Brandi Glanville Talks about Enjoying Being Choked during Sex by NMD
Does everyone know that Brandi Glanville’s second book – Drinking and Dating – is out for pre-order? I’m sure we’re all rushing to reserve our copy. Brandi doesn’t want the book to be all about her – because that would make her look like a whore. Her word, not mine. I can not stand that word, even when a woman uses it as a semi-joke in self-depreciating humor. In the first look for Monday’s episode – now available on Bravotv.com – Brandi is shown interviewing four of her closest friends about what turns them on during sex. The other first looks show Joyce working with a stylist to pick out clothes for the upcoming trip to Palm Springs. Check. Liked that scene. And another one showed Kim with her daughter in a travel store checking out the various items. Her daughter thinks the vibrating toothbrush in a travel form looks like a vibrator, you know, the type in Kim’s bedside drawer. Then they toss around some luggage to see how light it is to the chagrin of the store employee. Check. Liked that scene. Now back to Brandi.
This scene is a little like the sex talk on Real Housewives of Atlanta. You know – when Kandi was launching her sex toy line and they discussed a whole lot of topics that I had never heard discussed before on housewives. I don’t consider myself a prude, but it’s not the sort of discussion I’ve ever had with girlfriends. At the same time I don’t see anything really wrong with it, and fully understand Brandi needs to do this sort of thing to promote her book.
But – then – once again Brandi goes for the shock value. She concludes by telling her girlfriends that she likes to finish off sex by asking the man to choke her. Completely choking her – until she almost passes out. Great information to share. I’m heading over to amazon to pre-order that book and learn more. That was sarcasm, in case you didn’t catch it. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell when you can’t hear my voice.
So let’s sum up this week. We’ve got:
1) Brandi talking about using cocaine on camera
2) Brandi talking about liking to be choked during sex on camera
3) Brandi apologizing for being drunk, making inappropriate jokes, and being a bit$h on camera
And there is more to come. The first look ends in Palm Springs, with a slurring Brandi telling Joyce she doesn’t like her name because it belongs to a “fat pig.” Lisa is laughing. Yolanda is grooming Brandi’s hair and cooing at her. Joyce must feel like she’s in never never land. Kyle is the only one behaving like a decent human being.
I can’t tell how much of this is Brandi really falling apart and how much is for shock value. I am going to try to watch the show on Monday, to see what the heck she ends up doing. I guess I can’t peel my eyes away from a good train wreck.
Boston wants to send Brandi a thank you. I’m assuming Boston is so busy with finals she thought the transcription of the video was a letter. Good luck with finals Boston and anyone else finishing up their school term!
Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow and Housewives Producers Team up for a New Reality Show by NMD
E! has greenlighted an 8-episode new reality series starring Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow. The two househusbands starred on the California versions of Real Housewives – Paul is the long suffering ex-husband of RHO Beverly Hills Housewife Adrienne Maloof , and Terry is the onion-ring loving husband of RHof Orange County Heather Dubrow.
The show is called Botched, and will focus on the two plastic surgeon “fixing” surgeries gone wrong. I won’t be tuning in. No offense to either Paul or Terry but I can’t even change a band-aid without feeling faint so this is not the show for me.
Paul has a long history with reality shows. In addition with RHOBH, he’s credited with:
- Plastic Surgery Before and After (2002)
- Addicted to Plastic Surgery (2004)
- Dr. 90210 (2006)
Terry is no stranger to reality show himself. His credits include:
- The Swan (2004)
- Bridalplasty (2010)
Three of the four executive producers, Alex Baskin, Douglas Moss and Greg Stewart have a long history with Bravo productions. They produced several episodes RHOBH, including the “Dinner party from Hell” and producer’s cut of the same episode. Remember – first the episode demonized Camille, and then the producers cut showed Kyle and Faye laughing about Camille’s porn past – showing us that indeed there are two sides to every housewife story – and the editing does make a difference. They are also credited with Vanderpump Rules and the 100th episode of Real Housewives of Orange County.
Brandi Podcast 4 by Kit9
Starts with chat with producer Art Webb. Brandi says she wants to do a show drunk. Says her ‘demon’ is white wine. Claims she can drink 5 vodkas and be fine but one glass of white wine gets her wasted (so, when we see her stumbling drunk it’s not because she’s a lush it’s because she’s had one widdle glass of wine! So, don’t judge, people!) Hates sound of her own voice. Pimps youtube channel of someone named Bart Baker. He does parody videos and she says he’s very mean but hilarious. Talks about Andy stepping down at Bravo. Webb asks if it’s weird that his dad is hot for her. Brandi says as long as the man is unattainable and the wife doesn’t mind, she’ll be flirtations with older men (Um, note to oblivious Brandi….Andy’s mom hates you). Talk turns to giving money to panhandlers and Brandi says she’ll give money to people with signs asking for liquor money. And, no, she wasn’t joking.
