CBS.com. I hope you enjoyed the recaps folks. See you next time.

Til then, Peace… MTH

Let’s see how many Loubitons they can buy.

      • chismosa says:

Id be so embarrassed to be the Louboutain brand and to see what cheapy peeps are wearing them now.

    • LaineyLainey says:

They make a lot of moolah!!! This should explain why some of these people will do whatever it takes to stay on the show (I’m look at you TamRAWWWW). How else, Where else could she earn this kinda money. NO WHERE. THAT’S WHERE.

      • Powell says:

“I’m lookin at you TamraWWW.”. LOL Lainey.

      • Catseye says:

It’s interesting to me, that the only real claim to fame that Tamra has, is after her 1st marriage ended, she saved up her money, got huge breast implants and started trolling bars, luckily attracted Simon, who had a very well-paying job when she met him (that he lost allegedly due to her nasty behavior on the show). And, along with getting a real estate license in the meantime, she got VERY lucky and scored a place on the show. Amazing.

    • Stars99 says:

Thanks for the info, NMD – I really don’t understand some of the disparities within each franchise… I get not making so much your 1st year… but c’mon… For example, RHONY – Ramona and Countless make $500,000 but Sonya only makes $220,000… what’s up with that? Aviva already makes $200,000 and Heather $175,000? Nothing was said about Carole… or perhaps I glossed over that one… Sonya needs a new negotiator for sure…

      • T-Rex says:

I also would be that CountlessLuMan is NOT making that kind of salary for this upcoming season. Word out there is that there were a lot of negotiations in her returning to the show, and that Bravo was not going to pay her that large salary to come back this year. She was free to leave or take their salary reduction. I would bet Carole made about 250K a little more than SonjaTheDrunkenSlut, but Carole brought more to the show in my opinion, because frankly other than being drunk and having her Toaster-gate storyline SonjatheDrunkenSlut really didn’t do a whole lot, IMO.

      • $25,000 says:

Hi Stars! I don’t understand the disparity either. It seems like Ramona especially should be making much more. NY is one of the oldest franchises, so you’d think they’d pay old crazy eyes more! Whatever posters may think about Ramona, she has consistently delivered the drama every year.

      • Powell says:

Damn Stars! Sonja still doesn’t have good lawyers huh? Shafted by her ex & now Bravo.

    • Lulu says:

Wow Gwretchen makes more than Tamra?? I wonder how well she will take that 🙂

The irony that the lowest paid HW in NJ is Jac no surprise there she’s not that interesting.

I wonder why Nene would make more than Vicki though?

      • Lulu says:

Correction probably Kathy is the lowest paid (NJ) but the fact that Melissa makes more than Jac is funny.

      • $25,000 says:

I imagine Gretchen got a big bump up in pay during or immediately after her first season when the main storyline was about whether she was cheating on her fiancé while he was dying of cancer.

      • Powell says:

Although Vicki has been on the longest NeNe is making NBC a lot of money.

  1. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. Another rainy day. Sigh. I prefer to be at home on these days watching old movies. Oh well. I didn’t watch OC last night. I was fast asleep. I didn’t miss much I bet. 🙂

You all have a great day.

    • LaineyLainey says:

Good morning, Powelly!! We surely would welcome the rain here…trying to stave off a sinus infection. Already two people whom I’ve greeted…”What’s wrong with you, your voice is weird.” “Looks like you got no sleep last night” (face is kinda swollen from sinus pressure crap). I can’t call in sick because my co-worker is taking a much needed day off. Hope the rain clears up for you!

      • Powell says:

Oh you poor thing. 😦 That sounds miserable. I hope you get some kind of relief.

  5. Stars99 says:

Mel – You crack me up… “Mr. Ed”… completely dies on the floor from laffin’ my fool head off… Great recap – and it was a 2 hour tour…a 2 hour tour. I must have hallucinated at one point because I just couldn’t figure out why the newlyweds were doing graffiti – but by that point I was just too lazy to rewind to figure it out – so I was really happy to read that part of your explanation. That serving part of the race was a very, very grueling task – not only did they have to go up and down those 4 flights of stairs over and over again – they had to do it while holding a huge tray of plated food – which was really heavy. Plus, it was really tough that none of them knew what color “chartreuse” was… it was cracking me up. They all ended up wanting to throw the dishes at their partners… Which suddenly reminds me of RHONJ… may the force be with you, Mel… lol

    • melthehound says:

Hehe 😀 Apparently no one knew what chartreuse was because the ones loading the trays got it wrong, the ones carrying them didn’t catch it either. I would have said something to avoid an extra trip on those stairs if I were carrying those trays (which probably would have killed me).

      • Cathy Connor says:

Great recap MTH glad the hockey players won…!! Your poor ladies didnt figure out to read the menu it should not have taken them that long to figure that out . Enjoyed the season a lot tho . Have a great day…

        • melthehound says:

If that had been the final leg, I would have said that menu thing cost them the race. It nearly did anyway and I think they were only saved by the bad directions given to the country girls. Glad you enjoyed it 😀

    • princesspindy says:

I once had a “discussion” with one of my bffs about the color chartreuse. I had a new ensemble in the color and she said how pretty and I said “yes, it’s chartreuse.” She proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that chartreuse was rose not green. She went on and on about colors……when she was done rambling I just looked at her and said, “you can think what ever you want to but chartreuse is green.” 🙂 So of course she went around asking people, and when enough people told her she was wrong she sat down and said, “well, I guess it is green” I didn’t say it out loud because it didn’t need to be said, BUT, YA THINK??? I just smiled, I would make a horrible HW!!!

