Season 5, Episode 7
Yes Love is a Big Word
The Divine Ms. Pump claims here holiday was very busy with entertaining, decorating and cooking. I think she was “directing” people to do those jobs. I wish I was that kind of exhausted from telling other people what to do!
So as you know, when I was invited to “The housewarming party,” my gut reaction was to avoid it like the plague. I had commented to Brandi at Kyle’s house I wasn’t even interested in warming her slippers at this point.
Can I admit that I am still perplexed that she went? I get it that she wanted to take the air out of the balloon by just showing and squashing the opportunity to gossip about her, but I don’t think I could have gone. Lisa talks about how Brandi was desperate to join the group when she came on and how she was really the only one to embrace her (I think Lisa has a bit of a “rescue” complex).
I decided to go to the party as I knew–and from seeing this footage of the group–that if I didn’t, I would be the topic of conversation, so arriving with a bottle of champagne stops it in its tracks. Now the conversation with Brandi’s parents I thought was sweet–the way they were obviously aware that our relationship was no longer a positive one. Her mother, who I had invited to join us at dinner previously, a sweet woman, gently tried to explain how Brandi works, hurting feelings and then apologizing. It’s just unfortunate at this time. I am not interested. The friendship was not deep enough to weather that kind of storm. In regard to Brandi’s generous offer at my clothing event as she abused my beautiful olive tree, was supposed to shock, but no it was harmless. Words are just that. It didn’t offend me, but as usual, it was a classless example of somebody trying to garner attention.
I found it pretty funny that Brandi’s parents shared Lisa’s pain. Brandi seems to hurt the ones she claims to love the most. Lisa explains that Brandi didn’t just “hurt her”. She was calculated and tried everything to destroy her reputation. In this case, forgiveness is not really an option, therefore, she isn’t holding a grudge; she is practicing self-protection. Lisa says she isn’t angry or bitter. She says “forewarned is forearmed” and I agree 100%. When people tell you who they are (or truly show you who they are) BELIEVE them! Don’t convince yourself that they weren’t themselves.
Yolanda mentions yet again that I failed to invite her to another important event in my life, the opening of PUMP, and that if we were friends, I would’ve done so. Correct. At that time, to invite all those women could not have been furthest from my mind. Also the whole Vanderpump Rules group would be there, which, as you know, Scheana was part of, bearing in mind that she was working for me for years before I was friends with Brandi, before anyone was aware that there was a connection. So knowing that, even if I was closer to any of them, I would not put myself in that position again. I would never question why I was not invited somewhere. I wouldn’t want to go to a party that I wasn’t invited to.
OY! Yolanda needs to let sleeping dogs lie. She is a person that likes the sound of her own voice and loves to just complain about other people’s bad behavior yet doesn’t see her own.
Yes, love is a big word, and that hurt to see that. I don’t use it flippantly. I love Mohammed and Yolanda’s children. Of that, I am sure. Many, many weekends and lunches with them and Mohamed have created that bond. I have always been hopeful that Yolanda would be included in that equation.
I have a very strong feeling that Mohammed got Lisa V. in the divorce and Yolanda is just holding a grudge! LOL! I have a feeling Lisa and Ken have a very strong relationship with Mohammed and really don’t care who or what he sleeps with. I also suspect Yolo doesn’t love Shiva so very much either. Lisa tells us she hadn’t seen the women since Puerto Rico and the horrible reunion. When Brandi suggested for the 1-millionth time that Scheana was a BFF of her’s, it was ludicrous. Lisa says she doesn’t really befriend those 30 years her junior. (whew, I could still make the cut!) She is an employee, friend of her daughter’s. She is a young woman that made a mistake, but isn’t her BFF. Can we now move on from this? Can we please?
I appreciated the fact that Lisa and Eileen were kind enough not to be dragged into the negativity. I have enjoyed getting to know Eileen for sure. I do feel there is a divide between women who are fulfilled and happy in their lives, stimulated by their careers or the demands of motherhood and are not searching for something negative. That is a woman I bond with for sure.
I am surprised that Lisa R. wasn’t a little more vehement in shutting down the shit talking since Lisa V. is her “real” friend, but I understand that Bravo needs the drama to be brought out so Lisa had to sit by and listen. Lisa sends us on our way to ring in the New Year. She offered a prayer for those families that lost loved ones on the AsiaAir flight (horrific). She says Life is so unpredictable. We always must try to remember what is important. Too true.
