Real Housewives of Atlanta – Has it Gone Too Far?

Real Housewives of Atlanta – Has it Gone Too Far? by NMD

Phaedra is having an identity crisis.  She thinks Aiden is a prince, and calls her younger son Mr. President.  She’s enlisted the help of Dwight to throw an inaugural ball for the little one – that is half Presidential and half Royal.  Because everyone knows Phaedra’s storyline is throwing fancy parties.  Of course it’s difficult to watch this without wondering what Apollo is doing off-camera – allegedly.

Cynthia is glad that she and Peter share a workspace so that she can “download” gossip any time she needs to.  Today they chat about Kandi saying she knew sketchy things about Peter’s past that she hasn’t shared with Cynthia.  Peter is never one to back away from a challenge, so his chest puffs up and he says bring it on in a manly voice.

Kenya has given up on finding a husband – even though she claims to be dating someone.  Her fake storyline is that she’s trying to get pregnant.  Unfortunately, she gets the news that at 47 her eggs are diminished.  The doctor seems sincere as she goes over the options for Kenya.  For some reason, Kenya seems to think that a visit to a sperm donor bank is in order – because she was just told that her eggs were probably too old to produce a baby.  I’d be confused if I believed any of this is real – but since I don’t – meh.

Next she takes Miss Laurence with her to a sperm bank.  They start in on their lines when a hot man walks in and distracts them, and tries to sell Kenya on using his sperm.  Run hot man, run.  Hey – sperm costs $475 per sample.  I thought you couldn’t sell human parts – or is that a Canadian thing.  The people at the sperm bank know this is just for the cameras, and can barely keep a straight face as she lists off what she’d like in a donor. Instead, they give her essays to read and she nixes a candidate for poor grammar.   Then we get a tour of the place, including a look through the microscope at sperm.  A plus for originality.  C minus for acting.

Kandi is meeting with her A-Team – Todd and Don Juan – to discuss the play.  She still wants Porsha in the production – because you need another housewife to get maximum camera time.  Don Juan isn’t convinced.  Then someone brings up Chris Williams.  This gives Kandi an opening to tell Todd that Natalie called him an opportunist (like she didn’t tell him that the night she got home.)  It’s hard to take any of this seriously because Todd is sitting in an oversized hot pink chair as they are having this conversation, while Kandi is behind her desk acting very Donald Trumpish.  Goodness those chairs are pink.

It’s inauguration time and only Kandi has shown up for the event – solo.  Unfortunately that means she has to spend some time with Dwight, who asks to see her ring and then makes a sour face.  I am so over these superficial fools.  It’s a ring.  She loves it.  Get over it.  The dance is a 2-step “flash mob”.  Apollo refuses to take part in the nonsense, so Phaedra has to dance with Dwight, who drops her.  Apollo doesn’t seem to understand that he’s got a microphone on, because every chance he gets he whispers complaints under his breath to Phaedra.  Phaedra just ignores him.  Then he refuses to make a toast, so she says -“for once Apollo is at a loss for words and I’m grateful.”  If they were miserable before, I can’t imagine what is going on now that he’s been charged with fraud and identity theft.  I guess they need to stay married so that they can’t testify against each other.

NeNe is throwing a “pillow talk” party for couples – although Porsha is there with her sister, and Lexi and Malorie are there solo.  NeNe’s invited Chuck and Monique and Chris and Natalie as well.  NeNe – who is usually quite prudish, has hired two scantily clad servers and is wearing a skimpy nighty. She prances around talking a mile a minute and mentions some of Kandi’s toys.  Kandi interviews that NeNe seems “geeked” up – which I believe means high.  She does seem off.

All is going sort of well – except that Kenya (miss I’m always on time) is late and Chris and Natalie are giving Kandi the stare down.  Chuck and Monique are there as well, and apparently this is let’s get awkward night, because the game is to pull a question from a stack of cards and answer it.  Guess what?  “Are you comfortable being around someone who has slept with your partner” is one of the first cards drawn, and Kandi just shakes her head.

Q for Porsha – “would you be comfortable if your partner was bisexual.”  At this point, everyone knows NeNe is stirring the pot.

One hour into the event, Kenya and Brandon show up.  NeNe slams the door in her face and starts yelling at her in front of everyone.  (Clue one that something has been planned).

Q – “would you judge your husband if he looked at another woman.”  Porsha – I wouldn’t want my husband to go to a strip club.  Peter jumps in and says he goes to strip clubs, and sees Apollo and Todd at strip clubs.  Peter claims he looks but doesn’t touch, and Kandi says she’s seen women on his lap and doesn’t feel like covering up his lies.  Cynthia is steaming.

Then all of a sudden Apollo jumps up and talks about how he was in a bad place when he got out of prison and spent every day in strip clubs.  He’s all excited and talking really fast, and says he has the right to go to strip clubs and spend 3 or 4 thousand dollars of his own (allegedly stolen) money.  He points to Phaedra and says it’s not her money.  So where is he getting this money when he’s right out of prison.  Oh wait – I think I know.  Allegedly.  Of course everyone has a problem with what he’s saying and begins to talk all at once with NeNe talking about hookers and blow jobs in strip clubs and says he should spend the money on his kids.  But she’s proud of working in a strip club.

