Project Runway – Movie Night / Don’t Be Tardy – Destination Destin

Project Runway

S13E2 “Movie Night”

By Princess Pindy

The designers wake up in the “Gotham West Apartments” and there waiting for them is  popcorn and 3D glasses…  they are going to a private screening in the East village…they think they are going to design for a celebrity or red carpet….wrong.  They are all talking about how they too couldn’t believe that Sandhya won last week, lol.

They go to the East Village Theater which is an awesome theater.  They are shown a movie trailer that seems pretty cool….until Tim shows up on the screen.

They are in teams of three, I don’t like team challenges.  They need to make three separate cohesive looks…from movie inspired items.  They have one day.

They can use tickets, candy, rope, all kinds of crap to make their look. They are like a shark in Sharknado 2 going for their items.  The only restriction is that they have to be able to carry it themselves back to the workroom. This is an elimination challenge and Snadhya has immunity since she won last week (HOW?)…and people are still bitching about it in their talking heads (and on the internet.)  I wonder if they will bitch about it the whole episode, lol. What do you think?  I think yes!!

Kristine, Korina and Amanda are getting along…they are on the same page. Amanda has told them that they should make their own textiles.  She is using her experience from Season Eleven. They are going for a futuristic look.  Carrie, Sandhya and Hernan are on a team.  we will see… They are not agreeing and there is trouble already. Hernan is bossy, IPPHO.  Emily, Alexander, and Samantha seem to be working well together. They did a cool “scale” thing with CDs.  Mitchell, Kini and Char are doing cocktail dresses.  They are using movie tickets and CDs. Sean, Angela, and Fade, the guys want to do villains, they are using lots of straws…Angela wants to do an angel, the guys seem to be humoring Angela. But basically tell her no.  Again she is on the edge…she is going to break, I swear.  Angela’s confidence is low, Poor Angela.

Tim comes in and asks how everyone is and …dead silence.  HAHAHA!!!

Sandhya’s team…they don’t  like her look…  Tim asks  if the same customer  would wear all the looks and that they are “costumey”…Not that there is anything wrong with costumes or making up words,  Tim says, there no cohesion on this team…a designer is going to go home and it’s not Sandhya, that it will be Hernan or Carrie that is packing their bags… Tim is getting real, real fast!

IPPHO, it would be nice if Sandhya was more supportive of her team’s idea.  But on the other hand, we have five fingers AND somebody has to go home… so who really cares what the other team members do….two schools of thought.  Hernan tells Sandhya that she needs to follow what they are doing.  Sandhya feels disrespected and is crying.  Sandhya wants to talk to Tim alone.  She tells him she is getting picked on.  Tears so soon…I guess that everyone telling her that they are shocked that she won has gotten to her. Tim is encouraging and sweet and I would expect nothing less from him, lol.  Well what do you know, after all that drama, it looks like Sandhya got on board with her team, or sold out, depending on your point of view.  Carrie also changed her design due to Hernan’s insistence.

I don’t think this challenge shows how good a designer can be …it is just one of the things they do every season.  One season it was trash….IDK…it is fun to watch what they come up with.  I want to see them design real clothes…like on Top Chef, I want to see them cook real food…these challenges sometimes are ri.dic…IPPHO.  But I guess the Team Challenge and Unconventional Challenge let us see the personality, creativity and see maybe their true colors.  Mitchell is being nice to Sandhya….maybe I was wrong…it has happened before, I think… Angels is in big trouble, I think she is in over her head, unlike her dress that won’t go over her  model’s head..Poor Angela.

The winner gets immunity on the next challenge.  The judges are Heidi Klum, Zac Posen, Nina Garcia and guest judge  Grance Dore, a Fashion Blogger.  They are having an anonymous runway, judges won’t know whose look they are seeing. yeah, ok, like I believe that….so jaded.

I love that they all think they are going to be on top.  Angela’s dress came out better than I expected, in that she had something to put on The Runway.  I love Mitchell’s CD dress, it is so sparkly, with a good fit.  The judges told Angela that she was safe but she brought her team down…Poor Angela.

