Want to Blog for Nene Leakes?
In an episode of “I kid you not,” on the day of the announcement that NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak have been given yet another spinoff – “Roads to Riches,” NeNe gave Bravo the ultimate FU by not only refusing to blog, but asking fans to blog for her. Apparently she’s no longer talking – as in talking to her cast mates. That reunion must have gone about the same way as the therapy session with Doctor Jeff. So break out your pens, sharpen your pencils, and create a blog for the delusional diva.
The Shahs Of Sunset – It’s Nuclear Now by SunnyGirl
The wedding actually did take place over the weekend and Jessica and Mike were married. Adam, Reza, Asifa, Bobby, Asa and her boyfriend, Jermaine all attended. Obviously, GG did not attend but it looks as though MJ was not in attendance either.
(By the way, if you’re looking for a good show to watch, check out Bloodline on Netflix. It is amazing! And Kyle Chandler is pretty nice to look at.)
The show starts at Reza’s condo/apartments that he is flipping. He has a 90 day window to flip and demolition hasn’t even started.
Reza starts demolition himself. Then he calls Adam to say that the flipping and wedding are really stressing him out . Reza says that they need to go back to the original plan of a destination wedding and not his mother’s plan of a big wedding at the Four Seasons. He and Adam decide on Thailand.
Next is Asifa and GG at breakfast time. GG talks about Asifa needing to take her time before marrying Bobby. Asifa asks about GG about her relationship. GG says she is working on herself and isn’t ready to start dating again. Asifa asks if maybe she likes girls. GG scoffs and replies that she is “strictly dickly!”
She then talks about a three and a half year relationship she had. She says it was good for three years and then he cheated on her. She says she is sick of Persian men cheating on women. (See where this is going? GG is still hurting about the ex and is going to take it out on Mike. I do think something happened just not sure what yet.)
We next see Shervin’s house, which is absolutely amazing. He is out by the pool with his friend, Nima when MJ arrives. Of course, the conversation turns to the revelations GG shared at Adam’s birthday party. They all feel it was awkward and definitely not the place to have that conversation. Shervin states that it really bothers him because it isn’t a secret any more, except to Mike.
They discuss Shervin’s housewarming party. He refers to MJ as a “housewarming ‘ho”. There will be at least 150 but Shervin assures them that they will have security. (Sad to have to have security at a housewarming party but these are the Shahs.)
Nima and Shervin are single. MJ talks about all the single girls that will be at the party. Nima and Shervin agree that the more “likes” you have on an Instagram pictures, the more the girls like you. Nima shows a picture of him in a bathtub filled with Cheetos and claims that girls really liked it. (Really? Did anyone else think that was hot? Because I sure didn’t. But I’m an old fart.)
Asa and her dad are at her parents’ house. By the way, Asa is dressing and looking really good this season. Her business ventures must be paying off. Asa says that her parents are still living at Camp Priestess while the house is being renovated.
While they are discussing renovation details, Asa talks to her dad about a movement she is interested in called My Stealthy Freedom. Wikipedia describes it as “My Stealthy Freedom is an online movement that was commenced by a London-based journalist Masih Alinejad. This movement started from a Facebook page My Stealthy Freedom where women from Iran post their photos without scarfs, as Iranian women have to cover their hair in public according to local Islamic dress code. This rule was forced after the Iranian revolution in 1979.” This is the part of the Shahs that interests me and why I keep watching.
Asa wants to start a movement in LA that will be very public and will include dropping the veil. She claims that the veil should be a choice for a woman, not a requirement. Asa’s dad is concerned about the risk.
Now we go from an intelligent discussion to Shervin’s house, where MJ is setting up a camera with a tripod in front of a bathtub with Cheetos in it. She has Shervin strip down and get in the tub while she proceeds to dump more #flaminghotCheetos on him. He claims that it feels like something is tingling in his ass.
Thank God we are back to something that is somewhat normal. Asa meets with a feminist author, Nina Ansary. (If anyone is interested, her website is www.ninaansary.com ) Asa calls her the foremost expert on feminism in Iran. They discuss that they are the same warriors in the same battle, but coming at it from different directions. Asa says that Islam does not denigrate women, but the extremists do. She says women are putting their lives on the line to change that.
We see Asa’s ideas of the sexy, gold jewelry/veil that she wants to use for her movement in LA. This should prove to be an interesting episode. I want to hammer that into the producer’s heads at Bravo. I want to see more of the Persian culture and less of the Persian clash.
Mike and Jessica are at Mike’s house, talking about Shervin’s party. Mike asks Jessica if she really wants to go. Jessica tells him he sure isn’t going without her. Jessica leaves the room so that she can model an Herve swimsuit. Mike talks about the picture that GG posted on Instagram of GG and Jessica together. Mike says he was cut out of the picture. GG says it wasn’t a good picture of Mike. Mike posts the same picture on Instagram, with a tag over GG’s face saying “bad picture.” Obviously Mike wants to fire up GG.
Mike acts confused about the GG relationship. He says that the three of them used to hang out together all the time. And he just doesn’t understand why GG seems to be avoiding him.
Reza and Adam arrive at Shervin’s to find two camels. (This reminds me of RHOBH when Mohammad had an engagement party for Pandora and there was a camel. Bravo – no more camels, okay?) Reza says they don’t ride camels in Iran, that it’s a cliché. Reza asks where the flying carpets are? (Now that was funny.)
The group discusses, yet again, that while they understand GG’s issue, talking about it to everyone else while at Adam’s birthday party was just the wrong setting. They all feel that GG needs to handle this. Shervin is bothered by knowing about it without talking to Mike about it.
When GG arrives she is very friendly with Jessica but gives Mike the cold shoulder. It is irritating her that Mike is looking at all the pretty, sexy girls at the party while Jessica is right there.
Mike makes some comment about GG being upset regarding the Instagram picture. GG blows up. She screams about Mike trying to screw her in Turkey. (Just an aside – this is not the normal GG/Lochnesa raging. GG actually acts hurt more than mad.) Mike doesn’t seem to look surprised about this. He says it’s BS and all heresay.
The cameras cut to Jessica. She looks absolutely devastated.
GG says she knew Mike would deny it, but when it happened it really hurt. GG is trying hard to calm down and removes herself from the area. (Has GG attended anger management classes? While she still doesn’t handle conflict appropriately, she has not been a screaming, violent lunatic.)
Mike turns on the rest of the Shahs. He is upset with them and says they treated him badly. Asa asks point blank if GG is lying. Mike skirts around that answer and is still yelling at the Shahs about their part in this.
Jessica gets up and says she is leaving to Mike. Asa asks her where she is going and Jessica responds “FU.” Wow. The anger seems to be a bit displaced with both Mike and Jessica.
Asa tries to get Mike to talk to GG. Mike tells her absolutely not. Asa reminds him that innocent people don’t run.
GG is upset about the way she handled the situation. She says she likes Mike and Jessica together and she doesn’t want to hurt them. GG claims that she feels disrespected by Mike. She wants to talk to Jessica, but Mike and Jessica are having no part of that.
Jessica is screaming to Mike to yank off his mic. I think she already removed her. In the back of the limo, you can hear Jessica screaming that she doesn’t care about the show and that she wants to leave. She is hysterical.
Everyone is in agreement, including GG, that this happened in the worst possible scenario. And, of course, the show ended so that we will see the fallout next week.
I learned three things while watching the Shahs this week –
- The movement to allow Iranian women to choose to wear a veil.
- Persian women like to see Persian men bathing in Cheetos.
- The penis on a camel points backward.
