Jill Zarin’s Shocking Confession about Ramona Singer’s Husband by NMD
The credit goes to a friend from the Prairie. Her intuition led her put some clues together that linked the gossip about Mario Singer’s alleged cheating to Jill Zarin. The story is about to be blown open according to a source, and we should get confirmation today that Jill was involved.

You Hit Me, I’ll Hit Back, Did Ramona Spill Jill’s Secret – and Jill Spill Hers? by NMD
The credit for piecing this one together comes from a friend on facebook with a love of Star Trek. It intrigues me enough to bring to the blog and the public realm. The history is from memory – the current is from guesswork. We know these ladies and they are both capable of this – it just about stringing the hints together.
It all started when Jill and Ramona went to the same wedding in the Hamptons a few weeks ago. Actually, it all started many years ago, and we watched it build on the Real Housewives of New York. Team Jill and Team Ramona – fighting over a silly tennis match. As Bethenny Frankel explained in the reunion of Season One of the show – the two ladies ran in the same circles – their relationship was different. Season Two opened with Bethenny and Jill sitting at Jill’s table, with Bethenny telling Jill she needed to apologize for an article she “leaked” to the newpaper saying that Simon Van Kempen was falling down drunk at a party. Jill explained that Simon had hurt her for saying she was a typical Long Island girl so she hit back with the “drunk” article. Foreshadowing?
On Season Four of the show, the relationship between Jill and Ramona had sunk to an all-time low. This was the year that Jill was under fire as the most “hated” housewife of the franchise. I’m sure WE all remember that time well. Simon was taken to task on screen for mean tweets (only Kelly Bensimmon could think that Simon’s tweets were mean – but this is the woman that freaked out over Bethenny giving her a gift bag) and being friends with a “hate” blogger and “stalker” by Bobby (thank you Bobby for mentioning Lynn’s blog (I Hate Jill Zarin) on national TV.) The person accused of stalking was WSL, a frequent poster on Lynn’s blog (and an occasional poster here). At that time, she had gone to a birthday party for Simon’s children, and written about it on Lynn’s blog. She lived near Jill in NY, and had gone for a walk and taken some photos of the outside of what she thought was Jill’s building (based on some shots she saw on the show.) Turns out she was mistaken – that the show shots were taken of another building, but it was enough for Jill to call her a “stalker” on national TV. During this heated time, Ramona took to her Bravo blog and defended Lynn’s blog, calling it funny.
Season Four deteriorated into a vitriolic hate fest, culminating in an all out attempt to label Ramona as a drunk (Ramona didn’t help herself by shamelessly plugging her Pinot Grigio line every chance she got) and her husband Mario as a cheater. It was rumored that Jill pulled out all the stops, setting up fake blogs, paying people to seed blog comments, and trying to conduct an all out social media war against Ramona. Ramona struck back by insinuating that Jill was a recovering alcoholic. Jill never really denied that – just took Ramona to task for breaking the alcoholics anonymous “code.” After two horrific hours of reunion footage where the ladies yelled and screamed and demeaned each other, viewers had enough, and panned the final reunion segment. This, along with the suicide of Russell Armstrong (husband of a Beverly Hills housewife) send shockwaves through Bravo management. After hemming and hawing all summer, they decided to retool the franchise, cutting Zarin, Bensimmon and Alex McChord (Simon’s wife).
This move will undoubtedly go down as the worst move ever made by Bravo executive management – represented by Andy Cohen. Ratings of the show plummeted as three new ladies were brought on board. Even though Ramona Singer managed to get into fights with most of them – the raw and heated emotions of the original cast couldn’t be duplicated. Do not get me wrong. I was very happy to see Zarin and Bensimmon get tossed from the show. But from a purely rating standpoint – when you have the “most hated housewife” in history on your show, you should keep her. Villains bring in the ratings. They should have just tossed Bensimmon.
