Dina Manzo Goes Toxic on Twitter over Project Ladybug

Dina Manzo has a history of going on twitter rants and deleting them, but yesterday she stepped over a huge line and had tweeters livid when she attacked a blogger who passed away over two years ago.  It so happens that the blogger in question is the one this blog is named after – Lynn Hudson.  Even if that wasn’t the case, I’d be blogging about it.  It was wrong on so many levels, and all Dina really accomplished was ruining what should have been a good day for her charity Project Ladybug as it was showcased on National TV.

The fundamental issue seems to be how touchy Dina is about the finances of Project Ladybug.  Someone on twitter tweeted this:

Someone tweeted it to Dina asking if it was true, who jumped to the conclusion that it had something to do with Lynn Hudson’s blog, and tweeted:

Dina’s tweet about Lynn brought her all sorts of well deserved incoming fire on twitter.  Many people just asked her to stop out of respect for Lynn’s family.  She didn’t.  She continued to respond and tweet nasty things over a period of many hours.  Perhaps she was deflecting, because she never really addressed the original question as to why so little of the money collected by Project Ladybug went to the children.

The story many of us have heard was that in 2010 or so Jacqueline Laurita provided Project Ladybug paperwork to bloggers, including Lynn Hudson. Lynn did have the papers posted on her blog.  I agree with what Namaste said in yesterday’s blog, if you are going to donate to a small charity – or any charity, do your research! Make sure your donation is going where you think it is. There is nothing wrong with providing information.

So we have Dina going toxic on twitter and attacking a woman who can not defend herself. Then – because this family isn’t dysfunctional enough – we have Jacqueline Laurita chiming in and claiming that she wasn’t the one that leaked the papers to Lynn – and said it might have been DS (or Danielle Staub). (Thank you PP for that exchange with Jaq – she’s had me blocked since the day I joined twitter.)

Danielle denied this explicitly when I asked her:

I believe Danielle. Jacqueline had a close relationship with Lynn over many years, and often provided her with gossip and her own interpretation of the ‘facts.’

The bottom line is Dina went toxic and showed her true colors.  Jacqueline couldn’t resist jumping in herself.  These two haven’t talked in years – and most of us assume that one of the reasons has to do with Jacqueline leaking Dina’s information to the blogs.

I have zero respect for either of these women.  Zero.

It’s finale time!  This year’s finale party is Dina’s Ladybug charity event.  Remember that she’s worried that the twins, Amber, Teresa, or any combination thereof, may cause a scene.  I’m sure that the Jersey ladies would never ruin a nice event with their fighting, haha!  These ladies have been ruining nice events with their table flipping, hair pulling antics since season one!

The episode begins with Teresa and Juicy entering court on the day of sentencing.  We’ve already a well written post on the sentencing, so I won’t go into detail.  Juicy was sentenced to 41 months, while Teresa received 15 months.   I think by now we know that the long sentenced were partially due to the continued lies about assets.

Flashback six months… Melissa is visiting Teresa.  The sentencing is approaching, which is a much larger issue than anything going on between the ladies.  It’s kind of nice to see the cousins playing and the ladies getting along.  What a difference a year makes.  Teresa wants the kids to sit and play games, but the girls want to play rough and tumble.  I say, let them be kids, as long as no one loses a tooth.  Teresa is trying to stay strong for her girls, though she admits that not every day will run smoothly.

Teresa A and Nicole are visiting their friend, Abbey, who has offered her house for the ladybug event.  Dina arrives to help plan the event.  Abbey has some very large dogs!  I love Great Danes!!!   (We later get a clip of Teresa hiding from the huge dogs in the closet.)  Dina tells us that the event is oversold, which shouldn’t be a problem at Abbey’s huge house.  She wants everyone with negative energy to stay home.  The twins will be emceeing the fashion show, so everyone has chipped in to help Dina.  The twins are nervous about the character of some of the people attending, such as Teresa.  They know that she met with Victoria Gotti after an event, but Dina assures them that Victoria will not be at the event.  It’s more than clear that Teresa A has not forgiven Teresa.  In her talking head, she mentions that karma is a b*tch, clink-clink.  She’s not holding anything back at this point.

Off to Amber’s house, where she’s cutting her hair for the first time in five years.  Her kids hope that she doesn’t go back to bald.  She tells us how hard it was to lose her hair to chemo and to grow her hair back out.  She decided to grow her hair from chemo to five years post-cancer, then donate the hair to charity.  I have friends that have donated hair to various cancer charities and think it’s an amazing thing.  It’s very emotional for her mother because it means that Amber has been cancer-free for five years.  She gets the first cut.  Amber’s hair is still really long, even with the length gone.  Amber’s daughter cries when she sees her mom with shorter hair, but Amber explains the reason for cutting it.

Melissa and Joey are breaking ground on their new house.  Melissa is soo excited to get out of their “small” house.  She was nervous about his investment in garbage at the beginning, but says that he’s pulled it off and hopes that it will be successful.  She rides on the machine while Joey digs the first hole.  They both realize that they are lucky and feel bad for what Teresa is going through.

It’s the day of the ladybug event.  Dina is just as hands on as she used to be.  She is in charge of every aspect of the décor and food at her event.  There is a candyland theme, which is super cute.  She’s lucky to have a loyal staff, even though she admits that she can be very intense while working.  Melissa’s kids are walking in the fashion show, so she arrives early.  She’s worried that there will be an altercation between Teresa and the twins.  Milania also arrives early, because Milania is also walking.  Dina is getting primped, while Teresa hangs out.  Milania just wants to attack the candy, but Dina doesn’t want her to be too hyper during the show.  Good call.  Teresa lets Dina know that she hasn’t seen the twins, but that she doesn’t want there to be a fight.  The twins had two weeks to call Teresa, but didn’t.  Dina wants everyone to be calm and happy, and not have a fight at her event.  Teresa plans to stay away from conflict.  We’ll see how that works out.

