Project Runway – American Girl Doll

Project Runway

S13E9  “American Girl Doll”

By Princess Pindy

I am splitting up my “The Roosevelts” watching tonight, watching the first hour at 8pm and then I will catch the 2nd hour at 11pm, because I am a giver. I really have no desire to watch Project Runway tonight, especially knowing that there is a high quality television show playing at the same time.  At this point in the season they might as well just send Emily, Char, and Alexander home.  The judges don’t like anything they do.  I am proud of Emily for keeping it together thus far.  I would be a puddle of tears if someone talked to me the way Nina and Zac talk to her.  They are especially mean to her.  I don’t think she is as bad as they make her to be, or not to be, that is the question. I also think that Tim wasted his “Tim Gunn Save” on Char because there is no way she is going to win with these judges.  I like her work but I don’t see her winning. It is obvious that they think the world of Sean, Sandhya, Amanda, and Kini.  Although I don’t think Kini is their actual favorite but his construction abilities keep him up there with the “cool kids”…  How funny that I forgot all about Korina…hmmm, what do you think that means?

This week’s product placement is brought to you by “American Girl” books, dolls, clothing, and accessories. My daughter loved the books.  Her favorite was Addy (… and Molly, and Kit, and Felicity, and…)   From the time they were little I talked to my children about money and the cost of things we bought.  I wanted them to be aware of “needs” vs. “wants”.  So when it came to American Girl dolls she knew that it was not a “need” but a “want”.  Somehow we got on the AG mailing list and would receive catalogues.  So I would sit with her and we would look and she would pick out what she would buy “if she had a million dollars.”  I just have to say, “What a racket!!”  IPPHO

PR S13E9_1The designers are challenged with designing “stylish, age appropriate looks” for the American Girl dolls based on their story and history. The dolls are from different time periods and I would like to see them in updated looks, could be fun. The first guest judge is Heather Northrop from American Girl. The guest judge is Elizabeth Moss. The Google Machine tells me that she was Peggy Olsen in Mad Men, I didn’t watch so IDK.  The only thing I personally would know her from is “The West Wing”, she was Zoey Bartlett. In other words, she is one of the many actresses that are around the same age that I have no clue of their name or what they have done.  It’s not my fault they got rid of the studio system and the huge PR machines and these girls have to fend for themselves to get their names out there.  And don’t get me started about “sex tapes”…let’s not go there!!!

So on to this week’s episode, there is no longer immunity for challenges which is the hot topic at the apartments along with laughing at Sandhya’s outfit from last week. That was just the guys.  The designers meet Tim at the American Girl store.  American Girl was started in 1986.  Each designer is paired with a doll and a young girl who will model the look they come up with.  “Beforever” is American Girl’s new line.  They are making the “modern look” for the young girls, not the dolls.  I didn’t know they had clothes for young girls but I shouldn’t be surprised.  The girls tell the designers as much as they know about the doll’s story.  American Girl is supplying fabric but they don’t have to use it.  They have one day for this challenge.

Off to Mood to get fabric. I wonder if anyone will use the AG material. Back at the workroom they each have their AG doll and a mini mannequin.  The designers talk about what they played with as kids.  As they are eating they discuss if they have made children’s clothes or not.  Most have not.  Emily has a daughter and makes clothes for her.  She thinks she could win this challenge.  Oh Emily, I don’t think that is going to happen, but I haven’t seen what you are making… we shall see.

I won’t be able to keep track of these dolls, so I will just watch what happens, oops wrong network.