Natalie says Chris doesn’t have to go to strip clubs because she dances for him.  Next Natalie brings up the “common law” wife thing and gets her finger all wagging as Chris tries to say that they’ve already talked about this.  (Clue two that something has been planned.) Forced into a confrontation by Natalie, Chris walks over to Kenya to confront her.  You can tell he’s psyching himself up for this.  He starts to confront her, saying he doesn’t know what medications she’s on.  She says – same as you, Chris.  (She says to Brandon – “I thought we already talked about this.)  Kenya stands up and starts to walk (not lunge but slowly walk) towards Natalie saying something like she’s not back peddling on what she said.  That’s when Chris grabs her arm as if he wants her to confront him and not Natalie.  Up until that point things have been very calm – in other words – the fight did not start because she stood up – it started when he grabbed her arm.    As Chris grabs Kenya,  Brandon gets up to get between them and defend her.

real-housewives-of-atlanta-season-6-pillow-talk-tussle

Then all of  a sudden people are holding Brandon back – mainly Peter and Apollo, but Apollo is punching – really punching –  Brandon, who is being held down on the couch by Peter.  The crew and the rest of the men break them up.  Brandon is in shock.  He’s asking what happened in a dazed voice.  (I think the poor guy is an actor and friend of Kenya’s and wasn’t expecting a real fight.)  Chris is sort of calm, but Natalie turns around and starts to tell Brandon that it’s all his “friend’s” fault for what she said about her marriage to Chris in the vineyard.  Natalie is a nut job IMHO.

(see detailed break down of the fight below)

Then NeNe starts to yell at Kenya and says it’s all her fault for standing up (Clue three that something was planned by Kenya went “off script.”).  Sorry, but it’s NeNe’s fault for setting this up and lighting the fuse with her questions.  But I’m still confused about why Apollo got into it.  It’s like all his frustration against Kenya boiled over in roid-rage (allegedly) and he went into a bad place.  Were charges filed?

Nene of course tried to take absolutely no responsibility:

But you can always count on Peter for a few tweets:

Previews show Brandon explaining that his rib was broken and that’s an automatic felony.   They also show the fight continuing.  After Apollo takes off his mic he shrugs off all the men holding him back and it looks like he’s going to take another swing at someone.  Todd and Kandi are fighting, and Kandi is yelling at Cynthia.  What the heck is wrong with all of them?  Did NeNe slip something into their drinks?  Why were the men on WWHL last week??? I would not want to be around Apollo.  Ever.  Scary stuff.

____

Detailed breakdown from Pghemtchick:

Rewatched observations: play by play
*notation 1: Kenya appears to be on the floor on like a bean bag. She is significantly lower than those on the couch.

1. Apollo is jazzed up due to the strip club.
2. When Nene brings up Chris and relationships he puts his head down and scratches his head.
3. He then gets up to avoid being next to the GF.
4. Nene says “you leaving” he says no
5. Porsha gets up and says what sounds like Sir and “you must take your seat please” his woman says no he’s going to stand for this then Porsha smiles at Kenya.
6. Med comment made.
7. Gf says don’t back up now, Kenya gets up walks over saying she’s not backing up it’s front peddling. As she passed Chris he turns and grabs her under the elbow and pulls her back.
8. As she turns to say something Brandon gets up and as Kenya pulls away he pushes Chris’s hands off her saying not to touch her. Chris then grabs the friends arm restraining it and saying “Don’t you ever put your hands on me”. Peter gets up to separate them.
9. Peter breaks them apart. When Chris’s hold is broken on Brandon he does that lunge thing at him. Peter pushes him back trying to restrain him.
10. Apollo gets up and shoves Brandon down by the neck. He then starts punching Brandon (body punches to the body). Peter joins in like a little bitch and starts choking Brandon while Apollo beats him and Kenya and Phaedra try to pull Apollo off.
11. Greg and Todd take Chris out while other dude (white shirt chills).
12. Production steps in to hold back Kenya (she was pulled off Apollo’s shirt by production dude)in the corner and to hold back Brandon from going after Apollo when he finally leaves the room.
13. Production is holding Apollo aside. Kenya goes to look for Brandon.
14. Nene goes after Kenya.
*closed captioning put on now*
15. Interesting scene w/Apollo and Phea. His excuse is “Man that mother f**cker hit me in my mother f$$ckin eye”. (Great now I need to rewatch)
16. Producers let Apollo back in the main room.

Previews:
Peter tells Todd ” you know the rules” Todd said “what rules”.

Watch What Happens Live with Cynthia

Andy asks Cynthia if she’s talked to Phaedra since the charges were filed.  No – she hasn’t, but Peter has talked to Apollo and they think everything will be all right.

As for the fight – Cynthia apologizes on behalf of the entire cast.  She thinks Kenya “started it” because they were all upset about the questions, but when Kenya got up then Brandon got up and then everyone else was standing and things got out of control.  She also said that Peter wasn’t part of the fight, he was trying to hold Brandon back and didn’t realize Apollo was fighting until it was too late.

Andy asks if NeNe was an instigator.  Cynthia starts off almost saying something about how it was shown (versus what really happened) but then backs up and says that the purpose of the party was to put everything on the table to move past things, and things were going fine until the fight started.

(Of course Cynthia is NeNe’s best friend and will see things the way NeNe sees them – so it makes sense that she’d answer like that.)

Good morning everyone. Bottom lip Monday. Wr shall survive. The temp on my car said 43 degrees. It feels like 23. Cone on Spring. Have a great day.

    • Donna says:

      8° wind chill -10°

      • HuskerHuny says:

It’s a big zero here with wind chills in the minus 20s. Fortunately the winds have decreased since yesterday where they were in the 50-60 mph range. One of my trash cans kept falling over and after picking it up three different times, I gave up. Told my son not to take anymore garbage out and to not put our garbage cans out on the curb for pick-up this morning. Yikes! It’s going to be in the 30s come Wednesday. Strange winter – heavy winds, cold temps but no snow.

    • Be safe and warm PowellyPoo! Here in Chicago we will be down -10… with wind feel -40 I wish I could go to Alaska to have a heat wave! Lol!

    • Just Wondering In Jersey says:

It’s 41 here and it feels like a veritable heat wave. I was finally able to go out, move some snow around and see if my car would start. It did!

    • LaineyLainey says:

49 degrees here. I have Mondays off now…budget cuts, benefits cut,…so now I have Mondays off. Making the most of it and going to a movie today. Gonna go watch Dallas Buyers Club.

  2. Powell says:

Oops. Listening to the radio on the way to work the talk was about Apollo and Phaedra. Did ya’ll know she was.getting a spin-off called “Other People’s Money”? I didn’t.