I Took One for the Team
Yolanda hopes we all had a great holiday. She shares that she has been pretty sick again. Says it took her 3 days to write this blog. She says her last day she felt truly good was the day of Brandi’s housewarming. Too bad she had to waste that day at Bobblehead’s house.
Anyway, the short of it was that it meant a lot to me to see Guy and Judy Glanville sharing in this great moment. We all got to see their daughter back on her feet after a painful divorce but now back in a beautiful home and starting a new life with her sons.
This girl has been handed every opportunity on a silver platter since her divorce. She has written books capitalizing on this so called horrific thing that was done “to her”. I am always reminded, there are 2 people in a marriage. Brandi invited other women into her bed with her husband and then got upset when Eddie wanted to take another woman into his bed. Not surprised. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
I was happy to see all the women show up for this happy occasion, including Adrienne, and mostly Lisa V.’s attempt in engaging in the process of moving forward. Again, it is time to stop talking about the past. Brandi has begged for forgiveness too many times and almost took down that gorgeous olive tree, but at this point, it takes two to tango.
Brandi has not “begged for forgiveness” because she has never said “I’m sorry”. She begs for attention. I don’t believe Lisa V. talks about the past, but she is reminded of how she has been treated in the past and will not allow it to happen again. Shit on me once, shame on you. Shit on me twice, shame on me! (credit to my Mama!)
Portia is very smart and just cracks me up. I guess she is the most truthful young lady in our group and knows more than we might give her crediti for. So cute seeing her make a sandwich. It makes me miss my girls at that age. This is about the right time to teach her to start sorting out dirty laundry by color and running the washing machine. It is often a great game for girls that age. My mom made me iron laundry every Friday after school at age eight, and even though I hate ironing and don’t do it very often, it’s important to be able to take care of yourself.
Get over yourself Yolanda! Also, don’t tell Kyle how to raise her girls. So far, Kyle’s girls have managed to avoid being arrested. You, on the other hand, have not accomplished that. Portia is a little girl and doing what little girls do.
I was excited to finaly see PUMP, a beautiful place. Definitely a restaurant you must visit when coming to town. I appriciate the fact that Lisa V. takes time out of her busy schedule to do a charity tea for a cause close to her heart, and we were all happy to be there and support her.
I call BS on this whole paragraph. Yolanda is the neediest friend of this group. She is all “ME ME ME”.
The ALS ice bucket challenge was really the most brilliant publicity stunt of 2014, and it has brought worldwide awareness for a barely-known disease. I gladly took one for the team. My best friend Ellie Ducret has been battling this most brutal and fatal disease I past three years. I have slowly watched her lose the use of every single muscle in her body, being left paralyzed, dependent on others, while her precious spirit and perfectly brilliant brain is trapped inside. She is my hero. She taught me that you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have left. I turn to her on the days I feel sorry for myself. I’m battling this crazy Lyme disease, but she puts it all in perspective real fast. She gives me strength and is the person that defines a true friend to me. I love the quote, “Best friends are people who make your problems their problems just so you I have to go through them alone!”
I loved watching everyone do the ice buck challenge last month, but I always hoped that everyone made sure to donate, too! This is a horrific illness that breaks a person’s body down til there is nothing left but a shell and the worst part is, the mind is fully aware of all of this. At least with Alzheimer’s the mind is the first piece to go and the person with this disease is unaware. I think it would be so much worse to be aware of your body failing bit by bit. OK, stepping off my soapbox.
With that said, I wish you all a very happy New Year, and I pray that each day love, health, and happiness will come your way.
I do hope Yolanda’s health takes a turn for the good. Noone deserves to suffer.
Brandi Showed Us How Not to Make Amends
Eileen believes this to be an interesting episode. Hmmm, that is putting it mildly. She says Brandi’s home has a nice view. See, Eileen has manners and is trying to find something polite to say about Brandi. Note: Eileen never once offers to eat anyone’s private bits. Contrary to her label as “tramp”, she is not interested in this particular lifestyle choice. Eileen shares that PUMP is a beautiful, classy restaurant. Perhaps a place one would not offer to eat your lady bits (well, it is a Gay Bar so I imagine the offer might be implied by some, but at this pleasant afternoon of tea and tiny sandwiches, it was not.)
