I Dream of Nene Part Two plus Should we feel sorry for Melissa Gorga? by NMD

Jezebel has posted an insightful review of Melissa Gorga’s new book.  Most of us have read the first chapter – because it was available online free of charge.  The reviewer for Jezebel read the entire thing, and the summary was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read.  You can read the review here. Either Melissa is the most manipulative sneak we’ve ever come across, or Joe has such control over her she thinks he’s normal.  Here’s some insight into his violent streak:

“If he gets one ounce of flack from me, he flips a switch and goes off. I know it’s not really about me, so I don’t get riled up. I supposed I could get angry back him for getting the bulk end of his problems. But then again, that’s what a spouse is for. You get to release your stress on someone you trust, who you know won’t hold it against you. He’ like to yell at a colleague, client, or employee. But he yells at me and doesn’t screw up a business deal. I can take it.”

She uses sex to keep him moderately in line.

“In the beginning, Joe wanted to have sex every single day, at least once, if not twice or three times…If I didn’t give it to him once a day, he’d get upset. I can do something that pisses him off on a Monday, but if we had sex on Sunday night, it blows over more easily. But if we haven’t done it for two days and I give him attitude? It could be a huge fight.”

He seems to have her convinced that if she says “no” too much he’ll stray, and if he strays it’ll be her fault.

“The way I see it, if a wife is a puttana, her husband will never feel the urge to go outside the marriage to actual whores, or strip clubs. He won’t hit on women in bars, or drool over his friend’s girlfriends or the secretary. He’ll rush home to his wife, who makes sure he’ll have a good time (the best time) in the comfort of his own home.”

The entire article is full of disturbing quotes.  It’s hard to believe that Melissa would pen this and Joe would approve it – unless she wanted to expose her nightmare life and he really can’t read.  I now see why a publisher allowed it to go to press.  It’s a ticking time bomb.

On the other side of the universe is NeNe Leakes –

As I watched NeNe prepare for her marriage to Gregg, I couldn’t help thinking about how strong and independent she is. The show started off with NeNe in New York in Donald Trump’s boardroom.  She reminds us that she met the Donald when she was on Celebrity Apprentice.  They have some sort of fake conversation about getting married – he’s clearly just there for the camera time.  I struggled through this scene because the man disgusts me and I couldn’t care less what he has to say about anything, much less marriage.  For whatever reason NeNe, who is executive producer on her show, thought we’d be interested.

Gregg and Peter Thomas are driving somewhere, and having a man talk about all their kids.  Peter is a soft hearted ass.  He’s also dad to five kids outside of his marriage to Cynthia Bailey (who has a daughter).  He says that if he has to choose between his kids and his wife he chooses his kids – 10 out of 10 times.  Gregg says he’s never choose – he’d just manage the situation.  For Gregg that means keeping them separate.

NeNe is back in the ATL and she gently confronts Gregg about not talking to her since they met with the therapist. He says he needed time to “percolate”.  She explains that’s not good enough, he needs to communicate.  I’m wondering what NeNe would say about Melissa Gorga’s book and what advice she’d give her.  I’d love to hear it.

But back to NeNe and Gregg.  He says he’ll bring NeNe and the kids together – and she voices over that the meeting will be moderated by the therapist. NeNe has a scene with her youngest son Brent, who is getting all grown up.  Wowza.  He was home schooled last year when they were bi-coastal, but wants to go to regular school.  She explains that he can stay in ATL with Gregg then, but she has a job that requires her to work on the west coast.  He says that’s not good – she’s more fun than his dad.  It was cute because like I said – he looks all grown up but he’s still a kid inside.  I love that age!!  NeNe voices over that she’s a mom and takes that seriously, but she also has a career and takes that seriously as well.  Again I think about Melissa Gorga and the comparison.

Gregg also meets with his brother and sister.  He hasn’t seen them for five years.  They are happy to reconnect, and they all promise to keep in touch weekly from now on.  Apparently Gregg went MIA for the last five years (since he’s been on the show??) but wants to be a decent brother again.  They seem like great people and his brother tells him to work out all his issues before getting married again – to make sure the marriage is strong.

Disclaimer. I had a long work day yesterday and got home late after a night meeting.  I only had time to watch the show once, and missed some of it.  But of course I have no idea what I missed so I won’t be able to fill in the gaps.  I’m afraid you’ll have to bear with my excuses for a while longer – my schedule is crazy crazy.

NeNe is at lunch with three of her bridesmaids – Diana (she was the one who went to Miami to argue with Kim that year), Cynthia Bailey, and Marlo Hampton.  Diana and Marlo get into a huge fight – NeNe is just sitting there annoyed, and Cynthia has to take charge and tell them to knock it off.  At one point Cynthia says “this is about NeNe” and Marlo snaps back – “No, It’s about me.”  Oh my.  As expected, Marlo trash tweeted Diana all night.

Later NeNe and Diana are driving, and NeNe is trying to get Diana to back off.  It turns out Diana wants to be maid of honor and not in the masses of bridesmaids with Marlo.  NeNe says hell no – she’s not going to give anyone that honor. I’m afraid I missed the meeting with Gregg’s children.  NeNe tells us that two of the kids were older and out of the house when she married Gregg, but he had custody of three of them.  Then one day he didn’t and there was no explanation.  She also makes it clear that she didn’t break up the marriage.  The oldest son has been vocal about her (not positive) and the previews show him saying things in a loud voice.  I suspect all is better now. Not one mention of NeNe’s sisters.  That’s probably because she’s executive producer of the show and didn’t want it mentioned.

Throughout the time she was filming this, they were tweeting back and forth trash tweeting. Nene 1 NeNe pulled in 1.5 million viewers last week with this show.  That’s more than Kim’s spin off, more than Tamra over the last few weeks – although Tamra did well – in the 1.2 million viewer range – and far more than Kandi’s unsuccessful Kandi Factory.

I’m curious if this will really wrap up in three episodes or if I just assumed that because that was Tamra’s formula.  We’re no where near the wedding yet – still working on the marriage. Gregg must love NeNe to the ends of the earth to bare his personal business like this on national TV.  I’m not sure if it was necessary – she must have had enough drama with Marlo alone to keep us interested – but I am enjoying a deeper, more substantive housewives show. I definitely wish I could dream of NeNe, and wipe the Gorgas out of my brain, but I’m afraid Melissa’s situation has gotten under my skin.

