Joe and Teresa Giudice Set to Enter a Plea Deal in Federal Case by NMD
As the court date approaches, sources have told the NorthJersey.com that Joe and Teresa are ready to enter into a plea deal for their federal charges early next week.
“Teresa and Joe Giudice, stars of the Bravo network’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” have reached a plea agreement with prosecutors to resolve federal fraud charges in a deal that could send them to prison, a source familiar with the case said Friday.
The Montville couple will appear before U.S. District Judge Esther Salas in Newark on Tuesday to plead guilty to several mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges, the source said.
Teresa Giudice would face less than two years in prison and her husband a minimum of three years, under federal sentencing guidelines, the source said.”

The couple has not made an official statement, but the news isn’t surprising. Frankly, I’m glad they aren’t wasting more tax payer money going through a trial.
Southern Charm – A Preview
Bravo’s new show “Southern Charm” is advertised as going “behind the walls of Charleston, South Carolina’s most aristocratic families.” Already comments are popping up that the cast doesn’t truly represent old money Charleston, which makes sense to me because no self-respecting, old-money southerner is going to appear on a reality show. As a southerner, I’m curious to see how many stereotypes Bravo can fit into the show.
The previews show the men engaging in womanizing & a possible paternity scandal, so the show should bring some drama. I’ve found most of the cast on twitter. They’ve been pretty quiet so far, but we’ll see if anyone follows in Brandi’s footsteps. Here’s what I’ve uncovered about them so far:
Thomas Ravenel (Charleston, SC): @Thomasravenel
Thomas has the most impressive pedigree of the group: he attended the Citadel, comes from a well-known political family, earned an MBA, & was elected State Treasurer. His Bravo bio makes large of these accomplishments, but he’s actually better known for his federal indictment on cocaine charges in 2007. He pled guilty to one count of conspiracy with intent to distribute cocaine. He resigned as state Treasurer after only 6 months & spent 10 months in a federal prison. So he was actually in jail longer than he was state Treasurer. He was also arrested on DUI charges in the Hamptons last summer. The previews show him confronting his past, so we’ll see if he owns up to his bad behavior or glosses over it. Based on some of his twitter comments downplaying the indictment, I’m going with the later.
Cameran Eubanks (Anderson, SC):
You may recognize Cameran from Real World: San Diego in 2004. IMDb says that she was also on The Challenge & Girls Gone Wild. Maybe my least favorite RHoM hanger-on, Joe Francis, will make an appearance! She appears to be the perky sorority type to Craig Conover’s frat-boy jock. She “just entered the world of real estate after ten years working in the cosmetic industry.” I think I found her twitter page, but it’s completely private & she only has 95 followers. She’s going to have to get with the program & allow more followers if she wants to be a reality star! Based on previews, she & Jenna will be the voices of reason. However, some of her clichéd comments about life in the south are going to get old very quickly.
Whitney Sudler-Smith: @WSUDLERSMITH
Is it just me, or does Whitney look like Chuck Bass? Sorry, I’ve been re-visiting Gossip Girl lately. Whitney is a film-maker, who spent the last 17 years in Los Angeles. His most notable work is directing the film Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston. His mother is a socialite, so he may be one of the few who actually has some insight into true Charleston society. He lives with her in a historic downtown mansion. Hopefully we’ll get to see some of this house. “In his spare time, Sudler-Smith likes to read, play guitar, bend time, play tennis, and maintain his dungeon.” I read somewhere that he’s a classically trained guitarist.
Craig Conover (Fenwick Island, DE): @C_Conover
According to his Bravo bio, Craig’s dream of “playing baseball in college was shattered after he destroyed his elbow.” He’s now “law clerk to a prominent personal injury firm.” His LinkedIn profile says that he’s on the litigation team at the Anastopulos Law Firm & is slated to graduate from Charleston School of Law in 2014. I’d never heard of Charleston School of Law, so I checked it out & it’s unranked by US News & World Report. Makes me wonder if there’s a reason he ended up there instead of one of the prominent southeast law schools. The Anastopulos Law Firm also has an app. Call me old school, but I just can’t trust a law firm with flashy ads or an app. Craig was born & grew up in Delaware, so he isn’t actually from a Charleston aristocratic family. I’d like to see Craig & Phaedra do battle in court.
Jenna King (Sumter, SC): @jennaking5
She grew up in rural South Carolina, but has lived all over the world. Jenna is described as an “aspiring fashion designer,” who currently has a line of gloves. A line of gloves & a plan for sunglasses does not a designer make. She has a passion for animals, adventure & the outdoors. There isn’t much info on Jenna yet, but I predict that she’ll be the wild-card who doesn’t quite fit-in with this stereotypical crowd.
