Good morning everyone. You all had me cracking up about the “3 hots & a cot” comments last night. You all just keep me laughing. 😀 You all have a great day & happy humpety day.

      Good Morning Everyone and Powell!

I left a comment (last one in the previews page) About Lydia entering to Vicki’s house… everything was so “Magic” , so Beautiful… Then she sees the Penguins on the swimming pool and was… What? Oooopsies!!! There are NO Penguins in the North Pole, the Penguins are in The South Pole! Reason for which Polar bears don’t eat Penguins! Not Polar bears in the South Pole NOR Penguins in the North Pole! Haa. That made laugh so hard! Because the theme was their trip to Canada… If the theme was just the magic of snow… OK! But it was specific to the North… Lydia’s face: Priceless! Cats don’t bark, Vicki!!!

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

That Lydia is so hippy dippy cute-I don’t even mind her headbands!!!!

        • melthehound says:

The headbands trigger my gag reflex.

          • lizzle says:

lol… I don’t wear headbands, but I have a friend that has worn them for years… but I have many hippy dippy friends.

            • melthehound says:

I don’t want to cast aspersions on women who wear them, it doesn’t change my life one way or the other if they do. I feel the same way about the dickheads who wear bandanas to cover what use to be their hairline (brett michaels).

              • princesspindy says:

He wears those to keep his wig on, lol!

              • MTH I agree. I hate the comb overs too or the ponytails. I always say “Where’s my scissors?” it cracks MrDesigner up when I point one out. He’s got the almost shaved head look going on now. I LOVE it.
I wear headbands occasionally, but not across my forehead it looks like a hippy headband then and that’s only fine for 60-70’s themed parties.
I’ll try to change my avatar to our Jamaica hippies look today.

                • melthehound says:

I shaved mine off 4 years ago… Let it grow out some, cut it all off again… I call the combover the hot lap. The hair from the side makes a lap around the top of the head.

                • Powell says:

You tell me you don’t like The Donald’s hairstyle? 😉

              • Powell says:

LOL MTH. Headbands aren’t covering bald hairlines though. I like Brett but every time I see him I say to myself “what’s behind that bandanna”. How about when he doubles it up w/a cowboy hat? 🙂

                • melthehound says:

Even more ridiculous. Hairbands were dead with Seattle Grunge in the early 90s.. He needs to follow suit of the rest of them and cut that shit off (and dude, Please, Write a new phuckin song.. Your Rose is long gone from your life- another thing that triggers the gag reflex).

                  • Powell says:

Hahahaha. I told you I’m eating lunch. That was good. I know you’re a guy but Brett is handsome, has great eyes. I can’t imagine him bald. 😉

                    • melthehound says:

Sorry about your lunch Powell 😆 I’m not knocking anybody’s like for the guy, I like him too…

                  • turtletime! says:

HA! Totally agree re the headband AND that Rose song. It’s his claim to fame, I guess, but come on!

              • lizzle says:

I thought your comment was funny MTH. I look stupid in a head band.

        • Powell says:

Hey. I have headbands. Haven’t worn them in awhile though. 🙂

      • Powell says:

HA Cusi!! I haven’t seen it yet. That is funny. I can’t wait to see Lydia’s face. She is the brightest light on ALL of the franchise. I like many if the other ladies but Lydia is about family, friendship & peace making. She won’t stop until everyone has hashed out whatever it is. She is the “friend whisperer” or whatever she called herself.

  2. T-Rex says:

Bringing this over as someone asked about the timeline of everything that had happened.

DJ, the alleged fraud started in 2001 and continued into 2009, the second season of the show when they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They lied, according to the indictment, on many of their bankruptcy claims, and under oath in a Federal Court. Their attorneys in 2010 had to redact the bankruptcy filing since there were assets and income that were not included in the bankruptcy. This was done “with prejudice” meaning they could not file again for I believe 2 years. The Juicy’s claimed in public tabloids they would make restitution to the parties involved, they have not done so, and I believe are being sued in the civil courts. Note when you file bankruptcy and you owe a large financial institution millions of dollars they have a team of lawyers who are going to do everything in their power to dig up any dirt financially on you, they work at that point hand in hand with the courts to try and prove you shouldn’t be allowed to file Chapter 7. When the banks found all of those fraudulent(allegedly) backup that was used to obtain those forms, I am sure they couldn’t have been on the phones fast enough to the Feds to report them and turn them over to Feds. So for the last almost 3 1/2 years the Feds have been slowly and meticulously compiling their information to formerly indict the Juicy’s in Federal court. The process takes so much time because the Feds do it “right” they get everything lined up and on point, it’s the reason of their more than 90% conviction rates, they don’t indict on what they can’t prove. To add, the Juicy’s lawyers are claiming the “fame” issue as to the Feds targeting them, and I would agree, HOWEVER, it doesn’t make the charges less criminal, and they shouldn’t have gone on a public television show and stayed on the show after fraudulently filing Bankruptcy paperwork or having allegedly committed fraud to obtain monies from banking institutions. So, you can blame the fame, for the indictment, but you need to blame their “need” for fame as to why they are in the place they are.

    • nyc mama says:

And it has also been noted that the Trustee of their original bankruptcy has been working with the Feds after being contacted by them. This does not seem like a case brought on by a snitch as so many want to believe but by the Giudice’s own flaunting of their faux wealth and the need for attention and their brazen actions.

I find it astounding how so many want to shift the blame to others for the Giudices problems claiming jealousy etc. when in fact it is no one’s fault but their own.

I also understand why no one, including T’;s brother isn’t tweeting or commenting, on this. First of all the d@mned if they do or don’t and I have been told they have probably been advised it is in T’s best interests to not say anything. As much animosity that has been between them I do not believe they or any other cast member wants to see T or J goe to jail or face such serious charges.

      • T-Rex says:

I agree with you NYC a trustee is assigned by the courts and must divulge any information good or bad. The Juicy’s did the crime and will have to do the time. Again these indictments are serious, I noted that some folks think the charges won’t stick, they will. How this works the lawyers will get together to make some sort of plea deal, JuicyJoe will be probably be going to jail, it’s just a question as to whether Teresa will also go to jail. Note, that if they plead to lesser charges it would be in exchange for higher fines, fines which can never be charged off into a bankruptcy down the road.

      • rabblerouser2010R says:

While it can be argue that the might have been advice not to say anything publicly, especially if they are showing their support in private; actions speak louder than words.

Last night Joe and Melissa Gorga were partying in Las Vegas and from the pictures and video I saw, it looked like they didn’t have a care in the world. Granted Melissa had a booked appearance,so there might have been some fall out if she failed to show up, so she’s probably entitled to a bit of slack…Joey…Teresa’s brother didn’t have to be there; yet he chose to be.

All his claims he made how he would be there for his sister in the event of Juicy going to jail now seem like just pomp and circumstance.

    • Powell says:

      T-Rex I can’t say anything but Yep… 🙂

  3. VV says:

ROL reporting (not the most reliable of gossip magazines) that joe tried to intimidate creditors and broken windows and blah blah blah. I’d like to see the police reports when those incidents happened. Isn’t Tom Murro Kim Grannytell’s best buddy. I think we’ll see a well orchestrated effort to continue to mud the Guidices name. Why are all these allegations coming up now?
There’s more to this story than what’s out there much more…

    • It seems like the lawyer for the former business partner (the one that appeared on the show with Kim G) is on a smear campaign. I can’t respect a lawyer who would appear on a reality show for her 15 minutes. I agree there is probably so much more to this story. We’re only seeing the charges on the things the feds think are air tight and meet federal jurisdiction. There were probably many many other shady things that were done, and many many people that are pissed off and lost money.

      • VV says:

Yes, but that lawyer (Monica Chacon) is Kim G’s friend. Kim G took her to the Christmas party. So, is all connected. Kim G is a friend to both Tom Murro and the attorney.

    • T-Rex says:

VV NEVER believe RadarOnliarliarpantsonfire(allegedly) almost 90% of their stuff is absolutely false(allegedly). Look, I agree with the Fed indictments, but JuicyJoe is followed almost non-stop, if he did anything to intimidate someone criminally I have no doubt what so ever that crap would have come out months, even years ago there would be police reports somewhere. Do I believe that Juicy told folks if they talk that he would never employ them, sure, probably , people tell folks everyday they are going to “blacklist” them in the heat of the moment. Plus consider the sources.

