Let’s Chat – Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Congratulations Kandi and Todd!

They were married on Friday night in Atlanta with family and friends in attendance.  No word yet if Mama Joyce has been forced to beg on the street as a result of this union.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta

“Mess Rehearsal”

With one week left until opening night of Kandi’s musical, “A Mother’s Love,” Porsha heads to the studio to record her own single. Mama Joyce also stops by rehearsals and ends up having an open conversation with Todd on the future of their relationship. A shocking loss hits Kenya causing her to put aside all of the drama and realize what’s important in life.

If I leave a comment are you going to send george here? Please don’t 🙂

  2. Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Congrats to Kandi and Todd! They make a lovely couple. I hope mama Joyce was kind to them leading up to the wedding. She’s one scary MIL I’d hate to have.

  3. NJBev says:

If they show that Kenya’s dog, Velvet, dies – I am gonna be
    very upset.

  4. MelTheHound says:

All of CBS preempted tonight for an awards show (ACM) so there will be no amazing race blog tomorrow…

  5. Barb (just wondering in Jersey) says:

Whatever will you do with your free time?

  6. rabblerouser2010R says:

I know I said I like to stay in my own lane while on twitter, but this JZ shit is just too funny and too easy.

    JILL—->>> are you here ?
How did your niece announce her pregnancy ? It doesn’t show up here so I don’t know what everyone was oooohing and ahhhing over ! I’m dying to see it !
It did not post for me !

  8. chismosa™ says:

The song Wesley snipes is recording in the booth is not the one she is hyping on twitter FYI.

I wonder if Kandi did any of these singles

  9. Jan (TexasTart) says:

She usually live tweets, so whatever happens must be traumatic for her

  10. NJBev says:

I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!!!!

  11. NJBev says:

    OH God, i’m sobbing
(her dog looks just like mine)
what a horrible way to go…………….
    that dog was sooooooo cute………..

    • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

      ((NJBev)) 😦

    • MelTheHound says:

I didn’t see how the dog went, (((NJBev))) .. Yes I had it on for a minute while I burned my burgers. Now, Lucy has her chin on my knee wanting scraps….

  12. NJBev says:

    Ohhh snap!!
    Momma Joyce getting called out
    by the therapist!

    • Powell says:

I just don’t know what to say about her anymore. Doesn’t she get that Todd stopped working at the request of Kandi? They made a mutual agreement for him to stop working for a few months so they could be together to really build their relationship. Todd had made money in the bank to take care of himself. I just don’t understand her.

      • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Hi Powell, I think if Todd had a lot of money, her excuse for not liking him would be that he’s too controlling and so on. She seems like she wants Kandi to stay single so that Kandi only relies on her mom. Also, she doesn’t want anyone telling Kandi not to give her too much mula. I wonder what her monthly allowance looks like?

        • Powell says:

Right Foxymel. If Joyce would tell the truth as to why she doesn’t like him I’d respect her more. It’s all about Kandi’s money and Todd messing up her plans to live w/ Kandi.

      • Jan (TexasTart) says:

I know. Seems I heard Kandi and Todd were together … or was it engaged for 2 years? Anyway, at least 2 years together you think she might have gained some trust in that amount of time. Bottom line is she has no respect for him and that will probably never change.

        • Powell says:

You’re right. It’s a shame. Kandi had a boyfriend that was a deadbeat dad. Kandi had a fiance that had five kids w/3 or 4 different mothers. Todd has a great rep working w/Oprah, Tyler Perry, HWs, etc and 1 child. I think there’s a large percentage of mothers that would welcome Todd into their family.

  13. lillybee says:

Porsha does have a nice voice, much better than Kim Z.

  14. Powell says:

So NeNe has a line on HSN. Well what HW city hasn’t but she got farther than She by Sheree.

  15. Powell says:

Oh no!! Poor Velvet. I’m sorry for Kenya. She loved her so much.

  16. Jan (TexasTart) says:

  17. Jan (TexasTart) says:

I didn’t know Kenya lost her dog in real time, she didn’t give that away in the press or Twitter, but I did notice when she changed her twitter pic to be of just Velvet…it has been that way for months…now I know why. 😦

    • chismosa™ says:

I noticed that changeover too Tarts.

I hope the dog was elderly and it wasn’t a gross attack or something. Have to watch later I don’t want to be sad

      • NJBev says:

        Velvet was 7, Chi.
and the neighbors dog attacked her……

        • MelTheHound says:

Well that fills in that blank.. Poor Velvet… Can’t really stand Kenya but hate to see somebody lose their dog like that..