It’s party time!  Amber is one of the first to arrive, with noticeably shorter hair.  She decided not to have her daughter in the show because of her issues with the twins.  Rino and his son are close behind because his son is walking in the show.  The twins, Bobby, and their parents arrive later.  They are discussing Teresa on the way.  Teresa A tells her mother that, despite all of Teresa’s issues, she still has time to talk smack about other people.  She’s still convinced that Teresa was the one who caused the whole thing.  Yes, Teresa shouldn’t have told Dina, but she didn’t run around town spreading the rumor, and she wasn’t the one who told Amber and Jim.

Kathy, Rosie, and Richie attend.  He’s just as annoying as ever.  The twins avoid Amber, which creates an awkward situation.  Teresa doesn’t think that she and Amber owe anyone an apology because the rumor originated with Rino.  It’s time for the fashion show.  Milania is careful to stuff candy in her bag before she runs upstairs.  Love that girl!  The kids do a great job!  Melissa thinks of Milania and Antonia as mini versions of herself and Teresa.  Milania sure has some attitude, but I’m not sure about Antonia.  During the show, Amber pulls Rino aside to apologize.  Rino tells her that he would never talk about Amber or her family.  He thinks that Jim is not a respectful person and is appalled that he would spread rumors about a woman and her family.  Rino and Amber agree to put it behind them and move forward.  I have to say, Rino has handled the situation with class, though I think it was incredibly tacky of him to even joke about sleeping with his ex-wife’s mother.

Of course, the twins chose to confront Teresa.  Did anyone really think that they wouldn’t?  Bobby warns them not to expect an apology.  They approach Teresa and Teresa A says that she was shocked that Teresa would repeat such a rumor.  Teresa explains that she repeated the rumor to Dina so that she would be protected if Amber twisted the story around.  Teresa A wants people to stop spreading rumors about her and that she doesn’t understand why Victoria Gotti would spread rumors about her.  She starts to call Victoria an animal, then decides that calling her animal is too nice.  They ask Teresa is she’s stupid.  As Dina points out, that’s her button.  I’m proud of Teresa for not blowing up.  She maintains that Victoria is her friend and that she didn’t say anything nasty about Teresa A.  Teresa A asks Teresa to please leave any rumor about her family at the curb, with the trash.  Teresa agrees.  She sees herself in Teresa A, admitting that they both get upset about stupid things.  Teresa A plans to move forward.

Nicole tells us how emotional the last few months have been.  She’s lost a friend (Amber) and gained a friend (Teresa).  Amber is sad that Jim isn’t with her at a cancer charity event, since she’s never been to one without him.  Dina thanks the women who helped her with the event: Nicole, Teresa A, Amber, Teresa, Melissa.  She has seen some change in everyone, and grown some herself.  Melissa doesn’t know where the whole group will go, but she’s glad that she has a good relationship with Teresa.  Teresa admits how worried she is about everyone else.  She is sick, so she has to leave the event early.

And we’re back to sentencing day.  Bravo worked quick to get this footage into the season, since the sentencing happened after the season began airing.  I kind of expected it, because we know Bravo would never let something as juicy as the sentencing go by without catching everyone’s reactions.

The reactions begin with Kathy, Richie, and Rosie.  They learn that Juicy will be sentenced first.  They are concerned for them.  They are shocked to learn that Juicy was sentenced to 41 months (3.5 years) and possibly faces deportation.  Their main concern is how his sentence will affect the family.  They wonder if they should have been there.

Nicole and Bobby know that Teresa didn’t want anyone there with her.  She thinks that Juicy will definitely get some time.  Jim tells Amber that Juicy has admitted an alcohol problem, but that Juicy withheld assets from the court.  Amber hopes that the judge isn’t as hard on Teresa, but Jim thinks that she will face some time.

The Lauritas join the Wakiles to hear Teresa’s sentence.  Jacqueline has a bad feeling about Teresa’s sentencing.  Everyone is anxiously awaiting the prosecutor’s statement on Teresa’s sentence.  They all learn that Teresa was sentenced to 15 months.  They both must pay restitution.  Teresa will report in January and Juicy doesn’t have to report until Teresa’s sentence is complete.  Amber is shocked.  Nicole and Bobby are also shocked.  Richie is the first to receive the news.  Kathy, Jacqueline, and Rosie are very upset for their friend and cousin.  Nicole isn’t sure how to explain the sentence to her sons, but plans to tell them that actions have consequences.  Amber says that she would rather go through cancer than what Teresa faces.  Jim doesn’t think so.  He thinks that cancer is much worse.  Chris thinks that Jacqueline should reach out to Kathy.  Jacqueline isn’t sure that Teresa wants to hear from her, but Chris points out that she was well-received at Juicy’s father’s wake.  She decides to send a text of support to Teresa.  The group is led in prayer by Rosie, who asks for compassion and strength in their family.

(Note from NMD – I’m glad Joey and Melissa didn’t participate in this part of the episode – the whole situation just makes me feel depressed.)

According to Bravo’s website, next week will be a Secrets Revealed episode, followed by the 3-part reunion.  Looks like there will be lots of hard questions for Teresa and Juicy, so we’ll see if they answer or dodge again.