Real Housewives of Miami – S3E07

“La La Land”

This week begins with Joanna, Lisa & Lea’s trip to Los Angeles for wedding planning.  Lea is all dressed up for the flight, while Joanna & Lisa are a little more low-key.  Holy cow – Lea’s ring is ridiculous!  I would be nervous wearing a diamond that size in public!  Mimosas are flowing on the flight, so I’m sure this will be an interesting trip.  There’s some fun footage of the ladies being silly on the plane.  Lea tells us that they spend the summer at their house in LA, but it’s more laid back because she doesn’t have to manage a staff or charity.  Her life in LA is “scaled down.”  I think Lea’s definition of “scaled down” is a little different than mine.  Joanna also leads a “bicoastal life” due to her work.

Lisa has three suitcases for three days, she has not yet “mastered the art of packing.”  The ladies get a tour of Joanna’s house, which is beautiful!  It’s much more homey than the Miami house.  As we learned in her blog last week, Joanna has begun an animal rescue organization.  It seems like she’s keeping all of the rescue animals in her house for now.  Lea is staying at her own house, which is over the hill from Joanna’s.  Slight dig there as Lea implies that her house is in a more desirable location than Joanna’s.   I’m not sure what it is about Lea that makes her feel the need to constantly remind us how important, wealthy & fabulous she is.

Back in Miami, Alexia is working on the cover shoot for the celebrity issue of her magazine.  Peter is there, working as a photographer.  Alexia is trying to give him more responsibility to counteract his destructive behavior.  She admits that she’s guilty of spoiling her children to make up for the lack of a father-figure in their lives.  The shoot is going well until a taxi drives by.  The driver flipped off Peter, Peter chased down the taxi & hit the vehicle.  The driver gets out & Peter starts yelling obscenities.  He comes off like a spoiled rich kid looking for trouble.  Alexia says that she needs Peter to take responsibility for his actions, but she covers for him when the police arrive.  That isn’t really making him take responsibility for his actions.

Joanna, her mother & Lisa are having cocktails outside around the fire pit that Joanna can’t seem to light.  Joanna’s mother lives in the LA house.  Their conversation, as typically happens with Joanna, turns to sex.  Lea joins them the next day to scout a wedding location.  Lisa is a little hurt that she hasn’t been asked to be a bridesmaid yet.  They get to the location of the ceremony.  The view is stunning.  Lea gets emotional thinking about Joanna’s story – the Polish girl who arrived in America with nothing & made it big.  I’ll admit that it’s a pretty impressive story, I just wish Joanna was a little more humble & less in your face about her struggles.

Adrianna is at her ceremony location too.  The ballroom reminds her of Versailles.  Frederic is happy because it reminds him of home.  Adriana announces that, between the church and the reception, guests will be required to change into 1920’s attire.  Seriously?  You expect your guests to dress up like Great Gatsby for the reception?  The wedding planner takes that idea much better than I would have, simply saying that she’d never heard of that before.  Alex asks the practical question – where will everyone change, in their car?  The wedding planner solves that quickly – there is a room available upstairs for guests to change.

At lunch in LA, Joanna asks if Lisa plans to be in Adriana’s wedding.  Like Adriana, she gives an ultimatum – Lisa must pick one of the weddings.  Joanna refuses to share Lisa as a bridesmaid.  That’s just immature – can’t Lisa be friends with everyone?  The ladies make a stop in a jeweler’s to shop for Joanna, but Lea & Lisa .  This is what I love about this show – getting to see the extravagant lifestyles that these women lead!

Alexia tells her mother about Peter’s explosion during the photo shoot.  She agrees to have a conversation with Peter in front of her mother, the psychiatrist.  That way her mother can help determine where the communication issues lie.  Peter starts by saying that he didn’t know his father until he was 5 and Alexia points out that is because his father was in jail.  Alexia kept that information from her children & Peter only learned of it last year.  Peter seems really hurt that no one told him the truth about his father, but Alexia doesn’t understand how knowing about his father’s past would have made a difference.  Peter blames Alexia for keeping the information from him.  He says that his father has talked to him about it, indicating that the two still have a relationship.  Peter says that he’s a “little replica” of his father, and that it hurts when Alexia talks about badly about his father.  Alexia apologizes for speaking badly about Peter’s father.  It’s obvious that Alexia was simply trying to protect her children.  Her mother offers confidential sessions to Peter.

Back in LA, Lisa arrives at Lea’s house.  Her house is much more modern than Joanna’s.  Lea says that this house is more her taste.  It’s somewhere she can relax & host fabulous parties for her celebrity neighbors.  Personally, I like Joanna’s house much more than Lea’s.  Maxime arrives with his huge collection of Birkins.  Lisa wants Lea to help her get another Birkin bag.  It’s explained to us that you have to be an established customer with Hermes to get a Birkin.  Lisa is not yet, but hopes to become one.  Lea makes a call & Lisa will have her blue Birkin within a few days.

Meanwhile, Joanna & her mother are wedding dress shopping.  Joanna wanted her dress to show some leg & boobs.  Her mother wants something more traditional.  Joanna’s dress will be traditional, but short in the front. On to dinner at Koi with Joanna’s LA friends.   She says that her friends in LA are different than her Miami friends.  Her LA friends have all accomplished something on their own – little dig!  Is she implying that the Miami women haven’t accomplished anything?  I think Joanna speaks before she thinks.  Two of the three ladies are bridesmaids. One of them announces that she has recently purchased a dog, which thrills Joanna.  I thought Joanna was all about rescuing animals, not purchasing them?  Joanna reiterates that Lisa can’t be a bridesmaid for both Joanna & Adrianna.  Joanna’s mother tries to reason with Joanna, telling her that she’s not being nice & that there’s no reason Lisa can’t be in both.  Joanna needs some time to think about it.

Yep!!! Ready or not, here he comes!!
      Good morning everyone!
NMD, do you think there’s a possibility Mel wants out and is using this book as her way of getting away from him without public backlash? As I was reading some of those horrible quotes from her book, I kept thinking of Robin Givens agreeing to that Barbara Walters interview, only to reveal (while cameras were rolling) that she was being abused in her marriage and that she was afraid of Mike. ‘member?

      • I do. I really think that is a possibility.

      • missusmc says:

I’m not NMD, but I will answer 🙂 I would like to think that’s what she’s doing, but honestly, I see a beautiful woman who has daddy issues and doesn’t know any better. I don’t believe she thinks this way of thinking and living is wrong. I think she, for whatever reason, needs to be controlled. It makes me sad for her.

      • plainviewsue says:

Lainey, I made the same exact comment on Lynn’s facebook blog. It really reminded me of that as well. Great minds think alike!!!

        • LaineyLainey says:

Great minds, indeed!! I love it! I might explode with happiness (so much for the great mind over here)

      • SoutheastVA says:

Please forgive me if this question offends. It is not meant to. Is this the normal Italian-American marriage setup? Theresa, Caroline and Kathy all seem like they’re underthey’re husband’s thumb too.