That should have been the end of Zarin, but it wasn’t. After Season Five closed with disappointing ratings, she was invited on Cohen’s late night talk show – Watch What Happens Live – to discuss being fired. It brought in HUGE ratings. Enough so that Cohen had to go on record stating unequivocally that he stood behind the new cast and Zarin would not be invited back on the show. Actions speak louder than words, and the whole cast was put on ice – not learning for around six months if there would even be a Season Six. In contrast – Real Housewives of New Jersey finished about the same time last year – a new season was filmed and has already aired. That must have been rubbing salt in the wound to Zarin – she proved she could bring in ratings, the show needed the ratings, but Andy wouldn’t have anything further to do with her.
When all seemingly seemed to have settled down, but New York is a small place, and it appears as though Jill and Ramona ran into each other at a wedding in the Hamptons on September 7th. Jill tweeted:
“Another weekend another wedding! Beautiful day!” and ”Beautiful ceremony. Yes this is their house in background. Beautiful !” and tweeted a photo of her dress, standing in front of the back of the house. (Picture Credit (Jill Zarin))
Ramona also tweeted that day: “Pulling up to a wedding in southampton ride before the bride” (Picture credit (Ramona Singer))
Same bridesmaids dresses – same wedding.
A few weeks later, Star News published a story saying that Jill got drunk at a wedding and fell into the pool, then got out and went into the kitchen asking for left over lamb chops to take home to Ginger. The story was pulled the next day. When asked why the story was pulled, Jill responded on September 18th:
Interestingly, Ramona responded to that tweet on the 22nd – with a simple tag @jillzarin.
Then on the 24th – Zuzy tweeted Jill asking her if the story about her falling into the pool was true. She responded: “Ramona pushed me in i heard! RT @ZuzMiami @Jillzarin Is it true you fell in a pool at a wedding?”
Fast forward to this week – when Page 6 published a story about Mario Singer having an affair and getting a young woman pregnant. Anyone could have given that story to Page 6, but this small note on NaughtbutNiceRob’s writeup makes inquiring minds suspicious (what’s that about protesting too much?).
“UPDATED: The only way this story could get past NYPOST legal team is if came from someone with first hand knowledge. This would never have run if it were leaked by another housewife.” see story here.
For those of us that have watched these two ladies since they came onto our TV screen, it is entirely conceivable that they are still bent on tearing each other down. Ramona is known to speak first and think later. Even on last year’s reunion, there was a segment when she started to say something about LuAnn de Lesseps – and LuAnn shot her a warning look and said “do you really want to go there” and Ramona snapped her mouth shut. It is conceivable that she thought it humorous to tell a story about Jill falling into the pool. But of course, that story would not be funny at all to Jill – especially the part about being drunk. Jill’s MO would be to hit back – hard. Someone hit Ramona hard. It’s doesn’t take much of a stretch of imagination to think it might have something to do with her former cast mate – and rehash the rumors of Mario’s infidelity.
As I said earlier – this is all memory and guess work – except the part about them both being at the Hampton’s wedding – that my fb friend figured out by watching their twitter timelines.
The NY ladies will always be my favorites, but this reminds me about why the IHJZ blog was so popular during the day. It makes me very tired and sad to think how their lives will be affected by these latest rumors. Is the price of being on TV worth is?
Update: In the Article about Jill falling into the pool – it also says Bobby was trolling for dates. Almost a direct link now. Thanks again to my Star Trek loving friend. (photo credit – Andy Cohen’s fan page photo timeline facebook.)
Real Housewives of Miami – S3Ep11
“The Black Sheep” by HydrangeaHussy
Last week we saw Adriana & Frederic finally walk down the aisle. Hopefully we can stop dealing with the Adriana marriage scandal now. This week we get to take a trip back to Texas with Lea. Should be interesting to see where she comes from.
We begin with Lea & RJ packing for the trip to Waco, TX. I love that she has a packing list & is checking things off – I do that too, otherwise I’ll get to my destination without a toothbrush or something. In her TH, she gives some info on her background. Lea says that Waco is a small town in TX & that she moved away on the day after her high school graduation. She doesn’t see her large family very often, but is going for a weekend as RJ misses his cousins. She doesn’t really understand why her son wants to visit TX, but she’s going to make him happy. I know Lea is now the unofficial ‘mayor of Miami,’ but she could have the decency not to belittle her family or her hometown. For those who aren’t familiar with it, Waco, TX is about halfway between Dallas & Austin. The population is about 125,000, which isn’t tiny, & it’s the home of Baylor University.