PR S13E9_3Sean’s doll is out of the 70s, Tim thinks his idea is adorable. But is it too “retro”?  Tim tells him to remove the fringe from the jacket, so bossy.  I think Kini is using AG fabric.  Kini is stuck and doesn’t know what to do.   Amanda’s doll is Addy and Tim is so happy that she escaped slavery.  Alexander is also using AG fabric for his “Depression Era” doll.  Tim is so moved by the AG dolls’ stories, they are very “real”.  Tim thinks that Char’s look is “Cheap and Tawdry.”  He is nervous, I think he really regrets using his save, just saying. Sandhya’s design looks awful again but I’m sure she will win, lol!  It is so bad.  Tim is trying to tell her how bad it is and he feels like he doesn’t do her a service and he doesn’t understand her designs and the judges keep loving her work.  Join the Club, Tim!!!  She insists it will be beautiful.  So he says, “Carry on.”  The Tim Gunn brush off!!!

Awwww, look, someone’s crying….(gravel, gravel) This week it is Sandhya.  She thinks people don’t like her.  I don’t think it is that as much as her crap keeps winning!!  She just wants compassion, she thinks just because it is a completion no one should get hurt. She is barking up the wrong tree.  Winners get no compassion, sorry babe, welcome to reality.

IPPHO: Korina; The model is better than the look. Sean; IDK, not impressed.  Amanda; cute model sells it.  Alexander. I don’t like it.  Char; the dress is cute underneath all the fringe on the vest.  Sandhya; another clown outfit, but better than her original design. Omg, the look on Tim’s face is priceless!!!  Kini, great jacket and dress.  Emily; yeah, she is probably going home.  Alexander and Amanda are safe.

Sean; Zac says it isn’t “groovy”, needs to be more funky and the peace sign is wrong (it is a Mercedes Benz sign).  Nina doesn’t mind the vest.  Thinks he missed a opportunity.  Heidi thinks it looks like a McCall’s pattern.  Elizabeth didn’t hate it, wishes he used 70s colors. Korina;  Hiedi thinks it is clever, Zac likes it, fun.  Elizabeth likes it…wait till up close look.  Nina likes it. Sandhya;  Heidi thinks it is for a one year old.  Onesie for a baby.  Not age appropriate.  Nina thinks it is the wrong challenge.  Sandhya is dismissing all their comments.   Circus flamingo.  Not mature enough.    Not great fit.  Sandhya still likes it and all the designers are smiling. Kini; Heidi is in love with it.  Channel for kids.  Heather like it. Zac thinks it sensational.  Elizabeth thinks it is cool and wants it in her size.  Nina loves it, “Perfection.”  Char;  Elizabeth thinks it is fantastic.    They love the fringe.  The look on Sean face when they say they liked the fringe, he looks ill!!! Emily; Heidi is on the fence.  Heather thinks it is frumpy.  Nina thinks there is no joy.  The colors make it look dark.  Zac thinks it is “Oy vey.”  Elizabeth is confused.

Top Three Char, Korina, Kini.  Bottom Three:  Sean, Emily, Sandhya.

It feels like Nina is trying to find reasons to keep Sandhya over Emily. Heidi does not agree.

Kini is the winner!!! YAY!!  That is two in a row!  Sean is safe.  WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

Sandhya is OUT!!! WOWWWWW!!!  AMAZING!!!!!  About time!!!

Don’t Be Tardy “Kimmie’s Back” recap will appear tomorrow 9/20. I was hosting Bunco last night and didn’t get to watch yet! Y’all have a good day. 😀

    • Powell says:

Looking forward to reading it. I saw the kerfuffle on Twitter w/people say Kim photoshopped a pic she put on instagram of how she looks. She looks great. The epi she talks about her procedures. Haven’t people been watching Kim all these years? Kim loves taking care of what she doesn’t like w/the assistance of a doc. Of course she had a little help from a doc. Nothing wrong w/it when it’s done right and safe.

    • Princess Pindy says:

Hey Jan, the title is backwards it is American Girl Doll. My email keeps logging me out. Thanks

    • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Hope you had a good time last night, Tartsy! 🙂

      • ladebra says:

Do you win Bunc! when you play Bunco?

        • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Not this time, but I was one of six people that had 3 Bunco’s! The kitty is split half to the person with most Bunco’s and the rest is halved between who had most number of wins and most number of losses (out of 24 rounds). I had to get a sub last minute (have to have 12 players). I never played with her before and when she rolled a Bunco her body straightened up and she lit up like a bulb (big wide eyes like a little electrical jolt hit her) but she never said a word. Which was greatly different than the rest of us girls that tend to holler BUNCO like a maniac, lol. It was so amusing to watch her expression though.

  2. ladebra says:

Happy Birthday Amber!🎉🎉🎉 hope you have a wonderful day with lots of people who love you!

Thanks for the blog PP. I did the picture slide show . I agree with who they sent home, but there are a couple of others I had to squint when I looked at them haha.

It’s Friday! I’m so glad this week is over. 👏

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

      Happy Birthday Amber

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

Thank you so much ladies! Although a bit MIA… you can always come home. 😉

I’ve been overwhelmed with health concerns for RealDad. My once invincible father has become frail and at last … human. Keeping him in my prayers is a constant but as a Daddy’sGirl it has been unbearable. Dealing with PCPs who refuse to give referrals and HMOs who agree with those unconscionable decisions has been devastating. Although he his 83, I believe he still has a purpose and as long as he is willing to fight I have to support him as he has done for me all of my life.

I’ll be celebrating with RealHusband tonight and with RealFamily tomorrow. I’ll be turning the big 48 today, an age some will remember fondly, aspire to or be appalled at. LOL I”m just grateful that I made it here with my family intact even as we drag each other across the finish line, kicking and screaming or wheezing and gagging! We’re gonna do it! 🙂

      • Jan (TexasTart) says:

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Amber. I’m so glad to see you post, I’ve missed your comments! That’s funny how you remarked about the age. Very sorry to hear RealDad is having troubles and sorry you have to fight for him, I mean good gosh, what do people do that don’t have family members like you?! The system is so hard to deal with and he’s fortunate to have you in his corner. Take care and come back when you can!

      • chismosa says:

Amber sorry to bear about your dad. Wish all good health and good things for you both this year. Warm regards.

      • Oh Amber, I am so sorry about your Dad. As a Daddy’s Girl I get it!! Enjoy your day!!!

      • Stars99 #TeamT-Rex... All Day, Every Day!! says:

Oh Amber, my heart goes out to you and your dad. Your staunch support and caring for your dad during this season of his life only serves to demonstrate what an amazing dad he is because he has a daughter like you. Each act of your love validates his life… And really, what do any of us want? To be loved… Your dad must be so proud of you! My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you, your dad, and your family.

      • not THAT Jill says:

        Happy Birthday Amber!!
Sorry your Dad is having troubles-he’s lucky to have such a loving daughter to watch over him!

    • LaineyLainey says:

Happy Birthday, Amber…Real Life Housewife! Hope it’s great!

  3. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. TGIF. It’s sunny. 🌅🌅 Not to cool. I hope you have a great day and don’t work to hard. 🙂

  4. Powell says:

    Happy Birthday Amber…Real Wife.

  5. Barb (Just Wondering In Jersey) says:

Pindy, thanks for the recap. So happy Sandhya was let go. That girl has nothing but ego. She sure can’t design clothing.

    • She is delusional. 😉 I would have made a modern captain’s uniform. Maybe a cute outfit in a navy and white, with a little pink trim, with brass buttons…not too cliche but something cool. Like capri pants and a top….or a skort, lol.

      • LaineyLainey says:

Just read your recap, loved it! I never noticed how mean they are to Emily. This time, I thought Her hemline was kinda wonky and I also thought her color choices were janky (nod to Tartsy). But I will watch for that: the Emily hate. They have been loving sandihyah, Sandia, sangyah, Sonora, …from day one. She really did deserve to go home this time. I kinda liked her and didn’t hate her designs (until this week).

      • HuskerHuny says:

BINGO!!! I was thinking a sailor suit as well, but a modern sailor suit. Great minds think alike!