        • LaineyLainey says:

it’s not offensive, but it seems like it’s a self-imposed under thumbage. right? if what many of your are saying is correct, the women like it. I don’t get it.

        • missusmc says:

Teresa was brought up this way, definitely. She says she was a virgin until marriage, but Joe didnt have that same expectation. It’s what Joe and melissa are expecting of Antonia, too, but not their sons. I don’t know any first generation children myself, but it seems to be the standby excuse from all these cast members (we’re old school. We’re Italian. That’s just how things are). I’m guessing there’s some truth to it, but also a lot of stereotyping, too – which shouldn’t be surprising, since it is a Bravo show.

          • chismosa says:

            Check MARK. Yes ☑☑✔✔✔✔

          • LaineyLainey says:

Poor Mel, even after she writes her very own marital advice book which is ONLY about she and her hubby, people bring Teresa into it. It’s Mel’s non cookbook people. Keep the focus on the author!! JUST KIDDING. JUST KIDDING. JUST KIDDING. Actually, Missusmc – I wondered how long it would take for Tre’s name to come up. It actually took longer than I thought. LOL!!! But to be serious, you’re probably right. I’ll bet Tre grew up this way…maybe not to the same scary extent…you know, how Mel seems afraid to make ShoePolishJoe mad (in her writings, at least); Tre doesn’t seem scared to make Juicy mad. BUT I COULD BE WRONG. Just saying how things appear to these oldish eyes.

            • missusmc says:

Happy to be the one to bring up Teresa 🙂 I think season 1 Teresa was much closer to Melissa’s type, as far as gender stereotypes. I think before the show, Teresa was happy to sit back and raise her girls and be pretty and let Joe “be the man.” I don’t know if its because of their legal troubles, or the positive attention from fans, or what, but I think we’ve seen real growth in her part, as far as not remaining an “old school Italian housewife.” Melissa hasn’t shown the same growth. It might not be fair to compare the two, but Joe Gorga and Teresa were brought up in the same household, so comparisons are bound to happen.

Side note : my friends often give me a hard time because I see the appeal in Joe Giudice. I don’t think he’s dreamy, necessarily. But I do see his charisma and good qualities, and I see why Teresa loves him. After these book excerpts, Juicy Joe is looking like the most attractive man alive, compared to Joe Gorga! Even my friends have to admit he’s one of the best husbands on this show now 🙂

              • Chicago DI says:

II clearly remember the ” Happy Wife, Happy life comment as they sat down to dinner while discussing T’s plan to have a boob job- she smiled and laughed about it- but T has grown because she was forced to. It’s a shame, if Mel and Joey helped the Chacons as much as has been suggested, in many ways, it is the old T being held accountable for what happened to get on Bravo and the big house, etc- which they are so jelaous of-not who she has become.

              • tulsateacher says:

This just all seems contrived to me. I actually think that Melissa has the upper hand in that marriage. I think Joe is very insecure and is constantly worried about Melissa cheating on him, perhaps with good reason. I think that’s why he’s always under her armpit and at almost every public appearance she makes. When she “wrote” her book I think she thought that by coming across as submissive in their relationship she would come across as being more traditional and “old school” and that would somehow make their marriage look more genuine. I don’t believe much of anything that is written in that book. The focus of their marriage is sex (which she doesn’t seem that interested in), keeping up appearances/money, and launching her singing career when they should be concentrating on family, especially those three beautiful children they have.

  1. HuskerHuny says:

Mike, Mike, Mike, what day is it? It’s HUUUMP DAAAAY – YEAH!

Is anyone watching The Voice? I have off and on the first few times it was on, but last night I gave it a full two hours worth. Wow! Great musicians and vocalists. This show is not trying to find the next Bieber/Cyrus (thank you Jesus!). Not judged on their looks, but vocals entirely. That’s why this show finds the best undiscovered talent, by far beating American Idol at their own game.

Still don’t like Ceelo or Xtina, but Adam and Blake are big enough to carry those two. Looking forward to more.

    Happy HD to all!

  2. AZGirl says:

    OK where is Powellypoo?
There is a post on Famewhorgas that Mel’s book could be her ticket out of the marriage. She wants Joey to be revealed as the controlling asshole that he is so she has an “out”.

I don’t know what to believe except if any tiny part of that book is true then she needs help.

Allabouttherealhousewives blog has an interview with Mel’s friend (the maid of honor at her wedding) who confirmed that Joey does not allow Mel out of his sight and she is not allow out alone with her single friends. She also says that Joey has slapped Mel.

    • chismosa says:

This just flies in the face of everyone saying how controlling Mel the snake is of Joey. Funny

      • LaineyLainey says:

IMO, Its not that unusual or funny that she would be manipulative, too. It’s what she knows. It’s a sick and unhealthy dynamic. They are both in this and she is understandably trying to get whatever she can out of this mess. He can clearly be controlled with the giving and withholding of sex. He seems to have a one-track mind. That would make him quite easy to control except for when he’s raging,…which again, she explains that she keeps him “at bay” so to speak with sex. Even if it’s only 10 minutes, she submits to his obsession to keep from having “huge fights”…so why would it be so hard to imagine that she uses sex (the submitting or with-holding of it) to get him to do what SHE wants sometimes, as well.

    • missusmc says:

But weren’t Melissa’s sisters some of the positive reviewers of the book? Saying its full of wonderful advice for marriage? It seems to me they don’t see anything wrong with this way of living and thinking.

  3. chismosa says:

Wait is the poll for people who are verified purchasers of Melissa’s book? I can’t imagine anyone here reading it ! Hahaha

Great blog !!! THANK you ….💚💚💚

    • plainviewsue says:

I’m shocked that so many people said they thought this was a normal marriage. That scares me.

      • chismosa says:

I don’t trust reviews ! Unless you are a verified purchase.
And again, why on EARTH would a non-fan buy a book of someone they don’t like, borderline hate ?

…. Not applying to the poll- just “reviews” on book sites. Not blogs and articles.

      • cusi77 says:

I thought the same PlainviewSue!!! To think that someone HERE thinks that Melissa and Joey have a NORMAL marriage is shocking… to say the least.

        • HuskerHuny says:

I never once thought that this was a ‘normal’ marriage. She’s playing him for all he has. She’s playing the ‘victim’ so to speak, through the book and interviews about he never helps, never lets her go out alone, demanding in the bedroom, etc. Even if true, she is the one with all the power. Joey is whipped and has the scars to show for it.

      • lillybee says:

        Me, too.