      • VV says:

True but Monica hasn’t denied. If her reputation is that important to her like she claimed on the show. Why hasn’t she released a statement to deny that report?

      • Rebecca says:

The 10% that they do get right is just copying someone else’s story. Somebody posted about Holly Madison’s boyfriend being in troubel and I read that on another website MONTHS AGO.

    • Noelle says:

ROL lacks any kind of credibility.
      Go scratch ROL!

      • lizzle says:

You would think… right? But I saw a RadarOnline rep on MSNBC or HLN talking about something (not Teresa)… I was so stunned that someone from Radar Online would be on mainstream cable news that I didn’t even catch what they were talking about. So… I guess all news is crap these days.

  4. AZGirl says:

Good morning Powell and everyone. Hope all is well. I have a sick feeling that this just the beginning of Federal charges. Next is Chris Laurita taking all the cash from this apparel company. 55 million gone. Off to the gym. BBL

    • VV says:

RT has recent video if Kim Grannytell making fun of Teresa in jail. It’s disgusting.

      • I wonder why she hates Teresa so much. Kim G seems to have a few screws loose.

        • VV says:

          She coo coo big time😳

        • Joymama says:

Kim G did offer Teresa her orange Birkin to match the jail jumpsuit. That’s nice isn’t it?? Gah, the vile people.

        • Rebecca says:

She has no dog in this fight. Never did. She is Jacqueline’s buddy though – so what is the hanging out with trash statement again?

          • realhousewifeva says:

Jac tweeted that she hasn`t seen Kim G in two years and she actually called her out on gloating when an enemy comes upon hard times.

            • Rebecca says:

KIm G said (earlier, not now during these crazy circumstances) that she, Jacqueline, and Monica Chacon frequetly hang out. Jacqueline adding the timeline is a huge red flag.

              • nyc mama says:

Kim G has made many statement s that have turned out to be less than truthful. I would take what she says with a grain of salt. Did she recently make that statement? Has she ben shown with Jacqueline this year or last? I ask these because I truly don’t know. The last I remember her was at the party where she and the lawyer were thown out. I stopped watching this goat rodeo mid last season and haven’t seen any episodes or paid attention this year until this story broke and has been everywhere.

                • melthehound says:

I think F Nut said in some twitter that she hadn’t heard from Grannytel in a couple years or something like that…

                  • nyc mama says:

Thanks. AFter I posted that I was sorry I did. I don’t want to discuss that arse anymiore and give her what she is so desperately seeking…attention, but thanks for the response.

        • AZGirl says:

She made out with Michael Lohan. That is crazy.

      • Noelle says:

Put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.
        (Apologizing to cute pigs everywhere.)

      • melthehound says:

I am going to say this right here and now. If Bravo ever puts that dust dry bitch back on the air, I’m done with them and all of their shows. Even if fanny andy drags her out for WWHL.

        • nyc mama says:

I agree. She is disgusting. I would have like to use many other words to characterize her but don’t want to go there. I feel. the same way about her SIL, the other Kim. Both are trash.

      • lori says:

She’s pretty vile. Anyone who is happy over 4 little girls possibly losing their parents to jail is sick. If they are found guilty they should do the time but those girls don’t deserve this. IMO

        • NJBev says:

Everytime I think of the girls I get such a strange,
sick feeling. It is very possible that their parents
will end up in jail-even though, for me, it’s impossible to
          imagine such a scenario-
These 4 girls face a future that may not include
their parents. It weirds me out…………………….

          • realhousewifeva says:

I agree. I can`t imagine anyone having so much hate for TV personalities, that they are excited 4 young girls might lose their parents..

      • lizzle says:

I refuse to say her name. Her 2minutes are up…. bye bye Granny.

    • Powell says:

I’m really interested in their sh@t don’t stink Lauritas. Jac told Tre at the reunion she hopes Joe goes to jail. If so I hope Chris joins him. 3hots & 2 cots for two.

      • Contessa says:

Kim G is a disgusting human being, revelling in the thought of someone going to jail. She is so pissed off that Tre called her old…which I thought was pretty funny. I pegged her for around 20 years older than she really was. What I find hilarious was that scene where Danielle was trying to teach that old hag dancing on the stripper pole….there she was with her arse cheeks, hanging down on the back of thighs, wrinkly old skin (I am not being bad – I am in my 60’s). She has never gotten over the fact she was not a housewife. With regard to this lawyer beyotch Monica Chacon, she should be sanctioned by the NJ courts. Condust not becoming a lawyer.

        • melthehound says:

Not again with Grannytel and the stripper pole…. The idea of her saggy bottom hanging out of the hot pants…. I just can’t…

        • windycitywondering2 says:

Bingo – granny saggy ass was mad that Teresa made fun of her and now she is getting her revenge!
The quote that pissed both the Manzo spawn and granny saggy ass off from Teresa’s Fabulicious Family Cookbook is so mild considering the mileage gotten from it:
“This is a family cookbook! Unlike some other “housewives”, I do not condone young girls stripping to bring business into a carwash; OLD LADIES IN HOT PANTS CLIMBING UP A POLE TO BRING THEIR SEXY BACK, or videotaping yourself in any state of undress at any time.”
No surprise that GrannyG is wildly over the top once again…..

  5. T-Rex says:

I would like to point out another point. When the Feds go after folks they acquire their documents and take depositions from the folks involved, they do not take anything said by some random idiots, that is “hearsay”. I am sure that the loan officers and bank personnel involved were deposed and I am sure most have probably been fired for their actions in giving out the loans. Anyone that was involved in creating the Fake W-2 forms were deposed(other than the Juicy’s themselves), that lawyer Ms. Chacon, probably wasn’t deposed as her case isn’t even a part of the indictments made the other day. She is patting herself on the back for information the bank lawyers would have found, or had already found prior to the bankruptcy redaction. The Feds were involved once the hidden assets came to light. I am sure the government was inundated with calls giving up dirt on these folks, no doubt, but for those three morons to think they were the ones that created all of this is ludicrous.

    • melthehound says:

Somebody get the net and fly swatter out. Catch and swat that bitch.

      • Contessa says:

Monica and her H represented Joe’s partner…trust me he knows where the bodies are buried in this case. I have no doubt he turned states evidence and copped plea as his ass was on the line somewhere in all of this.

        • VV says:

          I think so too.

        • T-Rex says:

Oh Contessa, I would agree that the partner was definitely deposed, but again it would be completely logical for the Feds to depose him, in spite of his attorney and the lawsuit, he was Juicy’s partner. He hates Juicy and I think would drop a dime on him in two heartbeats. I just don’t get that this attorney is all out there in the middle of this mess.

  6. lori says:

Someone asked yesterday about the IVF clinic Tre and Joe owed money to but I didn’t read it until this morning so I couldn’t respond. Ironically that’s the same clinic my DH and I used for our third child. Dr. Miller was soooooo unhappy having her clinic in the news story about all the people Tre owed money too. Didn’t want to be associated with all the Real housewives stuff. My assumption is they went to Dr. Miller trying to have a boy because that’s why we went but it’s 100% an assumption.

  7. Rebecca says:

I watched GMA this morning and Dan Abrams gave his take:

uicy and Teresa have separate lawyers because they have separate charges brought against them. This does not mean they are turning on each other.

If convicted on all charges, the most they will probably serve is 5-10 years with early parole.

IMHO – they can’t make all the charges stick… and KARMA Is a BITCH to anyone celebrating another person’s demise.

    • HuskerHuny says:

To those who are celebrating this, shame on you.

I just want the law of the land to be carried out. If it is proved that Joe and Teresa did indeed break the law, they must be held accountable. Nothing more, nothing less.

If there are others who have as well done unlawful things, they too must be brought forward and dealt with. We are all innocent until proven guilty. But the law must be served.

    • lizzle says:

Rebecca… I am a strong believer in redemption and whatever happens with Teresa and Joe… I believe they can move through this and come out on the other side better than before. I have already seen a major attitude adjustment in Teresa from Season 2 through now. She has been humbled. Anyways… I was just watching TI and Tiny… TI went to prison for almost a year on a federal weapons charge. They have young children too. But he wrote an album in prison and came back stronger than ever. He is now an actor and novelist as well as a musician. This isn’t a death sentence and I truly believe Teresa will come out of this stronger than before… whether she serves time or not.