Amanda, Kristen and Korina’s team has the highest score and are the winning team. They used rope, nuts, film, duct tape, marquee letters. zip ties, etc.  The judges give the winning team’s critique…Their collection felt the most cohesive.  Heidi likes Amanda’s the best.  Nina likes the color, bright green, and she likes the three different shapes of the dresses.  The Blogger likes the flowing of Amanda’s dress.  They send them back out to wait.

Now the losers come out, Sandhya, Hernan and Carrie.  Their critique… All three dresses look alike. They used film and gold cellophane or something. They are trying to blame Tim for having three of the same dresses.  That Tim’s critique was so bad, they weren’t cohesive,  they had to start over. They only worked on it for four hours.  Zac says, “No more excuses.”  Nina tells Sandhya that she is lucky that she has immunity because her look is the worst.  Zac says it looks like the editing floor, he’s trying to be funny cuz they are made of film…get it?  Now Hernan and Carrie are trying to throw the winning team under the bus and Hernan wanted Angela to go home…Poor Angela…Nina is mad that Sandhya did so badly and so are Hernan and Carrie but not for the same reason…one or both of them is going to be out.

There goes Zac looking up girls dresses, lol, touching hair and anything else he can get his hands on.  Tim throws Hernan under the bus and tells the judges that Hernan forced the women to do what he said.  Tim is taking no prisoners this season.

Amanda is the winner.  She has immunity for the next challenge.

Oh, they kicked Carrie out…that is sad.  I liked her…  Hernan is in……  Carrie is vocal about her disappointment that there was immunity.  Immunity is a double edge sword on these type of shows. I would have rather seen Poor Angela or Sandhya go home and see what Carrie had to offer.

Here are the designs from the episode:

Don’t Be Tardy
S3E3  “Destination Destin”

By TexasTart

Last week the limiting factor was applied to Kroy, so he will shoot blanks and the Biermann Bunch shall cease to grow.

They’re getting ready to go on vacation. Apparently Destin, Florida is the place of choice because it’s Spring Break and that’s where Brielle’s friends go. Kim is so excited as it’s her first time to Destin that she’s not been pregnant three years in a row. Sweetie wants to know if she’s on vacation and Kim replies it’s not your vacation! It’s our vacation sweetheart. Reminding Sweetie how she can still make calls and do this and that in Destin.  Brielle and Adriana are bringing one friend each.  Kim wonders out loud if she has enough luggage for 6 kids and Kroy says yes.  Kim though, says it has to match and you can never have enough.  Kroy is sure they have enough. She insists they need two new Louis Vuitton suitcases for the twins.  Wait, for the 3 month old twins? Oh, now I understand why Kim kept having babies, to buy more stuff!   Kroy said they don’t even need bags, we’re in an RV for heaven’s sake, its’ not like a plane where you have to check a bag.  Kroy said she is not buying more luggage!  She walks away and he asks if he’s heard. She didn’t answer him. She runs to another room and immediately calls her stylist Shun and instructs her which LV luggage to buy and she exclaims she “needs” them for the babies –  don’t tell Kroy!

Later on, Shun arrives with all kinds of shopping bags in tow, including the specific luggage Kim wanted.  Kim sees her in the driveway and enlists Sweetie to go out and help carry it in. Sweetie recoils when she finds out she is about to help smuggle in the LV luggage that Kroy specifically said not to buy. Sweetie doesn’t want to get in trouble, but as it goes, she’s the assistant and pretty much has to do as told.  They were going to sneak in, but Kroy was now in the Kitchen, which is right off the entrance, so Kim acts like it’s any ole’ shopping trip and the LV suitcases are the best freakin purchase ever, for her babies. I’m sure the babies will love them Kim.  He’s noting she didn’t have any regard for his wishes and he wants it returned.  Why, she asks.  Because you don’t wear it, you don’t carry it, I do – that’s why, Kroy says.  He also tells Kim that she has something coming if she wants to keep this luggage against his wishes. She is mildly curious and he said, don’t worry, you’ll find out later if you keep it.

The RV bus arrives. Kim is feverishly packing and her staff is packing too.  She proclaims she needs to have a vacation to get over the packing before starting the vacation!  Excuse me, we know about needing vacations after packing, but you had help, girl!   So the eight of them, plus camera crew, the two friends of the older girls, Lana and the housekeeper are loaded up, I’m not sure where they put everyone, but I think later I spotted the housekeeper at their destination.  Sweetie is following behind in a fully loaded Escalade, and I mean fully loaded with baggage!  Brielle said the RV is claustrophobic!