  3. ladebra says:

Happy Monday Powell! I do not want to go to work, lol. I need to get over this! I love what I do, so I really need to get past this aversion! Thank you for the blog NMD. I watched last night, just smh. I think production was all over this – setting it up with Nene and the others and I really think Kenya went off the reservation, causing Brandon to jump up to play defender – and then everyone went crazy. And Nene was on her last nerve from the beginning.

I saw this on twitter but I haven’t been able to open the link cause my silly wifi has decided not to go to work this morning either! But it looks interesting. You can tell it’s almost time for NY …

    • 2Stupid says:

I was just about to post that. Now I am really bummed. I was pulling for Ramona and Mario. I don’t think I am going to watch NY now. I mean if I want to watch miserale couples, I can do that in real life. None of this seems to be fun anymore.

    • ladebra says:

Omg, I got it to open. Wth? Is this right? They are separated?

Oh, and maybe Apollo’s money comes from not only his asset recovery, but his HW money? Do husbands get paid? They are all over ATL so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do. Just a thought

    • Lulu Team T-Rex!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

Its always the ones that try to keep “appearances” that have the worst problems. They will end up on couple’s therapy IMHO!!!

    • Powell says:

Ladebra you me and a whole bunch of people

    • Powell says:

Ladebra you me and a whole bunch of people
don’t want to go to work today. It’s Monday’. We should only work Tues thru Fri. 🙂
I’ll have to check out the link later. It must’ve been really heated to call the police.

  4. Jill...no not THAT Jill -Team T-Rex says:

    This sounds weird…

    http://pagesix.com/2014/01/27/cops-called-over-ramona-singer-and-hubbys-spat/

Any guesses n who the SOURCE is….

    • ladebra says:

      LOL

    • For those of you that can’t read links it says that Ramona and Mario have been separated for a while and she’s kicked him out of their Manhattan apartment. He was allowed in the Southhampton home, but he was there with his girlfriend when she arrived this weekend and they got into a fight. Cops were called, stores changed, she offered the cops wine, and everything settled down.

It also says she’s dating a young guy now.

      • shamrockblonde says:

oh no!! – that’s a shame – hope that Avery is ok –

        • Maybe they stayed together until Avery graduated (did she graduate in 2013?) I always thought she was one of the more normal kids amongst these crazies!

          • chismosa™ says:

            That’s my thinking.

The way she brought up her daughter (which I love) – and saying women need to be independent of men financially, etc., she has to be one to want to leave Mario after this disgusting thing.

Is his woman PREGNANT is what I want to know.

            JZ???? Thoughts….?

      • Oh, No! I can’t get out of my head the beautiful vows Mario did to Ramona at the end of Season 3….

        • LaineyLainey says:

Those vow renewals always make me look sideways at a couple. Why the public display?? Who’s it for? What’s it for? Why is your commitment in question? I think it’s weird. In May it will be 30 years for us…maybe well do a renewal….no just kidding. Haha!! Maybe a party!

      • Powell says:

        Oy Vey! Egats!

  5. plainviewsue says:

I feel sad about Ramona and Mario. Even tho I cannot imagine living with her (!), I thought they did truly have a good marriage. I guess the fortune teller was right.

    • Mario always had a wondering eye… so Italian! Lol!

    • I Need A Life! says:

      Great memory, Sue. Good observation.

    • Powell says:

And they renewed their vows on tv. Oucch.

    • T-Rex says:

I have always thought that the fake “renewal” ceremony was a CROCK, personally, I think they were having problems way back then! I believe if you look back there was some insinuations at that time that Mario had already been seeking “support” elsewhere. Unfortunately I think Mario and Ramona are like a lot of Empty-nester parents, they stayed together for the sake of their child, but once the child is now an adult and off to start their own life, they become free to move on with their life. To me, it didn’t seem like Mario and Ramona spent a lot of time together, and as a long time married person here, you have to WORK on your relationship to keep it going. Ramona worked more on the Partying, Hwives show, and getting famous than worked on her marriage, IMO. Sad for them though

      • chismosa™ says:

As true as any of that may be it makes my blood absolutely BOIL that the one gross witch that had to say that these things were being whispered about is the grotesque redhead from Long Island.
I wish she would get her due.

        #karmaneverhappens😡

        • Powell says:

Yes Chismosa. The Redhead and her Mr. Moneybags will be together for ever cuz no one else can put up w/her. Plus he’s got way too much invested in her. When the wealthy are getting divorced and you hear the husband has put his foot down about a settlement I always say give the wife what she wants. He can make the money back but Moneybags doesn’t have enough time to make back what the Redhead has spent. 🙂

    • LaineyLainey says:

      Mmm hmmm

      • vilzvet says:

Too bad. I’ve always liked her. When I was at her last wine signing last year, she mentioned that Mario and Avery were on their way to the store and they were going to drive together to their Hamptons home. They always just seemed like a good family unit.

  6. shamrockblonde says:

YAY!!!!!! I found my way home!!!!! ooohh sooo glad to be here!!! – Appolo is an asshat – his complaints at the “event” about wanting to eat, wanting to go talk to others was bad enough, but that fight was just assinine – maybe he was worried about his behavior at the strip clubs being revealed? no clue – he always sounds like he just sucked all the helium out of a balloon – and now the arrest for ID theft – maybe that was the $8000 he spends at the strip club – Kenya does not want a baby – she wants a story line – and NeeNee seemed very much to be on something last night – I am disappointed in Kandi though – she normally does not participate in the usual nonsense drama –

*hugs entire lynnfam board really hard* *a lot*

  7. I am so completely confused! I watched the episode last night and am re-watching today. The fight was so weird and what was Apollo doing getting involved? Did he have a beef with Brandon? I was at a loss. Since when is it every appropriate for a man to EVER put his hand on a woman? Chris (whether he is married or not) had NO right touching Kendra even though she is a hot mess.