      • VV says:

        Well said Lizzle.

      • mrs peabody says:

agree, I think she is stronger than she ever thought and a lot of people gave her credit for. It’s amazing what you can do to survive when you have to.

      • chismosa says:

That’s what I said initially, this will elevate her saintly status if anything. “””What a strong strong woman to go through this !””

Get my vomit bag ready. Barf

  8. christi44 says:

I apologize if this has been posted. I didn’t see it yesterday when I read the comments. Anyway, here is a story from ABC about Juicy and Tre’s case: http://xfinity.comcast.net/video/real-housewives-stars-husband-could-be-deported/39381059912/

    • melthehound says:

No need to apologize Christi but yes, we know he isn’t a citizen and faces deportation, after his sentence is served.,

      • christi44 says:

I knew that the deportation was posted 🙂 I just thought the coverage on “mainstream media” was interesting. Regardless of the merits of the case, I find his parents’ love and support heartwarming.

        • melthehound says:

I find it funny as pop Giudice lets the photogs know what he thinks of them while giving them something to photograph.

  9. Rebecca says:

Let’s list the “clean” houseiwves, shall we? Scandal-free. There’s less of them than there are “dirty” ones. Your hands are “dirty” if you turn a blind eye to your “dirty” family too.

NY – Probably all but Sonja, although I’m sure Aviva’s icky father isn’t a saint.
DC – All but the Salamis
Atl – Hmmm. Just Kandi? Maybe Cynthia?
    OC – Lydia
BH – Lisa (maybe – her step-son seems to be unpopular in London)
    NJ – (LMAO)
    Miami – ??

    • lori says:

I remember a few years ago Bravo did a promotion something like “live like a real housewife” and all I could think was why would I want my house foreclosed and go through bankruptcy? Who could have imagined those were the least of the things to come for some of these women…sad.

      • HuskerHuny says:

I think I remember someone asking a housewife why the housewife shows were so popular and her (can’t remember who it was) response was “I think everyone wants to be us and live like we do.” Ha! Really? I can’t think of a single housewife I would change lives with.

    • turtletime! says:

I think Aviva’s dad was sued by Mary Lou Retton, but I don’t remember why. Was Yolanda involved in something scandalous?

      • Rebecca says:

I was skeptical about putting Yolanda in there because of Mohammed’s legal battle with Stallone. If this took place after her divorce, I would add her into the clean list.

        • nyc mama says:

That happened after she was already married to Foster, long after the divorce. But Hadid has had many lawsuits brought against him over the years as many developers do. What they were and how they turned out I do not know.

        • turtletime! says:

Right. Mohammed. He seems a bit of a shyster, so probably was even while married to yolanda. Kandi has earned her weath pretty legitimately, but she and Bravo might not have treated the winning contestants on her “hit factory” show very fairly, if they are to be believed.

      • lizzle says:

Mary Lou Retton? What? I gotta look that one up. She was my idol.

      • windycitywondering2 says:

Retton was involved in a real estate deal George was promoting. She lost her money.

    • Jessica G. says:

I think you’re right on about Aviva’s father. Cynthia-yes-Peter, no. No one who owns clubs is 100% clean. Don’t like Heather, but I think on the upandup. Love love Lisa, but no way clean. I have heard stories about Ken from London friends (gay) who said he started out running a group of gay clubs (1970s) and has London mob connections.

    • lizzle says:

Celebs who served time: Tim Allen (1.4 pounds of cocaine), Paul McCartney (half pound of marijuana), Zsa Zsa Gabor (slapped police officer, open container, unregistered vehicle, no drivers license), 50 cent (heroine, crack, gun.. received GED in prison), Martha Stewart (conspiracy, obstruction, lying), Lil Wayne (marijuana, gun), Robert Downey Jr (served 1 year.. missed probation drug test), Ja Rule (over 2 years for taxes, gun), Mark Wahlberg (served 45 days of 2 year sentence for attempted murder), Richard Hatch (survivor winner served 3 years for not paying taxes on the million he won), Wesley Snipes (still serving… has already been in for 3 years… failure to file income tax), Paris Hilton (breaking probation), Wynona Judd (DUI..1 year suspended sentence.. probably only spent 1 night in jail), Michelle Rodriquez (violation of probation), Christian Slater (assaulting girlfriend), Danny Trejo (my personal fav… served 11 years for drug and robbery, got out in 1972.. he became an actor after prison)

I Got this from HuffPost. There are more. Teresa and Joe are innocent until proven guilty, so who knows what will happen. If I were a gossip blog or former friend, I would definitely put “allegedly” in front of “thief, fraud, stolen” because if it is proven otherwise… if I were Teresa… I would sue the crap out of everyone who has written slanderous comments. And pay off the government on the back of those who couldn’t help but to gloat. But that is just me.. Teresa usually rises above.

      • mrs peabody says:

mark Wahlberg – attempted murder- wow….

        • lizzle says:

I guess that one was an assault that got pretty bad… from reading it, it seems like the guy was down and he kept kicking. I don’t remember hearing about that one so it was surprising.

      • melthehound says:

Love the post, Lizzle. Especially the last part…

      • AZGirl says:

Believe it or not the kid that busted Martha Stewart is the nephew of one of our clients.

        • lizzle says:

You are 2 degrees of separation from the nephew and 3 degrees from Martha. They say we all are 6 degrees of separation from each other… I wonder how I am connected to Martha. I’m guessing it would be more like the 6th degree. #randompost

      • Powell says:

Mark W. I don’t remember that. Wesley Snipes is on house arrest or a halfway house to complete his sentence. You’re right. There are sooooooo many more. The fav of celebs is tax evasion. Why don’t these people pay their taxes? They should be paying them quarterly anyway since they are self employed. They wouldn’t have to worry about it if they paid quarterly.

Kim G is a vile creature. And Teresa would be better served not having kim’s SIL, the other Kim (D) speaking out for her since Kim D likes to brag how connected she is.

I can’t help but think if T and J did this because they had a bad year and did so to put food on the table and get through then they would have more support than they do. But that is not the case here. It seems like this was a way of life for them and continued to be done for many years. Instead of flaunting all she acquired they could have sold a few of the cars or not leased as many, sold the summer home and their other toys and paid off more creditors (not to mention not buying them in the first place). We saw her go crazy at Christmas, knowing that she still owed millions so it is hard to feel sympathy for them.
Based on all I have seen and read it is the T supporters that are left standing and many are blame shifting including stating that the Gov’t shouldn’t go after them at all, others ratted them out because of jealousy, etc. but I don’t believe that is the case and this is something that has been going on since T came into the public eye knowingly flaunting ill gotten gains and continued long after and although her fans are still behind her most people who are not RH fans, and even many that are, are appalled.

Let the court decide what crimes were committed and punishment. Many hate Tre. We get it.

      • nyc mama says:

Indeed, I think that most agree with that sentiment, at least I haven’t seen many disagree.. Blogs like this are for people to give their opinions, no matter what they are, not deciding the fate of anyone.

    • melthehound says:

Sorry but, I cannot get on board with anyone who is finding joy in this. I’ll talk shit about the ‘celebs’ and their part in that but I don’t want to fight with anyone here about it. I don’t see anyone shifting any blame here, we all agree that if they did the crime, they should do the time. People are discussing what these ‘celebs’ are saying.

      • nyc mama says:

I find no joy in seeing anyone or their family in trouble. My heart goes out to the children and them having to face possibly loosing their mother and father to either jail or in this case, Joe possibly being sent to Italy and it seems most people feel the same way. Like everything else there is always blame shifting on the net just as there always is on a wide variety of topics, as well as joy from a few, not necessarily here.

    • Rebecca says:

You can be appalled but many of us here are in the mindset that Juicy and Teresa will take their punishment – but so will those four daughters. Audriana is still a tot.

      • nyc mama says:

Please do not misrepesent what I said. I never stated “I” was appalled. My comment reads “although her fans are still behind her most people who are not RH fans, and even many that are, are appalled.”. This is based on my perception of what I am reading across the internet and seeing in the media. I already stated I find this whole situation “sad” NOT appalling.

        • Rebecca says:

Ok, replace my first “You” with “Anyone” because it was kind of a general statement. My bad for the misinterpretation.