  6. HuskerHuny says:

Great blog PP! I’m so in the minority here, but I thought Emily’s design was appropriate for a Russian immigrant, but updated without losing the authenticity. I thought she also had a model who would have rather been anywhere else than on the runway. Maybe brighter colors would have saved her, but I liked it!

Kini’s design was amazing! Beautiful and beautifully made. Korina’s design and workmanship next to his looked elementary. I wasn’t that big of a fan of the fringe on Char’s design, but little girls do love it and she did use the AG textiles so that probably scored her points with the judges. I liked Amanda’s design (and textiles) more than Char’s.

I did feel bad for the Indian chick. Just because the judges loved her past designs and the other designers didn’t, doesn’t mean you have to treat her poorly. But she is a bit head-strong and maybe that’s what turned the other designers off about her along with her out-there concoctions.

E! network is running past Fashion Police episodes today to honor Joan Rivers. Still can’t believe I won’t see her anymore. Sad, sad, sad.

    • 2Stupid says:

I can’t believe the ENT that wasn’t supposed to be in there for the procedure took a selfie with her while she was under aneshesia. I hope Melissa gets all their licenser revolked and sues the you know what out of them. I know it won’t bring her back, but I would be fighting mad right about now. This was a loss that didn’t have to happen!

    • Powell says:

Husker yes it’s 2 hrs I think. I read an interview w/Giuliania & she said Melissa & E! execs are looking now to see if FP can move forward w/o Joan. I honestly don’t know how it can. It wasn’t just about looking at what the celebs are wearing. It’s Joan’s honesty that brings the critiques all together.

      • chismosa says:

Giuliana is speaking about it – wow.

I want it put to bed.
I’m dvr’ing something at 8 tonight that says “Remembering Joan” but doesn’t say it’s “new”.

I’m so so sad, still. And it’s lame I’m not RELATED to this woman.
I think I will just name my dog after her, the way Charlotte named the King Charles cavalier after Elizabeth Taylor ! 😝

        • ladebra says:

soooo OT, but! One of the guys in my office just got a little King Charles Cavalier, and that dog is to cute for words! those puppy dog eyes! that soft fur! just the cutest lil thing!

          • chismosa says:

i told my mother her next dog will be a KCC. They are so sweet and adorable.
And mine are getting up in age (crying emoji)
            😦 x1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

HuskerHuny – thanks SO much for saying that Fashion Police was running old episodes, I ran home and set my DVR to record all episodes!

And there is a new FP episode on tonight, I assume to honor Joan. I really don’t think they should keep this show as “Fashion Police” without Joan. I realize that’s also Melissa’s project (she was producer) so if she still wants to, I guess it’s up to E!

They should shut the door on it and have a NEW format/name show that shows us the fashion of the week. I enjoyed the specials E! did for NYFW – did anyone watch those? The commentators were knowledgeable and had been on FP numerous occasions. However, I do not think Orly belongs. I watched her on Fashion Star and that was good as a contestant, but as a commentator – no thank you.

      • HuskerHuny says:

I think E! should keep a weekly fashion show, but it has to be a 180 from Fashion Police. A few people I would like to see on it would be RuPaul, Mr J or Miss J from America’s Next Top Model. I want to keep George as well. As for women on this show, I like Kimora Lee Simmons. I would like to see an older woman just to give a different opinion. Maybe Lisa Vanderpump? I like her dry British humor, although her fashion sense isn’t all that great now that I think about it. Not as classy as Joan was. What do y’all think?

    • A lot of the models sold the outfits. I don’t think the outfit was very comfortable and that net over her head, lol!! The first time she blew at it I would have taken it off of her!! She looked miserable. Did you see her yawn and stretch??? The other girls looked like this was not their first rodeo!

  7. Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Thanks for the great blog, Princess Pindy!! 🙂

I hope you all have a terrific weekend

I agree with you Powell, about Kim getting all her nips and tucks here and there. I think her butt looks much bigger too a la Kim. K. So that looks new to me.

