When it Rains, it Pours ~ RHOM S. 3, Ep. 2 by Behindbleueyes
Now that we’re in to episode 2, I feel as though I can justifiably criticize the opening tag lines of the ladies. They are probably the worst I’ve ever heard. “Don’t hate me because I have it all, hate me because I’m beautiful” -I mean really? Is it going to get to the point where everything down the tag lines are scripted? Hmmm probably. On a positive note though, I’m impressed that the ladies are actually on point with their blogs. I woke up this morning and they were all there waiting for me. I secretly wish that their blogs will give me more entertainment than the actual episode did. Actually, that’s not a secret…I’m dead serious. Anywho, on to the episode….
I have to admit I’m loving Joanna and Romain’s relationship progression so far this season. It’s nice to see a guy try to make up for his wrong doings in more ways than one. I also can’t get over his adorable smile. That moment is killed shortly though, as Romain decides to bring up the dreaded Pre nup conversation. Joanna’s immediate reaction -he’s already planning a divorce. To be honest, that’s always been my reaction too. If you’re in it for the long haul, why is money the immediate concern or precaution. Then again when two successful people have worked hard for their money and to make a living it’s of course in their best interest to protect themselves, so I see both sides. It’s adorable to see Romain excited for the wedding. Although what he’s not excited about is any involvement coming from Mirta. At this point, Mirta who? We all know last year she had a lot of things to say when it came to her sister’s relationship and Romain’s possible cheating. Now, Mirta is off living with her race car driving boyfriend and I’m pretty sure isn’t worried about or has any intention of ruining her sister’s wedding. When you’re in a relationship, no longer single, and no longer living with/off your sister…priorities change. Don’t worry Romain, I don’t think she has any plans on taking you down before the walk down the aisle.
It’s hard to watch Marysol talk about Mama Elsa’s condition. It’s also still hard to hear about Frankie’s condition and accident from Alexia. Two very serious situations but it’s a good sign knowing that they’re both fighting to get better and better every day. Sidenote: Alexia’s running outfit was fabulous! Granted I would/could never look like that when running but everything looked perfect. The sunglasses made the outfit. We then get back into bed, and this time with Adriana and Fredrick (Fredrik? Frederic?). Talk about staged and scripted, this “fight” they have been in the middle of, for what they’re trying to play off for “days”, is ridiculous. We established Fredrick’s involvement in calling off the wedding last week, is it really a necessary “filler” for this week? I think not….I mean c’mon, we have Lisa and Daysy for that (yawn). Adriana is concerned about constantly having to be confronted by her so called friends about this entire debacle and is still upset with Fredrick for getting her into this mess. She’s also suspicious that it was Lea who leaked the story about the wedding licence to the press. At this point in the game, I don’t know who to believe. This is Bravo, and there are TWO weddings this season sooooo could be anyone at this point.
Alexia has her personal designer and his assistant over to help her re-design her closet. So much of her time had been with Frankie and his recovery that she’s finding time now that he’s better to do something nice for herself. In the meantime, Adriana is ready to get the ball rolling with her wedding planning and meets with her planner. All wedding planners or any party planner for that matter kisses the ground you walk on because you’re paying them the big bucks. Adriana wants a hot air balloon to deliver her to the altar…at the church. She just killed the whole traditional vibe she had initially headed the conversation with. He tells her anything is possible but luckily stops her when she wants to have it on an island. People aren’t going to want to swim to your ceremony Adriana, even if Bravo is paying them to attend. Thanks to the planner for trying to sound normal but of course you can plan this wedding in 6 weeks…I mean it’s been done before and again, it’s Bravo. It’ll be done. You can bet your bottom dollar.
Lisa and Lenny go visit their new home on Star Island. From the outside you wouldn’t think this house is a tear down, but then you get a glimpse inside. I would understand preservationists’ fight to keep the place intact but unfortunately there is no historical or ‘star’ quality to the home. You would think that the house was in perfect condition given that Lenny paid over $130,000 in attorney fees to get the preservationists off their back and of course the money paid for the foreclosure. The previous owners couldn’t afford to live there anymore and from the looks of it, became squatters in their own home. It was pretty disgusting -I’ll give Lisa that. Also, for such a huge home I’m surprised that kitchen looked like that. Luckily they finally were granted permission to tear it down and rebuild. If only they could airlift their current home and dump it in the spot…because it’s gorgeous. Then again, I guess I’ll never have that kind of money to understand why people spend so much on huge and lavish homes just to move out a couple of years later. Shame on me!
The ladies are divided as the wedding dress/shoe shopping commence. Adriana invites Marysol and Alexia to help her look for the perfect wedding dress as Joanna has Lea and Lisa by her side to pick out shoes. Both groups discuss the impending fight between Lea and Adriana and this whole actually being “married” situation. Adriana seems genuinely hurt by Lea although Lea seems to just want it to run off her back. Joanna brings up to her group the fact that Romain is wanting a pre nup. Shockingly, Lea admits that she never had one. At the time she was making just as much money as her husband and didn’t see why it was necessary. Again, I’m pretty shocked that she doesn’t have one as she considers herself Miami royalty. I did agree with her points though -what’s yours is yours, what’s his is his. Why does it have to be any more difficult than that?
Now, the sit down with Lea and Adriana. We’re only in episode two and I truly hope that after this episode we can stop talking about it. I’ve always believed that the more you have to stress your point, the more guilty you are. If you’re innocent or if it isn’t much of a big deal there’s no point in making a big deal of anything. Adriana stresses that she thinks it was Lea who ‘leaked’ that she was already married to the press since Adriana didn’t defend her against Ana last year. Lea stands by her story in that she’s always been there for her since day one -taking in a single mother and getting her on her feet. The back and forth between the two gets pretty exhausting and even turns to price dropping. Um over $300,000 Lea forked over in tuition to help Adriana’s son stay in school?!?! That’s wayyyy too much money I don’t care who you’re helping out. That’s something I don’t think that Adriana would ever take lightly either. Like I said earlier, this fight can go either way at this point but I hope it’s over before we have to figure it out.
Sidenote: I don’t know about anyone else but I’m pretty bored with the whole “Weddings by Bravo” thing. Is it seriously the only story line you can keep up with? If it’s not a wedding, it’s a baby or a divorce. We really need some new “material” if you will. I beg of you Bravo, I need something else to keep my attention because unless you’re going to personally invite me to these weddings, I’m losing interest.and fast.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to recap next week on time as I’ll be away in Cancun. I will, however be able to get it up before episode 4 airs 🙂 Hope everyone has a great couple of weeks and end to their summer!
Happy Birthday Nohausfrau