  4. chismosa says:

Sorry I know I’m one day late with this- but just my thought—-

So after watching Andy on Wendy:
Caroline’s show was quoted as only a PILOT. Maybe it’s not going to be picked up??? Music to my ears ….🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵🎵 remember that invisible show about the family in South Jersey or Philadelphia- an Italian family ? Had a one hour show and then disappeared ??
And it sounds like for sure there are cast changes to NJ. Andy seemed to bristle at the Wakile suggestion. Hmm

Andy seems to have said that he feels Tre and Joe do not understand the severity of the issues- that’s what i got from what he said during Wendy.

I still don’t understand the schedule on Sunday. I have a feeling the NJ finale is only 1 hour. then the grey suit interview looks to be right after along with it. clumped in. Teresa Caputo seems to be the WWH guest.

    Ok after watching Bethenny:

Bethenny called Joe Gorga “juicy” — get with it ! That’s the wrong Joe Bethenny! Lol

I think you – maybe some of you/most – may be Bethenny fans – but you’re forgetting a major thing here. SHE gets these people on her show. Some fault should be on her. Why should we just say “oh her first time booking guests, it’s tough” ❎❎❎❎um no- that was LAST YEAR that it would have been tough. She had a year to prep for the real run.
Hold HER accountable for what idiots she puts on like that disgusting Tiki. This is just not boding well I think ….
What an arrogant a$$hole. His “wife” was allowed like 2 words. He is such an embarrassing situation with “marriage” talk.
Richie, Brandi, Mel and Joe ….. Bethenny doesn’t have to book them. But SHE did, approved them, whatever, blah blah. Yada
That’s HER fault for not vetting out people and twitter and books and articles and scandals (Tiki) before. Get WARREN on that Beth. 🙄

I hope Bethenny takes down the fold- out chairs and visible handbags when Martha comes in! Oh wait that filmed already. Lol

    • LaineyLainey says:

You have a good point,..about Bethenny. Why isn’t she being more “hands on” about her guests? As in, do a tiny bit of research??? You made me laugh: “get WARREN on that…” haha!! Make the billionaire her assistant? LOL!!!

      • Powell says:

Chismosa & Lainey B is such a control freak that I bet she is hands on getting the guests & doing research. And she does vet suggestions on Twitter. I think she’s just jumped in the NJ bandwagon. IMO she should have avoided that bandwagon.

        • chismosa says:

Powell yup I think she wanted to grab the ratings gravy train early on and as soon as Atlanta is on (highest bravo ratings) – she’ll get Nene on (friend of Ellen right?) – and just go on and on
Wait am I losing my mind— nene was on last week?? I’m losing it

Hmmmm remember B knows Kyle from way back in LA, babysat for Paris or whatever – and she’s having Brandi on….. And Brandi is getting along with Kyle?
I don’t even watch BH and I’m trying to put all this together. Lol

    • missusmc says:

Maybe the Juicy thing wasnt a mistake? Maybe she was making fun of Joe Gorga to his face? She looks down on the housewives, we know that. But right now that’s what she needs. Big stars don’t go to new talk shows like that. If her show continues, she will be on par with Wendy W, or what Tyra’s show used to be. Not bad, but not the same level as Ellen’s guests. I think right now she is taking what she can get and figuring out what her fans want so she can keep her show going. I predict a lot of reality stars and soap opera actors as guests in her future.

      • cusi77 says:

I LIKE Bethenny, I don’t like her talk show… I tried to watch it once and I could not stand her shouting and talking so fast and never going to the point. I did not watch but I think that if he called Joey Gorga “Juicy” was a dig. She knows perfectly Teresa and her Husband being called Juicy in the days Teresa was Blogging RHONY S3 and hating Bethenny. Teresa was in Jill Zarin Camp.

        • missusmc says:

I like her, too. I hope her show is a success. I would never try to argue she’s perfect, or hasn’t made some major mistakes since being in the public eye, but I admire her drive, and still, out of all the housewives, she remains my favorite. I think she wants this talk show to succeed soooo bad, and it shows. I hope she can relax and is given enough time to grow into this part.

        • Maybe in time she will settle into her show. Bethenny has the energy, wit and banter to carry a show, but talk shows are a dime a dozen. As for guests, someone else secures them for appearances on dates they are available and supply background notes for their interviews. She may have initially made a list of people she would like to have on the show.

          • ladebra says:

ITA Windy. Lots of people think they can do a talk show; I don’t see lots of people lasting as a talk show host. I hope Bethenny makes it. If she doesn’t, it won’t be from lack of trying. I admire her work ethic, and her drive and determination. She’s not perfect, but then very few of us are. … As for Martha Stewart calling her unlikeable back then, hello pot meet kettle. Anyway, happy Hump Day !

      • chismosa says:

Yes I get that and totally see what you mean. i guess I just figured since she had so much exposure over the years on her shows on Bravo,(and lord knows we have come to learn that respected celebrities of accord watch the channel 👅👅) then the liquor, then being produced and besties with Ellen- I thought Jen Maniston would be on.
I’m sure Lea Michele may come on

Whatever it’ll work out fine I’m sure. They don’t cancel so quickly right after a 1st full season I think
She’ll go on for a few seasons I bet

  5. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. It’s hump dayyyyyy!! 🙂 Now should we feel sorry for MG? Heck no. Tha tha that’s all folks. Have a great day.

    • chismosa says:

      Powell…. Do you watch Miami?
I’m so over the Birkin. I found some articles online about it.

      • Powell says:

Hi Chismosa. I do watch Miami. I didn’t this Monday cuz theere was too much on. I’ll watch this weekend. So they are Birkin down huh? 🙂 I really like the bag but these celebs & faux celebs have spoiled another iconic brand. Hermes’ makes so many other bags too. If I ever come into money the
Birkin will not be my purchase. I wonder how the actress Birkin feels about it. The bags were designed specifically w/her in mind. Victoria Beckham is supposed to have the largest collection. If you see her in pics she usually is carrying a Birkin.

  6. Holy cow – one hour in and almost 200 votes in the poll – most for Melissa and Joey’s marriage being normal. Fess up – who loves, loves, loves Melissa! Please tell us why!

  7. windycitywondering2 says:

All marriages are different – what works for one couple may not work for another.
Is the Gorga marriage normal? IMHO, they are both too immature, to self centered, to jealous of what others have (entitled?) and judging from the info in her book – the both are using each other and thinking they are the dominant in their marriage. LOL, they are far from my version of normal!