  2. 2Stupid says:

I don’t know if you all watched WWHL last night, but if I didn’t dislike Teressa before I do now. She basically said she apologized for what she said but that it really wasn’t improper. She wouldn’t back down about that Teresa had wronged her and that jackass Rino was praising her in the audience when they showed the clip of her saying karma and clink clink. I mean her family is not perfect and I think it is pretty sanctimonious for her to act like that. On another note-WTH did they show Kathy and Wacky’s reaciton to Teresa and Joe getting sentenced. I told believe for one secong that hypocritcal bitch Kathy cares for one second about Teresa going away. I cannot stand her, Rosie, or that jerk she is married to. They all deserve each other!

    • Foxymel11(Mel) says:

Right on, 2stupid! Can’t stand Kathy and Company!

    • mrs peabody says:

agree 100% about all you said, Kathy doesn’t care an ounce what happens to Teresa, she probably did a happy dance when she got home. I also do not like either of the twins, for that one to blame Teresa was just stupid. The only one to blame was Rino, he said something so stupid to begin with, what did he think was going to happen. Victoria G is the one who put it out there and Bravo broadcast it but it’s Teresa she’s mad at. Unbelievable. Looks like someone was trying to have a story line. Did you see their face last night on WWHL when they announced the poll results and Teresa got 51% as favorite housewive, they were pissed. Face it this show will be over when Teresa leaves.

      • Exit4 says:

I don’t think she’s leaving. They’ve got enough time to film her before she goes to fill up a good amount of season 7. I really think we’ll see joe and the girls a little too. If there’s a season 8-and if trex is right that she’ll be out in feb 2016, right in the middle of filming for season 8. Then we’ll see her return. It’s all my guess obviously, but it’s doable and it would be pretty seamless.

        • mrs peabody says:

I think it will probably fall just right for her to be filmed for season 8 if they have one. I don’t really think they are going to give up that story line, she’s the golden egg for them.

      • Powell says:

Yup. Tre is the show. They’re all jealous of her.

      • kit9 says:

That’s right and how did Victoria get on the show? Teresa. How did Bravo know she had a bomb to drop on a castmate? Teresa. No way in hell Teresa didn’t know what was going to happen. Zero.

    • Powell says:

      👍👍👍👍👍 Right on sista.

  3. jezzibel says:

Project Ladybug is a hobby charity with questionable financial practises, Dina needs to stop acting like she’s running a charity that is in the league with “the Susan G Komen Foundation” she’s not . I wouldn’t be surprised at some point to learn that Dina’s hobby charity was used for money laundering, tax cheating or to line her own pockets with the proceeds(divorce is expensive ya’ll).

    • Rebecca can't understand why people don't appreciate the importance of dragons. says:

The same with Lea Black’s gala. The charities are about throwing fabulous parties that they don’t have to pay for out of their own pockets. If they were really in it for the fund raising, they would have people soliciting comped venues, food, and gift bags.

      • MM in OC says:

I think they only have to give 10% of proceeds to charity to be classified that way. i’m on the fence on this one. I don’t think Dina is misappropriating funds, but I do think she isn’t sparing any expense on the events (which easily run $75 – $100 per head dependent on alcohol, etc). I personally wouldn’t give money to her charity. There are tons of great childrens cancer charities. I won’t touch a charity that doesn’t have less than 15% in operating expenses.

    • Just the thought, makes me sick. Large charitable organization also has issues with how much (all legal) you donate goes directly to the cause. I know that St. Jude’s and Feeding America, are two organizations that the money you donate, goes I believe 100% to their cause. Off topic, I can’t stand when my local grocery store asks me to donate every week to their cause. All that money will be represented by that store.

      • Anne says:

If you want to get information about what percentage of donations actually goes to the charity’s mission, go to GuideStar.org. GuideStar reports on all non-profits and also makes the annual Form 990’s available to the public. (You have to register but there is no fee for the basic service). It is useful information if you want to make sure that your charitable donations are actually being used for services and not for administrative or overhead expenses.

I haven’t watched RHONJ since season 2, but this post about Dina Manzo’s twitter comments really irritated me, since Project LadyBug’s 990s are publically available and anyone can research them. So, I did a little research of my own.

From what I can tell, the blogger questioning the percentage of actual spending on the children is drawing the information from a summary of information from the 990s that was made available on the site she referenced. I went to GuideStar to check on the actual 990 filings. The most recent one published is 2012, but that is not unusual and does not mean that 2013 is late (extensions of time to file are easily obtained).

What was very interesting is the list of officers and directors at the end of each Form 990. First, Dina is listed as both president and treasurer. Typically, with small organizations, the secretary and treasurer positions are combined. The president usually has lots of responsibilities (per bylaws) and so does the Treasurer. It makes more sense to combine secretary (usually just minute taking/distribution and meeting coordination) with treasurer (all the financial reporting) to better balance duties among the officers. Also, because usually, there are forms and other documents (federal, state, sometime checking/banking) that need to be signed by both the president and the treasurer and it is better (from an internal controls perspective) to have 2 different people in those roles.

Second, Caroline Manzo is listed as a director in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Form 990. It was my understanding from reading the blog, that Caroline and Dina aren’t speaking — so I wonder how they manage to have board meetings (typically one per year is required by most state laws — most non profit boards meet more frequently) and conduct the business of the non-profit.

        • jezzibel says:

I take cat and dog food down to my local animal shelter or I shop at their onsite thrift store(run and managed by volunteers and stocked with donations), I know who my donation is going to.
The Mormon church is very good about donations, and getting them to where they need to go with no overhead or cost, I remember reading stories about Hurricane Sandy, while the Red Cross had its thumb in its rear, the LDS had people on the ground going door to door bringing much needed supplies to people in need of them(I’m not Mormon, but I recognize good works when I see it).
Dina’s charity has suspect written all over it.