BDT S3E4_1At pit stop, Kim goes in the store and is asking about what are the popular scratch off tickets. Kim explains that there are no casinos in Georgia, so she gets her thrills with scratchoffs.  Poor Kim, having to settle for scratchoffs. Boo hoo hoo.  The clerk said someone won millions on these, he saw it with his eyes, so Kim of course, needs a roll of those.  She purchased $1240 in lottery tickets. I have some things, I’d like to sell Kim, now that I think of it.  Her girls seem embarrassed, actually their eyes were wide and commenting about how their mother gets “in the zone” with her gambling, especially the online gambling and there is no stopping her.  Kim said, in a TH, that she took a really  big hit in the Bahamas, to the tune of $250,000 and how she plays big to win big.  I believe those statements were said said separately in TH’s, but when I combine them, it sounds so foolish, as if she plays big to lose big.  Chuckles.

DBT S3E4_2Back on the road, Kim says they should have rented a jet.  She was sitting strangely forward in the front captain’s chair, maybe it’s all the damage the twins did making their entry into the world.  Once Kim has the scratchoff tickets, she settles back in her captain’s chair and goes at it frantically. Her girls talk about how their mother attacks those cards, ruining her manicure, scratching like she’s mad at them.  Kim is not getting winners and has her choice words about it. Kroy giggles as she complains about her loser tickets and how she should have bought a couple of thousand more.  I love this giggle of a laugh Kroy uses in all his banter with Kim and I’m thinking to myself, who has the time of day to scratch those off?! Oh, maybe that’s another reason she has so many kids!

Kroy said she has to go camping in the woods. She’s not believing her ears!  Yep, that’s what she gets for buying that luggage and making him carry it all. She goes back and forth with him about she is NOT camping.  They get to destination Destin at 1am and Kim complains about unloading.  You all will be happy to know she brought at least 4 wigs in large Rubbermaid containers, that I’ve also seen toted into the woods in a preview.  Not to jump ahead to next week though, they are at the beach now and the morning brings rain.  I was on a beach for my honeymoon and all it did was rain, but that wasn’t so much a problem as it would be for a family who were there to play on the beach!

The next day, it was so very rainy again. Kim calls it a “mood killer”.  They were held captive to play games and such in the condo.  By the evening of day 3, it starts to clear.   Ariana wants to go see her friends, which was not explained, but I assume if Brielle has friends on Spring Break in Destin, probably so does Ariana.

Brielle wants to go to meet friends. Brielle changes clothes in a very sexy looking outfit, that Kim questions a bit, but off she goes, she is “is zipping out”. Kroy said she has to be back by 12 or he’ll make her sweep up their beach until all the sand is gone.  She leaves and Kim said about how good Brielle is and bragging about she’s not done drugs, drank or had sex.  All Kim’s friends say she’s lucky to have such a well behaved one.  Kroy disagrees that she’s that innocent.  Kim gets furrowed eyebrows and starts asking questions.  He said, “you don’t know everything she does”.  Kim doesn’t like the fact Kroy is doubting her daughter. She trusts her. They talk.  Kim said, “I’m not dumb, I don’t think she’s done those things!”  Kroy, said “Okay, she’s perfect.” with a shrug and walks off, giving up any further argument.

Next week we find out if Brielle will have to sweep up all the sand on the beach and witness the Biermanns trying to put the paparazzi in their place as they try to enjoy their vacation on the beach.

  2. Pindy – love the blog. I thought Sandhya exhibited a lot of grace and Hernan/Carrie were little *itches. She had immunity so she did what that wanted and they completed trashed her, I only wish they would have sent both their sorry a$$es home. I love Tim Gunn.

Happy weekend everybody – week 2 of construction almost complete and making good progress. First volunteer day back at the zoo tomorrow in a month since I was packing up bath/bedroom two weeks ago and will be happy to get out of the construction zone for the day.

    MTH – speedy recovery!

SJP-NYC I feel for you. When we did a kitchen remodel a few years ago it was awful, but boy does my kitchen look great now. No more “Burnt Orange” counter tops and “Avocado Green” sinks.