          • Powell says:

            Me too MTH.

          • NJBev says:

            oh God.
            I’m sorrry… I forgot about the
            freakin time difference… please
            don’t be mad at me………….

            • MelTheHound says:

No worries here.. I said above I missed the part of How.. even though that’s the only part of ATL I’ve seen in two years. Sounds like people here knew something happened anyway..

        • chismosa™ says:

I hope the dog was put down from next door.

Not looking forward to this. Yuck

          • MelTheHound says:

            Why? For being a dog?

            • KTinCT says:

Exactly, Jeff! The people who have the pet need to realize that a dog is a dog and it is their responsibility to care for and “control” (for lack of a better word) their pet. As you know, I have an aging rescue pit bull that has “guarded” Maggie since day one. Would literally sleep under her crib while she napped. Maggie would straddle, jump on and even put cardboard pointed party hats on her (she still does it). When Maggie was an jnfant still crawling, I would get down on my knees and play with her and if I chased Maggie around the living room, Jada would stand at the baby-gate and bark incessantly at me. So even with all the love and protection Jada exudes, I still would NEVER leave her in a room alone with Maggie – that is my responsibility as her caretaker and Maggie’s Mom. I’m not blaming Kenya nor do I want to start an argument but these dogs are animals with instincts and you have to be aware of that if you choose to have one.
Wow – sorry for the long rant 🙂

              • Jan (TexasTart) says:

I don’t even know what the circumstances were, but anything can happen with animals and that doesn’t necessarily make them a danger to others. I’m a owner of bully breed dogs, so I have a heightened awareness.

                • KTinCT says:

Yes! You said the magic words,TexasTart – heightened awareness. My dog has never presented a danger, but she is, in fact, a dog, a pit bull – so I must be absolutely vigilant with whom I choose to expose her to, and be a responsible dog owner.

                  • Beckygrey says:

Thank you KTinCT. I think it’s hard for people to understand what you have said. Their dogs are so much of their family they some time forget their family member is an animal. Responsible dog owners do as you do. It doesn’t mean you love your dog any less, it means you respect them as animals and you respect the humans as well.

              • MelTheHound says:

LMAO picturing the two of them together 😀

              • Orson says:

I’ll never forget the Indian Summer day when the neighborhood came out to enjoy the unseasonably nice weather and we were all visiting in small groups and one of the neighbor’s Aussie Shepherd took it upon himself to herd us all into to one large group. Some stuff is instinctual.

            • chismosa™ says:

I didn’t watch yet / I’m usually ride or die for dogs and animals over stupid humans but One nation Under Dog makes me think about things differently/ Don’t want to start a whole thing/ just MHO- ✖️

              • chismosa™ says:

I think people get the wrong breeds for what they want-exhibit a/ flipping out and his grandmother !!!!! I tweeted at him over that. Unbelievable

Ok sorry / rant done ❌

                • KTinCT says:

I hear ya, Chismosa! Regarding my rant, my rescue pit came with my husband – he rescued her 3 years before we met so it was a package deal. I love my Jada and it’s so painful to see that she is getting older and I think we might lose her soon. My husband was told by the shelter that she was 9 months when he adopted her, I met him three years later and this summer we will celebrate nine years of marriage. I will definitely go the shelter route after Jada crosses the bridge – and after Jada, I won’t rule out pit bulls because she has shown me how gentle, loyal and amazing they can be. All that said, I would still never leave my daughter in a room alone with any species of dog, cat, bird,….etc..

                  • MelTheHound says:

                    crosses the bridge

                    I like that 🙂

                  • chismosa™ says:

Hi KT, that’s super sweet and I love that you RESCUED.

I totally see your point. My very best friend was so worried about her jack russell and babies and the dog is a wuss! Nothing at all bad with the kids. No threat.

But yes, I think parents have to keep eyes open and you all seem to know that.

I feel so badly for Kenya.

                  • chismosa™ says:

Oh I meant to say also that’s awesome you took to the doggie who came with your hubby 🙂
-and for a larger breed that’s a long time no? That’s great ….

                    Good luck

                • MelTheHound says:

                  I agree..

              • MelTheHound says:

I am always going to err on the side of blame the owner before I blame the dog. I’d be curious to know exactly how it happened too. Who went into who’s yard and who was responsible for making sure that didn’t happen..

                • NJBev says:

I would agree with you 100%
                  I have a tiny dog and I wouldn’t
leave HER alone w/ a small child-
I don’t even like kids clowning
around with her if I am not there.
Little kids can be pretty rough
with little dogs, and as the dog
                  gets older their temperament
                  can change and they tolerate
                  less. You never know what
                  can happen…..
                  you just never know…..