And then it happened. Brandi ripped off a branch from an extremely old olive tree and then made Lisa V. an offer apparently she can refuse. I’m not quite sure what Brandi was hoping to accomplish. Maybe she’s showing us how not to make amends? It does seem that Lisa V. is having none of it, and who could blame her?
Lisa and Kyle’s faces upon seeing that Brandi has removed a branch is priceless. Kyle and Kim’s faces after being told about Brandi’s offer were even better.
I’m hoping for a little more clarity after the tea when we all went for dinner. It seems Brandi is upset with Lisa V. for having a server working for her that slept with her ex-husband. That would be uncomfortable. It seems they have a long road ahead of them before they can patch up their friendship. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone sat down and hashed out their differences with a mediator? Oh wait! They do! It’s called RHOBH reunion!
On August 24, 2009, Eddie filed for a divorce from Brandi. This happened over 5 years ago (and the affair with Scheana was long before that). What is the statute of limitations on whining about your cheating X?
“Colonel Angus! Colonel Angus! I just love Colonel Angus.” Sorry. That’s a line from a Saturday Night Live skit starring Christopher Walken as…Colonel Angus. That’s all I could think of during that conversation with the ladies at PUMP.
I love Christipher Walken on SNL. I did not love him as Captain Hook in the much anticipated live version of Peter Pan. Eileen claims next week looks like so much fun. I can’t read her yet, but I am pretty sure she is being sarcastic.
Next week looks like so much fun! I can’t wait! Happy New Year!
Portia is My Spirit Animal
Lisa is excited for the new year and all it has in store for us. She gives Portia a “shout out”. The scene was quite cute and very natural for a child to say something silly. It was very smart of Kyle to shut it down knowing she was being filmed.
Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure Portia and I are spirit animals. I owe that cute (and very smart!) little girl lunch!
It was cute! She talks about co-hosting Access Hollywood and how she got the hosting bug when she filling in for Kathie Lee on Live With Regis and Kathie Lee. She hosted Soap Talk for 4 years (I kinda remember this, but have not had the soap channel for years). She also enjoyed getting the opportunity to dump some ice on herself for a good cause.
Speaking of, I was also very impressed to see Yolanda step up and take the ALS ice bucket challenge right there on the spot during Lisa’s tea at PUMP! Her best friend has ALS and clearly she would do anything to show her support. Kudos to Yolanda.
I just hope that everyone who dumped the water on themselves also had a donation.
What a lovely opportunity Lisa V. provided all of us to be able to help give back to the teenage girls in foster care. I was thrilled to donate a few of my dresses, especially the navy blue gown I designed for my Lisa Rinna Collection on QVC! All of us are incredibly fortunate and blessed to have so much, so anytime I can offer my service, time, or personal belongings for a good cause or charity, I’m so there. Throw in a lovely tea time at PUMP with the girls, and it’s a no brainer!
I wonder how many of those teenage girls want to wear one of Lisa R.’s flowy QVC dresses to their homecoming dance. OK, I am being mean. I am glad that they all donated to this cause. I love that Lisa V. gives back to children in foster care because she knows all too well that Max could have been one of those kids.
So, I feel like the olive branch thing kinda backfired on Brandi a bit, but I get what she was trying to do. I also know how much Lisa’s 100-year-old olive trees mean to her, so Brandi yanking a big branch off of one of the olive trees probably wasn’t really the best offering. Not sure offering to “you know what” her pussy was the best idea either, although it sure as hell made for a hilarious conversation, didn’t it? Apparently, I said the word “cunnilingus” six times in one minute. Not sure I have ever actually used that word in a sentence, and here I was saying it six times in one minute over a cup of tea at PUMP. Let’s also just state for the record I have never even written the the word “cunnilingus,” and I have now typed it out twice in this paragraph. Since I seem to be on a roll, I may as well mention how funny it was to hear Yolanda say cunnilingus and then wonder if it was a vegetable! Good times and many laughs were had thanks to that ridiculous conversation!
Um, I really have no words. I am shocked that my “spellcheck” isn’t underling cunnilingus. I am also shocked I just typed that word. I am not a prude, but don’t think I have ever used that word in conversation. Lisa R. says she felt as though she was in an awkward situation when they went to Il Cielo to allow Brandi and Yolo to shit talk Lisa V. Lisa R. says that everyone’s feelings are valid (I say if they are based on facts…not shit they have made up in their head, then they are valid). Lisa R. says she is well aware there are hurt feelings all the way around and there is a need for healing and closure.