      • I am at least blessed with a good contractor – he did my kitchen 4 years ago and it was on time and on budget. Very reliable. Do you have pink ceramic tile in the bathroom to go with the old orange and green kitchen theme? With any luck this time next week we get to move back into the bedroom even if that bath with take another couple of weeks to finish. We are expanding closet to make walk in, installing a soffit for led down lights and scrap ceiling and replastering in there – and by we I mean whole bunch of guys that I hand out bottled water to and leave chocolate and cookies out for. Small bribes go a long way I hope.

        • designernailsdiana says:

Our house was pink steel siding before we built the addition. I like beige!!!!! lol

    • In a way I am sorry she caved, it would have been fun to see her do her “look” and then just shrug and say “I’ve got immunity bitches!” when the judges said it wasn’t cohesive, lol!

    • T-Rex says:

I can’t wait to be “under construction” at my house. Of course you all hear me say that now and once it happens I will probably be cursing up a storm that we are “under construction”. House almost paid for the “building” fund we have going is growing by the month so hopefully this time next year we will be under way. I want to apply to one of those shows so that I can get part of it paid for, but then again, I don’t really want to be on television nor do I want my mess of an old house on there either, LOL!

  3. Itsnotreality says:

Oh, PP you cracked me up with”They can use tickets, candy, rope, all kinds of crap to make their look.”

  4. Laineylainey says:

No, I’m not ready to go home! Can’t they see my hair is blue? That means I’m the most creative!! Right? Hell No, I won’t go! Well…I won’t go until I’ve made myself look like a spoiled sore loser little b17ch.

    Bye b17ch.

  5. HuskerHuny says:

Donny and Nicole have HOH in Big Brother. Donny needs to come out on top or work some deals with the big four – Derrick, Cody, Zach and Frankie – if he wants to stay in this game. I would love to see the aforementioned four go up together and then battle it out for BOB. That is what this game needs right now – a MAJOR shake up! I’m not liking that Victoria, Jocosta and Christine keep floating along. At least Hayden and Nicole are winning competitions, but they are not in the mix for final four. Please, someone wake up and get an idea already. If they don’t, Derrick, Cody, Zach and Frankie will sail into final four without breaking a sweat. Caleb? He’s out on a island right now and nobody wants anything to do with him.

    • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Hi Huskers! Nicole wants to back door Frankie this week and Donny I think is going to play it safe. I agree that they must think something long term since the boys and Christine(until they don’t need her) are aligned.
We need a shakeup! Also, I think that since America’s Team wussed out from our assignment, then they should be dropped as America’s Team. You don’t get to choose what you want/don’t want to do in this house!

      • designernailsdiana says:

I agree put up those four guys. Frankie, I think he’s been picked to win it. I hope not. He’s a funny guy and very likeable to a point. The scenes with him and Zach in bed are weird, especially since Zach insists he’s not gay…*cough* Bu11sh*t Just own it and move on.
I’m pulling for Nicole, Christine, Hayden and Donny or Derrick.
Isn’t it just bizarre that 2 housemates have had Grandpa’s die while they are in the house and within weeks of each other?

        • HuskerHuny says:

I don’t blame Donny for backing out of the America’s Team challenge. I could see that with the game he’s playing (which has been rather weak, I’m afraid to admit), that making a major move would put a big target on him and the others as well. I think it’s time to blow up Team America. It’s not all that entertaining.

Oh yeah, for sure, you’re not gay Zach, but you’re definitely interested. And that’s O.K.; just be honest!

My (perfect) final four would be Donny, Derrick, Cody and ?????. I know I’ve been complaining a lot about breaking up the Detonators, but they are playing an almost perfect game. It’s also been a boring game as well. I’m saving that last spot for whomever can jump up and make things interesting. Once again, a girl will not win this thing. Hey Big Brother – how about finding strong minded women who want to play a strategic game, has the ability to win physical challenges and the brains to not get involved in any shomance crap. She’s out there – find her!

          • designernailsdiana says:

The women need to say first moments in, let’s work together to boot the guys out first. They are too stupid to do that.

            • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

I agree with you and Huskers. The problem is that they cast a lot of these people that have never watched the show before. For example, Joey tried having the girls rule the house, but since she never watched the show, she had no clue how to leverage herself.