It’s sad that the choices people make just don’t affect them. It affects the ones that love them and care about them. Their parents and children will suffer because of them.

I think it’s sad that their greed and selfishness will hurt the ones that love them.

  12. lizzle says:

Jezzibel.. if you are around… I looked at the website and it is hilarious! I loved the story about how the royal family needs to act more like the Game of Thrones…LOL.. I will keep reading more. I would love to see a Drunk History about a Game of Thrones style historical story… told in England by an English bloke.

    • turtletime! says:

Drunk History is hilarious!! And I often learn something with some of the more obscure peripheral stories they tell.

      • lizzle says:

I’ve learned a lot! The stories are true, so it is only slightly inaccurate. I followed two comedians on twitter who were on last night’s show. The woman said that she is given a story to familiarize herself with and then they film her after she drinks. One of her stories actually won an award at Sundance. The other guy had a story about his own family… he said his family is very upset with him now. My favorite story is Lincoln as a lawyer. It’s the one where his case was moved out of his jurisdiction. I laughed so hard I cried… it was the funniest thing I have ever seen/heard in my entire life!

I really have no comment on any of the legal proceedings being brought against Joe and Tre – we here, and the public in general, do not know all of the facts, as in any legal case, and making a judgement call for or against without all the evidence is pointless – my heart is with the children, whether Joe and Tre end up facing time or not, their lives will be altered by all of this – I sincerely worry about ALL of the children of these reality shows, as that alone is enough of a battle to survive – I personally like Tre, but that does not mean that I beleive – or don’t believe – that she is innocent of anything – I comment on what I see – and what I see is a woman who while not very educated, is devoted to her children and her husband – I see a woman who may not be able to express herself very well, but is very clear about what she likes and what she does not like – it is very evident when Tre is angry, when she is happy and when she is hurt – you are not in doubt about that at all – I will follow the case, and make up my own mind about it as it unfolds – I truly dislike the media thinking that they have to explain to me how I should be thinking and especially the notion that their viewpoint is the correct viewpoint, so the facts are what I will be following, not the empty talking heads that sometimes are more agenda and ratings driven than truth and impartiality driven – and I would not wish this on my worst enemy – ever –

  17. kokuanani says:

I don’t really give a damn about the Giudices. I don’t watch RHNJ.

However, I hope folks find this article, about the Justice Department choosing to prosecute them, while ignoring the far greater number of far bigger “frauds” by banks, interesting.

    http://www.newrepublic.com/article/114080/obama-sues-teresa-guidice-real-housewives-mortgage-fraud#
[subtitle: “Eric Holder thinks ‘Real Housewives’ Commit Mortgage Fraud, but Not Bank CEOs.”

    THIS is worthy of outrage.

    • kokuanani says:

A money quote from the article:

“The focus on small fry in financial fraud enforcement serves two purposes. First, it gives the Justice Department a talking point, however cockeyed, to prove their worthiness in prosecuting financial malfeasance. They can claim that “mortgage fraud is a top priority of this Administration.” More important, this sends a subtle yet chilling message, that the federal government will throw its weight at anyone who dares to defraud a bank, rather than securing justice against banks that defraud customers.”

See the whole article, which compares the magnitude of the “frauds:” those of the banisters are something like 20,000 times that of the Giudices.

Not saying that they should get away with this, but again, why are the banks, whose cheating and fraud-mongering is far greater and had a more far-reaching effect, ignored?

    • Donna says:

Thank you for the link, this has been my thoughts all along. The repealing of the Glass/Stegel Act started this casino. Lenders did help clients forge papers.

    • VV says:

I’ve been complaining about the same thing since all of this started. I still think this was a personal vendetta against the Giudices. Interesting article about who the FEDs go after. They sure have their priorities straight ( insert sarcasm )

      • Powell says:

Of course. It’s a vendetta cause Tre & Joe insisted on staying on NJ & they show Tre’s businesss so the Feds are going after them as an example.

    • Powell says:

Kokunanai I said as much yesterday to Boston. Joe & Tre. Were wrong and should pay for doing wrong just as other individuals that commit financial fraud & don’t pay taxes. But how did the banks approve those loans? Many banks did no doc mortgages. Mortgages where they collected very little documentation from clients & also some mortgage brokers falsified income on their own, w/o client knowledge to get mortgages approved. This contributed to the mortgage crisis. The banks should be held accountable. They received TARP money & still paid out bonuses. How do you do that? I don’t know if the Fed Govt is definitely not going after the banks but there are plenty of stockholder class action lawsuits going on.

Anyone here watching the Princesses of Long Island (that will admit it)? It’s freaking me out how much Joey reminds me of a young Bethenny, (tho I know bethenny was ‘raised by wolves’ in Manhatten and elsewhere). And Ashlee reminds me of Jill Zarin, pre-Bawby.

    • lori says:

Hanging my head in shame..yes I watch them. There is not a single one of them I find likeable. Well, maybe Chanel. Yet I keep watching.

      • lori says:

I wanted to add I think Joey is desperate to appear like Bethenny. I wonder how much that’s her true personality and how much is for show.

    • melthehound says:

Poor Bawby and poor whoever gets mixed up with that Ashlee.. A lifetime of not only Ashlee but of the inlaws from hell.

    • lizzle says:

I’ve watched it once and enjoyed it. I have no favorites yet, so it is more enjoyable for me. In the episode, Joey annoyed me… but I don’t know enough about it to size these peeps up. I would continue to watch though. I always like looking into a world that is so different from mine.

      • melthehound says:

As Lori stated, Joey is a bit of a bethenny 1.9.. Last episode I saw her on she was whining because her father wants a timeline when she is going to get her product launched, and get the hell out of the house (that she moved back into to not pay rent and dedicate herself to her product, over 2 years ago – we’re talking a chapstick lipgloss combo package here – good idea for the lady on the go who likes to travel lite I guess but it doesn’t seem like rocket science to me).

        • Orson says:

Yes, I watch it. I think Joey is the one I find least offensive. I don’t know her name but the short brunette annoys me the most.

          • Powell says:

Orson I don’t know all their names either. B the short one do you mean the one that had the big BD party & her father gave her a huge diamond ring? She’s so damn spoiled. And she calls her parents to help her w/any & everything. The one a really don’t like is the one who gets drunk all the time. The last epi she & her BF talked to her parents about her moving in w/him. I was soooo surprised her father said yes. I thought her parents were the “not til marriage” type of parents.

            • Orson says:

Probably. The short brunette is the one whose daddy took her to get a manicure and couldn’t walk without high heels so she (and daddy) insisted the manager carry her piggy back to their car. I think about every episode she calls her parents in tears crying about how one of the girls was mean to her.
I’m not sure which one is the one that’s drunk all the time. Do you mean medium tall brunette? I figure her parents figure once she moves in with BF, she’s BFs problem. I think Not Until Marriage runs out in that sub-culture when she hits 26 years old and unmarried. Then anything that gets her out of the house and wallet is good.

              • Powell says:

Yes the medium tall brunette. LOL. I can’t remember all those girl’s names. 😉

                • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

Powell let me help with the names
Medium tall brunette who drinks A LOT- Erica
Shorty who can’t walk in flats-Ashlee
Bethany wannabe with the chap stick-Joey
Blonde tall single girl-Chanel (her sis just got married-she didn’t and it makes her cry)
                  Blonde with gayish boyfriend-Amanda
Blonde who still cries about high school boyfriend who cheated on her-Casey

                  • nyc mama says:

HA! I couldn’t get past the first 15 minutes of the first one but subsequently have seen bits and pieces here and there…usually Ashlee crying to Mommy and Daddy. Boy are they a not very hot mess!! All of them. But from what little I have seen, Ashlee seems to be winning the gold. I hope it doesn’t come back and somebody at Bravo finds something watchable to air. Oh how I long for the good old days.

But as someposters wrote yesterday, I too like Property Envy, and enjoyed the Jeff Lewis show the last two weeks, otherwise meh! Hoping that MDLLA will be ok.

        • Powell says:

But MTH her father gets on my nerves. She is correct that it takes a hell of a lot of time & money to get a product in the marketplace. I like her idea. I can see it being sold in some stores. So her father needs to either support her & shut up or not support her & tell her to move out because he talks to her like boom she should be making money off her product. To me he’s not supportive..