  6. HuskerHuny says:

Great recap MTH. Another season of Amazing Race has come to an end. So happy for the hockey brothers. My next big obsession will be Big Brother this summer.

Just saw Phil from Duck Dynasty on Good Morning America. I find this family to be extraordinarily ordinary. So grounded despite the amount of money in their bank account. After watching all of the dysfunctionality on the Housewives shows, the Ducksters bring me back to my values and common sense.

I just wish Brianna and family would move out and let Vicki have her house and her ‘man’. I’m so tired of the crocodile tears. Vicki needs to fall on her face before she can see the mistakes she continues to make over and over again. Brooks is disgusting, but that’s what Vicki wants. At least they won’t ruin two other people.

Gretchen is lower than low. Those tears had nothing to do with Slade’s son and his horrific disease. Those tears were all about her. She is truly self-centered.

I find it unsettling to say the least about Lydia’s mother and her drug habit. I just don’t know what to say about it. And fairy dust? Wow.

Heather and Terry. Heather gets a one-time offer on a cable TV show. She wants Terry to stop in his tracks and take care of the kids and house. Yo Heather, it’s Terry and his career that has enabled you to live the life your live, not your many acting jobs. You have more help than 99.9 percent of all mothers in this country. What’s your problem here? There’s nothing to fight about that I can see.

I don’t want to talk about Tamra. Glad that Alexis had very little camera time. She needs a rest.

All in all, it was a rather boring night in the OC. We go from off the chains the past two weeks to a real yawner this week. A happy medium . . . can’t happen with this group.

    • Catseye says:

So true about Heather and her snotty attitude. Especially bickering with her husband out in public and in front of their kids. Terry must be a glutton for punishment to put up with someone b!tching at, or putting him down constantly.

      • Powell says:

See that’s why I didn’t like Heather being irritated w/Terry about the onion rings even though many here said they believe Terry was doing it on purpose to get on her nerves. Even if that was the case Heather is hard on Terry just like he’s her annoying little brother like she called him. I’m not a big Terry fan but Heather just cuts that man down.

    • mrs peabody says:

The more I see of that Brooks the more I don’t trust him, that is one smooth guy. He sat right there and lied to her about seeing others. There is no way in the world he has been seeing others, well wait I take that back, what does he mean by he sees other people? Is he going places with them like on dates or does he just see someone walking by and thinks he is seeing them because they are in his sight. Anyway the guy is smooth. He sure knows how to handle Vicki. But I do agree with him in that it is her house and she should be able to have who she wants over there and see who she wants. She’s a grown woman and if she wants to be with someone like him and he takes her for a ride so be it, it won’t be like people didn’t try to warn her.

    • melthehound says:

      😀 .

    • jules says:

Okay, so I watched RHO for the first time in a long time last night and I was badly want those 60 minutes of my life back! I dislike Tamra, Gretchen and Heather even more than I did before. I’ve never seen such entitlement in my life. Tamra always has that look on her face, like she smells something bad. I find it nearly impossible to watch her. The wine guy they’re in business with is really stuck now. He was trying to be diplomatic and not trash-talk Vicki with Tamra but she kept pushing. These people have very little to be unhappy about in comparison with many in this country. I also think it’s hysterical that Tamra and Gretchen didn’t bother to blog last week and are now just skipping over it like it never happened.

Thanks for letting me vent. I won’t make the mistake of watching this again. I’ll just come here and read everyone’s insightful comments. They are much more interesting.

      • princesspindy says:

That is so funny, after it was over my first thought was “there’s a hour wasted that I will never get back!” 🙂

    • Powell says:

I love the DD family. Uncle Sy is my fav.

    • Powell says:

Husker I knew I didn’t miss much on OC. Very good short recap. 🙂

  7. Stars99 says:

Okay… verdict watchers: I’m thinking the verdict will come in by no later than 11: 00 AM this morning, what do you think? I think the jury reconvenes at 9:00 AM.

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I hope you are right Starzy

    • Lisa Renee says:

Good morning Stars, for purely selfish purposes I hope it is today. I can not take HLN anymore. They are reconvining an hour later today 1pm EST. Some have speculated that the later start date might be due to a prior commitment for one of the jurors. They were expected to be done by mid April. The other theory is that maybe they have reached a decision & want to sleep on it. The other speculation I heard is that the women want to get mani/pedi’s & their hair done for interviews after the verdict. I am encouraged they have had no questions for the Judge. Thats all I got, Lisa

      • Stars99 says:

Good morning, Lisa Marie… (lol)… Wow… they’re reconvening an hour later than usual? on the 2nd full day of full deliberations? That’s weird… I’m with you on the extra hour to “beauty up”… lol.. I mean unless it’s for a doctor’s appointment… it just seems wonky…

        • Lisa Renee says:

Stars, you are killing me! All the speculation for the delay were from Beth Karras. I agree, very wonky. I am not going to start to panic until Wednesday if no verdict today. We shall see, Lisa marie Renee

          • Kansas Girl says:

            LOL, Lisa! Whose yer daddy!

            • Lisa Renee says:

I’m so confused I think it’s Elvis. I hope this doesn’t mean I have to start chasing down all the sighting from crazies all over the world. Let my daddy RIP! Hahaha, Lisa

        • Orson says:

The male jurors are going to get Brazilian waxes.

