Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Guess Who’s Coming to the White Party
Lisa Made Up with Everyone but Me!
We are starting with our good friend, STFU simply because she posted first…Brandi tells us how they write the blogs by addressing what they felt at the time of the episode and not how they are feeling now. She tells us her visit to Yolo’s place was after filming Celebrity Apprentice. She then tries to make us believe she was kicked out of her home for no darn good reason. Right, cause landlords can just kick you out cause they want to have a tea party in their house.
We see Kyle planning her annual White Party, which she claims has become the event of the year in Beverly Hills with everyone trying to get on the guest list. I’m sorry, but it’s not the Vanity Fair Oscar Party if you have invited your chiropractor. I think she is feeling a little too self important.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I agree with her. However, I do think Brandi is jealous that Kyle and Lisa have made amends.
In Lisa’s interview she says she has done nothing wrong within this entire group of ladies and that she is going to wait for each one of us to reach out to her. This comment is interesting to me, because I feel like she may be in a bit of denial about her parts in our arguments and some of the hurt she has caused throughout our disagreements. Yolanda and Lisa have lunch and very easily move forward. We then see Kyle and Lisa at lunch putting all past issues behind them incredibly easily considering the things that these two have said about one another. I keep remembering back to Lisa saying Mauricio is only friends with people if they are selling their house, tabloid gate between the two of them, making inappropriate jokes about cheating in front of a 5-year-old, and the list goes on forever. Lisa tells Kyle she wants to move forward and put the past behind them, not bring it up ever again, and be loyal forever…and so it is. I’m hoping when I see Lisa at the White Party it will be just as simple and easy for the two of us to move forward.
WOW! Brandi is still jealous of Lisa’s relationship with Kyle and that Lisa can forgive Kyle and move on. I think Brandi’s betrayal was harder on Lisa because Lisa had let Brandi become emotionally close to her and she doesn’t do that with a lot of people.
Getting ready for the White Party I’m overly anxious because of my unresolved issues with not just Lisa Vanderpump, but also Adrienne Maloof, whom I was told would be attending as well. I had such a life-changing, positive summer that I made a deal with myself to find resolution with people and stay in as much of a positive head space as possible.
I am actually surprised that Adrienne would be willing to speak to her at all. She has ever reason to be nervous around Adrienne. And shame on her for being mad at everyone for remembering the horrible nasty things Brandi says out of anger. Brandi needs to learn to bite her tongue and take her own advice and STFU!
Once I finally made my way over to the group to say hello, I realized after Lisa’s cold and childish reception towards me that things were not going to be so easily fixed between the two of us. I decide to try my luck with Adrienne who was much more receptive and kind considering our tumultuous past. I was nervous to speak to her, but after our talk and her agreeance to meet up for coffee, I was relieved. Adrienne looked great, had a hot young man on her arm, and seemed to be in a happy place, so good for her! Lisa and Ken leave the party without saying goodbye to me, and I’m guessing without having a yummy Fatburger, seemingly having made up with everyone but me.
I don’t believe that Lisa treated Brandi “cold and childish”. I think she was simply polite. Did you want her to grab you and kiss you on the lips and tell you how very much she wants you to talk about her behind her back while she and Ken pay for your drinks at Sur? I am surprised Brandi didn’t try to pick-up Adrienne’s date. Brandi goes on to complain about Lisa’s talking heads. She then drags Sheana in cause ya know, she knows how to let those sleeping dogs lie. I hope Lisa reads this and is reminded why she doesn’t need Brandi as a friend…
Kyle and I have Always had a Bond
The Divine Mrs. Pump welcomes us to the fifth season. She is surprised that she finds herself here again, but I guess the Benjamins came a callin’ and she couldn’t help but say YES! She tells us the opening of Pump was demanding, but enjoyed her time away from the group to recoup and gather her thoughts…and hopefully some delicious one-liners! She addresses her “staged” make-up with Kyle and why she did not tell Ken…cause she knew he would discourage it.