Now, as a grown up, I have seen a couple of dumb men go at each other and it is usually provoked by too much beer (or moonshine). It didn’t look to me that the booze was flowing enough for this to happen.

  8. designernailsdiana says:

    Welcome back Shamrock 🍀
It’s so cold my car temp gauge said -WTF.
I’m sad about Ramona and Mario.
Could care less about any of the ATL housewives.
Happy Frozen Monday! 💎 that’s the only ice I want to see for the rest of this winter.

    • shamrockblonde says:

*hugs designernailsdiana really hard* Frozen Monday!!! too cute – makes me want to go see Frozen again! – it’s winter – I get that it should be cold but then I get cold when it drops below 75 soooo.. heehee – my daughter has seat warmers in her car – they are soooo wonderful!! a warm bum ladies will keep the rest of you cozy too!

    • vilzvet says:

Ditto to everything you’ve said. Gonna be 19 degrees tomorrow.

  9. T-Rex says:

So, I was thinking back to that whole TheLunatic and Bethenny spat about Bethenny not being supportive during Bobby’s Thyroid Cancer scare, and well since I have some knowledge now on the subject. One thing TheLunatic made a big ole point about, was that Bobby was cut from “ear to ear” and such. Well, that’s NOT how it’s done! The docs explained the incision is approximately 2 to 3 inches TOPS, they do this in the folds of your skin if possible so as to not show a visible scar later. I asked if they would do a larger incision, I have HUGE nodules and was worried they would need a bigger incision, and he said no, the thyroid is pretty small and the hardest part was peeling it off the para-thyroid, which is like peeling a grape, but that is directly in front. Once thyroid is removed, they have access to your lymph nodes should they need to cut any of them out for testing. The neato part is that they “glue” you back together, yep glue, no sutures, no staples, the co-workers wife here. that had hers done, you can’t even see and she has a hard time finding it, and she had hers done 4 years ago. I guess reading about the Ramona/Mario situation(which I personally think has been brewing since that stupid “renewal” ceremony) made me think back to the situation. Look I am not going to downplay the Cancer, it’s a BIG DEAL and I am glad that Bobby is cancer-free and everything, but TheLunatic made more of this then really goes on. Once the Thyroid is out, you are in the Hospital tops 3 days, then home, not weeks or all summer, etc. Then you do an Iodine treatment, which is drinking goop to make you full of radiation and pretty much radioactive for 5 days, but it’s done at home, never done at the hospital. Other than that, if it hasn’t spread, that’s pretty much the treatment. You may have to do more Iodine, most folks have to do this twice. That’s pretty much it, you only have to do other treatments if the Cancer has spread and in Bobby’s case it didn’t, he was very lucky and they caught his very early.

    • Team T-Rex all the way, Girl!

    • FYI, my brother had thyroid cancer. He had the surgery and has been cancer free for 5 years. His incision is only noticeable to those of us that know it is there. Keep your spirits up lady! You got this beat!

    • Jules says:

Please remember to sunscreen your neck so the scare fades to nothingness. I didn’t sunscreen my cuts from a surgery but my dad lathered the sunscreen on his one his neck and you can not see it. and his scar is from a different kind of surgery that cut downward not across. Sunscreen my people is the key.

    • Just Wondering In Jersey says:

T Rex I had a partial thyroidectomy more than 30 years ago and the one thing I remember was that for a few days after everything you eat makes you think you are eating broken glass. Otherwise its an easy recovery and they do a really good job of hiding the scar when you have a good surgeon.

Your attitude about this is your best medicine!

    • TexasTart says:

T-Rex – I have a friend that had thyroid cancer, I didn’t know him then, but he was treated and had it removed in his 20’s. He’s 65 now.

I’ve had surgery twice on my throat. One involved a 2-1/2″ long incision on my neck. The surgeon cut along a natural fold and I got traditional stitches. I can not see the scar and I doubt that many people notice it. After I got the all clear from the ENT, I religiously massaged in MEDERMA with SPF for a year. I would highly recommend this product and stay out of the sun early on.

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

T-Rex… Cancer messed w/ the wrong Dinosaur baby!! Continue to kick ARSE!!

    • LaineyLainey says:

So it turns out Jillzy exaggerated? Just a pinch.

    • Powell says:

Thank you for explaining the procedure T-Rex. I’m glad Bobby is ok too. You know Lunatic had to dramatize it. I know she was really worried about him but there was no need to go over the top on camera to make B feel bad or for added drama playing up to the viewers. You’re going to beat it too. You are too positive and uplifting of a person not to. #TeamT-Rex

  10. Thank you NMD for a great Blog! I didn’t understand why Brandon felt the need to defend Kenya…She can defend herself. I am very disappointed on Nene… what kind of a party was that to stir the pot … she REALLY does not have a storyline other than bring people from the past of Phaedra and Kandi… I was enjoying they getting along and having fun.

    • chismosa™ says:

I don’t see why the moment chris’ wife – I don’t know her name- bad hair- once she opened her mouth to Kenya (after nene prompted it, via earpiece and producers ?) — why did Chris SAUNTER over to the other side of the room?

The minute his “”””””wife”””””” said Kenya- BLAM he was up on his feet.
Bull$hit he was going to read his card. Nene was asking him if he was leaving AND Porsha asked him to take a seat. — odd!

    • kit9 says:

Nene was acting weird the whole night. Was she drunk? Trying to audition for a dramatic part? That fight was disgusting. Peter and Apollo are just straight up d-bags. Seriously, going to strip clubs regularly? Bragging about dropping thousands on a freaking strip club? BRAGGING about being a moron, really. Then there’s uber as*hole Chuck.

      • mm in oc says:

I really didn’t see Peter hit anyone, but was trying to restain him. I’m assuming since Peter owns bars that he needs to handle these issues with unruly patrons. I was actually shocked he was so spry! As much of a d-bag Peter can be, I’m giving him a pass this time.