    • LaineyLainey says:

      Yeah,…so sad.

  18. chismosa™ says:

My friend’s sister and brother are on Long Island medium tonight. Have to dvr. Never watched her before !

    Just the SNL spoof LOLLL

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Never? Proceed with caution, you might get hooked!

      • chismosa™ says:

I don’t like how she (or the show) stereotypes Long Island! We don’t all look like her or talk like her or have Carmela soprano nails !!!!!

Have to watch, I love the guy getting read. My friend not so much. 😜

        • NJBev says:

Chi, your friend gets read by her tonight?

Her nails are just ridiculous. I mean stupid ridiculous.
She is a sweet woman. though-

          • chismosa™ says:

My friend (frenemy …..) – her brother’s husband/ partner who I adore, gets read. I assume about his father ? His mom lives with him.

I know the sister of the husband of the guy getting read and also her sister and husband will be there.
(This is my friend getting married during mercury retrograde 😳)

            • Jan (TexasTart) says:

When I read this, I was O_o and o_O … trying to follow it, lol but I can tell you they were on the last few minutes of the second episode. Watch the whole episode if you can to get the full experience. She’s really got a gift.

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Hopefully their not in jail! Must be the second episode.

  19. chismosa™ says:

Someone – anyone – if you see this, please let me know how Jill’s cousin announced her pregnancy…. I’m so out of it not knowing it! Can’t find it – doesn’t show up
    :/ FOMO

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

She announced on Twitter in a unique way…Jill posted the tweet at end of the Flipping Out/SC blog. You can’t see it or can’t find it. Not sure I understand….

  20. SoutheastVA says:

    It’s Game of Thrones time.

  21. Powell says:

Anyone watching Married to Medicine? That Mariah is still a trip. Now she thinks Quad is jealous of her cuz they haven’t spoken much and someone is telling Quad things about Mariah. Maybe Quad saw Mariah differently after she beat up one of the lady’s up at Carrie’s house. Had weave flying. Maybe that’s why she’s not calling Mariah. I’m really surprised that they agreed to another season.

    • NJBev says:

I was wondering if anyone watched that show, Powell!
I was surprised when it was renewed for another season.
Think I might be ODing on women screaming at each other

  22. NJBev says:

I just googled “Kenya Moore Loses (computer goes to “house” lol) dog, velvet.
All entries were just put in within the last hour or so….. so she never went
public with this, apparently? It must have been hard not to say anything since the
only other entries are about her “abandoning her dog, Velvit, after eviction”
So I guess after Velvit passed, the press assumed she dumped the dog—-

    • MelTheHound says:

I remember that being discussed either here or on facebook now that you mention it. I’m sure I had something Nasty to say about Kenya at the time as well..

That shows what the press is worth, doesn’t it?

    • chismosa™ says:

Bev you can tell when the entries were entered into google? – or maybe you mean you checked before the show started and then after ?

She did NOT make a hoopla about this. I’ve followed her a long time.
      So sad. :/
She’ll make a great mom IMO. Not to start at kerfuffle! 😁

      • Powell says:

I’m not a Kenya fan but I think she’ll make a great mom. She does have a nurturing side. You could tell that w/Velvet.

      • NJBev says:

Chi, what I am saying is that it
is very clear that she did not make
a hoopla about it. So, we completely
agree. I think she handled this with
Why are you starting a kerfuffle?

        • chismosa™ says:

Oh I AGREE with you that she didn’t make a big deal. Sorry the wording was ambiguous. … I agree — 🙂

Kerfuffle refers to the conversation a few weeks ago here about whether pet lovers are similar to or capable of being just as good parents to humans. It was a little discussion here. ((Pets are not humans, not saying that©®™))
          That’s all 😉

  23. Barb (just wondering in Jersey) says:

I wish I hadn’t just seen Kenya. Boy did that bring back memories best forgotten.

  24. chismosa™ says:

Catching up on blogs — I’m so happy everyone likes my names pancakes™ and Leg™

I filed the trademark ASAP! Lol

VV good catch on Facebook 🎣

  25. Powell says:

TexasTart I forgot to tell you I don’t see the funny FB, Twitter, WordPress, Google + options for posting on this blog. Maybe WP fixed that.

  26. NJBev says:

    nighty night

  27. WasLurking says:

I so very rarely genuinely feel for HW crap but Kenya losing her pup and so viciously .
    Breaks my heart.
I’m off to the vet tomorrow.. 13 year old Pit that loves everything. Just ask my cats.