I’m hoping the end will be Nicole, Hayden, Cody, Donny and Derrick.

              • HuskerHuny says:

Yeah, I think we are all pretty much over Frankie and Zach. That looks like a pretty good final five – every man for himself! I just saw who’s been nominated for eviction this next week. I won’t say in case I spoil it for others. But it’s pretty easy to figure out – no surprises!

  6. Laineylainey says:

Princess did say thanks for the blog? No? I was too busy bring a meanie. Well…thanks!

Tarty, thanks for your blog too. Nearly $1300 in scratch offs????? Amazing. I didn’t watch dbTardy yet. But I saw where Kroy tells Kim, in other words, stop bragging about how perfect Brielle is… He has a good point. Nobody’s perfect, but no mom wants to hear that.

    • Laineylainey says:

Sorry about all the typos. Using my phone. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

    • Powell says:

Yes I LOL at the scratch offs. When she said she lost $250k gambling I was like OMG is Kim nuts? And the LV bags? Kim has Kroy wrapped around her boobs. 😉 And her friend Jen is pregnant.

    • designernailsdiana says:

Oh how I know how it feels to find out the perfect kid is not so perfect. I suggest Kim puts a tracking device on brielle’s car and check her phone often. My frequent statement to my kids was “You live under my roof? Then you live by my rules. If you don’t like them, move out. I’m not holding you hostage.”
My Dad “Mr Magoo” loves his lottery tickets so much that he has the guy at the local market prepare them for Monday & Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and on Friday gets Friday – Sunday. Gambling is an addiction.

    • I think other designers in the past have wanted to say what Carrie and Hernan said last night but they were good sports, lol!! I would have liked to see what Carrie had to offer but “the rules is the rules” and that is how the game is played and everyone is playing by the same rules…..except for the part where the judges decide, hahaha!

  7. Powell says:

    Good morning again everyone.

    • designernailsdiana says:

      Good Morning Powell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TGIF!
You have big plans for the weekend?
I’m going to the cabin our friends own and gave me a key to use. All 3 Grandkidlets and their parent (Son and Daughter aka David and Lizzi) are joining me. I’ll be taking lots of pictures of all three together. I get Grandma time and quiet reading time too.
      The summer has flown by.

  8. BB says:

Dagnabbit! I forgot all about Project Runway last night. Thanks for the recap Princess. At least I know what happened.

  9. mrs peabody says:

I was shocked to hear that Kim seems to have a gambling problem, $250,000 gambling, wow. Just how much does Kroy make playing football, she sure spends a lot. Wonder what they get paid for this show. Did I hear those suitcases where $5000 each or $5000 for the whole bunch. I’d sure like to know what kind of income they have for all that spending. You know his football season isn’t going to go on forever. I sure hope someone has some sense when it comes to money in that household.

    • Itsnotreality says:

I know right, something just doesn’t add up. I am not counting her money but she sure seems to spend more than is coming in. I wonder if she still gets money from Big Papa, maybe she has something that on him.

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Kroy makes enough for the lot of them, her Bravo money is probably her gamblin’ money, lol

Kroy Biermann signed a 3 year / $9.15 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons, including a $3,100,000 signing bonus, $3,100,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $3,050,000.

      • Itsnotreality says:

That is a lot of money for us but not for Kim. They bought the huge house.Taxes on her house are probably thousands a year. It takes a lot of money to heat and cool a house that big. She has a assistant, nannies, maids, pool boy , gardeners, and stylist.(probably more) She doesn’t cook so they eat out constantly. They have six kids who she probably only buys the best for each. She spend thousands on her wardrobe, wigs, and wine. Also after taxes ,accountant, and manager fees Kroy doesn’t recieve the full amount that is above.

      • VV™ says:

His agent gets a big chunk out of that contract. I’m sure he has endorsement. I too think they spend way to much.

      • T-Rex says:

I know that sounds like a lot of money, but if they don’t spend wisely and they throw their money around frivolously, they are going to blow right through it. There are so many “broke” athletes out there. They did a story on this on HBO Sports and more than half of the guys who brokered really good deals are absolutely destitute now. They bought cars, homes, had entourages to pay for, etc.(sound familiar) but when they got done playing ball, they didn’t have any other skills to fall back on and couldn’t find jobs in the real world.