      • trudie says:

I am hoping they didn’t reach a verdict yesterday so they couldn’t be accused of rushing to judgment. (Not that after all the months spent on this trial anything could be considered rushed).

Hopefully today will be the day. I cannot stand HLN and their constant commercials and not related segments that interrupt coverage.

    • T-Rex says:

Hoping today is the day. Last night poking around the internet and I can’t believe there is a webpage devoted to her Innocence, are you freakin kidding me, and how she was this horribly abused woman, NOT. She is a master manipulator, a COMPLETE liar, and cold-blooded killer who is still lying to this very day about what happened. Grrrrrrr! Real women and men too, are abused by their significant others, reading that webpage made me want to throw my laptop across the room. How can folks buy her Bullsh*t? Look she said she wasn’t even there at the time he was killed, then whoops they find the photos, then she was there but that two other people attacked them, but left her in perfectly good shape, then finally after all the forensic evidence concocts the “battered woman” defense, again shame on her for that. Oh and she stated more than a few times in taped interviews that she would NEVER be convicted of this crime. UGH! Find her guilty today and throw away the key!

      • Stars99 says:

You’re so right… my hubster and I are watching a very, very chilling series called, “The Killer Speaks” on A & E… and it consists of interviews with actual convicted murderers while they are in prison. A psychologist helps navigate the viewer through what could have made the person “snap”… it’s interesting, but unsettling. If you want to know what perpetrators of domestic violence look like – look there.

        • kit9 says:

I’m actually furious with the revelation that Jodi forged ‘letters’ from Travis admitting he was a pedophile and that the judge wouldn’t allow that information into the trial. WHY?! If they allowed Jodi to bring the pedophilia allegation into the case, then the state should damn well be able to show that Jodi has lied about Travis being a pedophile. I don’t understand it!

          • Stars99 says:

Wow… I didn’t know about that, kit9… it’s very weird to me at what evidence can be allowed and what is disallowed… It’s got to be hard as an attorney to think through all the possible ways a piece of evidence can turned around and used against your side of the case, too. I’m hoping that there’s someone on that jury who knows something about domestic violence… who will see there aren’t the tell tale signs present. I do wish Martinez would have developed more of a “Jodi was giving Travis this one last chance to choose her – if he didn’t, she planned to kill him – and she brought the tools to do just that” kind of posture.

            • kit9 says:

Apparently, Jodi forged these letters and then gave them to her mother while she was in jail to sell to some tabloid. This was the issue at the heart of the issue of Jodi sending coded messages to an ex BF in a magazine. The prosecutor got wind of the ‘letters’, got a hold of them and proved they were fabricated by Jodi but the judge didn’t allow it in. That’s why the coded messages in the magazine were only cryptically introduced at trial without full explanation and witnesses called. And, I’m just so angry about it! If the judge wouldn’t allow this in, she shouldn’t have allowed Jodi to testify at all about the pedophile charges since she KNEW that Jodi had gone to great lengths to lie about this issue in the past.

          • Lisa Renee says:

Kit & Stars, please remember I am a lay person but I have a theory. The allegations of pedophila were admitted through the phone sex. The letters were straight up fraud. This is a DP case so the judge has to tread extra lightly, keeping the defendants rights in the forefront of her rulings. If the DP is handed down, automatic appeal with every ruling being scrutinized. These letters were very prejudicial if the jury heard she had no qulams about defrauding the court. If this was not DP, I think the Judge may have admitted them. Just me & my GED, Lisa

            • kit9 says:

The pedophilia wasn’t introduced in the tapes, they were introduced only through Jodi’s testimony. She claimed to have walked in on him masturbating to a photo of a young boy. There was no other evidence to support the allegation.

              • Lisa Renee says:

Agreed the pedophilia allegations were brought out by JA and her walking in on him using photos of young boys to get off. The defense tried to give the allegation more weight than it deserved because Travis said JA sounded like a 12 year old little girl during the phone sex. Lisa

Do you think that was the “forgery” expert the state was bringing in? It was supposed to be on the day before closings, but they never had the expert on.

            • Lisa Renee says:

DND, that is a really great question. IIRC, the forgery expert was going to be part of the sur surerebuttal case if the state wanted. If InSession was still reporting I think we would be clearer. He wasn’t called but I never heard why. Keeing good thoughts for you & your dad, Lisa

      • Rebecca says:

People are just plain dumb. Lie after admitted lie after admitted lie and they are still living in fairy-land claiming she is innocent.

Local news showed where Jodi will be held after she is convicted. Prosecuted Martinez has sent other women there for Jodi to commiserate with.

      • realhousewifeva says:

There are lots of Jodi fans out there, which makes me sick, but that is unfortunately the world we live in. Lots of pervs are all into her after hearing all the sex stories.

    • realhousewifeva says:

HLN is saying the jurors decided to come in an hour later today, at 10 instead of 9. They are wondering if anything should be read into that…

      • Stars99 says:

It is almost 4:00 PM now… I’m trying not to read anything into the fact they haven’t come back with a verdict…

  8. BB watchers. I’m thinking we won’t worry about spoilers this year – just feel free to chat about live feeds, etc. Will that drive anyone off the blog?