Lisa has been invited to travel with Lea. She & Lenny have had some tension following the wedding, so she’s glad to be getting away for the weekend. Lisa tells us that she’s curious to see where Lea grew up because no one knows much about Lea’s history. I can’t wait to see how Lisa reacts to TX!
Joanna & Romain are video chatting with Romain’s biological mother. It’s unclear if this is the abusive mother that he talked about in Episode 9. They all seem friendly, so it may not be. They tell his mother that they have set a wedding date & she is overjoyed! Joanna is excited to have all of her family & Romain’s family at the wedding. His mother tells them that she cannot be there because she is having back surgery. Joanna says that she knows Romain is upset. They call Romain’s father next. Joanna says that she has never met him in person, but only through video chats. Romain’s father says that he wants to come visit after the wedding so that he can spend time with them & not be busy with wedding things. They finally call Romain’s brother, who will try to take off work. Joanna asks what is wrong with the family? After 6 years, they are finally getting married & no one can be there! I would be devastated if my immediate family were unable to attend my wedding. Once again, we see the contrast between Romain & Joanna’ families.
Adriana says that, now that she & Frederic are married (remember that wedding license didn’t count), there is a sense of family. She wants to chaperone Alex’s formal dance so she can be there with him. Alex doesn’t seem keen on the idea. Frederic ushers Adriana out of the room so Alex can get ready. I see a little of Ramona in Adriana here. Both want to be involved in their children’s activities & are a little resistant to them growing up. The boys get into Frederic’s car & drive away. Adriana does not go with them.
Lea, Lisa & RJ are on the way to TX. Lisa expects to meet socialites & fabulous people on this trip, based upon her impression of Lea. I live in northwest Louisiana, so I’m familiar with Texas. There is plenty of money & there are plenty of socialites in Dallas! Lea says that Lisa is going to be surprised by Lea’s home & family. RJ is wearing a cowboy hat – he’s already in the TX spirit! The trip is starting out to be a long trip – they have mechanical issues in Miami & then luggage trouble in Dallas. They finally arrive at the hotel. As they enter the hotel, RJ tells a man to stop smoking & the man asks RJ if he wants a dip. Just shows the difference between Miami & Dallas.
Lea’s whole family has gathered in the hotel bar. Lea says hello to everyone & introduces Lisa. Lea says that her family is more laid back than Miami folks. They are two different worlds, so she tries to keep them separate. Lea’s parents divorced when she was young & she has two half-sisters. Lisa has never heard that Lea has a sister, much less two! Lea has only a phone relationship with her mother because she only visits TX twice per year. Lisa notes the contrast between Lea & her mother. While Lea is always put together & wears fancy jewelry, her mother is not over-the-top. Lisa says that Lea’s family is “normal,” which surprises her.
In the morning, RJ is wide-awake & ready for the day. He’s afraid that Lisa will be running late. Surprise! Lisa is awake & joins them for breakfast. She tells Lea how nice her family seems. Lea says that her family is closer to each other & that she is the outsider. Lea isn’t happy with a nice house, picket fence & dog, as her family is. She feels different than the rest of her family. Lisa observes that Lea has trouble relating to her family. They all pile into the car & head out to see Lea’s family. Lisa finds it amusing that a road is called “Cotton Gin Rd.” She says “only in Texas!” It was kind of fun for me to see them traveling through Dallas, as I visit there several times each year. It’s where people from north Louisiana go for a little culture & good shopping.