    • EllaMinnoPea says:

Thanks for the re-cap, it’s really good. However, I now KNOW I can’t watch this show. I cannot stand to watch a woman who is so completely self-absorbed that she not only takes no interest in her husband’s wishes, but she throws away sosososo much of the family’s money on gambling. Hopefully, Kroy sticks around and can be a good influence on her daughters because the world does not need more women like Kim. *shivers*

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

The only time I can think of that Kim was in Bahama’s was the time she was with big Poppa…and the time she tore the stitches around her nipple off (she just had her boobs done and went down a waterslide).

  10. HuskerHuny says:

The Project Runway recap was spot on. I so cannot get a grip on how the judges think. I had the top and bottom teams switched up last night. But when they explained it, it did make more sense to me. I’m an Amanda fan and she’s been in the top three and the winner last night. Hope she keeps it up. Too bad for the guy from New Zealand with the straw coat. That probably would have been the winner. Goes to show that you’re only as strong as the weakest link.

  11. AZGirl says:

Good morning everyone! Thanks PP for the great blog. I really liked Amanda’s dress. I thought the top was done nicely. Loved the skirt. I need to bite the bullet and watch Tardy. It sounds like it is really good this season.
Rainy here in AZ. Temps are down this weekend into the high 90s. Nice.

    • I watched about 2 minutes of Tardy and that was all I could take…Maybe I will watch it in reruns…. Amanda’s team was smart to listen to her about making their own textiles. I remember the one year the judges got all pissed because somebody used a shower curtain of something…lol!

  12. Hernan should have been the one sent home. They’ve gotten it wrong two weeks in a row. Not an auspicious start to this season. I’m already fed up with Sandaya too. lol

    • I still don’t think it is fair that he is on the show. He said something last night about his grandfather being his investor and the grandfather died, so there went the money. He has worked for a lot of top designers….. I didn’t like Sandhya’s look at the auditions….

    • T-Rex says:

I always think the “fix” is in for a couple of designers every year that they seem to get a Pass in the beginning, because they are already known in the design world, but they usually get their comeuppance later on in the season and get their auf wiedersehen well before the final three!

I used to like David until him and his ex decided they were going to split thier twins and each take one, who does that?

      • T-Rex says:

INR- I know that was SO weird, it’s not like they are bookends, these are human beings, and twins are connected intuitively so I would think you would be really harming them emotionally ripping them apart like that. I have heard some not so nice things as well, I was hoping they weren’t true and just stuff leaked to the press from a jilted ex, but who knows.

      • ladebra says:

I haven’t watched his show, but I think it was Bravo that was running commercials. Taylor was beyond annoying in the commercial, so that was enough for me.

  14. ladebra says:

This is the way I feel about Sprinkles cupcakes!

  15. ladebra says:

Great blogs PP and Tartsy! I don’t watch PR, but your blog is making me want to! And who knew I would like Kim again when Kroy is there to keep her happy 🙂

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

I got a case of the giggles from the dog and the cupcake…oh and the cat on the last blog was hilarious! Thanks for sharing them with us.

  16. T-Rex says:

I was perusing the internet this afternoon, reading up on the DrunkenSlutLazyAssNimrodGreyGardensSonja lawsuits, more on that note later, some interesting stuff. ANYWHOO, saw that someone wants back IN on the THUGS-R-US-Ho-wivesofHotlanta, that would be one ShebyShereeBrokeAssAintGotNoMoneyNoHow! Apparently she has been just “showing” up places and has been trying to contact producers, etc. Now that Phaekdra may be MIA for the next season, ShebyShereeBrokeAssAintGotNoMoneyNoHow wants to take her place, plus GoldDiggaZolciak is also angling for that spot as well.

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Interesting. She-by, we already said bye bye and don’t come back!

Looking forward to what you found on Sonja.