          • melthehound says:

I agree Powell. I’m talking about their boat ride where he had a captive audience. I think, from the 56 seconds I know of it, that if he agreed to let her move back in, rent free, AND she is working on what she’s trying to accomplish, then leave he girl alone and let her get to it. If she’s still there when she’s 45 though (you know what I mean), then time to introduce the foot to the behind.

Orson, the annoying short one is Ashlee.

        • turtletime! says:

Joey to me is the least offensive of the bunch. Probably because she’s from the wrong side of the tracks, which apparently is enough for the little twerp ashlee to decide she’s a “bad person.” You know, she probably even mixes her cheeses like poor people do.

    • Powell says:

Turtletime I’m w/you & Lori. Head held high. “Yes I watch LIP. Right along w/most of Bravo’s other crazy reality tv shows”. 🙂

They are apparently lobbying HARD to get a 2nd season (see any of their twitter accounts)

Many other bloggers have called out Joey for looking like and acting like, a younger Bethenny (less abrasive IMO)

Interestingly Beth had her sweet 16 in the town Joey grew up in (on the water), and B grew up a couple of towns over from Joey. Such a sad childhood that Bethenny! (Barf)

      That’s good. I can’t stop laughing!!

    • Orson says:

The only way she should show up for the reunion is if she makes it QUITE CLEAR that she will NOT discuss any legal issues. Other than the Gorga vs Guidice crap, that might still be resolved when the reunion taping comes along, what else have they got? Jackie is pretty much phoning it in this season. Caroline’s only been a messenger and has tried to stay out of the drama. Her children have been pretty much off camera too. I can’t see the Manzo elder’s conversations getting much traction either. The Reunion could be pretty much of a snore.

  30. justanothermary says:

I don’t know if this has been discussed recently but it certainly was when it aired. My memory is not what it once was but IIRC Tre said something along the lines of – see, we got in trouble because we told the truth. You have to lie to stay out of trouble. I think this was about the meeting with the lawyer when Juicy sorta admitted forging his partner’s signature saying “everybody does it.”

I remember it giving me a little chill at the time and it seems to have come full circle now. I really don’t believe that Tre realizes how much trouble they are in. Between her ability to complete immerse herself in denial and Juicy giving her the “don’t worry about it” treatment, I believe she is still in the dark about a lot of this.

    • Orson says:

Yes, I remember her saying that too. It’s a good example of what I think of as “situational ethics”, which boils down to “it’s not wrong if you can get away with it.”

I could say the same thing too. “I spoke the truth and that got me in trouble” Bravo got exactly what they wanted out that TH. her words I know, but what context.

            • Orson says:

It was after a hearing or deposition, probably about their failed attempt at a Chapter 7 BK, where T & J were under oath. I guess “dismissed with prejudice” was not their preferred outcome. T was wondering aloud about the wisdom of being advised to tell the truth instead of committing perjury. Or committing more perjury.

              • VV says:

Yes, I know the scene but Teresa didn’t leave her attorney’s office and filmed that TH right away. TH are shots weeks later in between filming and at the end of filming. That’s how Bravo ties the story they want to tell. Producers asks the questions on THs, is not like the cast seats there and says what they want. It’s all skillfully premeditated to serve the story line Bravo wants to tell.

                • nyc mama says:

Joe’s foolish comment was made in the lawyers office, not a talking head. The Feds will view all the tapes in their unedited versions and make a determination if it suits them to use it or not. They can even use footage that never aired but may incriminate them. But IMO it was a foolish decision on their part to allow Bravo to film them at all meeting with their lawyer. especially under those circumstances. That could have and should have been confidential. They had the option not to allow it to happen.

        • Laineylainey says:

Kinda removes the gild from the lily, don’t it?

    • nyc mama says:

They actually used those two scenes last night on a show covering the story and a lawyer addressed the fact that he didn’t understand why they (stupidly) allowed that to be filmed and it can kick them in the butt. It may have been edited out of context but the Feds will get the unedited tape and can make a determination and use it against them if it shows their character, or lack thereof, and backs up their case.

      • justanothermary says:

        Wow. I didn’t see that.

      • Vegas Chick says:

The Feds will subpoena whatever film that they want and Bravo will give it up…. end of story.

        • Rebecca says:

OK so, if the Feds ask for certain tapes of unaired footage, we’ll know Melissa and her girlfriend producer Cat were in on case, right? A current Bravo employee would be instructed to STFU.

          • Vegas Chick says:

The feds can subpoena all tapes period. This is a DOJ case so I highly doubt if Melissa and a Bravo producer are responsible for anything… JMHO.

          • nyc mama says:

We will only know what they choose to make public and only pertaining to the charges against Teresa and Joe. If there is footage of Melissa and Cat and it has to do with the case then perhaps, otherwise it is doubtful.

  31. T-Rex says:

My two cents. I know folks think that I am picking on Teresa over this situation, I can assure you it has nothing to do with them personally, if this we MEGO, WackJack or MafiaManzo I would be posting the same thing. I work with bankruptcies in my daily work so I can kind of dissect some of the information, I don’t work in the legal industry, but in another industry that helps me understand what banks do. I have noted that folks that say don’t get on the Juicy’s over this have brought up the wackijack bankruptcy, which by the way is completely different, I don’t want to get into logistics, but their bankruptcy is different. I would love to post about the bankruptcy on the company wackjacks family ran, but I have looked at the documents and well, so far they are scumbags, however so far. they didn’t break any rules yet. Chapter 7 is what we call the “scumbag” bankruptcy, you lived a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget and siphoned most of the profits out of a company. Now here is the difference folks The lauritas filed for COMPANY bankruptcy, not personal, this is a HUGE difference, you can file on your business and if you never signed a Personal Guaranty on any creditors they can sue you out the WAZOO but can’t touch you personally regarding a business. The Juicy’s filed PERSONAL bankruptcy that is one of the hardest bankruptcy’s to file, you have to really have your ducks in a row and make sure everything is accounted for.

    • melthehound says:

Supposedly the Lurkitas drained the cash from their company for personal use before filing. Pretty shady if you ask me.

      • Powell says:

That’s what I was going to say.

      • T-Rex says:

MTH yes, they are complete scumbags but again it’s a different set of rules for business bankruptcy. I am not saying they won’t face issues down the line, but if they were smart and devious, which they were looking at the paperwork, they will only face issues regarding the business. Filing BUSINESS bankruptcy is not the same as PERSONAL bankruptcy The BK court is completely different. Believe it or not what Juicy’s did was so stupid they should have fired their attorneys long ago, allegedly and in my opinion! I would like to remind folks that all Bankruptcy filings are online and available as a matter of public record. I

I don’t think you are Picking on T. Just because you know this stuff and share your knowledge doesn’t mean your picking on her. So what if you don’t like T. There nothing wrong with that either or neither.

I care about these HW as much as they care about me. Some I enjoy watching some and some I don’t.

      • Vegas Chick says:

Excellent point about caring about them as much as they care about you.. Teresa Guidice would walk past you laying bleeding in the street and probably utter something like… “Ew… disgusting. Get me out of here, Joe.” Guidice’s only care about how you can line there pockets. Tanti baci means keep buying whatever I am selling.

    • Rebecca says:

The Laurita’s WERE cited for fraudulant statements, hiding information, detroying evidence, etc. Jacqueline was then included in an $8 million personal lawsuit. Then she was cited for not paying taxes – owing more than Juicy. Yes, these people need to be worried.

      • T-Rex says:

Rebecca there is a HUGE difference in Company bankruptcy and individual Bankruptcy. The tax issue the Lauritas face is completely separate from the business bankruptcy, I know it seems like it should be the same but it’s not. Just note the Lauritas company has nothing to do with their personal assets. It sucks it should, but it doesn’t. Note had the Juicys created a corporation for their enterprises, apartments, homes, etc. and filed bankruptcy then, they would have done so with less problems.

        • Contessa says:

Hide behind a corporation – the american corporate way.

        • Rebecca says:

But they are accused of bilking their investors to drain company funds to fund their personal assets. Once they get through the bk courts, the investors are going after them.

        • austin1963 says:

So basically the Lauritas just did it a lot smarter. I realize that legally these are two different animals, but for all intents and purposes, I don’t find them that different from an ethical standpoint.

    • nyc mama says:

      T-Rex. I agree.