        • Veena (NMD) says:

Thank you for all the great info. It seems to me that Caroline and Dina stopped talking when Dina left the show for the first time – maybe 2011 or possibly 2012.

        • I was on Guidestar last night, too. I believe the previous year’s 990s get published after the 3rd quarter so we should probably see 2013’s soon.

        • Amber says:

It’s appears that Project Ladybug is behind the feud between Dina and Caroline.

“This charity has been a source of contention in the Laurita family. According to an insider at RealityTea on March 10, 2012, most likely Jacqueline, the Laurita sisters started the charity together in 2007, the year Dina and Caroline signed contracts for RHONJ, but Dina took it over for herself during taping of the first season in 2008:” https://famewhorgas.wordpress.com/category/project-ladybug/

Anyway, it’s my guess that core issue between Dina and Caroline is that Dina uses the charity to promote herself. She’s the only founder, she’s in the party/catering business, blah, blah, blah. Thus, she controls and suppresses anyone else’s contribution that might overshadow her. Who knows, but that would piss me off.

After coming across the above mentioned site a while back, I took a look at the 990s and unless lying to their bookkeeping firm, I don’t see anything irregular. There is nothing wrong with not having all expenses comp’d when throwing elegant function fundraisers. If, in fact, there were salaries, or evidence that Dina was ever paid for services, someone needs to turn all that into the IRS because that’s not right. Otherwise, I’m missing something here, because from this view, just don’t get it.

          • Exit4 says:

The person who brought this out years ago (not Lynn) was insistent that if dinas running a “real” charity 100% of donations should go to the kids and didn’t want to hear anything else. That’s just not the case-even with the big guys. It’s like a business, everything you do to promote it, travel, advertising, events, mailings etc costs money and not everything gets comped. Even if she draws a salary-CEOs of the larger charities make pretty big money-that’s not wrong, it is a job. PL is in good standing with the state-if there was something really off they’d probably have caught it by now-it’s regulated. I’m sure someone has called the state-again-time will tell I guess.

            • Amber says:

I would have an issue — huge issue — if the President/Treasure of a small foundation drew a salary. But Dina doesn’t and, on top of that, from the 990’s, the foundation brings in an excellent return from fundraising/operating expenses. Again, I don’t get it unless someone’s cooking the books.

The state has zero to do with Project Ladybug’s IRS standing, other than Project Ladybug is incorporated in the state of NJ, I once saw a NJ not for profit ratted out for questionable practices, including paperwork submitted for incorporation and the State couldn’t have cared less. Alternatively, the IRS did care and came down hard.

              • Exit4 says:

Jim marchese is on the case now! He has a lot of jobs doesn’t he?

                • Amber says:

I just read his tweets. Ugh!

I’m no Dina fan, especially the ridiculous braid she sported while filming the reunion, but all this chatter is downright silly! Back to work for me! 🙂

            • I’m on the board (secretary) of a small non-profit. We are registered with the IRS and with the state. No one on our board receives a salary, despite putting in tons of time for necessary functions, fundraising events, and our community events.

  4. Foxymel11(Mel) says:

    Rest in peace, WindyCityWondering.

Thank you for the great blog today. IMO, there’s no chance in hell that Dina will ever forgive and move on with Jacqueline for ratting her out like that. Also, I can’t believe Dina would be so vile to a person who’s passed.i love how Princess Pindy called Jacqueline! Go Princess!!
Does anyone know why Jacqueline tried to ruin Dina by leaking this info. To Lynn? Or has Jac just always hated her ?

I hope you all have a nice day. 🙂

  5. Powell says:

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a relaxing weekend. I think Fall has finally fallen. It’s chilly willy out. Sighhh. Oh well. Have a great day.

  6. jezzibel says:

Another Thing, Dina is pissed(she covers it well, but its there) that Teresa chose another charity, rather than hers, when Teresa was on Celebrity Apprentice, probably because it takes an “alleged thief” to know an “alleged thief”.

  7. boston02127 says:

I have no kind words for Dina. I saw it all on twitter yesterday. ZEN my a**. She’s a nasty person.

  8. boston02127 says:

I have Dr Phil on and David Foster and Yolanda are on. The show is titled Anything Men Can Do Woman Can Do Better. Yolanda was introduced as David’s fiancé. I looked up the show and it was taped in 2011. I thought they were married longer than that.

I won’t even go thru what they had to say about the topic of the show. I think they’re both idiots.

  9. Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

    She’s coming back-for real!!

    • Exit4 says:

I’m actually happy about this! I’m kind of over her-but it’ll be interesting.

      • HuskerHuny says:

I never watched her talk show because I think she pulled the wool over my eyes with her song and dance about wanting to be married and the whole nine yards. But I will give her another try. I think she will be fun to watch with Heather and Carole. Hoping she keeps Bryn out of the camera’s lens. That will probably lead to more turmoil between her and Jason. Probably will anyway. I like it even more because I can just see Jill steaming about not being asked back!

        • plainviewsue says:

I don’t think Jason would allow Bryn to be filmed. I think Bethenny would be fine with that. B is surely not doing this for money. The drug of fame.

        • Powell says:

We’re sure to see the JZ tweets when it airs. Don’t let the ratings be low cuz she’ll tweet the ratings would have been better if she were on. Poor thing. 😉

    • ladebra says:

I like to watch Bethenny. Always have. And, I’m really glad that he’s coming back! For this I will watch NY!