      • T-Rex says:

Yeah on the DrunkenSlutLazyAssNimrodGreyGardensSonja lawsuit front, I can clearly see how the judge ruled against her on the Movie lawsuit, whoa, it was a slam dunk. I know she is fighting the judgment based on her past legal team being incompetent, but she was the incompetent one regarding the movie deal. LOADS of fraud on her part, she basically used the “Morgan” name and implied that Mr. Morgan and his assets would help back the movie, of course unbeknownst to one Mr. Morgan. I can’t figure out the full extent of the 3 million dollar lawsuit though, she is trying to imply that Mr. Morgan somehow verbally agreed to some relief from this movie deal, which is preposterous, as the lawyers have implied. NO WAY, a guy like Mr. Morgan puts his money anywhere, anyhow without it being in writing and in a contract, it was shown that Mr. Morgan does not do “handshake” financial deals, which I would highly agree with, they are too financially astute to do something stupid like that. Also, DrunkenSlutLazyAssNimrodGreyGardensSonja got WAY more than her original Pre-nup agreement, which she acknowledges in the documents, he was “extremely generous”(those were the exact words written in the papers) in his “parting gifts” to her, which she had to acknowledge was MUCH more than their original Pre-nup. She received the properties, and in addition a very generous lump sum of money, she also acknowledged at that time that this was fair and equitable, it was only AFTER she had blown through a lot of the money and gotten into financial difficulties did she then go after him for more money. Also, there is some indications, but not really pointed out since it involves their minor child and those records are sealed, that Mr. Morgan may have apparently been granted physical custody, and this also led to the lawsuit, but the money issues and the custody issues were at the same time, so no clue. Her bankruptcy started out as a complete mess, it’s was so convoluted even the trustee almost needed a flow chart, in addition, they have had a lot of difficulty getting information and testimony from DrunkenSlutLazyAssNimrodGreyGardensSonja, They forced her to sell the French property because under Chapter 11 you can only keep one residence, I am not sure but I think she tried to state that she and Mr. Morgan owned it jointly making it not a party to the bankruptcy which he denied and the courts agreed it was to be sold. Her lawyers also wanted the property sold AFTER the ruling so that the courts would settle out the debts for the lower amounts first, then apply the sale to those, and the courts said nope, sell the property, pay off the debts then from there we will settle out, which means she will have to pay more money back to the people she owes. I know we have some lawyers here would could probably explain this better than I can, but basically she was trying to get out of paying a whole lot back to those she owes.

I would bet money she doesn’t have custody of her child. I have read nothing about it but my gut is telling me she doesn’t have custody.

Great blog, Tiara… I just got done watching the episode and it was hard for me to make sense of the whole judging thing – but your comments greatly helped. The judging is wonky to me because the net result was that the lousiest design did NOT send the designer packing. Those comments about Tim had me cringing – Are you insane? Throwing Tim under the bus like that? Tim was right – there was no cohesion before – So somehow it’s Tim’s fault they came up with this design? What’s up with that? It was also crazy to me that they used the unconventional challenge as a team challenge… To me, that’s wrong on so many levels. Also didn’t like Heidi’s snide remarks… or Nina’s snide remarks… or Posen’s snide remarks… Puhleeze…

Could someone help me. I have a question about a recipe that I don’t know the name of, so I can’t look it up. It’s an appetizer that some restaurants serve. It’s Italian bread cut to small slices. There is a cheese on it and some type of tomato/sauce? Then oil is poured on it. I think it’s toasted. There’s probably more on it but I don’t know. Thanks.

Okay, I’m gonna share about my former childhood friend. I’ve always felt and said that I don’t care what people spend their money on as long as they pay dues (taxes) and bonus points for giving some back (charity).

I had a friend that relished shopping and put a great deal of effort into it. Thank goodness she snagged a man that could eventually afford her the lifestyle she desired. She pushed out 4 kids, and he still wanted more. She pretty much raised the kids on her own, as he worked all the time….anyway, the point I’m trying to get to is that even though I say it doesn’t matter what people do with their money – money changes some people.

I could have a friend that I could go shopping with who spent more on clothing in the first purchase of the day, than I spent in an entire year. I could have a friend that was always trying to have the best, new, this or that, for her children and herself. I could have a friend that would find something she liked and drop everything to go back the next day and buy one of every color or type and then fuss about not having enough closet space. But I could not remain friends with someone who was obsessed with material things to the point that $he lost touch with what goes on in the real world – and me.

Just sayin’ I knew someone like Kim and she probably has no real friends outside of hired help.