I don’t have a side in this either except what is right and true and curiosity about human nature and what makes people do somethings they do..

I stated before that I stopped watching entirely but the beginning of the end for me started several years ago when the bankruptcy broke and was played out on blogs etc.and T was continuing to spend as if nothing was happening. I also remember when I was reading Lynn’s blog there was an active poster who inserted herself into the case, contacted the Trustee, and I found that disturbing.. Some know who I am referring to. That did it for me and I stopped reading there for a long while because of that. IMO it is no one elses business to actively participate in the takedown of a reality star or anyone and it never made sense to me why anyone would so I had stopped reading only to watch the show less and less until this year when I stopped entirely.

Something that has bothered me for a while and didn’t sit right was Teresa’s claim she voluntarily “withdrew” her bankruptcy. She has repeated that many times, on her blog in season 4, at the reunion, in the press (Eonline and other media), stating it was her “decision” to withdraw the petition with the intention of making amends and paying back her creditors yet it didn’t make sense to me how she was able to pay people off while still maintaining her lifestyle based on her income but I didn’t know and didn’[t care to find out until this story broke.

The truth is she didn’t withdraw her petition, she was denied or more specificially it was“ waived” because they were consistently found to be lying and that is what the Trustee recommended.

I found this website which gives a good overview on what happened, who claimed what, and how this came to fruition leading us to what we have seen in the last few days. It also links to the court waiver and it also shows that Teresa was not the ignorant wife who blindly signed papers that Joe put in front of her but “knowingly and” fraudulently” made false statements under oath, many times through 2011.

It was the Trustee that filed the original lawsuit several years ago that seems to have oput the wheels in motion in reaction to the Giudice’s own actions..

      From the site:
“Previously I covered the filing of a chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009 for Real Housewives of New Jersey start Teresa Giudice. It’s been quite a while so I thought I’d drop back in to see what’s been going on in the case.

Looks like the court, in a somewhat rare move, has agreed to waive Teresa from relief of her debts under bankruptcy. – Source

According to information, Teresa neglected to tell the court when she filed some critical information that later came back to bite her. For those familiar with the show, I feel the need to throw over a table right about now.

Documents state when Teresa and her husband filed for their chapter 7 bankruptcy they omitted information about their bank accounts, vehicles, and interest in intellectual property. After a request from the court in late 2009, they amended their original bankruptcy filing to include undisclosed properties, checking account, three businesses, three vehicles and a boat. They also then added a leased 2005 Maserati Quattroporte.

In March, 2010 they filed yet another amended set of documents. This time they listed $89,254.81 which attributable to consumer credit cards and store credit at Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom.

On April 23, 2010 Teresa was questioned regarding her bankruptcy filing. More information emerged.

Teresa testified that she has a bank account with Lakeland Bank, and she is the only person with signature authority on that account, that she owned a previously undisclosed business by the name of TG Fabulicious, LLC, of which she is the sole member, and she had a previously undisclosed deal with Hyperion, an imprint of Buena Vista Books, Inc., to publish a previously undisclosed cookbook titled “Skinny Italian.”…
      …..
…The bankruptcy trustee filed a lawsuit against Teresa and her husband claiming that they had knowingly and fraudulently made false statements under oath. Additionally, that their original bankruptcy filing was not even close to being a full disclosure.
For example, Teresa’s “Skinny Italian” book deal with Hyperion was dated October 22, 2009, approximately one week prior to the bankruptcy petition date, and was signed by Teresa on November 18, 2009, but the $250,000 advance owed slipped her mind….

And in the end, Teresa’s bankruptcy discharge was denied, withdrawn or waived. She fair game for her creditors again. “

nyc mama_ I remember perfectly the time you mentioned and who took personal interest in contacting the Trustee in Teresa’s Bankruptcy , reason for which I just came early in the morning to read Lynn’s Blog, not the comments at all… I was as well disgusted. I just came to leave my Thanks for the Blog and Good day to everyone. Thank you for this interesting post. I like Teresa and I feel sorry for her daughters, she is a good mother but she DID NOT think in them when she and Juicy were too ignorant or too arrogant to think they were above the law and could walk away from the 39 counts that allegedly they commit. The pain they are on now is self inflicted and this affects to the Four elderly parents and 4 daughters. God Bless them.

        • nyc mama says:

Cusi I agree. I feel empathy for them and their families, especially their girls but they did this to themselves and although I think that Joe is probably more culpable in the earlier years, clearly she was not innocent in the later years.

Sometimes smart people do stupid things and make stupid decisions, We see it all the time with celebrities and regular folk, especially when they are chasing fame and fortune, some loose sight of reality and priorities.

The same site updated their story yesterday to include the lastest information and they lay it out well. Deals will be made and charges dropped so who knows how this will end. In any case, sadly the Giudices made some foolish choices and are paying for them dearly.

Even after they were busted in the first wave they just kept going-piling up more deceit and breaking more laws. And, Tre and Juicy didn’t give a damn about their kids when they were Bonnie and Clyding their way through every bank in Jersey. Berkeley College is a commuter school that is just
          now getting “some” respect-
When Tre went, years ago, it was basically a “trade”
school that offered an education in a trade, maybe
an “associates” degree, but absolutely nothing more-
It was a school you went to if you had a GED and never
          took an S.A.T.

In the end Bravo will at the very least have to come clean on how the manipulate story lines and THs-it is a fate worse than death for a network that makes its money on “reality TV”….so sorry Bravo but the jig is not only up for Teresa and Joe but for you guys as well.

Bet the NBC suits have alreaqdy been hard at work over the last several days coming up with a legal plan. It all depends on what they find and how/if it is used. We may not learn anything, by learn I mean more than what we already know, but this has certainly put a damper on the reality genre and the HW franchises. Started with Russell’s suicide and now this. Things are going to change…but how is the question? It also will depend on the contracts and what they (cast members) can do after the show if it is cancelled.. They may be limited for a year or two before they can move on to something else on TV.

      • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

While I know this is all bigger than Bravo-my point is that the little HW network is in for a bit of a rude awakening-when they started with the NJ women I doubt they ever thought they would find themselves being in the midst of any sort of court case. When the FEDS say “gives us the tapes” they ain’t gonna be playing any games-this isn’t an episode of a show-this is the real deal! Andy won’t be the judge sitting on the bench with little blue cards asking stupid viewer questions! They have to literally OPEN THE VAULT and show their ass-and let the chips fall where may. In the grand scheme of what’s happening this means nothing-it’s just a small observation on my part.

        • Nancy says:

Don’t forget about the White House crashers.

        • nyc mama says:

Agree but I don’t think that NBC/Bravo is all that surprised. They must have known that the Trustee filed a suit against the Giudices long ago. They certainly knew, unlike us that she didn’t choose to dismiss the bankruptcy to make good, but it was forced on her. They knew that opened her up to civil suits where their film could be used. They may not have known all the counts or charges ahead of time or that this goes back to 2001, but they knew something was coming down the pike. They have top lawyers there with long arms.

Unlike us, they knew the reality on the ground with T and J as well as what they were filming and knew there was potential for it to be shown in court someday. For all we know the Production company may take the fall for this. They have more risk in this than Bravo since they are repsonsible for content even if Andy is EP, it could be in name only. He certainly isn’t on site when they film. Ir all comes down to the contracts and agreements.

Teresa has been volatile from the start, from flipping tables to running after Danielle through catering halls, and then there was Joe and his antics, the DUI, the deceptive drivers license, etc. They were both unpredictable and everyone knew there was the possibility that one day they may find themselves involved in a court case. Then when they brought in the Gorga’s it made it even more possible. They also know everyone knows that this is not reality reality.

We may never get to see the film or know what the feds use or don’t use. It depends on what is negotiated between all the parties. This gets very complicated when it comes to the law and the legal suits in TV, especially corporations as large as NBC know the ropes and if they aren’t already part of the team they have the resources to hire those that do.

As I stated above this may change the genre or not. We have seen deaths and other probems with reality stars on other shows and networks and not much came out and other times some things that things did. It all depends. We can only wait and see. The only one’s right now who are in serioius trouble are T and J. Everyone else is on the sidelines, waiting and planning ahead for the various possiblities.