    • missusmc says:

I also think they’re cashing in on what’s made them popular, and what is popular in our culture right now. Joes words in the book about how even if your wife says no, she really wants to be dominated are also the same idea behind the 50 shades of Gray books and Robin Thickes song, “Blurred Lines.” Do I think he is endorsing marital rape? Probably not. Their message isn’t necessarily good advice, but it’s a message that is out there in popular places right now. Sex is their persona on the show. It’s what made them popular with fans. None of what’s in the book should be news for anyone who has watched the show. And everyone on that show has an outdated idea of gender roles and what it means to be husband and wife. I think Joe is controlling, and I think Melissa is the kind of person that needs to be controlled. It wouldn’t work for me, but may work for them.

      • LaineyLainey says:

I watch the show and was very surprised by the things they say in the book…borderline shocked. I am not a verified purchaser of the book, but I read the quotes taken from the book. And if they are genuine quotations, then, yes, I’m surprised by the things they said. Consensual sex is one thing, but forced or…um…TAKEN SEX – pull her hair, turn her over, rip off her clothes,…even if she says no? That’s not cute. There’s a word for that. But I won’t say it. Having sex to keep from having a huge fight reeks of living in fear …fear that your spouse will explode (i mean his temper not his poison).

To each his/her own,…but, I don’t see them as “sex is their persona”…I suppose their persona is in the eye of the beholder. “Covetousness and betrayal” is their persona in MY EYES. If they’d written a book on that subject, I would feel that they are more expert on that; than on giving advice on having a hot and happy marriage. Fear of huge fights does not factor into my 29 year marriage, but what do I know???

        • missusmc says:

Yes, but if you remove Teresa from all storylines (which, granted, leaves very little footage, especially this season), you’ll see Tarzan references, talks of how Joe has to have sex to release his poison, explanations of how melissa has to present herself to him, nudity, quickies in the shower on vacation… There is an abundance of footage that would prove this is their lifestyle.

And I wasn’t condoning what they are saying in the book. I was just pointing out that this is a very popular part of our culture now. After the VMAs, everyone was upset about Miley Cyrus, but I rarely, if ever, heard anyone offended by Robin Thicke’s part in it, nor did I hear anyone offended that his song, which essentially endorsed rape, was being continually prometed by MTV. And legions of women across America are eagerly anticipating the release of the 50 Shades movie, which is about a man dominating a woman in much the same fashion as Joe and Melissa.

So, while what they are saying is distasteful (and again, I said it wasn’t a belief system I agree with), I’m not surprised. I’m not surprised based on the footage I have seen of their behavior, and I’m not surprised because that’s the society we live in. I do stand behind what I first posted about Melissa- it all makes me very sad.

          • chismosa says:

            You make excellent points.

I think a big issue is that the more powerful women are in the workplace, as moms, as wives, that the one place they may want to NOT have to be in control but in a good, healthy way— is the bedroom.

Now from what I hear about that $hitty book 50 Shades- that girl is a virgin and in college ? So that’s a WHOLE other bag of tricks.
But I know that genre is a big deal. One of my best friends loves the Sylvia Day (?) books – and I think that’s a working woman.

            There’s so many issues.

A lot of these successful types that are very dominating/ forceful personalities — Bethenny, chelsea handler, I’m sure some others — they prefer a powerful man.
I think in the bedroom they want the man to dominate. In some cases not all, JMHO

          • Laineylainey says:

Sorry if my comment made you feel you had to defend yourself. You dont. i understood what you were saying. Your idea of how their book fits in with what is going on in popular culture was actually insightful, intelligent and very well written. But i don’t think they are 1/10th as smart as you and i feel you are giving them way too much credit! If I came off as judgy toward you, my apologies. I do understand that u are not siding with anyone or hating anyone…you were sharing your opinion. I can and do appreciate that.

I was only addressing, the comment about how if one watches the show the book should Not be “news”…I was only pointing out that as a sort of reg viewer I WAS SURPRISED. I might have latched on to that little comment. Like a dog with a bone. Also the persona thing, I don’t agree that sex is their persona. I understand why you think it is…I do understand. But to me their persona is not sexy…it’s rather ugly and vulgar. But that’s my opinion. I think a lot of people like them! (Not saying you do or don’t) Perhaps most viewers agree that their persona is sex. My eyes see covetous traitors who are desperate for attention. Not a sexy couple. The dog and bone are back!!! Haha. So I will stop.

By the way, I’ve stopped recording nj and stopped watching two episodes ago. Stop.

            • missusmc says:

I don’t know that I would agree that they’re sexy, either. But they seem to think they are, and the Manzos and Wakiles say it on camera a lot, too. Very annoying.

Also, for some reason, I have a hard time being brief with my opinions 🙂 sorry if I ambushed you on this topic- I can’t seem to get my point across in just a couple of sentences. I would make a horrible reality show star- I could never give a good, short sound byte!

        • Chicago DI says:

Lainey, I agree with every word ! Mine is over 30 years- and none of the eight marriages(next generation) in my family over the past few years were based on any of these concepts. ( Ages 24-29) They are balanced couples looking for partnerships and commitment- not violent, controlling /controlled sex. They know who they married- not just what they can get or want from the other. And their commitment is to building a life together- not being good in bed, with a view that family is there to be 1) stolen from and 2) copied and lied about, in order to gratify personal goals. , wiithout regard for family members.

I’ve been ill and away for a bit- it’s a joy to see yournames and thoughts again!

Hi Chicago DI! Nice to see you! CONGRATS on 30 years!!!

Are you on an iPad? My typos are outta control with my iPad. A small price to pay, because I LOVE IT!! It’s so convenient. I will try to answer your question succinctly. (Why’s everybody laughing?). It is rumored, though never proven that Melissa and Joe Gorga promised to “bring Teresa down” if Bravo would sign them. Melissa was feeding Danielle Staub information to hurt Teresa. Danielle has emails from Melissa where Melissa was asking to tape with Danielle so that she could make Teresa look bad. Danielle says she refused to be party to that family conflict, but promised Melissa she would forward her emails to the appropriate people at Bravo. When Tre confronted Mel on camera, she admitted it aNd added, but that was in the past and we are trying to move on right? But now since there is no storyline for the Gorgas, they themselves keep talking about the rumors of Mel’s cheating to keep implicating Teresa (as a rumor monger/instigator) making Tre look bad and for them to have more screen time. (I’m guessing). I think the 39 counts of fraud make Tre look bad enough, but her brother and sister in law are relentless anyway.

  8. Mene Seela says:

    from Page Six

    De Lesseps’ lips are loose

LuAnn de Lesseps may have had a few too many drinks during an unofficial wrap party for “The Real Housewives” thrown by Heather Thomson on Friday.

After dinner at La Villette, “the Countess” went outside and “was singing her original songs at the top of her lungs, and the neighbors began to complain,” says a spy. “She was asked to lower the volume but continued till she was put into a cab.”