    Happy Birthday Amber….Real Wife!

  8. Powell says:

Last night on Twitter I tried to get Tamara to “get” understand why what she said about Amber was wrong and she needed to apologize to Amber but I don’t think she did/does. I was on Twitter and just so happens ABC tweeted a story about a mother dying from cancer and her dying wish for her son to be raised by her nurse. She and her nurse became very close throughout her illness. She’s a single mother w/no family that she felt could take care of her so she asked her nurse. Her nurse was touched. Told her to think about what she was asking. Her nurse told her husband when she got home and her husband said they had to help the lady and her son. They agreed. The lady got so sick she couldn’t take care of her son. The nurse asked the lady for her and her son to come live w/her family. She agreed. When she moved in the nurse told her she couldn’t be her nurse any longer because she was family. She went into a nursing home for a bit. She’s doing better today. This summer they all took a family vacation together.
I asked Tamara would she want Amber to have to go thru this. Meaning would she want Amber to have to worry about her kids because she knew she was going to die. How could anyone not care if someone lives or dies w?a debilitating disease? Tamara later tweeted me she wonders if the woman took meds Amber’s husband sold. I didn’t tweet her back. I almost did but I could see Tamara just didn’t get it and that’s sad.

    • T-Rex says:

Powell, sorry she’s an idiot and in my opinion, I have read other crap she has spewed, I am just said that she has spawned children that will be raised by her sorry ass! Sorry but lots of drugs that are on the market today were do to their side effects, which is kinda what Jim’s old firm did. Here is the company that did this and got away with it it’s a little blue pill called VIAGRA!!! VIAGRA started out as a heart medication, it didn’t work very well, but what folks figured out was that at a certain dosage it made men’s “nether” regions react in a way a lot of men were happy about! It was sold and marketed as a heart medication, although most docs were prescribing it for the “boner effect”, until it was finally approved for sale as the “boner pill”. So I look at it as this other Twatter idiot blogger is, from my opinion, one of the most IGNORANT folks on the planet

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

How can someone NOT get that? I’m of the God fearing mindset and I expect to be struck by lightning if I were to entertain such a vile thought! Okay, we know there’s people who do far worse things and are not struck by lightning, but I personally believe that bad things come to you in return, one way or the other.

      • Exit4 says:

She’s convinced herself that he harmed people. She’s nuts. Not worth the time.

        • T-Rex says:

If “she only had a brain” she would do some research to note that NO patients sued them, the government did for promoting the drug for something it hadn’t been approved for, NOT that it was harmful, which it wasn’t. I can’t stand STUPID, IGNORANT people like her that won’t educate themselves to the facts!

        • Powell says:

Exit if he/his former firm did or didn’t is beside the point. And she should get that. It’s about a woman that has a history of an illness that she has no control over. She’s a woman, mother, wife, daughter, friend etc. Yes all of the HWs have said or done stupid things at one time or another. I like some of them I don’t like some of them. But I would never wish an illness on any if them. I don’t like what she said and I would never wish illness on her and I suspect she wouldn’t like it if anyone wished illness on her. So I just don’t get her attitude regarding this.

          • Exit4 says:

Your right. She’s simply one of those people who cannot separate the show from actual reality. Cancer is not a storyline. She’s so focused on Jim and his “wrongdoings” that she doesn’t understand or want to understand anything beyond that. She thinks cancer is karma and she’ll never see it any other way, especially because she doesn’t like them. It’s a losing battle dealing with someone like her. It’s really sad.

FINALLY!!! Sandhyena is gone, gone, gone.

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

    • chismosa says:

I was ok with her when the others kept attacking her and not liking her so I liked she was “IN YOUR FACE HATERS ✋ JEALOUS MUCH?”
But it’s fine she’s gone;I like the girl that was saved.

How is alexander the fan fave

huh? Does he have paid people voting?