        • T-Rex says:

JNNTJ, from what I have read, I believe the FEDS already have the tapes. This case is never going to see a courtroom, so those tapes may be “referred” to but I highly doubt there is going to be any real revelations. This case isn’t going to court, I happen to have a friend that worked at the DOJ(department of justice) and she said cases like this one don’t make it to court. I asked her if the Feds would be sending a subpoena for the Bravo tapes, she asked how long since the trustee reported the misdeeds, I said about 3 and half years ago, and she said “they already have them” then. This was only an opinion, but she said no way they didn’t have them. In addition, one of Teresa’s attorneys said that something about “tapes”, have to find the article.

Bravo is considering canceling RHNJ according to this article.

    • Vegas Chick says:

She’s deferring to Joe? Wow! Denial with a big D or stoopid with a big S. Take your pick. #sad

      • Orson says:

They each have their own attorney. I don’t know if her attorney is an entertainment law specialist or a criminal defender. What she should do is defer to her legal counsel. Unless Joe is willing to dive on the grenade for as much as he can for her.

        • T-Rex says:

According to the what I read on the Department of Justice website, in any Federal case, where two parties are involved each party “must” maintain their own individual attorney, married or not, it’s required by the courts.

    • lillybee says:

  41. Vegas Chick says:

I honestly don’t get some of the comments that I am reading and understand that there is a room full of Teresa fans on this blog. Not trying to be condenscending, I love you all and value your input. I actually have a huge heart but I also call it like I see it. This is serious stuff, folks. There are 39 counts of indictment by the federal government aka Dept of Justice. If the percentage of success quoted is even remotely correct, that means that the DOJ will be able to prosecute the Guidice’s on. give or take, 35 counts. Let’s just assume that the get 1 year per count. Teresa will be in her ’70’s when she walks out of jail. They don’t care about her kids, her parents or Bravo (who, BTW, looks to be bailing out as we chat). We are not talking about the OJ Simpson trial or anything that is tried in local, superior courts. NJ court system is out of the picture… it’s the Feds and they mean business.

Like I said last night, I feel really horrible for their children, especially Gia because she is old enough to somewhat understand but, more importantly, will be the brunt of criticism and public abuse. Worse yet, she may live her life without the benefit of one of possibly both parents.

Teresa and Joe are done… fried… toasted… finished. Life is over as they knew it and I am sure that neither are sleeping well, if at all. If Teresa survives, she is going to need her family and that includes her brother. The house now belongs to the IRS. It’s not official, but mark my words. The IRS will attach and she will not be able to do a thing about it.

Horrible end to a family. Maybe, Bravo has learned that exposing the details of people’s lives has consequences. First, a suicide. Now, a family completely destroyed. I hate it and really need to examine if I am ever going to tune in again. God bless you all! xoxoxo

    • Nancy says:

I talked to my bff today who is an attorney at the Dept of Justice (and her husband is an

      • VV says:

I have read so many different outcomes. They go from extreme to extreme. I’d like to think positive and hope for the best possible outcome. They are facing an incredibly uphill battle.
The truth is nobody knows. It’s in the court’s hand. We can speculate all we want but in the end, the courts will decide.
        Prayer are much needed.

        • Nancy says:

          I’ll agree with that.

        • Vegas Chick says:

Honestly, this is one of the things that I do not understand. I believe and I pray, but why should I pray for Teresa and Joe? I really don’t get it. They have done some bad things, and there are 39 counts of endictment that echo the things that they have done. Should I pray for mercy or shoud I pray for justice?

          • NJBev says:

            let’s just hope for both-
            Vegas,
let’s pray for mercy and justice—

          • kit9 says:

Vegas, nothing they’ve done warrants mercy imo. We’re talking about nearly a decade of brazenly flouting the law. This wasn’t a one time mistake. It was years and years of lying and stealing, entitlement, materialism and waste. They probably pis*ed away on tacky chandeliers and furniture the equivalent of an average family’s yearly income. All with other people’s money. It would be maybe one thing if they’d, after the initial bubble burst a few years ago, changed. But, they didn’t. They continued to lie and cheat. They learned nothing.

          • chismosa says:

Vegas thanks for expressing all that —

If it was the “devil” or the “snake” or the “fly” that this happened too, there’d be more attacks I feel. But that’s jmho!

        • T-Rex says:

VV, this case will probably never see a courtroom. I also have a friend that worked with the DOJ and said this one will plead out, no way the Juicy’s have enough money to even afford to take this to court. My friend said that they are both going to jail, her opinion, as if it were her case she wouldn’t plead it out unless they both went. JuicyJoe will probably serve 7 to 10 and Teresa probably no more than a year, but she figured with good behaviour rules she would be out in 6 months, again just an opinion. What is going to really kill them are the ginormous fines that are going to placed on them. She also said that it is not that common for the IRS and DOJ to “team up” on a case, that this means that they have way more ammunition against these folks than what was presented in the indictment.

    • Putchka says:

Hey Vegas! Right on the nose. This is serious. I don’t think they’re smart enough to know.

    • Laineylainey says:

Hi Vegas, I’m curious about what it is you “don’t get about some of the comments here.” Not trying to be combative with you…but I don’t get what there is not to get. People are merely expressing their opinions, feelings, etc. Do you think that folks are being too hopeful or positive? Do you sense a bit of denial? Or in contrast, do you think folks are being overly harsh. Is that what you mean? I don’t sense either…I feel like some folks can recognize their wrongdoing and are aware of the horrible potential (and likely) consequences.. The poll reflects that. I think even the, as you called it…”room full of Tre supporters on this blog” can acknowledge their wrongdoing and still not hate them (the Guidice’s). Should that “roomful” be doing something other than what they (we) are doing? If yes, what exactly should the “roomful” be doing? Whoops that sounds combative. Sorry, not sure how else to ask my questions; but I am truly interested to hear what it is that you don’t get. Teach me your ways, so we can “get” each other. 👭👯👭👬👫

      • djprincessc says:

        I ❤ you Lainey!!! LOL.

      • VV says:

I’m the one in the middle with the pink dress 😀
I’m sure we got a lot of visitors that are Tre haters; there were 369 people voting. I didn’t vote at all. We know the traffic here.

      • Vegas Chick says:

Hi Lainey, Did I come off as combative? Didn’t mean to be. Just keeping it real and honest. It’s just that some come across like Joe and Teresa did nothing wrong or question why the Feds are singling out the Guidices or, worse yet, think it’s great that people are showing support for Teresa. Why in God’s great universe should I support her? She and her husband created this mess and did it at the expense of their children.

        • LaineyLainey says:

Dear Vegas Chick: No, no,no…you weren’t combative at all. You know what? I think that because I can be a bit on the “literal” side in my comprehension and communication, when you said “I don’t get some of the comments here”…I was thinking that you literally don’t understand what people are saying, when what I think you meant was…”I don’t agree with some of the comments here.” And that’s perfectly ok, and I completely understand that you don’t agree with some of the sentiment here. I think that believing in someone’s guilt and liking them as human beings, though hard to understand, it’s not always mutually exclusive.

I thought they were pretty awful,( the Guidice’s) Season 1. I am not a fan of conspicuous consumption and even though these shows are mired in it, I thought Tre took it to an ungodly and obnoxious level. I cringed at the very sight of her. When she flipped that table and took part in the bullying of Danielle, I was very turned off. When she became the darling of the show for having done those awful things (the very things we teach our children not to do), I wept for the future of our country. No, not really, no weeping,…but I found it very disheartening. BUT THEN When her bro, et. al., came on the show and she was the subject of a pounding and relentless bullying my heart softened for her. I think my perspective is not at all unique either.

So now we converted Tre supporters, have the indictment to consider…and it’s hard to picture the Teresa of today doing those things,…but the Teresa of back then (before Season 1) is the person who did those things. She has changed, but the woman of back then,…well, I can totally see her knowingly committing these acts of fraud. It’s not good. It’s not admirable. And yes, they both did it. They are the ones who will have broken their children’s hearts. Not the Tre haters, not the real or imagined rats out there, not Ms. Chacon, or Grannytel, the GUIDICE’s did this to themselves and their family. They have grown up a lot, but the consequences are still there. I acknowledge all of that and agree with most what you are saying, just can’t and don’t hate them and likely never will. Not saying that you do hate’em. I was reading some of Kit9’s comments about this whole dea…and well,…she presents a very strong case. I meant to tell her that, but I couldn’t post at that moment. YOu are super honest Vegas and I appreciate that. Ok, now I’m rambling…talk to you later!!!