    • Lisa Renee says:

Good morning to you NMD, I am one of those pathetic people who watch the live feeds, so that won’t drive me away. The only show I do not like spoilers for is Survivor & I had the same reaction as PVS lol. That said, I am responsible for my own spoilers so I stay off internet until Survivor is over. Appreciate you asking. BB on TV is a very different experience when you watch the feeds. If the consensus decides on no live feed talk I have no problem respecting it. Have a great day, Lisa

    • Cathy Connor says:

NMD I say lets make it as easy breezy as possible for everyone !!! Its summertime after all and it took forever to get here. Wont bother me a bit I scroll thru anything I havent seen yet no biggie and no worries here love…..((HUGS)) NMD really hard !!

    • TexasTart says:

WOW, I didn’t know we could watch BB on a live feed?! So when did a camera crew start following her?! Is it SO BAD it would drive people off the blog?! 😯

Sorry so silly, I simply could not resist because at first I thought of BB, as I am not a Big Brother follower. lol 😛

  9. Cityside says:

Nancy, All tied up. I am beginning to really like hockey!
Also, there is a show about Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe. I met Marty Howe during a senior trip to Florida, he was a really nice guy. He was shocked when I did not know who his dad was!

    Anyhoo, great game last night.

    • Kansas Girl says:

Wait. Are they playing this early in the morning? Did they play all night? I am SO out of the loop!

      • Stars99 says:

Hands “All We Are is Dust in the Wind” a loop… and helps her inside…

  10. realhousewifeva says:

Jeff/Mel, I`m so excited that you will be recapping NJ! I know that will be a great, unbiased read.

  11. MTH – Thanks for all your recaps! I haven’t been watching survivor and Amazing Race, but I sure do love your recaps. Leaves this reader “still in the loop,” and I really appreciate your sense of humor about it all. I can’t bring myself to watch NJ, but I’m very much looking forward to your recaps, always calling them as you see them. Who could ask for more?

Stars99 – I adore your take on cast blogs. Hilarious. I can’t wait to see what you’ll make of the NJ blogs. 🙂

Many thanks to both of you for taking this particular bull by the horns. Brave souls! ♥

    • Stars99 says:

Thanks, pastBostonian… I can’t wait ’til I see what I’ll make of the NJ blogs, either… lol… but one thing I can be sure of – that the fickle finger of snark will be generously applied to all…

      • chismosa says:

Stars– it got too late for me to know for sure if you would see my response to asking you about jersey the other day but a big THANK YOU for your thoughtful answer

I believe you have sold me ! Lol
….I’ll tread lightly as I see how comments come but for sure you have explained an objective place you seem to be coming from —- and thanks again!
        🐾🐾🐾😝boxboxbox

    • melthehound says:

Glad to keep you in the loop, Pastbostonian… As far as NJ is concerned, don’t put yourself through anything you don’t wan to. Not worth it 😉

  12. TexasTart says:

Cocfarm and my husband share the same birthday. Beautiful day here, hope it’s beautiful in the Chicago area too! So I need to leave to pick up some custom made cupcakes that my sister ordered and a gift. All my business reasons to leave work evaporated – he is privy to schedules since we work together – hmmm, what to say to escape and surprise him. hmmm Guess I will have to lie about something needs done stat, lol.

    • Kansas Girl says:

Happy birthday Mr. Texas! (Or is he Mr. Tart?)

      • TexasTart says:

lol, actually it’s Mr. T. I lied about picking up a job, only thing this will take longer!

    • Kansas Girl says:

“I gotta go!!!” and that urgent bathroom look in my eyes has always worked for me. No one dares ask why! LOL!

  13. TexasTart says:

MTH – thanks for the post today and TAR recap! 😀

  14. AZGirl says:

Good morning everyone! Happy Birthday Cocfarm and Mr. TT.
@ Stars99 I was watching the local news last night and they were interviewing the JA groupies who show up to try and get a seat in the gallery. They actually interviewed some I know! She works at the local grocery store and she was there waiting for the verdict. I am so ready for this to end.

    • Stars99 says:

Do you mean, “JA Groupies” as in – those who are “pro” Jodi or those whom believe she’s innocent? Wow… Oh, AZ, I’m sure you’re ready for it to be over… the prob is… that I’m confident it will be a 1st degree murder conviction – then we get to go through the penalty phase… Yippie for you! = ) No seriously, as a person who lives in an area that has a lot of high profile cases… I get really nervous when verdicts come in… I personally knew the jury foreman on the Rodney King case, the one that triggered the 1992 LA Riots. I have to say I’ve been pretty impressed by how your state has handled the whole thing. I haven’t seen unruly throngs of people or anything… which is awesome.

      • AZGirl says:

JA Groupies are not pro- JA they just want to be a part of the trial and be in the gallery. People have been showing up from all over the US to line up early in the morning and be in the lottery for a seat. Really crazy. If they don’t get into the courtroom they just hang out outside the building and talk to reporters.