        • Amber...Real Wife says:

I agree. Peter did try to intervene to diffuse the situation but at this time camera whore Brandon was as they say ‘amped up’ and putting on a show. He thought he was auditioning for the ‘Butch Judy’ role and assumed it was over. When he pushed on Peter, Apollo got involved. Apollo and Peter are great friends and w/ Peter being his friend and much older, Apollo was now defending Peter. EVERYONE WAS TO BLAME. NENE, CHRIS, KENYA, APOLLO.

    • LaineyLainey says:

I think Brandon stood up to defend Kenya because a man put his hands on Kenya…and yes, Kenya can defend herself verbally, but physically, maybe Brandon thought she was outmatched.

  11. Also during the questions, Apollo looks like he is napping…Kandi looks like she was sucking on a lemon…And I gotta say, Kenya is a beautiful girl…until she opens her mouth. And the fact that Peter is the only one that initially stood up to stop the fight is really sad. These men are all a bunch of morons. I am impressed that the production people stepped and helped to stop it. Kenya did not charge Natalie…Natalie called her out and she was walking around that guy to speak directly. (Does Nene have a large tattoo on the back of her neck?) Delusional!

    • chismosa™ says:

I agree. Why the blame on Kenya standing up. Everyone knows she just wants TO TWIRL and she’s not going to HIT someone.
      Ughhhhh

I counted about 6-7 different producers.
And one producer said to Apollo- “you can go!” At the end. When Apollo starts to strut back in like he’s at prison “fighting for his virginity” lol

      Team Kenya on this one.

  12. Pghemtchick says:

Thanks NMD and thanks for fixing my auto correct 🙂

  13. shamrockblonde says:

*hugs T-Rex really hard* I am so proud of you – I have kept you in my prayers even though I have not been here – never think that you are not in my heart – your strength and your courage are really humbling – you got this – and we are with you –

and we all know who the source is – as for Ramona – she is a fighter – she and Avery are close and that will comfort her when it gets too hard – as for Mario……..asshat………

  14. BB says:

Happy Belated Birthday to Jezzibel (didn’t see it was her birthday yesterday until this morning).

  15. BB says:

I posted this over on a facebook page talking about the Singers. This is how I feel about all the housewives shows right about now. Crazy. The housewives’ “reality” is much more interesting than the so-called “reality” Bravo shows us every week. Bravo takes a teen tiny issue, blows it way out of proportion, drags it out for a whole season, and calls that reality. Too bad they can’t show what’s really going on in some of these women’s lives, rather than these huge fights over some petty little slight perceived by someone.

  16. Liz says:

Ridiculous and née née stirred the pot but Bravo loves this as in a crazy world this constitutes as a dramatic series. I can nearly watch this anylonger , I thought these Atlanta women were classier than New Jersey: wrong!

  17. chismosa™ says:

    Thanks for the blogs NMD!

Does anyone think it’s odd that Watch What Happens had all the MEN of Atlanta last week, just 1 week before Apollo goes DOWN????

Or I guess they arranged it so that it would be before the big fight episodes.
That’s how WWH seems to do it. Have the “target” person on 1-2 weeks prior to their big episodes.
Makes me think YO’s “don’t touch me!”to Ken must be coming up soon since she’s on tonight

Have the person on WWH, then 1-2 weeks later is the episode with that ‘targeted’ person.

  18. chismosa™ says:

    VV 📡📡🔊📣📣–
The Bethenny repeats that are all week ( for only 1 hour)— are her talk show
    🙄
Gee thanks Andy! Bump up ratings before the important ratings measure month of February.

And the Omarosa episode is going to air which IMO does not show Beth in a good light. 😋😋 don’t understand that pick.
Basically it’s all Bravo people, i.e. her normal every day guests. Lol

    • PJ says:

I like Bethenny, I don’t love everything about her show but I think she does a good job with it, is a very good interviewer and works well with the audience. I think her show will go on and do very well. As for the Omarosa interview I think it showed Omarosa in a bad light as I think her purpose in coming on was to be a big B to Bethenny, I don’t see how it showed Bethenny in a bad light. I loved when Bethenny asked Omarosa what her brand was and Omarosa had no answer other than being smart, so funny. Plus the audience loves when Bethenny has all the Bravo people on–I mean this blog is mostly about Bravo people so why would Bethenny having them on be a problem? Bethenny does also have other people on besides Bravo people and the guests seem to really like her.

      • California35 says:

        I agree PJ 🙂

      • LaineyLainey says:

Hi PJ- I dvr Bethenny, sometimes I watch the whole thing, sometimes I don’t watch the whole thing. It’s about 70-30 in favor of watching the whole thing. My least favorite thing is when she has a panel arguing about whatever with each other and with the audience.

        • PJ says:

That’s my least favorite thing too–the panel discussions, I don’t watch those. But when Bethenny is in the audience interacting with them or interviewing she shines. I think there is a learning curve and that she will do very well.

        • California35 says:

Ditto on the pannel. I still qatch it buy find myself annoyed trying to hear what each says or to get their point. Frankly, i think she is annoyed by it also. She has to ralk louder to get te room back.

      • chismosa™ says:

My issue is why does EVERY single guest have to have a BRAND????

Can’t a guest come on for other reasons? Omarosa clearly for infamy.
And B had to write her a check which I loved.

    • VV™ says:

Not interested. If it had been reruns of early RHONY, I would watch.
      Thanks.

  19. shamrockblonde says:

I have never seen her show, but I did read that she had the cast of that show with all the rich kids on it and that the audience really turned on the kids saying basically that they were spoiled brats – I may not like her show, but I think I could like her audience…

    • chismosa™ says:

Yes that is what her show was I believe, swayed towards becoming more of —less about illustrious guests and more talk to the audience – have B talk from the audience instead of 1 on 1 on the couch, which I think she initially was going for.

Maybe they plant some people to be extra combative in the audience I don’t know.
I don’t know why they’re replaying the Omarosa one- O read B but maybe B never felt “read” – to quote Atlanta. Ha!
….anything to pump up February ratings IMO…..