I’m annoyed because we’ll have to see Amanda at the finals. 👎💤😒

Good that Sean was taken down a peg (or however that expression goes).

And the american doll thing was cute, I still don’t quite understand what they are trying to do- make clothes for girls to buy AT the store to wear themselves ?
I’ve just been driving around the area of TAG store on 5th ave so I’m about to go cra.
There were people standing on line at the apple store for about 10 blocks.

And people were camped out at the apple store up the block from my house last night. My mother said I should go and offer them coffee and snacks. LOL

Most were Asian who were probably buying the limited amount max they can buy. That’s how it goes. They’re paid to do that.

      • chismosa says:

—– “and sell them in China “- I didn’t finish my last sentence.

        • Yes, they sell clothes for young girls to wear. I am telling you they sell EVERYTHING they can make a buck on!!! Last night my daughter was telling me more than I ever wanted to know about American Girl stuff. I don’t think I realized HOW MUCH she wanted that stuff. Just listening to her go on and on, I felt a little guilty that she never got the damn doll….but hey, that’s life. I never got my “Vanity by Ideal” so that I could be “A little girl becomes a little lady with a Vanity all her own, by Ideal” so there is that!!! It is all about the $$$$$

          • Exit4 says:

OMG I have friends with little girls who have the dolls. They’ve gone up to NYC and have them get their hair done (the dolls) and do tea parties. It is a racket!!! They’re cute and it’s nice that they’re set up with historical stories and all that, but it’s a major investment! My niece wanted one, so my MIL asked me about it and she nearly died when I told her the doll and book are over $100 each! So she is still doll-less, unless her mom got her one, which I doubt.

          • chismosa says:

Thank you – i had no idea. I KNOW about the fad and whole culture of it- as i see throngs of women walking the city with the huge AG red shopping bags with their younger gals- so i know they’ve been there- and been taken for a ride for sure!

The woman who was on PR from the co. last night was SO young- she was there for 20+ years- she must have been some sort of intern when she started- she looked so young!

And i can’t believe they came out in 1986 and i didn’t want one? i was a big cabbage patch and barbie and jem doll beeeyotch. (of course, my little pony and that jazz too)
            I don’t get how i ‘missed’ this.
I believe at the time they only came out with 3 or 4 original AG’s.

          • Powell says:

My mother’s God daughter got one when she was little. I think she only got two more outfits. They’re as expensive as an adult’s but they are lovely dolls. I’m a sucker for dolls. I still have my Barbie, plane and camper. I have two collectible Barbie’s too.

          • LaineyLainey says:

Santa brought my daughter a Samantha, Addie and Josephina doll. Not all at the same time, and then in following Christmases, Santa Claus brought Samantha a nightgown and a matching nightgown for my daughter. We still have it all. We found a Samantha dress (for my daughter) at a thrift store …that was a happy day! The dolls didn’t cost me a thing! They were from Santa! Heh heh…We read all the books together, so it was a great bonding experience for us. As a child, I had a Mrs. Beasley. I still have her! That was my best Christmas. I opened the box and cried with joy and draped my body over the box…I can still remember my mom and older sisters watching me and looking at each other…rolling their eyes…and saying ok, ok, enough. Who’s next?

            • Wow, Santa must have loved her more than my daughter!! I had a Chatty Cathy!!

              • LaineyLainey says:

LOL, PP! You’ll have to ask Santa about that! One of my sisters had Chatty Cathy. My younger sister had “Dancerina” she was not cuddly.

My mom never allowed us to have Barbie’s. She thought they would promote low self esteem because real women can’t/don’t look like that. Which is interesting considering she was from very very humble impoverished beginnings, not formally educated, but she stood firm on that Anti-Barbie thing. She also wouldn’t allow us to eat Twinkies and other foods like those…because she said there was no real food in them and worried they were too chemically. She had us watching ballet and listening to opera. We didn’t even know to appreciate it at the time, we were embarrassed that she was so “uncool”

I totally caved with my kids, my daughter along with her three AG dolls had sooooooooo many Barbies! Since I grew up on not eating “fun food” I occasionally served gross stuff like corn dogs until my then 7 yo. Son said “mom, please stop serving me this, I don’t think it’s real food. Didn’t you notice last time that nobody likes them? “. He said he tried to feed it to the neighbors dog (who used to visit us) and even the dog wouldn’t eat it. Haha!