      • ladebra says:

lol.. SHE’S coming back.. I can’t even blame that on my iPad. just fast fingers.

        • Jill...no not THAT Jill says:

I’m happy she’s coming back-I just hope she doesn’t bring you know who with her!!

          • Exit4 says:

I wouldn’t even mind if Jill came back! She’d be a mess trying to become the queen-when heather and Carole have taken that role! I hope we see bryn! Seeing people in the mom role is sweet and shows a different side of them. I think Jason is a little bit of a douche canoe, he should take the money and run off quietly!

            • Powell says:

We’re you drunk this A.M. Exit? JZ? I don’t want to see her AT ALL. 👎👅

              • Exit4 says:

                I wish!!!! Lol.

                • I Need A Life! says:

ladebra, I feel the opposite towards Bethenny. I don’t want to see her. What will she peddle this time? Damn. Another season without NY for me. Last year I couldn’t take Aviva’s husband and I feel so blah about the other ladies.

  10. Exit4 says:

I’m on a tear this morning! Call me “Angry Exit”! Lol. But it oddly relates to my opinion of the dina situation! Twitter behavior aside, which was stupid of her and she needs to calm down-the implication that’s been made, based on liking or not liking her, is that she’s stealing from her charity. That’s not right. I’m all about questioning where the money goes for any charity and believe me, even the big ones don’t gove 100%. But to take those numbers and go all the way to theft is wrong…something similar happened to me today. Someone didn’t have their facts and made a totally wrong assumption-and embarrassed my little guy and me! Angry Exits on a rant-Sorry!

    • HuskerHuny says:

I never donate to a charity where I don’t know EXACTLY where the money is going. If you were to google some of the biggest charities/non-profits in this country, you’d be surprised at how little of every dollar given is actually going to those who need it. I tend to donate locally – Boys Scouts, local schools and churches, United Way (which supports the non-profit I work for so I support them and their other agencies because I know the money stays here), etc. Do not ever call me for a donation – I never give to phone solicitors.

      • Exit4 says:

We do that too. I never give over the phone either. My mom is really active in her church and gives time. She volunteers at the church soup kitchen in Atlantic City, makes sandwiches every other week for the homeless shelter in AC (she buys all of the food as do the other volunteers). They also have monthly open house type things where they give out clothes etc. Last year she met a young couple who were having a baby and had basically nothing. Barely any money, they worked in the casinos. One of the other volunteers knew where they lived and I unloaded a bunch of my baby stuff, swings, pack and play, high chair, baby tub-a lot of which we had 2 of because I’d keep one at home and one at her house. They brought it over to them and they cried. They were so grateful and called them Angels. That’s the kind of thing that makes me feel good, when you know you’ve helped.

        • jezzibel says:

I probably shouldn’t have gone commented that Dina uses her charity as her own personally piggy bank, I think it’s commendable that she gives her time to a cause( I do question her motivations though) and also if she has nothing to hide, why get ugly about it?. I was mildly pissed off about her twitter comment about Lynn and thats not a good reason to call her a thief.
I think there are a lot of great charities and charitable people out there who do more good with no overhead and a boots on the ground approach, than some of the massive ones do with fundraisers and gala events.
Exit not only did your mom help a struggling young family in need, but they will at some point pay that charity forward for someone else.

          • Exit4 says:

I hope you don’t think I was picking on you! I wasn’t, a lot of people had the same opinion going back years ago. I think because of those accusations, she gets hostile. That jac played even a tiny role in it probably makes it worse. She seems to be the type who doesn’t think she owes anyone on Twitter or a blog an explanation. Which I kind of get, because with some people, when they decide you’ve done something wrong-no matter what you say-they’ll keep finding fault. She still needs to calm down though. Think before she acts.

            • jezzibel says:

No not at all, I can see getting fed up, with people thinking she is cheating her own charity , getting old and getting annoyed about it. I was angry that she brought Lynn into it, in the most disgusting and vile manner , and if she apologizes it’ll be to get the backlash off her, rather than being sorry about what she said and meant.

          • Powell says:

If she did nothing wrong she should have just kept her trap shut and not commented at all on Twitter.

    • Rebecca can't understand why people don't appreciate the importance of dragons. says:

Exit, I think the shoe remarks were flippant and just catty, but not to be taken seriously. I think there is misappropriation to be researched when a full charity gives less than 10% of the incoming funds.

If Project Ladybug is legit, why is Dina so defensive????

  11. OneMoreInBoston says:

    good morning all-

So Lynn did talk to Wacky Jacky- but found her information to be somewhat unreliable.

Lynn had 2 other sources very close to the cast (but not in the cast) that provided her with the Project LadyBug financials and other information about the show. And yes- Jac did introduce them to Lynn.

So Jac is not necessarily lying…

Lynn never spoke to Danielle to my knowledge and I was talking to her every day sometimes twice a day- I’m pretty sure she would’ve told me.

    sigh- Windy’s with Lynn now.

  12. OneMoreInBoston says:

btw- that lady who had the LadyBug event in her house? With those awesome huge dogs? Lovely house but wth? with that hair?

  13. shamrockblonde says:

WCW and all of her care will be in my prayers this night – a gracious person with more class in her pinky than Dina has in her whole body – she is with Lynn and Nancy – they will never feel pain again, never be afraid, and will remain in our hearts for all time –

*hugs OMIB really hard* it is good to “see” you again my friend –

as for Bethanny – I will watch with the sole intention of knowing that Jill who is seething knowing that her face will not appear on the show!!