  20. chismosa™ says:

    Just some other thoughts —

Did anyone think that phaKedra’s party for the baby (and what was that for- a christening? I still don’t understand)– was maybe filmed weeks LATER than the pillow -fight™®©? Why was only Kandi there? And Kandi’s hair, I should have analyzed it. PhaKe seemed to be on relatively good terms with some of the other girls around pillow time. I don’t know. …..
And daawight didn’t even wish Kandi congratulations or whatever the correct thing to say to the female is — unless it was cropped and edited to look like he didn’t say anything. Who doesn’t say that after spotting a ring ?

Ok a thought – maybe Kenya was instructed to come to the hotel last? Set up? Just like you said NMD- the slam the door at her. …
Like Jacqueline and germanMike on BH came late to the Sur dinner when they seem on time or early for every single other thing.
    I smell 👃👃production set-up.

I don’t think nene is proud to have been a stripper but is proud of the fact she made it on her own for her son before she met Greg (at said strip club right?)
I’m SO happy nene said what truly goes down at these clubs. Just lap dances my a$$. 👀

    • mm in oc says:

I think the strip clubs are different depending on what city/state you are in. Here in California, there is no place for those shananigans to go on. In fact, it’s a pretty well oiled machine. Not that I’ve worked there, but I’ve gone a few times for bdays with my guy friends. There are creepy guys that will literally buy a girl for a night so she will sit with him for hours. Also, who knows what goes on after hours outside the club.

I knew a stripper (she was too old to be stripping and worked the day shift) and she had creepy patrons taking her to lunch, buy her gifts. Not sure she actually did anything with them but there are some really dumb and really lonely guys out there that will do anything for a little attention. (PS. Said stripper also was on that show blind date; it didn’t go well).

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

I live in LandOLakes, Fl and nearby Tampa is known as the StripClubCapital. A few years ago they implemented the 6ft rule but i’m sure lap dances continue to this day. In my misspent heyday as a faghag, at an after party I once had the displeasure to sit next to strippers after they got off work. After a Q&A, I complimented her friend and this whore who was tweaked out her brain got up flashed me her boobs and bent over and showed me her bikini clad bottom. She smelled like pure dee scum. I said ‘oh you’re cute too’. She sits down then jumps up and starts pacing like NeNe, then they go to the back room and leave immediately. I asked a gay guy what were they doing there and he says they were buying drugs off a roommate. Check Please. I get up to leave immediately and when I check my seat I see the stripper had dropped 120 bucks. I give the twink 20 bucks and keep the 100. Funny that she flashed me and tipped me as well.

        • T-Rex says:

As I Live in Tampa, I have heard many stories of our local strip clubs, we are quite famous for them. When the RNC was here, they actually rented out RV’s fitted with Stripper poles so that the Republican delegates wouldn’t get caught going into any of the clubs. They have at least a dozen of these RV’s that still roll around town. I haven’t really been to the clubs but do have a co-worker that spent a fair amount of time and money in these places, and I asked once are they just stripping? He said NOPE, that most of them could be bought for more “extra-curricular” activities after their shift, and were encouraged to do so. I asked percentages of girls that could be bought for some “freelance” work and he said about 95%, he gave the 5% differential in case one of the strippers he didn’t actually ever see didn’t “freelance”. He has also been to clubs in other cities and most of these girls “freelance”. He doesn’t partake from these places any longer, then I asked how many he thought were on drugs, and again his response was he thought they were all pretty much on drugs.

          • Amber...Real Wife says:

Ya the drugs are pretty much a given. To grind on and be pawed by gross men you can’t not be drunk or high.

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

Great Blog. Point. Period. ( Apolloism 🙂 )

Last nights episode was an epic shitstorm. Dayummm. This franchise should be the RHoOtis because they love to escalate. NeNe, Chris, Kenya, Brandon and Apollo were all to blame. I give Peter a skip this time because he was actually trying to stop the fight. NeNe was tweaked up like hamster on crack, w/ the non-stop pacing, crazy eyes, over acting… she was just EXTRA EVERYTHING. Her line of questioning was meant to start arguments, however I don’t think she actually thought it would turn physical.

When Christopher stood up, it was for show, in order to properly read Kenya. I didn’t think it was overly aggressive as he was still a distance away from her and everyone who chose to answer questions like Cynthia and Porsha had also stood up to answer. Once Kenya started arguing w/ Natalie she got up and purposely marched past Christopher that he had to catch her before she made it to Natalie. While I believe Kenya wouldn’t touch his wife, he may not have known that and wanted to stop her. He grabbed her arm but maybe he could’ve jumped in between them instead. shrug. She now reacts and Brandon decided, lights camera action, sorry Ms.Jackson, to go for the limelight. He goes butch mode and pushes on Chris, Chris pushes back and Peter shoves Brandon back and Brandon shoves Peter in response. Apollo, Peter’s HWHBFF goes to protect Peter as his friend and because he’s older and shoves Brandon back. Brandon strikes out and hits Apollo and Apollo proceeds to beat the brakes off of Brandon while BigScardeyCatChuck hides behind Mynique’s nightgown. BTW Phaedra IS A LADY as she did not attack Kenya even though she was beating on Apollo. Phaedra was trying to get him off of Brandon while Kenya was doing double duty. You know if anyone were to hit Todd, right or wrong, Kandi would disembowel them.

The men were responsible for taking this to another level. While NeNe directly started this melee by putting forth the question, you know that Chris and Natalie came w/ an ax to grind and a confrontation was imminent. Kenya never wanting to NOT be the center of attention, couldn’t argue from across the room and wanted to have an ‘in your face’ argument for better camera angles and effect. These two are really battling for title of SupremeBitch on RHOA. Kenya is going for it but w/ Nene ‘home’ from Hollywood… she’s going to fight tooth and nail to hold her title.

        • LaineyLainey says:

Ooh,will we have to choose between Team Nene vs. Team Kenya?