  15. designernailsdiana says:

I’ll give you all a quick update on my Dad. He seems to have regained some of his vision, but is still not allowed to drive. His driving has scared me for a while anyway so this vision loss helped me end his driving anywhere. I’m now his personal driver. Let me just say it’s interesting. He goes to buy his lottery tickets every other day. He gets a few days worth at a time. I’m always going to the bank for him now to get cash out. He’s back to working part part time. 12-3 easy hours, but smack dab in the middle of my work day. My hubby and son have done the dropping off and picking up so far.(it’s been one day).
The VLR (Vision Loss Resource) lady came to see us yesterday. She’s helping us get the Metro Mobility ride program for him. He’s getting a free talking radio that will read him the paper and some other programs on it too. I’m going to rent a CCTV that he can put the paper under to magnify it and it’ll help when he’s trying to do things that require two hands and close up vision.
God has been good to me because my Hubby has been home to help drive him to work. I had hit the walk Sunday night. I was mad at the dog for peeing on the rug again. I was trying to carry the wet blanket that shed it’s final time in my washer to the deck before the trash can. Pearl got right under my feet and I almost went down. I yelled and cussed her out. Wonder where I learned those words? (Trampra I think). I felt awful for yelling at her because she’s just a dog and it wasn’t her fault she just wanted to be near me.
I cried and got myself together and loved her up. We’re best buds again.
I enjoyed a fun night out with friends Saturday night. I sang, danced and drank diet coke while laughing with my friends and hubby. I so needed that night out.
Keep the prayers and thoughts coming because this is just the beginning of my “new normal”.
    Bless You All!!!

    • melthehound says:

Continued best of luck DND 🙂

    • BB says:

DND. While you are transitioning to your “new normal,” you will find some blessings thrown in among the trials. I always thought my mom and I were pretty close throughout the years, but the past couple of months have brought us even closer. Last Friday we had some time between her doctor appointment and her hair appointment, so we stopped by Wendys and bought lunch and went to the our local park and sat in the car eating while duck watching and people watching. It’s something we probably would have never done if it weren’t for me being the taxi lady for my mom. It was a nice time just sitting there talking about inconsequential things.

      • Catseye says:

True. I had that same thought this past weekend, when I took my mother on her errands. We always have such fun wandering around the garden center, searching for bargains at the discount store and then stopping for lunch.

      • LaineyLainey says:

        That sounds nice, BB.

    • trudie says:

DND, maybe you could use this time to find out more about your family’s history. One of the best gifts I ever received was a boxed set of CDs my brother had made after spending a week’s vacation interviewing my dad. I learned about things about his childhood I never knew and have his first meeting of my mother on CD. It is an especially precious gift because my father lost the ability to speak clearly due to Parkinson’s, so my children had never really heard his voice. Wonderful gift.

    • AZGirl says:

Good for you that you got out and had a fun time! I am on the otherside of “new normal” and it was hard. But I survived and I am grateful for everyday.
Got my “pom pom’s” out and cheering you on Diana.

    • chismosa says:

DND prayers will always keep coming.
      Best to you

    • Powell says:

Diana bless your father. I’m so sorry he’s having problems w/his vision. You father sounds very sweet. He’s very lucky to have you & your family. I’m glad he’s still working. If nothing else It’s good for his mind, body & soul. Have you also looked into him getting TTY phone? That may be beneficial.

It’s good that you & your husband hung out w/friends. You need laughter, fun & just breathing room. Don’t forget to take care of yourself also. 🙂

    • LaineyLainey says:

I’ve added you and your pa to my daily prayer list. Thanks for the update. Keep ’em coming, sweet lady!!

  16. Butters'Mom says:

We are celebrating here in Cleveland. Our girls were found alive after 10 years being held captive. Amazing. I used to live right by were the girls were found about 15 years ago but have since driven by the house where they were found. I am kind of creeped out by it but so happy they were found alive. It truely is a miracle in Cleveland.

It would make my week now if JA is found guilty of murder 1.

    • Catseye says:

I am just stunned by that story of those poor girls being held captive. I think, that whenever anyone goes missing, the best thing to do is track them with scent dogs. It would probably solve some of this missing people/kids cases.

      • chismosa says:

They said they used dogs! I wonder what more there is into this!?
How did the dogs miss — or maybe the three bros devized a way to deter the dogs

    • Powell says:

Butter’s Mom I’m so happy for the ladies, their families & community. Isn’t the oldest one whose mom died in her 90’s? She died not knowing what happened. Those brothers should get extra time/punishment for that.

    • realhousewifeva says:

You are a Cleveland girl? I was born and raised in Parma! (in DC now) What a great day for Ohio

  17. designernailsdiana says:

Butters’Mom That story just gives me hope that Jacob Wetterling may some day be found alive too.

  18. Nancy says:

Happy Birthday Cocfarm. I bet I know what you want for your big day. 🙂 It’s never going to happen. lol

    Cityside,
What a great game it was. I was ready to throw in the towel 5 mins after it started.
I should give “my” guys more credit. Back to your home town on Wed. So glad you
are liking the sport as it’s a good one.
    xo

  19. lillybee says:

    Happy Birthday Cocfarm.

  20. djprincessc says:

Am I the only one who wanted to smack the SHIT outta Heather last night?? I mean MY GOD that woman is bitter, the word uptight doesn’t do her justice. No sense of humor and miserable, doesn’t she know how grateful and humble she should be?? She has a husband that has given her everything and a beautiful family. Most women would die for that and she better be careful because when men don’t feel appreciated they go find it elsewhere. Sure Terry can seem a little annoying and you can tell he likes to push her buttons but the way she reacts is too much. Idk I think she’s worse than Adrienne Maloof! Why did she marry Terry in the first place again???

    • mrs peabody says:

Money, why else. She needs to pull that stick out of her a** (can’t believe I said that but she brings out the worse in me). I thought it interesting when her son wanted to know if her mom and dad fought all the time too. Very telling. Some of the blogs are up over at Bravo, but of course no Tamara blog.