  14. Butters'Mom says:

Hey gang. So sad about Windy. I hope she and Lynn are having a fine time gossiping about the Howives…

I felt like I was gut punched last night when I ready what that A**hole Dina tweeted about Lynn. I was always sort of “who cares?” about Dina but she has managed to change that to my now sincerely disliking her. I believe the technical term for someone like her is douche. I actually tweeted about it last night “@dinamanzo shame on you. What kind of person disparages a dead woman to misdirect people from their own wrong doing? Shame on you. #RIPLynnH” Gosh I miss Lynn so much. I wonder all that time what her take on the Felons would be.

Miss you all. I still read everyday at lunch and appreciate all the time and effort everyone puts into keeping this blog going.

  15. Teb2350 says:

Been a long time since I commented but I had to come say RIP to WindyCityWondering. She was so fun. Prayers to all involved

  16. shamrockblonde says:

*hugs Butter’s Mom really hard* – good to “see” you! what a fine trio of angels we all have watching over us – Dina doesn’t stand a chance – and OMIB is correct on that technical term!!

    • 2Stupid says:

Wow, it’s great to see some old familiar names around here today. WCW would appreciate you all coming on the blog today. NMD menitoning Q the other day, Lynn being brought up yesterday, and you all being here today takes me back to two years ago when we everyone dissected (sometime fought) but wouldn’t let those HW’s get away with anything. I enjoyed every second of being on the board then and now!!!

    • Butters'Mom says:

Thanks Shamrock. Hugs back to you my girl.hugs to all of us today. It is always sad to lose another board member. Great to see some of the old friends stopped by today too.

  17. T-Rex says:

So hard to read about WCW. She was a wonderful contributor. I’m also in Chicago. Sad. Special hugs to you, Cusi.

The comment about Lynn last night did not come, “out of the blue.” I like to think that she’s blogging from above. Apparently, Jim Marchese is looking into the finances of Lady Bug. Might finish where Lynn left off.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

wow. It’s nice to think Lynn is somehow still blogging. I didn’t look at it like that.

Jim is outtacontrol with PL finances on twitter. Can’t make up my mind about this guy.

  18. Three Blessed says:

Haven’t been here in a while… RIP WCW

Hi Three!! I remember you…you inspired me to quit smoking. I remember you mentioning quitting. It took me a while to actually take the plunge, but I am now 6 1/2 mo. smoke-free! Hope you’re doing well.

      RIP WCW

  19. T-Rex says:

Regarding that BITCH DiabolicalDina someone needs to twat her sorry ass that at least Lynn wasn’t a hooker who is sleeping with her two-timing husband in exchange for rent! AND that she married a man strictly for a roof over her head and a closet full of shoes while he slept with half of new jersey and did so a couple of weeks before her wedding and continued just after their honeymoon, which is true!!

    • rabblerouser2010R says:

ITA, A tired old whore with a closet full of shoes..yet so unmistakably boring and dull at the same time.

    • Limespider says:

My thoughts exactly! It is a really great message (said with great sarcasm) that Dina’s sending to Lexi. Being in a loveless relationship with a man (who’s not my child’s father) is better than not being in one at all. They get to have a luxurious roof over their heads. Their behinds are carried around in luxury automobiles. And finally, there is that closet full of shoes, more than anyone could wear in a lifetime and that are probably worth a fraction of the thousands and thousands of dollars she paid for them. No respect for relationships and definitely no respect for money. If Dina had gotten her life on track a long time ago, she would never have had to do Real Housewives of New Jersey in the first place.

    • kit9 says:

I’d always liked Dina for the most part but I had no idea what a truly nasty human being she was until recently. Just not paying attention to her extra curricular activity, apparently. I didn’t know she said in her blog that she imagines people’s funerals until the reunion previews. Wow. And just recently saw that tweet about rat poisoning. Now this? She’s really so far beyond the pale that I now see why she and the nasty, truly awful vile human being and soon to be Federal Pen resident,Tre, get on so well.

    • Powell says:

BIG hugs to you too T-Rex. You’re our Shero. 🙅🙅 🙂

      • T-Rex says:

You know it really makes me NOT mad at Amber bringing up her cancer all the time after having another LynnFamily member passing and we have a few others here also fighting besides me. Five years victory is huge, she has other faults, but not going to biotch any longer about her numerous cancer references. I will tell you I had to travel this weekend on a plane(first time since diagnosis and was alone), had to have wheelchair assistance for the most part, and since I wasn’t elderly, a lot of people kinda looked my way with skeptical eyes, so had to explain I had spinal surgery for cancer, and it just seemed to fall out of my mouth, I don’t like she is using the issue TOO much on a reality show, but I kinda now get it, if that makes sense.

        • Powell says:

T-Rex it does kind of make sense. I don’t watch but from reading the blog and I did see maybe 5 minutes of epi one, Amber says it like she wants pitty. Maybe that’s why I’m tired of hearing/reading it from her. It’s not a “I had cancer, kicked it in the ass(like you T-Rex) and I’m great”. IDK.

  20. Good Morning everyone! RIP Windy. We are sending your family our prayers. Veena is right. Dina could have stayed off twitter and let it rest. It was wrong on so many levels.