Shepard Rose (Hilton Head, SC): @ShepRose
“Shep” grew up in Hilton Head, but attended boarding school in Virginia and the University of Georgia. He says that the state dog, the Boykin spaniel, was named after his family. After graduation, he went to Palm Beach because “because his father thought he was spinning his wheels professionally.” He spent that time learning the resort development business and partying with “aristocrats.” When I didn’t have a set career path after college, I waited tables to pay the bills. Just sayin’. He attended the Owen School of Business in Nashville, but went “into a personal and professional tailspin” after the financial collapse of 2008. “Now, we find Rose rising from the ashes in Charleston, S.C. Older, wiser, kinder, gentler, and ready to tackle life’s curve balls.” I have to wonder who wrote this profile for him. It makes him sound like he’s never had to work for anything in his life.
Real Housewives of Atlanta Cast Blogs Blogged by RamonaCoaster
NeNe thinks that Marlo and Kenya are a perfect match…
So Nene mentioned on Twitter that Bravo edited her blog and to check out her full blog on her official website (neneleakesofficial.com). I checked it out and I can see now why Bravo would edit that out. There was a specific incident in Marlo’s past that Nene detailed. Bravo probably did not want any legal consequences regarding what Nene shared. I don’t want to get into any more detail here on this blog for the same reason. I am wondering if it is true but my skills as a sleuth are very poor but I know some of you are very good at these things and may have the accurate information already.
Here we go again! If you read my blogs, then you know I hate long, drawn out stuff. I don’t have time to touch on the BS, so let’s jump right in!
That’s just how I like it.
The Bailey Bowl: I love a good challenge, so when I was told to gather up a team and meet on a field for some fun and competition, I was there! We started off by having some good competitive fun. Then here comes the BS!
Look, there’s a lot I could say, but instead I’ll just say this: Kandi, you have never seen me walk away from a fight and you have never seen me physically fight either have you? My son was at this event, and as much as I would like to be Mama Joyce and take my shoe off and hit somebody or drag someone down the street, I would never stoop so low to the gutter with my son around, so you are right! I know how to respect myself enough to walk away from something that no longer serves me, helps me grow, or makes me happy. In life you have to pick your battles; everything isn’t worth fighting for or worth the emotional investment.
Slamming Mama Joyce, Nene? You must really be pissed. There is certainly an emotional investment somewhere. I don’t think Kandi sent out a challenge by mentioning she has never seen Nene walk away from a fight. It was just an observation. No one is asking you to stoop so low.
I never need to speak on the Marlo situation, because she’s not important and not a part of this cast, but I supported Marlo and helped her unselfishly when nobody wanted her around. I will repeat NOBODY! Some of these girls were uncomfortable with Marlo’s criminal background and didn’t want her around. I looked past that and really tried to see her heart. I was honest to a fault with her and a true, loyal friend. Say what you want, but there are rules to friendship! Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a loyal friend, and I expect the same in return. In friendship you have to give and take. If I give, that doesn’t mean all you get to do is take! A so-called friend that fraternizes with the enemy is an opportunist in my opinion. They smile in your face, but are looking to take your place.
I think you expect more loyalty than Marlo is willing to give. Marlo had a meltdown and you were right to walk away from that. I think Marlo has some issues she needs therapy for. I also think that there is more going on here than what we see.
At the Bailey Bowl Marlo showed me her street side that everyone talks about. Yes, you can put lip stick on a pig, but it’s still a pig! Do I care that Manlow and Krayonce are friends? Absolutely not! I think they are the perfect match! Marlo has officially graduated from hungry to thirsty. I’m sure Krayonce promised her a role in one of the multi-million dollar movies she produces. Kenyahas nothing but deceitful, evil intentions and Marlo fell for them! I want nothing to do with either of them. When I’m done with you, I’m done with you.
I think Kenya befriended Marlo because she knew it would set you off and it worked.
Thanks again for riding hard for me! I know this ride can get bumpy sometimes.
PS: If I had stayed and gotten into a fight, I would be wrong. If I walked away, I would be wrong. If I didn’t show up at all, I would be wrong. You can’t win!
I think you won by walking away. I just felt bad for the people riding home with you because you probably complained loudly the whole time.
I will. Thanks. (lol)
Kenya thinks NeNe is showing her true colors with her treatment of Marlo.