De Lesseps tells us: “It was a great party, I had a great time and I love to sing! Thank goodness they put me in a cab before I broke out my Broadway show tunes!”

Also at the bash were Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, Sonja Morgan and Brandi Glanville, among others. Before the season wrapped, we hear, the show’s final episodes took a contentious turn as the “Housewives” fought with Aviva Drescher.

We hear that when Singer, Morgan, Radziwill, Thomson and de Lesseps recently arrived at Jamie’s restaurant in Midtown and saw Drescher there, they made Morgan ask her to leave.

  9. TexasTart says:

Let me pick myself up off the floor to say there is no way that poll in todays’ blog is for real. I completely disagree the results, as they are at noon, to be an authentic cross section of Lynn’s place regulars. I know you don’t have to be a regular to vote. My point is the the poll allows multiple votes and someone has bombed this poll. If I knew the number of votes cast it would be relative to my claim.

    • Powell says:

      And TexasTart I haven’t even voted. 🙂

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

TT I think I about fell of my chair when I saw the results. It certainly didn’t reflect the majority of the opinions that are expressed.

Even for our dear friends here that do happen to like Joe and Melissa, I don’t think they could read those quotes and say that is normal or a marriage that should be emulated.

  10. Powell says:

Well I get what Martha was saying. B wanted “it” so bad that she was just too loud, too in your face, a pest. B needed to dial it back a notch.

  11. TexasTart says:

Doesn’t anyone think that IF Teresa reads this book, that she will think differently of her brother? I know that’s a big ‘what if’ because what’s in the book is not an opinion or words about her. But what from what pieces I’ve read, they do not paint a picture of a healthy relationship – albeit Mellisa’s viewpoint, the book offers an insight to what type of husband Joe Gorga is. Teresa has overlooked or made peace with her brother over their differences or treatment of one another in the past – but does Teresa read this with eyes wide open – does she have pause to what she absorbs from it? I would like to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

  12. NJBev,
So sorry to hear about your Mom being in the hospital, sending you & her lots of prayers. Your Mom suffering from post traumatic stress – honestly, she has been through more than she ever deserved to be, and God bless her!!! She’s a survivor and a real heroine. What is harrowing is back in those days, no one could get therapy, like we can now. ((((( NJBev & her Mom )))))

In my family, we still have lots of relatives in Switzerland. For years, people would ask me “are you German?” My real name is sooooo German, lol starting with my first name, Gretchen.
Last name I’d rather not say. It ends with 2 n’s so that’s very German. However, I would deny it!!! All because of Hitler & the Natzis. Now that I’m older, and have met real Germans that survived in Germany, can I say I’m proud to be German, finally? Not all the Germans were happy with Hitler, thank God. Some even tried to save the Jews. I get so emotional discussing this.

Why? Because we now believe that one of my grandmother’s was Jewish. She never told her children (my mom, aunt & uncle). She died in 1947, in this country. Before we could ever ask her. You see, I think she hid it because not only was she afraid of anti semitism, but she also feared anti German backlash. There never was anyone left in her family in the Alsace region of Germany where she came from, that we know of to contact. She chose to be Swiss on her papers, when my Grandfather (who actually was Swiss) & she got their American citizenship papers. I have a sister that has become a practicing Jew, after she did research on our Grandmother. Her husband was half Jewish, so he also became a practicing Jew. He’s half Cuban and half Puerto Rican. His father was a Jew from Cuba.

YNJBev your bag story is so funny! I am a bag hoarder too…..lol!

    • chismosa says:

I’m just into all things German, it’s ‘my thing’ – you have such a compelling story!

Don’t people realize that Swiss people can have German, French, or Italian names ?

That is very interesting your background. There are a couple of books I have I haven’t read yet, if I find them in my piles I’ll give you the names — it’s about Germany around that time.
You know I know some Cuban jews too??? So interesting — I wonder how they fled to there. Were they Sefardic or Ashkenazi, etc.

I hope you caught the chelsea handler who do you think you are. Would really touch you

When I read the last paragraph I almost
      sh/t my pants—-
remember I mentioned going to a family
reunion on my Dad;s side? That I found some
interesting things out? It looks like my great-Grandparents
(who immigrated from Germany) were Jewish-
this is way before Hitler. They never told their
kids(my grandfather being one of them)
They just had all their children Baptized!!
My cousin showed me the papers about the
GreatGrands, and I have the Baptism papers
      about Grandpa.
The family believes that the anti-antisemitism
here in the US was far greater than in
      Europe at that time-
( Apparently many people hid their true
ID in those days, it was pretty easy to do-
You couldn’t get get away with that now)
I have no clue- I’m too busy to start another
project right now. But one day……………….

I used to lie about being German as well, Blue.
My last name really sounds Swedish, so I went
      with that-
My daughter lies about it as well, and just tells
people she’s Armenian. I heard her do it one time,
and it really hurt my feelings. Go figure-
Hope all is well with you, xo

  13. Did anyone else read that Gretch the Wretch and Alexis were fired from their show?

I don’t pretend to know the Gorgas marriage, but the way she speaks to him when she thinks they are not on camera (calling him an idiot for throwing the drink during spa trip dinner) tells me she is not that scared or controlled by Joe.

    Quite the opposite, really.

    • Amalfi says:

Not that Joe, isn’t an idiot, but I don’t buy that submissive wife shit any more than the rest of the hooey she is selling.

      • LaineyLainey says:

HA HA Amalfi. I like your second comment. If one takes the book at face value…it is alarming (her situation); but we have seen more than what is in the book…so, we can’t just take it at face value because we’ve seen her behave in a controlling way,…but I thought the book was a look “behind closed doors” so to speak. Which is what had me surprised, and a bit alarmed for her. I’m prob wasting the iota of concern I have for this whole situation. I just can’t imagine living like that for too long.

    • Mene Seela says:

I totally agree! Melissa is not “scared” of Little Peter Poison in the least.

  15. shamrockblonde says:

what she may believe in her heart we may never know, but my guess would be that she would be angry that Mel portrayed her brother in a bad light but her true feelings about it would be something she would not discuss – only the fact that Mel made her brother look bad – on that she will have a comment –

I have not read the book, but I participated in the survey, voting for every option but the normal one – my hope – or quite possibly my delusion – is that Mel is a very very poor writer and expressed her situation badly – very badly – and her editor cannot read – but more than likely, she deliberately wrote it that way, and her editor agreed – now as to the why…..that remains in the twilight zone that is RHONJ –

and my favorite commercial is the one about being happier than a witch in a broom factory!!! love that one!!