          • Amber...Real Wife says:

LL…. I’ma choose NeNe. Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t. Kenya is all sorts of crazy and she annoys the living daylights outta me!!! I wish her and Brandi would get into it, of course Brandi would cry and run off but imagine if the wino loses it and hits Kenya? Christmas would come early as Kenya would devour her. Yep. I like to watch. My RealDad is a boxing afficionado and we always had the fight over at our house. He had a real love/hate relationship w/ BertSugar and LarryMerchant yet somehow loved DonKing waving the PuertoRican flag! LOL

OT Talking about Supreme, did anyone see AHS:Coven this season. It was fantastic!!! The finale is this Wednesday. Worth watching. I also did a marathon of “Orange is the New Black” and it was very good. Brief nudity and lesbionic activity is minimal. Can’t wait to see what happens next season.

What I saw of Apollo last night tells me that he very well could be a career criminal. The rage that I saw against someone that doesn’t seem to have done anything directly to him in that melee was so over the top. I thought he could kill him if they just let him go. These people are really the lowest of the low. That was insanity. And what a set up. Bravo wanted them to bring it and instigated that/staged it -hoping to have super drama but instead of the women it was the men who brought it. What a mess. Nene was ridiculous. Strutting around and mouthing off. What a train wreck. Wonder how Bravo’s number one rated HW’s show went over with fans last night?

    • LaineyLainey says:

Dang!!! All the characters I like are letting me down! First Brandi, then Yo, now Nene? C’mon ladies, what about meeeeeee!

    • lillybee says:

Last night’s fight made the battle of the Joe’s on NY look like a pre-school melee.

  23. California35 says:

Just saw a moment when Brandi says on her talking head “you can not win with this person” “you cant fight with crazy” hahaha that is funny.
The fist one is accurate and she wanted to fight or take Joyce down and didn’t expect her to win. The second one, is hilarious because in the whole Joyce and brandi stuff, SHE Brandi is the crazy one. It is also sad because she really believes she is the one who is right.

    • LaineyLainey says:

She can’t fight period, she either cries or breaks her hand. Neither of which spell victory.

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

ITA She talks a good game but the skank can’t back it up! All of this ‘i’ll cut you’ talk and when confronted w/ her misdeeds cries victim and gets into the fetal position. She probably started fights and had her friends do the fighting.

  24. California35 says:

Omg!! Brandi called Boddy “stupid”!!!??? She tells Sugar that she doesnt like him either.
    Ugh! Poor booboo 😦

    I had not seen this.

      So it’s the “edit”?

Even still Chris initiated physicality by grabbing Kenya’s arm even if to just restrain her. Seems Cynthia and Nene are on the same page re the question and Nene doesn’t address her provoking it. No shade at Apollo. Interesting to see the lines drawn.

      • mrs peabody says:

I haven’t seen the last 2 episodes as I was on vaca (as the Kardashian’s say) so really don’t know anymore than I read here (but will catch up on all tonight) but maybe no shade to Apollo due to the alleged report of some of the other househusbands being involved with his scam (even though I don’t think that is true).

  26. shamrockblonde says:

mrs. peabody that is what I thought – that maybe he was intent on other things not being mentioned at that moment – had nothing to do with the argument at the time, but he did not want him running his mouth about either his scams, or possibly something else shady – maybe even something with Ms. Twirl herself –

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

Bingo. I do think he initially reacted to a hit but when Brandon started kicking like a ROCKETTE, Apollo went postal. Brandon probably knows a lot about the texting and could have said some damaging things. Apollo was probably transferring his rage towards Kenya onto Brandon.

  27. I posted this yesterday but just in case some people missed it, Apollo’s last sentence is the best!!

    Apparently, there’s a contest as well. 1st place plate is $1000, 2nd $500, 3rd $250.
    The steps are:
    1. Go out to eat and snap a pic
(Irvine didn’t say this step so I’ll be using my home meals since every image shared counts toward their charity donation)
    2. Upload it to Instagram or Statigram
    3. Tag your pic w/ #sharemyplate. If you work for them you have to add #syscoemployee
    4. Describe the fish in the caption & tag the restaurant (I’ll be tagging #mykitchen lol)

    It runs to March 1st.

I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed Nene was on something last night. Idk that alcohol will make a person pace like that.

    • LaineyLainey says:

She does not look 47. Yes, the Apollo stuff if crrrrrrraaaaaaazzzzzy. I keep wondering, how could he?

  33. Anon says:

Oops I missed the new post and posted in the old one. Let me try again…

Ok for anyone who is confused or didn’t watch the brawl here’s the events that led up to the huge brawl.

This is after watching it a few times and just my opinions on the matter so don’t hate.

Nene had the ingenious idea to set up a “pillow talk” evening where all of the couples including some others, were invited to sit down and discuss “relationship topics.” Now if the questions maybe had stayed random, the evening could have maaaybe not blown up but it was clear that the questions Nene provided were meant to “stirr the pot.” It was very obvious by her attitude and comments she was a big instigator. I like her and all but this whole set up involving people who had issues to begin with was not a great idea. Especially with everyones confrontational pasts. If anything this became a situation where people were taking digs at one another.

So, everyone is talking and “discussing things” when Kenya showed up very late to the event without having the curtosy to contact Nene. This probably wouldn’t have been a huge issue if Kenya had not gone off at the women previously abouting showing up late to Nenes Savannah Trip. Clearly this pissed off Nene as she let Kenya have it. Granted, it was justified but caused more tension in the group.

As the evening progressed, many topics went down but one in particular addressing husbands going to the strip club created a huge issue in the group as various “opinions” were given. After some of the husbands admitted to going to strip clubs frequently, Chris chimed in about his poor upbringing and how he had issues with money being thrown away at strip clubs. His wife backed him up how she takes care of her man. Kenya then expressed her opinion that it would only be a problem if the men go frequently. Ok all valid opinions here.