But I digress. Did your kids have a cabbage patch doll? My son had one “Montgomery Gerard” he loved it, daughter had one…she was like “meh”

                • No Cabbage Patch Dolls, the church I was going to said they were from the Devil, lol! I was a new christian and I didn’t believe the Devil had dolls….but I thought they were ugly. My Dad did get my daughter a cute little black baby Cabbage Patch doll that he got on clearance at Walmart cuz he thought it would be funny….it was her favorite doll.. Bella. My Dad was the original troll.

Great recap, Tiara! I fell asleep just after the critiques and completely missed who was voted off the island – So your recap saved me from having to rewatch it…. I have been mystified at the Judge’s excessive and misplaced love of Sandaya’s designs for the last several weeks… It made no sense to me. I canNOT believe they voted her off! Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, baby!! And yes, those models have been to this rodeo before… lol.

Hi Guys, I’m leaving for the Cape in a little while. Tomorrow is our big day. Please say a little pray for me so that I don’t fall or anything stupid like that. I’ll be home on the 27th.

PS….When Lynn found out that I was engaged, we talked about weddings. She told me all about hers. I’m having her wedding song played for us to dance to. *you’re my angel

    • Boston!!!! The day has finally come! Your mom will be watching from heaven along with Nurse Nancy and Lynn. We are so proud of you. I will say a prayer for you and your future husband tomorrow. All of us here will be with you in spirit.

Congrats Boston!!! So happy for you. Nice that you could do that in memory of Lynn.
We I got married last November my shoes kept getting stuck in my dress up and down the isle and I kept almost falling. My mom had to keep me up and fix the dress as she walked me down the isle and my groom had to fix it as we walked down. I just laughed it off cause it was hilarious and OF COURSE that would have to me as I’m such a clutz and I usually wear heels very easily but I wore flats so I wouldn’t trip from being nervous. Lol. Anyway I hope nothing like that happens to you.
Just remember that the day will go by in a blur so be sure to pause at some moments and take in the details that make it special.

Congrats, Boston! Savor every moment… You’ll do great – Everyone there wants it to be your special day and you will be totally fine… This weird calm washes over you because you know you’ve made the right decision for your life… Everything else is icing on the cake… Btw… does your cake have any bows on it? Just wondering… Enjoy and congrats! What a great tribute to Lynn, btw… =)

  13. Happy Birthday Amber..Real Wife! Thank you Pindy for the recap. Roosevelt documentary is great. Ken Burns is the man. American Girl is one reason I am happy that I had boys. It is a racket.

“I won’t be able to keep track of these dolls, so I will just watch what happens, oops wrong network.” Good one, Princess! 😆

What does IPPHO mean? Driving me crazy, I feel like I am missing something

  17. Laineylainey says:

I regret to inform fashion Police that the only cast member I ever liked was Joan Rivers so I will no longer be watching FP.

  18. Laineylainey says:

I cDNT even watch the tribute on E! Because I could not stand to watch the hosts. They are not interesting.

    • Jan (TexasTart) says:

The show was a very good highlight selection – ‘best of’ Joan on FP. I can not believe Melissa and E! think they can or should continue FP without Joan! That’s just wrong…it will no doubt be a failure.

  19. chismosa says:

    Princess– GOT MY peel today!
    So scared ! LOL.

The directions are great – as all reviews said they would be. But no mention of baking soda. Huh.

Going to ask my derm Monday about all this.

Thank you Princess Pindy for the fantastic blog – In NoMoreDrama’s humble opinion