      • Powell says:

Yes Mrs peabody. Those are Gretchen’s words but its so true. That stick is way up there. 🙂

    • Catseye says:

I agree. I wonder if maybe she’s angry with him because he pushed her into doing the show? I also wonder if they sold their house because they couldn’t afford it and she’s frantically trying to get acting jobs because they need the money. A huge house like that, with all the maintenance, plus a housekeeper, gardener, nannies, must cost an awful lot of money.

    • djprincessc says:

You know I’ve always wondered about the money, I mean I know plastic surgeons make a TON of money but I read somewhere that she was worth 2 million and if your home just in itself costs millions how can they afford EVERYTHING else? 4 kids, cars, bills, food, maintenance etc?? and its not like they are living basically. Who knows? lol. I didn’t know he pushed HER into doing the show though.

      • Catseye says:

I remember reading that he refused to speak to her, for like 2wks, because she refused to do the show. I also remember Terry stating that, “we’ll never live in a house like this, again!”

  21. Powell says:

I just heard the whole story about the 3 ladies & the little girl that were rescued in Ohio. They’ve been kidnapped for yrs. I’m guessing the little girl was born there & fathered by one if the psycho brothers that kidnapped them. The neighbor is a hero. Right place & right time for him to have heard one of the ladies. I’m happy they can be reunited with their families.

    • djprincessc says:

I can never understand how women can be held captive for sooooo long and nobody notices anything going on!!?? And on top of that police had been to the house before and didn’t check anything!! This isn’t the first time this happens either, I’ve seen at least 3 other stories about kidnapping and the police didn’t do a thing about it. It really makes my blood boil that a girl or anyone for that matter could be kidnapped and held hostage for years at a house and nobody got to them earlier 😦

      • chismosa says:

The police had been there before? Oh god I hope Nightline has something on all this tonight.
        This story is just CRA-CRA

      • Powell says:

Sad isn’t it. I don’t know if its training or of police depts say they don’t have enough cause to do searches but something has to change.

        • chismosa says:

This is like Jaycee Duggard again, right? Police had come by before ?
I may be messing up the actual missing person case

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I hope they do a special on the whole thing cause it is just crazy!!!

      • LaineyLainey says:

THREE BROTHERS did this. that’s what boggles my mind. It’s plenty weird to have one man decide to take a woman and keep her against her will to use her for his own personal pleasure; to treat her as a possession or property. It’s another to have two people in cahoots,…but usually one is more dominant than the other (like an abused wife)…but to have THREE BROTHERS!!!! Really???!! There’s not a conscience in that bunch? There’s not a decent brother? Are the genes in that family THAT MESSED UP??? There’s not a good brother. Every family has good brothers. One or more may be bad, but there’s got to be a good one? no? The fact they kept this secret all of this time…that one of them didn’t confess to someone or even brag to someone…it’s just an incredible story.

  22. Powell says:

I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. Our power just went out. All it did es rain. No storms. What the frackanackle is this? Grrrrrrr. 🙂

    • djprincessc says:

      Frackanackle???!?!? hhahahahahahhaha!

    • chismosa says:

      Powell you are in jersey?
We in ny are expecting rain ALL DAY tomorrow. Hope it pops back on for you soon.

      • Powell says:

Whew!!! My power just came back on. Thk you Pepco Gods. 🙂

Chismosa I’m in MD. It’s been raining all day but no storms & no high winds so the only thing I can think of is maybe some idiot hit a power line. We don’t have power lines in my immediate area but I think when my area was built they connected us to the closet power lines 2 minutes away.

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Oh thank God it’s back on Powell!!!

          • Powell says:

Yes. I can’t stand when that happens. And my poor bird. He didn’t have his radio. He listens to music all day.

            • chismosa says:

Glad it’s back Powell! Sorry I remembered you were here east somewhere —-

  23. kit9 says:

Only an hour left…probably no verdict today.

    • Powell says:

I know. I wonder what the jurors are stuck on? About 6:05 est 5 jurors were escorted out w/the deputy for a break. It’s said it was probably a smoke break. 13hrs 21 min in.

      • AZGirl says:

My thought is that they sat through all this ridiculous sh#t and they want make sure their decision is true to the evidence given. I am thinking there is 2 ways to go here. First, they want to make sure that all evidence points to 1st degree murder. That there is no question whatsoever because after this comes the sentencing part. Second, that there are a few jurors holding out on 2nd degree. If so they need to sway those juror leaning towards 1st degree to 2nd degree. Or, hopefully it is not a hung jury.

    • realhousewifeva says:

I`m having a feeling it will be 2nd degree murder.

      • chismosa says:

yes, after taking this long…. it doesn’t look good. For JUSTICE i mean.

        • RealhouseWifeva says:

You changed your clothes, we aren’t twins! I feel sick and if these jurors don’t give her murder 1, they need to be slapped

          • chismosa says:

That is because I wanted a new “color” and it worked on the computer but on my phone it’s actually quite easier to spot “myself”- responses and that–in red. So I think I may stay a twin at times. Lol

  24. chismosa says:

MTH/Jeff- thanks for the recap of Amazing Race- just a quick question, what did you mean by Snooki’s hometown- the Dominican Republic? Snooki from jersey shore? Or are you calling someone else a Snooki?
    Just wondering ….