But this pattern tends to be a natural progression of life, doesn’t it? Conflict that hopefully leads to resolution. In the case of Brandi and Lisa, I feel as if they’re dancing the cha-cha with one another. Forward and back with some more forward and back. I suggest you buckle your seatbelts because this is definitely shaping up to be a wild ride!
I am pleased that each lady is telling us things are about to get going; they better not disappoint! I have a feeling that Eileen will not take having a glass of wine thrown on her. I am hoping she truly puts Brandi in her place. Lisa wishes us a fun, safe and blessed New Year!
Lisa V. was Making Me Uncomfortable
Am I wrong for wishing she hadn’t written a blog again this week? Why must I be subjected to this? Anyhoo…Brandi starts off politely talking about her rental-housewarming party. How many of you all have had a housewarming party when you rented your 5th home in 5 years? Right. I think perhaps Brandi decided she needed to “host” an event since she never has. She said she invited everyone; her parents, the HWs, pseudo-friends. She tells us that Lisa V.had told her in no uncertain terms she wasn’t coming to warm her house, her slipper, her coffee. She says she rushed around all day and was running a few minutes late which would explain why she forgot to put double stick tape on her busoms in order to avoid a “nip slip”. If you were paying attention, Bravo did blur her nips a few times as they were peaking out at us. But hey, it was a “proper housewarming”. Brandi tells us everyone looked great (thin) and she was catching up with her good friend Leeza Gibbons. Oh Leeza, please. Leeza was on Celebrity Apprentice and I imagine they became “celebrity friends” during this. I doubt very much Leeza considers Brandi a good friend, but since Brandi is pretty limited in the friendship area, she will latch on to whoever she can. Brandi share s that she was surprised to see Lisa and Ken show up. She says all her friends see that Lisa and her (Brandi) have chemistry. Hmmm. Anyhoo, I am just glad we didn’t have to witness Brandi drunk out of her mind. Thank you Bravo.
Lisa V. invited us all to PUMP, which is gorgeous, for a charity event benefiting foster children. I was happy to go but felt a little uncomfortable every time Lisa V. looked at me. She would just stare and not speak. It made me uncomfortable, and when I’m nervous, I just joke. Cut to the olive branch and the cunnilingous comment. I asked Lisa V. to lunch to speak in a more private environment, and it was like pulling teeth to get an answer, so I was like, what shall I do, Your Highness, so that you grace me with your presence? Eat your pussy? It was a joke, but I am happy to hear that Ken stills goes down under for Her Majesty.
First, please not that Brandi did not “spellcheck” The Word. I realize that when Brandi asked Lisa to lunch, it was kind a awkward. Brandi wanted an answer NOW and Lisa wanted to keep her hanging a bit. I see Lisa is very tentative to jump back in. Then Brandi makes the offer. Can it get worse? Yes, she then tells us how happy she is that Ken still takes care of our Divine Ms. Pump. I seriously just threw up in my mouth. WHY? Again, I am not a prude. I can swear like a sailor. I call my BFF a Beotch or a Whore when we talk. BUT, I am not on national TV. I am not constantly going to court fighting about custody and child support. I sit her shaking my head. Her parents must be so proud.
It was nice that Yo did the ice bucket challenge without hesitation as her best friend is suffering with this horrible disease ALS. I’m liking Lisa Rinna, and I get how hard she has worked and for how long. She sings, dances, acts, hosts, is a great wife and mother, and stays looking fresh as a fu**ing daisy. Eileen looks great, and the workouts are really paying off. I’m still getting to know the new gals but am enjoying my time hanging with Kim and Yolanda more then anyone else.
Again, I give Yololemon props for allowing The Divine Ms. Pump to dump that bucket of icy cold water on her white jean wearing self (another question, how many of you own white jeans? Is this a trend I am unaware of?). I reiterate, I hope they all donated to the ALS campaign, too. Lisa R. is truly a hustler. I love this about her. I saw a commercial for Law and Order SVU you last night and it looks like HH (Harry Hamlin) is on an upcoming episode which proves he is also a hustler. Brandi compliments Eileen which means she paid attention when Bravo instructed her to write the blog as though she is still in the mind frame of the episode. So, Kim and Yolo are outed as official members of Team Brandi. I am on any other team than the one Brandi is on. Just sayin’.