I do not have a DOJ friend and I think they will come through this and be better on the other side. And btw… I went to church on Monday, so of course, I am an expert… usually people pray for God’s will to be done… so you don’t have to worry yourself with the specifics anymore… on this case, anyways.

Perspective: It’s easy to forget that we all have the right to have one.

I am a late arrival, just read all the posts and I am impressed with all the opinions shared in a respectable manner. I’m sure there are those that are holding their opinions and not participating…maybe I’m off, but it didn’t seem the poll results mirrored the comments for the last couple days. Anyway, cheers to all posters for keeping it civil because it’s a challenge with a controversial personality in a hot mess. So many ways for it to be interpreted, judged and ‘sentenced ‘ figuratively speaking, of course!

    • Laineylainey says:

Hi TT – you are correct, the mutual respect displayed here is good.

    • Realhousewifeva says:

I think people like Teresa on the show, so they feel bad for her and maybe are cutting her some slack verbally- yet they still feel that her and joe must pay the price for their crimes. Honestly, if such young children weren’t involved, it might be easier to scream “lock em up and throw away the key’ but I see pics of little Audriana and it makes me very sad :(. If joe and Teresa even get just 5-10 years in prison, they will miss some of the most vital years of their daughters lives.

I remember when I was very, very young-

They were saying that it was amazing that they could
put a man on the moon- but couldn’t cure cancer-
BUT… since they did put a man on the Moon so
many years ago (I dunno, maybe 6-7) they
must be coming up with a cure soon-
That cure HAD to be here soon-
    ………….so sad……………….

  46. Orson says:

I’m having trouble thinking of any outcome that doesn’t end with Joe ending up deported, whether he spends any time in Hotel Greybar or not. I imagine Joe’s siblings have been doing a LOT of rapid reviewing of their own US citizenship/residency status. I really don’t see Teresa getting more jail time than Joe. I don’t think that $750,000 a year salary from Bravo will continue either. So, she’ll have to support herself and her children as a former bravolebrity. And that hasn’t seemed to work out very well for most other former bravolebrities.

I feel sorry for her girls. Teresa’s parents are too old and ill to raise them if she “goes away”. Joey and Melissa might be willing to take them. The younger kids would be happy but I don’t think Gia would go for it and it’d be a shame to break the siblings up. So I guess the Guidices will be caring for them.

And I don’t think any one can really blame any cast members or “friends of the HWs” for this. Maybe it’s just hubris?

    • Amalfi says:

The girls have a whole other set of aunts and uncles. I am sure they will not be forced to depend on the kindness of Joey and Melissa.

      • Mrs Peabody says:

Those girls will never go with JOey and Melissa after the way he has been toward his sister, Joe G wouldn’t allow it. They will with their other family, their real family, not the Marco sister and his wife.

    • Realhousewifeva says:

Joey and Melissa wouldn’t even be on the list of people to watch the girls. The Giudice’s are very close with the father side of the family, so it is almost guaranteed it would be a member of the Giudice family that would take on the girls, the grandparents, uncle or aunt… Not Joey. I grew up very close to my
Mothers side of the family and not very close at all to my fathers side. This is not uncommon. People pretend like the giudice/gorga family issues are so unique and they are not at all. Joey doesn’t care what happens to Teresa as long as he still has his Bravo gig. He has said he hates her and she is the devil, garbage and scum… Why would anyone even want him to watch the daughters of the sister he hates so much?

    • T-Rex says:

I can’t see JuicyJoe getting deported “unless” Teresa divorces him. His children are US citizens, his wife is a US citizen and I would think that any plea deal they make, again this is not going to see the light of a courtroom, would entail JuicyJoe being able to remain in the States. Lots of non US citizens that have served jail time, who are in the US legally, do not get deported if most of their immediate family are all US citizens, especially their children.

  47. Laineylainey says:

This must be killing Wendy!! She so has something to say about all of this!! Even when she had no ammo, she went after Tre. She would be making hay if her show were Airing..cause that’s what she does.

My heart goes out to Gia. She was already embarrassed about her parents (what 12/13 year old isn’t)? But this is too much…

Watching wwhl after show and Ryan made a comment about Sonja’s townhouse currently being on the market… Then Luis and Frederick got all giggly and secretive. Apparently Frederick just sold Sonja’s townhouse and Ryan had no idea, lol

    • Amalfi says:

Luis is a little snake. I don’t mind Fredrick — he is entertaining. But I LOVE Ryan.

      • Powell says:

Luis is a snake but I love his pompadore. He needs the height to compete in their biz so I guess the pompadore suits him.

        • Amalfi says:

His hair is good looking. He is so tiny. and cute like a Polly Pocket. But still a snake.

    • Powell says:

Woww. Fred loves pulling Ryan’s chain. I’m sooo surprised Sonja sold her TH. She was adamant that she wouldn’t sell but I guess she finally saw she had no choice. That’s sad her ex didn’t just payoff the mortgage and give it to her along w/money. I wonder where she’s moving to. I bet she did get a good price. It’s a very nice house. Whoever purchased it will more than likely make a lot of changes. I’ve said if I ever moved back to NYC I would want a TH or Brownstone like Alex,& Simon’s.

      • Amalfi says:

I feel like Fredrick has a mad crush on Ryan, I also feel he apologized to Luis because he didn’t want to be hated by both of them.

        • realhousewifeva says:

According to Frederick and Luis, they talk about 5 times a day and are very close

      • Rebecca says:

Sonja sold her Telluride house for what – $19,000,000? I don’t buy that she’s hurting for money.

        • Amalfi says:

I think Sonja would be so happy if she could accept she is divorced and not try to live her billion dollar life but instead be content with her measly million dollar life.

    • HuskerHuny says:

Who dresses these guys? Ryan was in blue, Luis in maroon and Freddie in pink. Felt like I was in a Rainbow Brite cartoon. As much as I don’t like Luis, he sure has an amazing smile and his eyes sparkle. But a snake is still a snake.

  51. T-Rex says:

I know folks posted links about this earlier, but again heard from another source that Bravo really is considering to “quietly” cancel RHNJ, someone also hinted that the Reunion may not even take place this year, I find that one hard to believe. Look you either like her, or dislike her(my camp) but Teresa “IS” that show, after they retooled it once Dina and Danielle left. I have not watched the show since season 2 but have read the blogs and read the comments here, and Teresa seems to be the reason folks watch the show. I don’t think even with a whole new cast they could get the kind of ratings that they did while Teresa is on the show.

    • BB says:

I hope Bravo cancels RHONJ. I don’t think they should recast it in NJ or start another franchise somewhere else. I think all the housewife shows should be “phased out.” It was fun when it started, but they have all become repetitive and stale (vow renewals, engagements, weddings, pseudo singing careers, lame business ventures, books, etc.)

      • Amalfi says:

        Yes totally agree.

When my trashy guilty pleasure that I hide from everyone but youse guys ends up on the national news and even my local news, then it is no longer fun. I wouldn’t wish this type of disaster even even on Jacqueline, Probably.

      • melthehound says:

I agree BB and I hope they begin by canceling this week’s episode.

        • lulu says:

          Lol!!!!!! Sorry mth!!!

          • melthehound says:

I can tell that around here anyway, there is no point in airing future episodes.

            • lulu says:

Mth was just thinking that. Really at this point their “issues” on the show are pointless. So pales in comparison to their current nightmare. I find it very telling how their castmates are completely silent on this matter. The lauritas better watch out they will be next. I wonder how much involvement joe gorga has.

        • BB says:

          Wishful thinking MTH!

        • VV says:

      • realhousewifeva says:

It is becoming very phony and they are all doing whatever they can to create storylines. It just feels like watching a scripted soap opera now

    • lulu says:

It will be canceled I don’t think bravo is thrilled with the feds going through their stuff. Tre and rhnj is a liability they will cut ties. I don’t think this is the last we will see of tre though. That is once she gets out.

  52. bellabaybeachgirl says:

For those who don’t think that Tre will do time, Can anyone say Martha Stewart and Lorena Helmsley? The feds don’t “F” around and high profile people do go to jail. For Tre to claim “I didn’t know what I was signing?” is ludicris, as she had to know they were applying for loans to pay for their lifestyle.