I was very happy for the brothers – who i guess dont hug when happy big events happen? but was rooting for Derby. They are going to have to do an all female race to get females to win I’m telling ya!
Hate that max, sooooooooooo happy he didn’t win. That was pure pleasure. 😛box

    • djprincessc says:

Chismosa, I replied to your post from yesterday!! Hope all is well!! Btw Snooki was born in Chile in case you wanted to know 🙂

      • chismosa says:

Hi! Yes I knew she was Chilean so that’s why I didn’t get the DR reference? But maybe it’s some joke I missed out on ?

I’m reading backwards, will check your response now

      • melthehound says:

Well, there are two different versions. I heard she was from the DR.

    • melthehound says:

Snooki is from NY. She is adopted however from the Dominican Republic. Yes, that Snooki (Nicole).

😀 I remember our convos last season about a 2 woman team winning. I was really hoping the Derby moms had won also.

      • chismosa says:

She’s Chilean but maybe she went through DR? I never heard that before. I’ll have to google —

        Thank you

        • lillybee says:

At one time the DR was rumored to have very lax adoption laws.

          • chismosa says:

You know I never hear about adoptions from there. That is so interesting you say that

I know many people who were looking to adopt and basically went: Russia/Ukraine, Colombia, and I suppose– China (girls only of course)

      • djprincessc says:

She was born in Chile and adopted when she was 6 months old by parents who were Italian and lived in NY. I’ve seen her interviewed saying this.

        • LaineyLainey says:

          I think she’s cute.

          • chismosa says:

Me too Lainey, I find her very pretty WITH NO MAKEUP ON- disclaimer
She can look a little cross-eyed at times. She’s cute. Son is very cute

I still think she and Vinny are true loves btw, lol

            • LaineyLainey says:

Though she is the antithesis of class and ladylike manners…She has nice features and pretty hair (weaves,..haha!!). But remember when she was wearing a weave that looked like a dead gray rat on the back of her head. It was like Under the black hair. It was truly awful. LOL!!

              • chismosa says:

                lolllllll
                and then the red streaks….
just au naturel suits her so well. When all those ‘celebs’ send out the tweets of unfiltered, natural, no makeup photos- she was one of the most beautiful.

                • LaineyLainey says:

As a loyal Wendy watcher…I remember Wendy showing us her pic. She IS a natural beauty. She does pile on the make-up.

        • chismosa says:

          Yes DJ^^^^^
Wonder where this DR stuff came from? She’s always been so forthcoming about where she was from. She looks totally Latin among all the Italian girls it was so cute.
Plus she’s so short – which some L.American countries have a lot of short women (and men!)
My mom’s barely 5’1 but my brother is 6’1 which we don’t know how?!? Lol 😳box

          • djprincessc says:

No clue Chismosa! I’ve never heard Dominican before, I mean all you have to do is google it and it comes up too, lol. But I did see when she had that interview on E! I think it was her bio that she said she was Chilean and being adopted and all that.

She’s tiny!! 4’11! My mom is from Honduras and 5’2 my dad is Mexican descendant and 6ft and I’m 5’6 hahhahaah who knows??!

            • LaineyLainey says:

              YOu’re a perfect height, imo.

              • djprincessc says:

Thanks Lainey! I’d agree if men weren’t so damn short these days!! I’m 5’6 but look taller for some reason. I’m always the same height as them or a little taller. I always joke with my mom how mothers didn’t feed their boys enough vegetables and thats why they’re short. lol.

            • melthehound says:

I heard it on the show.. It doesn’t really matter to me, I could be completely wrong. Hey, it happens, Jack 😉 (duck dynasty reference)

              • chismosa says:

no biggie— i was just wondering where it came from/ i hate to miss out on a good JOKE. lol

Maybe they said something like that to call her Dominican or something on the show- who knows with the $hit that spewed from all those mouths

Gosh i remember the days that show was like IT. Then it was …. downnnnn

                • chismosa says:

Oh ps I didn’t mean this “calling Domincan” as a negative, just that those idiots on that show probably don’t know what they are saying, accuracy-wise.

                  Just wanted to be clear
                  😊box

                • melthehound says:

It isn’t any big deal. I just remembered hearing or reading (can’t swear which at this point) that she was adopted in the DR. I assumed from that, it’s where she was from. I saw the E interview and don’t remember her saying she was Chilean either but I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to it.

            • chismosa says:

DJ i’m 5’7. Your father is very tall for Mexican. Is he 100%? because girl that is TALL for Mexican/Central American/Latin men! Maybe he has something mixed in there…
My dad (Greek)- is only 5’8. But my mother says her mother (who she never knew, died in childbirth of her sister)- was supposedly super tall. So maybe with the genes, little things pop up. You know i’m obsessed with that genetic stuff. LOL.

I truly fall for the ‘didn’t feed them well enough when younger’ when it comes to people’s heights too. Don’t know how true it is….

I’m not TOO sure if he’s 100% Mexican, he’s 4th generation Mexican American grew up in Santa Monica. I remember him googling or something our last name and I think it traces back to royalty bc he would always joke and say please I’m blue blood. LOL. I think their is some Spanish somewhere in there.

Idk if the vegetable thing is true, but it sounds good so I stick with it! hahaha!

You should do an ancestry thing if you could. I would do that in a millisecond if I could, but my parents are not from here so it would be international and well, difficult
There was a super interesting thing on Jeff probst’s show where you send a bit of your spit to this company and they are scientists and they completely analyze where you biologically came from. Like, literally thousands of years ago where you are tied to.
I wrote all the info down so one day I can do that lol.