1st guest..model Adrienne Janic. Adrienne says she’s so proud of Brandi (for?). They’ve known each other for 20 years and met in Japan as young models. Twitter question asks AJ’s impression of Brandi when they first met and she says she was very intimidated by her and Brandi admits she wasn’t very nice to Adrienne. Apparently Brandi and Emma Heming (current Mrs. Bruce Willis) were one type of model and Adrienne another. Brandi was a runway/body model and Adrienne a print model or a ‘pretty’ model Brandi says. She was also a nerdy good girl who Brandi tried to go out partying which Brandi did a lot.
Brandi made out with many foreign men and claims to have had a relationship with a French guy who didn’t speak a word of English and she spoke no French (I think Brandi is using the word ‘relationship’ liberally and what she really means is f*ck buddy). Says said French guy recently hit her up on FB. Other pressing Twitter questions are addressed…like waxing. Much talk of vaginas follows with Brandi calling their talk the ‘vagina monologues’. AJ prefers laser hair removal and Brandi has someone else wax her. Brandi asks if Adrienne bends over in front of a mirror to look for hairs.
Brandi wants to talk pop culture. First issue is Miley. Brandi is worried for her and thinks she’s ‘way too thin’. Brandi says she used to love pot when she was younger but disapproves of Miley smoking it on tv (lady of restraint Brandi Glanville has standards, ya’ll!). Brandi has also smoked hash. Talk turns to Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman. Brandi claims they are now close. Brandi says she’s afraid of Scientolgists and thinks Scientology is bs. Claims Stacy Keibler was ‘all over her Twitter’ at some point. Thinks celebrities shouldn’t be on Twitter so they have an air of mystery about them. Cops to being a hypocrite on this because she is a Twitter whore.
Second guest: chef CJ Jacobson. Brandi thinks truffles are overused and ‘menu whores’. Brandi claims to have inside gossip about Top Chef and says that Padma and Tom hate each other. CJ says he never had sex during the show and didn’t even masturbate (Ok, glad that got cleared up). He’s very tall and a former volleyball player-6’8″. Brandi, of course, wants to know if his top half matches the bottom (ahh, just when I thought she would make it thru a show without being raunchy!) and he let’s her know his di*k is just fine. Back to food and Brandi says she doesn’t love cilantro. Cilantro breaths sigh of relief.

Nene Leakes – Sick of the Kenya and Apollo Situation – Nov 25
I then mosey on over to find Kenya in a surprising living situation. Given the fact that she claims to be so fabulous, it was quite shocking to see her in a less than fabulous hotel. I’m not Kenya’s friend, but I am trying to get to know her, so I wanted to reach out to her to help her with looking for a home, because Atlanta is my city. I took Kenya to one of the finest, most exclusive penthouses in Atlanta, but I know when a girl can’t afford something, so I joked and we exited the building because I clearly had taken her out of her price range!
I don’t think what you showed her was even in YOUR price range, Nene. Kenya pointed out that you rented as well.
Porsha’s Lunch: This situation with Porshaand Kordell has totally gotten out of hand! I hate when a couple breaks up and they just sling dirt on each other. When we met Porsha, she claimed to be living a fabulous, loving life with Kordell and now it’s all a lie. I’m not involved in their relationship, but I can say it’s sad to hear all the negativity. This is for you, Porsha: If you are so done with Kordell, be done with his last name as well. You guys don’t have children together, so why hold on to something that was negative for you?
Well, you were not so positive about Greg when you were breaking up with him. I think Porsha talking about her marriage and recounting the reasons to let it go is part of her therapy. She needs to talk her issues through and most of the time, it is bad memories and negativity.
Phaedra, Kenya, and Apollo: Am I the only one that is sick of hearing about this situation? I don’t know what happened with Kenya and Apollo, but clearly they both were out of line! As women we have to learn to respect the space of other women when it comes down to men and relationships. And for men, everything that looks good to you ain’t good for you!
We are all sick of the situation. There are three people making a big deal out of nothing.
Kenya Moore “Apollo is a Liar” – Nov 25
WHEN LIES GO LEFT
Lie #1: I offered fellatio to Apollo.
Lie #2: I initiated the texts.
Lie #3: I saw Apollo in LA
Lie #4: Everything that comes out of either of Phaedra or Apollo’s mouths.
Let’s get into shall we?
No we shall not. I think you said everything you need to. There is nothing to this story but what you made it. It has been how many episodes already? Let’s drop it.