But… here’s when it starts to go sour. Miss Nene takes the floor and in my opinion aggrevates the situation with a comment dirrected at Kenya who she was already pissed off at. She says and I quote,”Let me take the floor see, let’s keep it real up in here. When we was at the Winery Kenya, you had so much to say about Christopher and Natalie and we’re talking about relationships. We’re here to help each other so that we can be around each other and move forward so let’s please keep.it.all.the.way.real. *finger snap* …was that just a read? I think it was. Big mistake Nene as this clearly hit Chris the wrong way while his wife went on about Kenya and her “common law marriage” comment towards them thus Chris gets up.

Now weren’t the “rules” stating that everyone remain seated while they addressed each other. Porscha kindly asked Chris to sit down but he refused and started to “address” Kenya in a snooty manner. Whether it was deserved or not, he should have remained seated. Kenya then got up possibly heading towards his wife to discuss it when Chris grabbed her arm. She told him not to touch her with due right in my opinion and her friend Brandon got up to defend her, asking Chris to not put his hands on her either.

Ok, this all could have been resolved simply with an apology and for all of them to sit back down but…nope. Tension was already high when Peter interjected, forcefully shoving instead of lightly seperating the two men apart. Tempers flared and the two men went at each other, Peter shoving Brandon back as Apollo comes out of NO where, pushing Brandon onto one of the bean bags and proceeds to beat his ass to a pulp.

Now Peter claimed he was “holding Brandon down” by the throat I might add, expecting the other men to hold crazed Apollo back. .. (Yeah right). Instead, Brandon was held down trying to fight Apollo OFF while his frantic wife Phaedra and Kenya tried to pull Apollo off Brandon.

As the camera moves it shows “some” of the other men were busy trying to hold off Chris in which then the crew jumped in to grab Kenya most likely out of the way while they ripped off Apollo. Brandon was then retained off to the side although seemed more concerned about Kenya. Apollo was dragged off who is shown taking off his now torn shirt as his wife tries to calm him down and remind him He has kids and he can’t act like this although Apollo “claims” that Brandon hit him in the eye. Ummm yeah. .probably while he was pummelling Brandons ass.

Kenya is then shown wandering around frantically to see if Brandon is ok in which she is then backed up into a room by Nene who verbally assaults her ass. Nene yells that Kenya should not have gotten out of her seat, seemingly blaming her for what just transpired. Kenya somehow gets out that she cannot control animals aka Apollo.

Now while everyone is standing around scared sh*tless, Apollo now shirtless begins to walk back as Phaedra is trying to get him to leave with her. Ignoring his wife as usual, you see him charging back at Brandon, chest puffed and all with his wife screaming no along with everyone else.

Phew what a mess and according to next weeks clips, it ain’t over yet!

The whole thing was a mess but I’m sorry Nene was wrong. Kenya did not “charge” at Natalie and Nene failed to see her whole part in it. She had been instigating the whole thing from the beginning. If she really wanted the entire group to “Get along” she would have not asked certain questions nor made provoking comments.

Chris did infact get up First, breaking the rules. Yes Kenya has butted in places she shouldn’t have but that doesnt mean she should be expected to sit down while Chris was already on his feet coming at her verbally. He should not have grabbed her arm either unless she posed a physical threat to his wife in which she did not.

As fo Brandon, he had every right to stick up for his friend but the tension was way too high already and a big nothing turned into a huuge something.

Despite what Apollo claimed, he had no part in the situation as he’s seen calmly sitting down one minute then flying off the handle the next. He obviously has anger issues and there are some underlying issues here. Theres some story going around that he has beef with Kenya and Brandon over some stupid work out video. Yeah ok please, no reason to beat him along with shoving both Kenya and his WIFE for petes sake when they were just trying to stop him. What’s even worse is he’s on probation and that was all caught on camera.

I’ve searched and haven’t found anything yet, but I’m sure lawyers we’re involved afterwards. As for people’s alligations that this was all “staged” heh yeah right. Watch the fight. My eyes nearly fell out of my head. Such petty issues and violence between all of the housewives casts. Its really sad and pathetic and I’m sure or at least hope they’re embarrassed with their behavior on camera. I feel very bad for the way this is all going to affect their kids too

    • Orson says:

I dunno, Anon. There’s “staged”, “set up”, and then there’s “scripted”. It seems pretty clear to me that Nene deliberately set up an explosive situation with her questions. Kenya’s late entrance was pretty clearly a power play on K’s part to nab some attention for herself. And this really upset Nene because she had her own script in her mind and Kenya making her grand entrance probably wasn’t on Nene’s script. I’m reminded of Jillz’s script for her J vs Bethany feud that she didn’t let B in on and J refusing to listen to Alex the Peacemaker/Negotiator because J didn’t have her notes with her. But I digress.

I think the crew and SOME of the cast knew there was going to be a confrontation. I think it’s possible the crew told different cast members different things before taping to prime them for Drama. If that’s true, then I think things escalated a lot faster and farther than the producers expected. But there’s nothing like an assault and battery on tape for ratings, right? Remember how well it worked when the Brothers In Law on RHNJ got into it? Hell, it’s the same playbook.

      • Anon says:

True and good points. Nene seemed way nervous pacing back and forth so something was clearly up with her. I have no doubt some things were daid on purpose to provoke some altercations because drama makes good tv right?

But to think that this fight was completely staged would be severely messed up on the producers end. Some of the comments could have been put in purposely as digs to create drama for the show but I don’t think anyone anticipsted it escalating to this level or Apollo flying off the handle like that. That dude was crazed. Poor Brandon got a black eye and cracked rib along with god knows what else. Guess we’ll find out next week.

I am not an avid watcher of RHW new jersey but I have seen the violent brawl on there too between the two husbands and heard about the law suits.

To even think that they would script and stage these fights for ratings is disgusting. Those people are scum if they would stoop that low and even worse if the cast members agree to that! Their kids are going to see this and suffer the consequences of their moronic families.

Then again it’s reality tv so what did I expect.