They arrive at Lea’s cousins house, which is pretty nice by most people’s standards. It’s located in the suburbs. The family is dressed nice, but casual, & is having cocktails. RJ gets a lesson in the proper way to wear a cowboy hat. Lea’s sister asks if Lea minds them saying a blessing before eating. RJ looks confused so I’m assuming that they don’t often say grace at home. Lisa says that her family says a blessing before meals. The gathering seems like something my friends would put together – good food, buckets of beer & everyone just mingling. The ribs look amazing!!!
Lisa gets some scoop on Lea’s childhood. Lea was a cheerleader & dated football players. She was bossy, go figure! Lea doesn’t find her background very interesting, but Lisa wants to know about her. Lea’s cousin points that it’s ok to be from Waco. I wonder if her family is every discouraged by Lea’s disinterest & condescension. Lisa sits down to talk with Lea’s mother & sister, who describe Lea as very caring. Lisa learns that Lea has been helping to support her family when they need help. Lisa learns that Lea had another sister, Kim, who passed away in a car accident three years ago. It’s obvious that her death greatly affected Lea & the rest of her family. While the family wanted to talk about Kim, Lea seemed to close off. In her TH, Lea says that it’s just something she gets through but will never get over.
Back in Miami, Romain has a surprise for Joanna – dinner on the dock. Joanna seems really appreciative of Romain’s efforts. They discuss their relationship. Romain points out that their relationship is something that will need constant work. He has decided to forgo the pre-nup & tears it up. Romain has rented a yacht for the evening & the two set sail. The final surprise is a puppy! I would be a little suspicious with so many surprises in one day, but Joanna seems pleased. It’s good that the two are working on their relationship & that she didn’t focus on sex this time!
Alexia is setting up for a dinner party at her house to celebrate she & Herman’s 10-year anniversary. She says that she wanted to have a small gathering to celebrate all they have overcome recently as a family. It’s nice to see the whole family gather together, including Herman’s sons. They show some footage of the wedding, which included all of the children. Alexia tells Herman that she truly appreciates all that Herman has done for her children. As usual, Frankie is the one to lighten the mood a little. It’s obvious that others want Alexia to move on a little, but she keeps talking about all of their struggles. It got a little depressed.
Back in Dallas, Lea & Lisa are at a club to see Lea’s nephew rap. He used to be a country singer, but now he’s a rapper. It was great to see the whole family there to support him. The next day, Lea & Lisa arrive at a “dance hall & saloon” to meet some of Lea’s friends. They mock the place as they enter, but I think it looks fun. Lea points out that she had a “very successful” company when she met Roy & that she did not marry him for money. The women they meet worked for Lea selling skin care products. Lea is eager to point out how hard they worked & that they wanted to depend only on themselves. In infomercials, Lea sounds exactly the same! Lisa is inspired by Lea’s personal success. I have to wonder if Lea is actually friends with these women. The whole thing seemed to be about Lea bragging.
In Miami, Marysol arrives at Alexia’s house after the dinner. She brings red velvet cake for Frankie. Marysol opens up to Alexia about how much she has been struggling with her mother’s condition. Elsa has deteriorated & Marysol feels as though she is losing her. She says that Alexia is the only person who can help her through this. Alexia encourages Marysol to keep going & never give up. She understands that there will be bad days to get through. Alexia suggests having Frankie speak to Elsa.
Back at the saloon, Lea is invited to dance. She’s actually not bad at the two-step! Lisa struggles a little, but has found a man to help her learn. Then, Lisa rides the mechanical bull. It’s barely moving when she starts screaming, but she does not fall off. It’s Lea’s turn next. She doesn’t fall off either. Lea says that she could live in this world, but that it wouldn’t be enough for her. RJ is spending the evening with his grandmother. They order room service & raid the mini bar for soft drinks.
It’s time for Lea to head back to Miami. She says that she enjoys the slower pace for a few days at a time. Lisa sees some of herself in Lea, they both wanted more than a small town life. Lea’s mother wants them to stay, but Lea can’t wait to get home. I’m a little tired of her putting down where she comes from. She seems to really look down on those who choose to live a more simple life. It’s one thing to want more from life & to succeed, but is it really necessary to degrade your beginnings in the process?
Happy Birthday TexasTart