Happy Birthday, Peter! You wear 53 well. It was nice to see Cynthiaand Peter happy and smiling. I hope they can continue to work out their issues. I do not necessarily agree with Cynthia as to why she was upset with Peter for speaking to NeNeabout her behavior. We know Cynthia to be NeNe’s soldier and most loyal friend, therefore, Peter probably was so disgusted by NeNe’s behavior that he had to make sure he did what he thought was right fearing Cynthia wouldn’t address her.
I’m sure you loved that Peter scolded Nene. Your plan worked out better than you thought.
According to NeNe I bullied her to come to the ball! Aside from seasons prior to my debut on the show, I have personally witnessed NeNe’s acts of terrorism. I have never threatened anyone by being made to choose to be on my side or else suffer the consequences; I don’t use my status on the show or intimidation tactics to try to sabotage other Housewives’ success on the show; and I certainly don’t “unfriend” people who don’t agree with me. I don’t subscribe to this type of egregious self-serving behavior. There are children suffering, even dying from being bullied. Let’s not further exploit the word in order to gain sympathy, it only diminishes those who are truly victims.
Nene used the word “bully” which many people on this blog and other social media feels is overused and is a word that should not be used by an adult. I think Nene has made people feel intimidated by her and Kenya wanted to throw it back in her face. I think Marlo was a pawn in this game. It was risky thing for Kenya to put Marlo in this situation considering her background and this shows her true colors.
Wasn’t it NeNe who said “no bitch is going to tell her who she can be friends with” in reference to inviting my ex to her wedding? Clearly, my feelings didn’t matter, to add insult to injury they are not even friends. Point being, Marlo should have a right to be friendly with me. Cynthia has been the most blindly loyal friend NeNe has probably ever had. Yet, the moment Cynthia did not agree with NeNe calling her husband countless bitches, NeNe turns on Cynthia as if she has somehow been disloyal to her. Most of us are smart enough to see beyond NeNe’s smoke screen. The moment Marlo becomes friendly with me, she is labeled a turncoat opportunist. Hypocrisy at its best. NeNe does photo ops with Kim Kardashian, but Marlo is the opportunist? #byefelicia.
Tit for tat. Nene invited your ex to her wedding and now Kenya befriends Marlo and invites her to events. I think everyone is an opportunist on this show and that is ok. You would be stupid to get this kind of coverage and not take advantage to make some money off it.
The truth remains the truth. Her arrogant “I am better than everyone else attitude” is hard to stomach. Even her most loyal fans can see her true colors and no Kool-Aid in the world is worth dying over. After seeing how disposable her long time friends are to her as she discards them like trash if they dare go against her, she is no one’s friend only a dictator in her own mind. I don’t need friends like her in my life.
I don’t think you have to worry about Nene being your friend anymore.
Thank God for my real friends. I don’t know what I would do without them. I love you and thank you for loving me — flaws and all. I love my BFFs: Chanda, Lauren, My two Lisas, Nola, Brandon, Tracey, Lawrence, Lamman, and Camille! I live for you! And to my new friends on the show, I appreciate you giving me a chance and look forward to having a genuine friendship.
Kenya shows pics of her friends in her blog. I guess she feels the need to show proof that she has friends.
Porsha thinks Kenya should not have tried to bring NeNe and Marlo together.
First let me make it clear that Team Naked did win overall at the Bailey Bowl! There was a lot of drama, but yes, even with that over-the-top dog and pony show Kandiand her team came out with, they did not win. LOL! I celebrated our victory at the Bailey Bowl showdown with an over-the-top twerking dance.
Did you guys even finish the Bailey Bowl? It didn’t even seem like a full competition. I thought as soon as Nene peaced out, the games were over. Or maybe the cameras stopped once production got the footage they need. Nene may not be freaking out over just the Marlo-Kenya alliance but she may be insecure of how production may want to portray her. I can see the parallels between Nene/ Kenya and Lisa/Brandi. They are going after the queen bees on the shows.
Speaking of showdown, WTH?! I was so in shock. Here we are once again at what was supposed to be a fun and friendly competition, and all hell breaks loose. Well let me tell you what I saw (in my ol’ gossiping auntie voice, LOL!). At the end of the last game everybody was celebrating and arguing at the same time. Mainly because they weren’t clear on who won. I didn’t get into the argument because it wasn’t needed; I knew we had won and it would come out, so why fight about it.
Better off being completely clueless. It is less stressful.