    • missusmc says:

That’s pretty much what I was trying to express above. I think- I am hoping, at least- some of the quotes conveying sexual violence are very poorly worded, exaggerated stories. I think they are dumb enough to think it is trendy and sexy to talk and act this way. I believe the outdated gender ideas are accurate, but I hope this is just another example of their stupidity.

      • Chicago DI says:

That’s my overall reaction- everything she describes is so backward and old-school, and she is so manipulative and pushy- that I think she thinks she is describing what is “cool” t o young people today- and what will make her more appealign to people. Remeber, she tlkaed ab out it being the photo shoot for “her first book”, becasue ther would be more! ”

Melissa thhinks she is going to be a big star, is going to be a very visible person, and is tryign to portray what she htinks makes her sound cool. She oculd not be further form the truth, of course.

This ugly concpe tthat she was always beustiful and envied- just as T envies her, right, Mel-. But hse is a dutiful wife with an edge of sexiness thrown in- so cool-

        ugh! –

      • justanothermary says:

I hope you’re right but. . . we know she had a ghost writer or at the very least editors who would clue her in to how she’s coming off. The first was if anyone should know that word, it certainly would be Heather. And my next thought was to try to put together a RH Championship Condescending team; one from each franchise. So I figure Heather from OC, Lea from Miami, Luann from NY, and Caroline (by default i.e. who else comes close?) from NJ. But for the life of me, I can’t figure out a candidate from ATL? They all strike me as the sort of woman to whom “class” was something they cut when they were in high school.

Italian men like hispanic men are controlling (I know not all but from where I grew up yes) their machismo. In their eyes women are beneath them only good for sex, household chores incapable of monogamy without complete control. Not allowed out of the house without supervision big no no. Reality insecure little pricks!! But in Joego’s case severe cause of the roids he’s hyper aggressive no surprise that he hits meho and rapes her. I feel sorry for her daughter she will grow up thinking that is normal and its not its disturbing. I hope bravo wakes up and throws them off the show.

    There’s nothing regal about this.

Real Housewives Of New York veteran Countess LuAnn de Lesseps was DUMPED because her long-time boyfriend Jacques Azoulay couldn’t shake his fears that she’d cheated on him, RadarOnline.com has been told.

The French winemaker was wrecked with suspicion after the Countess spent time alone with Tomas, a French-speaking Johnny Depp lookalike whom she met a club during an alcohol-fueled night out in St. Barts — a scene that played out on the popular Bravo show last season.

“Jacques wanted to believe LuAnn and for a while their relationship appeared to be back on track,” a source close to the situation told Radar.

How Housewives Stars Go From Home To Hot – See The Photos

“Then, the Countess began to pressure him for a marriage proposal and that is when the trust issues came up again. Jacques just couldn’t trust her and he decided to end the relationship.”

Complicating matters, the 48-year-old former fashion model was caught in a MAJOR lie about Tomas!

She had told her costars — and later Jacques, in a phone call — that she brought home a group Italian friends, not the young hunk.

The reality star later wrote on her blog, “Character counts and honesty matters. I’m sorry I concocted a story about my ‘Italian friends’ coming back to the house. I admit that my problem is the cover-up not the crime. I can assure you once again that nothing happened with Tomas.”

A source close to the Countess said she’s been “devastated” by her ex-decision to end their romance.

“She really thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with him. Jacques treated her so well. She is very lost right now,” the insider said.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Jezebel’s spin on this is very much what their readers (I include myself among this group) would respond to. Anyone who thinks Melissa is getting raped in her marriage has no idea what we have seen. She is silly and overstating her level of submission which I do not even see. I don’t think she is advocating that. I just think she is an idiot who cannot communicate.

Hi Sorry SOOOOO off topic — just need quick advice —
But has anyone here ever been to a taping of a game show where they say they want everyone at least 18 years old ?

I have a cousin staying with me from San Diego and a friend of ours has tickets to Who Wants to Be A Millionaire — and it says you must be 18, she’s 17.
Are they tough about this ? Checking the Id’s and all

    We are sad 😦

Sorry – if anyone knows….. Any advice at all
    Thanks !

    • Laineylainey says:

      Idk! Sorry!

    • Orson says:

I’m not sure, but if the game show chooses its contestants from the audience, you have to think they need to protect themselves from minor labor laws. And if a minor is selected but is there without a parent or legal guardian, they can’t sign the proper releases.

    • NJBev says:

I had family members who were actually on the show.
You have to be 18 b/c of the ‘gambling’ issue,
I would think a game show would fall under the same
      legal issues.
(Like AC, if your kid, who is going to be 18
at 12 am pulls the lever at 11;59 and hits the jackpot- they won’t
      pay him) that’s the issue.
If you can wait till tmro, I can call my family member and ask if
they check the ID at the door, and what the issue is about the age requirement.
Chi- when are the tickets for? How long do you have before you need an answer.?
How many people in your party, and is anyone actually going to be Playing?
sorry for all the question, but I know they will ask me
and I want to be able to answer them w/o coming back to you—

if you can give me complete info b4 i speak with them, it would be a great
help. but if you can’t -I will pester their @ss until I am completely satisfied
      with our answers.

      • chismosa says:

        Hi Bev—

Sorry so late, not sure if you will see this in time — but it seems the tickets are for either early next week or late this week????

NO nobody plans on playing — just being in the audience. I just didnt know if on the line outside they checked IDs and all that

You are told to wear all dark clothing ??? – I think so the cameras don’t catch you and you can hide it out in the lights ? It is for four tickets. Sorry I don’t know exact dates- at this moment. In the morning I may be able to contact the person who has them —–

Thanks so much for all your info, it has helped!
The tickets were free I suppose we could always stand on line and just try and see what happens

      • chismosa says:

NJ Bev, they are going today — so they’re just going to wing it ! Tickets were free so ……

The manifesto is up!!!!!!!! Warning…She hates all us “haters”!

    • VV says:

Lord help us. It is at moments like this that I thank star99! I will not read . That lady is certifiable.

    • Powell says:

Well we don’t think to highly of her either so no lose. 🙂

    • missusmc says:

It’s because she keeps getting called out by autism advocates on twitter, who are saying that what she is perpetuating is bad for the autism community. She actually responded last week with, “you’re just jealous of all the attention I’m getting” or something to that effect. She’s so funny. Whenever she gets mad, she lets it slip that she’s not actually trying to tell Nicholas’ story. It’s really all about her and how much attention she gets.

    • chismosa says:

      How lovely.

I bet they don’t have stinkbugs there 😦
(Something I battle here in ny)

      • NJBev says:

        Hey Chi!
I had stink bugs about 3/4 yrs ago.
        EVERY freaking where!
the next year we had them
        but not nearly as bad.
        Following year a few.
        Now none.
        My exterminator says we won’t
see them again for years, as it
        turns out they migrate to
        different regions.
        Thank God!!!