                  • djprincessc says:

WOW!! Really?? I had no idea! Thanks for the info, that’s so cool! It must be expensive though huh??

I wonder what the jury is thinking on? We won’t know if they ask the judge for anything right? If they want anything read back? I think I heard that on HLN…I can’t wait til this is over and I won’t have to see these HLN people for a while!!!

    • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

The jury is leaving for the day…no verdict!!

    • realhousewifeva says:

I want to know what`s going on! Casey Anthony jury took 10 hours and she was acquitted. OJ simpson was 4 hours. I wonder if the amount of time a jury takes means anything.

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

It seems like no one knows!! HLN gave me a head ache today!! They talk in circles-I’m hoping they are taking their time b/c they know how disgusting the murder was and what a big job they have!!

        • LaineyLainey says:

He is GORGEOUS. So sexy. He reminds of Sawyer from “Lost” remember him? Josh Holloway.

          • chismosa says:

That’s it too….. SAWYER. omg. i miss Lost so much. Those were such fun days.
            You got it!

        • Mene Seela says:

That actor plays Jaimie Lannister on Game Of Thrones.

          • chismosa says:

Ahhhhhh. Beautiful. Hope he has lots of love scenes as I know those are notorious on that show. Lol

Regarding the 3 women that were kidnapped in Cleveland…I must be Gladys Kravits (Bewitched). Who does not know what is going on next door? I do. All the time. I am sure the neighbors joke about me looking out my front window.
Whoever the detectives were on the initial kidnapping investigation totally FAILED. All three were sequestered in a home 3.5 miles from where they were taken.
What did Boston do? Door to Door.. Just think if they had done that in Cleveland what the results would have been ten years ago?

  28. Mene Seela says:

Hey MTH, thank you for TAR blog. I was totally fine with any of the teams winning. The hockey brothers are just nice people just like the country girls and roller moms. I even warmed up to the couple, they weren’t such jerks as I first thought and their teamwork was awesome (I also liked how he called her The Brain).
I wished there was a celebrity version of TAR but I guess it would be disruptive to the race. I recalled Rob & Amber being mobbed by Survivor fans during season 7.

I guess Sunday nights will settledown now that TAR and Good Wife are over.

    • chismosa says:

i would LOVE a celeb edition. I don’t know why they don’t try it. Something new. The family edition sucked, IMO – and i think that is the ONE YEAR they never won the Emmy. (STASSI was on that….)

Mike White (who did my FAVORITE show, now cancelled- Enlightened, on HBO)— he did it with his father and he’s quite a celeb. I feel like he did it two times. Writer/director/actor.

I remember Rob and Ambuh being quite good when on TAR. I think i watched them at times on Survivor back many years. I watched in the days of Ethan and the girlfriend.

      • Mene Seela says:

I really enjoyed Rob and Amber. Smart, charming, funny and cunning. Rob actually talked teams into a mass boycott of eating some disgusting inards.

    • melthehound says:

Your welcome 😀 There was no real crap thrown around.. I just didn’t like the couple almost from the get go and never really gave up on that.

Anyone watching the Amanda Knox interview on CNN with Cuomo? Is he being spectacularly unprofessional or is it me? He asked the ‘are you a sexual deviant’ question 4 times.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes Lynnfam! It was a great day. I managed to get sunburnt while shopping for plants in a greenhouse! Those of you who are local, Found, in Evanston is a fab place for a meal. Highly recommend it. In chicago mag, it was rated number 3 in the best 20 new restaurants in Chicago.

TT, happy bday to you hubby! That’s one bullish husband!

Lainey squared, loved that bday song! You are too cute.

Jeff, thanks for the blog! I was glad for the hockey guys especially after they said they need new teeth! The married couple wasnt that bad at the end. They at least seemed to treat each other better than most married couples on that show. Too bad about the moms. But they ran a good race.

My burned and buzzed body is going to bed. Thanks Again Lynnfam!

I have finally found a reality show that I can watch without cringing. It is the Little Couple. It is a story of a little couple who are married and trying to start a family. She is a neo-natal doctor and he runs few business. After a failed surrogate pregnany, they are adopting a little boy from China and a girl from India. The children that they are adopting are dwarfs, too.
They are both so sweet and happy and kind. I kinda wish that there would be more shows like this that are positive.

    • HuskerHuny says:

Agree Lillybee – I watched a few minutes of it last night and thought to myself that these two people can’t be on TV – they are too normal. How lucky those two kids will be to be adopted by them. Just like Duck Dynasty, there are some great reality shows that can actually make you feel good!

      • LaineyLainey says:

I agree with you HuskerHuny – about both of those shows. Why ARE those shows such feel-good viewing. Could it be that the people who star in them are of higher character? (duh…..)

Good morning everyone! Hopefully today we get a verdict in the JA trial. I missed OC again yesterday. It is aired so early here. I did see one part of Monday night. Vicki and her mink jacket. Really who wears fur anymore? It is so gross. The thought of wearing an animal pelt at dinner just really turned by stomach. Then of course there is Brooks which did not help the nausea. I wished I had seen Heather’s melt down. Reading about it yesterday was hilarious.

    • LaineyLainey says:

I just can’t understand why it’s taking so long (for the JA verdict). How could anyone have reasonable doubt.