I know firsthand how sensitive NeNe can be when it comes to her friendships. She is the type of girl who wants you to communicate with her at all times. I feel like she wants all her friends to move as one crew on the same page with one mind. Meaning if one person doesn’t like that heffa, then you don’t need to like that heffa. Now for me, I agree and disagree. I agree, because I get a bad taste in my mouth when you’re my girl and you are getting close to someone who clearly has nothing but bad things to say about me. Really at end of the day what can you add to that type of conversation but agree with the enemy? On the other hand, we are all grown, and if you choose to be cool with my enemy, the outcome (if I love you) will be that I may not cut you off, but you definitely will be in a different “friend” category. You will be placed in the category of the chick I go have cocktails with and shop with, but for sure NOT the one I will tell my business to. The choice is up to you.
As Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and Dubya would say, “if you are not with us, then you are against us.” There is no room for neutrality in the war of terrorist housewives.
People know what they are doing and why! Most intentions come from the heart. Half of the time we know who we can trust and who we can’t. At the end of the day when someone is using you or being an “opportunist,” nine times out of ten you know it, but you allow it because you are using them as well. So don’t be surprised when it blows up! Simply dust off your Chanel and carry on with life. Most people are only around for a season, and once their purpose in your life is fulfilled, God will reveal who they are and make it easy for you to move forward and go even higher.
Nene using the word “opportunist” is just a spin to make her look like the victim. I have never seen Nene as a victim and I don’t think she would ever want to be thought of that way. I don’t think she is thinking clearly. She is very angry and spewing whatever thoughts comes into her head. It is an honest reaction and I think all the viewers want are honest reactions out of these ladies. So cheers to Nene!
Cynthia was shocked to hear some of the things NeNe had to say about Peter.
Yes my husband Peter turned 53 on his birthday. If I do say so myself, my man wears his age extremely well. Peter is always surprising me, so I decided to give him a taste of his own coconut water and surprise him with a Jamaican themed birthday party! After all the drama at Pillow Talk, spa day, and Kenya’s charity event, I thought this would be a fun soirée for everyone to take a chill pill and wash it down with glass of delicious rum punch. Ya maan! You know what I mean? Good vibes! A “don’t worry, be happy” kind of night. Although there was still some tension between me and NeNe, Peter and NeNe, and Kenya and NeNe, I was still very excited to try to bring everyone together to let bygones be bygones and just have a good ol’ time.
Nene, Nene, Nene. It looked like a nice party. Thank goodness the drama was kept on the down low.
I was a little upset with Peter the next morning (after Kenya’s event) for confronting NeNe (although she actually confronted him), because I did not think it was the right time to talk. The night had already taken a turn for the worst, and I didn’t see the point in trying to fix something that was already broken. Had NeNe not gotten out of her car, walked over to Peter, and initiated the conversation with Peter, there would not have been a reason for him to be in her face acting like a bitch, right? It was pretty clear that his conversation was directed to me. So I don’t know who the monster was that was waiting at the top of the hill, because the only thing that Peter was waiting for was his car to leave.
He seems like a man that knows how to side-step issues in a suave way so why did he have to be so confrontational with Nene?
I am beyond offended and embarrassed that one of my closest and most loyal friends called my husband a bitch for speaking the truth. Not only is it blatant disrespect, it’s also dirty. It crosses the line, and hits way below the belt. A little surprising coming from someone who prides themselves on being such a GOOD FRIEND and the authority on who is not one.
Nene makes her own rules and changes them when it suits her.
Moving on! I was so happy when NeNe and Gregg showed up at Peter’s party! The fact that my girl was able to take the high road and come to the party was validation that we indeed had a solid friendship and would always be able to work through our differences no matter how big or small. That’s what real friends do! FYI: Obviously I was not in her kitchen earlier that morning to hear her call Peter a bitch. However, I thought it was big of her to come to his party despite her feelings at breakfast. Not to mention that she was even kind enough to leave NaeNae in the car! Long story short, it was a great party and I think everyone had a good time. The ladies had a chance to catch up and chit chat. The guys played pool and drank Jamaican beer. Kenya apologized to NeNe again. Peter and I kissed (amongst other things later on that night) and made up! Still kicking myself for not singing the Marilyn Monroe version of Happy Birthday for Peter at the party! LOL! It was kind of nice to not have any real drama for a change.
It is a testament to you that your friends made nice during Peter’s party. It means they like you and respect you. The Bailey Bowl, however, was a different matter.
So the million dollar question is: Who won The Bailey Bowl? I think it was between Team Cynthia and Team Naked. Honestly, with all that drama at the end, we may never know. Unfortunate ending to a great day.
Porsha thinks Team Naked won but how can there be any winners when everybody looked like they cheated?