Kyle and I have always had a bond and many have tried to sever that, trying to divide and conquer. We have had a multitude of shenanigans and giggles late into the night, always sparring and enjoying each other’s company, but things have sometimes been more complicated and often resulted in many misunderstandings.
I kinda love these two together. It is like Lucy and Ethel and they are just fun to watch banter. I don’t like when they are mad at each other.
She had invited us to her yearly White Party, so I accepted, only too well aware that the possibility of encountering Miss Glanville and her minions was rather likely, but never mind. I knew this was an inevitable situation and one I was prepared to deal with, but in the most dismissive way I could, without being offensive. To acknowledge her was all I was willing to offer, really. The relationship with her had been an experience that I could never forget and would never comprehend, so to be civil in a group setting was all I could muster.
I thought it was a polite greeting from Lisa. I really would have been so surprised had she greeted her with more than just a polite hello.
Yolanda and I had lunch a few days prior. Kim had called me, and I had spoken to her after so many months had passed, and I felt that all were eager to cleanse ourselves of the negativity and start afresh. If only we could rewrite history, pull the pages from the book that had ended so horribly, I am sure we would, but life isn’t that generous. We have to live with our choices and enter into the next chapter forewarned and forearmed.
I wonder if Yolanda brought her some fresh lemonade. I wonder if Yolanda actually ate lunch. I wonder if Kim talked about turtles and complained about Lisa not attending the grad party. I wonder if Kimberly ever sent Lisa and Ken a thank you note. I am filled with unanswerable questions.
Lisa tells us this is an exciting ride. She promises it will be complicated, but filled with laughter and a rebirth of old friendships. Lisa seems to like the new cast members. She thanks us for our support (mine specifically cause I know we would be BFF…if only) As always…
Fasten Your Seatbelts
Yolanda claims to be so excited to be back with us. Malibu is quiet and she misses her girls. Gigi is in NYC with Tim Ford and Bella is an IMG model. Anwar is in high school and still at home. King David is of course doing great and has made a Christmas album. She seems to still be battling Lyme disease. She is only functioning at a 60-70% so I guess we are supposed to cut her some slack. She is currently at a clinic in Seoul, Korea as she writes this blog.
After 50 years of trials and errors, I know now that most of the time people don’t change and when someone shows you who they are to believe them! I think that the most honorable people are not those who never make mistakes, but those who admit to them when they do. We learn from our mistakes and we should try our best to “right” the “wrongs” we’ve made.
Wow, Yolanda is so very profound. I wish I could have her on my shoulder to whisper to me how to make good choices…
I am excited for you guys to meet our new friends Lisa R. And Eileen, both really great authentic women that are adding a very much needed new flavor to our ensemble.
Yeah, she says that now, but I am sure the shit is gonna hit the fan later in this season and it isn’t gonna be pretty.
I am excited to be blogging with and for you over the next couple of months. I love and appreciate the time you take to share your opinions, even though we might not always agree, I respect your freedom of speech and respect this blogging process.
I am asking in advance to please keep things classy because the most powerful debates are spoken in a clear and respectful manner. All seven of us are mommies of children that are existing in the social media world, so please be sensitive to the power of your thoughts and words.
I promise to be respectful if you promise not to be pompous. Cool? She tells us to fasten our seat belts because while this journey is fun, it is a bumpy and crazy ride. She promises it’s gonna be good. I will hold her to it.
Lisa’s First Impression of the Ladies
Before I start I must say, I know Lisa (Billie) from Days of Our Lives and later watched her on Celebrity Apprentice. On days, she had that short shaggy hair and beautiful full lips. Then a plastic surgeon got ahold of her and well, it went a little wonky. I forgive her cause she got the lip implants removed a few years ago, but her lips never went back to normal….anyhoo, Lisa is excited to be on the show. We shall see how long that lasts. She calls Kyle’s party “lavish” and was pleased to see Camille, Taylor and Adrienne. Was she drunk?