        • chismosa says:

So interesting! Last year when I called like 7 exterminators they told me “south jersey” he heard had them VERY bad. I don’t believe you are very south are you ?

I know the BAD states are Pennsylvania, Maryland, and now us tri-state
We put a silicone shut thing – capper- I forget what it’s called, on our chimney last fall so I’m PRAYING this year none come in. Fingers crossed.

How interesting about the migrating —- I’m wondering if the west ever gets them! Or the beautiful California coastal cities …..

    • Nancy says:

Looks like where I grew up in Canada. Beautiful.

  28. ladebra says:

I don’t think we are the only people tired of Bravo weddings.

    • chismosa says:

Is this a twitter account that Simon runs ?

    • Powell says:

Oh well. Maybe now Bravo will get it that we’re all weddingd out. I swear these Bravolebrities are really spoiling special things for me. The Countess made me hate the one shoulder dress then they ALL had to wear it. NeNe & Sheree finally pushed me over the edge with the Birkin bags. NeNe, Sheree, Tamra, Alexis, Kim made me no longer like Loubitons. And the whole franchise made me dislike tv weddings. The only thing they have not managed to make me dislike is wine even though just about all of them have a bottle or two out.

      • TexasTart says:

LOL! I enjoyed this rant Powell! Pandora’s (Lisa from BH daughter) wedding was the only wedding by Bravo that I enjoyed and everything thereafter has not been “fresh”..it’s more like forced!

  29. Powell says:

Did you all know they did the remake of the movie Carrie? Julianne Moore is the mom. I love her. I didn’t recognize the actress playing the daughter. I loved Cissy Spacek in the original.

    • Laineylainey says:

Yes, I saw that! Not sure if I am intrigued enough to watch it. The first is such a classic. The new one, like most new things, isn’t geared for me, their target audience are the youngers who aren’t as attached to the original probably.

    • chismosa says:

The daughter is played by this very up and coming actress – Chloe or Chloe Grace Moretz.
She was in that violent kids’ superhero movie Kick A$$ that the sequel just came out recently that Jim Carrey was in and he decided after some recent events to speak out against how violent the movie was.

She was in the remake of one of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen and they call it the best “vampire” film – Let the Right One In – a Swedish film
that still haunts me! The American version Chloe was in and is called Let Me In.

She’s a big rising star. I just don’t know if today’s audience will react to “Carrie” like the original. She looks a bit cross eyed to me but I don’t think she is. 👀👀

      • Laineylainey says:

Oh my gosh….I love that vampire movie!!!! Love, love, love it!! The Swedish one was sooooooo good! The American ones cool, too.

        • chismosa says:

Ooooh I’m so glad you saw it ! Wasnt the Swedish one the best ! I must confess I haven’t seen the English one yet 😦

I don’t even read books of movies so — this may be similar in my mind.
          Such a beautiful movie

  30. VV says:

Will Melissa YET AGAIN blame Teresa for the bad rap Mehos book is getting. Let’s see how long it takes for her and Joey to blame Tre.

    • TexasTart says:

With any luck they will impale themselves on their own sword and it won’t matter.

      • AZGirl says:

That is so Shakespearean of you…and I feel like reciting something out of A MidSummer Night’s Dream….”If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended, that you who have slumbered here, while these vision did appear.

So appropriate for what we have been subjected to regarding editing on Bravo.

  31. TexasTart says:

Why does “verified purchaser” keep coming up in relation to the blog or poll? I thought that term was for reviews on Amazon.

    • Laineylainey says:

Right-o-Rooney, TX – that’s what I thought. I was using the term rather irreverently.

    • chismosa says:

      Texas it’s me!
I brought it up in regards one day to someone talking about the amazon reviews of a book — be it great reviews or bad reviews

You know how on some shopping sites ( for instance I know GNC does this as well)- if someone just reviews something to review, it’s ok- but I’m suspicious especially about polarizing reality stars and negative reviews. Why would someone post a review of a person’s book that they paid actual money for – if you hate / strongly dislike someone, why are
      you buying their book!?!?

But the “verified purchase”‘is just what these sites LABEL the reviewer if indeed that site knows the reviewer purchased that item from them
I was simply pointing that out

And now it’s a funny little joke — by Lainey of course —- hahaha!

      • TexasTart says:

Thanks Chismosa, I didn’t pick up on it being a joke. Seriously speaking, Amazon should not allow for book reviews unless the person bought the book…frankly I’m surprised they still allow bogus reviews. Maybe they figure people will buy something while there.

  32. AZGirl says:

OK gang….straighten up and fly right and grab a beverage of your choice. MDLLA is coming at you.

p.s. Second Born just informed us that he has health insurance through work and we can take him off…THANK YOU JESUS!!!

    • Laineylainey says:

My son is finally signing his contract this week, and health ins is included! I’m happy too, but our daughter is still on my insurance so not sure if it will make a big difference.

She has been acting more screwy than usual this week-I didn’t follow everything but I think IA said that she was talking with the persons neighbor and then the person tweeted IAs personal info….twitter is scary

      • Laineylainey says:

I’ve been nosying around on twitter and Faux Reality Ent indicates that the culprit(s) have been celebrating on twitter?

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

No not true really-I saw the culprit say she deleted the tweet with IA info-which was public info since she found it on google-but anyway-IA did tel this woman she was talking with her neighbor-the woman freaked out that IA was searching for her so she had a knee jerk reaction-which she admits was stupid

          • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

And let me add-twitter is nuts and all these people have been tweeting including IA for a week straight about craziness-it was bound to come to a boiling point. They were all pushing each other trying to get each other to break…twitter is their life!!!

            • Laineylainey says:

              I had no idea.

            • rabblerouser2010R says:

IA started this whole thing by writing blogs about people on twitter , threatening to call people’s bosses…and the lot. But when it comes to her, she wants a hands off approach…because ‘she has a son who might see it’.

Well everyone else has families too…she didn’t give a f*ck when she was calling Lynn and anti-Semite on how Lynn’s Jewish DIL and grandbabies might see it.

              Screw her.

Things that make me go….hmmm. 40% of the peeps who voted in the poll believe that Joe and Melissa’s marriage is normal??? Seriously???

  39. VV says:

Teresa and Melissa ARE NOT the same. Teresa will never try to keep her in laws away from the family. Teresa will never get on a TV show behind his brother and SIL’s back. Teresa will never coach Juicy on what to do. I don’t get when people say they are the same. THEY ARE NOT.