Money does change people. I never told this story after my Mom died. Before she passed, my aunt took my mothers pocketbook home with her from the hospital. (I didn’t notice) She went to my mothers bank and closed out both her accounts. They both had a significant amount of money in them.

She signed my mothers name. The only names on the accounts were my moms, mine and my brothers. She freaked out on me when she found out that I knew and that I got a P.O. Box. Come to find out she wanted to get that months bank statement. She went to our PO and fought with the women there. I beat her to this and I have the original statement.

I wasn’t sure how many charge cards my mom had and had to call every charge card company from Visa, LLBean, MasterCard, etc to make sure she wasn’t using the cards. She still has my mothers pocketbook to this day. I spend hours and hours making phone calls. This is the last thing that you want to do after losing someone you love.

About a year before my mom passed, me and my brother were told by my mother, that when she passes for us to go to the bank and write two checks and get the money. She use to joke to us by saying, do it before the lawyers know I’m dead.

Anyhow, we found this out when we were making funeral arrangements. (this is when I got the PO Box) We asked her for the money and she said no and she would pay for the funeral. She did pay for it, with my mothers money. My mother had insurance for that. I kept tabs on the costs what she was spending but I was still in shock of losing my mother so I wasn’t on my toes. She even send flowers to the wake that were paid for from my mothers money.

Weeks later when we asked her for the money (there was a mortgage on the house) She told us to get a lawyer! We did. We finally got the rest of the money that was my mothers but to this day there is appx $14,000 not accounted for. We have no clue what she spent it on.

I have long ago started keeping her at arms length. I love my cousins so much so it’s hard not to avoid talking to her. And my anger towards her was eating at me. I had to let it go.

Also, about a month after my mom died, I came home and found her in our house taking things that she wanted. She only took things that were worth money. She had taken a day out of work to go to the house when she knew nobody would be there. She went thru everything. Took family heirlooms, jewelry, and pieces of furniture! I was at a loss for words. She did so many more bad things it seemed to go on and on until my grandparents stepped in.

This was done by a family member that I saw just about everyday of my life.

      • not THAT Jill says:

Shitty situation Boston-sadly this happens a lot when a family member dies. All of a sudden relatives think there is sooooo much money they NEED to get their hands on. It’s a shame but money drives people to do despicable things at a time when you least expect it. I’m glad you let the anger go-you are such a smart young woman!!!

      • Laineylainey says:

        What an evil woman! Unbelievable!!!!

      • Death and money does make people crazy. When both my parents passed away within weeks of each other I was so happy my oldest brother was the trustee of the estate. He made sure everything was done properly. I just handled the legal stuff with the bank account and made sure he was put on as a signer ALONE. Worst time of my life. He gathered us all together asked what we wanted. Mom willed me her Tiffany silver. I just wanted a pair of glass love birds that were given to her by a close friend. Everyday I look at them and smile.

        • boston02127 says:

Awful things were found out for months after. I could go on and on, she was crazy. And the saddest thing of all is that my mother worked hard all her life.

Not long after my mom passed, I was at their house with my cousin. I noticed my mothers Rosary Beads on a table. They were my great grandmothers from Ireland.

Well….about two months before my mother passed, my mom stumbled while getting up. This was a part of her sickness (PSP). She went to catch herself on a table and the table went over. She was ok. The table had a glass top on it and it shattered everywhere. I cleaned for over an hour to get all the glass up.

Her Rosary Beads were on that table. They were always on that same table for years in her bedroom. I went thru the bag of broken glass looking for the Rosary Beads using a fork. I moved furniture, went thru the bag over and over.

When I put two and two together after seeing the Rosary Beads at my aunts house, I realized she took them before my mother died. They were never on the table, never in the bag of broken glass.

How incredibly sick and evil. Do her own kids know what she did? Personally I think I might have snatched those rosary beads from her… But you are probably much nicer than I! I’m really sorry to hear what she did. How do people live with themselves….

          • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Exactly! How can they live with themselves?! So sorry you had to deal with an impersonating thief of an Aunt while you’re having to cope with such a loss. And having to continue to occasionally interact with her and keep peace in the family is an impressive feat!

I’m not a cook, so mostly I just combine, and try to stay away from anything that needs to be “cooked”. I once made charcoal briquettes out of tatter tots, and my skills have not improved with age. 😜