I can call foul and say NeNe was throwing shade in her interviews about my living arrangements. The truth is I was at the Georgian Terrace, which is a 4 star hotel with valet parking in a 2 BR 2 BA suite while the other side of hotel was being renovated. It may have looked like an apartment of some kind, but I can assure you it was not. The juxtaposition of the two places was funny, and I’ll take this one to the chin. But no one should try to count my money, especially when one has never owned a home of their own.
Burn! Has Nene never owned a home of her own? I think Nene was just poking fun of Kenya saying she sold a lot of fitness videos that she should be able to buy herself a first class house.
Love or hate me, like or dislike me, laugh at me or cry with me, I have always shown you who I really am. I make no apologies for my quirky sense of humor, my personal challenges, my embarrassing moments, my messiness, and deep personal issues I’ve shared with the world. I have kept it 100% real… Real crazy at times, but always real.
Yup it’s been crazy alright.
Cynthia’s Parenting Advice – Dec 1
My mother was on her own to figure things out for herself. Her job was to work and take care of us. I have no memory of a lot of hugging and kissing. Like with her own mother, there was no real mother-daughter communication, and outside of keeping a roof over my head and food on my plate, my mother didn’t have the time or energy to focus on my day to day. There was no talk about the birds and the bees. There was no driving me back and forth to school or asking me how my day was. The talk was: Do good in school and don’t get pregnant. Period! There was no in between, and I did what I was told and didn’t question any of it. I also did what every other fast butt girl my age did — I would sneak around behind my mothers back. I often found myself in harms way, and in situations that I had no business being in. I was young and ignorant to the ways of the world, and to people who would not think twice about hurting me. When I look back on my teen years, I believe had my mother had time to talk to me, explain things to me, and show me things, it would have taken all the sensationalism out of sneaking around trying to learn things for myself. I cannot afford to make the same mistake with Noelle.
I think all children sneak behind their mothers’ backs every once in a while to test their independence. It is great that Cynthia has good communication with Noelle and feels comfortable explaining the world to her.
Kandi: I Do Speak My Mind to My Mother – Dec 1
Well tonight’s episode was a little hard to watch. So many of you tweet about how you think I should deal with my mom. I love my mom, and I will always give her the utmost respect. I know she can be a little tough, but I believe she really does want the best for me even if I don’t like the way she goes about it. I’ve told her a million times that I’m not getting married without a pre-nup. Todd and I already agreed that we were doing one, but I don’t know why she feels like she has to be the one he negotiates it with. Todd did his best to not be disrespectful to my mom no matter what she said to him, which I’m thankful for, but he is more than a little tired of the drama though…
Could you at least point out to your mom that Todd has a job and doesn’t have a bunch of kids with different mothers (at least that she knows of) that could take more dollars away from the Kandi bank? I think Mama Joyce’s problem is not Todd but her own problems with men. It is great that Kandi and Todd agree to a prenup and it is up to them to work out the details.
Everyone says stand up to your mama and blah, blah, blah, but believe it or not I do speak my mind to my mother. I just don’t say it in some crazy disrespectful way, because she is my mother. So to everyone who is screaming at me through the TV screen to “do something about my mom,” I’m not sure exactly what you expect me to do. I can only say how I feel, and if she doesn’t listen to me, then what? I don’t agree with my friend Carmon on how she said she would handle it if it were her mom. I don’t believe in cutting off your relationship with your mom. So for now I’m just hoping that over time things will work out for the best.
I wonder if this is the first time Mama Joyce acted this way or if she has acted this way before with Kandi’s other relationships. Is the reason why Kandi has not found a relationship because Mama Joyce has always found the weakness and exploited it? Mama Joyce seemed to be going overboard with her act though especially when she attacks Carmon who she has known and had a good relationship in the past during the next episode. I hope there are no health issues with Mama Joyce.
Nene: Not Seeing Eye to Eye with Cynthia – Dec 2
Grocery shopping with Cynthia was fun. I ate just as much as I purchased, LOL! Going into the grocery store is dangerous for me.
How do you get your food? Send Gregg out?
We discussed Cynthia’s thirteen-year-old daughter dating. I am pretty cool as a mom I think! I also know that there is no handbook on how to raise a child. For me it’s one of the hardest jobs one could have! I love Cynthia, but on this one we won’t see eye to eye. I love the fact that Cynthia wants to have the lines of communication open with her daughter, but in my opinion there comes a time when you have to be a parent. Everything your teen wants isn’t always good for them! At the same time, you have to do what works for you and your household.
I have observed children with strict parents and these children wind up being good liars able to cover up their misdeeds much better than children with parents who are not as strict. I agree with Cynthia keeping the lines of communication open with her daughter. At least her daughter doesn’t fear going to Cynthia with any of her problems and insecurities.
