Brandi Glanville Podcast Recapped by Kit9
Guest: Mary Joe Eustace, ex wife of Dean from Tori and Dean.
Mary and Brandi have a lot in common. Mary’s husband, Dean, went off to do a movie with Tori Spelling and they fell in love. Just like Eddie and Leann. At the time, Mary had nobody to call and talk to that could relate to what she was going through. Brandi says dealing with the break up is still hard. Within a year of Mary’s breakup, Dean and Tori were declaring their love on their own reality show.
Mary was asked to be on Tori and Dean. She turned it down and claims their producer blackballed her “from things”. Brandi claims that Eddie and Leann offered her a ton of money to appear on their show. She says they deny it but they did. Brandi whines that she had to face the breakup, “all the questions” on Access Hollywood, on Extra, on the cover of US Weekly.
Brandi can’t believe that Eddie thought she was going to just go away quietly. Women still come up to her and hug her. Mary has had people send her money. Brandi thinks that she has helped “so many people..”to admit that this is happening and to be strong and to find their sass again”. Brandi says that every tabloid had her phone number,”somehow”(by somehow, she means she gave it to them).
Mary feels there were people out to get her after the break up. She didn’t trust anyone. Brandi was happy being a wife and mother and didn’t want the limelight before the breakup. Mary also wrote a book. Mary mentions her parents have been married for fifty years. Brandi’s have to and she says their marriage is “dysfunctional” and “it is what it is”(that’s nice! Sure her parents will love to hear that!).
Brandi says that she wouldn’t be the person or where she is today without the breakup. She doesn’t regret anything. It made her find herself. When married all she cared about was Eddie. Mary thinks you have to stand up for yourself in a divorce proceeding. Tori once brought a knife to a meeting with Mary. Mary gets child support for their natural child together but not their adopted daughter.
Brandi talks karma for Leann and says, of Eddie, “once a cheater, always a cheater which he’s proving, actually”. Mary did go on Tori and Dean’s show and she says it got record ratings for the show. Totally Random Maryfact: Mary only washes her hair once a week. Dean did, 10 years later, apologize to Mary. Eddie never has.
Brandi recaps her breakup for Mary. How she encouraged Eddie to do the film with Leann. How she wasn’t threatened by Leann. Brandi hooked up with Eddie after he cheated and “allegedly” let Leann know by sending her a tape of a phone conversation between herself and Eddie. “It might have happened”.
Brandi tells a shocked Mary that Eddie and Tori hooked up way back when. Apparently Eddie dated Tori when they were both on 90201. Mary claims that she wasn’t allowed to leave California during her divorce proceeding. When Mary met Tori, Tori wanted to be best friends with her and Tori was upset when Mary told her she wasn’t a good person.
Tori also told Dean that she and Mary were “soul mates” to Mary’s dismay. Brandi thinks there are parallels between Leann and Tori. They both grew up rich in the public eye and mentions how Leann claims she didn’t have a childhood. Brandi says she’s acting like a child now. Mary doesn’t know Leann but thinks she’s mentally unstable.
Brandi rehashes the story of how she found out Eddie was cheating, meeting Leann and her husband for double dates, etc etc…the therapy sessions with Leann and Eddie, all things she covered in her book, apparently.
Mary says she and Brandi are sisters. Mary proposes she and Brandi do a show together that helps women with the issue of cheating husbands. Brandi claims to have had the same idea and says she intended to pitch the idea to someone soon. Mary says their show would be empowering and inspiring(ah huh).
Brandi thinks Mary could be the conservative one while Brandi is setting fires and slashing tires. Mary had a cooking show in Canada. They both are annoyed when referred to as scorned women. Brandi claims, as she has before, that that she engaged in revenge sex with some of Eddie’s friends.
Brandi is obsessed with skin care. She has an oxygen machine and LED lights. She talks about some tattoo procedure that fills in “white dots” on her skin but I can’t tell if she’s actually done it or not. She claims she doesn’t spend money on clothes, just beauty products.
Mary is gluten free. Her daughter was diagnosed with alopecia and Mary claims going gluten free made a big difference. Brandi says she can’t afford to shop at Whole Foods. Brandi whines that she wants to improve her kids diet but that she has to watch “every penny”. Mary doesn’t think you should have to pay a fortune for good food and has figured out how to do it which she talks about in her upcoming book. She prefers Sprouts over Whole Foods.
Brandi is a coupon clipper but says she has a very expensive car because there “has to to be a balance”(a balance between saving .60 on toilet paper and driving a 100K car?). Brandi has met with her publisher about a cook book. She says she wants it to be funny and “a little more provocative than your normal cook book”. Mary did a “cougar cook book”.
Brandi says she switched to alkaline water to help with her skin problems(insert alcohol joke here). She “really believes you are what you eat”(insert alcohol joke here), yet she admits she eats Del Taco. But, she’s trying to change that “for her kids sake”. Brandi says she’ll try going gluten free as long she can afford it(insert alcohol joke here).
Brandi talks JR. She had good sex last night. He snores. Mary asks if Brandi enjoys doing the show. It’s had it’s ups and downs. Gives her a platform for her other projects but they only show a “certain side of her” because they can’t show her with her kids or in business meetings(snort!).
She has to socialize with women she probably wouldn’t otherwise and these women can be “intimidating and judgmental”(because telling someone that they’ve never been there for their sister and screaming, “bring it, bitch!” isn’t at all judgey or intimidating). She then complains about editing not showing everything that happens and says “you can think you have a great season, then you watch and you’re like ‘oh'”.
Mary asks how she handles things that happen on the show and Brandi says she recently had “a little breakdown because of some things happening that I don’t think should be happening” but that she’s taking care of two little men and she has no education so what was she going to do? She credits the show with “saving” her life and making her financially stable.
She goes on about how she’s happy CA will show another side of her. That’s she’s not always drunk, crazy, fighting and yelling. That’s not who she is and that if it was was, she wouldn’t be where she is in her life(which is where, exactly? Acting a drunken crazy fool fighting and yelling on reality tv?).
Brandi is addicted to the tabloids. She blames this on her cheating scandal. Mary did Tori and Dean’s reality show for the cash, to show who she really is and to promote her books. Brandi admits she has someone help her with social media(no?!).
Does Mary respect Dean? She says she will never hate Dean and will always have a soft spot for him. She wants him to be happy and a good father for her son. She hopes he can get back into acting and Brandi doesn’t think that will happen.
Brandi claims she and JR are really going to try and be a couple now. Mary doesn’t have a boyfriend. Brandi only communicates with Eddie through email. Brandi claims he and Leanne’s show was VH1’s lowest rated show in history and that she sent him a message congratulating him on the accomplishment.