Speaking of the White Party, I have to absolutely credit my friend Kyle for always putting on such a phenomenal bash. I have been to every single one of her White Parties, and year after year, she outdoes herself. Wait. Let me rephrase that: Year after year, Kyle and her boobs outdo themselves! I mean, come on. Did you see how amazing they looked? And in that insanely gorgeous dress, too! But on a more serious note, I have known Kyle for 10 years now and am so happy that we have gone from friends who chat in the grocery store to dear friends that can count on one another.
Wow, this is a whole new level of kissing ass that we have not seen. I hope they remain friends at the close of the season. Lisa was introduced to Kim through Kyle and she got to know Kim more on WWHL. She calls Kim her “little turtle friend”. Seems as though Kim and Ramona might have a lot in common.
Would you believe that Yolanda and I have known one another for 25 years?! From then until now, Yolanda has always been such a class act and radiates a certain love and light that is simply breathtaking. Like I mentioned on tonight’s episode, she can walk into a room and own it. I admire her style very much and respect what a wonderful wife and mother she is.
And now we come to the portion where we kiss Yolo’s caboose. Lisa is really spreading the wealth.
And Lisa. My darling friend, Lisa. I have also known her for upwards of 25 years. We first met at a bridal shower where we hit it off instantly. We lost touch for quite some time when she went back to Europe but had the good fortune to reconnect when they opened SUR. I get such a kick out of Lisa and her sparkling (and very naughty!) personality and absolutely adore her and Ken. But yes, I am absolutely with you Lisa, while I love you two to pieces, I’m not quite up for the swinging thing to happen, either!
And here would be the point where we kiss Mrs. Vanderpump’s hiney. I have a feeling she won’t be kissing Brandi’s. Just a little inkling I have.
Unfortunately, I was only at this year’s White Party for about an hour before Harry and I had to leave for the Mad Men series wrap party, so I didn’t get to mingle with Brandi or participate in the dance party, but there’s plenty more fun still to come…
So that explains it. She had to go to a VERY IMPORTANT party (I am a Mad Men fan so I gotta say, that party would have been my first choice and I would have sent Kyle my regrets. I mean you can have a FatBurger anytime, right?) Lisa says she was really excited for us to meet her family. I have to say, they kinda seem very normal. The girls came off as sweet and loving. Harry was playful and even the “nanny” or “housekeeper” at the table seemed to be part of their family. I think it is kinda cute that Lisa refers to Harry (she will now refer to him as HH) as King of the House. Let’s hope these two don’t fall for the HW Divorce Curse that so many before them have.
Brandi was Looking for Trouble
Kyle welcomes us back for the 5th season. She claims this will be “an exciting, fun-filled season with all the craziness that comes with life’s ups and downs.” Funny, I don’t ever have to go through my closet for a full white wardrobe to wear to a party. I guess I can’t relate to their “Beverly Hills Problems.” Kyle also reminds us how the ladies are supposed to write the blogs as though they are still “in the moment”. She promises to do her best to be objective. Oh Kyle, please don’t! That wouldn’t be any fun!
We start out this first episode with the planning of the White Party. This has become a tradition for our family. We didn’t do the White Party last year, because we had Sophia’s bat mitzvah around the same time we usually do the White Party.
I do remember wondering where the White Party was last year since I always “attend” and thought I had misplaced my invite. Good to know I was wasn’t overlooked.
In the episode I said it was the party of the year that everyone wants to come to. Certainly there are bigger, more glamorous parties than my White Party. I meant compared to what the party used to be and that people in town know it’s in June and will start asking about it, as well as asking to bring friends. I think people look forward to it, because it feels like summer is finally here.
