S6E11 “Pack Your Bags and Get Out!”
And the fight continues. I’m not sure what Jim was trying to accomplish, but it’s pretty obvious that he’s going to cause an altercation wherever he goes and is best left at home. I have no clue what Amber sees in this man, except for dollar signs. Bobby comes back out to confront Jim. Jim continues to tell the group that Bobby has another girlfriend and claims to have seen pictures of her. Bobby denies everything. Amber just wishes that Jim would shut his mouth. She says that he is “at war everyday.” Jim’s excuse is that he didn’t want to be involved with these people and that he didn’t want to come. So you ruined everyone else’s trip because you didn’t want to be there? Amber is so worked up that she has to smoke a cigarette. Dina goes outside to comfort Amber. Joey decides to talk to Jim man-to-man and tells him that his big mouth is his problem. Jim doesn’t want to hear and doesn’t care. The girls decide not to hold Jim’s actions against Amber. Nicole feels bad that her husband has started this huge fight.
Back inside, Jim gets onto Amber because she smoked a cigarette. Dina is sorry that Amber is married to a dick. Teresa sticks up for her sister and Jim chooses to go after Rino, who isn’t even there. Jim says that Rino tried to sleep with Victoria Gotti and that he did sleep with Teresa’s mother. He’s smirking and laughing the whole time. He is loving the conflict. Amber admits that Jim messed up, but she’s going to stick by her husband. He doesn’t think that he caused any of the conflict though. Dina admits that what Jim said is what Victoria Gotti was saying. Teresa becomes very upset and blames the girls for talking about her. Dina says that she wasn’t talking about anyone, she was trying to keep the rumor to herself. I actually feel for Dina. She wasn’t spreading the rumor and wasn’t discussing it with “the girls.” She kept it to herself.
Flashback to Amber and Jim. Jim doesn’t think that he’s done anything wrong and doesn’t feel badly about his actions. Jim has somehow convinced Amber that the twins started the fight. He is so proud of himself! And she’s just loving it now. Umm, he’s the one that started the fight in Florida. I agree that the twins shouldn’t have attacked Amber at the first responder party, but Jim needs to get over it. This man doesn’t let go of anything. To me, Jim seems like the type of person who has to feel superior to other people. He seems to enjoy stirring the pot up and then feigning innocence when things explode. Like poking a bear and then saying ‘why did the bear attack me?’ Jerk.
Back in New Jersey, Teresa is cooking dinner with the girls. Milania is getting some of her own attitude from Audriana. Teresa is glad that she stayed in New Jersey, instead of going to Florida. I bet after the fight that occurred, she’s really glad! Juicy announces that he wants to take the girls to his mother’s so he and Teresa can have a date night. Teresa says that they used to go out frequently, but have cut back.
The next morning, Teresa decides to leave because all of the girls were gossiping about her. Actually, they weren’t gossiping about her, Jim is the only one who brought it up. She decides to go stay with Rino at their Florida house. Nicole doesn’t blame her sister for wanting to be with her husband. Jim is in the kitchen, fixing breakfast for everyone. Melissa refuses to eat breakfast and play nice with Jim after his behavior. Amber plans to fix everything because they are all supposed to go yachting together. When Joey says that Jim was out of line, Jim says that he was just having fun with Teresa. He thinks Teresa needs to chill out. I think that Jim is a horrible person. Dina confronts Jim, saying that he was out of line. Amber expects Teresa to just move on and says that he was just giving Teresa what she deserved. When Jim continues to assert that he was telling the truth, she politely asks Jim and Amber to leave.
Jim is pissed that Dina is acting as judge and jury. I don’t really see it that way. Everything was fine until Jim started a fight and then escalated the situation by repeating horrible rumors. He was completely to blame and Amber should admit that. Dina admits that Amber tried to shut down Jim, but she wasn’t successful. Amber is upset that she’s being kicked out for what her husband did. Well, he’s your husband and you have decided to stick up for him, even when he continues to be a jerk.
The group makes the best of things and goes yachting. Everyone is exhausted. Bobby says that Jim didn’t used to be like this. He’s glad that he didn’t see Jim be that aggressive. Nicole wishes that he would stayed with her, instead of hiding in the bathroom. Bobby admits that he should have, but says that he didn’t want to get involved. The group agrees that they won’t mention Jim again. The couples are bonding and everyone is having drinks. Bobby is trying to keep up with Joey’s drinking. Dina thinks that Bobby is just trying to be one of the cool kids. Dina doesn’t think Bobby is with Nicole for the right reasons and questions how Nicole felt without Bobby’s support. I think Dina should keep her opinion to herself.
In New Jersey, Kathy and Jacqueline have lunch. Jacqueline is happy to have a true friend in Kathy. Chris is working with Nick, so that they ladies can catch up. Jacqueline admits that they struggled with Nick’s diagnosis and that most couples don’t survive an autism diagnosis. Kathy understands how Jacqueline feels because she and Rich went through a similar situation when their daughter had a brain tumor. Chris and Jacqueline are having a date night, and Kathy suggests that the two play a memory lane game. Jacqueline says that she has reached out to Teresa and gotten a short response. She thinks that Teresa will reach out if she needs help. Kathy wants her to be cautious and careful. She isn’t giving more of herself to Teresa.
The couples have date night. The Laurita kids have gone to Caroline’s and they cook dinner. Jacqueline tells her husband that Kathy recommended that she not reach out to Teresa anymore. Chris agrees that, based upon the short answers they have received, they should back off. Jacqueline misses her friend and it hurts that she isn’t the shoulder that Teresa leans on anymore. She believed that their friendship was on the mend, but it doesn’t appear that Teresa will truly forgive. Chris says that he doesn’t think that Teresa ever forgives. The two talk about how tough the last few years have been and their upcoming move. It isn’t reasonable to hold onto the house, so they are selling it. Chris feels guilty that he can’t provide the same lifestyle anymore.
Juicy and Teresa are spending the night in the city. Juicy makes a nice toast. Teresa says that Juicy has always made her feel safe and loved. She knows that they have challenges, but she still loves her husband. It felt a little forced to me. But maybe that’s because I know now that they haven’t really cut back on anything and continued to lie to the courts.
The Florida group is having dinner. Melissa and Joey think that Bobby may be down for the night. Nicole isn’t happy that he is passed out, but she’s going to enjoy the chef anyway. Dina is the next to make it to dinner. Nicole is going to bring Bobby some bread after dinner. Poor Bobby. A car arrives at the house and the group realizes that Teresa has returned, with Rino. I know that I started the season not sure about Rino, but he has grown on me. Teresa loves the warm welcome and says that she made the right choice in coming back. Rino can’t resist trying to get Bobby up, but there’s no luck. Rino tells the group that he chooses not to be around Jim because he says the most outlandish things, but that he now wants to make the best of their trip. He says that he would have tried to make light of Jim’s accusations, but Teresa was hurt because Jim brought up her mother. Bobby finally makes an appearance and the group is altogether. Shots are poured and Joey toasts the fun they’ve had.