  21. I Need A Life! says:

Here’s what I’m obsessed with after last night Jersey….
    – Crop tops on middle aged twins. Gorgeous bodies, but when do you say, “I could be Taylor Swift’s mother.”
    – So disappointed that Tre didn’t just pour her drink over the twin who called her stupid. That’s why I watch. Isn’t she the twin who is still dating Bobby? Who is stupid?
    – Abbey’s mansion was clearly built as a venue for parties. Nice tax break.
    – In the preview for the reunion, one twin flashes her leg so we can see how glam she feels, then tells us she’s like Dorothy. But she IS. She does need a brain. She does need a heart. And she does need to go home.
    – I wanted to hide in the bathroom when they attacked Gotti on WWHL. Oye. Who is stupid? One phone call and that restaurant starts to lose business. Gotti wrote afterwards…”You can mask the odor of an onion with perfume, but underneath it still stinks. Hide
    – Why not have invited Gotti and Rino instead of the twins to be guests.

    • Oh! How much fun would a Gotti & Rino interview have been? Maybe we’ll get lucky on the reunion!

    • mrs peabody says:

I got the feeling the twins were just trying to stir up trouble so they could be the next stars of NJ. They can try all they want but without Teresa that show is nothing.

      • I Need A Life! says:

Mrs P, I got the feeling that the twins were brought on the show to be slaughtered. From the get go they had to fight the rumors of breaking up a family, then their mom. If I were these women, I would not have been cordial to Andy. He would be the person to approve and then release the story of the mom & Rino. THESE little girls need to grow balls. Not Tre. Really. Where is the interview with Santa? Why so quiet.

    • Powell says:

Andy probably will have VG on.

  22. LaineyLainey says:

Hi friends! I’m back in Texas! It was great seeing my girl, but it’s nice to be home.

My sympathy to Cusi and Veena and windy’s family and anyone else here who knew WCW. So sad to hear the news.

I was following the Dina thing on twitter yesterday, it is really weird that she would jump to the conclusion that our dear friend Lynn was the source for the online speculation about her charity yesterday. She had said that the use of the big house had been donated and then it was revealed that the homeowner did it for profit. Bravo paid them. So technically it didn’t cost project lady bug,…but the use of the house was not donated. Then other questions started being raised. She was out of line to bring up Lynn in such a cruel and thoughtless and disrespectful manner. But that’s Dina! So Zennnnnn. A great example to us all. Ah, heck, she’s human,…nothing special. Like the other housewives, it’s all an act. Not very good actresses, huh?

Ok, our trip to SUR. We arrived early for our 8PM reservation. We walked in, the hostess was. super cute and friendly…so she directs us to the bar area and there are some people sitting at the bar but we chose to sit at the low tables that are surrounded by sofa like seats. Comfy. It was really dark in there. There was a glowing light behind the bar and there were candles everywhere. We had to utilize my iPhone flashlight to read the menu because it was so dark in there. Guillermo was there and is handsome in person. We joked because,…” Is he really cute? It’s so dark in here!” We joked about how for all we knew the place was gross,…”but who would know, it’s so dark in here!” Then we busted up laughing because I told her for all we know there’s a family of rats right by our table, but,…”who would know, it’s so dark in here!” Well we made each other laugh all night because we kept making “it’s so dark jokes. ” We had wine which made the jokes funnier, I presume. appetizer was goat cheese balls, then we shared a Belgian salad, entrees were blackened scallops and angel hair pasta. For dessert we had the blackberry cobbler a la mode. Total damages with tip $150. Not too bad. The food was super fresh, delicious, the ambience (tho dark) was special, kinda romantic and the service was great! Our waiter was a Argentinian young man and he was very friendly and helpful. We skipped the $10 valet parking and parked around the corner where parking was only $1 per hour. It was the highlight of my trip. The next day my daughter posted a pic on Instagram and guess who liked it and started following her? Guillermo.

I hope you are all well.

    • Rebecca can't understand why people don't appreciate the importance of dragons. says:

Glad you had a good meal at SUR, but what is a Belgian salad? Were there waffles on it? Brussel sprouts? Was it made by Jean Claude Van Damme? Or can you just not know because it was so dark in there?

      • LaineyLainey says:

Lol! It WAS super dark! Hahaha! But the Belgian (non waffle) salad was endive, Carmelized pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, with honey pear vinaigrette. I would have loved a Belgian waffle on the side, by the way.

One girl came to clear our dishes and she was super tall like my girl. Her dress was soooooo short, gorgeous legs. I asked my daughter, “wd it be rude if I pointed out to the young lady that she forgot her britches?” My daughter said, “she is wearing pants, mom… you just can’t see them because,…wait for it…ITS SO DARK!” Howling. Yes, the wine was good. LOL

I was going to ask you if it was clean because my friend who had to peer in the door (closed day) said it looked grubby. But I guess you couldn’t tell due to the dark!

  31. chismosa says:

Can someone explain to me about Ambuh:

Her hair cutting : i thought the people and charities who accept hair – take VIRGIN hair— and REAL HUMAN hair. (plus i thought it had to be minimum 10/11 or somewhere there- inches? she seemed to give way less imo)

When she was at the fight when one of the banshees pulled her hair- and clumps came out- was that her real hair? Was that extensions?
Because when the woman was spritzing and combing out to do the full ‘cut’ last night – it didn’t seem significantly thinner than at FIGHT night/ hair pull-night.
What organizations accept faux hair??? Never heard of THAT.

So am i to surmise her REAL hair was pulled at that fight???? no way.

    • MM in OC says:

The editing on that scene was REALLY bad. I actually rewinded it a couple times. Brushed out, then pig tails, then brushed out then pig tails again. WTF???

It doesn’t have to be virgin hair anymore, but it does need to be at least 10 inches. There is no way they cut that much off. More fake sceneS!!

      • chismosa™ says:

That’s great that you can donate colored or relaxed hair. I should do it. I didn’t know they had changed the rules a bit. Awesome.