I know Brandi took a stab at Kyle for this statement, but for Kyle’s circle of friends, this might very well be “the party to kick off the summer”. Hell, I will problem end up at an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party sometime soon, but I have never been invited to a White Party, but if I was, I am sure I would drop a Fat Burger on my gown the moment I took a bite.
It was funny to see Yolanda discovering the guy who had set up shop on her property. Too funny. It was sweet that she let him stay and wished him success. Yolanda and I are both preparing for our girls to leave for college soon, and I am terrified.
I was actually pleasantly surprised at Yolanda’s reaction to this guy on her property. Should would have been within her rights to ask him to leave and call the PoPo. I thought she was very gracious and polite to the “squatter”.
Lisa and I picked up where we left off last year. I reached out to Lisa and asked her to meet with me. Lisa and I had always been close. In the past couple of years, we have had our moments and a lot of obstacles to work through. However, life is too short, and I wanted to talk it out and be able to start from scratch. I missed the days of us just laughing and having fun. I wanted to get to a strong enough place where we wouldn’t go backwards again or let outside negativity influence our friendship. I think that in order to do that you have to have these conversations. Brushing it under the carpet and just “moving on” is always a temporary solution.
I gotta say, I love these two when they are friends. They are playful and I can relate. They take jabs at each other and each can give as good as they get. I think sometimes Kyle becomes sensitive and the Lisa’s jabs seem cruel. I am glad they are friends, but know the fairytale never lasts.
I am so happy to have Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson join us this season. I’ve known Lisa Rinna for years, and it’s fun to have her be a part of this. Eileen and I met during a guest spot I did on Days Of Our Lives. I think you will enjoy getting to know both of these great women.
It was great seeing Lisa R. with her kids and Harry. There’s nothing I love more than seeing a home filled with love and happy chaos. Lisa was a lot more calm than I would have been if Mauricio brought in a baby rattlesnake. I found myself wanting to yell. “The babies are the most poisonous, Harry!” Lisa and I only live a few minutes apart, and we also find scary little visitors in our yard!
I am excited to see how these B-list celebrities blend in with the crew. I could see Kim being jealous that these two ladies still have careers well into their 40s.
It’s finally time for the White Party. I was excited to have everyone in our home and kick off summer. It was so nice to have Adrienne, Camille, and Taylor there. Everyone was in a great mood and ready to have fun. Although some of the women weren’t on the best of terms, it seemed everyone was willing to put it aside for the night.
It was nice to see all the ladies there…but where was Dana? What about Marisa? I was so glad we didn’t have to see Faye and her fake tan. Also nice to hear Camille say she and the “psychic” had a falling out. I hope she doesn’t put a hex on Camille.
Brandi came in and seemed to be uncomfortable and looking for trouble from the get go. She was invited like everyone else and had no reason to feel unwelcome or that the women were “mean girls.” I think considering everything that has happened, everyone was being nice and just trying to enjoy their night.
I gotta agree with Kyle here. Brandi felt uncomfortable because she felt guilty for all the horrible things she had said about these ladies. Unfortunately, instead of changing her behavior she reacts like a 7th grader. I fear she will never grow up.
I am glad that Brandi and Adrienne are planning to meet up and talk. This is something that should have happened a long time ago.
I hope Adrienne reads Brandi the riot act. I know it was never “disclosed” but we can all assume that Brandi told everyone that Adrienne used a surrogate to carry her twins. Who the F cares? Half of Beverly Hills uses surrogates. I realize Adrienne maybe talked as thought she “carried” the twins, but who really cares? I did actually “carry” my twins and let me tell you, if I could have had a surrogate do it for me, I would have! I was on bedrest for 13 weeks! I lost 18 pounds from all-day-sickness. I had an allergic reaction to an anti-nausea medication and got lock-jaw. A surrogate would have been God-send!
Kyle thanks us all for tuning in and she looks forward to sharing her life with us! Yeah right, we will check back in a few weeks and see how you are feeling about that!