Yeah super sketchy. The scene- chopped ✂️

Their daughter has such overpowering hair on her tiny frame, they should have given her a trim – poor thing.

    • When the stylist measured it, she said it was 30 inches (not sure if that is from the crown or the nape of her neck) so I believe she donated 10 inches which still left her with good length. I have donated my hair several times over the years AND I can honestly say I have VIRGIN hair which is almost unheard of! LOL!

“I think that this is “our” WindyCityWondering (I’ll let her confirm or deny) and I’m not happy with Dave’s answer at all! First of all WCW isn’t the only one who would like to know the answer to that, secondly, it was a bit snarky, WCW asked a valid question and the response of “the answer is still the same” was a bit nasty, then why even respond to it? So that you can be a bitch? We KNOW you were defending her to the fans, who else would you be speaking to? Your answer explained nothing! No one understands how you can defend Kyle, she didn’t even defend herself, she admitted she was wrong and apologized. Don’t be so nasty Dave! No one likes a producer who is a bitch!”

Wow did Chris and Jacq really do this? From the blog archive above^^^
    Maybe it’s a hypothetical

Sooner or later it will all come out. I am sure if RHONJ was filming when Chris and his brother spent over a million bux to hire J-Z to preform at a party, only to be followed by filling for bankruptcy, there would be more disgust and outrage.

    • T-Rex says:

Chisy-I haven’t heard this before but they were sort of “sideways” involved with Rocawear something Jay-Z started but does not own. I haven’t seen anything so far about this in the bankruptcy information and if it were true, I think that this info would be all over the internet and blogs, but it isn’t. Not saying it didn’t happen but so far I can find zero to support this.

    • ladebra says:

I never understood the Wendy Feldman value, but having said that, it sounds like Wendy thought the request for serving at Danbury might annoy the BOP. That’s not good.

      • Orson says:

I don’t know how much harm asking can do, but annoying the BOP would be a bad thing for Tre to do. But considering her past performance with annoying the Judge, I can see that happening. Tre might find out the hard way that the BOP can send her to Georgia. For that matter, do they HAVE to keep her East of the Mississippi?

        • T-Rex says:

Orson, the recommended distance to be housed by the BOP is 500 miles. The two closest that fit this are the Danbury location and the West Virginia location. Danbury is NO LONGER accepting inmates, so she can petition all she wants, she will probably be denied. They are only housing those with children under two years old within the 500 mile radius and with those who within the next year would have to appear in court for their trials. Most of the Danbury inmates, who did not have relatives within the 500 mile radius, nor children under 16 years old, were sent out to the new Alabama Federal Prison, a few were sent to West Virginia. The BOP does what they want, they do not even have to abide by the 500 mile rule, but if they can, they do. From what my Fed-Friend said she will probably be housed in the West Virginia location that housed Martha Stewart. The ConvictFelons still do NOT get that they are C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L-S, and Convicted criminals, they don’t get to dictate to the BOP where THEY want to be housed.

        • Powell says:

Chismosa, Ladebra and Orson I guess Tre knows it’s serious but continues to not listen to those she is paying for their expertise. But like my mom would say when I was a kid, “A hard head makes a soft behind.”. I think the only way Tre and Joe will truly GET IT is when and after they’ve served their time. They’ve been portrayed on NJ and have shown in real life that they have “bad ass” attitudes. Their fellow inmates will test that. Especially Joe.

      • T-Rex says:

La-Deb- It’s NOT good, if Wendy is saying that, ConvictFelonTeresa broke a lot of protocols sending out what she did. Let’s not forget that they fired their attorneys, now Wendy has left them, think rats-sinking-ship I guess. I would love to get a hold of that missive that was sent to the BOP, but if they make any DEMANDS, and not a certain way, the Feds may ship her out to Alabama, they have that authority. I don’t think they will, but since Danbury is basically closing up, not sure how the BOP would send her there, and as I posted below, my Fed-Friend thinks that she will get the West Virginia location which falls close to the 500 mile radius that the BOP recommends. Wendy called these to ConvictFelons the most Narcissistic people she had ever met, guess they wanted to make sure to live up that!

        • Exit4 says:

It imbedded in the story. They’re making sure the language in the judgment reflects what was said in court and what the Guidelines say. Camp vs detention center.

          • T-Rex says:

Gotcha! I would have doubted they would have sent ConvictfelonTeresa to the MDC centers, as again these are for those that are awaiting trials, sentencing and are currently or will be witnesses in upcoming court cases. So this is Feldmans “excuse” to finally jettison these lyin felons from her client list. Again, my Fed-Friend was pretty certain even without the letter they sent that they were going to send her to West Virginia, or he said on they could “possibly” send her to Alabama, but he didn’t think with her having small children they would do that.

We know she didn’t design them but I just can’t see her wearing a few of the pieces. They don’t seem like her style. I like Lu’s stuff better than NeNe’s.
And RIP Oscar de la Renta. What a fantastic and glamorous designer. I don’t know who the head designer is now but he was grooming his step daughter for yrs to take over the company. I bet Amal will treasure her wedding gown even more.

Well Kelly-been-Someone-kookooCrazy-beans, has certainly lost her smattering of marbles regarding the issues, since she twatted up a storm about B over the weekend, from what folks posted here. Oh, and her Ex-husband sold the apartment she was living in, in manhattan(he owned it and was allowing her to live their with their kids), not sure where that horse statue went. She still has access to the Hamptons house, I don’t think that’s fully in her name either, think the Ex still owns that as well, been trying to find out for sure. I don’t think she has a place at all in the city any longer, as Giles is no longer housing them on his dime in manhattan.
